I wasn't aware EASA2 came out yesterday and I decided to do something I usually never do: buy an expensive product without reading the reviews. Totally worth the gamble.

The game comes with two programs you can enroll in: a 9-week exercise program and 3-week cardio program. It's recommended that you start off with the 3-week one but I decided to jump into the 9-week one. You're also given a choice between 3 difficulty levels (which you can adjust at a later time): Easy, Medium, and Hard. I went with Hard and it definitely showed. It was a great 30 minute workout that had me sweating hard by the end.

I bought the PS3 version which uses three sensors that connect wirelessly to a USB peripheral. One goes on your left forearm, one on the right, and the last one goes on your right thigh. Setting everything up was a breeze and after I completed the avatar creation process (which you shouldn't expect much from if you're a heavy RPG player like me), I filled out some surveys for the in-game journal (for better tracking) and then proceeded with my first workout session using EASA2.

So far I've found the music tracks enjoyable but I'm probably going to make my own playlist and import it into the game pretty soon. The exercises are wonderfully paced and the mountain bike one is a lot of fun. You can make custom workout sessions and track all the progress you've made and create schedules and view your workout calendar.

All the data is stored on EA's servers and a lot of it is accessible from EASportsActive.com; the companion website is mostly functional but does have a few janky (buggy) moments. EA is not known for excellent launches (online stat tracking for Battlefield Bad Company 2 was an atrocious mess for the first few weeks), but you should expect excellent functionality soon.

If you're interested in doing this thing with a partner, the game features a 2-player mode if you buy another set of sensors (so far EA is only selling bundles) and that seems like it might be really fun. I don't have friends willing to shell out $110 on something like this but I can see couples getting a lot out of buying 2 bundles.

If you're even remotely interested in exercising at home without buying monetarily and spatially expensive equipment, then EA SPORTS Active 2.0 is the product for you. Recommendation based on the first day impressions? Buy it.

P.S. The bundle comes with a resistance band but neither the manual nor the game instruct you to put it together prior to starting your workout. Just when I was really getting into it, I had to pause the whole thing in order to set up the resistance band. It's a bit of a lame oversight on the developer's side, but definitely not a deal breaker.

I am a sucker for any product that's going to make my workout more fun. I own both previous version of this game, and faithfully ran out to get this one the day it was released. I am in good shape and have done intense workouts in the past such as p90x, so I consider myself an advanced exerciser. I am probably not the target audience for this product, but if you are like me, maybe this review will help you. If you are out of shape and don't exercise, go buy this product right now and start using it! If not, read on...

EA Active 2 is by far the best exercise video game available, so if you have already decided to get one, definitely get this one. However, compared to most other forms of exercise its still lacking, will annoy the crap out of you, and probably end up not being used. Some of the issues from previous versions have been improved, but there are still enough annoyances that you can't get through a workout without getting frustrated and slowed down by the technology.

Lots of people have written about the pro's and improvements so I'm just going to say what I think they left out. The program still gets stuck waiting for you to 'stand up and stay still' between reps of many exercises. Even when standing completely still I sometimes have to wait 10 to 20 seconds for it to continue. It is still too slow to register when you have gone into a position (faster than before, but still too slow!). The avatar tracking of any running type motion, including high-knees and kick-ups is still terrible. Sometimes it goes slowly while I'm running fast (and keeps telling me to speed up) and sometimes it runs extremely fast when I'm just doing a light jog. A lot of these issues could be caused by improperly positioned sensors but I am following the limited instructions that came with the game and have tried making many minor adjustments without any improvement. The warmup routine is improved, but still totally monotonous and is much more of a stretch than a warmup. I still end up jogging in place between stretches to get a decent warmup (not a big deal).

The pace of the exercises (even when its working right) is just too slow for my taste. Timing is probably the biggest issue preventing me from enjoying the workout. The 1 to 2 second pause between each rep sounds small, but ends up making me feel like I'm holding myself back the entire time. There is also a 10 to 15 second delay between exercises, ugh. It would be much better if this was adjustable. No other form of exercise (video, class, gym, home gym) has you waiting this long between each rep and activity. Good for beginners, not so much for people who already know what they're doing.

The bottom line is at the end of a workout I'm just annoyed and relieved its over, which is a horrible way to feel after exercising. I recommend you spend your money on something else, unless you're just looking for the novelty experience. I hope EA keeps working to improve it, maybe the next one will get right!

EA Sports Active 2 for PS3 comes with everything you need in the box. It doesn't use the move controllers. This is so exercises can be hands-free in case you wanted to use weights with some of the resistance routines.

If you are looking for an alternative to the gym or a personal trainer... I would recommend this over any other fitness title as it provides real exercises instead of routines where you can only wonder if you are getting an effective workout. The routines and programs in this software were designed by personal trainers.

You can have the software create a workout routine for you focusing on cardio, upper body, lower body, core, or full body. You can also create your own personal routines. When you create your own routine, the software lets you know what percentages of the body you are covering. Such as 50% upper body, 20% lower body, 10% core, 15% cardio. This is so you can be sure you are tailoring the workout to what you want. There won't be any guessing on if you are working the body effectively.

There is a 21 day cardio program and a nine week total fitness program which also features weekly fitness tests that measure how long it takes for your heart rate to recover.

This software uses motion sensors to make sure you are doing the exercises properly. These may present a problem initially for some people as they may put them on incorrectly. They aren't difficult to put on, it's just one may overlook something about them when first using them. Overall, they work excellent.

Two people can play if there is an extra set of motion sensors. These should be available for purchase from the EA website.

The heart rate monitor is accurate as well as it shows you and saves your heart rate data. This enables you to see your intensity levels on your workouts. You can make sure you are working out in the right zone and not overdoing it or underdoing it.

There is a journal that is optional for you to fill out that keeps track of your nutrition and workout progress. If you already know quite a bit about fitness and nutrition, you may find this repetitive. I do, I still choose to use it though, it makes it easier to know your eating patterns over time compared to writing it in a book. I know on my days off of work, I choose to eat more snack type foods. So at the end of the day, you just answer about 10 questions of what you ate and drank that day and that's it.

If you don't know anything about nutrition or are confused by it, they have built in, easy to read and follow nutrition charts on what is good to eat and what you should avoid. These are very easy to follow and I highly recommend them to someone who wants better nutrition but do not know where or how to start.

Also, if you don't know the first thing about exercises and/or are just starting out exercising, the lead and follow exercises the virtual personal trainers perform are great. There are also tutorials before an exercise begins.

Not only are there the traditional exercises and stretches, but there are also "games" which cover up the "exercise" to make fitness fun. There is mountain boarding where you have to run up hills and jump from rail to rail. This covers up the running in place and squat jumps you are doing.

What I like about this software alot is that when you are doing an overall workout, you aren't doing one type of exercise for 20 or 30 minutes. It moves from one exercise to another smoothly and quickly. So you may be doing 20 mini exercises in a 30 minute workout for example. The way it is laid out though, it covers the body areas you chose to focus on and you don't get bored doing one exercise for 20 minutes. I think this is the thing that will keep me at it long term for myself.

To sum up, whether you are familiar with working out or not, this is a real fitness product. If you don't know where to start concerning exercise and nutrition and wonder if you should join a gym or hire a personal trainer, I would recommend this. It's cheaper than a gym and a trainer, although some people do better in that setting.

The PS3 version also will feature downloadable workouts as well to keep things fresh.

First some background: I am in my mid-30s and in OK shape. I play ice hockey recreationally, skating 3-5 times a week depending on time of year. I try to keep a balanced diet, not necessarily eschewing fast food or junk food but making sure my portions are moderate in general and get my whole grains, fruits, vegetables, etc.

I went through a period in my 20s where I was a gym rat in terms of lifting weights to gain some size but w/o doing the supplements and protein shakes so I know the proper techniques, the difference between lifting to get cut versus pure power versus size, the importance of rest, so on and so forth.

Outside of that though, I don't have a real athletic background. I'm a decent sprinter b/c I'm lean but my cardio is somewhere south of terrible. It's something I've always wanted to improve but the problem is I hate running and biking as I find them monotonous.

Recently, I had been thinking about getting back to the gym or joining a fitness program in order to improve my cardio as I was tending to fade at the end of my hockey games and it was hurting my performance IMO.

I was doing some shopping and was looking at buying a Wii when I stumbled across EA Sports Active completely by accident. I wasn't necessarily looking for a fitness tool on a video game console but I was intrigued. I almost pulled the trigger right away until the read the reviews for Sports Active on the Wii were somewhat mixed and also saw that version 2.0 was coming out on the PS3 which I already have.

I waited until it came out and read a couple of reviews. It seemed like the PS3 version had the most favorable reviews at the time since you didn't have to buy any extra peripherals, it was hands free, and seemed to garner the best results in terms of response. After that, I went ahead and bought it.

Out of the box, you get the following:

* Game disc (duh)

* Resistance band w/ 2 handles (you must assemble this yourself it's a matter of tieing the band to the handles)

* A sensor/heart rate monitor meant to be strapped to the left forearm

* A sensor for the right forearm

* A sensor for the right leg

* USB w/ a sensor

* 6 AAA batteries

The sensors are battery driven, each requiring 2. The USB plugs into one of the USB ports of the PS3 like any other controller/peripheral. I believe the way the game works is that the sensors on your body "communicate" with the sensor in the USB to feed into the game, serving as the controller to speak.

Once I popped it in, the initial walkthrough was straightforward and easy to understand.

Figuring I wasn't completely sedentary and had some athletic base, I decided to start off on the Medium 9 week program (choices are either a 3 week intro program or a full 9 week program and within the two, you can select Easy, Medium, Hard). Initially, I wasn't going to write a review until I had completed it but after 2 weeks, I think I have enough to provide useful feedback and can update later as necessary.

I picked the 4 days I wanted to workout (my guess is other programs may have more or less days where you workout) and it was off to the races.

The idea of the game is that you are represented on screen by your avatar (whose appearance you can customize) and as the trainer directs you to move, your movements are captured by the sensors and your avatar on screen performs the same.

I had some problems with my initial set of sensors and it turns out the problem was with the leg sensor. It deteriorated over the month to the point where it was unusable (kept losing the sync). I contacted Amazon and got a new set (they just shipped me an entire new package w/ everything else included as well) and everything works much better. Seems as if there is a potential QA problem w/ the sensors but if things aren't working for you outright, I recommend trying to work with Amazon to exchange for a new set and see if that doesn't work better. Everything is -muchbetter with a good working set of sensors (although there are still some instances where it seems to have problems registering your movement).

For the workouts themselves, I am in phase 3 of 9 week program. To those folks who started on Hard and said it wasn't challenging and/or there was too much time between exercises, I tip my hat to you. It's at the point where I cannot push myself 100% without artificially pausing between exercises or even during exercises.

So far it seems like the workouts are cardio/plyometric based. Everything so far looks to be geared towards general endurance and lower body explosiveness.

If you lift for size or are focused more on upper body workouts, this probably won't do it for you. You can customize your workouts with respect to what you want to improve and while I haven't played with it, without doing free weights, I don't see how you can significantly improve your bench press for example.

A side benefit I want to mention is that since the exercises are more plyo-based (short and explosive), it seems to serve as a pretty good dynamic warmup. On the nights where I have a hockey game after I workout, I am not too tired to play and in fact, I feel pretty good from a looseness standpoint. Next day is definitely a full recovery day though. Not sure how well it would work for other sports though.

Other useful features:

* A journal where you can log things like, hours slept, glasses of water consumed, other activity you may be involved in. This is more for your personal benefit as the game doesn't really provide any feedback based on trending of the data (at least not that I've seen). It'll give general advice as you make your entry but that's it.

* Ability to configure the music playlists. Most useful if you have ripped and downloaded tracks to your PS3 but I haven't tried it yet though)

* Sync with EA Sports Active website to share results.

In conclusion, I definitely see the utility of this. I think it's a great innovation and hope that EA continues to build and improve on this product line.

Its funny that it ended up this way but its true.

The PS3 version is the best version of EA Active 2.

The Wii version you are forced to hold the Wiimote.

The 360 version you are forced to use Kinect including all the current growing pains of the system (situps on the floor hard to see, menu navigation, etc).

The PS3 version does NOT use Move and instead gives you an extra armband making it actually the overall easiest to control version.

As far as the actual software goes whichever version you get the workout is VERY well done. Impressive and a lot of fun actually.

If you want exercise you should seriously consider this product.

I bought this adapter because I own a pretty big collection of PS2 games, and I already put away my PS2 for extra space. What am I going to use it for? Very niche titles that few of you will care.

First, obvious compatibility that most will care about is the Guitar Hero guitars for GH3 and RB. They work. Not 100%, but work. However don't expect it to work again on future GH titles since Activion is a money hungry-portholic-jackass and probably will change their game codes so this adapter won't work. Who knows?

Second, dual shock 2 also works well for PS2 and PS3 games. No tilting for sixaxis-supported PS3 titles, obviously.

Ok so the first and second part of my review are obvious ones that everyone else already talked about. My main test subjects for this review are

Taiko Drummaster, Beatmania, Pump it up, DDR, Tekken arcade stick, Street Fighter 15th anniversary controller by Nubytech, and Saturn PS2 controller.

Taiko Drummaster-Game only recognizes the drum as the dualshock2 controller. What this means is that you can't use the drum to navigate the menu, but WILL work once the song starts. All I could do was to use the controller, pick a song, pause, and then switch back to drum in order to play the game.

Beatmania-Game has an option to choose either controller or turntable controller. I pick turntable, and the controller works perfectly fine.

Pump it up-It works well

DDR-DOES NOT WORK. If it works, there might be lags. Sorry for the confusion.

Tekken arcade stick-It works, but I read somewhere that there are few millisecond lags for joystick inputs. Doesn't affect average Tekken/VF player like me, but experts might.

SF 15th anniversary edition controller pad by Nubytech-Tested with SF Anniversary Collection, and it works fine.

Saturn PS2 controller-My main reason for buying the converter was to use this controller for my fighting games like KoF and SF on my PS3. It was bit of a gamble since this controller is an import, but to my surprise it WORKS!!!

In conclusion, this converter does a pretty good job of letting you use most of the PS2 controllers for PS2/PS3 games on PS3.

This converter worked fine until I've updated my system to 2.7. Now it's nothing more than paper weight. Good thing I didn't update my system while this thing was plugged in! I hear a lot of people bricked their PS3's and had to FORMAT all their saved games...

As another poster has mentioned, a newer PS2 controller revision H does not appear to work at all. I found an older controller, and that worked, except that R2 didn't work for a driving game, so that is limiting. I also have a Logitech wireless controller, and that seemed to work perfectly! This was all with system version 2.60.

Note that I'm not using it for one of it's biggest features, using the PS2 guitar controllers.

I upgraded the PS3 system software to version 2.70, and now the TAC adapter locks up my PS3 when I plug it in, as a previous reviewer mentioned. (Also, as that previous poster mentioned, do not have this adapter plugged in while updating the system software!) So, it looks like it won't work at all, now. Until updating the system software, it looked like it was going to be good enough, as I'd just use it with the Logitech controller, but this seems like a real problem.

Works perfectly (so far). Star power even works like it is supposed to.

Some of the other reviews said that you had to use the select button, but

this is not true--at least with MY guitar (Gibson). My wife said that she

thinks there may be a small lag, but I cant say that I have noticed it.

If you bought a 80gb PS3 like I did--and have been tearing your hair out

because the console will PLAY your old Guitar Hero games but your guitar

doesnt work--then this is your salvation :)

TAC deserves some kind of award for creating something that Sony should

have built INTO the 80gb PS3 if they were going to claim

'backward compatability' for the Guitar Hero Series; Who wants to play

I'm guessing that most people are interested in this item for the same reason I was: to play PS3 Rock Band with a PS2 Guitar Hero controller. To cut to the chase, I plugged it in and it worked perfectly.

As a side note, I've been letting my 2-year-old play with the PS2 GH guitar for a while now, and it still works. Good luck trying that with the Rock Band guitar. :)

I also used it to play Guitar Hero 1 for the PS2 on my PS3 (note that it's a 60GB PS3, which is hardware-compatible with PS2 games). It worked, but it initially recognized the guitar as controller #2, even though I turned on the console by inserting the game disc and didn't activate my PS3 controller. It was seeing the BD/DVD remote as controller #1. I pressed the PS3 button on the remote and changed it to controller #2, and presto, the guitar became controller #1 and worked fine.

There are only two minor issues that kept me from awarding this five stars:

1. The controller number LEDs don't work. (The connection LED does.) I don't care enough to mail it back for a replacement.

2. The included documentation is feeble. I had to check the online FAQ to figure out why GH1 wasn't working at first. The information in the package should have been more clear.

So, to sum up, the doc is poor and the build quality may be questionable, but the product does what it's supposed to and does it very well.

Tekken had once been a favorite of mine back in the PS1 days. I played Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 religously with a group of friends. I then skipped out on Tekken 4 and 5. With the hype of Street Fighter IV rekindling my interest in fighting games, I decided to go with the LE Version of Tekken 6 to get the fight stick to play it with.

Tekken 6:

+ Easy for the inexperienced button-mashers to play

+ A very large roster of characters with varied fighting styles.

+ New moves and rythms for veterans to discover and experiment with.

+ No time need be wasted unlocking fighters, but plenty of unlockable costumes

+ Fun story mode offer's adventure and a break from the 1-on-1 fighting.

+ Online play is now great since the recent Patch

Gameplay is slower than it's contemporaries.

Graphics are really not very impressive.

Load times seem to be long even after installing.

LE bundle contents:

+ The fight stick is very easy to sync and set up

+ The fight stick has a good solid feel

+ No discernable input lag

+ High quality, hardcover art book is interesting to page through.

+ Fighting Stick can be used on PC games

+ Multiple wireless fighting sticks can be used at once

THE GAME: 8/10

Tekken 6 gave no trouble for me to get into after abandoning the Tekken series for the last several iterations. The gameplay felt familiar and I was pulling off some old staple moves and combos with Paul and Heihachi in no time.

Tekken is unique in that it uses more directional taps and button+direction type moves rather the all the directional charges, half circle and quarter circle of SF. Tekken has a unique button layout, assigning one button to each limb. This making combos and moves easier to replicate simply by witnessing them. It also is different in that blocking is achieved by standing or crouching in a neutral direction. additionally, The game plays more like a 2D/3D hybrid rather than using full free 3D movement like Soul Calibur, primarily reserving 3D movements for quick sidesteps and evasion rolls.

Combos are still easy enough for beginners to pull off. Tekken allows liberal juggeling of airborne opponents, which further sets it apart from it's competition. You can easily get 2-3 juggle hits on your opponent nearly every time you strike them or bounce them up in the air. However, the big 10 hit combos and the more technical moves simply won't happen by accident and take practice to not only know how to do them, but when.

Tekken 6 offers a "story campaign" mode, in the vein of the the Tekken force modes first seen in Tekken 3. While this mode does add more content to the game and help to flesh out the story, it doesn't play all that well. I found the Tekken Force mode of Tekken 3 much more enjoyable. Tekken 3 offered co-op right from the start, but not so in this campaign story mode. The hybrid 3d controls are ambitious, but flawed. Taking on multiple attackers is confusing as the targeting system is not very good. You must press R1 to switch targets repeatedly until your character faces the correct one. This can take sever cycles and leave you open to attack. The Campaign Story is a nice side-element to the game, but don't get the idea that it is the focus of Tekken 6 no matter how much Namco hyped it. The real game still lies in the Arcade and Vs. modes.

The online mode is not all that I would have hoped for in regard to performance. I have noticed games to be very laggy, only getting one good game out of maybe 10 at this point. It is frustrating, as I am a decent tekken player, but I lose to people using stale moves because my timing is blown from the latency maing it difficult to use counter and parrying. Essentially, this ruins the complexity of the game online and dumbs it down to just timing simple button-press combos. When I do get a good connection, it's great, but at this point I plan to do most of my vs. matching locally.

The online also allows you to save replays, which I am surprised it took this long for a fighting game to add. occassionally you will fight a laggy opponent, but when you both have good connections the game feels good. Perhaps not quite as good as SF IV's online feels, but on par with Soul Calibur's if not better.

Another area where Tekken 6 is a bit lackluster is in the visuals. The graphics look almost last gen. Some of the broken paralex stages just look bizzare. Comparing this game to Soul Calibur IV, which came out last year from the same publisher, it falls short. Character models almost seem to look polygonal, which I thought was gone from this gen of consoles. It is certainly not awful, but after seeing Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, SC IV and Modern Warfare 2, this game just seems very unpolished.Fortunately, great graphics aren't needed for fun gamepaly. Tekken 6 shines in it's accessability and smooth controls. It's any every-man's fighting game.

Tekken online has more features than Soul Calibur IV, but does not hold up to the performance of SF IV, SC IV or Blaze Blue. I won't be giving up SF IV for this, but Soul calbur IV will be gathering dust for a bit. Overall I would give Tekken an 8/10 due to the robust content, with a tilt of 7/10. It's a step up, but not the big improvement some may have hoped for. However, if you're like me and had been out of Tekken for years, this is much greater than Tekken 3 or 4, but only a minor improvement over Tekken 5.

LIMITED EDITION: 7/10

So, I'll get this gripe off my chest first. It is utterly ridiculous to use bluetooth if no accessories can use it. Sony needs to start allowing licensed products to use Bluetooth. That would have made this the perfect wireless stick. Since it uses a dongle, the stick will not work with PS2 games currently if you have a BC PS3. I was hoping to be able to play R-Type Final and Contra: SS with this, but it is just not possible currently.

That being as it may, The dongle is only a slight annoyance. Hori at least made synchronizing it as simple as pushing the X button. The arcade stick uses 2 AAs which may seem bad at first, but it does allow a longer battery life than if it were to use Lithium Ion like the Dual Shock 3. I have not noticed a hint of controller lag either.

Make no mistake though, this is closer to the Fighting Stick 3 than an HRAP3. The buttons have a decent feel, but can be a bit mushy at times. Replacing with high quality parts would be no simple task. The internal parts are not readily accessable since hori used a tri-wing screw type. Buttons are soldered to the PCB and the stick is not easily replaced due to the battery location and very slim profile case. Modding it can be done, but it will not be easy.This stick emphasizes convenience over durability and performance, and really it does quite well with that. To most gamers this will be far better than the control pad. Personally I am happy with it, even with it's shortcomings.

The Art book really looks nice and is a Hardcover. It has some info on the characters and how they were conceived. A nice compliment to the game for Tekken fans.

The added price of the LE bundle is worth it if you are looking to get an arcade stick and don't plan on entering tournaments or, if like me, you simply wanted the convenience of wireless stick. Otherwise, choose the Hori HRAP3 SA or Madcatz TE sticks if you don't mind the wire. As with all arcade sticks, transitioning from a control pad will be akward at first, but it will allow you much higher potential for fighting games. I have noticed having a fighting stick makes those who you would normally be turned off by the complexity of the DS3 jump right into playing on the more purpose-built, simpler arcade stick. Having 2 fight sticks is a blast for parties or family get togethers.

I am an avid Tekken player. I've been a fan of the series since Tekken 2. The game is great. This review is for the joystick included in the LE. I've used other joysticks in the past. I actually have the Hori Soul Calibur 4 stick. The tekken stick feels a bit lower in quality than the Soul Calibur stick I have been playing with. There isn't much weight to the stick, but I suppose different strokes for different folks, eh? The main problem I have with the stick is that it just doesn't meet my standards. There is an incredible amount of free play in the joystick. I've measured and its about 1/4 of an inch of free play moving the stick in any direction. (meaning that before you can move the stick to the left, right, up, down, etc. you must first overcome the 1/4 inch free play before it recognizes input). The buttons feel very spongy and have a bit of resistance to them. I'm used to playing with arcade sticks so it will take a bit of time to get used to this one. I bought this as a secondary stick and because I couldn't pass up buying the bundle for $74. It will work fine as a secondary stick. I would make the following analogy concerning this arcade stick. If you ever have been to a friends house and he has but two controllers... 1) standard dual shock and 2) a third party dual shock (pelican). Which would you prefer? Playing with this stick is a bit like that. There are better ones out there but it will get the job done. I will be investing in the Street Fighter Tournament stick made by mad catz though. As for input lag.... I did notice slight lag playing SF remix (downloadable on PS store). However, I did not notice any while playing Tekken 6.

For someone on the fence about buying this:

If you are looking for a wireless stick...go for it.

If you want a quality arcade stick, look elsewhere.

If this is your first arcade stick... go elsewhere.

If you have a quality stick and just want another so that your friends don't complain about you being the only one with an arcade stick...Go for it. Just make sure that you are not the one using the Tekken stick :)

First off do not listen to all the Tournament Edition Arcade Stick fanboys on the internet. This wireless stick is a quite good stick.

It is not as nice or good as the Tournament Edition ones, but it is not supposed to be.

I also have a Marvel vs Capcom Tournament Edition Arcade Stick and though it is much better I highly recommend the wireless tekken 6 one as a second, or to those who are not into fighting games enough to blow a buck fifty on just a stick......... With the prices Amazon has you get a game and a stick for almost half the price.......And the art book no one cares about.

The wireless has yet to cause me any problems, nor have the stick or buttons.... When and if they do I will swap everything out for Sanwa Parts, though this stick is a little harder than some it shouldnt be a problem for anyone who has modded one before or has basic soldering and reading skills.

I really enjoy this stick and find it great for friends to use so they dont tear up my Tournament Edition...... Do not beleve everything you read, this is far from a crap stick. Some people are just too far on Mad Catz pole to realize it.

Tekken 6 is probably the best in the series so far. It has almost everything you want from a fighting game: lots of characters , lots of modes to play and the graphics in fighting game ever ( I'm so surprised that some people say that the graphics are awful or that it's not better than the legendary Soul Calibur IV ) Tekken & Soul Calibur have always been my two favorite fighting games and fortunately I liked the game a lot. The only bad about the game is the online mode which I was very disappointed from it. It's very laggy and it's hard to play a good match because of that.

The fighting stick is good and also wireless which makes even better. I don't know if it's the best or not since it's my first fighting stick. also it works on the PC.

I got myself this stick as a gift to myself for my 18th birthday. I can honestly say I would never play a fighting game on a pad again. I received this the first week of July. Within a month, the spring on the joystick was loose and the screws are impossible to take out unless you have a Y head screwdriver. A few days ago, I was getting ready to play Street Fighter X Tekken and the controller was not working. I thought the batteries were dead, but brand new ones didn't do anything. I'll start by saying I did this backwards. Began with III and have now finished II. I absolutely loved III and liked II almost as much. I love the setting! Renaissance Italy is one of my favorite historical places/times. We spent our honeymoon in Florence so this was almost like being back there. The graphics are wonderful, as is all the detail. The characters, costumes and accents are all very well done. The architectural details are stunning. It is readily apparent that the staff at Ubisoft really did their homework on this one.

Gameplay is a lot of fun. The various moves, weapons, armor, missions, interactions, as well as upgrading the Villa all make for a very fun game to play. I was particularly obsessed with upgrading and renovating the villa. I also enjoyed how challenging some of the missions were, like getting the seals from the burial chambers. My only complaints about gameplay are that I wish there would've been some two handed swords and/or axes as permanent weapons. It's fun to pick up a big sword or axe from a guard but they're dropped instantly when you use it, run into something or start climbing. Combat is also not very gratifying or fun. I'd like to see a retrofit of the interface from III put into II. Due to those two minor complaints, I would've given it 4.5 stars but can't in good conscience give it 4. This is a terrific game that really grabs and keeps your attention and it gets 5 stars from me. It's a great story, has great action and it's just a lot of fun to watch it all unfold. I look forward to Brotherhood and Revelations. Then I'll go all the way back and play the original Assassin's Creed.

This is the first Assassin's Creed game that I ever actually played through, and I must say I was pretty impressed. I played a little of the first Assassin's Creed once via a friend's 360, but never actually got around to playing through it previously...I did hear it was fun, but kinda repetative...and my friend did share the story behind it with me, so I figured it would be fine to go ahead and start playing II, especially since it starts the story of a different assassin, Ezio. Although I haven't yet 100% completed the game, I have completed the story of this game, and I rather enjoyed it. I love a good open world game, and this satisfied my appetite for a good open worlder just fine. There is much in the way of side quests, exploring, and screwing around that can be done in the various towns & cities. Plus, the storyline is pretty solid, and the gameplay is a lot of fun. I enjoyed being able to upgrade my armor as I went along and purchasing better weapons, not to mention other fun & sometimes devious new weapons you can acquire. Such as the poison for instance...it was fun to go and prick an enemy with that and watch them go crazy before dying, and sometimes they would hit other soldiers with their weapons while freaking out to. Haha, I love it. That's just one of several various different means that you can take out your foes within this game. All in all, if you like a good action/adventure title...especially a good open world game, I highly recommend this game and others in the series as well. Brotherhood is next up on my list, and I'll probably play 1 just to play it, then Revelations. Good stuff.

I have been playing video games since I first obtained the original NES (which I still have and play) back in the early 90's, and never have I had such a wonderful time playing a video game! There were many times I literally squealed out loud in delight at elements taking place within the game. I will not rehash the details of the game (which you can find above in the item description), but I will tell you on my first foray in Toy Box mode I played for four hours straight and would have played even longer had it not been for the late hour and work in the early morning.

The options and elements to customize are vast...you can alter the appearance of buildings (and townspeople by giving them the heave-ho into any building you have customized), as well as purchase and place new buildings (some allow for placement options and others do not) so you are altering the landscape of the entire town. Customizations are easy and hilarious (giant Nemo fins are on the sides of my jail right now).

Everything is an event, from completing a mission (it's a party!) to the arrival of new toys (it's actually really excitement-inducing to see the stagecoach coming with your huge "present" even though you know what it is), to mining for gold, to riding Bullseye around and hearing the wonderful sound effects. As expected, the graphics are amazing with only a hint of jerkiness here and there. Sound effects are spot on and the game features most of the original voice cast from the films (another major bonus).

The reward system seems very balanced; they make it easy enough to earn gold coins to purchase new items (buildings, toys, etc.), but you are never sitting on all that many coins because so many new items are being unlocked for purchase all the time. Each new toy you purchase comes with new missions you can complete and the open world format is just a joy to tromp around in to complete them. The mission log is also very helpful, as is the compass feature which can be a real boon if you are stuck trying to complete any one task.

I can honestly say I can not wait to play this game again. Some games when purchased have a shelf life, but Toy Story 3 will live on my shelf forever. I can not recommend this game highly enough...and I haven't even touched Story Mode yet!

A few things I have noticed after several days of gameplay that I felt were worth noting are the time consuming loading screens and the difficulty maneuvering motorized vehicles (although this could just be a lack of coordination on my part). For a game such as this, it seems the loads are far too frequent and of too long a duration. I'm not sure if this is only on the PS3 version, but it is a bit of a frustration at times.

As for the vehicles...like I said, I don't know if it is just my lack of coordination, but I seem to have a real issue getting the cars to go in the direction I am trying to go. Any of the creatures I am just fine with (Bullseye, the Dragon, etc.) but those dang cars...

Also, the robbers at the bank and the attacks on the town can be a little random. Even if you are standing right next to the bank you can miss some of the bandits and lose some of your gold coins which is nonsensical to me. Fortunately my bank is right across from my jail so I just turn around and toss them in. :)

Despite these additional issues, I am still loving the heck out of this game. Truly a grand time!

I played this game with my child and we decided the only way to do a proper review was to offer both our viewpoints. So without any further ado, here's what we thought!

CHAPTER ONE: Train Rescue

My thoughts: Woody played the action hero to a T, as he raced off to save a train full of orphans from the evil Dr. Porkchop. It fit the overall mood of Toy Story and I was very impressed. The jumping puzzles weren't too difficult to figure out here.

Quotes from my child: "When I first played Woody, I thought the game would be easy and hard too. I died a lot, but when I figured out how to jump and move around, I liked trying to help the orphans. Those orphans needed to be saved. I felt happy not leaving any of them behind and getting a trophy."

CHAPTER TWO: Andy's House

My thoughts: Unlike the first level's imaginary setting, our characters are set up in "Toy Reality" we have to move around the room/basement with the limitations that a toy would go through. This level is designed to get us used to each character's strengths and weaknesses like Jesse being able to land on small areas, Woody using his pull string as a lasso, and Buzz throwing each character across long distances.

Quotes from my child: "When I was trying to get the cell phone, I knew this would be hard. My dad helped me when I got frustrated. When we got to the basement, my dad had to explain how the paratroopers flew. It was tricky getting to the cordless phone, but we figured it out."

CHAPTER THREE: Buzz Videogame

My thoughts: This level was a lot harder than the previous two levels. It involved platform jumping, but unlike games like Super Mario Bros., this added the dimension of depth. The jumping goes from being challenging to extremely frustrating, especially for younger gamers.

Quotes from my child: "There were 3 parts to this level. The first was the shooting part the game told me how to shoot the boulders, but I had to dodge rocks while flying and that was hard. The next part was jumping around on moon rocks and I thought that was hard too. There were so many broken pieces and I fell a lot. I didn't understand the part with shooting the crystals at first. The 3rd part was Zurg's fortress, and when those big spikes came at me I knew I would die, I had to run towards "me" which was confusing."

CHAPTER FOUR: Sunnyside Daycare.

My thoughts: This level was fun, but it's another one based in "Toy Reality" you have to do a lot of platform jumping to get to the lights, and if you have brought the wrong character, it wastes time. Getting the special cards is not easy because you have to complete carnival games, which are tough for an old gamer like me, and extremely frustrating for younger gamers.

Quotes from my child: "I needed my dad's help to play this level because there were hard games like hitting all the aliens without missing any. I got angry when I would miss a jump and fall off the lights. There were lots of jumps."

CHAPTER FIVE: Bonnie's House

My Thoughts: This level introduced some hard elements up until now, we had platform jumps that were difficult, but on this level, the jumps have time limits. Instead of playing the game at a relaxed pace, now we have to run and complete jumps before we drown in coffee or fall to our deaths. This stage includes rail sliding on the spaceship, which reminded me of Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction. We also had to pick up batteries...one false move and we had to go back and get the battery again.

Quotes from my child: "I drowned. A LOT. This level wasn't easy, I couldn't figure out where to jump. The rail sliding on the spaceship was super fast and tricky. The part with the peppermints made me angry because I fell a lot. I told my dad I'd have to be at least 15 years old to get past this part. I wanted to take breaks from playing because it kept getting harder with every level."

CHAPTER SIX: Prison Break

My Thoughts: As if the game wasn't hard enough, now a stealth element is added. We return to Sunnyside Daycare at nighttime, and the main goal of this level is to rescue your trapped toy friends. Buzz is not selectable, and you have to avoid searchlights while you wander around. Michael Scofield would be proud that I got through this level without being spotted.

Quotes from my child: "I kept getting caught! This wasn't as hard as Bonnie's house but I still needed help. I got mad when the lights found me but at least I wasn't drowning in coffee!"

CHAPTER SEVEN: Junkyard

My Thoughts: The first part of this level is saving 3 aliens from a chop-o-matic trash machine. Two player assistance is recommended but not required. If you haven't gotten used to switching between characters yet, this next part forces it on you. We have to save our friends before they are melted, crushed, and sliced into fish bait. Each character has a specific task that must be completed for the other two characters to move forward.

Quotes from my child: "I kept getting sad on this level because I didn't want Slinky or Hamm or anyone else to get hurt and when we didn't know what to do quick enough, I knew they wouldn't make it. My dad had to play most of this level."

CHAPTER EIGHT: Haunted Bakery

My Thoughts: After all the previous stages, this level was a well-deserved change of pace. The level consists of running around and shooting an army of muffins and evil witches (yes, you read that correctly). There's no platform jumping to worry about: just shoot, shoot, shoot, and shoot some more.

Quotes from my child: "Finally, an easy level! My dad kept getting the toy balls and I played as Buzz, shooting the witches with the cannon. We got all the cards and hidden things and I smiled a lot."

TOYBOX MODE:

My Thoughts: This is a free-roam level that has no time limits. Players can unlock new townspeople, go on quests, compete in races, take pictures, buy cars and houses and shops from the Toy Store, it's very fun. Some areas can't be unlocked without performing certain tasks, which is a little confusing for younger gamers.

Quotes from my child: "I like Toy Box. This is a fun part of the game. I can wander around, get lots of gold, buy things from the toy store, and I want to get the little tuba guy who goes under water, he looks cute. I like watching the guy on the construction site when buildings are building. If I get lost, I talk to Mission Pig. If I want a new mission, I talk to Mayor Pig. I don't have to worry about coffee here!"

CONCLUSION?

The music, storyline, voiceovers and character models are extremely faithful to the Toy Story universe.

While it is rated "E" for everyone, that doesn't mean that everyone will have an easy time playing it. For example, In two-player mode, player one is on the left and player 2 is on the right. If you want to switch those camera views, both players have to press the L1 button at the same time. This is not explained in the instruction book or anywhere in the game itself.

If your child gets frustrated by platform games like Super Mario Bros., they'll need your help with Story mode, and that's where the 2-player option really shines. In Toy Box mode, younger gamers will enjoy roaming around and creating their own little town.

Recommended, but not for children who have difficulty with platform games.

The first thing that fans of the "Toy Story 3" videogame will say to me is, "It wasn't made for you. It's for a different audience." Oddly enough, though, those people would be wrong. I love the movie trilogy. I like action/adventure platformers. I like open-world sandbox games.

So, why not a better score?

Well, it basically comes down to this: The Story Mode is decent but way too short, and the Toy Box Mode (while pretty good) isn't enough to keep me playing.

The 8-level Story Mode has some brilliant stages that step off the beaten path. But a couple of the levels are just lazy, particularly the Sunnyside Day Care levels. Honestly, parts of this Story Mode are so amazing that the weaker parts felt like insults to me. Considering how dramatic these movies are, I was surprised they didn't try to take advantage of those thematic opportunities. At least there are a few surprises in store.

The Toy Box Mode is sure to be the favorite aspect of the "Toy Story 3" videogame, and rightfully so. It takes a while to get going, because there isn't much to do while you're learning to play the game. But then there are all sorts of toys to buy, places to explore, neat missions to accomplish, and it eventually feels like a living breathing world of toys. I think what I missed from this Toy Box Mode, though, was a sense of urgency to continue. Other open-world titles like "InFamous", "Grand Theft Auto IV", and "Fallout: New Vegas" had a narrative that compelled me to keep playing, even if I wasn't sure I really wanted to. But with this game's Toy Box Mode, it starts to feel more like a checklist. An amusing, colorful checklist to be sure, but because there's nothing extraordinary about the gameplay mechanics, it's just not enough.

The best compliment and harshest criticism to give to the "Toy Story 3" videogame is that it makes you feel like you're playing with a whole bunch of toys. When you're in the right mood, the game can be a lot of fun. But after a while, playing with the toys isn't enough. There has to be something more to draw you in. Because the Story Mode doesn't use the film's drama, it's simply 8 action stages that aren't worth playing more than twice. And the Toy Box Mode, for all of the unlockables and customization available, didn't make me feel like I'd accomplished anything.

Don't get me wrong, "Toy Story 3" is one of the better licensed games out there, and it's surprisingly solid. But I still don't think it's worth owning. Just because it's better than most movie-based or TV-based garbage doesn't mean you should fork the cash.

This is a great game for children and adults alike. If you like the Toy Story movie series, you will enjoy this game. My 4 yr old son and I enjoy playing this game for hours, and we have not even gotten into all the areas. I would recommend this for both children and adults with children. I also see they are coming out with DLC on the PSN for it..minigames moderatley priced at $0.99 a piece. Plus when the Move controller is released later this year..it will be patched for even more fun.

I will add more after we play the game more, since was just released yesterday.

I have played many movie based games, and this is by far the best one so far. Especially with all the original Pixar animations and voices from the movie!

Yeah yeah, we all know how people review games based on movies. They start out with how the track record for them isn't very good, then tell you that the product in question is either just another waste of money, or something surprisingly good. Usually it's the former. Toy Story 3 here isn't one of those games, and the reviews have mostly been in its favor since it came out. It surprised me, and what surprised me even more was when I played it for the first time, and seeing how solid it is. But playing through the game, I noticed a few things that keep this from being up there with the likes of the SpongeBob Squarepants Movie game, Ghostbusters and several others. But even then, this is something that younger kids and adults can enjoy, and definitely a fun game for families to play together and help eachother out with.

Chances are, if you're interested in the game, you've seen Toy Story 3, or at least know the plot summary. Woody and the others are worried about what's going to happen to them now that Andy's moving out and going to college, and they don't want to end up in the trash, but still don't want to be stuck in the attic for who knows how long. They end up being donated to a day care where things aren't as nice as they seem at first, and the whole thing turns into yet another prison escape kinda deal. The game is a platformer, meaning you'll be doing tons of running, jumping and collecting things. Most of the time you'll be able to play as Woody, Buzz and Jessie, each with their own unique ability to help you progress to the next level. Woody can use his pull-string to swing around, Jessie can do...some weird spin jump that lets her reach certain areas, and Buzz can do a cool tackle move and fly around in some levels and shoot his laser. Some levels will let you ride around on Bullseye, others have a kind of roller coaster design as you slide around on rails to get key items, and then there's the Toy Box mode, which almost counts as a second game. It's a separate area from the main game that you can select on the menu, and here you can customize a toy town, go on tons of little quests for other toys, earn new characters to populate it with, and unlock numerous trophies. It's very well made, and I spent way more time here than I did with the story mode.

All in all, the story mode is pretty good. It tells the story of the movie with a couple of big parts taken out, or characters removed probably due to copyrights (the cymbal monkey is nowhere to be found in ANY TS3 merchandise, and the game continues this trend). A lot of the levels are based on things in the movie, like the first level being from the imagination/pretend opening in the movie with Woody trying to stop Dr. Porkchop. They're fairly simple to navigate through, but the camera is what'll screw you over more often than not, usually when you have to time a jump just right to a moving platform. It got so bad in one level to the point where I had to just stop playing for a while, cool down, then return a few hours later and try another 30 times before I made the jump. This doesn't happen -toofrequently, but when it does, it ruins the flow of the game. The camera will be positioned a little too high or low, and since you can't move it around with the shoulder buttons of right analog stick, there's no fixing it. The other problem I have with the game is that a couple of levels drag on for way too long. The roller coaster rail one where you play as Woody comes to mind immediately, and I slunked in my chair when I found out I had to collect more batteries to finish the level. Luckily everything in the Toy Box mode is problem-free, and like I said, I enjoyed this part of the game a lot more than the story mode. Time flew by when I first started my town there, and kids will have a lot of fun with this portion if they get sick of the couple of long levels in story mode.

The graphics are as good as you can get for a game like this, and everything fits the Toy Story style perfectly. I rarely noticed any slowdown, even in some of the faster paced levels like those where you fly around as Buzz. The voice actors all did an excellent job with their characters too, and the music is recognizable from the get-go. No generic background filler here.

I know I might sound like I'm contradicting myself by saying that the story mode is pretty good, but has big problems. But compared to a couple of other movie-based games I've played in the last year, I won't let those ruin things for me. As you can see, I'm giving this game 4 stars for fun, with the Toy Box mode being the main thing that kept me coming back for more. But that awful camera at the worst times takes off a star from the overall score, as does the overly long levels. If I could, I'd give Toy Story 3 a 3.5/5 instead of just a 3. It's definitely worth the money, especially with the recent price drop, and a good platformer for all ages, but it could've used a little more polish. At the very least, rent or borrow this one.

Really spiced up the guitar. The instructions aren't quite right though. you don't have to take the whole guitar apart (it says to remove the neck) for the Rock Band guitar. In fact, it's easier to apply with everything intact since the screws end up getting covered up.

This skin was used w/ the original rock band guitar style that was released. I have had this skin on my guitar since I bought the first rockband and this material is great! Of course it can play video games and that should be its primary function. It does this well. The online Playstation store makes it easy to browse titles and even better, download free demos. This model (250 GB Slim redesign) comes with enough stock memory to last you a good while, whether you're storing games, music, or movies. I personally like the sliding cover over a retractable disc tray. It eases the placement of the discs so I don't feel like I have to be as delicate, not to mention it's easy to see any dust accumulation and/or access the laser for cleaning. And I don't know that there's problems with the disc tray, but the less moving parts the better. You can hear some of the disc reading noises, but it's usually short lived and not really bothersome anyways. I've had it running night after night, sometimes for 6 hours continuous and it's not getting hot at all...just a slight warmth.

I also now use it to stream Netflix, through which we watch all kinds of TV shows and movies. I would recommend an HDMI cable though, assuming you have a TV capable of supporting it. It makes a noticeable difference in the resolution. The settings can usually be used on default and are fairly intuitive, but there's a wealth of things you can change or tweak to suit your needs. For example I have my HDMI cable running to my TV, but also have the RG cables running to my PA mixer for even bigger sound. But to allow this you have to allow it to split audio outputs first.

There's probably an overabundance of other reviews about its usage, so I'll just close with a glowing recommendation. I played my PS2 for over a decade (still running btw, but obviously no longer in use). This system blows it away. With the PS4 coming out later this year, you might be wary of getting an "outdated" system. If you haven't had this generation system yet, I'd say now is the perfect time to get one. There's literally years worth of games to choose from, many of which are under $20 brand new. And don't expect developers to abandon the PS3 for at least 3-5 more years, and even then, you probably couldn't play everything that's already been released (my Amazon wishlist has over 100 games). So far I've bought one game used and 4 games new, yet the total spent was only about $60...or about as much as a new release game.

One other note: I bought mine used. It showed absolutely no signs of wear, but it was missing 2 of the 4 rubber feet on the bottom. I haven't missed them. Provided you have some level of trust with the seller, I'd say go ahead and buy used if you see a good deal that clearly specifies what's included. They're seemingly sturdy systems. Although I wouldn't get one of the older models, especially a "fat", as those ran hot and tended to have YLOD problems. That being said, the brand new systems are hardly a ripoff either, especially if you're getting a bundle.

I've had it for a few months now and I've only found one flaw. It can be pretty loud, the fan, the discs loading. You insert the discs manually instead of the auto ejector in the older models, so you don't get any scratches. Much easier to fix and clean than the old slim.

I've been playing De Blob 2 for a couple weeks now, after buying it on release day. The first De Blob was one of my favorite games for the Wii. I bought this de Blob 2 for the PS3 because I wanted to play the game in HD.

I was slightly worried about the transition from using a Wii controller to using the PS3 controller. I was pleasantly surprised though. When playing on the Wii, my arms would start to hurt from flicking the remote. The PS3 version (when played with the regular controller, not the "Move") only requires minimal use of the controller's motion sensor. The controls are smooth and it was an easy transition from Wii to PS3.

As in the first de Blob, evil creatures have taken over the world and removed its color. Your job as De Blob is to add color to the world by painting yourself and then touching objects. Various enemies try to spray you with black gunk as you make your way through the levels.

Each level has a main goal such as liberating university professors and students from a black and white world. After completing the main objective, there are ancillary quests such as repainting billboards or bringing trees back to life. There are also various items to collect such as light bulbs that allow you to upgrade De Blob, purple swirls that make De Blob paint in patterns instead of just plain color, and pictures for the picture gallery.

This game is rather hypnotic and relaxing. I've only been frustrated once so far when I kept running out of time on one particular level. I've played about 14 hours now and think I have about halfway to go. The ancillary missions comprise about 25% of the play time, so if these missions don't interest you, the game will likely be quite short.

I love this game and hope the developers come out with a third iteration.

When seeing this game on the shelf i passed because i thought it was a stupid kids game. I borrowed it from a friend and played the first island and returned it to him. Why the 5 star review then you ask, well ill tell you its because after i returned it to him i went the store and bought it. I am in love with this game i love the concept the music and the graphics. This game is fantastic in almost every way you should really buy it. Its a platformer with a neat take on the genre. When i said fantastic in almost every way the almost is the camera it gets wonky at times but just push L2 and its fixed.

One of the first games I purchased when we bought our Wii was deBlob. It was a ver fun game with incredible jazz music but the exclusive use of the Wii remote was at times inconvenient and eventually became tedious especially in the later levels. It was family friendly but a challenging game for adults as well. De Blob 2 has taken all the good stuff in the first installment and made it better. More creative, challenging and entertaining.

One major improvement with the deBlob 2 is that the players have the option of using their PS3 controller or the Playstation Move. That in itself was a major upgrade, graphics aside. The 3 dimensional graphics in deBlob 2 are fun and even the use of a 2D platform for the "inside jobs" just seemed to enhance the Graydian world's 3 dimensional effects.

Basically the game goes like this:

The Inkt Commander has taken over and drained the world of color, music and art. Your job as deBlob is to restore freedom of those things and capture the leader, Comrade Black. Using the primary colors of red, blue and yellow there is a spectrum of possibilities that include purple, orange and brown. As you progress through the game you gain experience points used to improve your character. You always have the option to remix and change the way your character's strengths which is a nice flexibility.

There are two settings for difficulty:

Easy, which is not timed

Normal, which starts you off with 15 minutes of time to complete several different challenges after completed you can finish up more challenges and fully paint the world, find the hidden goodies and rescue the Graydians from their buildings by painting them. Completing the challenges within the 15 minute time period is possible but not easy by my standards (at the end in particular), but I have been having a blast. I am almost finished but wrote this review before completion because of Amazon's request for a review....

I have been having a blast with deBlob 2, my Wife loves the music and my Granddaughter while not playing deBlob 2 on her DS enjoys watching me play. In the PS3 version there is a second character named Pinky who can be played with another player but we haven't done this as yet. I imagine it will just add another dimension of fun to this creative and entertaining video game. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys something very different from the other games out there. It can be particularly satisfying to use your colors to defeat the totalitarian government that has drained the world of color and fun, replacing it with black and white silence.

De Blob 2 is a total blast. It's relaxing, funny, entertaining, colorful, and tons of other good adjectives. I usually play heavier games, and this was bought to really chill out on. The entire experience of the game was very well realized. I never played the first one, but always heard good things. Once I saw a video of the sequel, and the gorgeous graphics on ps3, I just couldn't help myself. Let me break it down like a real reviewer!

Gameplay:

Controls are usually spot on. There are a few difficult sections where the camera spazzes out. The only frustrating parts are when you're scaling a few skyscrapers and then accidentally slip off. Also, when your wife is pushing your hands to make you go in the ink and kill yourself, that isn't too cool either. As for other parts of the game, the missions do get a little old. They aren't as tedious as other games, like gta and infamous, because they are much shorter than the aforementioned games' missions.

Story:

Hilarious, well told, entertaining. There is no actual dialogue in the cut scenes, and it works so well. All the characters and story is wonderful.

Graphics:

Looooooove the graphics. Edges are sharp, colors are vibrant. The overall graphic design of the game is well executed and very enjoyable.

Sound:

Music is great. Upbeat and effortlessly conceived. It feels a lot like the Katamari soundtracks, but not as crazy. Nice, smooth, and jazzy. When you color things, there are little flourishes that are mirrored in the music. The sound design definitely stands out in the game. I've been playing the game with headphones recently, which I have to recommend.

Replay Value:

That might be a little tougher. Unlike Katamari, the levels can only be played one way, really. There are a lot of different little completion tasks on each level, but I'm planning on selling this when I'm done.

Overall:

Great game! If you're looking for something refreshing, give it a shot!!!

Fans of the rather-under-the-radar Wii title, de Blob, were probably as surprised as I was to see that de Blob 2 was coming out.

The first de Blob was great, featuring a rotund little guy taking after his namesake, abosorbing paint in order to literally paint the town, liberating Graydians from the evil Inkt corporation run by Commander Black. It featured funky little characters who gave you challenges and missions to complete in order to liberate one area utilizing a certain paint set (or by mixing paints to get various colors). It also featured a rather unique jazzy and yet almost 60s-lounge-like soundtrack which invigorated and energized the player with its curiously laid-back feel. The humor was cute and not over the top, and all voices were a series of unintelligible words translated in English captions, comic-book style. If you haven't grabbed the Wii title already, do yourself a favor and pick it up for the very low price that it's offered at nowadays.

de Blob 2 took that Wii-exclusive concept and expanded to all 3 consoles. As fond as I was of the Wii title, I had to get the PS3 title to see if HD would, indeed, make a difference. And WOW, does it ever. de Blob 2 looks BEAUTIFUL in HD on a 58" screen! The somewhat deceivingly simple world is actually bursting with details that are subtle, yet noticeable to a de Blob verteran like me.

Graphics aside, though, how does it play? Awesomely! Several new things to note:

1. Should you choose to play with 2 people during the Story, you can! Now you can play a character named Pinky along with de Blob to fight Commander Black who is wreaking havoc yet again after having been marooned on Paradise Island.

2. 2D levels are introduced into the game. While many might think that this is a step backward (I sure did when I first heard about it on IGN!), it's actually quite cleverly done, introducing a new set of gadgets and puzzles to get you blasting through obstacles, elevators, switches, locks, and traps. If anything, I think that the 2D levels have possibly upstaged the 3D environment at times.

3. de Blob now earns "Inspiration Points" which helps him to upgrade his health, number of lives, Pinky, armor, etc. Inspiration points are earned by collecting little idea-icons throughout a level that can also be earned by participating in bonus activities after completing primary objectives within an area.

4. I have played the game with the analog controller or, if you're a Wii veteran like me, the Move controller is also supported. It's quite responsive and functions well.

One minor con to note is that the camera is a little finicky at times but once you've played the game for about an hour, you will learn how to navigate its own particular set of idiosyncracies. It is merely indicative of the varying level of complexity shown in each and every level; every contingency REALLY can't be provided for and you will learn techniques quickly to go from A to B. The levels are NOT set up to be impossible. Every objective does have a logical way of being tackled.

de Blob 2's soundtrack makes another de Blobesque return, and, like its predecessor, starts off with perhaps a simple bass line that will gradually build up in layers of complexity via rhythyms, voices, guitars, saxophones, etc., as you paint more areas of a level. It's a welcome return and it sounds even better than before.

And, if you're obsessive-compulsive like me, you'll find a wealth of objectives and awards to obtain in each and every level. Every tree, rock face, building, Graydian, vehicle, and INKT logo is ready for you to plunder in various colors, schemes, and time frames. The first level alone took me well over an hour to complete in its entirety (even though you could conceivably finish it in about 20 minutes). Every level after that increases in complexity and difficulty. It's rewarding to those who are willing to challenge themselves.

Kudos to THQ for a phenomenal game. I'm hoping that it does well enough to earn justification for a 3rd.

This Wheel is great for F1 2011 on PS3. Everything else is a matter of adjustment for this type of wheel and your style. My understanding is that F1 wheels are 270 degree rotation in real life. So, I found for a lot of GT5 driving is better on original T500 RS wheel but, F1 still works well minus the rotation issues, F1 Add-on is a nice buy if you hate the T500 RS original shifting paddles. On the PC you can make adjustments for the wheel to work the way you want in fact you need to have installed a firmware update for the wheel to work correctly with PC or PS3.

The F1 Wheel is really for F1 2011 fans at current price for full wheel.

Overall happy with the add-on not sure about full T500 F1 you would want to have T500 RS GT5 wheel for the TH8 RS shifter for a good example. I hope Thrustmaster makes a GT5/6 type wheel with F1 style paddles that would be the best of all worlds for the non-F1 2011 fans.

The wheel is made completely out of plastic. For 200 dollars you expect better materials. All center gages are fake. The five supposed buttons around the center ferrari gage are stikers. Over all don't buy. A waste of money, the original wheel attached to the t500 is of better quality. Hope this helps.

Needless to say, this is an expensive "add-on" but still well worth it if you play Formula1 a lot and have some some spare change lying around. The firmware in the wheel has to be updated in order for the housing to recognize the wheel. The download worked exactly as described and the wheel functions normally. Far and away, the most significant feature of this wheel is the fact that the paddle shifters rotate with the wheel like every other wheel on the market (with the exception of the T500RS). I also discovered a feature not frequently talked about but true to actual F1 wheels ..... you can actually upshift and downshift with either paddle. If you configure the game to upshift with the right paddle and downshift with the left (customary) you can downshift with the right and upshift with the left by pushing the paddles forward instead of pulling them towards you. It may not sound like much but it can free one hand while you answer the phone or take a sip of coffee and still being able to up and down shift when needed with the remaining hand. The large rotary dials in the center section are non-functional and are visual esthetics only. The push buttons, toggle switches and two rotary thumb-wheels provide all the functions normally programmed by any game. Some people have complained about the buttons being hard to access while driving but this is a subjective perspective. It feels difficult at first, especially if you are switching from a wheel with the buttons closer, but after a couple days of racing, they fall into place accordingly. Same can be said for the D-Pads .... they are smaller and stiffer and feel different, but they just require getting used to them, that's all. Also, and very importantly, the GT wheel and the F1 Ferrari wheel can be switched out with each other in about 30 seconds once you've done it once. The wheel comfort isn't as good as the GT wheel but nothing to be concerned about.

Why would this be a collector piece if the dials are not real and it really serves no purpose other than having the little Ferarri horse on it? Stupid if you ask me. Parts of it are metal, but it is still a plastic piece of junk. I certainly would expect more for the money they want for it. At least my porsche wheel is real like the real thing.

I bought this wheel because the shifter in my regular TM T500RS was shifting two gears at the time. The process to get this fixed was painfully long with many e-mail exchanges. It took me at least a month and one half to get the original TM T500RS wheel's shifter fixed. So, in the mean time I bought the F1 adder so that I could continue playing. The bad thing is that after six or seven months of owning this F1 adder it too developed a shifting problem. The shifting mechanism has lost its "click" when I shift gears and it sometimes misses shifts. Very frustrating! Because of the numerous problems I have encountered with TM customer services department and the apparent products' sub-par quality, or in some cases, poor design of some key components, I have decided to throw these toys in the trash and I will be buying other brands that may not perform as well when playing but at least they will last a reasonable lenght of time! Condemned 2 reminds me of a next generation game that combines elements of Manhunt and Silent Hill. Great graphics with a cast of bad guys ranging from street thugs, monsters, and demented possessed homeless people, there's no shortage of adversaries waiting in the darkness. The eerie settings make you hesitate to take another step around each dark corner in fear of what lies ahead. Game play is seen through a fist person view with smooth controls and good camera angles. We've all seen games that had such bad camera angles and clumsy controls that it ruined the game ( The Getaway 2 anyone? ) As you engage in hand to hand combat, you will learn a variety of combos to finish off your opponents. Although learning how to accurately put these combos together to make them work was one of the only difficult parts of the game that I never seemed to master.

You play as renegade special agent Ethan Thomas. A tough angst ridden guy with a thirst for a drink anytime he can have one and a short fuse to say the least. Along your travels you will pick up a variety of weapons to use that never seems to get boring. You will find weapons ranging from light to heavy. Rummage through junk to find 2x4's ( with nails of course ), conduit pieces, or a bowling ball. Pick up a heavier weapon like a shovel, axe, gumball machine or even a prosthetic arm. Each weapon will give a rating as to it's damage, speed, reach and condition it's in. This making it easier to decide what to grab when fighting for you life. You can also throw these objects at enemies as well. Guns are also available throughout the game. Pistols, shotguns and rifles make it easier to blast through enemies but watch your ammo. Taking a swig of any alcohol you may come across to improve your aim tremendously.

In addition to fighting, the game also adds great forensics challenges as well. Gather clues to send back to the lab for analysis. You are eventually equipped with a spectrometer, camera, UV light and a GPS navigation system. Gathering the right clues and answering your partners questions correctly will lead to greater rewards and help solve crimes quicker. These challenges make the game much more interesting than just fighting bad guys level after level.

Condemned 2 is a great horror survival game that has everything you could ask for. However, there are a few cons. The first is the on screen text. I played this game on a standard TV that has always looked great for games. But the text in Condemned 2 is so small, it can be almost impossible to read at times. This can be extremely frustrating when trying to accurately gather evidence and solve a crime. I've read that people with larger HDTV's even had a difficult time reading the text as well. Also, Ethan has limited ability to move. He cant really jump onto things ( unless at certain points in a level where an on screen prompt tells him to ) and he can't duck and hide in the shadows too well. It would have been nice to see a bit more stealth added to the game like in Manhunt. There have been reports of major audio problems ( snapping and popping ) in this game but I've never heard any. Could be with the online portion of the game or use of high definition equipment.

Overall I highly recommend this game. It was fun and challenging. The combination of combat and puzzle solving added a lot of variety to Condemned 2. As any game you really enjoy, it could have been a bit longer. The end was a bit anti climatic as well, but getting there was enjoyable the whole way through.

I bought this game with some skepticism in mind, reading good and bad reviews about it, I thought I would give my own mixed review.

To begin, I am currently playing this game on Hard, your experience may be otherwise different with the game if you played it in other level of difficulty, that is obvious. All you have heard about this game being a MUST to play at night, all true. The game keeps you on your toes, full of suspense and the random bad guy popping every now and then will definitely make you jump a bit. The array of weapons have thus far been varied, you will find 9 mms and shotguns scattered around, but their clips are limited, even though having a powerful weapon would defeat the purpose of what the creators had in mind (a challenging, strategy/weapon based game) I would have opted for a little more fire power. That being said, it is all about strategy and combos, they might get a little repetitive and to be honest, rushing, attacking and then backing off to read the enemy's timing is the best way to defeat them. So far I have only encountered one boss and it was quite challenging to try and bring down, since she would rush and use her heavy weapon on me, 3 hits and I was out, so playing on hard will definitely require more strategic moves.

Now to the bad side of the game. I had read that some people experienced sound problems, some others did not. Sadly, I was one of those affected by the sound, but it was not as annoying as described by others. Some random popping and that was about it. Other people said the game was too dark, well, this game is obviously designed to be played at night, all lights turned off and full attention on it. Adjusting the game's brightness will definitely get rid of this problem.

Problems about the game itself, I have only found a handful. The inability to jump and duck sets back the game a little. I have found that the smallest box will impede your process if you want to go through a door, which could easily be solved by a quick jump, instead you have to hit it out of the way with your weapon, which might end up weakening the condition of it. Lack of true firepower might be a bit annoying, this game comes at you full force and I would definitely love to pack a shotgun with me for when you are surrounded or the enemy can take plenty of damage. The camera might be a little choppy at times but not too bad, (SPOILER) the true setback is when you are wearing your mask, that takes away a good 25% of the already weakened visibility.

That being said, this game does pack some good fun, especially on a desolated night and like I always say, you should rent before you buy. If you truly consider this to be a good game to buy then get it.

Buy Condemned 2: Bloodshot Now

Despite the fact that they are not usually my genre, I found survival horror games to be the most affecting as far as emotions. Some games which have emotional cutscenes pass by with nary a tear and some games with topics that should hit home don't do much of anything. But play a character stuck in a haunted mansion or a dilapitated town filled with creepy residents and it's bound to get your heart racing. With a brand new PS3 in tow and not wanting it to be like the Wii (read: used only for occasional play moments and not every game that gets released), I thought I'd check out this one. And despite some gripes as well as a weird bug, this is still one atmospheric and violent game.

Story: Taking place almost a year after the events of Condemned: Criminal Origins (still just Xbox360), Agent Ethan Thomas has his the bottle hard and is having visions and nightmares. Not only that but the town's occupants have gone a bit...crazy and have started to beat each other up. When his former mentor Vanhorn leaves a call for help, Ethan is sent to investigate which will also bring to light some other mysteries and people behind the scenes.

The first half of the story is great and really delves into this idea of a supremely harsh detective story (an even grungier looking "Seven" if you can believe it) but then things go a little nuts and the plot takes a sharp turn and it becomes silly and new ideas are introduced that kind of ruin the whole thing. While you do want to play through till the end, it's still going to be looked back on as the "good half" and "everything up to the end".

Graphics: When you're dealing with a high-end television set, I love games like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune or Ratchet and Clank where the sharpness and vibrancy of the graphics will make things stand out. However, Condemned is the opposite route with lots of blacks and browns (and red of course) and it's a more "murky" looking title. That doesn't mean it looks bad cause it looks fantastic from detail to lighting to character animation. And having it entirely from Ethan's viewpoint helps since climbing up ladders actually shows hands and feet and not just the wall going up or down.

Sound/Music: First a bit of noting: on the Ps3, some have mentioned this idea of a crackling sound that's heard that I found is even more audible in the menus. While it's not detrimental to the gameplay, it is distracting and kind of ruins the sound a bit. Which is too bad cause the score here is atmospheric, atonal and quite creepy and the voice acting is also fantastic including a role by MGS's Roy Campbell as your boss. Also very much welcome is the sound design which plays into the combat. Hitting enemies with fists or weapons gets that awesome crack and impact sound that will sure to rattle your teeth and make your jawbone flinch.

Gameplay: I have to be honest: I kind of hate first-person shooters. Sure I can handle the occasional one like Bioshock or something but for the most part they turn me off. Condemned though uses for the most part an emphasis on melee (guns gets a bigger appearance unfortunately later on). Many items can be found in your travels from pipes to wrenches to crowbars, bricks that you can toss at people. Couple times I even found toilet seats. Using the L1 or R1 buttons is for your left and right fists respectively while holding them is for blocking. If you punch with both fists one after the other, you can activate a combo which deals bigger damage. Pressing the R3 button brings a kick (perfect for hitting enemies that ****ed you off after you killed them) while L3 and a punch will bring a hook. The problem is that enemies can frequently hit which cancels out any combos you're trying for and bizarrely they seem to take a lot of hits before they're dead. I can smack a guy 5 times with an aluminum baseball bat and he still gets up. What the hell?

But getting the kill move is the satisfying part and this game brings to the table an "environmental kill". Basically if an opponent gets stunned, pressing L1 and R1 and you'll put them in a choke hold where you can snap their neck but if you're feeling particularly vindictive, you can look around the room for an icon where you can kill them in a move unique to that place. One move I put the guy's head against the door frame and proceeded to kick his head against it. Ouch. Another I found a vice and well, let's just say he got more than a migraine coming.

There's also some investigative parts which show up which are fun though sometimes I felt without a walkthrough, there was no way I could've answered some of these questions. You get a UV light to follow blood trails and hidden messages, a spectrometer for locating emitters ("noisy hubcaps" as Yahtzee calls em), cameras and a GPS. The actual investigating only happens in specific parts so you're not going to be CSI'ing your way the whole level.

While I didn't lose sleep after playing this, there is some particularly nasty parts and some of the special kills are totally brutal and that's nothing compared to the brutality that comes from smacking people with pipes in the face and despite the sound gripe, this is certainly a worthwhile game to play even if it goes haywire at the end.

I just beat the game like two days ago, and I must say I came away very satsfied with the game. I never played the first one because i didnt have an XBOX360, mostly because i hate the system. So i heard it was coming out for PS3 and bought it because im a huge fan of horror games. First off this game is scary as hell lol. Mostly the whole game is dark and without ur flashlight u cant even see. It works tho because it makes things even scarier. The graphics are good, with great levels and good character design. The best thing about this game is probably the fighting system. You can throw punch combos with finisherd and their so many weapons at your disposal. This game is pretty violent too, with a good amount of humor too. My favorite part is the investigations. They let you examine bodies, determain the identity, cause of death, the weapon used etc. You can not really compare this to any other game. Maybe a mix of manhunt and indingo prophecy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm not quite sure what everyone is talking about with audio problems. I had no problem whatsoever with mine. And I played for about 8 hours straight the second day I had it. Anyway, with that out of the way, Condemned 2 adds nothing new like the first one did to FPS, however, it is a very well done different version of a genre that seems to be getting into the "s.o.s." problem. Guns are a much more prevalent in this one than the first one, but the overall majority is still with objects lying around to use as melee weapons (the bowling pin and gumball machine were nice additions). Also, the new combo system used for hand-to-hand is actually fairly decently done. yes, it can be very frustrating at times, which is where the melee weapons come in very handy. Thrashing some poor punk with a crowbar or 2 X 4 with nails can somehow seem very gratifying. The most confusing part of the game (and the reason fro 4 stars) is the story. The idea of Ethan beating his inner demons (later in the game, very literally) is a different twist and adds a lot of depth to the story, but beyond that is a definite WTF moment. The game itself is very dark and the sceneries definitely support the mood. If you didn't like the first (or didn't play it), you will most likely not enjoy this game. However, if you want something different out of an FPS than you might give it a shot.
