I lived in England from 1978 to 1982 and fell in love with Snooker while I was there. For a casual fan, this game is fantastic. You start out as rookie, play qualifying matches, enter tournaments, manage your career and create as many players as you like. The in game commentary is funny but a bit repetitive but I didn't mind it where a lot of afficianados turned it off. I liked it because I miss the quirky British humor that often was displayed by the announcers on BBC TV. The game mechanics are perfect, it's most of the fluff that isn't quite commensurate with the gameplay itself. If you want the fluff, forget it, don't buy it. If you love to play snooker, by all means buy this game!
