My gf bought this stick for my birthday two weeks ago at Gamestop and so far i love it. its my first stick and i figured "why not get the best?" I dont think i have ever even played ssf without a controller(born in 89)so i have nothing to compare it to, but it has definitely made the game twice as fun.

They are still easy to find but most stores only have the xbox one. although, if you just ask them they can look up the nearest gamestop that has it. I didnt plan on gettin the marvel vs capcom edition but when i was browsing and researching, i noticed the $200-350 price tag online and said f that. So i planned on ordering the black edition after my bday. i went back home to see my parents during my bday and ended up at a gamestop where i saw this stick. I flipped out because it was priced at 140 as opposed to the online prices because i didnt read the reviews. my gf offered to get it for me and i was sold.

i think the online prices might just be a marketing scheme because gamestop is way overstocked in these. so that when you see it for really cheap you think your ripping them off when really your still paying 20 extra bucks for a faceplate

Its full sized but it can still fit comfortably on your lap. its even big enough to fit a small ash tray on for quick blunt actions

Don't be ripped off!

Online scalpers are counting on people's gullibility in believing this Marvel Vs Capcom stick is worth over $200.

It's a GameStop exclusive but GameStop still has plenty of stock of it left -IF you just look!

They have marked down the stick $20 from MSRP $159.99 because they didn't get rid of them during Christmas sales.

Frankly, the only reason this stick is more expensive than the Mad Catz TE Round 1 or Round 2 TE sticks is because of the licensed Marvel character art!

It's a great stick but no different than the previous mass market versions hardware-wise.

Mad Catz will probably keep rolling out limited edition runs of the TE stick until they redesign the base or it stops selling. Again, the major differences amongst the sticks is the artwork design on each! Expect a Super Street Fighter IV stick later in the year and possibly another San Diego Comic Con Limited Edition run. Most hardcore gamers customize their sticks with alternate colored buttons (a lot of us HATE the monotony of the colors Mad Catz chooses), rip off and change the faceplate art, or replace the buttons and sticks with alternative Seimitsu brands parts which the stick casing was designed to accept if people prefer that to the Sanwa brand parts the stick base comes with.

I wanted to invest in a fightstick for my recent purchase of Marvel vs Capcom 3 for PS3 and did quite a bit of researching. I came across this one in my research and was first taken by surprise at the price on Amazon. Instead of going the online route, I decided to try a different strategy. After about 10 phone calls to various Gamestops in the DC area, I finally found one that had a few in stock. They were selling for $130. I have to say that in terms of quality, feel, and look, this is well worth the money. I've tested it out quite a bit with Marvel vs Capcom 3, and am very satisfied with its responsiveness and overall feel. It's like being in the arcades again, trying to master moves on those change-guzzling SFII machines. The artwork on the stick is also a selling point; it really stands out. This is one of those items that pull you even more into the game you're playing it for; it's a really high-quality product.

The first time I saw this Arcade stick my eyes lit up. A friend of mines showed me his for the Xbox 360 and I asked did they have one for the PS3 and he said yes. So I looked around online and was sort of shocked at the price. They usually will run you about $150 on average but was able to get one for my PS3 at eBay for $100 shipped so shop around. However, don't be taken a back by the price, Mad Catz Tournament Edition Arcade Sticks (this is not the only one Mad Catz had made by the way) are worth the money they are asking for so read on and you will find out why.

Now this is my first time ever owning one of these, I've been a Street Fighter fan for a long time but I find it so hard to do any special moves consistently on a pad. You got some good players that can do this on a pad but then some of my friends put me on to the arcade stick said they were easier to use and the special moves would be more easier to execute. Well, they were right about the first one but wrong on the other.

If you plan on buying an arcade stick you must first understand that please do not buy this if you plan on getting something just because the art looks good on it (and on this one it does), or just because you want some extra cool toy to have, or just to show it off to your pals. An arcade stick is an investment and its for serious fans of fighting games. Its not worth the money if you play role playing games more than fighting games. After a while of not using it you will say to yourself, I wasted $150 on something that I could have used on other games. Am I saying that only fans of fighting games should own these? NO. I am just simply saying that they take some time to get use to and if you are not a serious fighting game person, then it might not be worth your money to invest. While you have some gamers that do both genres like me (role playing & fighting) its ok, but if you just play a fighting games say 20% of the time and the other 80% playing role playing games, then it wouldn't be worth you investing in it. While Mad Catz Tournament Edition arcade sticks look cool and easier than a pad in my opinion, you will have to put in some time learning how to use it effectively.

My main character is Sagat (Super Street Fighter 4) and for about 3 weeks I've been in the training room and I can tell you that just from the practice alone, Ive become much better at playing Super Street Fighter 4 using this arcade stick. I prefer this stick over a pad any day because all the buttons are accessible unlike the pad why you have slide your fingers over buttons and move the analog button with just your thumb. It takes some getting use to but with a good amount of practice (and you will need it if you are a first timer) you will get your moves down pat. The Tiger Uppercut is easier to execute now and so is the Tiger Shot. Ultras are easier to pull off with practice too.

I love this arcade stick, the art rocks, its just like having an arcade in your home. The buttons are like super responsive to every little small tap. It has good weight to it too. I set it on my lap when playing but it also has rubber feet for table top play....very well made! Mad Catz used to be known for putting out not so good accessories ( well some good, some bad) but they have an ace in their Tournament Edition Stick. Buy it, you cant go wrong but only buy if you are serious about putting in the time it takes to use it properly. Practice makes perfect...well some of the time...online competition can be very tough, even with practice! But at least I've won some matches :-)

I started with a Street Fighter 4 tournament edition arcade stick, and this one feels about the same. I like the size of the Street Fighter 4 but if I didn't start with that one I pobably wouldn't know the difference and may prefer this one over the other. The stick I bought just so happens to have no current going to the lights that tell you the controller is plugged in, but that's probably just mine.

all in all it is a good sized stick. Not really bulky, fits in the lap well, but it is pretty heavy. It has all Sanwa parts, and before you buy it know that the stick is fitted into a diamond shaped socket. it isn't like the Joy sticks on a controller where you can just move it round and round, it pivots inside of a socket that is shaped like a diamond and it makes playing KOF as well as playing with chun li, and Zangief like characters weird sometimes.
