Performs just like the standard black dualshock 3 that comes with the Playstation 3 yet with a stylish see through casing. I've had zero problems with the controller since I've owned it. It has great battery life and a slightly textured surface and d-pad compared to the black dualshock 3. I recommend this product to someone who needs a second controller or to someone that wants/needs a new one that will stand out compared to the standard dualshock 3. Also this was a Wal-Mart exclusive controller for the 2012 holiday (even though I've never seen one at my local Wal-Mart) so grab one while you can if you want one. I provided a customer image if you wish to see what the controller looks like in person.

Plugged it in to let it charge for first use and when i pushed the center button to see how it was going (after like an hour of charging)

it just had a dash mark, it immediately shut off after unplugging it. Also when i tried playing Call of Duty it would shut off even though it was plugged in. I could move around just fine it was only when i pushed R1. But it worked for a couple other games.

I'm just more confused than i am upset

I should have taken the advice left from the other customer. When i removed the controller from the packaging there was a noticable noise from something loose from inside. Not sure if Amazon received a defective parcel but luckily since i was in an urgent need for a new controller for a party I was hosting I ran to a friend and had him fix it for me.

So the controller arrived on time. I was very excited to receive the controller just to get and it to be defected.... The L2 & R2 buttons where defected... They did refund me the money and where very quick to response to my emails. VERY FAST SERVICE.
