THIS SKIN LOOKS GREAT ON THE OLD PS3(SORRY IT WON'T FIT THE NEW PS3 SLIM). IT SHOWS BATMAN WITH A BATARANG IN HAND AND THE JOKER ON THE OTHER SIDE. THIS SKIN IS JUST FOR THE TOP OF THE PS3. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY BATMAN:ARKHAM ASYLUM FAN.

As previous reviewer stated. This will only fit the old PS3 version(the fat one). That being said, this skin looks amazing and fits my PS3 perfectly. Placing the skin is an easy process that can be done in less than 5 minutes, but be sure to clean and wipe your PS3 completely before applying the skin.

Once on, you sill have access to all the necessary areas of your console, including the power and eject buttons. The SD card slot is also covered and is not obstructed by the skin.

All in all, this is one of the best skins I've bought so far. It doesn't leave any sticky residue or damage the glossy finish of the console. A perfect product all around.

Having played a few previous GTA 3 and GTA Vice City, I can say that I had never been impressed with Grand Theft Auto. Often, the open world would leave me bored as I would not be drawn into the story enough to keep moving forward. Combined with the time necessary to travel, repetitiveness of the missions, I felt as though I would never play open world games again.

After much time though, I saw the trailer for Grand Theft Auto V. The trailer looked stunning featuring planes, scuba diving, and multiple playable characters. After reading about the improvements Rockstar, the developer, has made in other games (Red Dead Redemption, Midnight Club, and LA Noir) I knew that it would be unfair to write this off as "just another GTA". Upon putting in the disc (PS3), you are greeted with an 8GB installation. This took about 15 minutes on my PS3 Slim, your mileage may vary though. The game immediately begins with the characters in a fantastic tutorial that not only introduces some characters, but also gets you intrigued by the plot early. The tutorial is interesting and fun, though the tutorial text in the upper left of the screen was hard to read on my screen (1080i on a 42" Plasma TV). This was easily supplemented / fixed by the print manual or the iOS "GTA Manual" application but did lead to an unnecessary death rather early in the game.

Upon playing this, you immediately will notice that many of the controls have been refined in comparison to previous GTA games. The shooting feels much tighter (it's easier to aim clearly and quickly, switching weapons is simple and doesn't get in the way), the driving is better (cars and trucks feel as though they drive like the type of car they are. Sports car handle amazingly while a tow truck is much slower and harder to maneuver). This makes for a much more enjoyable experience and thus far in my travels have fixed the issues I have had.

Unlike previous games, this also features one huge update, a quick save/autosave which fixes the need to drive for 15 minutes each time you fail a mission. Now, you can pick it back up and keep trying making the game more involved and less repetitious.

The graphics in Los Santos, the city in which GTA V occurs, are fantastic. Explosions feature depth and clarity, the characters are well detailed and thus far I have not seen any technical issues where textures appear randomly. The views from the different parts of the city are amazing as well, with nice sunsets and sunrise, beautiful villas, and more.

The audio is fantastic as well, featuring Dolby Digital surround sound, which uses all the speakers to create a wonderful and involving soundtrack. Whether providing off-screen directional cues, subtle background noise, or enveloping you in your favorite radio station, Grand Theft Auto V provides a wonderful soundstage.

Overall Grand Theft Auto V feels like a new game. With the revised controls, improved graphics, and new mechanics, I feel like this game address most if not all of the biggest issues I have with open world video games. The story thus far is captivating and enticing and is keeping me coming back for more. I would highly recommend this game even if you do not consider yourself a huge fan of previous entries into the series. I hope you enjoy this game as much as I am.

First off, this is NOT a game for anyone under 18! Honestly, I can be pretty crude myself, and this game was so shocking and so off-color at first I almost quit playing it. I had to remind myself that this game's intent is to shock and push the envelope, so I continued on and I am so glad I did. Once you get past the first two hours of the "shock" value, the story gets very good, the missions are fun, and even the crudeness dies down. (Mind you there are still parts that will make you cringe, however I think you need to be in the mindset that this game is trying to push your buttons (sorry for the pun). Once I got into the game, i played for 3 days, 10 hours straight and I am only 50% complete at this time. The game is HUGE, and you can always find something to do. I cannot warn you enough to not buy for your kids, even if they are mature; this is hard to take in even as an adult. Make sure you play where no one can hear you as if they don't know the content of the story, they will think you lost your mind or get offended.

If your an adult gamer, and have an open mind, you will love this game.

Game is fun, blueprint map is high quality and had a nice little secret on it, metal case looks great. The in-game items aren't that great and are a bit of a letdown but aside from that the whole package is fantastic.

GTA V for me isn't like other games such as the Last of Us or Halo, because while it does have a central story the majority of the memorable moments I had came from just messing around in the game doing your own thing and just having fun experimenting. I've put my thoughts below on each aspect of the game.

STORY

GTA V takes place in a fictional Southern California with some bits of Nevada thrown in to round things out. You experience the story from the perspective of 3 central characters: 1) Michael, the retired bank-robber being pulled back into his old life, 2) Franklin, the street hustler who's got dreams of moving up into the big-time, 3) Trevor, the sociopath drug-dealing best friend of Michael from his bank-robbing days. The general story takes place with the 3 characters all being brought together by bigger events that keep adding up as you play the game. The execution of how the characters are portrayed feels accurate, and its fun getting to have such different mission types between the 3 characters. There is now the option to retry missions and try things out differently next time too with gold rankings to shoot for in each. And don't worry about getting frustrated over some levels which have annoying sequences that you just can't get past fail a part of a mission 3 times and you get the option to skip it. While the storyline itself was sound in terms of game design, I felt that it frankly wasn't a very original story and at times to me felt predictable and cliche. This goes back to my main point that the best part of GTA V isn't the campaign story, it's everything else it's got to offer.

GAMEPLAY

The dynamic switching between the 3 characters really adds a new layer of immersion and variety to the gameplay. Each character starts out with their own skillset, and kind of like Skyrim the more you perform any given activity the better you'll get at it. You drive more to improve your character's driving ability, take flying lessons to get better at flying, run/bike/swim more to build up your stamina, etc. It feels like a very natural process and kind of gives the player goals to work towards as you play the game. The shooting mechanic by default comes with a very generous auto-aim, that makes the game almost too easy in terms of combat, though you can change this. There is a great variety of weapons this time around, with plenty of customization and a shooting range to try them out on.

Driving in terms of technical game design is built fine. The main issue comes from the cars that you have available to use. In fact there are only a handful of cars I even bother looking for to drive because the rest handle so poorly. Part of that I get is by design, since a prius isn't going to handle corners like a dodge viper. Still, I can't help but feel like a lot of the cars I expected to be great to drive felt like a mess on the road (I'm talking about cars like the Diablo aka. Lambo rip-off). I even maxed out my driving skill to make sure it wasn't something missing on my end, but my experience with the cars has been a unfortunate mixed bag. I am very happy with the few cars I did think handle well, and upgraded them immediately and haven't had many issues since then. I personally absolutely hated flying other vehicles like helicopters and especially planes, but I didn't really spend much time practicing flying either.

Special abilities for each character keep things fresh, with Franklin getting a mode where he can slow things down while driving and make precision maneuvers, Trevor getting a rage mode where he can take more and dish out more damage, and Michael getting his own combat boost too. All in all, the gameplay is sound mechanically though it doesn't exactly do much to stand out aside from the special abilities either (which you could argue are borrowed from previous games like Max Payne and others).

SIDE MISSIONS/RANDOM EVENTS

This was by far one of the more engaging parts of the game for me, mostly because of how ridiculous some of they are. Side missions range from the standard stuff like assassinations and street races to new ones like bounty hunting, Trevor's "rage" missions, stealing celebrities clothing, to paparazzi stalking. Side missions are often unique to specific characters, and encourages you to try out and advance each character through each one. I frankly loved them because of just how ridiculous they were and how different they are from the standard stuff you've seen in previous open-world games including previous GTA games. The dialogue and banter on these kinds of missions is just great, and really adds a lot to flesh out the game and make it more immersive. There are also random characters you can encounter that give you some of these side activities and missions (again, specific to each character) and there are also random events that happen like robberies or car thefts that you can choose to intervene in or not. This is very similar to what Rockstar did in Red Dead Redemption with random strangers asking you for help on the road-side that you can choose to help or ignore. You can even stop a thief and keep the stolen money for yourself if you want.

HEISTS

The big heists are what are always shown off in the game trailers, and they are definitely plenty of fun because of the planning you have to do before you can pull it off. You get to do everything from picking your crew, opting for the more qualified but higher cost members or going for the cheaper ones of questionable quality. Even how you set-up the heist matters, and will give you different results/rewards based on how well you pull things off. It gives you a great reason to go back and try things differently with a replay, and frankly makes it feel like a more authentic experience similar to most crime movies. The great set-piece moments keep things fun, though like most things they lose a bit of their luster after you've seen it the first few times. I love the fact that you can switch around between the characters on the heists, and see things from a different perspective and always get to try out the really cool parts of each heist that each character gets to do. Not much else I can say about the heists beyond this, since I want to keep this fairly spoiler free.

IMMERSION/THE WORLD OF GTA

Rockstar did a fantastic job recreating Los Angeles, speaking as someone living in LA right now. All the big recognizable landmark locations are there, from the Griffith Observatory to the Promenade and the Hollywood sign. When I say they have it down, I mean I was able to literally walk to the exact area where I took a picture at the observatory overlooking downtown, down to the staircase and pillars. They did their homework, and it absolutely shows in several parts of the game. There are lots of activities to do including shopping, tennis (one of my favorites), yoga, golf, hunting, marathons, mountain biking, flying, shooting, etc. There's plenty to keep you entertained for a while, and that's not counting other things like playing the stocks or buying up real-estate. I love how tied together the world is, and it feels like you're living in a continuously moving world that's reacting to your actions. For example, if you lets say go out of your way to deface/devalue a company and buy up stock in their competitor you can catch the news to see stock prices jump around and reap the rewards. Even just switching between the characters shows them going on living their lives when you're not controlling them. Trevor was driving around still in a semi-truck from a mission that he was in when I was playing as Michael.

It's the little details like that which go a long way to making you feel like Los Santos is a living breathing world. Even just taking a walk around town and overhearing strangers can give you a good laugh, not to mention going in to see a shrink. It's because of how great a job Rockstar does with the little things that it makes it all the more apparent when they do drop the ball. There are a lot of buildings you can't go into, and plenty you cannot interact with. I went down to the Santa Monica pier and couldn't go into the main restaurants there, or go into many restaurants anywhere really. This isn't like Skyrim where nearly every person you run across has a story to tell. What GTA does offer is great, it's just a shame that after 5 years in development there's not more of it. The world size itself is huge, though to be fair the actual city part of it isn't exactly huge and sprawling. I appreciate all the wilderness and desert terrain since it adds some diversity in my opinion, but some people might find it boring.

GRAPHICS AND SOUND

The graphics are absolutely a solid step above GTA IV. But honestly compared to other games out today this isn't anything to write home about. I found the facial animations for anyone outside of the main characters to be very lacking in cutscenes and gameplay alike. But I understand that concessions have to be made to run such a huge open world without load times (except for the really long one when you first start it up). It's not an ugly game by any means, and there's a lot of great looking parts to it. It runs incredibly smoothly on what is now pretty old hardware for the consoles, and that's a great achievement. Rockstar clearly put in some serious time for optimization on the framerate front and it is much appreciated. It helps keep things rolling even in high action scenes unlike many other open-world games that start to chug.

The sound design is absolutely fantastic, from the radio station selections to the voiceover quality and variety. Rockstar clearly put in some extra money here and it shows, with the game always feeling authentic sound-wise from street sounds to cars to environmental noises in the wilderness. Rockstar absolutely nailed this, and I think it'll absolutely set a bar for future open-world games to hit. One slight downside is that listening to the same few radiostations means you're probably going to know every song the station can play pretty early on into the game. Not the biggest deal in the world, but more songs are always appreciated and they could easily be updated with new DLC content down the road too.

ONLINE/MULTIPLAYER

This is the main reason why I haven't given GTA a 5 star rating, because how GTA Online is going to play out is largely unknown. While based on the trailer it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, it's simply not out yet for me to pass judgement on and so I'm going to defer giving my final score until I see what Rockstar has to offer on this front.

WRAP-UP

GTA V is a lot of fun with a rich open-world to explore and keep yourself entertained in for hours on end. Is it perfect, no, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a lot to offer. It's the random crazy things that happen to you along the way that I remember most. Here's 1 of my most memorable moments. I started out driving down sunset blvd in a new mercedes SL that I just bought for Franklin since he just wrapped up a big heist and had some spending money. I got it all tricked out with the latest engine upgrades and a fresh paint job to top it off. As I pulled out of the auto-shop my screen flashed and the opportunity came up for me to stop a thief. So I did my civic duty and ran the guy down in my shiny new car and went to bring the poor guy his wallet. What ends up happening is a car I didn't see rams into me and pushes me into the poor guy waiting for his wallet and the police car sirens started to screech. I was already up at 2 stars and they were gunning right behind me. Thankfully I had my upgraded car to help me make a quick getaway at first, but then some cop cars slid around to stop me and I accidentally rammed right into several street cops at a barrier, up to 4 stars. Now the cops were really gunning for me, and I ended up driving up a parking structure all the way to the top to help avoid the chopper on my tail. I shot out the pilot of the chopper and saw it crash down into some more cop and FBI cars below, 5 stars. Only way off that roof was courtesy of a stunt ramp which I happily revved up my engine to take. After gunning it for the jump I ended up doing a flip and landing perfectly (completely by accident), and making my way to a construction site to hide out. I found a nice little corner tucked away from site, and decided to go and check my stocks, make a few trades, and rush right back out to avoid the cop car getting a little too close. I end up making a run for the mountains hitting ever winding turn at near top speed thanks to my car's upgrades. I see a nice place in the woods to go hide the car and watch the choppers and FBI scramble around to find me. Then I get out of my car, behind the "Hollywood" sign and take in the sights before making my way back to Franklin's mansion. That was all a completely unscripted random event, and though it doesn't always work out this neatly it sure it a lot of fun every time.

Want Grand Theft Auto V Discount?

What can you really say about the GTA series, every new title just steps the franchise up to the next level. I did not expect much from this game as I felt they had reached the max capabilities of the current generation of consoles, but my god did they prove me wrong. If you want to be truly awe struck just get the game, go to the beach and watch the water. It is so lifelike that you will be questioning if you are really playing a video game. Rockstar really did their homework with this one, it is a beautiful world that has plenty to do.

The story line and characters in the game are just as amazing as the enviroment itself, you really get drawn into the characters problems and you feel as though you have a lot on the line.

If you are looking for a game that has no limits, this is the one for you. San Andreas really is a world all of its own, you have the choice to do whatever it is you would like, from flying to driving, to jogging or yoga, this game really has something for everyone.

What is the best shooter game in the world Modern Warfare 2

Modern Warfare 2 is a good game for anyone who likes a good shooter game.

The campaign is ok but I think they could have made the ending better. Even though the last part is in modern warfare 3 but other than that it was good.

I play this game all the time with my friends online and just when they come over to play. What I wish I would have done is went and bought a headset so I could talk to some of my online friends and I also think you should get PlayStation Network so you can actually play online.

The graphics are very good but it is very gory at times like when you get shot or killed and it is very violent. I suggest that you should be older than 11 to play this game.

Some thing I really like about this game is that there is a lot of guns to pick from like the m4a1 assault rifle and the FAL and even the P90. Those are just a few of the many types of guns. There are 5 classes to create but I wish that there was even more to create. There are also a lot of attachments to put on your gun.

The reason I got this game is because I am a pretty big gamer and I needed a new shooter game and also my friends have played it and told me that I should get it.

Spec ops is very fun to do with your friend but I suggest you do it after you complete campaign mode first but that's not what my friends and I did but. I wish that I would have done first.

Overall I give the game a big thumbs up because I love to play this game whenever I can. I suggest you get this game right away.

This game that I purchased from Europe will not play on my U.S. bought PS3. When I put the game in and attempted to play it, a video output error code came on the screen (80028F10). I looked up the code, it means that the game will not play on SD video output. It only plays on HD video output. (In other words, the game is like a blu-ray dvd.)

Yesterday, when I came home from work I played this game for 5 hours. The TDU2 servers were down, so many of the challenges were unavailable. Nonetheless, I thought to myself Atari isn't ready for prime time. Next, my code for the Vantage V12 Carbon Black Edition didn't work. Well, today everything is fixed and it's a different situation. As soon as I came home from work, the code worked and online was available.

The reason I was initially dissatisfied with this game is honestly the 3 used cars that you can start with have low resolution graphics and are blocky looking. That's an undeniable fact. I drove my blocky car around, but I chose the mode where the car is invisible, so I just saw the speed/tachometer. As I started driving, the phone in my car rang, I was asked if I wanted to go to driving school. I accepted, and proceeded to take the Classic Mustang Challenge. I was so frustrated and couldn't wait to post bashing Atari. The truth is that challenge doesn't belong at the beginning of the game, and can frustrate someone beyond belief. The final challenge is to drive a classic Mustang (which fishtails, just like the real deal) around a track twice. I finally found out the trick, but I kept scoring 2:03 (maximum time is 2:00), but once I figured out the shortcut (between the 2 metal poles) everything was simple. After that, I got a haircut, checked out some houses, grew a goatee, and bought some new sneakers. It seemed a little cheesy at first, but if you enjoy Playstation Home, you'll enjoy this part of the game.

After I passed my first challenge of six races I won $50,000, and went to the Audi dealer. It's cooler than you think. You can sit in the car roll down the windows, etc. etc, just like you were buying a real car. You can customize the color, pay extra for nicer rims, etc. While I was in there, there were other online players buying cars, and the whole experience felt like I really bought an Audi. The car dealer really resembled a car dealership to a tee. And of course, true to it's name you can test drive any car before you buy it, even if you don't have any money, just like in real life. LOL

Physics: The driving physics are spot on, and can be adjusted through the options.

Environments: Ibiza, Hawaii, and off-road driving. absolutely breathtaking, and the graphics for the environments are high definition quality.

Automobiles: New automobiles at dealerships look phenomenal, and are highly detailed. Oh yeah, and make sure you get your car washed. In fact, make positively sure you get your car washed. It's not a car wash like GT5, and you'll see what a $1500 car wash looks like. A lot of pleasant surprises in this game. As I play this game longer and longer, I love it even more.

edit 2/18/11 :

so now Game Spot and IGN gave this game poor ratings. As I've stated there are parts of the game (especially tests) that could have been improved.

CHALLENGES-The trick to the challenges is to get the best car and have a lot of discovery points to upgrade to a Level 3. For instance, the Golf GTI handles horribly, but it's possible to get 2 better cars for the A7 test (keep going back to used car shop). The problem is one challenge of the six is always impossible. You can always end up with 1st place even if you come in 8th place for one challenge and 1st for all of the others. I've been on the forums and a lot of people are speaking of the problems with the challenges.

CRUISING GAME-Some people have said that this is a great "cruising" game, and I agree. It's truly relaxing to just discover 100% of the map. I started off with the A5 Audi convertible and I had a great time driving on asphalt, while driving Ryan's car offroad which is fully upgraded because of discovery points. Myself, as a big FPS fan thought that this would be a great filler game until KZ3 came out. I canceled my pre-order of KZ3 because I want to fully complete this game. It's really addictive. Currently, I'm on Level 13 and driving the McLaren from the A1 class.

GLICHES-I haven't had any glitches so far. IGN claimed that there was a glitch while they were "spectating" a race. I haven't seen any glitches yet, so that video baffles me.

This game is the type of game for the most part is non-competitive and relaxing. As Gamespot has stated in their video, there may be problems, but that doesn't make TDU2 a deal breaker. I could lower my rating, but a lower rating means many gamers would be missing out on a fun experience that they'd never have. It's okay to nitpick, but in terms of fun, this game is a must-buy.

UPDATE: Feb 20,2011. Not a good day for the servers today. I actually enjoyed myself immensely trying to explore Ibiza offline. I discovered 99% of Ibiza 2 (100% of Ibiza 1), and couldn't find the last 1% after 5 hours of zooming in the map, driving around etc. Finally, the servers were up later this afternoon and something was seriously wrong. The game was unplayable. The screens would show every other second of game-play. On top of that I couldn't sell my Audi SUV that I purchased from PSN. I was stuck with an off-road vehicle as my primary vehicle. The server issues has to be fixed. This is unacceptable. What's going on? This honestly is the most fun I've had in a while playing a video game. It's becoming harder and harder to recommend this game Atari. Please get these issues fixed.

This game definitely has its flaws. To be quick, it more suited for someone who likes GTA: San Andreas without the violence. You get to go get a haircut, try clothes, buy houses, and test drive cars. You also get to go off roading. GTA san andreas was very similar in those ways especially the huge islands. If you like the arcade style racers and the ability to just cruise, you will love this game.

If you want a gran turismo 5 handling experience, don't look here. It is almost impossible to execute and fishtail, drift or just cornering is very artificial. That is the downside. Graphics are pretty good however sometimes bogs with multiple players.

I wouldn't pay over $30 for this until they fix the handling issues. If you just want to have fun then this is a great game. Just don't expect realistic handling.

Don't mind the other reviewer if you read it all he talks about is spinning out and hitting stuff... Something tells me he just flat out can't get the controls down etc. To start there is 3 modes of driving. There is a Casual mode for the Casual Racing fan, Sport mode which takes some assists off and is more challenging, and Simulation type mode which has no assists. With that being said, maybe he should try some different modes, I recommend Casual for him, I am using Sport and you do need to control your gas pedal and brake pedal, Obviously if you hit a corner at 100mph your probably not going to make it...

Enough about steering...

Lets talk about game play, The game play is done well, with a generic racing event which you must compete in.

There are some interesting moments during playing, sometimes things would get goofed up etc, just little bugs.

ONE thing I did notice was a 300+mb Update when I installed this on day one of release!

Good racing game to hold you over for NFS Shift2 :P

Great Online racing also, Had alot of fun seeing others just cruising around in real time!

Garage function is neat, along with the houses you can purchase.

Offroad/Onroad Is fun!

There is no action or adventure... it's a couple of mini games, like throwing a ball at a target, it's the worst game I've ever bought my kids.... If anything, GET TOY STORY 3 INSTEAD!

Played this game in WDW and loved it. (It's one of the more popular rides in Hollywood Studios.)

When I saw this on another website, I knew I had to buy it for my girlfriend. We've played it for well over 20 hours, so far, with no end in sight.

Great game. Well worth the money.

Also, as stated in the headline: you DO NOT NEED to have a Move controller to play this game. (There are a few times when you might benefit from it, but I got all of the trophies without any real trouble using my standard PS3 controller.)

Buzz! Quiz TV was my introduction to Buzz Quiz. I fully enjoyed that game and found it to be perfect for parties, family events or having fun when I feel like playing a game that uses my knowledge against opponents rather than my virtual bullets. This year, Buzz! Quiz World has come along and instantly taken the place of Quiz TV.

Buzz! Quiz World

9/10

The Good:

+ Buzz! Buzzers are simple to use for everyone, with 4 colored buttons and a big red buzzer.

+ Slick new presentation with improved visuals all around.

+ Player Profiles allows individual stat keeping.

+ Much improved online gameplay over Quiz TV.

+ Works with all the Quiz TV Quiz packs I had bought.

+ The categories are improved and many new game types.

+ Customizeable game types allows you to pick your rounds.

+ Buzz is less repetitive in his remarks, yet every bit as cheeky.

+ Buzzers come paired to the receiver out of the box, requiring no set-up.

The Bad:

Characters from Quiz Tv seem to be absent.

Still no custom character editor.

Only features English, no Spanish or French language options.

Buzz! Quiz world does what few games can do Please all ages and types of gamers and non gamers at once. I have played an 8-player game with children, teens, twenty-somethings like myself and older adults. Buzz! managed to pull everyone in so we were all crying foul as the current winner answered correctly. It is so perfect for anyone that likes socializing.

With Quiz world, many of my complaints with the Quiz TV have been addressed. For starters, you can now customize what rounds you play. Don't like the pie round? Now you can turn it off to make a custom game suitable to the group playing. Many people I play with complain about the Final Countdown round (which now plays the titular song by Europe) and you can even cut that out. Quiz World also features several new rounds such as Boilng Point, which gives the points to the first player to answer six correct questions.

Buzz now personally addresses player by asking you to pick from a list of names. It goes a long way and makes it feel more like you really are in the game and Buzz is more than just a virtual muppet. Also, this allows tracking of individual profiles, and Buzz remembers your tendencies. For example Buzz said to Kevin, one player who is frequently winning but had fallen into 4th, "Kevin, good to see you back at the top where you belong" after he had regained the lead in one round.

It's many of these small little details that really adds to the longevity and overall fun a game offers. At the end of every game, Accolades are given. It reports who was the fastest buzzer, who had the most right answers (which doesn't always equate to a win), who had the least and who got to pick the most categories just to name a few.

For those like me who had a Quiz Tv bundle, it makes sense to buy the Quiz World bundle to finally have 8 buzzers. It comes with buzzers identical to the buzzers included in the Quiz TV Bundle. Sony doesn't seem to sell buzzer pack seperately in the US, so it is required to buy another bundle to have 5-8 players. When you do wish to use 8 buzzers, you will need to use both dongles, as each dongle supports 4 buzzers.

An 8 player game of Buzz! Quiz is a great experience, but Quiz TV had made it lite on rounds and features. Thankfully, Quiz World now allows full games for 8 players too, whereas Quiz TV only had 3 round 8 player games. This may not sound important, but it really does make the game more interesting to have it more than 3 round if you 'd like. Now you won't have 7 other people surprised the game is over already.

Another area where Quiz World shine is the online mode. You can now play with 1-4 people on the same PS3! In Quiz TV 4 people could play, but would all control the same character. Quiz World gives everyone control over their own character and allows up to 8 players to play online on multiple PS3s, or 2 if you have 4 players on each one. Of course, it still features My Buzz quizzes so you can create and share your own custom trivia packs.

The only thing I would like to see Buzz! add is more characters to choose from, or even better the ability to use PSN Home avatars or create your own character to use. There needs to be more characters for practical reasons too. In the instance that you have 5 females players or more, some will have to choose a male character. It's a minor gripe, but something they could have easily remedied by at least including all the characters from Quiz Tv. Where are Cave Girl and Disco Man?

Overall, Quiz World is much improved and a worthwhile purchase for Quiz TV owners and those new to Buzz. You will most certainly be happy with. Just remember to pick up 8 AA batteries and then go get your Buzz on.

If you are sick of watching your kids shoot people and want a game everyone can enjoy, then this is for you!

This is one fun game! The wireless buzzers are great. The format of the games are lots of fun and the characters are very custimizable. Buzz calls you by name. There are almost 5,000 questions on the disc so you will probably go for quite a while without repeats. Players can also add questions, so the possibilities are andless. Also, there are more sets of questions on the Playstation Network you can purchase.

Buzz even has online "sofa vs. sofa" so you can play against people online. Up to 8 people can play!!! Overall this game is WELL worth the money! Very fun!

We've been having our Friday get togethers for many year now and when the first Buzz game came out for the PS3, it added a lot of fun to our Fridays, but the thing that lacked was only 4 person support, now with Buzz Quiz World, if you have the previous version, you can play up to 8 people at once, which lets everyone get in on the fun.

Like another reviewer said, this game is improved in every way, there's now MANY different categories, we've played this for many hours already and are still getting lots categories coming up that we've never seen before which always makes it nice. There's a few different rounds, but I think my only complaint about the rounds would be that in 1-4 player mode, there's more round types and they're all random, but in 5-8 player mode, it's always the same rounds at the same time, which really isn't a problem, it'd just be nice if there were more 8 player rounds and it'd be mixed up a little for when your group plays 5-6 games in a row.

On characters, I love how the game now saved your character statistics and at the end of the game, it'll go through and show fastest finger, most questions answered correctly, most wins ever, etc.. Also when you start a new game, it'll use information from them in the character introductions like say "The reigning champion" or "This guy plays buzz more than me", ha ha. On the characters themselves, there's some nice additions to the cast, I just wish they would've added a few more or kept some of the old ones like the nerdy guy, afro guy, cave girl and rocker, which are no longer available. The new ones are fun though, like the old lady that drops her dentures or the guy in the lizard suit, ha ha.

Another nice improvement about the game to is that the lowest person in point total isn't always the person to pick the round, it does mix it up, like the person that drops the most in a round will pick, so you don't have to worry about the person that's always on the bottom picking every single category.

One thing I wish about the game was that there was more single player games, currently on this one, it's just you answering straight questions to get a score, which it does save and others can try to top it, it would've been nice if you could play against a couple of computer players. I guess though, that's what Playstation Network is for, you can always find someone on there to play against.

Overall, this game is great fun ! If you bought the first Buzz game on the PS3, you NEED to get this one, you'll love it. If you never tried Buzz before, this is your time to pick it up and dive into the fun.

I purchased this game a year ago for my wife for Christmas. We have only played the game 3-5 times and pulled it out to play on our new tv the other day. First game worked fine. When trying to play the second game the controllers would no longer connect. Changed the batteriess in the controllers which didn't help. It seems that the usb dongle that picks up the signal from the controllers has gone bad. No problem right? WRONG! I searched the internet high and low and could not find a replacement and after emailing Sony support, the only answer seems to be "purchase another set of controllers". That might sound easy but they are not available as a stand alone accessory either! I'm not sure what people that buy just the game without the controllers are doing. Sony says they can replace it under warranty (only 90 days!!!) but can't tell me where to buy a new usb dongle to operate the contollers. I've read that the old wired controllers from the PS2 will work and seem to be available on Ebay pretty resonable.

If you buy this game and it stops working YOU ARE SCREWED!! Here is your warning!

Great family game when it works though.

Like many of you, I spent a lot of money for my LCD TV several years ago. When Sony announced their firmware update that allowed for 3D gaming and viewing of 3D Blu-Ray movies, I was tempted to buy another widescreen TV, but couldn't justify shelling out a few thousand more dollars for it. 3D would have to wait.

Sony did something clever with this product. They bundled a 24" monitor with 3D glasses, the game Motorstorm Apocalypse, and an HDMI cable and priced it under $500. Suddenly it was a lot more affordable.

The monitor comes packaged in a large box with a carrying handle (another benefit of ordering a smaller TV is that you don't need a crew of people to carry it upstairs). There's a slight amount of assembly required, which is a snap (literally). You attach the monitor to the stand and the stand to the base. Then, you just plug it into AC (the power cord is only about 5 feet, which was a bit small for my needs), and then plug the HDMI cable from your PS3 to the unit.

It took me a while to find the power button, which is on the back of the unit to the right. There are six buttons in total: a power button, an input selector button (which switches between two HDMI connectors and one set of component (yPbPr) connectors), two volume buttons, a menu button, and a 3D button. They're all pretty generically shaped and lined up in one column, but to help you out an on-screen diagram will pop up when you press one to make sure you're pressing the right one. From the menu you can adjust the picture, including Backlight (0 to 10) and Picture Mode (dynamic, standard, cinema). You can also define a custom picture mode, setting your own brightness, contrast, color, hue, sharpness, and color temperature. It can be quite a pain to adjust menu settings with the buttons behind the unit, but you get used to it soon enough.

The PS3 recognized the monitor immediately. I was pleasantly surprised by the crispness of the display. The colors and clarity on the LED display were definitely deeper and crisper than my current LCD TV. Likewise, the sound was powerful (it has 2 channel stereo output at 3W and a subwoofer at 5W built in).

The 3D glasses come in a separate felt pouch, and the lenses come protected with some plastic over them (you pull off the plastic with convenient pull-tabs). It took me a while to figure out how to turn them on--there's a power switch on the inside for "battery" and then a separate power button on top, both of which need to be switched on. I was very happy to see a micro-USB connector on top (you need to pry open a little door to see it). I was afraid that like other Sony 3D glasses it'd be powered by a watch battery, but it looks like these glasses can be charged. Note that the connector is a smaller micro-USB connector and not a mini-USB such as the one used to charge the Dualshock and Move controllers. But happily there's a small USB-to-micro-USB cable included. I wear glasses, but the 3D glasses fit comfortably over them.

I popped in the game "MLB: The Show 11" to test it out. No 3D. I went to the menu options, and the 3D option was greyed out. I finally realized that I had to go to the PS3 menu under "Settings", and select Video Output Settings > HDMI > Auto and set the screen to 24 inches before 3D would be enabled. Once I did that I returned to the game where now I saw all kinds of new disclaimer screens I didn't see before referencing 3D.

Within the game, I adjusted the 3D settings. The first settings I tried had a lot of ghosting. But by adjusting the sliders a little I finally got a picture that was absolutely perfect. I wish that Sony had a "universal" setting instead of having us control it game-by-game, but bottom line, if the game developer did it right you will have control over the depth of 3D you can see.

Next, I tried a 3D Blu-Ray which I happened to get today in the mail, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. The disc started up and went right into 3D mode, with the opening menu gloriously popping out of the screen. It was a clean, crisp picture with no ghosting as far as I could tell. As is typical with these active 3D glasses, the picture was very dark even with the backlight set at maximum (it's like watching a TV screen with sunglasses). But if you sit close enough to the TV and/or adjust the menu settings, you should find a viewing setting that's comfortable.

Last, I tried connecting it to my laptop, which happens to have an HDMI output jack. To my delight, I was able to go to YouTube's 3D channel, play videos with the "side by side" viewing method, adjust the 3D mode of the TV, and see the videos in full 3D! Not surprisingly, the picture quality, resolution and color fidelity were excellent. I hadn't planned on it, but I will be most likely be making this my second computer monitor of choice.

The set does support "SimulView", which allows two people to play a game watching the same screen with both players seeing their own (2D) view of the game. I wasn't able to test because I didn't buy a second pair of glasses (which is kind of pricey at $70), but I'll update this review once I do.

To sum up, I was honestly a little afraid that at this price Sony might try to push a cheap TV on the masses. But everything about this set screams high quality, from the crisp picture, to the 176/176 viewing angle (meaning that multiple people can be between 2-8 feet from the screen and still see perfect 3D as long as they all have the 3D glasses), to the 5000:1 contrast ratio and 240 Hz refresh rate. Aesthetically, it's quite gorgeous too--the black, polished screen really looks distinctive, especially next to the sleek lines of the PS3 itself. And surprisingly, I put the 24" TV next to my 42" LCD and didn't really miss the fact too much that it was smaller (granted, I grew up watching a 25" cathode ray tube TV).

The one possible caveat I'd have about this set is what I'd have about all 3D sets--there are some people who might experience some mild-to-severe nausea. For this reason, I'd recommend you play at a friend's house or spend a good couple of minutes in front of a store display to make sure you're not one of those who are affected. For me, I experienced a tiny bit of nausea, but I'll admit that the coolness factor definitely made up for it. Worst comes to worst, you can switch off the 3D and still have a very high quality LED display.

One other thing to note is that this isn't a "TV", as there's no TV tuner. But with the extra HDMI connector, you can easily plug in a TiVo or a cable box. Ironically, I also plugged in an Xbox 360 using the component cables, and that picture looks crisp as well.

Long story short, if you've been tempted to try out 3D, this makes an excellent entry-level display.

Unfortunately, I have to end my review with a couple words about Amazon. I have always been blown away by Amazon's customer service and I routinely pre-order games and systems from them. In this case, I had ordered the PS3 Display back in September, because they promised that everyone who pre-ordered would get a free copy of Resistance 3. Lo and behold, like many of you probably did, I found out that my order was cancelled--my invoice of September had the correct price of $499.99, but some klutz in Amazon evidently repriced it after I ordered it at $4.99 and then $49.99. Because of this, my order was cancelled. I called their customer service, and the rep "Bill" was very kind and understanding, but said he had to "check with his manager" to see what he could do. A few minutes later I get a generic email basically telling me tough luck and that I should re-place my order--which meant I wouldn't get it for another few weeks AND I wouldn't get the free game. No apology or anything. Needless to say, I immediately drove to GameStop where they gave me the system and a free copy of Uncharted 3 to boot. My message to Amazon--clean up your act or you'll see a lot more people doing the same.

Around Black Friday there were sales of these screens for $299 at Best Buy and I almost went for one but held back and regretted it. A few days later the price went back up, of course. The regret just grew and grew. I had already bought an LG 23" IPS screen that was pretty good, plus some speakers, so I couldn't justify the extra expenditure. But I kept on going back to the BB website, seeing if this screen was back on sale. Well, Amazon showed this refurb unit for even less money and so I instantaneously bought it too impulsive? Maybe. And the delivery was incredibly quick next day. So not enough time for buyer's remorse. As it turns out, the screen arrived not only quickly but also in great shape, no dead pixels, packaged well and with the free Motorstorm game still sealed. There was even some charge in the glasses so you could use them straight away. And I must say, while I am generally skeptical about 3D cinema, for certain games there is an incredibly immersive 'wow' factor. Also, even for non-3D games the screen is extremely clear and the widescreen format is great for certain games like FPS Battlefield 1942 looks beautiful. We haven't tried seeing films or Netflix yet, but frankly I am delighted with this screen and will be selling my previous equipment this is neater, has good sound, fewer cables, includes HDMI and has a great resolution. I'm actively seeking out 3D games to try out, and the build quality is superb. Great stuff Sony you don't always get it right but in this case you have hit the sweet spot for quality and affordability. I was thinking about purchasing a huge 50" screen previously, but we don't watch TV. So having a smaller, beautifully designed screen like this, for the occasional 3D game or Blu-Ray, is a strange but pragmatic compromise. Recommended.

EDIT: It is now three weeks later. I think you know what to expect at this point. After being wowed by the display, and downloading Crysis especially to play in 3D (it still plays well after these years, and in 3D it's a dream)... well, the red light of death. Hadn't used it for a while, went to turn it on and... nothing, the lights cycled through colors but no display whatsoever. Usually I balk at Sony's high prices for electronic products but you know that at least the build quality is decent. Not any more how many hundred of people are complaining about this exact problem, the blank screen after a few weeks? This is gonna cost Sony in terms of brand loyalty as well as return shipments. A real shame I now have no monitor or TV in the house, and am wary of ordering another of these. I have changed my rating from 5 stars to 1. Very disappointed.

So much has been covered in other reviews that I'll just cut right to what matters to me.

I could probably qualify as a Sony Fanboy. I've had a PS3 since launch, had a VITA pre-ordered within 30 minutes of it showing up on Amazon and have a nice collection of other Sony electronics. I would love to give this 5 stars and use ZOMG Awesome at least 20 times, but unfortunately I can't.

Sony really hyped this up as a premium 3D display with stunning picture and sound. I think it fell quite short of the expectations Sony set for it. Overall, it's not a bad product, just completely overhyped.

First, the sound is really weak. I have a basic set of 2.1 computer speakers that absolutely blow it away. The sound is about typical for what you would expect for TV speakers. Unfortunately Sony led us to believe these would go far above the average TV speakers. I also don't notice any hint of a subwoofer. I use the new Sony PlayStation Headphones when playing PS3 games, but more on that in a bit.

Second, glare. If you have a light source behind where you're sitting the glare will be so bad you won't be able to see through it to see the screen. In my case, when using the 3D glasses, I was getting bad glare reflecting both on the screen and on the inside of the glasses. I can only use the 3D enjoyably when I'm playing in a completely dark room.

Third, either I have a really big head or the glasses are made for teenagers. The pressure on the ends of the arms of the glasses is so tight I get pain and headaches after 30-45 minutes of use. By an hour it's unbearable. I understand you don't want them to fall off, but it's not like I'm going to be wearing the glasses while riding a roller coaster. What's even worse is that I use the PlayStation Headphones while gaming. Trying to use the headphones and the glasses is really difficult. I can tilt the ends of the glasses up slightly but then the glasses are even tighter on my head. Granted, both things are competing for the same physical space, but I think if the glasses weren't so tight I could more easily find a comfortable position.

Last, I'm not impressed with this display as a computer monitor. I'm running it in a dual display with a LG IPS monitor. The PlayStation Display doesn't even compare. The text is really pixelated and fuzzy, although it seems to be getting clearer the more I use it. A lot of my programs have an all white background and on the PlayStation Display the white background doesn't look even across the whole monitor. If I move my head areas of white get lighter and darker as I move.

So far I've only had this happen when being used as a computer monitor, but infrequently the screen blacks out and then the picture comes back after 4-5 seconds. I've seen this in other reviews too I'm not sure what this means but this doesn't leave me with a lot of confidence that this monitor is going to have a long life.

In Conclusion, I think this is a decent product that Sony completely advertised wrong. Sony should have advertised this as an affordable (helped by now being $100 less) entry-level Playstation 3 only 3D display. Sure, you can use this as a computer monitor, or to hookup your Wii, but this is really meant to be used only with your PS3. It's an OK PS3 display, but it's not great. If it's properly priced and advertised an OK PS3 display can be OK and doesn't have to be a bad thing.

Given the seemingly disappointing launch of this product, it's probably safe to say we'll never see a larger 32" version. But if this is the best Sony can do, maybe it's for the best.

It is a shame that I have to write this, I love Sony, I really do, but people need to be warned and this product really needs to be taken off the market. The 3D display looks beautiful and has fantastic 3D effects. It is well worth the $270 I paid, but ofcourse there are too many problems to keep it.

A week and a half, that's all mine lasted before it started blacking out on me (this appears to be caused either by a power flux in the PSU or the HDMI is losing signal). At first the blackouts weren't a big problem, it took half a second for it to go black and come back and at most, you'd almost swear it was just your eyes blinking. But as the 2nd week went on, the problem not only continued to happen, but worsened, and quickly. The blackouts would last several seconds and started happening every 30-45 mins randomly. Some times it would go hours without one only to get 3 in rapid succession. This worsens even more according to other customer reports, to the point where the unit dies as soon as you turn it on. The Blue, Green, Red Light twice blinking problem which is about the same as the 360s RROD.

I took great care of this display as well, even coddled it a bit. I turned it off (something I've never been known to do with other TVs connected to my computers), I unplugged it (this is actually a recommendation via Sony support to someone on their 2nd display) and I kept it in a well vented area that had a temperature around 65 degrees F at all times.

Several people have speculated that this issue may be due to the PS3 being connected with a certain update. I can verify that this isn't the case, I don't own a PS3, so it was never hooked up to one. Some people thought this was a 'hard-shake' error and once again I can verify that it happened while compensating for those. Temperature wasn't an issue as stated above. Which really only leaves one possibility, the power supply.

I decided I was going to return mine for a full refund and it appears as if Amazon will be honoring that soon. But I urge people wanting to buy this, DONT! It has been 6 months and Sony has not fixed this, nor made an official comment. If you call their Customer Support, you are told that this is a rare issue, but if you look online, you'll see thousands among thousands of people all having this and even worst issues. I tried to find atleast one person who has had their display working perfectly for over 3 months, I couldn't find a single soul. Instead, I found angry customers who were on their 2nd display and some even on their 3rd and one guy who was on his 4th.

If Sony ever fixes these, I would be more than happy to buy another display from them, as stated above, the TV is marvelous and beautiful, I can only hope the $400 replacement I ordered can match it. As it stands, this TV is a poor result in their QA department not doing their job and should be marked as a disappointment to them as a company who prides themselves on being one of the great leaders in technology.

UPDATE: It even just happened writing this review...

UPDATE2: Came home from work (had the display turned off and unplugged), was going to package it up for my return, but I have a another day before UPS will pick it up. Within 10 mins, the display blacked out. Went nearly 2 hours with no problems and now has blacked out 8 times in 15 mins. Someone in the comments stated they have had theirs for 4 months, so I guess there are a few out there that are fine, but this is the first I've ever heard of someone going that long without problems. Also, I just wanted to add, I barely used the 3D. An hour here or there, so it's not like I wore it out trying to do 3D non-stop.

Want PlayStation 3D display Discount?

I am not writing this review because I hate SONY products, but its my true experience about this particular product. I have never bought SONY TV, this was the first one. After exactly 31 days of use this TV broke on my. When I turned it on the screen went dark and the red light just kept on blinking. I've owned many TVs in my life, but this is the first product to fail on me only after about 31 days of use.

I bought it from Best Buy and their return policy only lasts for 30 days, it comes with Sony's 1 year warranty, but I have been having some issue with that. Their CSR department is not very helpful on solving the problem. They will try to avoid sending you a new display, by making excuses. Even after 5 calls, they have managed to get away from giving me a replacement TV.

In short, please don't BUY this TV. It looks like a good deal on a 3D TV, but think of it like and investment of $250-300 only for couple of months. Sony did not honor their warranty on this TV for me, even after I provided all the purchase receipts and serial #s. I am attaching some links to prove that this is not minor occurance. Its seems like a 50:50 chance that your TV will break in 1 year. Please be wise and save your money. Don't buy this crappy product.

I've been waiting for this microphone patiently since it was first announced by Logitech ever so long ago. While the $80 price tag seemed a bit steep, the desire of having a completely wireless RockBand set and $40 in Amazon.com gift cards I earned doing internet surveys made the cost a little more reasonable.

I decided to use Amazon's trade-in service to take care of the remaining $40, and free shipping ultimately made it free, other than the time I used to do the surveys and 5 games that I could care less about. The trade-in service is pretty hassle-free. You select the games that you want to trade, print out the invoice and the paid postage-slip, pack it up, and send it off to process. I took care of all that on Thursday (June 11). They were received, processed, and my account was credited on the following Monday (June 15). I purchased through a Marketplace seller, which saved a little more cash at the cost of a slightly longer time to ship it. The total (with shipping) came to $71.94.

Now on to business... The microphone itself is significantly larger than the normal RockBand microphone. It's closer in length to the SingStar microphone, with a windscreen that is about 1.5 inches in diameter. Despite the increased size, its weight is not that much more than the RockBand mic, and it feels well-balanced once the batteries are in. The remainder of the mic is about the same width as the RockBand mic, so it easily fits into the same clip on my mic stand. The box also includes a wrist strap (mine had 2 actually), which attaches at the bottom near the antenna and should be helpful for preventing accidental drops.

The receiver also acts as a miniature stand for storing purposes, and it comes with a fairly long cord. Excess cord can be wrapped around the bottom of the stand, which helps counterbalance the mic when it is set on it. I had hoped that it would also be used to charge internal batteries within the mic as well, unfortunately it runs off of two standard AA batteries instead. The booklet claims a battery life of up to 20 hours, so battery changes should not be too frequent at least. I installed some of those fancy Energizer Advanced batteries (the ones which used to carry DLC codes), so it'll probably last even longer.

On my first trial of the mic, I simply fired up RockBand and synced the mic and chose a song. The mic appears to amplify to a higher volume than the standard mic, and its sensitivity was dead-on with the same settings that I'd been using for the RB mic. It had no trouble picking up my voice at all, and I could do percussion sections with a mere tap of the windscreen.

Next, I tried a range test. The booklet claims that it works up to 30 feet, and unfortunately my condo is not large enough for me to get that far away. It could easily pick me up in my tiny backyard, which is at most 25 feet from the PS3. I then tried going upstairs while singing, and got to the furthest point away in the house. It had no trouble picking me up through the floor and two walls (door open).

All in all, this is a very fine wireless microphone that requires no modding of any kind. Its price tag is admittedly a bit steep, but I suppose they can get away with that since it is the first quality USB wireless microphone that I know of available in the US. It claims to be compatible with the PS2, PS3, and Xbox 360, and may be used on RB, GH:WT, GH:M, Boogie, Karaoke Revolution, or the Sing It! games. I'd recommend it if anyone wants their RockBand 2 setup to be fully wireless.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Pros:

+ Works on the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Wii games I tried.

+ Also works as a wireless PC microphone.

+ Comes with 2 hand straps.

+ Simple setup.

+ Hollow base allows for cord storage.

Cons:

Not rechargeable, runs off two AA batteries.

Sensitive on "Star Power" during Guitar Hero games.

Wrist strap is not adjustable.

No support for Singstar games

The box doesn't mention it supports Wii games?

Well, it's rare these days to find a peripheral that works on multiple game systems, and I'm glad that Logitech has strived to please gamers for the Xbox, Wii, and PlayStation.

To start with, this is a very simple microphone to set up. I uploaded the 4-part instruction booklet that came with the microphone (you can see them under "customer images") and within no time at all I had the batteries in, the wrist strap attached, and was playing several different games on multiple systems.

First, I tried out Karaoke Revolution on my PlayStation 2 slim. It looks like I still have the stuff, since I scored Platinum on my first 2 songs.

The next game I tried was an older game called Life Line, a voice-command game. I thought this game only worked with a USB headset, but I was very pleased to find it worked with this microphone on both my PlayStation 2 slim and my PlayStation 3 systems. My voice commands came through loud and clear.

The last two games I played were Guitar Hero World Tour for the PlayStation 3 and the Wii, and Logitech's microphone worked for both games on both systems. I only played on the medium and hard difficulties, but that was enough for me to see it worked great. I even walked through another room while singing you know you're using a powerful peripheral when it registers a voice through 6 feet of drywall, wiring and utility pipes.

I personally didn't get to try this microphone on an Xbox, but from other reviewers it seems to work well so that's 4 separate video game systems this microphone works on, as well as my PC. Not too shabby!

The only cons I found were these:

In the Guitar Hero World Tour games, Star Power for the microphone is activated by either clapping one's hand against the microphone or pressing a controller button. Sometimes my voice would activate Star Power prematurely, and other times when I clapped my hand on the microphone it wouldn't register my singing for a few seconds.

The hand strap couldn't be adjusted this isn't a huge issue unless you're planning to do stage dives or other acrobatics.

I was baffled by the lack of support on SingStar games there are more than 30 titles between the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox and the Wii, and it's surprising that such a versatile microphone won't play any of them. To their credit, Logitech did mention that these games are not supported on the back of the box. Hopefully the next Logitech microphone will support these games.

Also, why would Logitech not mention that this microphone also works on the Wii? The box says " For PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 " that's a very LARGE customer base to ignore.

If you're looking for a microphone that can be used across multiple systems, this is the one to choose.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I received this Microphone in the mail and was eager to try it out on my 360 and laptop. Visually there is nothing special about the microphone; its looks almost identical to the Microphone that was included with Rock Band without the wire of course. However, even though its basic looking it does not look (or feel) cheap. It appears to be sturdy enough to take the occasional drop without it falling apart. From past experiences, I have never had any issues with Logitech products and I suspect this one will be no different. I have tested this with both Rock Band and GH:World tour and no problems with either game. In addition, I have no issues with the microphone cutting out due to interference or being out of range. Range is excellent and I'm able to go to my son's room and still have the mic function just fine.

Other than the steep price, I can't find anything wrong with this microphone. It works flawlessly with my XBOX games (no games to test it on with my PS3) and on my laptop when I use it with my Rosetta Stone software. The best thing about this is that it requires no drivers, all you have to do is plug in the USB transponder to your device and turn the Microphone on and your good to go; the batteries are even included!

The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the steep price, but if having a wireless mic is THAT important to you, then the price should not be an issue. In either case you should not be disappointed.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Logitech has done it again..this time with a wireless Microphone that is intended to be used with game consoles such as the PS2, PS3, Wii, and the XBox 360. However, it does much more....it works on both PC's and MAC's without any additional software installs. And now for the review:

Box Includes:

Logitech Microphone

2 AA Batteries (Thank you Logitech)

Two nylon hand straps. (use if you need them)

A base with a usb cable that attaches to your console/computer (essentialy the receiver and a stand for the mic).

Manuals (which I didn't even need to use to get started, but did read to see if I was missing anything.)

Xbox360:

**Note, couldn't test on a real game on PS3 since we don't have one, but device was recognized and usable.

XBOX 360: We have rock band for the 360 and my son is an addict when it comes to drumming, guitar strumming etc...he has his sister do the singing via a Logitech wired usb MIC made for the 360. Naturally the wireless model was a welcome change and has a bit more of a professional MIC look and feel. Off they went, tearing the roof off of our home and in the end it seemed that the performance of the microphone was on par with a wired model. In other words their scores were the same....the voice recognition worked as it should in Rockband.

Unfortunately we do not have any other games that can use a MIC, currently...but RockBand is pretty popular around here.

PC/MAC I am a cross platform user and naturally anything with a USB port has to be tested on my computers...I mean that's what a USB port is for, isn't it? So first I plugged the MIC in to my Windows 7 x64 machine and the drivers installed on their own. I went to the audio section and made sure the MIC was listed, which it was...as a Logitech USB Microphone. I did the usual tests of blowing in the mic, whistling, etc...perfect. More on the test below. Once I was satisfied with the PC I plugged the MIC into my Macbook Pro and voila, detected and installed without issue..same series of tests through the system preferences/sound icon. I am now a happy camper...but I only use a mic on my computers for Skype...so it was time to give it the ultimate test.

I made three lengthy phone calls and clearly explained to the other party that I was testing a wireless MIC and that I would be moving away from my computer at regular intervals. (2 of the 3 calls were on a PC and 1 on the MAC). I basically moved away from the computer at 2ft intervals for a total about 20' and clearly into another room. The callers actually said the voice quality was perfect, in-fact there was no loss in clarity and or volume at any distance. I could get very detailed here...but the summary is that it does work and it works flawlessly. Naturally walking 20ft away from a computer for a phone call is strange since you have to turn the speakers up to hear the other party.

(**The MIC does have a push button on it that acts to power on the device and power it off. It can also be used to pair the mic to the base station should they ever lose connectivity)

Logitech has another stellar product on their hands, and I would not expect it to be any other way. I will be updating the review to inform you of real world battery life. But for the time being this MIC gets a 5/5 in my book for the look, the feel, and the over all quality and compatibility that it offers.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Logitech's new microphone feels very close to a professional wireless mike. It's of the proper shape, weight and well balanced and it should be the better replacement for the lesser microphones you would normally use with games such as Rock Band. Anyone with a gaming console such as PS2, PS3, Xbox or Wii and a 'music' game may find this to be a useful addition to their gaming gear.

The good things about this microphone are:

+ It's wireless with range of about 30 ft.

+ Excellent voice reproduction quality.

+ Professional look, weight and balance

+ Batteries included

+ Goes into sleep mode if not used for about 15 minutes

+ Comes with 2 (TWO) wrist straps

+ Easy pairs with base

However, there's some room for improvement

Limited scope as it's not recognized by the PS3 outside of specific software packages.

As far as the 'singing games' are concerned, it is not clear which games are supported on which platform. There is a statement in small print indicating that SingStar games are not supported but I would be more comfortable if the list of supported games was available so one would know before making the purchase.

The USB wire connects to the base which would make it difficult to have it, let's say on a table. A better solution would have been some 'dongle' plugging into the USB and maybe an independent stand that's just a stand, untethered so that it could be placed anywhere.

MY EXPERIENCE

I only tested the microphone on a PS3 with Rock Band and it performed well. A wireless microphone does enhance the singing experience. I found the quality of the sound to be excellent. The microphone felt good when held and one feels truly free performing without having to worry about tripping on a wire.

EVALUATION AND RATING

While this is truly a quality microphone when used with a compatible 'singing game' Most prospective buyers may not feel comfortable not knowing in advance whether it was going to work with a specific game on a specific platform. Another problem is the 'stand' design. Having it tethered to the game console limits its utility as a stand where the microphone can rest.

I will round up the 3.5 stars to a 4 because of the fun we had while using it on a game that supported mike and we had not bothered with the badly-designed stand.

Note: I only tested this on a PS3 because it was the console on which I had a supported game. I did test on a computer because I couldn't think of any realistic circumstance where I would want to attach this microphone to any of my computers of which the vast majority (laptops) have microphones and cameras built in already.

I bought this as a secondary mic to complement the mic I received with Rock Band 2. This is nowhere near as good. This microphone is lightweight and feels much cheaper, plus the cord is several feet shorter. And unlike the RB2 mic, you can't hear yourself in the game at all (yes, I adjusted the volume settings in game).

This was a general disappointment and I would recommend finding an older mic instead.

Decent microphone, performs better than almost any other microphone we have purchased for our Rock Band games, this is our fourth microphone, the only quibble we have is with the short wire length of only 9.8' and the weight of the microphone, it is very light and I assume very fragile.

Outside of that the microphone performs rather well for now, I will update if microphone breaks down after a few weeks.

This is a very lightweight mic but it is very responsive. It does work very well in the game. The one drawback is that the cord is too short (9 ft.). Others may feel it is cheap or cheesey but do not be fooled Madcatz actually did a good job on this one.

It is exactly as the picture shows. Great extra microphone and it is compatible with every game out there so far. Good buy

As a wired USB controller, the microphone syncs well, and there is no lag when hitting the notes with your voice. But I can barely hear my voice when singing, even after turning the microphone volume up and the background voice down. A horrible echo exists in the microphone, too, and I have a pretty good speaker system, so I know it's not my speakers.

I returned this mic which I got at Gamestop and plan on getting another brand. It's too bad because this was created by Mad Catz. Maybe the "great for backup singers" slapped on the box is the reason why this mic feels so underpowered.
