When I decided to buy this collector's edition, I wasn't sure if the game would work on my North-American Vita. I knew the PS3 was region free for games, but I wasn't so sure if the Vita is. So there were chances that I would have wasted my money for almost nothing. By that, meaning that I would get only the art book and the sound-track. Expensive for a book and a cd if you ask me. But gladly, I was wrong. Not only does the game works, but it's probably the same version of the game that is sold world wide. It had no differences what so ever then the north-american release. The game will adjust on your system's language anyway. So unless you set your Vita in japanese, you won't get lost in japanese menus. Then lets talk about the bonus content. To be able to download the DLC, you'll need a japanese PSN account and that is not fun (because I can't read japanese). Once you get it, you'll be able to download all your bonus content. This will add new swimsuits, some cheerleader outfits and the gravure movies which seems to be rippoff from Dead Or Alive eXtreme 2. All that stuff aren't bound by languages, which mean I see anything in my own language. Even the trophies. The only sad part is that I can't seem to be able to add funds to my japanese PSN wallet. So, beside the free content, I couldn't get anything more. But maybe I can find an other way to do that. About the art books, it's really a new one, it's smaller then the other collector's art book and have different pictures. All the ladies has two pictures and are featured in two different costumes. Half of the are the new swimsuits. It features fight hints in the end, but it's all in japanese. I haven't tried the soundtrack yet, but I wouldn't be surprise if it was different from the other since it says "volume 2", but all track names are in japanese. So, my final comment is, if you already own the game on Vita you shouldn't get this unless you wants the gravure movies and art books, because I'm sure all the collector's DLC costumes will be sold on the PSN someday. If not, you can get that version and you will get some of the bonus. Changing your Ps Vita's account is tedious and you won't be able to use your content outside of the Japanese PSN. So, you'll get the book and sound track, it is expensive, I know. But you'll get more then the "nothing" that came with my north-american copy. Does it worth the double price ? No, but as a collector myself, I enjoy it. About the game itself, I will say that it is the best fighting game on PS Vita without a doubt. I never liked Soul Calibur and totally hate Tekken Tage Tournament with their flawed controls (on 360 at least). It's an high quality port of the home console version. It's quite impressive to see it run. I love the controls better on Vita then on 360. I'd say the game looks better then DOA 1, 2, 3 and dimension. Almost pretty then DOA 4 and most of the home console details are in the port. I recommand that game ! But get the NA version.
