Well first I'm going to review the game and then I'll review the BlackWatch Edition. First of all, if you didn't like the first one then you won't want this one because this is very similar to the first Prototype.
Story: You are Sgt. James Heller, you come back from your tour and find that a year later from Prototype 1, there is another outbreak and that outbreak has caused your wife and daughter to die. Now your out to get the one responsible for the outbreak, Alex Mercer. Heller confronts Mercer and he infects him, now you have to get new powers, abilities, and mutations to murder your maker.
Gameplay: New york has been turned into New york zero. NYZ consists of three islands, The green zone (GZ), the yellow zone (YZ), and the red zone (RZ). The green zone is clean of the infection, it's like a normal city but there is still some military wondering the streets and have bases set up. The yellow zone is more of a depression zone. Refugee camps, military everywhere, and Gentek is experimenting on people and infected. The red zone is total hell! Infected everywhere, military fighting, etc. The creatures in the game consist of Infected, Brawlers (Hunters from prototype 1), Juggernauts that are big, fat and armored beasts, and the Huge Goliaths! The are huge female monsters that have a shield for one arm and well a arm for the other. Blackwatch has super soldiers still with a new look. Now everytime you level you earn a skill point and level either health, movement, regeneration, Mass and finishers. Now there are mutations, every time you get collectibles in a area or do side missions (//BLACKNET) you get to get a mutation wich upgrades anything really.
Graphics: There ok. Not much different from Prototype 1, the monsters are very detailed and so are the weapons, but the best graphics I've seen from a 2011, 2012 game.
Overall: Prototype 2 is a fun game, free roam, monster killing, gore fest. The story is sad in the beginning, but turns into killing and slicing up bad guys. The graphics aren't the greatest but not terrible, if you liked prototype 1 I would get this game, so I give it a 4 out of 5.
Blackwatch edition time! It comes with 3 voucher codes, a artbook, a soundtrack, all the radnet edition stuff and well prototype 2. The 3 codes are a digital comic, a 20% off merchandise for prototypethegame.com, a dlc code for the colossal mayhem wich comes with 3 new powers and 3 skins: The Infected heller skin, the infantry heller and test subject heller. The artbook is nice and the concept art is nice, and the soundtrack has some nice music. The radnet edition comes with over 55 challenges, events, and rewards. So the blackwatch edition is nice.

Great game, for sure. Haven't been able to utilize the extras (deployed and the internet is crappy), but the gameplay is awesome. Only thing that would make it better is if it were longer Was a bit too easy (on hard) to find and do everything. But definitely a good sequel, well worth having.Buy Prototype 2 Blackwatch Collector's Edition Now
I really liked the first Prototype game. I ejoyed the game itself, and even just the free roaming and messing around. That said, Prototype is the best of Prototype and then some. I am in the Red Zone (the third area to be accessed in the story mode of the game), and I have completed nearly every extra mission and found all collectibles in the first and second zones already. All in all, the game is awesome. The powers and moves are similar to the first Prototype game. The evolve system is cool, as it lets you upgrade your health, regeneration, shapeshifting, mass, and finishers (a bit less free to use than the first game, which relied entirely on spending experience points to buy upgrades, rather than selecting 1 each time you "level up," like this game does).
The story is very good, and it is cool to see some of the characters (Alex and Dana Mercer primarily) back from the first game. When you get deeper into the game, the story takes a lot of turns taht are somewhat unexpected (a few are pretty predictable, as usual with any video game). I definitely do feel engaged by the story and look forward to what happens next. It doesn't feel completely predictable like other games are, which makes it difficult to put the game down at critical moments.
The only frustration I've found is the missions where you have to run after crates dropped from a crashing helicopter, with each one giving you a bit of extra time, befor time runs out. Some of them get a bit difficult. I've managed to get through about three or four of these (they are typically side missions, meaning optional), but I struggled a bit with some (the last one in the Green Zone, in particular). Still, it feels good to complete any of the side missions, and it does add new elements to the story and give more background information to what is going on outside of the main plot.
I like the different collectible items. There are blackbox recordings, field ops to kill, and lairs to defeat. This makes exploration rewarding and fun. The changing weather is also cool. there is no real advantage to this, but it does at least make the landscape a bit more diverse in that you aren't always looking at the same sky and it is sometimes raining or not.
The Blackwatch Edition is cool as well. The soundtrack is good (if you're in to video game soundtracks, that is, which I am), and the DLC is also worth it. The art book is nice, although I admit that I don't tend to look too much at those.
All in all, I highly recommend this game to anyone who is even remotely considering the purchase. You won't regret it.

this blackwatch edition of prototype 2 is very much worth the cost, the additional content, plus art book free digital comic and sound track round out the title nicely.this one is ok. Game play doesnt seem quite as smooth as the first one, also some of the controls and menues are wonky. Worth a try if you get a good deal on it though.
