I just purchased these last night, Nov 1st, to use while playing BattleField 3 for xbox 360. These are my first headsets for online gaming and so far they are just OK...I dont think they are worth the $179 price...they seem to be basic wireless headsets with some built-in dsp (digital signal processing) presets..think equilizer for your stereo. Now for the Fun Stuff . From their website:

I went to their website and accessed the MW3 "special" area. " " and looked at the "exclusive" content. The only items that are on that page are

* Ear Force Bravo Enhanced Audio Preset Manager Software theres EarForce Delta also, but thats it)

* Additional Call of Duty: MW3 Enhanced Audio Presets for the Ear Force Delta

With the product description about programmable presets, I was thinking I would be able to customize the presets...WRONG... I install the software, but the "Additional" presets I downloaded are the SAME as the ones already installed with the Manager software..nothing programmable at all. Where is all the "Exclusive" content? Wallpapers of the headsets and discounts for buying clothing?? There are no additional presets like the PX3 has. All that can be done is cycle through the presets.

Pros:

* wireless

* flexible boom mike

* clear speech with no background hiss and decent game sound, but it can get a little muddled when a lot is going on where you cannot tell where even a helicopter is.

* separate Chat and Game sound volume controls

* rechargable lithium-polymer battery

* lightweight

* the headband has a springsteel band (not sure how far it goes into the earcup legs)

Cons:

* Overpriced nearly $80-90 more compared to a wired version. Probably about $50 more than a wired dolby 5.1 version.

* lightweight feels kind of cheap for the price

* fabric earcup material is a little irritating

* Lackluster "Exclusive" content

* rechargable lithium-polymer battery pack does not appear to be replaceable.

* Programmable "Pre-sets" are just presets...nothing programmable about them. You can cycle through the presets by pressing the preset button on the headset...that is it. I was unable to use any of the other headset presets I downloaded from Turtle Beach.

* Seems to be only simulated surround sound, as the wireless transmitter uses the standard Red/White RCA jacks for the input. They are NOT dolby 5.1/7.1, that requires their DSS accessory for an additional $89!

* For being wireless, there are a LOT of cables -

* USB charging cable for headset

* USB cable for powering the transmitter

* audio splitter cable from source to transmitter (RCA to 3.5mm jack)

* xbox306 talkback audio cable from headset to controller so you can talk.

Result? You may want to consider the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset X41 by Voyetra/Turtle Beach with Dolby Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound instead...its $20 cheaper and is true 7.1 DSS.

While these are def overpriced, due to my setup I needed wireless for my 360. These were great to keep the wife happy during long gaming sessions at night. These are not programmable as they say. Installed software and just gave option of MW3 presets which are already there. Just ordered dss today. All in all great headset. Pretty comfortable. Tried a set of Xp500 and we're too large for my ears. Went with these due to rechargeable battery. I was afraid of going through too many batteries. All in all great purchase but hindsight is 20/20. In retrospect I would have picked up a set of px3's and added dss. This would give you simulated 7.1 and rechargeable wireless at a better price.

First off just let me say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS HEADSET. Ok so with that being said I bought this for myself for my Bday because i felt i was good this year and deserved to treat myself. I got it to use on my Xbox 360 (ebony) and I'm use to playing with the ole rinky dink one that comes with the system. I wanted something to help take my gaming to the next level and I searched all over the net trying to decide which headset to get and i came across this one. Did research on it and got plenty of mixed reviews but 80% of the bad ones were about the cost (which i must admit i was iffy about myself but was very reluctant to find a pair here for $119.00) and not the product itself other than the whiners complaining about too many wires for it being wireless... Really??? One goes to the transmitter for power, another to the transmitter for the sound of the game to come through and the last is to charge the headset from the transmitter when it needs to be charged. Which by the way i used for a 14hr MW3 session and still had power to go more. Then there is a wire for if you want to use the headset as wireless earphones for your TV, watch movies, mp3 player, or whatever else you can think of for OPTIONAL enjoyment. Umm the headset itself is still only has one and that's only for IF you want to chat. connect to your 360 controller from headset. No big deal.

Now the sound is amazing. You can select from a list of preloaded sound presets to focus in on what you want to hear and you really can hear the difference they make. I read a few people say they heard no difference... either tone deaf or dirty ears that need a good cotton swab cause even my grandma heard the switch from explosions to footsteps. (not a dramatization) Anywho then there is the hurts ears thing. That is based off of your anatomy and I cant help you there i can see how it may hurt some people after a while, but my ears fit right in the holes so not a problem for me.

So all in all I guess what I'm saying is that I would def recommend this to anyone who like myself really didn't know much about a headset past the basics and want a good, quality gaming experience with tremendous sound. I wanted to welcome MW3 with a new experience and I must say I'm happy I took the chance with these. I may have been luck with the price but after actually having a hands on experience with them i wouldn't have minded if i had to pay full price. Great buy for any gamer be it a "noob" or a vet. Oh I almost forgot I have a ps3 as well, rarely play but still and all whenever they come up with something worth powering it on for again I can use these hybrid babies on it as well as a pc. So yea def worth it.

I see there's no review on this yet so I'm gonna do a very quick review based on only my 1st weekend with this headset. I'm using this on my Xbox 360. I'm no a PC person. My PS3 is dead so I cannot test it out (I wanted to see if it worked for my Blu Ray movies). I will update this review from time to time. I've owned the X11, X31, and now MW3 Bravo. I love this headset. Sounds awesome. Probably cause I also own the Earforce DSS 7.1 Sound Processor. I don't really know the big differences between the combo of what I have and the Delta version. This retails here for $170 and the Delta is $300. I'd rather buy the DSS than spending an extra $130 but that's just me. I got my Bravo on sale at my local dept store for $150 so I think I got a nice deal. I'm going to try and point out stuff that's not already stated on the descriptions.

Mic mute button It's now on the headset itself rather than on the wire. I'd rather have it on the wire cause now all of the buttons are on the headset now which makes it harder for me to access it.

Mic chat volume button It's also on the headset itself too instead of on the wire. However, it's now 2 clicky buttons (like a cell phone)instead of the dial. I like it better this way cause the dial was too sensitive for me.

***11/10/11 Update*** Once in a while when I'm chatting w/ my friends/family on chat. I hear a minor echo form them. Not a bad 3 second delayed repeating echo. It's like they're talking to me from a bathroom. It's not really bad but it's there. There's even a sticker on the chat aux cord that states if you hear an echo to unplug and plug it back in...which didn't solve it for me.

Presets They're now 2 buttons. One for the main (normal) sound and the other is to select the programmed presets. Both buttons are small rectangular shaped instead of the older tiny circular buttons from the older headsets. I like it better this way. It comes with 8 presets. 3 for campaign (1-enhancer, 2-bass boost, 3-high frequency boost) and 5 for multiplayer (4-enhancer, 5-footsteps focus, 6-bass boost, 7-amplifier, 8-precision). I can't tell which I'm on though. The only way I can assume is if I press the main preset button, it should reset to 0. I then press the preset button only assuming it goes in numerical order from there. When I find out if I'm right or not, I'll update this review.

***11/10/11 Update*** It's still hard to tell which preset you're on. It beeps when you press it for the 1st 4 presets and the beeps quieter for the last 4 presets. Doesn't really help me.

Game volume Just wanna state it's still a dial and not buttons

Rechargeable battery This is one of the main reasons why I got this. I'm assuming this will be a lot better than using batteries since it should last longer (10 hours). There is now a usb port on the headset. You can now charge the headset when you're not playing or while playing. I don't know if it'll beep or give you a warning if it needs to be charged. I just got this but I'll update my review when it happens. I charged it using a regular power source and it worked fine doing it that way. It comes with a LONG usb cord. It's over 13 ft long (I used measuring tape to find out). I didn't know why but then I thought about it, it's gives you the option to connect the usb from where you're using the headset to your console/sensor. This usb cord is marked with a sticker that it's used for charging and it cannot be used for data transferring.

Chat auxiliary cable cord This is the cord that connects your headset to your controller. I think it's shorter than normal. It's only about 3 feet long. I like a little more slack while I'm still chatting and grabbing a snack or a drink from the kitchen. I wish it was maybe a foot or 2 longer. There's also a stick attached to mark it. It states if you hear an echo to plug in both sides the cord (weird).

Sensor Simple. you switch between using it for PS3, PC, or Xbox 360. This is the 1st sensor I've seen that there's no clear plastic on the front cover with a red light on. I don't know if that's better or not. There is a usb port on the the side of it. It's for charging your headset (using the 13 ft long usb cord). It's a nice option for people that don't want more wire clutter on your console.

***11/10/11 Update*** When I turn off my Xbox 360, the sensor's green little light in the front still blinks. It doesn't stop. I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I just unplug the usb cord just in case and plus it's annoying.

Wireless As you know it's wireless. So far there have been not cutting off or crackling sounds like happened time to time on my X31 headset. Again, I've only used it this weekend so I'll update this as time progresses.

***11/10/11 Update*** Bang for your buck It's a little overpriced. The X41 has 7.1 Surround Sound and is a lot cheaper. Again, I wanted the internal battery that can be charged. That still makes a huge difference to me. Also, the other Turtle Beach wireless headsets, such as the X31 and PX5, has annoying random crackling sounds and some sound cut offs (even when there's no much wireless stuff going on around its sensor). That has not happened to the Bravo headset.

Again, it sounds better than my previous Turtle Beach headsets. The atmosphere on the sound, music, surrounding explosions, vehicles, running/footsteps, reloading, gun fire, etc on Battlefield 3 multiplayer and campaign sounds so awesome. I think it's a nice alternative for people who can't afford getting the Delta. Just don't forget to pick up the DSS with it.

***11/10/11 Update*** Been playing a lot of MW3 since the midnight launch. Sounds just as good as playing Battlefield 3. It's not worse or better than using it with other great FPS games. There's not too much edge.

Want Turtle Beach Call of Duty: MW3 Ear Force Bravo Limited Edition Discount?

I pre-ordered it and wanted to give it some use before reviewing it.

I've been using the same X11 headset for 2 years now and felt it was a good chance to upgrade.

First off I like the presets but you can't add additional presets or change the ones already there apparently.

It's not a big deal to me because I like the ones there but considering its the same thing as the PX3 headset you think you'd be able to have more control.

A big reason I had bought my X11's in the first place and not the X31's or X41's was because I hated the idea of having to replace batteries.

Being able to recharge my headset while I played was a highlight for me.

All the buttons are well placed on the headset and I got used to using them without being able to see them within a few days.

This headset is definitely a little overpriced but if your a big CoD fan like I have been the last 12 years. They're a nice upgrade.

My Pros

Feels just as good on my head if not better than the X11's.

Presets seem to work well with CoD games.

Sound in general is great.

Aux works greats so I can record on my PVR and listen to music.

Mic isn't over sensitive.

My Negatives

Can't alter presets

Overpriced

If you care about presets or think it'll bother you get the PX3's. They're basically the same headset.

If you're a diehard CoD fan go for these.
