I purchased this because I wanted to save a little money. When I received it in the mail it was in a generic box so I was a little skeptical about it. When I went to install it to my playstation 3 the base did not want to stay connected to my console. What I figured out what was wrong was that the screw that is supposed to hold the stand and the console together had no thread. When I sent a picture to the vendor about it their reply was that is how it is supposed to be. It is too much of a hassle to return it.The PS3 slim is an amazing, slim, piece of machinery that can be displayed vertically on its side or horizontally on it's bottom. For many people horizontal storage is the way to go, however, if you are looking for an artistic addition to your home entertainment center, vertical storage is the way to go. Yet the system is not the most stable, standing on its side. A bump to the table or even putting in and removing game discs can make you wish you had kept the system horizontal...but no longer! This plastic and metal vertical base for the PS3 slim is exactly what the Doctor ordered! The grip is fantastic and being able to quickly swap discs without fear of toppling the system might make you shout alonz y as you dive into your favorite titles! GERONIMO!
