I've read reviews about this game being an exact copy of the storyline from the first gamenot true.
this game is very under rated because everyone compares it to the first game.
here are some of the major changes I've noticed so far:
-the jump button switched out for dodge button with is useful because you can dash and dodge attacks
-no meridian chart like in the first one. instead they use a scroll system where you select scrolls to enhance certain stats.
-subtitled Japanese language only. no English dub.
-smaller area map
-fighting is a little faster.
-no pause sequence after every super move announcing it's name "hundred cracked fist"
the game isn't that bad if you like a dynasty warriors type of beat em up game. yes, it gets repetitive but i'm playing it because of the story mode.
the story mode is slightly different from the first one. in the first game, they focused more on meeting the main villains and fighting them and didn't really follow along with the story of the 80's cartoon series.
i'm watching the tv series on hulu plus when i got the game on the psn network. I noticed that the second game follows along more with the tv series right down to the goon henchmen that ken fights.
if you like the series, play the second game too. if you're new to the series, i wouldn't waste money on it because it does play a lot like the first one with a little added fighting speed.
as for me, i would recommend this game because i'm a fan of the series.Never arrived, but seller refunded money quick for no-delivery. I am a big fan of Fist of The North Star since I was a kid. I am in my late 30's now, and I loved the first one and have high expectations for part 2.
