Love the game so far. The collector's edition is awesome. One small complaint however. I don't like how the game i s held in the art booklet. I wish they gave us a standard game case or at least one with an alternate art. I wanted to give my mom the artbook because she is a huge batman fan. Unfortunately, I like to keep my games organized on a bookshelf and not having its own case is a little annoying.

I pre-ordered the collector's edition as soon as it became available on here back in July. Batman has been my favorite hero since I was three years old and I loved Arkham Asylum. I'm already halfway through the game and can tell you it is a work of art. Although Arkham Asylum was such an amazing game, it seems as though it was just a long Demo for this game. The story is awesome and running into most of the Gotham villains in the same night is exactly how I view the Dark Knight spending his nights. It reminds me of the Hush run by Jeph Loeb & Jim Lee where Batman faces villain after villain and always finds a way to come out on top.

I must admit that I did not think it was possible to top the great game play of Batman Arkham Asylum. I figured the sequel would be equally as good, but perhaps not anything beyond what I had already experienced in Asylums game play. Well, I was wrong, and I gladly admit that. I pre-ordered the game on Amazon and it arrived on on my door step on its scheduled release date. The unboxing of the collectors edition was great. Lots of extras such as Penguin Lounge and Catwoman redeemable codes for PS3, the soundtrack download, a beautiful Batman figurine and a very nice booklet with illustrations of Batman characters. I even received an Arkham City comic book (I already had the 5 issue set so this 6th comic book was nice). If you're a Batman fan you will love it this collectors edition. As far as the game play goes, I don't want to spoil the fun but it is definitely longer gameplay than Arkham Asylum and the graphics are out of this world. Arkham City has a pretty large environment to move around in compared to Arkham Asylum. The riddles are more fun to figure out and plenty of side missions to keep the player interested in the game. I found myself switching from doing the side missions and then going back to the main story just to keep things in balance. The story line is very well written. Of course you may have seen the trailer and know The Joker is in this game, but to my surprise the game has more villains that I imagined; very awesome. You have similar gadgets as in Asylum but then get some very awesome ones in the game as well that are required to retrieve Riddler trophies (a concept from Asylum that was greatly improved) that are scattered all over the place. The good thing about this game is how you unlock character bios and artwork concepts with each trophy you find, so there is an incentive to collect them all and there is well over a hundred trophies and plenty of riddles to solve, so its no walk in the park. I am telling you, this game will keep you busy and on your toes. This game is a must for any Batman or superhero enthusiast. I know I'll be playing this game for a while. If you have not played Batman Arkham Asylum (you're depriving yourself from an awesome game) then do yourself a favor and buy the game, yes buy it because it is an awesome game, and play it through to the end. You will need to in order to understand the story line as it picks up from Asylums ending. I got the Batman Arkham City Batarang from Amazon as well. Very nice PS3 controller.

I was a huge fan of the first Batman (Arkham Asylum). I was glad when the announcement came for a Collector's Edition of the second coming came.

The Batman statue is actually well made, individually numbered and well worth the extra in my opinion. I have been using all the collectors editions statuettes for bookends for quite some time.

The Art Book is hard bound, the only draw back I have found with this edition is, the game disc snaps into the back of the art book. I would have preferred an actual game case over this but no such luck.

The downloadable content is ok, but I do not play much of anything online multiplayer so this nagates some of the Extra content included, Although the catwoman "missions" add extra value to the game.

Also just an FYI install your catwoman DLC before you start the game, you will see that it changes the intro and many other things a good degree.

The game is very well done, the fighting seems to be tighter, the graphics are still gritty gotham city. But I really appreciate the open world feel of this game. The same voices as the animated series make their triumphant return in this sequel as well, which was a welcome addition.

There are plenty of Bat gadgets and so many things to do a completionist will spend a lot of time with this game.

Over all I enjoyed the game just as much if not more than the previous and cannot wait for AA3 hopefully. What a great way to reboot the batman franchise in gaming. They pulled the AA games off flawlessly.

While I enjoyed Arkham Asylum more, that doesn't mean this game isn't as fun as the first.

It keeps everything I enjoyed from the first one: fast paced fist & gadget fights, in-depth back stories of every main character you meet and the familiar artifacts of the Batman lore.

They also add some great features like multiple story arcs, more detailed detective missions and better hints to figuring out Riddler's trophies/riddles

That's right! Unlike the last game, Riddler's trophies/riddles are challenging, instead of nearly impossible to figure out without looking online.

To top off an amazing game, the Collector's Edition comes with an incredibly detailed statue and a neat little art book (which is also the game's case). It also comes with various DLC, a soundtrack and a DVD of Batman: Gotham Knight

So in other words, buy Batman: Arkham City. If you haven't played Arkham Asylum, buy that one too.
