This was my second order that I have placed with Endless Electronics. Both items were delivered quickly. I think this item (APS-226 power supply) is the key to maintaining cooler temps inside your Playstation 3 (PS3). I have the first generation 60GB PS3. With the outer panel removed (the one held by 1 screw), you can touch your power supply with a finger near where that screw goes. The original power supply in those model PS3 are considerably hot to the touch, like burn your finger hot after about 2 seconds. My new power supply, APS-226, is just warm to the touch after even 2 hours of use. This will definitely lower the internal PS3 temperatures a great deal and held prevent getting that yellow light of death (overheating). If I can obtain a infrared thermometer soon, I will update with actual quantifying numbers. To the touch, there is a considerable difference in temperatures though. It's also more energy efficient. While helping lower your PS3's internal temperatures, you're going green, and even saving some change off your electric bill.

I installed this on my own as my original one died on me. So far it's working like a champ but I did notice that the fan sounds louder than previously. As long as it lasts before the PS4 comes out I'm good with this product.

I got the power supply and found it to be a used item. That didn't matter to me. Refurbished items are as good as new to me...if they work. I installed the item and...nothing. PS3 still dead. For a power supply, it makes a great paper weight.

I've got the old 60GB "Fat" PS3. This power supply saved it from being scrapped. I was a bit skeptical about it running cooler than the old power supply, but the new power supply really is a LOT cooler than the old one. It's not very difficult to replace either. Just watch a few youtube tutorials and be careful with the wires. They're very delicate.
