I found this mic while searching for "throat mics" in general. My main reason for buying this mic above all others was that it had featured a volume control and mute button, something all others seemed to lack.

In case you think that's not so bad here's a little something. If someone says they can't hear you well then you have to turn up the volume. If there isn't a volume control you have to talk louder, which usually ends up muffled or too loud.

I tested this with "Audacity" on my pc first. It showed that while it worked I couldn't hear my voice very well. I had greatest success when the mic was higher up on my neck, as far it could go.

I then tested it with my ps3 accessory settings. It showed about the same as before. I could hear my voice (clearer than when it was on audacity) but I could barely make out what words were being said when I heard the results... Also, while I was testing it on ps3 I had found that it picked up my breathing rather well (clearer than my voice when I wasn't talking). This figures as it is on your throat, where everything going through can be heard. (I haven't tried it, but I imagine that it can pick up your eating quite well too.) Not to mention that if you sneeze, cough, or move it around on your neck you can be heard clearly, so you'd best sit absolutely still (on that note: If you have a neck beard and you move around then you can hear it a lot on the receiving end...)

Pros:

+ It looks good (to me that's a plus)

+ It is adjustable to fit around your neck quite well

+ Long cord (so you can be anywhere in the room and still have it on)

+ Earpiece didn't hurt and it blocked outside sound so you could hear only the voices of other players' mics

Cons:

Lack of volume control and mute button

Muffled voice

Could hear breathing

Long cord (There is no way to keep it out of the way barring the twist tie that comes with it)

Have to sit still/ No looking around (your head has to be stationary so as not to make noise while it rubs on your neck)

In short it works, but is only useful if you're trying to mimic that muffled sound for something... You'd best search for a headset instead of a throat mic.

I was hoping this would be like Singstar with Disney songs, and to some extent it was, I just expected more. The song selection is a little bad, Seriously, lilo and stitch 2? a direct to DVD movie? No whistle while you work, no hi ho, hi ho, only 1 song from the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, but we get 4 from Cinderella? They needed to include a larger diversity of songs in this game, and including more of the songs that were bigger hits than they did. I could have done with 3 less Cinderella songs and some more from the little Mermaid, or Tarzan, or even the title song from Beauty and the Beast.

Also, be forwarned, these are the exact songs as ripped from the movies, they are not the radio versions, so over half ov "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" is Puumba and Timon talking. Also the game is incredibly easy compared to some of the other karaoke offerings out there, which is understandable as it's aimed at little kids.

The Vocal Trainer part I can see being helpful for younger players, and they will probably get a kick out of the encore mode, but adults should definitely pass this one by and grab a copy of Singstar.

Honestly I was lookign forward to this version since the first disney sing it, but when I started to go through the songs I was HIGHLY let down. I LOVE Disney and I LOVE so MANY of their movies, but this game was a serious let down. I mean it was still a lot of fun with the few songs I would actually sing. BUT GEES how is it Disney couldn't put on the game their good songs, not ones that are barely even songs... Cinderella's song are barely any singing, Toy Story's songs were so not needed (Come on now, Toy Story over Tarzan?! PSH REDICULOUS), what irritates me the most is ONLY ONE LITTLE MERMAID SONG, REALLY? UGH!!

Disney should honestly have it set up so you could down load more of the family hits to make it fair to those who are as disappointed as I am. There should be a way to update the game for free, because honestly the song choices were rediculous.

If you asked me to buy this again, my answer would be no, I wish I had been able to get it used for cheaper, I honestly find it not worth paying even 15 dollars for it. Disney really disappointed me with their song choices.

This karaoke game is so much fun for everyone! My 5 and 6 year old love it. The only trick is that you need to be familiar with some of the songs beforehand, or the kids get bored and frustrated. They are still learning to read, so the words are going faster than they are used to. It's great practice though, and has exposed us to some movies we had not seen yet. It was a blast at my 5 year old's birthday party.

My daughter's really been into the Marvel Super Hero Squad lately, and after watching some clips online from the game, she couldn't wait to run around as a little Hulk, smashing Skrulls left and right. While we ended up getting the wrong game (Sentinel, a favorite character of hers, is in the Wii game, which is completely different from The Infinity Gauntlet), we still had a lot of fun playing as all the different heroes and laughing at the weird jokes during the cutscenes. The Infinity Gauntlet is one of the few ps3 games for kids I've seen that isn't dumbed down, and has some genuinely fun gameplay mechanics. It's mostly a beat 'em up, but there are some shooter segments and some puzzles as well. Plus it even has a few DLC additions, one of which you get with the game: Captain America and the Red Skull.

The story is simpleThanos, a very powerful villain, is out to get the gems for the Infinity Gauntlet so he can have unlimited power. The gems are scattered through the universe and it's up to the Super Hero Squad to keep them from falling into his hands. At the same time, there are other villains who want the gems, such as Loki, Galactus, Doctor Doom and more. You'll play through 11 levels with many heroes: Iron Man, Hulk, Falcon, Thor, She-Hulk, the Invisible Woman, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Reptil, Wolverine, Black Widow, Nova and Spider-Man. The gameplay is a lot like the Lego games (Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.) in that you'll have two characters to control in each level, and they have unique abilities to use in certain situations. Iron Man can hack computers to open doors and use machinery, the Hulk can smash certain walls, Wolverine can whittle down blocks to fit where they're needed, Scarlet Witch can access portals, and the list goes on. You have your basic attack with the square button, special attack with triangle, and a powerful special attack with L2 when your special meter is charged up, allowing you to obliterate most enemies in one shot.

I have to hand it to the designers with having fun making a fun game. One level has Abomination throwing barrels down ramps on a building ala Donkey Kong (complete with 8-bit music), and another level has you flying an ice cream truck in space, shooting ice cream cones into Galactus' mouth to keep him from eating the planet. These segments aren't frequent, but when they show up, it's a treat. Most levels can be cleared in about 30 minutes, making this a pretty short game, but for the price, you could do much worse. This game's great to play with another person, though it has to be local, not online, and I recommend it since the AI isn't that great. There were times during boss fights when my partner would just stand there and get knocked out constantly. There were a few other frustrating parts for me, which pushed the rating back to 4 stars in both the fun and overall categories. One big problem is that some parts would go on forever, like when you have to protect objects from dozens and dozens of waves of enemies. I was going nuts with these areas, and my daughter was getting sick of them too. There was one point where I paused the game and checked an online guide to see if I was supposed to be doing something else, but no, there were just tons of enemies that had to be taken out. Another big one was the end of the 5th level, where waves of enemies respawn from paintings that you can cut down, but they recover quickly. Still, things like this didn't happen very often, so it doesn't hurt the score too much.

The graphics aren't anything special, but they get the job done. There's some slowdown when a lot of enemies are on the screen, which can be a pain sometimes. Most of the voice acting was great, and the voices really help the lines some of the characters have, like when Thor's taking a very prissy bath and the others make fun of him for it. And as I mentioned earlier, there's some DLC you can get if you go online, including the free Captain America/Red Skull voucher included with the game. As for the game's replay value, there's a Free Play mode just like in the Lego games that lets you go back to completed levels where you can use all the characters to get every collectible and complete every task. Trophy hunters will have their hands full with this.

Eventhough I got the wrong game, we still had a lot of fun with The Infinity Gauntlet. It could've been longer and those nearly endless parts with protecting computers and other things drove me insane, but this is still a heck of a lot better than most games for kids under 10 years old. Go for it.

My 7 year old newphew bought this game. He liked it alot because he played for over 8 hours the 1st day and the next day he finished it. So its about a 12 hours game. Some parts were to hard for him so since 2 people could play one has to be older. You could play by yourselve with the computers help but with the puzzels you need someone older about 10 years old and up. Now he is playing it to get more uniforms and unlock more characters. You could play story mode, free style and something else. You could get this gamne have a great time and if you want sell it back. Like i said once you pick it up you wont let it go. The game play besides the puzzels werent to bad. Its just fun to play.

I loved this game as it was a lot of fun and quite challenging near the end. It also had a bit of a puzzle aspect to it figuring out what to do with different objects (even though it would usually tell you). All in all, there's only a few boss battles that were extraordinarily challenging. Other than that, the "challenging" game mode was rather easy. The biggest turn-off for me that got me quite frustrated was the CONSTANT freezing. I had to restart my PS3 around 25 times total because this game kept freezing up on me when it tried to save data. I've never had this problem before with any game I've played, so this is quite ridiculous and the company should seriously consider updating the game so it doesn't freeze all the time. It's very annoying having to replay things over and over because the game freezes up and doesn't actually save your progress. To add insult to injury, they don't have any sort of save feature that saves your game progress in the middle of a level. The only thing you can do is save and exit to the main screen, which wastes a bit of time having to load back into the game and choose new levels, etc.

This is a really fun game, with great levels, funny characters, great voice acting, epic battles, BUT...HUGE BUT...its extremely short. The game is made up of two modes, story mode and challenge mode. Story mode takes about 6 hours to finish. Yes, thats it, about 6 hours (for an adult teamed up with a kid). There are 13 story levels, each one with a pair of superheros, which can be played 1 or 2 player. The challenge mode games are 1-4 player and they are multi-player deathmatch type games, each with a specific objective. There are some unlockables here, but not anything that really adds much to the game. There are currently 2 downloadable levels, and about 6 downloadable characters. The game kind of reminds me of Lego Batman, but with voices. However, while we are on the subject, lets compare them. Lego Batman had 18 hero levels, plus 18 villain levels with a whole crap load of unlockable characters plus a few bonus levels. Batman has about 30-50+ hours of base game play. Superhero squad has 13 levels, 2 downloadable villain levels, and about 20 unlockable characters. Hmmm, this game seems a bit lacking. Ok, there is the challenge mode, which provides fun multi-player deathmatch action, ok, thats neat for about a few hours, then the matches get old. Each character has 3 hero badges to unlock, which either unlocks a new uniform or challenge level (but even the challenge levels are basically just new levels with old match games). All in all, I really liked this game, and if you rent it, or buy it used, its totally worth playing. But, if you buy it new, then spend the $15 to download all the content, you might feel gipped.

My four year old is able to play this, not well, but not poorly, with a parent helping. We prefer the Lego games, but really wanted one with Spider-Man for him. My only pet peeve is it "dumbs down" the characters the same way it does in the marvel super hero squad show, which I didn't watch until after we got the game. It's not really a downfall, just makes it less fun for the adults. The Lego games are much more witty

I bought this cable with the sole purpose of extending the short cable that the Playstation Eye has been designed with. I already own a USB extension cable that I bought from a local electronics store but that cable does not allow the Playstation Eye to connect to the PS3 for some reason. This cable allows the PS3 EYE to connect to the PS3.

Simply put, this cable does what it is supposed to do, but you may not need it. I didn't know until I got the camera, but the stock USB/power cable it comes with, is 6.5 feet long, so before you buy this extension cable, think about your set-up and whether you need "extra" cable. I won't give this product a low score, because it does its job. I failed to research the Eye Camera and its cable length.

If you still want this extension, you can't go wrong at its current price. The cable is well made, but it isn't anything fancy. It's basic plastic shielded, not braided; its connections both male and female nickle/tin plated, but they still work and do their job without any issues. Hope this helps.

I absolutely love this game. It is packed with new content from JK Rowling, and it delivers it in a fresh, exciting way. Hold your Move controller, and on screen it turns into a wand. The plain blue book appears on screen as an ancient spellbook. Turn the pages and watch animations appear as you learn to cast spells with your wand controller. You learn incantations, methods, and origins of the spells, and then you get to practice them before taking a test that requires you to use all of the spells learned so far.

The good things about it:

-You can log in using your Pottermore account, and access your own wand and house.

-There are about 20 spells to learn, some of which are new.

-The tests are incredibly fun, and feature a number of magical creatures.

-It was written by JK Rowling!!

-You can choose whether or not you want the narrator to read the book aloud to you.

-It is very interactive, and unlike anything that has ever been done before.

The bad things about it:

-There is no replay value. Once you work your way through, there is nothing else to do.

-You need a lot of lighting in your room, otherwise the game will glitch.

-The text that you are required to read sometimes seems a bit tedious, and it takes a long time, especially when all you want to do is just cast the spells.

-There is no free play mode to just cast spells.

-There is no multiplayer.

This game is seriously so much fun, and the technology is state of the art. Hopefully there will be a sequel with improvements, seeing how this is the first, and as of now, only, title for the Wonderbook.

You are wandering around the restricted section in the library at Hogwarts when you happen upon a book of spells written by the famous witch, Miranda Goshawk. This will be your start in becoming a true wizard at Hogwarts.

Wonderbook: Book of Spells takes you through an augmented reality world of being in Hogwarts as a new student where you will learn all the spells required to become a great wizard.

The game is split up into five chapters with each one having two sections where you will learn anywhere from one to three spells. The book will explain how the spells were created in charming stories that will be told as a pop up book on screen. After all the spells are learned in a chapter you will be given the task of using all of the spells in the chapter to complete a task. Once the final task is completed you will also be given a rhyming conundrum to listen to which is regarding the skills required to become a great wizard.

The game is fairly easy to use with the PlayStation Move and Eye. The game recommends having you sit on the floor in front of your TV cross legged with the Wonderbook placed in front of you. You will then use the PlayStation Move Controller as your wand to cast spells with.

I don't have the ideal setup since my TV is above waist height and my chair is only a few feet away from my TV. I was able to place the Wonderbook on my lap and still use it rather well though. It does make casting spells with the Move controller somewhat difficult though since my arm was so close to the Wonderbook.

Another feature that Book of Spells offers is that if you have a Pottermore account then you are able to connect it with the game and your house along with your wand will transfer over. I do not have a Pottermore account so I was not able to see how well this feature operates with the game though.

Overall I have greatly enjoyed Wonderbook: Book of Spells so far and I would recommend it to fans of the Harry Potter universe or someone who is just wanting a new and interesting game to try out with the PlayStation Move. The game might be aimed at a younger audience but can still be enjoyed as an adult as well.

Buy Wonderbook: Book of Spells Now

I bought this game for my 7 and 9 year old kids for Christmas because they love all things Harry Potter. However, this game has been a pretty big dud around the house. Some reasons include:

(1) It's only one player so they can't play with each other or with friends.

(2) You have to follow the game script throughout. There is no free play, exploring or creativity allowed.

(3) The game was super easy for them to win and since there's no free play then it is basically over. No need for them to play again. And they haven't.

(4) Only movements are required to cast the spells so the pronunciation is pointless. Once the kids figured that out they rarely care about speaking the spells. Yet another limitation of the game.

In short, I wouldn't waste my money on this game. The initial promise of an original use of the move controller proved shallow and uninspiring.

NHL13 is the most impressive and frustrating entry in the NHL series. But this review specifically addresses the shortcomings of the Collector's Edition. A Special/Collector's Edition that includes only downloadable content is just fluff. There's no real content unless you want an extra boost for your Online Pro (so very insignificant) or your Ultimate Team (a bunch of Kings, Devils and Wayne Gretzky), a mode that you may or may not play. The only legitimate benefit for buying the Stanley Cup edition is not having to look at Claude Giroux and Flyer orange on the cover. But even then, he's on the disc so there's no escaping him. (He haunts my dreams.) I know most of the stuff that comes in CEs are junk. But it's junk that you can hold in your hands and show to your friends with an air of mock sincerity while they secretly consider you a fool for spending extra $20. With this edition, however, after the the novelty of beating innocent HUT players with your ageless Gretzky diminishes, the only trinket you have left is regret.

This is going to be a review on the extras included in this edition rather than a full game review. If you want to see that, go check out the standard edition reviews.

For 20 extra dollars you are getting a embossed steel case and extra DLC. The DLC is 3 ultimate team packs and a boost pack for create a pro, so if you do not play those modes, I would not recommend the product. For the ps3 edition, you also get 10 percent off a purchase on the NHL store, which i'm never going to use cause Amazon has everything way cheaper even after 10 percent, and the full NHL arcade game that is priced at 9.99 if you were to buy it separate on the ps store.. All in all, to me, this was a great deal for me as just the extra game covers half of the extra price of the upgrade. The steelbook looks very nice, and the DLC is very useful, great buy!

I have never owned a hockey game, but the playoffs got me more interested in hockey. I couldn't wait for NHL 14 to come out, so I bought the 13 edition. I have not been disappointed with it. Really enjoy the creation part and putting your own player through what an NHL player goes through. Very exciting game.

Want NHL 13 (Stanley Cup Collector's Edition) Discount?

Or check the size of the "steelbook" casing? My copy wont even fit in my DVD shelf, that is made for individual discs. The casing for the Stanley Cup Edition is atrocious and cheap. It is oversized and plastic with an aluminum feeling wrapping that makes the case too large to store with other DVD's (which are already larger than PS3 and BluRay dics).

In addition, the game play is not all that changed from the 2002 version of the game. Some controls are changed, but there are too many controls and the convoluted button layout must have been rushed together or never tested...or both...because they are terrible.

Moreover, the game glitches constantly, the AI is terrible and in HUT (hockey ultimate team) EA doesn't even apologize for ripping you off. They charge you (real or in game money...which takes ages to accumulate) for digital hockey cards that can be used in your team, however, more often than not the packs are never loaded to your account and they just take your money. I have talked to EA about this and got "help" but after months still no packs or refunds.

In addition, the in game money (pucks) do not always load either, so they basically force you to pay real money for no real product.

Stay away from EA and all their titles.

Unfortunately, if you are a Hockey fan EA is the only choice for you. Hopefully there will be some competition once EA is sued for monopoly style business practices (in which EA buys out the rights to the leagues, logos and players and no one else can use) and other companies can create competitive practices and choices for the gamers. These business practices by EA are illegal and have the end result of belittling the consumer.

Again, avoid ALL EA titles if you can help it, they do not care about you, just your money.

In all fairness, I really wanted to like this game. I gave it a fair shot and rented it out. After completing it, I've decided that Kane & Lynch had a lot of potential that got turned into a 16-level rehash of Michael Mann's bank robbery scene from the movie Heat.

The game description tells us:

"This is a violent and chaotic journey of two men a flawed mercenary and a medicated psychopath. Each hates the other but must work together to save themselves. Play Kane in single-player mode and either character in two-player co-op mode."

The reality is: Yes, two men who hate each other are teamed up but they should direct their hate towards the game control system. We can only change two buttons in the options screen, so if you don't like the layout of the controls, you've got to suck it up.

Passing a weapon to another character is not fluid holding the R3 button and using the D-Pad to choose a weapon is simply not possible in a heated firefight.

In single-player mode, Kane shows up to the left of the screen, not centered, as one would expect. If you play as Lynch (which can only be done in co-op mode), he's on the right side of the screen.

It's usually standard for games to offer playability as either of the protagonists, but that wasn't done here.

The game description tells us:

"Violence Erupts in Meticulously Created Safe Worlds: Realistic and responsive environments and crowds react when events get of out control. Manipulate the environments and crowds strategically to complete objectives."

The reality is: Yes, if you fire a bullet in a crowded dance hall, the characters start screaming like an 8-year-old girl who saw Michael Jackson in 1983. However, the crowd movement is totally inaccurate. Everyone is able to make it outside but mysteriously, no patrons are trampled to death, as one would expect.

I don't know what it means to use the crowds to complete objectives, as the crowds in this game act like medicated sheep that don't react to much other than gunfire.

The game description tells us:

"Wide Variety of Intense 3rd Person Game Play: Rappel from buildings, firing on the run or from moving vehicles, launch surprise attacks, lay down cover fire, and shoot blind from around corners, hurl smoke, tear, and incendiary grenades."

The reality is: You can do all these things, and the variety of weapons is impressive. However, Lynch usually starts every level with the shotgun as his primary weapon. In a game where most of your adversaries are firing from afar with rifles, Lynch's shotgun is virtually useless. Sure, you can change the weapon out with a better one, but why is the crappy weapon always the default?

Also, the camera angles in single-player mode are agonizing. Since the camera has Kane left of center, if you're behind an object and try to do a close-up aim on Kane's enemies, you'll get a screen full of Kane's bald spot instead. It doesn't help that the targeting reticule is the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

The game description tells us:

"Fast and Intuitive Combat: Lead a crew of criminal mercenaries to increase your chance of survival. You can also fight alone, you will automatically draw fire, throw grenades, lay down cover, and engage in close combat with their own signature moves."

The reality is: The description doesn't mention that the criminal mercenaries have no survival instincts whatsoever. If you don't keep them on a tight leash, they'll walk right into a heated firefight and try to stop their enemies with a devious trick: jumping in front of the bullets they shoot.

You will typically do most of the work yourself, while the mercenaries pick off the leftovers. As far as signature moves, once you've seen Kane break someone's neck for the 79th time, it gets boring.

The game description tells us:

"Two-player Co-operative Game Play: Team up and play the full story with a friend as either Kane or Lynch. At any point in the game you can choose to play the next, or previous, levels in co-op. Innovative Multi-player Levels: Up to 8 players."

The reality is: I don't see what they mean by playing the full story in co-op mode the only real difference between single player and co-op mode is seeing some events from Lynch's perspective, which we can already deduce from Kane's reactions in single player mode.

Playing previous levels or present levels is a standard feature, so there's nothing innovative here.

I haven't come across 8 players who want to tackle Kane & Lynch, let alone 8 people who want to play it at the same time.

Kane & Lynch is entertaining for a little bit, but the gameplay degenerates quickly into a repeating loop of showing a major gunfight then another then another and then another. Excessive gunfights and generous heapings of cursing can't save this game. I wouldn't recommend Kane & Lynch for anything other than a rental.

I was really excited when I first heard about this game. It was made by the guys over at IOI (Hitman series), and they have never let me down . . . until now. The trailers and hype make it seem like this is a high-budget game, but the actual gameplay comes out incredibly short:

The sounds and environment are bland, so there is really no sense of urgency or intensity. The cutscenes are choppy and lackluster and they don't add to the "action-movie" style that this game could have achieved.

The graphics are incredibly poor for a game of its time. I shot a window, and it cracked. The next time I shot it, the entire window just disappeared. And this wasn't because of a glitch, the animation is just that underdeveloped. When I died, my teammates came up and their big blocky arms went through me when they adminsitered the adrenaline shot. This game really looks like an early PS2 game at best . . .

The gameplay is the most underdeveloed part of the game. Hit detection sucks, and even though it claims to have a cover-system, it also sucks. In fact, there is no cover button even. Walk up to a wall and jiggle the joystick around and hope that your character will eventually take cover. It really is annoying. Your character constantly pops in and out of cover whether you want him to or not.

Stay away from this game. I really wanted to like it, but I had to return it after about an hour and a half of play. With game prices as high as they are, you'd expect to have some half-decent quality delivered. Kane & Lynch fails. If you really have to play this game, rent it and you'll be happy you read this review.

This game had everything going for it: a quality developer, a quality storyline, and very capable next-gen systems to support it. However, laziness and greed on the developers' part totally ruined everything this game could have been.

First lets start with what is wrong. Yeah the game play is a little laggy, I personally hate the controls, and I thought the story play was totally unbelievable. One second your in a prison, then to a bank, then to amazon rain forest. Seriously?! The aiming is messy, and I found the zoom on most weapons to be sub-par. I also personally had trouble aiming while in cover, or getting into cover for the matter as well. But I do love this genre of game. So onward -

I played most of this game on the split screen co-op mode, on Aspirin setting. I found it a little hard in some parts.

But its not all bad, here is what I really liked about the game. First off, its violent, and the cursing is fine with me. But What I really liked which I found to be unique to this game was when you play on co-op Lynch and Kane sometimes have different missions to complete on story mode, they can't help each other, and if one dies the mission is over. I thought that was pretty unique and cool. I also like that the game has two endings, based on what Lynch picks. Sure, maybe the game was slightly a let down, OK fine I'll give you that. But at the same time, I still think it's a decent game.

Kane and Lynch is a co-op based third person shooter. The game's dark storyline and interesting characters and character development add personality to an otherwise lackluster shooter.

The game can be thought of as a combination between a third-person shooter and a squad game. Playing the game involves a lot of use of cover and blind shooting, similar to Gears of War. You can aim more carefully, which zooms your view in (there's no first-person mode, though). However, the controls are kind of awkward as a whole; moving into cover is haphazard, as you'll only "take cover" by standing next to an object that can provide cover, and there's no visible indicators or buttons to press to actively try and take cover. Shooting is equally questionable; despite their highly visible bullet trails, none of the guns really feel that solid, and none are particularly accurate. Even when you're zoomed in, shooting is pretty much a random exercise where you spray as many bullets as you can at a target and hope you hit them. The bullet spread is really unrealistic and almost all the bullets go completely off course.

In most cases, there are only two characters, the titular Kane (the first player) and Lynch (the second player, or AI-controlled in single-player mode), but in some missions you will receive extra subordinates. Your subordinates are controlled with a simple "Attack/Move/Follow Me" command setup similar to many squad-based action shooters. However, they never seem to do much, really; sure, they're each an extra gun firing at your enemies, but their contributions never seem particularly significant. If one of your allies is downed, you must go to them and administer adrenaline before they die; if you yourself are downed, an ally will try to get over to you and administer adrenaline to you. However, the latter seemed to be about a 50/50 chance of them actually reaching you in time, so it really just seemed easier to load a checkpoint.

Multiplayer only has one mode, but it's at least fairly imaginative all the players must try to escape from the (AI-controlled) police after a bank heist. It's not a simple matter of cooperating, as players can kill each other to take their victim's share of the money, but by doing so they become a juicier target themselves. The interaction between players and the combination of paranoia and necessary teamwork is at least a nice effort to separate the game from traditional deathmatches.

The graphics are okay, but not cutting edge. In cutscenes, they look okay, but once the game is actually going the motions and animations change from being reasonably natural to being awkward and jerky. The most annoying thing is the bullet trails mentioned earlier, which make the game feel silly and unrealistic and detract from the serious atmosphere that it's trying to promote. The sound is pretty good, but not noteworthy except for the voice acting, which is done well.

The best part of the game, hands down, is the characterization, the acting, and the plot. All of those are done well, and this game would make a great movie. Unfortunately, the gameplay and the graphics drag its actual value as a "game" down, and all-in-all it's not that fun to play.

Hello all, like my title says this came out at a bad time, most of you will be buying killzone 2 or halo wars or saving up for resident evil or recuperating from repetitve stress syndrome from street fighter when this little sure to be overlooked gem came out.

are the graphics good?-no

are the controls good?-no (but i got used to them couldnt figure out how to zoom at first)

is the story good?-not really (it is funny just convaluted and makes little sense)

is the game fun?-YES IT IS!!

I cant explain this game i put it in and played for a bit and i kept going cause i wanna see what happens next, after all it makes fun of some of my most loved games.I'll sum it up in one sentence, I got this shortly after getting killzone and i am playing this more than killzone. (thats not a jab at killzone, while killzone is fantastic on all fronts this game has just kept my interest, well that and im working alot of overtime and i want to invest all my attention on k2).

Summary: while this game is not great it is by no means bad it just came out at a bad time so i tell you all write the name down and pick it up later it is worth a play through.

P.S.please email d3 and ask them to really make a water pistol game!!!

The run and gun gameplay gets repetative, but the story is fun and never takes itself seriously. From the Shatner sounding Gandalf looking character to the video games that it parodies, this is an enjoyable game that makes many pop culture references. If you've never seen a Schwartzenegger movie, some of the jokes will fall flat, but what are the chances that you haven't? Worth a rental, but no replay value.

Premise

*You play Matt Hazzard, a video game star who's being cheated out of his own game. A hacker helps prevent him from being killed off in favor of a different main character.

The Good Things

*Graphics are not too bad. They aren't as detailed or intricate as other games, but they look slick. The sound quality seems good.

*Gameplay is a simple, straightforward third-person shooter.

*Controls are not too bad, but they are not the same as most other shooters, so there is a bit of a learning curve.

*Level design is not bad. They are very straightforward, but they have a lot of places to find cover and some destructible objects in the environment.

*The story is not bad. It is basically a parody of other video games and movies. It is quite witty at times, without being too over-the-top.

*The main character is fun to play; he's always talking about the gameplay while you're playing him, adding to the parodic comedy. He also gets to fight some interesting bosses. Not to mention, he reminds me a bit of Jason Statham...

*Cool music.

*Has trophies, some of which are ridiculously easy to get.

*Appropriate for teenagers and adults. Rated T for language, suggestive themes, and violence; none of it is very graphic at all.

The Bad Things

*No multiplayer games.

*Not for those looking for complexity or challenge. Enemy AIs are not terribly challenging and the levels are straightforward.

It's simple, straightforward, and brainless, so it's perfect as a shooting-game parody. It has quite a few funny moments throughout, but gameplay itself is a parody, as you fight against a ridiculous amount of bad guys and take on some ridiculous bosses. And the whole time, your character is making some funny comments. It's pretty fun in the end; it'll do until "Duke Nukem Forever" finally comes out...

This game is a bargain bin item and it plays like one: the graphics are OK, the gameplay is average, the story is so-so and the music score is typical. But the main character quips and comments humorously in spades, and the sound effects seem pretty good. Just don't expect anything much from this title beyond some genuinely average videogame entertainment. 3 stars

Want Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazzard Discount?

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard is a parody of the video game industry. Anyone having grown up with video games in the past 20 years will probably find something humorous in Eat Lead. Though developer `Vicious Cycle' is quite possibly making fun of its own heavily clichéd and flawed game.

The setting for Eat Lead is simple: Washed out video game actor, Matt Hazard is recruited by his employer for a comeback to recapture his former glory (and profits). Though once his adventure begins a series of events and a mysterious helper indicate that not all is at it seems. I'll leave out any major plot twists and spoilers. But suffice to say that anyone who has a shred of common sense will see the plot twist coming well in advance.

Graphically, Eat Lead is competent. The game won't win awards or wow anyone with its graphical prowess, however, that's not really the focus of the title.

Gameplay is accomplished via a 3rd person camera similar to Gears of War. Eat Lead even attempts to implement the same cover system featured in Gears though with mixed results. The cover and control system is really where Eat Lead shows its lack of refinement. Mainly the biggest problem lies in the cover system itself. Unlike in Gears, the cover system in Eat Lead is clunky. I found myself frequently fighting with the controls as much as with the enemy. Frequent and frustrating deaths abound because of the flawed cover system. Moving from cover to cover should be a refined experience in Eat Lead it is not. Matt Hazard frequently gets hung up on the environment or simply doesn't perform the action you're attempting to do.

There are other curious development choices too. For example enemies can use grenades though Matt Hazard cannot. Your only recourse to enemy grenades is to scramble to a different position. The game makes fun of itself for the lack of the feature... but frustratingly it's still not there, jokes or not. I get the humor aspect of it but ultimately the game suffers for it.

Another issue is the completely unbalanced difficulty. There are three selectable difficulties ranging from the Matt Hazard equivalent of Easy, Medium & Hard. I played through on the medium and pretty much flew through the game until certain choke points where the difficulty spikes. Boss battles are particularly difficult and cheaply frustrating.

Again, though the game is a parody it is squarely making fun of many of the mechanics it uses. At an early point in the game I realized that the basic premise of Eat Lead is to move from room to room, wiping out all the enemies along the way. That's basically all you get for the entire game. In that regard it differs very little from games like `Doom' where you're simply killing enemies, finding keys and moving on to the next level. Again, the game is making fun of a mechanic it employs and actually overuses.

The in game music is mainly comprised of heavy-metal tracks that serve the game well. A lot of the music is completely over the top and it's meant to be. It has a humorous effect on the game that fits well. The voiceovers are similarly cheesy, over the top voice actors. One particularly memorable wizard you must rescue in the game is the Dungeons & Dragons equivalent of William Shattner. It's hilarious.

I think that the people who will enjoy Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard are those that accept that the game is highly flawed and are playing more for the comedic value than those looking for a good game. I did laugh out loud at various points throughout the game and that is saying something. If only the developer had been able to iron out some of the control and balance issues this game could've really been something.

My first thought was, "how can I say no to a $19.99 PS3 title?" Got it and it's well worth the 20 bucks. It's mainly based around the events of Pearl Harbor during WWII and you can play as either the Americans defending or the Japanese attacking. I like that the game is mainly aerial sim but also allow you to use the guns on the carrier ships. Graphics are decent and it was pretty fun to play. $20 well spent if you ask me.

This is a great simulation game based during WWII in the pacific as noted by another review, you play the US Navy and the Japan Navy. The graphics of the game is quite good and is an improvement from Air Conflicts: Secret Wars PlayStation 3. If you've played "Legends of War: Patton" this might be a little similar due to the campaign having some similarities; for example, you can manage your pilots, change different weapons on planes and have camouflage on the planes. The length of the campaign seemed a little long, but I think it depends on which decisions you choose. All of the battles take place at historic moments in WWII from Iwo Jima, Pearl Harbor, ocean battles, etc. As for the multiplayer there is hardly anyone online right now, but hopefully since this was just released in US there will be more players and this will be a great game. Overall this is a great game and is a great game for less than $20.

This game could have been so good . The graphic are good the concept is great the only thing that it lacks are the controls. The planes are to hard to handle in simulation flight and the arcade mode takes you out of feeling like you are flying the plane. you should be able to customize the control just once can developer make a airplane game right?

I ordered this edition mostly because of the plane since it looks really amazing and the graphic novel is also nice, as far as the game goes i was hooked from the first mission is just a really amazing game, the only thing that bothers me is the fact of being unable to jump unless I'm commanded to but besides that is great. My only problem is that both amazon and the box itself says that it comes with a Sam Fisher poster but it doesn't, this a realle awesome edition and worth the money but if they wanted to put the cherry on top would've been that poster.

I put hundreds of hours into Fifa 12. Several seasons, hundreds of games with my ultimate team, and dozens upon dozens of 1 v 1 local matches against my friend and sworn Fifa rival. Despite its shortcomings, Fifa 12 became one of my favorite games of all time. Fifa 13 does little to change the fundamental mechanics of Fifa 12, rather, small additions, tweaks, and improvements give Fifa 13 a glistening coat of polish and make it an even more realistic, accessible, and satisfying football/soccer experience than ever before.

I'll address the question of whether Fifa 13 merits the $60 price tag, particularly if you already own Fifa 12. There's no clear-cut answer to this question, a number of factors need to be considered: How much do you play Fifa? Do you closely follow current soccer, whether domestic or international? Do you play Ultimate Team? If you are a very casual Fifa player, jumping on every now and then for a quick game or two to get your fix, then there's no rush to buy Fifa 13, as the core game experience is very similar. But if you're more like me, and want the most up-to-date squad rosters, player ratings, Ultimate Team, and most realistic soccer experience available, then certainly the investment in Fifa 13 is justified.

Big new additions to Fifa 13 are as follows: For actual gameplay, the new "first touch" mechanic basically adds more variability to how well players trap the ball. Depending on the position of the player, whether or not they're moving, and their ball control rating, players may trap the ball in a less-than-perfect manner. Dribbling is a little smoother; it still takes a fair bit of practice before you'll be successfully rounding defenders left and right, but it's more accessible than in Fifa 12.

Fifa 13 exhibition matches have a cool new feature called Match Day, where EA updates player ratings on a week-to-week basis to reflect how well the player/team played that week. This feature can be turned off if you'd prefer to simply play with the players as Fifa/EA decided to rate them for this year.

Edited to add: I've had a chance to play a number of online ultimate team matches; online stability/lag appear to be pretty similar to Fifa 12. I have a decent connection, so most of my matches have been pretty smooth. Ultimate Team has received a make-over, with single matches no longer an option, but offline and online "seasons" added, in which there are 5 divisions, and each season you play a set number of games against players in your same division, with the potential of promotion or relegation depending on how many points you can get.

For the sake of keeping this review to a somewhat reasonable length, I'll end by saying that thus far I am extremely satisfied with Fifa 13, and I foresee myself putting hundreds more hours into it over the coming year.

Finally the ghosts of past FIFA's seem to have left with the latest FIFA game. This version makes defending more of an art rather than a complete mashing of the X button. Players get rewarded for positioning their defenders, anticipating passes, and zoning out properly. Conversely offense is now much more rewarding, as it takes a couple good passes to get through a proper defense. This is made much easier by the new crossing types that EA has added to the game. Now you can get that perfect pass through the defense, and get rewarded with an awesome looking goal.

The physics of the game have also greatly improved. The game just feels REAL, which has made each match feel much more unique. The commentary seems to be a bit more dynamic, and is a nice touch for players who like to play many matches in a row.

After playing this game for awhile I can easily say it's my favorite FIFA game, as it's not just a 'roster update', rather a game that makes your FIFA experience much more richer and in turn more enjoyable.

I should be writing a five star review on how incredible this game is with its many play modes, great attention to detail, etc. Unfortunately, my favorite mode in any sports game is the career mode and Fifa Soccer 13 for PS3 locks up more than the Texas prison system. I've had one manager career completely ruined because a lockup occurs after a specific cup match ever single time and the career games which haven't been ruined experience non-fatal but very annoying lockups several times a day. Not worth the price until EA fixes the bugs.
