I am writing this review for my 11 year old son. He loved the first skylanders game and collected all the guys. He saved his money and bought the new game and reached the end in less than 24 hours. He felt cheated. He said you don't even need all the new giants and figures to play the game. The one it come with is all you really need. He was disappointed because there are only 16 levels and they are to easy to beat. He thought this game should have been about half the price he paid for it, because you only got about half a game.

Okay, needless to say, the game is great! It'll keep you and the kids entertained for hours.

However, if you plan on collecting all the characters like I did for The first Skylanders game; you'll be disapointed if you buy the Portal Owners pack. First off you only get the disk and one Giant (Tree-Rex) character (boo, hiss, boo!) If you spend an extra $15 bucks and get the starter pack you get the disk, and one Giant (Tree-Rex) and two regular sized characters (Jet Vac & Cynder) *$11.99 each sold separately plus an extra portal of power.

Lets see (for you collectors) the extra two characters you get with the Starter pack run about $12 bucks each separately. Pay an extra $15 bucks on the starter pack, save yourself approximately $9 and the hassle of collecting these two separately. Plus you'll have an extra portal of power in case yours craps out on you. The Starter Pack is the better deal!

Once again, the previous owners of a great game, get screwed over again. More money for less stuff??? Because that's how it works in the long run.

Lots of fun for kids under 10. I wish it took longer to clear the game. Kids cleared it in a matter of days!!

Only because we didn't receive all the characters, other than that great product. My son will love this for Christmas, now if I can find Giant Spyro....
