I've very troubled by many gaming journalists and top reviewers for some of the major on-line gaming magazines. Apparently, Start the Party was not much of a game for them, It's as if they reviewed this with 16 year old Call of Duty fans in mind. Come on folks, lighten up and have some fun.

While Sports Champions is without a doubt the strongest launch title for the PS3 Move, there's no denying that Start the Party has plenty of charm and some kick-ass augmented reality effects. Matter of fact, it's the best "show off" game of the bunch. Yes, there are only so many mini games you will take part of before they get repeated, but there are difficulty settings and various modes to break things up. This is not the kind of game you lock yourself in a room with and play through out the night. You invite some friends/family in front of the large screen TV and laugh your butt off! I'm sorry, but watching yourself on live feed holding various in-game items is absolutely eye popping hilarious. The mini games are actually quite fun, and technically make any WarioWare micro game look fossilized. Both young and old will have a blast; the very young will be hypnotized by the visuals, and teens will probably have fun but won't dare admit it (the sorry state of adolescent males).

This is a fun game to play with our kids (age 4 & 7). They all enjoyed the game and we certainly enjoyed playing it with them. This is the best PS3 game that I've found that allows us to play a game as a family. The games are varied, but easy to pick up. It would be nice to have more games, but as of right now it is not too repetitive. I'm also not sure how much we'd be playing this game if it was only adults playing. But all in all, a very entertaining family game and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a light-hearted, not too intense game to play with your children.

i don't own the full game but i have the demo and this is the favorite move game for everyone! im buying it since we keep playing the demo over and over which only has 3 different types of party games to it. Also after playing this game my friends canceled their xbox 360 kinect motion controller bundles pre-order! kinect seems interesting but you cant fake the precision a controller gives you while playing video games, especially one like the Move!

I went and picked this up today and I was hesitant at first due to the bad reviews it got, but I took a chance. Well lets say I can see why they call it Start the PARTY, it's definetley a party game. I only played by myself, but I thought it was fun. I understand it's geared towards kids and I'm 26 but I like it. I love how they put a tool actually in your hand, they overlap the actual move controller with a paintbrush or flashlight or fan etc. This game is cool because you see yourself on screen with the various tools you get to use. I honestly think this game could be a huge hit with my buddies and I while drinking some beers, it's competitive and goofy and will surely put smiles on your faces. I'll update after I have people over but so far I'm loving this title, I can really see kids having a blast with this more than me obviously.

I got myself PS3 Move edition and was left feeling that the Move games were not all that exciting after all. Sports Champs are ok, but noone in my family was drawn in. We do play on PS3 a lot (between myself, my wife, and our 7 y.o. son), but it's been non-Move games. I read the reviews here and was a little bit put off by the number of negative or lukewarm reviews. One day, though, we had friends over and all our kids were running around and screaming a little bit much, so I wanted something that would keep them all occupied and in place ordered this game. All I can say is that it worked out perfectly over the holidays!

The game is kinda fun if you play on your own, but you probably wouldn't play it for more than 10 mins. With a group of people, though, it's a completely different experience. Trying to outcompete your friends adds a lot more purpose and excitement to the game. The best thing is that it appeals almost equally to all ages and sexes both boys and girls were playing, ages 6 through 13 I can imagine few activities where these kids would all be involved together. (The adults looked on with great interest too, but the kids were having too much fun and we let them play). And you can actually set the difficulty level for each player separately, so you can even out the chances of winning pretty well. The game also has a nice mix of games and modes of play, so that you can play for a couple of hours and you don't get bogged down. It's very fast-paced and exciting.

Actually, after all of the holiday parties we decided to play as a family. We played 3 games (something like 20 rounds) over an hour-plus and had a blast. With the difficulty levels appropriately set, each game was very competitive and each one of us ended up winning one game. My wife and I both ended up playing so hard that our arms hurt the next day. :)

To sum up, this is not a game a lot of people would play by themselves. However, if you are having a party, this is the game to have. I cannot imagine a better game for such a setting no prior skills required! Well worth the money.

This game had me worried at first... there are a couple glitches and bugs here and there but nothing game breaking. I was terribly bored/ afraid the first part of the game but that is only because it has a slow beginning and takes awhile to get into... as soon as you start to play as Connor who is the main character in the game which i believe is the fourth sequence thats when the game starts to pick up and adds in all the new features which include hunting, free running through trees and the ability to have a bow and a tomahawk. All of these new features make the game way better and a blast to play, if you are not enjoying this game at the beginning i beg you to at least play until you beat a mission or two as Connor!

This game isnt perfect it has its flaws with the AI being stupid at times and horses being hard to control sometimes but the game offers so much new elements as well as the now polished old elements which made previous games amazingly fun! The graphics are amazing except for certain things like bushes/leaves or shadows are kinda blurry/not that detailed but those are such minor details that it shouldn't be judged to harshly...

I highly recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of the series! If you are a newcomer to the series i recommend getting and playing the first two games at the very least.

I was immensely looking forward to this game, but now that I've played through it, I'm disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, but it really didn't have that extra specialness that kept me addicted to the Ezio games. The humor that was so apparent with Ezio is no where to be found with Connor and the overall storyline was boring to me. I also really missed the economy aspects that were ever so present in the Ezio games. While there is a bit of that in this game, it's not nearly as compelling, though I did enjoy hunting (and I'm no hunter!). Maybe this isn't a fair criticism, but I also loved the exotic travel part of the AC series and as someone who lives on the East Coast of the US, I never got that extra special flair with this game. In general, this is a decent game, but didn't live up to my expectations for the franchise.

Assassins Creed has had an amazing run. The story and development has always been top notch. I've bought all the games and played them all again just before buying this one. This one was a let down. It is very different from the other games. You might like it if you approached as a new game and not part of the series because there is definitely some disjoint going on.

Don't let the 1 star reviews fool you (They aren't even reviews of the game, rather, they are reviews of Amazon's service. Rookies)

The beginning is slow, but completely necessary to build the foundation of what turns out to be an amazingly well written storyline.

Once you become Connor and start receiving your assassin training, by sequence 4 you will be having the time of your life killing red coats, raiding forts, jumping from tree to tree.

It just doesn't get any better than this game. Period.

I pre-ordered this as soon as it was available. SO WORTH THE WAIT! The best out of the series so far. I love the new features and side missions like the naval battles. The only thing I hate is waiting another year to play the next one! I can't wait to see where the games go next.

In this video, I go over the following items:

Dance Now: You can dance by yourself, do a dance battle, or complete a song with a dance partner.

Party: Up to 20 players have a dance-off to see who can get the highest score.

Dance Studio: You can create a solo or 2-player dance, take a class to learn dance routines, or try the workout programs.

Get More Songs: The PlayStation Network will be offering downloadable songs.

Galleries: You can view saved photos and videos here.

Options: Allows you to link to Twitter and Facebook, and allows you to turn singing mode on or off.

I also go over a few of the drawbacks, and then I show you how much fun this game is to play.

I've uploaded a few screenshots in the "Customer Images" section as well.

Enjoy!

Back in 2009, Ubisoft's "Just Dance" for the Wii introduced the concept of dance games using "real dance moves". It and its sequels were a huge success, selling over 10 million copies and counting. The game appealed to people on many levels. Individuals could play it to learn real dance moves and get a great workout. Families and friends could play it together and have fun with the choreographed routines. A year later in 2010, Microsoft introduced "Dance Central" for the Xbox. It brought to the table accurate full-body motion tracking of the Kinect and sold 2.5 million copies.

In all this time the Playstation has been somewhat left out in the cold. Singstar Dance was an early attempt to cash in on the "real dance move" craze, but at the end of the day it was a karaoke title with dancing spliced in as an afterthought. "Everybody Dance" is Sony Computer Entertainment's long-overdue dive into the genre. And it's a pretty good one.

As the game starts you need to set up the Move controller by pointing it at the screen. As with Just Dance, only one controller per player is used which you hold in your right hand. The system supports a maximum of two players.

There are a couple menu options:

Dance Now: Here, you can dive right into one of the 40 songs that the game comes with by selecting an album cover using your Move controller. Each song has an "energy level" indicator from 1 to 3. Since the Amazon listing doesn't have the song list as of the time of this writing, I'll list them here. They are:

Amerie 1 Thing (2)

Barry White You're the First, The Last, My Everything (1)

Basement Jaxx Where's Your Head At (3)

Billy Idol with Generation Dancing with Myself (3)

Bodyrockers I Like The Way (2)

Carl Douglas Kung Fu Fighting (1)

CeCe Peniston Finally (1)

The Chemical Brothers Hey Boy Hey Girl (2)

Chromeo Night By Night (2)

Dam-Funk Hood Pass Intact (1)

Deadmau5 Ghosts 'N' Stuff feat. Bob Swire (2)

Diana Ross Upside Down (2)

Duck Sauce Barbara Streisand (2)

Elle Goulding Starry Eyed (1)

Elton John I'm Still Standing (3)

Fatboy Slim Praise You (2)

Groove Armada Superstylin' (2)

Ida Corr Vs Fedde Le Grand Let Me Think About It (1)

Jay Sean featuring Lil Wayne Down (1)

Kool and the Gang Get Down On It (1)

Lady GaGa Born This Way (3)

LMFAO Party Rock Anthem (2)

M/A/R/R/S Pump Up the Volume (3)

Miami Sound Machine Dr Beat (3)

New Kids on the Block You Got It (The Right Stuff 2)

Nicole Scherzinger Don't Hold Your Breath (1)

Ok Go Here It Goes Again (3)

OutKast The Way You Move (1)

Tinie Tempah Pass Out (1)

Usher featuring Pitbull DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love (2)

Usher featuring will.i.am OMG (1)

Willow Whip My Hair (2)

Overall, I'd say the artist selection is "hipper" than Just Dance or Dance Central, the kind of set list you might see from a DJ in a club. This may be an advantage or a drawback depending on your musical tastes.

Once you select a song, you can choose one of three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Professional. Beginner and Intermediate are about the difficulty of a typical song in Just Dance, with basic dance moves. Professional, on the other hand, adds things like complex movements, spins, jumps, and more expert-caliber choreography. Master any song at the Professional level, and you'll surely wow them at your next wedding or party.

Finally, you can select a length of the song. "Normal" songs range around 3-5 minutes, while "Short" versions last about 1-2 minutes.

Game play itself is fairly simple. As with all the other dance games, your goal is to match the on-screen dancer by mirroring his or her moves. While Just Dance has a silhouette to follow and Dance Central uses a hipster doofus cartoon character, Everybody Dance displays a real video image of a human dancer in a gray color. I personally prefer this, as it's easier to pinpoint the precise moves to follow. It's a nice touch that the video image looks like the artist, and the choreography does a great job of capturing the artist's style; in many cases, the moves mimic the same ones the artists perform in their video.

The more accurate your moves are, the more points you'll rack up and you'll be awarded one to five stars at the end. You'll also be rewarded for "streaks" of contiguous successful moves. As with Just Dance, if you stand still and just wave your arms in the right way, you'll be able to rack up points. But of course, the fun in this game isn't in collecting points, it's in performing the real dance moves.

As much as the game is derivative of previous dance games, there are a couple features in Everybody Dance that are truly innovative. While you're playing the game, you can watch the original artist's video playing in the background. Press the "triangle" button and it switches to a live video image of you. You'll even see a "trail of light" that shows your Move controller's motion. This feature is extremely useful when you're learning the dance moves, as you can precisely compare your body position and moves to the on-screen character's.

Once the dance is over, you'll see your point total, number of stars, and longest streak. You'll also be able to view a 30 second video clip of your performance, as well as 10 snapshots that were taken during the performance of you in various poses. You have the option of saving them to the PS3 hard drive or posting them to Facebook or Twitter (and to the PS3 Community).

By default, you dance in solo mode until a second player turns on their Move Controller. Once that's done, the menu changes to "Battle Mode", where you can compete against each other in any of the songs in Beginner, Intermediate, and Professional levels. Alternatively, you can also select "Dance Partners", where each player gets his or her own unique choreographed moves in a single dance routine. Bear in mind that for two players, you need at least 8-10 feet of space in front of the Playstation Eye so that both of you fit comfortably on the screen, and even then you may end up bumping into each other or hitting each other.

"Party" mode is another pretty cool innovation. It starts off by asking you to take pictures of each person who's participating, from 2 up to 20 people. Then, it'll pair two competitors at a time to a dance-off. The two selected dancers can choose a song, difficulty level, and song length to compete to. The rounds keep going until you stop, at which time you'll be shown the overall winner (based on number of songs won, awards won, and longest streaks), rankings, and the biggest rival.

The "Dance Studio" menu offers three options: Dance Creator, Dance Class, and Dance Workout. "Dance Creator" lets you record and play your own routines, either solo or with a partner. You're shown a full-screen image of yourself (with the music video playing in the corner) and you basically record yourself dancing. You can then play your (or others') saved routines from the Dance Now, Party, or Dance Creator menus (complete with very accurate scoring).

"Dance Class" is a great way to learn the dance moves, highly recommended for the "Professional" difficulty level. The system will break down the song into short sections of about 30 seconds each, and you loop through each section 4 times. Surprisingly, it took me only one or two times going through each section to master it for most songs, even at professional level.

With "Dance Workout", you start out by setting up a new profile. You take your picture and set your weight using the Move Controller. Then, you select a pre-defined workout which consists of similar songs bundled together at different difficulty levels. Each workout consists of 3 songs and lasts about 10 minutes (Professional+ workouts consist of 5 songs and last 15-20 minutes). There are 12 workouts in total across the different difficulty levels.

As you work out, a calorie meter is displayed on top of the screen showing you the target calories for each song. As long as you match the hand movements, you'll get credit for the calories, but of course to get a true workout you need to be "honest" and really do all the motions you're asked to do with your whole body.

Choosing "Get More Songs" will quit the game and take you to the Playstation Store to download additional DLC. As of this writing (October 21, 2011) there were no songs available yet, but expect that to change very soon.

"Galleries" is where you can go to visit all your past saved performances, either ones you saved to your hard drive or uploaded. You can also visit the "Community Gallery" which shows the 30-second videos and photos that others around the world have uploaded. You can vote for videos you like which will help them rise in popularity. As of this writing the game has only been out for a few days, and yet there are already hundreds of videos out there, a few surprisingly good, most not so good. Some observations: men currently seem to outnumber women by a large margin, and grown men should *really* think twice before uploading a video of themselves dancing to Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair".

You have the option of turning "singing" on and off. If you turn singing on, you can sing into the Playstation Eye microphone, or into a USB microphone or wireless headset. After each song you'll get a "singing rating", but that's about it--it doesn't even record your performance.

Everybody Dance is an interesting game to rate, mainly because it naturally leads to comparisons with the games that came before it. I'd say from a "pure fun" perspective, Just Dance still holds the advantage. From a "motion detection accuracy" perspective, Dance Central's full body tracking is arguably superior than the Wii or the PS3's "one-handed solution" for these kinds of games. If you come with pre-set expectations from either of those games, you might be disappointed.

Having said that, Everybody Dance does do both of those things pretty well, and is an excellent game on its own merits. The innovations that Sony brought to the table, including more advanced choreography in original artist's own style, the community features, the accuracy of the "Dance Creator" (which is definitely superior to the same feature on Just Dance for the Kinect), and the ability to dance side-by-side with the on-screen character all catapult Everybody Dance into the same echelon as those games. And of course it is easily the best dancing game available for the Playstation Move right now.

Buy Everybody Dance Now

Everybody Dance is Playstation's exclusive dance game from the developers of the Singstar series. After playing other PS Move dance games (Singstar Dance, Michael Jackson: The Experience), I was worried that the tracking/scoring may not be very accurate. However, after playing my first song I was pleasantly surprised. This game has the best tracking I've seen in a PS3 dance game. I received "Flawless" or "Awesome" where I felt I nailed the dance move and "Ok" or "X" where I could have done better.

There is a wide variety of songs to dance as well. Hip hop, pop, slow jams, etc. The game is really good at allowing everybody to dance. There aren't too many songs that are exclusively feminine. Very good mix here. There is a lot to choose from and there will DLC coming soon to keep things fresh.

One thing that I didn't know about the game was that the dance routines are different for each difficulty which is awesome. It's like, you learn a basic routine for Beginner, then in Medium they add more moves and even more moves for Professional. It really increases the re-playability of the songs.

Workout mode is pretty cool. You choose how intense you want your workout to be and the game will put some songs together accordingly. It keeps track of calories burns and could be helpful for those looking for a good exercise.

It has Facebook/Twitter/Community features that allows you to share your good times and it works as expected.

Everybody Dance is absolutely the best dance game on PS3. Great presentation, songs, dances, gameplay, etc.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My wife typically does kickboxing or zumba workout videos but now she finds that this game is more fun and you get just as good a workout if not better. Adding wrist weights really wears her out.

WHY THIS GAME IS FUN:

*Very easy to pick up and play. You don't need instructions. It is all pretty much self-explanatory.

*Great visuals and nice presentation. It is easy to follow the dancing person in the middle of the screen.

*Dance moves are fun and not overly complex or fast.

*3 different routines for each song which allows you to gradually learn and improve your skills.

*Fun for 2 players to play simultaneously either in "competition" mode or "partner" mode.

*Displays the music video and lyrics so those who aren't dancing can watch and sing along.

*The "Dance Create" mode allows you to record your own dance so that you or others can play it back and follow along. You can really go crazy with creativity (or silliness) here.

*The best part is not yet available at the time of this review and that is the online store where you can buy more songs. If you have played the Singstar game (which is a fantastic karaoke game btw), the concept is the same. Eventually, you'll get bored with the included songs, so the ability to buy more songs gives this game a much longer life.

WHAT COULD BE IMPROVED:

*A continuous play mode would be nice so you can really use it as an aerobic workout video. Custom playlists and shuffle play would be necessary.

*It can be difficult to determine whether you have done a move correctly. There is a slight lag before you get your feedback and you have to avert your eyes from the dancer to see the feedback. The controller can also easily get out of sight of the camera depending on your setup. These are non-issues if you play the game purely for fun (i.e., not competitively).

OVERALL: I had a surprisingly good time playing this game and was working up a sweat pretty quickly. It is a great game for families or parties. Don't have the expectation that this is a "competitive" game. The included songs are a very good mix but I'm looking forward to adding more songs that I like. Hopefully, the online store will have a lot of songs available because this is what will really make the game shine.

UPDATE Nov 2011 As of now, the online store only offers a 4 pack of songs for $9. Lame and expensive. The store needs to offer a ton more songs and allow individual song purchases. The long-term survival of this game depends on the online store and the early returns are not good.

UPDATE Aug 2013 The online store for add-on songs is still poor. You can't buy the songs from directly within the game, you can't preview the songs before purchase, the songs are expensive ($2.50 each), and the selections are very limited. In order to buy additional songs, you must exit to the playstation store. If you aren't familiar with the song, you need to go to youtube to listen to it. The whole process is very inconvenient.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program "Everybody Dance" is pretty much a direct copy of the "Just Dance" games made for the Wii with a few minor differences.

The way the game is played is that you hold the PS3 Move remote in hand and copy the dancers' actions on screen. "Everybody Dance" features a pretty current crop of today's pop hits, which is a good and bad thing. The good is that the game is pretty relevant to the tunes heard in clubs and on radio today. The bad is that there really isn't as much variety as found on the "Just Dance" games, and because the focus is only on current music, "Everybody Dance" will probably feel pretty dated in just a few months. (Of course there will be tons of downloads made available from the PS Network to keep it semi-current I'm sure)

What I love about this game, and similar titles, is that it gets the kids up off of the couch, jumping around and having a blast instead of just giving them a thumbs only workout. The motion capture feature actually tapes you doing your moves, and has become a source of great laughs watching everybody's moves.

I can really see this becoming a hit of the holiday parties we'll be hosting over the next few months too! And for the price, you can't beat what is sure to be a fun game for almost any age.

I bought this to hook up to a computer/monitor while on deployment in Afghanistan with the perception that it would work fine with the PS3...it isn't compatible at all with the PS3. Works well with the Wii but thats not what I bought it for.

As a first note and important note, this cable comes with no additional cables or adapters. Secondly, I am using this for the new Wii U.

The cable works just fine for 480i and 1080i, but 480p, 720p, and 1080p all have intermittent black screens that grows in frequency with resolution perhaps 3 seconds at 1080p.

Unsure if this is a problem specific to my Acer monitor, but in looking at other similar reviews I'd bet it's simply that I'd need to plug it into a TV to change the wii's output settings before it was usable with this cable. Unfortunately, if I had a tv I wouldn't be trying to use it with my lcd monitor out of the box in the first place. Returning this and getting a tv/monitor with vga and av support rather than try more cables or converters of questionable effectiveness.

Other than that it works great!

Good luck!

First off, I am a fan of the Metal Gear series dating back to the NES and MSX days. I have played and completed every Metal Gear game to date (with the exception of this one, only a few hours in), and I truly love the series.

Unlike the geniuses who purposely rate games one star, I understand that this is a spin-off of the Metal Gear Solid series. Raiden has played a pivotal role in the Metal Gear universe since the Big Shell Incident in MGS2. His story was carried out through MGS4 and continues in his own spin-off game, Metal Gear Rising. More of his traumatic past is revealed in this game, and I think it's great that Kojima tasked Platinum Games with developing MGR.

Gameplay: Fast-paced, Bayonetta-style action. I know to newcomers that may sound off putting, but keep in mind Raiden's particular set of skills. The gameplay is very fitting of Raiden's abilities, and truly, the game still feels very much like it's a Metal Gear game.

Controls: They feel very natural and responsive. I was skeptical of the analog blade controls, but they really work extremely well and give you the feeling of actually slicing your foes to bits.

Story: Over-the-top. No spoilers, but it's engaging, mostly ridiculous, and extremely entertaining. That's something that has been present since Metal Gear 1.

Limited Edition Content: The high-frequency katana blade plasma lamp is tremendous. It will be proudly displayed on my work desk. The steel case is your standard steel game case and the artwork on it looks really nice. And the soundtrack, also just kind of a standard throw in, but it's up to par. Really though, the plasma lamp is the meat of this edition. I can't imagine these will be around forever, so collectors should probably jump on this pretty quickly.

So, if you were on the fence about getting this game, download the demo and play it. As for people looking to get the Limited Edition, I have to assume that people willing to spend $149 for it have probably already bought it and know what they are getting into.

As for the review trolls, seriously... Is this still a fun thing for people to do?

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

So, before anyone throws a plasma lamp at my head, let me say that MGS2 used to be my favourite. Do you understand where I'm coming from? Good.

With that out of the way, I was excited for this game very excited but after reading some hateful reviews I started doubting it a little bit... I am ashamed I even thought of doubting.

This game surprised me. The story is deep, emotional, and just silly like MGS, but the big difference for me was that I was never bored by it, I never felt the need to skip a cinematic because it was a huge info-dump. There are no info-dumps in this game. No, things are presented as they are and the foreshadow is left for you to understand; it is never boring, it is always a wonder to watch (and I am on my 3rd play-through) it is actually so good that when it ended, I automatically clicked "continue" (aka +New Game) and when I came to my senses I was already fighting RAY. XD This game is a blast in a very good way!

One complain I have is the camera; not exactly terrible but it can be annoying sometimes.

The gameplay, as I am sure everyone is aware, is a dream. I cannot praise it well enough. The feeling of control you have when cutting an enemy anyway you like, the ability to go through a hall, filled with UGs that could kill you in a beat, completely unnoticed, or the excitement/insanity of using Ripper Mode (I can't even explain this one)... like I said, I cannot praise this game enough.

If you enjoy action games with a great story, awesome soundtrack, an insane protagonist, and amazing gameplay, then this game is for you. It really doesn't matter if you're not a Metal Gear fan, you will enjoy it regardless, I am sure of it!

As to the limited edition, it came in one piece, all shiny and electric. Unfortunately, my promotional code doesn't seem to work.

P.S. BUY THIS GAME. PLAY THIS GAME. LOVE THIS GAME.

I want to start this review by stating something that I feel is necessary. I have played the entire Metal Gear Solid series, from back in the PSOne days. In addition to that, I actually didn't mind most of the aspects of Raiden's character that most people hated in Metal Gear Solid 2. In fact, I found him to be a genuinely understandable protagonist, and the whining, while annoying for some, is probably close to the reaction most of us would have in that situation, whether we'd like to admit it or not. However, in Metal Gear Solid 4 (which featured the best gameplay of the series...but nowhere near enough of it) I thought he was wasted at best, and ludicrously portrayed at worst (seriously...wtf is with the lightning god scene...I don't even). I always wondered why they took a fantastic character design and wasted it on a horrendously homoerotic scene with Vamp (last time I promise but...white blood...wtf?). I knew that when done right, Raiden could be a badass, because the potential was always there. Well clearly Kojima didn't know how to execute this at all because he almost completely scrapped the project when neither he nor any of his designers could create the "cutting" combat system that would make Raiden into said badass Cyborg Ninja. Thankfully, his friends at Platinum Games offered to helm the project just after Kojima cancelled the original "Metal Gear Solid: Rising", and have delivered what I consider to be the most exciting, entertaining title in the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I loved how well the Tactical Espionage Action of MGS developed and evolved over time, but it was seriously done to death. And the cutscenes were starting to make it boring. This game could not be a more polar opposite of everything that Solid Snake's Metal Gear was, and I praise Platinum Games for this. It's a total departure--a major risk in terms of alienating the fan base--but the creators of Bayonetta have made one hell of a game. I've seen this described as a "button masher" and a "God of War clone" and in my opinion, this is definitely not the case. If you try to mindlessly slash and button mash your way through every encounter, the game will punish you with well-implemented difficulty (unique, detailed fighting styles for every enemy and boss), even on Normal mode. The controls are smooth enough to allow casual players to pick it up and just play, and the surprisingly deep story accommodates people looking to get into this game without having to lug around the baggage of the entire MGS series. I cannot remember the last time I felt so exhilarated playing a video game, because the pumping metal score makes every combat adrenaline-packed, and every boss battle an epic showdown. Ninja Gaiden fans already have their games, and I'm sure they love them, but leave it to Platinum Games and Hideo Kojima to deliver the first video game experience where I actually felt like a REAL ninja fighting other REAL ninjas. This game demands to be played, and it couldn't have been executed better.

Absolutely amazing CE! Of course i bought it mostly for the Tesla coil lamp with Raiden's sword in it. If you played the game, and yes the game comes with the package, you will remember Raiden has two swords on his back, the long one, and the small one, the lamp is the exact scale replica of the small one, so yes it is a big lamp. There are two settings, one is for the light only, which will produce a beautiful dark blue aura in your room all around, if you dim the lights around it, in the room, it will produce a more powerful effect. The 2nd setting is what i love the most, the blue light combined with an electric arc produced by a Tesla coil on top of the sword that will launch lightning bolts all around the sword... Awesome!! Please keep in mind that you have to remove the plastic film all around the globe BEFORE turning the lamp on for the 1st time, and also that you can set the intensity of the lightning itself with a tiny screwdriver. There is an area for that under the globe. One of the best Collectors Edition i ever bought in my life!!

Now with the obvious out of the way with the header. The game while a quick endeavor to action veterans but the great thing about this game is the pacing. You can get Kojima movie-esc scenes but they don't last for 25 minutes each. The soundtrack in game while tailored is the first in a long time to get you pumped to tackle enemies with gusto.

The controls are tight and responsive, each boss if you would call it has a unique identity and trait which is always a welcome change from generic boss and final boss omega super guy. The one downfall is the camera if you happen to be parried or knocked into a corner, unlike most mid to modern action games the camera doesn't "ghost" the wall. While not game killing it does hurt in dire moments.

I would recommend this spin off to people who get this is a Kojima title made by Platinum and it's not meant to be on the stealth end like Snake and his incarnations.

I've read a lot about the problems this game has been having on the PS3... talks of slow-down in the game play, reviews coming mostly from Europe, particulary the UK. I'm not sure what is different here in the US, but I've had absolutely no slow-down problem of any sort. I've played it on my Standard-TV (non-HD) and my HD set, and everything is running smooth.

As far as I can tell, that's been the only thing dragging down other reviews, because this game is close to perfect. Yes, it does the lack of licencing is an issue(doesn't have all real team names, player names, etc.), but that can be easily fixed using the editing tools, or you can download optionfiles with everything fixed and updated. Just google "Pro Evo 2008 ps3 option file" and you should be able to find it along with instructions.

The soccer in this game is brilliant, and is much more realistic than FIFA!!

This game as all the Pro Evolution Soccer series, formerly known as Winning Eleven, is about enjoying the game of soccer as closely as the real game.

When you score you really fight for it and it's not about doing the same play over and over to score multiple times you might try the same play and results won't be always the same.

I dodn't give the game 5 stars just because the graphics in the background specially when you score are like the original Play Station, but you can live with that when your fingers and mind are itching to play this game, because as games in the past it is adictive and when you get to score you enjoy it because it's exciting you put effort into it.

Also if you are into WE and now PES you know you don't get all licensed teams but that doesn't take anything away of the fun factor and gameplay, maybe on the over all experience.

And in case you are wondering I have played the FIFA 2008 demo sure it was impressive graphic wise, and the licensed teams but after 2 games I didn't want to know anythig else about it. In the end what are you looking for a nice game to watch or an adictive game to play? If you want licenses and stunning presentatio go with Fifa if you are craving for an addictive game then go with Pro Evolution.

I've been a PES/Winning 11 enthusiast since 1998, and this is the best iteration by far. Although the network play mode is major novelty, expect to have a poor experience when playing an opponent on the network just when you think your D cleared a ball in the goal area, the ball all of a sudden goes in the net.

It is certainly not perfect, and my expectations were a bit higher for the PS3 version. However, I will say it is still a good game for previous Winning Eleven (now PES 08) fans. The gap between FIFA and Winning Eleven is clearly narrowing, but I still give Winning Eleven the edge for sheer gameplay. One annoying thing is that replays suffer tremendously from slowdown. If you are the type to get bothered or angered by this, then don't bother with this game. Framerate drops are barely noticeable during gameplay as to affect my review.

Some things I hope Konami will update. Graphics. They are still behind EA in this department with respect to framerate and overall quality. Online connectivity. It sucks. I expect better from this console generation.

First of all, I have PS3 but I bought a PS2 version of the game. The online mode is lagging so bad. the player move around without your control. also, PS3 have less Stadium then PS2. If I not remember wrong. PS3 only have 10 stadium vs PS 2 35 Stadium. PS2 get the World Tour Mode, which PS3 doesn't have. Xbox 360 and PS3 has so many bug. go Google search PES 2008 bug. you will know what I am talking about here. Very Disappointed fans of WE series.

I bought this controller for Killzone 2 and liked it well enough. Coming from the ergo-awesome 360 controller, I needed something a little less wrist twisting than the DS3. For the 10 or so hours I used the controller, it seemed quite nice. However, something happened.

For whatever reason, my controller started vibrating without any input. I tried to reset the controller, but it continued to vibrate. I even let the batter completely wear down for a good week and still, when I charged it back up, it started vibrating again.

Normally, I wouldn't worry about it since this type of issue should be covered under a warranty. However, as soon as I contacted customer service at DreamGear, I was played like a fiddle.

Not only do they not stand behind their products, but the inner-most workings of this thing must be quite sub-par for it to just start vibrating for no reason and THEN not be able to remedy it.

In summary, the controller design is nice. However, whats the point of a controller if it doesn't work and if the manufacturer doesn't support their products. DreamGear has failed in my eyes and I hope no one else makes the mistake of buying their less-than-worthless products.

Other reviews here are accurate. The performance of the analog sticks just don't cut it. They go from low to high way to quick with barely any room for a "medium". Bought this guy mostly because the PS3 controller was killing my thumbs along with my 5 year old having issues reaching the sticks comfortably. Thought the Shadow was the answer because the 360 controller is by far superior in ergonomics (got a PS3 for Bluray). I did a side by side comparison with the Shadow and SixAxis controller and came away with a new appreciation for the Sixaxis. Control with the Shadow is clunky and inaccurate at best resulting in some frustrating game play. Why somebody can't make a good 360 style controller for the PS3 is beyond me. The company that does sure will make a killing. The Shadow will be returned to Best Buy.

The Good:

This controller feels great in my hands. I like how the left analog stick and the d-pad locations are swapped. Biggest selling point for me as I prefer it for most of the games I play. I've got nothing against the Dualshock 3(great for SF4).

The quality of this controller is top notch. The rubber exterior feels good.

The sticks and buttons feel great. The sticks have a good resistance to them. Not too loose and not too hard.

Built in rechargeable battery is very nice. Recharges like the DS3. Battery lasts for dozens of hours(haven't timed it yet).

Good wireless connectivity. Can sit up to about 25-30 ft away.

The Not-so-good:

The "enhanced" triggers on this controllers aren't really enhanced. Sure they curve out instead in curving in but the travel distance is half of the DS3. On some games, you have to press them all the way down to register the press.

There is no Sixaxis controls so you'll have to switch controllers for games that utilize Sixaxis controls.

I wish it was Bluetooth. Can't start up the PS3 by pressing the "Home" button.

Clicking down on the sticks is louder than most controllers(Just me being nitpicky).

The USB receiver is a bit too big for my liking. Again, me nitpicking.

D-pad isn't that great. Not as good as the DS3 but better than the 360 d-pad.

I wish the tops of the analog stick were concave(360) instead of convex(DS3).

Overall, a great alternative for those who prefer the 360 layout to the DS3. Highly recommended.

the feel of the controller is good but when playin calll of duty 4, no matter what sensitivity you are playing on, this controller ruins it. If you move the stick slighty it will barely move and then it suddenly shoots into a super fast speed. So if you try to snipe or try to be very accurate, this controller will not work.

I realy liked this controller better than the dualshock3.It is a lot more comfortable. And the trigers are better because your fingers don't side off.1 problem is you can't turn the ps3 on.Overall this is a quality controller.

EDIT

Ok, so I been using this controller for 6 months. And for 3 months it worked fine, but then the triangle button went out and now the circle button is dead too.

So I changed my original 5 star rating to a 2 star.

I just purchased these last night, Nov 1st, to use while playing BattleField 3 for xbox 360. These are my first headsets for online gaming and so far they are just OK...I dont think they are worth the $179 price...they seem to be basic wireless headsets with some built-in dsp (digital signal processing) presets..think equilizer for your stereo. Now for the Fun Stuff . From their website:

"The EFB also comes with a "Field Supplies" card, featuring a unique code to unlock access to an exclusive Turtle Beach / CoD: MW3 mini-site where you will find:

* Access to exclusive downloadable artwork

* Discounts on Turtle Beach swag

* Exclusive offers from Turtle Beach and partner companies for deals on MW3 content and other items that you can't get anywhere else

* ...and much more!"

I went to their website and accessed the MW3 "special" area. " " and looked at the "exclusive" content. The only items that are on that page are

* Ear Force Bravo Enhanced Audio Preset Manager Software theres EarForce Delta also, but thats it)

* Additional Call of Duty: MW3 Enhanced Audio Presets for the Ear Force Delta

* Turtle Beach Apparel Promo Code

* Turtle Beach Call of Duty: MW3 PC Wallpaper / Screensavers

With the product description about programmable presets, I was thinking I would be able to customize the presets...WRONG... I install the software, but the "Additional" presets I downloaded are the SAME as the ones already installed with the Manager software..nothing programmable at all. Where is all the "Exclusive" content? Wallpapers of the headsets and discounts for buying clothing?? There are no additional presets like the PX3 has. All that can be done is cycle through the presets.

Pros:

* wireless

* flexible boom mike

* clear speech with no background hiss and decent game sound, but it can get a little muddled when a lot is going on where you cannot tell where even a helicopter is.

* separate Chat and Game sound volume controls

* rechargable lithium-polymer battery

* lightweight

* the headband has a springsteel band (not sure how far it goes into the earcup legs)

Cons:

* Overpriced nearly $80-90 more compared to a wired version. Probably about $50 more than a wired dolby 5.1 version.

* lightweight feels kind of cheap for the price

* fabric earcup material is a little irritating

* Lackluster "Exclusive" content

* rechargable lithium-polymer battery pack does not appear to be replaceable.

* Programmable "Pre-sets" are just presets...nothing programmable about them. You can cycle through the presets by pressing the preset button on the headset...that is it. I was unable to use any of the other headset presets I downloaded from Turtle Beach.

* Seems to be only simulated surround sound, as the wireless transmitter uses the standard Red/White RCA jacks for the input. They are NOT dolby 5.1/7.1, that requires their DSS accessory for an additional $89!

* For being wireless, there are a LOT of cables -

* USB charging cable for headset

* USB cable for powering the transmitter

* audio splitter cable from source to transmitter (RCA to 3.5mm jack)

* xbox306 talkback audio cable from headset to controller so you can talk.

Result? You may want to consider the Xbox 360 Wireless Headset X41 by Voyetra/Turtle Beach with Dolby Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound instead...its $20 cheaper and is true 7.1 DSS.

While these are def overpriced, due to my setup I needed wireless for my 360. These were great to keep the wife happy during long gaming sessions at night. These are not programmable as they say. Installed software and just gave option of MW3 presets which are already there. Just ordered dss today. All in all great headset. Pretty comfortable. Tried a set of Xp500 and we're too large for my ears. Went with these due to rechargeable battery. I was afraid of going through too many batteries. All in all great purchase but hindsight is 20/20. In retrospect I would have picked up a set of px3's and added dss. This would give you simulated 7.1 and rechargeable wireless at a better price.

First off just let me say that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS HEADSET. Ok so with that being said I bought this for myself for my Bday because i felt i was good this year and deserved to treat myself. I got it to use on my Xbox 360 (ebony) and I'm use to playing with the ole rinky dink one that comes with the system. I wanted something to help take my gaming to the next level and I searched all over the net trying to decide which headset to get and i came across this one. Did research on it and got plenty of mixed reviews but 80% of the bad ones were about the cost (which i must admit i was iffy about myself but was very reluctant to find a pair here for $119.00) and not the product itself other than the whiners complaining about too many wires for it being wireless... Really??? One goes to the transmitter for power, another to the transmitter for the sound of the game to come through and the last is to charge the headset from the transmitter when it needs to be charged. Which by the way i used for a 14hr MW3 session and still had power to go more. Then there is a wire for if you want to use the headset as wireless earphones for your TV, watch movies, mp3 player, or whatever else you can think of for OPTIONAL enjoyment. Umm the headset itself is still only has one and that's only for IF you want to chat. connect to your 360 controller from headset. No big deal.

Now the sound is amazing. You can select from a list of preloaded sound presets to focus in on what you want to hear and you really can hear the difference they make. I read a few people say they heard no difference... either tone deaf or dirty ears that need a good cotton swab cause even my grandma heard the switch from explosions to footsteps. (not a dramatization) Anywho then there is the hurts ears thing. That is based off of your anatomy and I cant help you there i can see how it may hurt some people after a while, but my ears fit right in the holes so not a problem for me.

So all in all I guess what I'm saying is that I would def recommend this to anyone who like myself really didn't know much about a headset past the basics and want a good, quality gaming experience with tremendous sound. I wanted to welcome MW3 with a new experience and I must say I'm happy I took the chance with these. I may have been luck with the price but after actually having a hands on experience with them i wouldn't have minded if i had to pay full price. Great buy for any gamer be it a "noob" or a vet. Oh I almost forgot I have a ps3 as well, rarely play but still and all whenever they come up with something worth powering it on for again I can use these hybrid babies on it as well as a pc. So yea def worth it.

On a side note for anyone who has a 360 hit me up my gamer tag is: Deaths Songxx. Hope my review helps and good luck.

I see there's no review on this yet so I'm gonna do a very quick review based on only my 1st weekend with this headset. I'm using this on my Xbox 360. I'm no a PC person. My PS3 is dead so I cannot test it out (I wanted to see if it worked for my Blu Ray movies). I will update this review from time to time. I've owned the X11, X31, and now MW3 Bravo. I love this headset. Sounds awesome. Probably cause I also own the Earforce DSS 7.1 Sound Processor. I don't really know the big differences between the combo of what I have and the Delta version. This retails here for $170 and the Delta is $300. I'd rather buy the DSS than spending an extra $130 but that's just me. I got my Bravo on sale at my local dept store for $150 so I think I got a nice deal. I'm going to try and point out stuff that's not already stated on the descriptions.

Mic mute button It's now on the headset itself rather than on the wire. I'd rather have it on the wire cause now all of the buttons are on the headset now which makes it harder for me to access it.

Mic chat volume button It's also on the headset itself too instead of on the wire. However, it's now 2 clicky buttons (like a cell phone)instead of the dial. I like it better this way cause the dial was too sensitive for me.

***11/10/11 Update*** Once in a while when I'm chatting w/ my friends/family on chat. I hear a minor echo form them. Not a bad 3 second delayed repeating echo. It's like they're talking to me from a bathroom. It's not really bad but it's there. There's even a sticker on the chat aux cord that states if you hear an echo to unplug and plug it back in...which didn't solve it for me.

Presets They're now 2 buttons. One for the main (normal) sound and the other is to select the programmed presets. Both buttons are small rectangular shaped instead of the older tiny circular buttons from the older headsets. I like it better this way. It comes with 8 presets. 3 for campaign (1-enhancer, 2-bass boost, 3-high frequency boost) and 5 for multiplayer (4-enhancer, 5-footsteps focus, 6-bass boost, 7-amplifier, 8-precision). I can't tell which I'm on though. The only way I can assume is if I press the main preset button, it should reset to 0. I then press the preset button only assuming it goes in numerical order from there. When I find out if I'm right or not, I'll update this review.

***11/10/11 Update*** It's still hard to tell which preset you're on. It beeps when you press it for the 1st 4 presets and the beeps quieter for the last 4 presets. Doesn't really help me.

Game volume Just wanna state it's still a dial and not buttons

Rechargeable battery This is one of the main reasons why I got this. I'm assuming this will be a lot better than using batteries since it should last longer (10 hours). There is now a usb port on the headset. You can now charge the headset when you're not playing or while playing. I don't know if it'll beep or give you a warning if it needs to be charged. I just got this but I'll update my review when it happens. I charged it using a regular power source and it worked fine doing it that way. It comes with a LONG usb cord. It's over 13 ft long (I used measuring tape to find out). I didn't know why but then I thought about it, it's gives you the option to connect the usb from where you're using the headset to your console/sensor. This usb cord is marked with a sticker that it's used for charging and it cannot be used for data transferring.

Chat auxiliary cable cord This is the cord that connects your headset to your controller. I think it's shorter than normal. It's only about 3 feet long. I like a little more slack while I'm still chatting and grabbing a snack or a drink from the kitchen. I wish it was maybe a foot or 2 longer. There's also a stick attached to mark it. It states if you hear an echo to plug in both sides the cord (weird).

Sensor Simple. you switch between using it for PS3, PC, or Xbox 360. This is the 1st sensor I've seen that there's no clear plastic on the front cover with a red light on. I don't know if that's better or not. There is a usb port on the the side of it. It's for charging your headset (using the 13 ft long usb cord). It's a nice option for people that don't want more wire clutter on your console.

***11/10/11 Update*** When I turn off my Xbox 360, the sensor's green little light in the front still blinks. It doesn't stop. I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I just unplug the usb cord just in case and plus it's annoying.

Wireless As you know it's wireless. So far there have been not cutting off or crackling sounds like happened time to time on my X31 headset. Again, I've only used it this weekend so I'll update this as time progresses.

***11/10/11 Update*** Bang for your buck It's a little overpriced. The X41 has 7.1 Surround Sound and is a lot cheaper. Again, I wanted the internal battery that can be charged. That still makes a huge difference to me. Also, the other Turtle Beach wireless headsets, such as the X31 and PX5, has annoying random crackling sounds and some sound cut offs (even when there's no much wireless stuff going on around its sensor). That has not happened to the Bravo headset.

Again, it sounds better than my previous Turtle Beach headsets. The atmosphere on the sound, music, surrounding explosions, vehicles, running/footsteps, reloading, gun fire, etc on Battlefield 3 multiplayer and campaign sounds so awesome. I think it's a nice alternative for people who can't afford getting the Delta. Just don't forget to pick up the DSS with it.

***11/10/11 Update*** Been playing a lot of MW3 since the midnight launch. Sounds just as good as playing Battlefield 3. It's not worse or better than using it with other great FPS games. There's not too much edge.

Want Turtle Beach Call of Duty: MW3 Ear Force Bravo Limited Edition Discount?

I pre-ordered it and wanted to give it some use before reviewing it.

I've been using the same X11 headset for 2 years now and felt it was a good chance to upgrade.

First off I like the presets but you can't add additional presets or change the ones already there apparently.

It's not a big deal to me because I like the ones there but considering its the same thing as the PX3 headset you think you'd be able to have more control.

A big reason I had bought my X11's in the first place and not the X31's or X41's was because I hated the idea of having to replace batteries.

Being able to recharge my headset while I played was a highlight for me.

All the buttons are well placed on the headset and I got used to using them without being able to see them within a few days.

This headset is definitely a little overpriced but if your a big CoD fan like I have been the last 12 years. They're a nice upgrade.

My Pros

Feels just as good on my head if not better than the X11's.

Presets seem to work well with CoD games.

Sound in general is great.

Aux works greats so I can record on my PVR and listen to music.

Mic isn't over sensitive.

My Negatives

Can't alter presets

Overpriced

If you care about presets or think it'll bother you get the PX3's. They're basically the same headset.

If you're a diehard CoD fan go for these.

Wow...graphics are awful for next gen...looks like a ps2 game. Camera is pretty bad. Combat is remedial, repetitive and just plain boring. I can't believe somebody gave this a 5 star rating. Please, don't trust me or the other person...go to a games site and check out a "professional" review...guaranteed to save you money on this. It'll be in the bargain bin before the movie hits dvd. IMHO, you'd be crazy to spend the full sixty bucks on this game. I suppose if you are a hard core fan of the books/movie, then anything with this theme will be desirable to a degree, but if not for the license, this game would be DOA. Actually, it pretty much still is.

This is more like watching a trimmed-down, horribly rendered, poorly scripted version of a movie only it costs more and takes longer!

Gameplay is virtually nonexistent. You don't really do much of anything but guide the characters down short paths, engage in minor button-pressing battles, and press sequences of buttons to manipulate objects for some odd reason. Walking across balance beams is exceptionally slow and tedious.

Most of your time is spent engaged in ridiculous dialogs which cannot progress until you play three or more extremely poor-quality mini games such as "push the balls into a hole", "avoid the balls", "match the symbols" and so on.

Your Pan discovers symbols throughout your journey which make it easier to answer questions using the Alethiometer. Keep the target to the center until a button symbol appears, then press the button and then go through that two more times for the answer to the question to be revealed, allowing you to pass on to the next pointless activity.

Graphics are minimally detailed. Not much to see, and it all looks similar. Enemies include the dude in a tall hat, the dude with antlers on his head, the flamethrower guy in an underwater helmet, the witch, and the bear, maybe one more. Each class of character comes in only one flavor and is barely articulated it's pathetic.

Audio is the only thing cool about this game, although at points it gets choppy and cuts out on occasion.

Is this what the gaming industry is coming to? What a waste of programmers' time! What a waste of everyone's time, really.

They had it at Wal Mart for $10, so I thought I'd play it through. Absolutely dumb game. I'm not sure how others justify a five star review.

Bought this game for my 10yr. old daughter and she loves it as much as she loved the movie...thats all that matters to me on this one.

With graphics that certainly cannot be considered high-quality, and a plot that does not even follow the movie correctly--let alone the book, this game really was no more and no less than I expected it to be. When it comes to games based off movies, it is rare that you'll find one that is truly good. And seeing how the movie wasn't exactly a smash anyhow, you can only expect the game to be half (at the least) as good as the film. I finished the game within 3 days, it wasn't a challenge for me. And it was absurdly boring, but seeing how I had nothing better to do, I went on and finished it anyway. If you enjoy cheesy, slow-going, and horribly animated video games or are much to young to tell the difference between a good game and a bad game, this is for you. If you like games that are...well, not, then try something else.

Have multiple Gallop Racer titles, Breeders Cup World Series, and a G1J for PS2..this is my first race title for PS3 and I LOVE it! Unavailable in the US, I was forced to purchase the UK version through Amazon and the only downside is that I can't get the DLC through US PSN. The game is still amazing even without DLC and plays wonderfully in 720p with HDMI.

Challenging enough for an experienced race-gamer, but easy enough for a beginner this is a definite RECOMMEND game.

"Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer" is the next title in the series and is produced as a team effort from the creators of both series. As I write this review it is available on pre-order through Amazon (I'm about to order mine ;))

G1 Jockey is fun. However, it can be better. it gets very bored. The Gallop Racer series are the best horse racing games ever made. If Gallop Racer and G1 Jockey could combine it would the best horse racing game on the market. G1 jockey 4 should have betting, Breeders cup races, Epsom Derby, Dubai world cup and all the big races in the world. The game must use the same format as the real world. Please make a gallop racer for PS3. Thank You.

There are not many horse racing games out there for the fans. This game is actually one of the few that allow the player to experience the race the way it should. It follows the same story line as the PS2 games. Lots of fun!

I have been playing this game every chance I get for the past 6 months. If you enjoy horse racing you will enjoy this game. I own all the previous Gallop Racer games and G1 Jockey 4 2008 could easily been named Gallop Racer 2008.

The Good:

LOTS of characters to play, with plenty of depth and technical mastery required to truly master the game. If memorizing complex juggles, 5-10 hit combos, safe/unsafe moves, and the frame data for your moves and the moves of your opponents sounds like 'good times' for you then this game has got you covered.

The Bad:

Everything else. The graphics look waxy and dated compared to other recent releases (SC4 which was released by the same company...), the scenario campaign is a tedious grind--hint: choose Devil Jin as your free unlockable and thank me later--although it's not the torture others make it out to be, and most are reporting the online play is laggy (although I didn't notice it the few times I went online to remind myself that I am a horrible Kazuya player).

Final verdict:

The hardcore purists will enjoy the game for it's depth and steep skill requirement--and be frustrated with the online play, but those of you just looking for a pretty game to sit on the couch and button-mash with your girlfriend, you might want to skip this one.

Tekken 2 was the First game I ever owned and I liked the character stories and I've been waiting for this game for the longest time now, and I was expecting a lot, I just wanted the story's but they don't really focus on the story's the fights for the story's are short in # but the graphics are Great.

you Have to play campaign mode to unlock characters if you want to see their story

Cons:

Load time (yes this bothers me, because its long enough that there is an awkward silence if other ppl are around watching)

The subtitles are crazy small and hard to read, what are the Tekken ppl thinking? after playing 6 other Tekken games my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Pros:

looks good

story mode battles are quick

this game will keep you entertained for hours

they do a quick recap of the story starting from Tekken (but the subtitles are small and hard to read)

Tekken has always been a great franchise, with its own fighting system that can't be topped. The presentation is slick, the characters are unique, both in personality as well as fighting, and the gameplay never gets old. While tekken doesn't have the same depth as virtua fighter, its more fun, and more accessible. The controls work just right so if you're a novice you may have some fun, but if you put your time in, you're very rewarded. The only complaint I have it that there are few minor glitches, including a glitchy online system. Though this should be corrected through updates, and there's nothing amazingly innovative that makes the franchise feel fresh. But these things don't hugley detract.

Overally, Tekken 6 is an excellent fight game, with a ton of replayability. Recomended!

When I first heard about a new Tekken that would be going multi-platform for the first time, I was excited. I have been a long time Tekken fan, ever since the beginning, and this first true next-generation Tekken was something I looked forward to from the day that it was announced. Unfortunately, Tekken 6 fell short. The campaign mode, was a terrible deviation from a game that is meant to focus on fighting, not poorly designed button mashing. What had been a side foray in previous Tekken games, has become front and center in this one, and I don't feel as though that was the proper course of action to go about. When it comes to arcade mode, truth be told, it's too similar to Tekken 5, and Tekken 5:DR. There just wasn't enough innovation in my opinion.

In conclusion, unless you are the most extreme Tekken fan out there, I advise skipping this one, at least until the price for the game + shipping drops below $20. There are better fighting games out there, so you're better off picking those up, especially because they are all currently at similar prices.

Tekken 6 is FUN! I am a fighting game enthusiast who enjoys what Tekken 6 has to offer!

ONLINE: As of Turkeyday, Namco released a patch correcting online play and the game runs smoothly and almost without lag with players that have good connection (4 to 5 bars run smoothly; also, you can choose players that have good online connections rather than bad before entering a match). I have no issues with playing online. Furthermore, you can download ghosts of realtime player from online to play against!

Scenario Mode: Its fun and wacky to play. You go about beating the various levels of this mode to unlock more characters to choose from and you get one free pass to choose a character to unlock automatically(default characters are Lars and Alisa) If you are feeling lighthearted and want to beat up funky sumo wrestlers, kangaroos, and miniature sized bears, PLAY THIS MODE! This mode also has hardcore stages... fighting demons on a train, a cheap chainsaw robot girl, and an egyptian monster! Another reason to play scenario mode is customizations. Throughout the game you will have treasure chest drops containing various items to customize your characters, these items give your characters abilities like fire or ice elementals, higher attack, more money making, more item drops, and etc (Also, in this mode I love reading characters quips in scenario mode Lee and Alisa have a silly intro dialogue in ganryu's stage).

*I highly suggest you unlock DEVIL JIN as your first character of choice; some people tend to give up trying to unlock him on the hardest stage, Nightmare Train (you got 50+ demons to kill on that stage and a boss with 7-8 demons fighting by his side; I knocked him off the train after a few minutes for an instant KO. Took me 3 hours though >>).

Storymode: I love tekken's story mode from tekken 5. It had character interactions that gave more insight about each fighter, but they cut it out :( The amount of levels leading to the final round have been cut down to 3 fights rather than 7. I disagree with this decision because it makes the game feel so much shorter, and really more of a gimmick now than ever.

Closing comments:

I would highly recommend buying this game. I grew up as a kid playing this fighting game from Tekken 3 for the playstation. I imagine kids from middle school and up enjoying scenario mode a lot (and spamming the same moves over and over). For adults like me, I like the game options for casual play like survival mode and scenario mode when I am not feeling up for beating people online, and its great now tekken 6 offers better online play against real people!

I bought this game from Amazon; I still play this game and enjoy it very much so. This was worth $60.00. I don't care if the graphics are not on the lines of Uncharted 2 or Virtua Fighter 5. They are more than acceptable to me, but what I do care about is that the action is well paced and well executed. I haven't enjoyed beating up people in a fighting game for a long time :)
