This skin stuck very well. There is absolutely no peeling. The color is most excellent. As much as I play games there is no fade what so ever. This is a most excellent way to express your gaming style or to just seperate your different contollers.

When I firts saw this I thought it was a rubber grip but its a stcker. And since its a stcker you'd want to buy it new not used. You need to be carefull when you apply it it tends to stick on the controler aggressively. But a really cool design and will look so boss to your friends. make sure you take apart the controler and clean it before you apply the stickers and mind the small screws. Please dont mod the controler.

The first cable I received was defective. The display was terrible and displayed dead lines on my screen.

But after speaking with a rep from the seller, they rushed me a new cable, and I didn't have to return the old one. (not like it mattered, it didn't work. But it's an inconvenience to return items sometimes.)

The new cable works well enough. I get audio and video with few hiccups, and it was worth the price for what I was using it for. Still, if you're looking for something for that new HDTV, I recommend looking elsewhere.

This cable works great. I am using it with a DVI to HDMI adapted on my graphics card. The wire is running along the base board where it is connected to the HDMI port on the back of a 50" Pioneer Plasma Elite HDTV. Don't be fooled by the expensive brands, with a digital signal if you see the picture then your cable works.

I really enjoyed the approach of this game; the chapter idea was very cool, esp. w/the previews of the upcoming chapter; gave it a 'serial' kind of feel;

The graphics(while extremely dark at times)are pretty amazing; the detail in all the levels make you just want to stop and stare; it most def. has the feel of the Fatal Frame/Silent Hill look; for 720p, I was really impressed.

It is fun just to go into 1st person mode and just look around.

To me, the best thing about this game were the cut scenes; they all offer some true surprises, as well as many 'holy crap' and 'WTF?' moments. This game just took it's crazy plot/concept and ran w/it, def. creating something unique, which is increasingly rare now days, esp for long time gamers.

This game is scary, esp. sound wise and in the 'sight-jack' mode; the music is a perfect accompaniment, and the rain and thunder sounds are really lifelike. There are lots of 'do I really need to go in there?' moments, and many scenarios/situations I had not seen or experienced, Some things seemed familiar, but never copied or heavily borrowed from.

This is not to say there are not a few flaws; there is a learning curve for the controls and the map, and it is very important to use stealth and 'sight-jack' more than one would think. The response for the controls can be frustrating in times of running from and fighting off multiple enemies, but it can be dealt with after time; i actually played to about chapter 5 and restarted, knowing the controls and map better.

And the game can be too dark at times.

And you will prob need to look at the online walkthrough at some point; I had to use it twice as the objectives or ways to accomplish them were somewhat hazy; there was one situation I would have never gotten on my own.

So while not fluid in controls, it is fluid in creativity and some great horror gaming moments; in fact, the nurses in this game may even be creepier than the ones in SH.

This is also available as a download on the PS3; I just like owning the actual disc. I got a UK region free version that works fine in the US unit.

This game is all about the scares, tension, graphics, cut scenes, sounds, places, and it's fresh approach. It knew what it wanted to do and did it well, complete with the most potentially dangerous seizure-inducing moment/level in gaming history.

I can't wait to play it again!

Unbelievable. 4 years old, the most immersion and scariness to experience on the system! Broken up into episodes, you feel like you are competing in a reality-horror TV series. What a blast, replay is great as well. It's a world you wanna re-visit, as long as you know how to escape first!

Objectives can be unclear. The map can be more of a burden, than an asset. The story makes little sense to me (though never dull). The combat system is a chore to execute (comes with the genre i suppose). And trial and error seems to surface rather frequently, removing tension and fear, and replacing those feelings with frustration and annoyance. Based on those issues, this game deserves a poor mark, right? Well, not exactly. You see, this game scared me to no end most of the time. I was so frightened to play it, that i wanted someone in the room with me. It's been MANY years since a horror title imposed such feelings of fear and panic in me. This is what i want from a horror game! The environments are spooky, the enemies are freaky, and the sounds...don't even get me started! This game has the potential to frustrate, but it does deliver on the chills. Besides, all good horror games are difficult, in a confusing, hair pulling, trial and error kind of way. Not for everyone, but certainly for core fans.

Want Siren Blood Curse Discount?

With most games in the genre making the shift towards action horror, Siren: Blood Curse instead retains what made survival horror so appealing in the first place. It would have been easy for them to appease the action/shooter fanbase, and cash in like so many others have. Thankfully, the often under appreciated Siren franchise does not sellout. Since our options have become increasingly limited these days, it is refreshing to see a game that can still provide an authentic survival horror experience. The mood and atmosphere presented here, is incredibly well executed. I always felt uneasy playing Blood Curse, which only enhanced my feelings of tension and dread. The shibito are very disturbing, and provide many panic inducing moments. The village is dark and creepy, the buildings suffer from rust and neglect. The hospital sequence was especialy unnerving! The sound effects are very convincing, and the score will send shivers up your spine. I really enjoyed the episodic structure of the game too.

+ PROS:

+ Improved weaponry, armor, etc.

+ Even more ways to kill Necromorphs

+ Extra difficulty modes of Zealot and Hard Core

+ Extra game "Dead Space: Extraction" included

CONS:

Has a "been there, done that" feeling

Scare factor is diminished with repeated play-throughs

Multiplayer can be very frustrating

PLOT:

Dead Space 2 takes place three years after the conclusion of the previous game. Isaac Clarke, our hero, has been reduced to an asylum patient in The Sprawl. Before long, he escapes his confinement and discovers yet another plot by the Unitologists to use him and his Marker-infected mind.

Using his wits, his trusty plasma cutter and some strategic dismemberment, Isaac starts on another journey to eliminate as many Necromorphs as he can.

GAMEPLAY:

As before, we take control of Isaac in a 3rd person, over-the-right-shoulder view. As the game progresses, various weapons and schematics can be found. We can also find power nodes for weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, and more.

We're not confined to the Ishimura anymore, and Isaac has different objectives to complete each level. There isn't as much emphasis on puzzle-solving as we had in the first game...this was dialed back, and the amount of firefights with Necromorphs has clearly increased.

Though it's been 3 years since the last game, Isaac remembers that shots to the body only stun, and even decapitations are ineffective...and in some cases, make Necromorphs more dangerous. He's ready to strategically dismember each enemy until there's nothing left but a bullet-riddled mess.

A power-up called STASIS can be used to freeze Necromorphs while Isaac uses them for target practice/dissection, and another power-up called KINESIS can bring objects to Isaac or hurtle them away with lethal velocity. I LOVED the tweak in gameplay where Isaac can use kinesis to rip a bladed arm off a dead Necromorph, and impale another enemy against the wall with it. This is also a great way to save ammunition.

Players still have the in-game store to buy and sell items; and the upgrade Benches are back to maximize effectiveness for weapons and armor. There's been an additional tweak: if you spend 5000 credits, you can remove all the power nodes from one weapon and assign them to another.

Mercifully, the game still spoon-feeds us objective locations, store locations and save points by using the R3 button.

Dead Space 2 also increased the number of zero-gravity areas, where Isaac can jump off the floor and use suit thrusters to propel him towards his objective.

When you play through this game on the easier settings, you might think you've got it made. However, when you try playing on Zealot mode, that's where you have to carefully plan out each attack so you don't run out of ammunition. Hard Core mode cranks the difficulty level up for seasoned players...you can only save 3 times across the 15 levels of gameplay, and there are no checkpoints. If you die, you go back to your last save point.

MULTIPLAYER:

This is a new addition to Dead Space. These are team-based matches, which last 2 rounds. You can play a Necromorph trying to keep a team of humans from reaching their tactical goals, or you could be a human trying to cleanse a path through a vicious pack of Necromorphs.

HOW ABOUT THAT EXTRA GAME, DEAD SPACE: EXTRACTION?

This was a VERY pleasant surprise. A port from the Nintendo Wii, Extraction takes place prior to the events of the first Dead Space game, and it's played in a first person rail-shooter view. If you don't have a Playstation Move controller, the game can still be played with a DualShock controller. However, since there's virtually no lag while shooting with the Move, that's what I prefer using.

There are 10 levels to play, and there's a large replay value because of all the extra powerups and trophies you can earn. If you're on the fence about buying Dead Space 2, I think this additional game will tip your scales to the "purchase" side. You're basically getting 2 full games for the price of one.

TROPHIES:

Trophy lovers, now is the time to REJOICE. Dead Space 2 has 51 trophies to earn (8 more if you purchase the DLC pack), and Dead Space Extraction offers 48 additional trophies.

Many of the trophies are earned for completing chapters of the game, using certain weapons to kill Necromorphs, and so forth.

Without a doubt, the hardest trophy to earn is to complete the game on the "Hard Core" difficulty setting. You can only save 3 times throughout the course of the entire game. Your skills will be pushed to the ultimate limits, as well as your patience. If you manage to complete this task, you are rewarded with a ridiculously overpowered weapon that will make all subsequent playthroughs as easy as falling off a log.

CONS:

The first Dead Space game had a very, VERY claustrophobic feel to it. The creaking of the ship's deck plates, the sound of Isaac's breathing, the sharp music changes when a Necromorph appeared, it was all designed to scare us to our core.

Even though I enjoyed Dead Space 2, I didn't get the same sense of all-encompassing fear as I did when I played the first game. There weren't many new monsters, and most of the fetch-questing was toned down in favor of more face-to-face combat. To me, it simply felt less scary and more predictable. I found the scare factor diminished with each New Game+.

The weakest part of Dead Space 2, by far, was the Multiplayer mode. In a nutshell, you play as either a Necromorph or a human. Humans will regenerate at one central spawn point, but if playing as a Necromorph, you can choose where you want to emerge from.

The problem is, the spawning is so slow that it paints a bulls-eye on your face while your online opponents turn you into hamburger.

Powerups can be earned as you accumulate experience points, which in turn increases your attack damage, but the matching of players is completely random and unbalanced. I played with a couple of other people that were levels 3 to 10, but a few of my opponents were upwards of level 20-30...This was the same problem with Multiplayer matches in TRON: Evolution. I found the Necromorphs were very slow and clunky to control instead of performing a slashing attack, I usually ended up jumping up and down in front of my opponents.

FINAL VERDICT?

While I enjoyed the harder difficulty settings and the addition of Dead Space: Extraction in this package, I didn't find myself as scared. Killing Necromorphs and upgrading my weapons and armor was fun, but the fear factor and the puzzle gameplay definitely felt like they were dialed back. I didn't get much enjoyment out of the multiplayer mode, but to each their own. However, if you like killing Necromorphs, you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of Dead Space 2.

Very good game, not "for a sequel", just a great game in general. Just as much if not more suspense than Dead Space (1), mixed with an awesome continuing storyline and cinematics, cool upgradeable weapons and suits, crazy monsters, everything you could ask for! Would definitely recommend.

The Limited Edition gets you an extra game, Dead Space: Extraction, which is kind of a prologue to Dead Space, and it's designed for the Playstation Move, though you can also use it with just the controller. It's not particularly awesome, but it's a cool little extra Dead Space experience!

Buy Dead Space 2 Now

Dead Space 2 is one of my favorite scary games included Bioshock. Dead Space 2 takes in space a engineer named Isaac had to fight a deadly alien race called the Necromorphs again. The Necromorphs are scary enough to make me jump and scream, deadly, and they come in many different kinds. Isaac had many different weapons like the deadly Line Gun, the kickass Contact Gun, and the Plasma Cutter, he had different armors like the badass Advance Suit and the Elite Suits after you beat the game and play a new game. Dead Space had beautiful graphics but they had many scary scenes like the brutal deaths by the Necromorphs and the infamous Needle in Eye scene. If you made one single mistake, the needle will become a drill like needle, stab Isaac in the eye and killing him. If you like scary games, Bioshock games and Dead Space trilogy games are the ones. Like in the alien games and films: no one can hear you scream.

The game is great, but this edition is only for serious collectors now. The limited Edition was great because it came with Dead Space: Extraction as a bonus. That game is now included free with the Dead Space 2 Greatest Hits edition, which is $30.00 cheaper at the time of writing. This is the original release, which has been discontinued; but its only difference from the Greatest Hits edition now is that the GH comes in a red case with a red label.

The original Motion Sports was released about a year ago for the Kinect. The concept sounded great--simulate real sports, and use realistic graphics to immerse the player in the game. And instead of using controllers, allow players to control the action with their body. Great concept, but the execution on the Xbox just fell short. By virtually all accounts it was underwhelming.

This year, Ubisoft is at it again, but instead they've released MotionSports Adrenaline for the PS3, Wii, and Xbox. Their focus this time is on six "extreme sports".

As you start each activity, you choose whether you're left handed or right handed, and then calibrate your Move controller by holding it at shoulder level, at hip level, and across your belt line, just like with Sports Champions. The controller accuracy and precision, not surprisingly, is pretty good. I wish I could say the same about the gameplay itself.

Here's my take on each "extreme sport":

1) Kite Surf: Here, you're kite-surfing. You hold the Move controller sideways (you only need one) and you "steer" by tilting your hands as if you're steering a wheel. You jump by holding the "T" button and raising your arms. You can get a speed boost by holding the "T" button and pushing forward. You can "strike poses" at various points (which they call "hitting tricks") and you can "collect coins" to earn points.

While the graphics were decent and the motion controls were responsive enough, it just didn't feel like a realistic experience. I was expecting more of a realistic "simulation", but but at the end of the day it just felt like a video game that I may as well have been playing with the Dualshock controller, as the Move controllers just didn't feel natural at all.

2) Mountain Bike: Here, you're mountain biking, but the controls for steering, jumping, and accelerating are exactly the same as with Kite Surfing. In fact, except for one part where you need to "steer" your bike through a tight turn they're essentially the same game. Again, the best way I can describe it is that it felt like a "video game", but between the controls, the physics, and various gimmicks like "collecting stars", it really draw me into the experience nor make me feel like I was immersed in the world of mountain biking.

3) Wingsuit: In this game, you're skydiving. The controls are slightly different for this one-you steer by holding your Move controller out to the side and tilting your body left or right. You can "drift up" by holding the "T" button and raising both your arms, and "draft down" by lowering both your arms. To speed up, you press the Move button. You have to contend with wind gusts and rock formations, and again you can collect points by striking poses and collecting coins.

This game lasted far, far too long and once again, and yet again something about the controls and the physics of the game was off and unrealistic. To be honest, even the silly "flying chicken" game in Wii Fit felt more like "real flying" than this did.

4) Climbing: This is a rock climbing "simulation". You're climbing the face of a mountain that happens to have "handholds" all over it. To climb, you grab onto a handhold by reaching out to it with your Move controller (whether to the side, or diagonally up) and making a "grabbing" motion. Some handholds will be out of reach, so you need to "flick" the controller to jump to them. To drop down to a lower handhold, you press the Move button.

This is one I really wanted to like, but at the end of the day the "flicking" really didn't feel like real rock climbing, plus half the time my motions wouldn't register properly.

I guess they wanted to add a little "excitement" to the game so there will be the occasional "earthquake", where if you have enough "adrenaline" stored up, you can press the "T" button for a "shield" which will protect you from them. Again, I didn't find the experience very realistic.

And worst of all, once you reach the top, you're not even rewarded with a view.

5) Skiing: I've been pretty harsh on all the games so far, but I found skiing to be the one bright spot of the game. Finally, I felt like I was really skiing. The controls were intuitive-you hold your Move controller in front of your like it's a ski pole and bend your body left or right to ski downhill. You can accelerate by intuitively pressing T and pushing the pole.

This is one I really enjoyed, as everything worked together-the graphics, the physics, and the intuitive controls. I even broke a sweat while playing. I only wish the others were more like it.

6) Kayak: With Kayaking, we're back to a rather unfulfilling experience. Again, the controls just don't feel very natural. You use the "steering wheel" method of steering. You can paddle by pressing the "T" button and moving your control like a paddle. But you can't do both at the same time (like you'd do in real kayaking). There are other oddities-you'll occasionally get swept into a whirlwind, and to escape you need to "strike a pose". Again, things like this kind of detract from the realism.

Here's a problem I have with all the games in general. With the exception of skiing, they just didn't feel realistic. For most of the games your on-screen character just seems to proceed on the course without any kind of effort from you, the only thing you really do is jump and steer to collect "coins". In this sense, it just feels more like a 3-D version of Pac-Man than an "extreme sports simulation".

To me, the whole point of calling this franchise "MotionSports" is to help us experience what playing the real sport must feel like. As I mentioned a couple times, for most of the sports the controls just weren't realistic and it almost feels like the game was designed for a Dualshock controller and the Move controller was just thrown on as an afterthought, and not a very good one at that. For example, instead of making me press the T button and throwing my arms up to make me jump, why couldn't they just--make me jump?

Something else I didn't really like were unrealistic gimmicks in the game such as striking poses and collecting coins. To me, it just felt like the developers knew their simulations weren't very good, so they added these things to make it feel like you're accomplishing something. I wish there were more simulation games like Sports Champions, where your reward is playing the sport itself, not collecting points.

Finally, one very, very annoying part of the game is the Degree ads all over the game. I don't mind a little product placement when it's subtle and even tongue-in-cheek, but if a company is going to get a sponsor to plaster their logo all over the game, then for heaven's sake don't charge $49.99 for the game.

I hate to say it, but I just can't recommend MotionSports Adrenaline. If you're a die-hard fan of any of the sports, you may enjoy the graphics and the concept of being able to somewhat simulate the sport. But from a "fun" perspective, with the exception of the skiing game I really didn't find any of the games compelling enough to even play more than once or twice. There wasn't even very much of a workout component, something I was really hoping for when I first picked up the game.

In short, what could have been a innovative foray in the world of virtual reality sports just ended up being just another tired video game that happens to support motion controls. Here's hoping that if there's a third version of MotionSports, Ubisoft spends more time investing in making it more realistic and immersive.

This game consists of moving characters along 3+ horizontal tracks to advance, along with exciting moves like 'throw your hands up to jump', and 'throw your hands forward to boost'. Even children are too discerning to voluntarily spend their time doing this. The lack of precision in controller response will make you consider sending it to an enemy as a cruel prank.

Bad Ubisoft! No!

I rented this game and I'm actually finding it fun so far. At $50, you'd be getting ripped off. At $16 (the price it's at while I'm writing this review), it's worth it. Kite surfing, wind suit jumping and skiing are the most fun. I also enjoy the mountain biking although it's somewhat tough to get gold in all events and kayaking is fun too. The only event I really hate is the rock climbing. When I "flick" my joystick to climb, about 25% of the time the game doesn't respond meaning I can't get a gold medal on any of the climbs so far.

From a trophy hunter's perspective, the game is easy. I'd advise against renting it because there are some trophies that may take you up to 7 days because of how unpopular the game is but I mean if you're on Amazon, you're likely looking to buy anyway. The game is by no means going to blow you away. I'm however quite entertained with it and although climbing is annoying, all the other events are quite fun and the game is very easy to pick up on. I haven't even tried it with the move controllers yet, just the dualshock. There's a bit of replay value in the game, trying to beat your scores and such but eventually you're going to set scores you can't beat and there's only 2-3 different courses for each event so you're fairly limited there. The game provides about 10-15 hours of enjoyment so at about $1/hour of enjoyment, it's worth it in my opinion. Plus if you buy now and you don't like it, you can likely get about what you paid for it back because it's still fairly new.

In conclusion, nothing special but it's a good time killer. Somewhat entertaining, around $15-$20 is the sweet spot for the price however I wouldn't be surprised to see this drop to sub-$10 range within the next 6 months. Fairly easy trophies, co op mode for friends and family, playstation move compatible, all around it's not bad.
