Like many other people that purchased this game, I was highly disappointed.

I will get the ratings over with first, then I will go further in depth with my thoughts on this game

Graphics: 1 out of 5

Story: 1 out of 5

Gameplay: 3 out of 5

The game is short. I have been recovering from surgery and can't move around too much, so taking my time with this game was the perfect opportunity to see what it was all about. Unfortunately, what I thought would keep me busy for at least a week or so only lasted for about a day and a half. I was left with the feeling, "That was it?!" The $50 price tag on this game is ridiculous for the short amount of gameplay. Although, I have to say the game developers were probably wanting to make this a game with "replay value." I only say that because as you go through the maps in the game, you can choose which roads you wish to take (which will bring you to different locations obviously). So, if you didn't visit the mall or the hospital in your first playthrough, you can start the game over and visit all the locations you had not visited previously. Some maps were more fun than others, but you will get that in most any game you play.

The main reason I purchased this game is because I love stories. I was psyched to learn more about Daryl and Merle's back story, about the crazy, unadulterated mischief they get into before running into Dale's group. But I was sorely let down.

(SPOILER ALERT*

Knowing exactly what happened to Daryl's father is kind of cool, but not cool enough to justify a $50 price tag on this game.

And knowing what happens to Daryl's father is about the deepest this "story" delves when it comes tothis game.

As another rater commented, at the beginning of this game, there seemed to be a hint of a story unraveling, but it quickly fell apart and the game just turned into repetitive zombie-killing, doing menial and highly boring tasks for survivors you find along the way and lots of driving. I would like to mention that no, you do not actually get to drive a car in the game (I would have given this game a higher rating if you were able to drive a car imagine all the zombie-smashing possibilities!) driving a car in this game just consists of watching your vehicle move across the map on the loading screen (which happens far too often).

*HUGE SPOILER ALERT*

The only other thing that excited me about this game is the fact that Daryl runs into Amy and Andrea's parents. But that excitement lasted for about a fifth of a second. I thought that maybe the story might get rolling at this point, but I was sadly mistaken. They only wanted me to go on a supply run for them.

And speaking of stories, this area of the story (running into Andrea's parents) doesn't fully line up with the show. You would think that after Andrea's father actually mentioned the names of his daughters to Daryl, that Daryl would have at some point mentioned to Andrea that he had run in to her parents in suburbia somewhere on his way to Dale's group. But I'm not pitting this against the game, because I know I'm being overly picky about that story loophole (like I said, I love stories, GOOD stories).

The graphics on this game are poor compared to other games being released. It is blocky, the animation is jerky at times, some textures are used too often, huge parts of some environments are left empty (and boring) and the zombies' hit boxes seem to disappear when there are a large amount of them grouped together. Truth be told though, I didn't expect much when it came to graphics when I heard it was an Activision game (as they're not well-known for being high quality players in the graphics department). So, all I can say about the graphics is, I kind of expected it.

Overall, the only thing I truly enjoy about this game and had fun with is the crossbow. Plus, I like the fact that Norman Reedus (Daryl) and Michael Rooker (Merle) actually did the voices for their characters in the game.

If you want a decent walking dead game, check out The Walking Dead by Telltale Games.

I think the graphics have been covered already, and it's not a real concern for me. First, let me state there are areas of this game that are difficult and frustrating. Not difficult in the sense that it takes some unique game playing skill or expertise, just that you have dozens of zombies on you and the 'kill' methods aren't the quickest or most precise. As another reviewer stated, this game has one true positive attribute, and that's the tie-in to the show. The game is hardly much fun, doesn't introduce any new gameplay mechanics, and isn't open to roaming. I loved the Walking Dead from Telltale, and I realize some didn't. It was engrossing and engaging and you felt the true desire to keep Clementine safe. This is more of a zombie kill game with no thrills or frills, but the zombie killing isn't much fun. I wish when one was coming toward me I could just jab my blade straight into the head or grab the rascal, shove him against the wall and jam it in the head. Basically, any halfway realistic proficient use of your weapons during a kill would be welcome. All the characters in the show would be dead by the first commercial break if they were so inept at killing the undead.

The stealth actions on this are ok, but you won't stealth your way around huge zombie hoards. My best recommendation is buy this game sub $20, I got it on a 'deal' for opening day, and believe me, I had enough research ahead of time to know not to buy at the $50 mark. I think there are diehard fans of the show that will rate this high, but I feel giving it more than 3 stars isn't realistic for the average gamer. Let me stress that an average gamer doesn't mean the COD fanboys, just people who enjoy fun games, unique games, and ones that you can't wait to start after work or school. The Walking Dead could truly be a great game if done better, with more diversity/roaming, better game mechanics and actions, and I'd actually love some true scares, not just a zombie that happens to be around the corner. I think this game is more about seeing 20 zombies between you and the getaway car, over and over and over...

We all know most of these things but this review is just to cover basics and give you an idea of what you are in for when you rent/purchase this game.

Graphics: 2/5

Simply they are not up to PS3/360 standards, however they are not horrible.

Gameplay: 3/5

The game gets very repetitive you are breaking down in you vehicle at the same 2-3 spots all the time or looking for supplies in the same 2 places through the entire game.

Story: 1.5/5

The story.... well it almost does not exist. There starts being a hint of one developing in the first 10 mins of the game and then it is gone. It is re-mentioned once here and there but not often enough.

Action: 5/5

The action brings this game back, lots of zombies to kill and some good "scares" in the game as well :).

OVER ALL RATING: 3/5

Meaning buy it in a month or so when it is less then 50 dollars ;).

Of course we all love the Walking Dead.

But this game was way to short, poor graphics and not as expansive as we all had hoped out of this game. I wouldn't spend more than $20 purchasing this used.

If you're a hardcore fan of the show, you might get a couple hours of satisfaction running around stabbing walkers in the face as Daryl Dixon, but anyone who has any idea what to expect out of a modern game will be disappointed. Graphics are just plain bad, and the gameplay is horribly repetitive. There were a couple good ideas here, but none of them were executed well at all. Decent sound design and voice-acting by the actors from the show are pretty much the only strong points of this game.

Having read some negative comments about the Sony PS3 remote, particularly regarding the "stop" button, I decided to try another type of remote for my PS3, and save some money in the process. This one just came in the mail today, and I tried it out with a couple of Blu-Rays. Yes, it does work. You just put 2 AAA batteries in it, plug the little USB do-hickey into the front of the PS3, and it's working, just like that.

Now, about the "stop" button. It acts exactly the same as the "play/pause" button. Push it once, the picture pauses, push it again, it starts playing again. Weird, but not that big of a deal. Also, when the PS3 pops up the question, "Are you sure you want to stop playback of the Blu-ray?", and you push the "enter" button for "yes", instead of actually stopping like you told it to, it goes back to playing the movie. ?!? Again, weird, but not a deal-breaker. In fact, based on my five minutes of using this thing, apparently, there is no way to completely "stop" the movie? You just have to go up to the PS3 and push the "eject" button I suppose? LOL Again, very weird, but I still much prefer this over using the PS3 game controller for watching Blu-Rays or DVD's. You get used to it pretty fast. Not perfect, but much better than trying to remember what the "square button" does, and the "triangle button", etc., on the PS3 game controller. Based upon five minutes of use, I'd recommend it. If it turns into a brick within the next few weeks, I'll let you know.

I would not recommend this remote, they say you get what you pay for and in this case it applies. It arrived broken, but on the bright side I returned it for a refund Amazon always makes it right even when the product isn't.

I'm trying to learn Japanese at the moment, but I wanted to be able to still play the game. The Chinese version is exactly what you want, you'll get the Japanese voice cast, along with English, or Chinese subtitles with English menus. Considering how hard it was to find a copy, this was a good buy, plus I got the game within 2 weeks! Overall, I fully recommend this for Japanese learners who still want to play their favorite games.

This Japanese voice-over version is hard to find.

I personally think that Eng dubbed FF feels like Harry Potter, Narnia, or some

silly corny Hollywood kiddy fantasy movies. So I had to return it and bought

this version. Despite it being a rare copy, the seller priced the item within

fair market value and not only that, I received my copy in a perfect mint

condition in just 2 days.

The seller has 2 day UPS air option and provides tracking number.

This is the fastest shipping ever of all of the items I ordered on Amazon

so far. Very satisfied with the shipping and the content.

I dont' want to spend too much time writing about this product. The other two guys pretty much sums it up. I just want to say how impressed I am with the game after playing the first one. Usually when it comes to movies or games, the original is usually the best. Well in this case.. XIII-2 blows it away. The first game was great and this game is just Stellar! I am only 2 hours into the game, but the story has me in awe. I could of spent less than 60 and pick up the US version with all the bells and whistle collectors edition, but I wanted to play the game with Japanese voice actors and english dub. To me... that is the best experience. GET THIS GAME!

-For purists and those that hate dubbed English voiceovers this is the version to get. This has both Traditional Chinese and English subtitles with the original Japanese voiceovers. The only thing that is different besides the language is the names of items and characters other than that it is basically the same as the English version.

-The game is an improvement over the original in terms of the changes made to the gameplay with the best part about this game in my opinion is the overall vast exploration that can be done and finding hidden secrets in all the multitude of sidequests that the game has to offer. I have always been the type to work hard to find all that the game has to offer and FFXIII-2 has many of those types of scenarios. Monster collection, which I originally thought was a terrible addition to fill in the spot of a third character, is in fact a lot fun and very addicting. Almost every monster you fight, you have a chance of collecting them in a crystal, having them join your party. Each one has a specific role and their own unique feral attacks. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to the game. If your a fan of the series I highly recommend picking this game up, until the sequel to this game gets released.

**DLC costumes for Serah and Noel come with the game and can be downloaded for free with the available code that comes with the game.**

This is a nice ps3 controller. I bought it because my Sony quit working. It comes with a USB connector, that is how it connects to the ps3 to be able to use it. The construction of the control is nice, it seems to be pretty sturdy. You can't turn the ps3 on using the controller, which is not big deal, but would be nice. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for another controller, but doesn't want to spend $60 on a Sony.

I haven't been able to test this HMDI cable in a quantifiable way yet, but the cable seems be good quality. I do know that cheap cables cannot provide the same bandwidth as more expensive cables. Buying a $400 Blu-ray player and connecting it with a $10 HDMI cable is a total waste of money for the Blu-Ray player. I was trying to find a cable that was reasonably priced but could provide the necessary bandwidth for a Blu-ray player. This cable appears to be able to provide the necessary bandwidth.

Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest was developed by the same studio that developed Sports Champions, which to this date was one of the best Playstation Move game developed. Question is, can they continue their success with this game? I'm happy to say the answer is yes.

To play the game, you can choose to use one or two Move controllers--I definitely recommend two for the most natural gameplay (for example, as with Sports Champions, with two controllers you can hold a shield in one hand and a sword in the other; with one you're constantly switching between the two). You can also choose whether you're right-handed or left-handed. For purposes of this review, I'll be speaking from a right-handed point of view, but just reverse everything if you're left-handed.

The first thing the game does is take you through a little training session so you can get used to all the tools at your disposal in the game. In a nutshell, here they are:

Sword: You swing the sword with your right hand. As with Sports Champions, the controls are one-to-one, and by far the best, smoothest, and most precise on any platform.

Shield: You hold your shield in your left hand and press the Move button to activate it. You can use it to block attacks or to deflect objects that are thrown at you.

Ninja Stars: You can throw Ninja stars with either hand by holding the controller horizontally and flicking your wrist while pressing and releasing the "T" button. It's essentially the same motion as throwing a Frisbee in Disc Golf on Sports Champions.

Bow and Arrow: The bow and arrow are also similar to Sports Champions. You hold the "bow" with your left hand, make a motion to take the arrow out of your quiver with your right hand, and draw back and shoot by aiming with both hands, pressing the trigger button with your trigger finger of your right hand while aiming, and releasing the button to shoot the arrow. It takes some getting used to the motion, but once you get it to work it's very natural.

As the game progresses, you'll pick up other gadgets and tools, including:

Grappling Hook: There will be certain times in the game where you need to scale walls or use grappling hooks to swing your way from place to place. Hooks will be marked on the walls. When you see one, you point your right-hand Move controller down, hold the trigger button, and point the controller forward towards the hook, and release the button.

Milk Bottle: As you withstand attacks from enemies, your health will go down. You need to collect and drink milk to replenish your health. To do so, hold your right Move controller over your moth like it's a bottle of milk, press the Move button, and make a "drinking a bottle of milk" motion.

Dynamite: Later in the game you'll be able to use your Move controller as a stick of dynamite; you'll be able to carry three at a time. To "light the fuse" you cup your hand over the light ball. Then you throw it. It is an absolute blast (no pun intended).

Throughout the game you'll see objects to collect like more Milk and Coins which you shoot or strike with your sword. As the game progresses, there will be certain times when you need to use the controllers to do other things, such as pull down a drawbridge, turn a lever, or pick a lock.

As with other games of this type, you'll reach milestones called "bookmarks". If you lose your life, you go back to the last saved bookmark within each chapter.

The one thing that some people may find constraining is that you don't control your character's movements as you do in other FPS games; in that sense the game itself is more like a rail shooter than an open world game. In other words, your character will run automatically through the world and will automatically turn to face whatever "action" is going on at the time. The reason they chose to do this is obvious: with two hands controlling the weapons, you would need a third one to hold a Navigation controller. Where this becomes most frustrating is when there are objects in the room you need to collect; the game will pause for a few seconds and you need to frantically try to shoot whatever you can before it automatically moves you on. But overall, I think they made a good decision: the game was plenty fun and busy enough just handling all the weapons you have at your disposal.

Now that I've finished the game, I do have a little gripe about the boss battles. Here, the motion controls got a bit gimmicky and tedious. At some point it felt less like a realistic simulation and more like the game developers were thinking, "hey, we have cool motion controls--how can we stuff them in over and over and over again". As such, they made the boss battles very, very repetitive, with a ton of emphasis on archery. Yes, the archery mechanics are pretty cool, but not when you have to repeat them a hundred times for no particular reason. Worst of all, there will be times when you think you're doing the motion correctly, but because of the nit-picky game mechanics the game will say you've failed and penalize you accordingly. In some cases you may die a thousand deaths before you finally can get past these levels.

I don't mind clever use of their innovative controls nor tough boss battles, but these felt terribly contrived. It was as if you were contending with both the motion controls and the game. A little moderation and perhaps something a little more clever than just archery practice would have made the game more enjoyable (that said, there is some interactivity to finish off the big boss at the end of the game which is pretty cool).

Overall, the best way to summarize Medieval Moves is that it feels very much like an extension of Sports Champions. It takes many of the same mechanics and tools and applies them to an adventure story. I tested the 3D on the new Playstation 3D Display, and it really enhances the game play tremendously.

As for the story itself, my best advice would be to come with the right expectations. Don't expect anything like Resistance or Uncharted. The storyline and cut scenes is definitely more geared for kids and families. It's a fun but not-too-deep story about how a young prince is attacked by an evil creature, which disfigures him into a skeleton and turns all the subjects of his kingdom into evil skeletons. The game is the prince's quest to "free" the subjects (by doing away with the skeletons), find the villain and restore his kingdom. You don't really get too much of a chance to get too emotionally attached to the hero nor to his friends. Also, when I reached the ending I found that it was very anticlimactic--for all the work I'd put into the game, I would have preferred a much more satisfying end.

Aside from the story mode, there are two mini-games; one where you fend off waves and waves of attackers, and one where you stand in a sniper's position and have to defend a royal statue from being destroyed. These are fun, and allow for multiplayer play, both using the same system and online (when sharing the same system, each player will see the action on a split-screen, and can choose either one or two Move controllers, depending on how many you have).

There's a tremendous amount of customization in both the story mode and the mini-games--you can adjust everything from the difficulty level (squire / knight / champion) to the language used (both spoken and in optional subtitles) to the vibration, handedness, and number of controllers. Oddly, in my version the voice-over narration didn't work at all so I had to rely on subtitles. Hopefully they'll fix this in a future patch.

Overall, the novelty of being able to wield various weapons and gadgets in a realistic way makes this one a game a positive step forward for Move games. While the storyline and premise may be a little rudimentary for some, what more than makes up for it is that you're actually wielding a sword and shield and throwing ninja stars by just making natural motions. This ultimately provides an experience that goes way beyond old-fashioned button mashing, and one area where the Move definitely outshines the Kinect (in general, I find the Kinect stronger for "full motion body detection" games like dancing games, while the Move is definitely more powerful for any game which requires you to hold and manipulate an object like a sword or a bat).

As they did with Sports Champions, I think Sony is sending a message here to game developers--start developing games that don't treat motion controls as a mere gimmick and stop just trying to ape the Wii or the Kinect. Instead, develop games which really enhances game play and really takes full advantage of the strengths of the Move platform. Medieval Moves does this with great success.

My kids absolutely love this game. My 12 year old son was playing it, and I wanted to kick him off the PS3 to play Uncharted 3. He loves Uncharted 1 and 2. He told me "This is more fun than Uncharted." I was floored. So I had to wait for my turn and see what this game was about. It was a lot of fun to play and family friendly. How can you go wrong with sword fighting, bow and arrow, and skeletons?

This game really shows the potential of the move controls. All of the actions work perfectly the sword in your hand, the shield, your throwing stars, bow and arrow, grappling hook. I was really impressed by the move controls in this game. However, much like arcade shooting games like House of the Dead, the game does all the walking for you, and the pace you progress is established by the game itself; there's no diverting from the linear progression here. I just kept thinking how cool it would be if the game was more open ended and felt more like a role playing game along the lines of zelda. They could create a totally immersive experience. In the end though it feels like a shallow arcade game despite the awesome controls, because of how linear it is. I wish they would have used the navigation controller and made this game more open ended and given it more of a sandbox feel. They could've knocked it out of the park with this one.

As an older gamer this game didnt appeal to me that much. I am happy i got this used for cheap otherwise i would have been very upset after paying full price. I have yet to play through the whole game because my arm starts to hurt after a while of swinging the controller around. I enjoy playing Sports Champions which is why i got it. Even though the move motions are the same in this game, it just isnt as fun having to constantly flail around to use the different weapons. I found myself just using the sword a lot and only using the others if i absolutely have to. I am sure kids would have fun with this game but i just cant say the same for myself.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Well I think the real selling point for this cable is the convenience it provides. The swivel is perfect for those tight places and the connection to the lap top is super when you want to go big screen. The down side is the length which is limited but for the most part it is long enough. If going from the bed to the the screen it will probably work. A good addition to your wired high def world. I have to confess I'm addicted to Netflix, not just the new releases, but classic black and white films, monster movies, BBC period pieces and TV series I missed the first time around. I've been watching instant play movies on my laptop, but some films deserve a larger format.

The HDMI cable AmazonBasics High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet Flat (9.8 Feet / 3.0 Meters) effortlessly installed to my TV HDMI port and my laptop HDMI port. The ends have dual direction swivels, a nice flat, non-twisty cable, sturdy construction. Less than a minute to attach the cable, pull up the movie, and scroll through the onscreen menu on the TV switch to HDMI 2 as the source of the signal. Excellent picture and sound quality, comparable to HD cable programming. Once I was done watching the movie the cable was easily coiled and stored.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This cable came packed in a minimalist box (a good thing).

The cable is very substantial with heavy cable and protective coating. The connectors are industrial strength and will probably last forever. The length is generous, making possible a long run from control box to screen. The combined HDMI/Ethernet feature opens up capability for 3D TV, and other HDMI 1.4 functions.

With this version of cable maximum color depth doubles (over HDMI 1.2), provides an audio return channel and 4k x 2k Resolution Support.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I hope by the time you read this review, the text and photos will be corrected and I'll just look like a crazy person. But this is what I got in the mail: an approx. 10ft. HDMI 1.4 cable with standard male A style plugs on both ends. The photo shows articulating heads, which would have been great for the wall mounted TV... but it's straight and non-articulating which is fortunately passable for my mount. The product name describes it as "Flat", it's heavy braided and round. The detailed description says under one photo that it has A an style plug on one end and a B-micro on the other... this is not the case (nor does it look like that in the photos either or would I want it to be since I'd need an adapter for most TV/set-top box related usage).

So that leaves me in tricky review predicament. I may have gotten the wrong product and you might too, but if you do get the cable I did rest assured it's very well built, transmits a gorgeous clean signal and it supports all the latest HDMI goodness like 3D and internet data. Now that it's installed I don't think I'm going to change it... the old "if it's not broke don't fix it" mentality. Maybe this is just a case of getting what I needed rather than what I wanted. =)

Want AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet - Flat (9.8 Feet/3.0 Meters) Discount?

I don't know how the manufacturer made the bendable ends but they are crap. I bought these to make installation of my TV on a wall-mount cleaner and less stressful on the wires from bending due to tight spaces behind my TV. Even though the ends are bulky they were effective at alleviating the pressure on the cables from the wall when installed on the wall mount, but the cables failed after a sort period of time. This was extremely irritating because the cables were installed in cable routing conduits that hide the cables so they took some time to install. Contrary to what you might think these cables are bulkier than most round cables and took substantial time to get installed. When they failed and my picture started flickering and cutting out frequently I was not happy to discover that it was the cable. I know for certain it was the cable and only the cable because replacing the cable with a simple one immediately fixed my problems. I ordered three of these and two of them are in the trash.

I have owned the specialist ultimate gaming bundle for a little over a year and am quite pleased with the product itself. With the amount of use it has had plus the amount of traveling I've done with I feel I have put it through its paces. As such I've experienced some wear and tare issues with which Nox Audio had been excellent at resolving, until recently. The USB peripheral pulled free from its casing exposing four prongs one of which had completely snapped off when I was removing the peripheral from my PS3. I have been in contact with customer service for 6 weeks now and have gone through the typical back and forth that I've experience in the past. However I am now in the middle of week three with a blatant lack of response despite daily e-mails through both this website and my own personal account. I am truly disappointed with this outright disrespect towards their customers. I suggest finding a different company who will value their customers and honor their warranty. Although the product delivers on everything it promises, it has a shoddy design and will eventually break resulting in a need to go through customer service which at one point was very helpful and responsive, but now appears to be non-existent. So think twice, do your research and avoid the headache that I am suffering.

When I bought this product, I had a friend who had already purchased them and had mentioned them to me. So I decided to test them out, after having a pair of Beats headphones stolen from me last year, and all my mic's for my xbox broken. This seemed like the perfect medium, but I wasn't expecting anything beyond satisfactory. But beyond is what I received. These headphones are easily comparable to the high-end turtle beach headphones, and rest easily upon your ears. The ear cushions are incredibly soft, and although you would think that doesn't matter so much, you would be amazed at how much it truly does. Using these for musical purposes is also more ideal than I had believed it to be. The convenient carrying case that comes along, has a good hard casing, so you don't have to worry about it getting tossed or jumbled around, and it's still compact and easy to just carry along or throw into a backpack. The negotiator bundle, as well, is amazing. The Fiber-optic cable included in it for audio to the headphones, has such great quality. At any point, I can tell you where things are happening in whatever game I'm playing, without even needing to look. I get no feedback, echo, or anything else of the sorts through the mic, and the quality of the mic is excellent. I suggest this product 100%, they didn't let me down, and I know they won't let you down.

I have a Logitech Pro Wheel, an HDTV, the whole set up, and I am a HUGE NASCAR fan.

This is probably the most disappointing game I have ever played. It is a complete disaster. The only possible way that anyone can enjoy this game is if they have never played another racing game in their life.

It constantly freezes. It has frozen three times for me today while trying to play online. I hit join game, and the PS3 freezes. It is infuriating.

The graphics are abysmal. Compare this game to GT5 prologue; it is an absolute joke. You cannot see things until they are right up on you, the resolution is awful; this looks like a PS2 game, IF THAT.

Jeff Gordon is constantly talking to you, it gets incredibly annoying.

Load times are incredibly long; go to the bathroom while the next screen is loading, come back and wait some more.

The setups are completely impossible to figure out; if you want racing but do not want to spend 40 hours trying to figure out the best setup for each track, forget about competing online.

But when you do finally get your car handling correctly and take it online, for one, there will always be someone with a car much better than yours (and you will never be able to figure out how to catch him), and two, there is always the sound of a pre-school class full of kids in the background with a microphone, wrecking everyone in the back. The competition is just awful, the other players are a joke. I think the reason for this is that serious simulation racers laugh at EA NASCAR games and go straight to NR2003 or something. Do not expect any good competition; towards the front, it is nothing but a battle of setups from what I have seen anyways, not much real racing going on.

Do not buy this game. You may feel the need to buy the only NASCAR game available, but this is not worth your time. It is a monopoly at its worst, an absolute utter waste of $ and an insult to us as humans that this is our only option. Shame on NASCAR for letting a terrible company like EA buy exclusive rights to making their game.

I want a good NASCAR game on my PS3; I want it desperately, but it looks like I am never going to get it.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue gives you a better NASCAR racing experience. Racing Daytona on that game and compare it to Daytona on NASCAR 09; not even close, it is night and day.

Do not buy this game.

Well I was waiting for this years installment to come out to write a NASCAR review, but that's not going to happen any time soon. This game was a must buy for me because I buy it every year. NASCAR 08 was terrible in my opinion and I hoped that EA would change their way of thinking this year. By far this game exceeds the previous installment. The actual racing is nicely refined, giving veterans of the series a more challenging experience while still giving the rookie a chance. There is an opening race where you set up your skill level, actually the game provides its estimate of what you should pick, I chose the veteran driver setting, but if you're a rookie I advise you don't choose it. The game play is fast and furious. Even if you've found the perfect set up for a track and saved the next time around the track will change and you're back to square one just like in real life. I wish they had a tutorial for the setups to help me adjust my car better. I simply adjust air pressure, wedge, and the track bar the rest of the set up is a mystery to me. The career mode is lacking though. There is really no interaction with the team you chose. You can't communicate with team mates or even see who your teammates are. There are no driver changes; everyone is the same every year. There is no trophy room to see your hard earned possessions. The contracts are stupid; a team dropped me a three time champion because I didn't qualify in the top 20 one race. You also can't run more than one series at a time you have to choose which one to run at the beginning of the season. Also I liked in previous years where you could build up your garage and team, and even price your own merchandise. All that has been taken away, you can't even check your stats for the previous year. Come on EA what were you thinking in the career mode. Overall the only choice right now and the game play is smooth enough, but the lack of split-screen still pisses me off.

PresentationThe game has an interactive Jeff Gordon to talk to you as you progress through your career which is nice. The music is a mix of country and rock to accommodate both music groups. The ability to save and watch your replays is nice. 4.5/5

GraphicsIt's the same every year. They get a little better. There is nice dirt on your screen when you go through the grass. The damage element needs to be more elaborate, you can't really tear up your car that much. The normal cars look great, but your created cars are missing the nice polished look the other drivers have. The inside camera view is very well done. The stats you can out on while driving really help you adjust the car, though they hurt the realism of the game, I love the tire wear gauges. 4.3/5

Game playThe overall driving is a lot of fun. You actually feel like your driving a stock car. There are a few problems, like the super speedways. If you start 1st you will pull away and never look back, which doesn't happen in real life. The cars actually handle like real cars and don't always make the corner. You have to be precise in this game because like in real NASCAR if you mess up you're going to be in the wall. It has a simulator feel to it unlike any previous game in the franchise. 4.7/5

StoryThe career is bare bones and has a lot of problems that I have stated above. The racing really brings you back not the career itself. I've finished 6 seasons and I'm beginning my seventh. It's nice to have a career to keep you playing, but it should have been better developed. 3.5/5

Lasting AppealThis game has kept my interest for two years now as I await Gran Tourismo 5 which will have NASCAR as one of its series. There is a lack of career options, but it is fun to race and I love this game despite its flaws. 5/5

The VerdictIf you like NASCAR I recommend this game whole heartily. It will be a long time until someone makes a full forced NASCAR game again. GT5 will have the NASCAR series, but its not the focus of the game. This game was a huge leap over NASCAR 08. If you don't mind bad graphics I recommend either NASCAR Thunder 2004 or NASCAR 06: Total Team Control, they have the whole package for their time. NASCAR 09 was a nice effort, lets just hope its not the last. Overall 4.4/5

If driving a real NASCAR is anything like the video game, then it should be noted that I would clearly leave it to the professionals. 42 Cars are doing nearly 200 mph bumper to bumper and the 43rd car is all over the place. Causing wreck. After wreck. After wreck.

This might be the case where the game is SO realistic that it takes a real NASCAR driver (with the right virtual set up and a steering wheel) to be competitive.

I'm not, and I'm more than just the casual fan.

As bad as I am and as hard as the game is, I still enjoy trying. I've reserved myself to knowing I can never finish ahead of last on anything more difficult that a Rookie setting.

If you have read any of my past reviews, I have been a vocal critic of EA's NASCAR titles and how unrealistic they have been. For the past few years, I rented them ONLY and found myself disappointed. I finally gave in again and bought NASCAR 09 for my PS3.

I must say I am impressed with some of the new features that I have seen. I love the inclusion of Jeff Gordon and the removal of Agent Ace Moneymaker...what an annoyance he was. The controls are better, the graphics look good and crisp and I love the ability to look around left, right, and behind using the analog stick.

So, here are my PROS:

1. Saw some new features, like the "lucky dog" during a race.

2. Love the new paintbooth and the ability to copy cars from your PC to PS3 from Photoshop, etc.

3. Importing your own driver photo.

4. 2 handling modes for varying skill drivers.

5. Inclusion of Jeff Gordon as your mentor.

6. Great new challenge mode.

7. Online play with up to 12 persons.

8. The new "reputation" meter.

and on the other hand, the CONS....

1. Glitchy online play (but understandable early on).

2. Freezes occasionally between menus.

3. Still has unrealistic accidents and lack of AI cars blowing engines, having wrecks, etc.

4. Limit of 12 cars in online play.

5. No prerace ceremonies, activities that add realism and flair to the game.

All in all though, I am happy with this game and think it's a very worthy purchase if you are a NASCAR or racing fan in general. Props, EA !! But don't stop now, keep those improvements coming for NASCAR 2010 !!

This is by far the worst racing game I ever played. Although the graphics are great, the gameplay is awful. I much rather play 08 on PS2. The biggest thing for me is no bump drafting. If you get behind another car and try to push them they lock the brakes and both of you go to the back.

There are lots of other problems as well. I couldn't help but feel like the developer has never even seen a nascar race. Forced myself to play 6 hours hoping it would get grow on me. Finally I gave up and haven't played it since. I've had it almost a month now.

These sticks feel cheap they feel much lighter, less dense than the sticks that come with the Rock Band complete set. The ones I have are red but there's no reviews permitted at the moment while it's out of stock. I believe these are 5A's and are not nylon tipped, and I don't know why I assumed they were (I really thought the pictures on the site here make them look as though they're nylon tipped). I used them for all of 10 seconds and I'm not a "pounder" on the drums and one of them just snapped in half along an area where there was a small knot and what appeared to be rotted wood (that grey/blue color).

The tips are larger than the original sticks' tips that came with my original complete kit. The sticks are not a sold red but are printed with a fire/flame pattern in grey on a red background. The original Ludwig sticks are much better. At this price I would simply go to a real music store and purchase a pair of drumsticks. That way you can also get nylon tipped sticks.

Overall cheaply made. Feels cheap. Distributed by Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. They're mass-market merchandise makers for lots of other companies. Buy your sticks elsewhere!

Well they worked for about 5 seconds and 1 broke right in half. I was just tapping the drums and it busted. Must have been a knot rigt there because it was a clean break.

Worked through all of 2 songs and shattered. I was playing Flyleaf I'm So Sick which is not a heavy drumming song and the stick snapped in two. It was the stick in my left hand which is my weak hand and I was not hitting hard at all because it was late at night and I was tiring to be quiet. The original sticks that came with the set are still working fine.

These sticks are much lighter and feel as if they are made from balsa wood. They feel cheep, and are. Save your money and don't buy these rip-offs.

Bottom line:

Cheap product tring to cash in on the Rock Band name.

After our dog decided that our Rock Band drumsticks were the latest chew toys, we had to get some replacements. I originally thought these were a bit overpriced for just game drumsticks (paid $ for them), but I was happy with the quality. I read some reviews that they were different (and poorer quality) than the original ones but those reviewers had the red ones. We got the black/white ones and I thought they felt as solid as the original ones (or better even!) and the dimensions were exactly the same (compared them side-by-side with a friend's original ones), so maybe the trick here is to get the black/white ones? Well, either way, we're very happy with the replacement ones and have used them heavily during our Rock Band sessions and they have lasted us well thus far. We also kept them well hidden from our dog now, so we haven't had to replace them since!

I consider myself a pretty decent FIFA 09 player and immediately bought FIFA 10 when it came out, hoping that improvements made to a top-notch game would make the new game flat out amazing. After playing a few games against my real life friends and online strangers, I am not sure if I like "10" or "9" better. My biggest disappointment in the new game is that IMO, the graphics did not improve at all or maybe even gotten worse. Maybe I am imagining it but the width of the goal looks smaller. Of course, this shouldn't affect gameplay at all but it just feels like I am looking at a smaller target. The improvements in the gameplay is subtle but nevertheless clearly different with defenders having a chance against the supermen (eg. Ronaldo) of the game, making the game more defense-oriented and somewhat harder to score. Some of the differences I noticed so far:

1. Throughball doesn't work automatically unless there is a developing play where a throughball is the best play. In `09', you could just randomly throughball and somehow the offensive player would end up with the ball with a near breakaway too often.

2. Defenders are positioned much better so defense is easier to play. Also, because stars like Ronaldo can't just run away from the pack when they have the ball, defenders will have a better chance as long as they are in a good position. But the improvement in defensive positioning also resulted in heavy traffic near the goal where the play seemed a little bit clustered. At times, the phrase pinball action came to mind when it became clustered like that.

3. The view when the GK has a goal kick or instances where you have a corner, the view has changed to a more zoomed view and less overhead perspective. I personally didn't like this change due to the change in depth perception, making it harder for me to judge the players' positioning.

4. The collision physics is much more realistic and players actually bounce off each other in more realistic fashion.

5. It is much easier to bend the ball, maybe too much. On several corner kicks, I had kicks bend too much that the ball was no where near the goal almost half way between the penalty box and the half line.

6. Overall, the offensive player is forced to put together a well constructed attack and rely on crisp passing and play development more than relying on the speed and power of players like Ronaldos and the Etos.

7. The online play is smoother and when playing ranked games, the skill points is calculated after each game and displayed for you to see, showing you how the points were calculate. This was a very nice feature for someone who plays online as much as I do.

One thing that didn't change:

My number one pet peeve for '09: The number of shots hitting the goal post per game is way too much. I was hoping that this would change, but so far, the occurrence of shots hitting the goal post is still way too frequent and unrealistic.

Overall, I would say '10 is more realistic but not necessarily more fun to this veteran of '09. I definitely think '10 is a great game but I will not be getting rid of my `09' right away because they play different enough for me to consider it two different games

UPDATE: 11/5/09

So after playing for a few more weeks, I will say that I am appreciating the subtle differences between '09 and '10. I really like the new collision mechanism. It is realistic enough so that I often thwarted the other players attack by just getting in the way of the opposing team's players who don't have the ball to deny their space when there is a pass directed toward them. I have also experienced the advantage of 360 degree control as I manuever my player with the ball. Definitely a solid improvement over '09.

UPDATE: 11/23/09

A huge negative has popped up for with this game. Goalie AI. Maybe it's not even AI. Glitch is more like it. The goalie in '10 is worse than in '09. I suppose goalies making errors should be expected since a real life goalie would make can make mistakes too. But goalies have a much harder time handling shots that are directed right at them if it's low. Goalies are allowing shots that are literally next to their legs. (The animation in replay suggests that the goalie, instead of stopping the shot by moving a little to the left or the right, instead tries to squat down and tries a mini dive save on a shot. That allows the shots to go under them.

What is infuriating is that given the number of great opportunities that end in a shot off the goal post if you try to aim for one of the corners of the goal, the way the goalie allows this cheap score, it's a huge imbalance. Goalies that leap like panthers to save shots 10 feet away or sure goals that somehow the computer directs right at the goal post yet the goalie can't save balls hit next to them. What's up with that?

UPDATE: 11/30/09

I don't know what I was thinking by not mentioning this. In FIFA '09, (and I call this just plain stupid on EA's part),they didn't include a practice mode. Sure, you could pratice your skill moves 1on1 with the goalie, but that too was not that helpful because no one would play an actual match in that perspective, thus making you learn the skill moves one way but then have to make adjustments to the stick work. In FIFA '10, there actuall is a practice mode and a pretty darned good one at that. You can set the practice match to have as many offensive and defensive players as you want. You want to practice breakaways? 1 offensive player vs. goalie only. 5 vs. 4, 5 vs. 3. Any combination you want to hone your offensive skills. Also, you can actually practice set-pieces (FK and corners) the way it would be in the game with real defenders. By practice in this mode, I can score on about a 1/3 of my FKs inside 30 yards because I know what kick with how much power to execute. (The other 2/3 of my FKs bounce off the goal post, LOL.) If you are serious about being a good FIFA player, this practice mode will let you maximize your chances.

This review is mostly aimed towards the PES crowd, because I myself was a PES fanboy. The Winning Eleven/Pro Evo series is probably my most played series of video games ever. When I was little, me and my friends were all huge fans of the Pro Evo series. I was a hardcore follower of the series and I always regard it as the most realistic soccer game series ever made. The FIFA series, on the other hand, was completely out of the radar. I did play some of the older FIFA games and it just reminds myself how great the PES series are. It is just beyond my imagination that any other soccer game would surpass the magnificent PES series as an overall package.

After being disappointed by the franchise's recent offerings, I decided to give FIFA 10 a shot. It was a desperate move that I had been considering for some time. I was just looking for something to recover from the terrible disaster that is PES 2008. Thanks to PSN, I was able to get an impression of the game before I dig into my pockets. I jumped into the demo with little expectations and played an exhibition match. The first word that came to mind was 'brilliant'. I didn't think twice and purchased the game soon after. I was amazed by how much the series has evolved. The fluidity of movements and animations were very pleasing to the eyes. The controls were rather confusing at first, but I guess it's just something that I'm not used to. The jump from PES was rather difficult because the gameplay in FIFA is more complex. If you play like PES and expect a star player to dribble your way to goal, you'll lose the ball quickly. You are expected to pass a lot and play like a team. Scoring a goal in FIFA gives me a greater feeling of satisfaction. If you're willing to dedicate time to learn FIFA, it would be a rewarding experience.

Now that I played FIFA, I really can't look at the PES series the same way again. I downloaded the demo of PES 10 a couple of days ago and I'm really sad to admit that PES is definitely inferior in terms of realism. Although it is a major over PES'08, it's still the same game with better graphics. I'd still consider buying it because the majority of my friends still play it. I couldn't really say that I'm a FIFA/PES fanboy. I'm sure that competition is good and I look forward to the next installment of FIFA/PES. Moral of the story is, don't be a fanboy.

I'm the guy that watched a few World Cup games, got the bug for some soccer and picked up FIFA 10. I'm about 30 games in and find the game to be brilliant and an excellent change of pace from the usual sports games.

Coming into the game I literally knew nothing about "real football". So some homework was in order. Online guides and several Wiki searches on the leagues, the players and how everything works were in order. From transfers to salaries to tactics to the actual on the field rules, I started from scratch. After that, you have to learn the controls of the actual game, which are like most EA sports games in that you can increase or decrease the level of control & difficulty to your liking. The controls CAN BE very complex, but the default controls and use of the practice modes make the game pretty quick to learn. The controls are also spot on, so you always feel like you're in control (unlike playing as a lineman in Madden). It also has awesome collision detection. You can run into a player and the AI reactions are amazing. Once you actually learn the nuiances of the passing and shooting game (which I'm admittedly not close to) FIFA 10 plays like a dream.

Overall, I've found the game to be much easier than Madden or MLB:The Show. Once I got a grip on how the attacking formations worked and switching strategies on the fly, it was pretty simple. You are only allowed 3 subs per game (versus 22 on a football field that come and go or pitching rotations and line up switches), so the game as a whole is much easier to manage. It also requires a lot more patience than a Madden or NBA Live. You have to let the action unfold, make smart passes and really set up your goal chances to have success. When playing with a powerhouse, like Manchester United, goals can come easy, but playing as the MLS' Houston Dynamo is an entirely different story.

I have very few complaints. The graphics animate well, but the players look like plastic a common complaint of EA games. The menus react slow and the load times are long. There is also very little in the way of explanations for transfers and the managing system just seems a little sloppy. If there are "money" plays or exploits in the game itself, I'm not aware of them, but that has more to do with my general lack of knowledge in the sport. I do think that the controls on the cross passes are little crazy and often find myself controlling the wrong player in scrums around the goalie box.

Being that the season is over and FIFA 11 is not too far off, you may want to wait to pick it up. I didn't pay full retail for the copy I got but honestly, the global rosters being updated means very little to me. I got it for the game itself and have to say I am really pleased. FIFA 10 is wonderful and I find myself becoming a genuine "footie" fan.

I didn't know what to expect at first as far as improvements but the control upgrades have changed the game. We still sneak a few games of '09 at work in when we have a break and you can really feel how clunky the controls were and how dynamic they are now.

I love it

Only warning is be prepared to practice. This isn't a simple sprint and breakaway game. Learning the new moves is what makes the experience

This is the best soccer game I've ever played. It is very realistic and offers a lot of possibilities. The previous soccer game I played was Fifa 09 in the Wii, then switched to Fifa 10 in ps3. I must say it was a gigantic change, but it was for good in the end. When I started playing it I felt like I was trapped and was never going to master the game, it was just too hard for me. But if you really try and take time to master the game you will feel how it's just awesome in almost every aspect. It offers hours and hours of fun, even more when playing with friends. I've passed a lot of time playing it and hasn't gotten old.

Graphically it is very well polished. I must say that it can look better when you have a closer look of the players, ball, field, etc, than when you have a wide view. Some things might be too colorful in my opinion, but they still look good.

I think the best thing the game has is the playability. Being able to make tricks, various shots & passes gives the game a lot of depth. Something I like is that there is nothing scripted, like certain movement you do will always work. You can always be stopped or miss, it's not like the old soccer games where you could have certain formulas for scoring or getting the ball.

The things I don't like is that sometimes the responsiveness when making a second player run is not too fast. Also the 1 on 1 online multiplayer is very difficult to connect with other player, even when trying to play with friends. That's not the case of the team multiplayer though, that is very easy to access. Also sometimes the passes don't go where you want 'em, but you get the aim of it with practice, though it still happens even when you have experience but not very often.

Overall an excellent game. So if you want a realistic soccer game this must be it.
