first off i would like to state that in the description of this item it doesn't even say that it has vents where it covers up the ps3's intake vents on the side. this was a big plus to me because no other stand has this and im not a fan of suffocating my ps3 anymore than i have to. with these vents and the fact that the ps3 is vertical so both the top and bottom are exposed it stays very cool. plus you dont have to dust your ps3 as much and it has a smaller foot print.

pros of the stand:

sturdy (ps3 will not fall down or out of it even if you push pretty good on either side, another stand i had would not hold the ps3 in place well)

looks nice (has the same finish as the ps3 slim)

usb ports work well (iv never tried to use more than two at a time though)

cons:

i read elsewhere that you cant use all 4 usb ports at once

usb cable has a big connector type piece in the middle of it (not a big deal but i wish it were just the small cable all the way through)

overall this stand is awesome, and is the best one i could find. it also is one of the only cases that does not block the ps3's air vents on the side.

I purchased this stand in order to get 4 extra usb ports. I recently bought Guitar Hero World Tour and when I tried to plug all the instruments into their own individual usb port, the PS3 said that there were too many things plugged into 1 port. There are other products out there that give you multiple usb ports AND all of the media drive slots for the PS3 Slim. Then again, if you are just looking for a stand that has usb ports on the front of it, then this isn't a bad product. Just don't expect to use all of the ports at the same time.

If you are looking for a stand for the ps3 slim, look no further. I've only had it for about a week, but so far it functions perfectly. The ps3 slim fits perfectly and the stand matches the console well. the 4 port usb charge docks all function I only use them to charge my various controllers (Move / Dual Shock). Oh yeah, I also charge my Zune on it. Great stand for the $$.

This stand looks good and stabilizes the PS3 Slim vertically in the shelf which then gives me better access and the required surface distances from the PS3 for cooling according to the manual. It also has vents which facilitate the air flow through the bottom side vents for cooling the PS3 slim (which some stands don't have and thus block some side vents on the PS3) plus it adds 4 extra usb ports giving me some spare.

This is an item that you need if you have a slim Playstation 3. It's the ultimate stand. The extra usb ports are great. You can use a lot of usb powered devices with this stand. I would highly recommend.
