I bought this cable with the sole purpose of extending the short cable that the Playstation Eye has been designed with. I already own a USB extension cable that I bought from a local electronics store but that cable does not allow the Playstation Eye to connect to the PS3 for some reason. This cable allows the PS3 EYE to connect to the PS3.

Simply put, this cable does what it is supposed to do, but you may not need it. I didn't know until I got the camera, but the stock USB/power cable it comes with, is 6.5 feet long, so before you buy this extension cable, think about your set-up and whether you need "extra" cable. I won't give this product a low score, because it does its job. I failed to research the Eye Camera and its cable length.

If you still want this extension, you can't go wrong at its current price. The cable is well made, but it isn't anything fancy. It's basic plastic shielded, not braided; its connections both male and female nickle/tin plated, but they still work and do their job without any issues. Hope this helps.
