This exceeded our expectations.

I need to day that it works on all versions of Rock band for all of the units.

We have a Rockband 2 for the Wii.

So clever. It hooks on very simply to our drumkit and allows for the guitars, microphones and drumsticks to be neatly secured together.

Now I can just move it to a corner of my family room, where it is out of the way, with the instruments safe, then take it back out for more action.

Nothing worse than having to step over guitars and microphones!! lol this little attachment is great to alleviate clutter and prevent loss. Easily attaches to drum set. Great item!!

Loved this guitar stand so helpful. Our guitars were all the time falling over and we were afraid they'd get broken. Plus we never really knew where to store our microphone. Now it's all together and we love it we couldn't have chosen a better stand.

Well designed product. Fits nicely to the RB drums. Was afraid stability of drums would be a problem with the weight of the guitars on the front but that was not the case. Would not recommend playing drums with guitars in stand however as they may take a hit. Only issue is if you are going to frequently change the height of the drum stand then the brackets will get in the way. Otherwise I am very happy that I do not have to prop my guitars against the wall anymore!

Much like Turbo, the movie, was a disappointment in the movie theater, such is the life of Turbo: Super Stunt Squad.

You might have thought you'd be racing with the different characters. Instead, you'll be playing a very shallow, poor Tony Hawk impersonation of a game. In other words, skateboarding minus the skateboard.

Yes, that's right. Advancement in Turbo: SSS involves you pulling tricks, picking up scattered items, and trying to find your way around each level.

As a gamer who has 7-8 Platinum trophies and an overall level of 14, I'm so happy I rented this through GameFly so I saved my money and did not buy this game.

Your pre-teen kids very well might find enjoyment in using the various characters, but I haven't felt this much frustration in a skating game since the skating parts in the Spyro series (especially Year of the Dragon).

My advice: Save your money as this will be heading to the $15 bargain bin within a couple months, but whatever you do, do NOT pay $40 for this game.

Ok so you get 2 things here, 2 back triggers (very back buttons) that are extended and curved so your fingers dont slip off easily, i like these except they are a little long and poke you finger if you put your fingers under the triggers like i do, not a big deal though. The stick accessorie to me is pointless! Its a cheap piece of plastic thats kind of hard to put on. All it will do is get in my way so i wont be using these. the 3 dollars i spent for these are worth it just for the back triggers.

The R2 on my controller uses one of these triggers for gas and I can play a racing game all day with no problem. My finger just sits on it like a very comfortable chair. It is flat and long. I use a larger trigger on the L2 that is more short and raised. But this is perfect for form, fit and function. Playing shooters I used to say I prefer the larger triggers like the one I have on my L2 but staying with this on my R2 hasn't changed the speed increase of switching weapons or throwing grenades. Best purchase I have made for my controller and maybe even my console. I no longer look for other controllers cause mine is now perfect.

I was extremely pleased with product. Worked great while it lasted. Joy stick lasted maybe 2 months then one day while playing just snapped I was very upset as this was the best thing I ever purchased for my controller as I have larger hands and always slip my thumb off joystick. The product allowed me not to slip. But it was short lived.

Ive ordered several trigger attachments for my ps3 controller and these are without doubt the best feeling, most responsive, and all around well put together attachments Ive seen to date

Yes I completely discarded the Stick Attachment(who is really ordering these for that anyway) but the triggers are wonderful, Ive tried many other trigger attachments and these are just right, curved just so, good feel, and not in anyway crooked(some dont fit just right on the ps3 trigger, the thing is curved you know)

I absolutely love these, and if you are looking to get trigger attachments to play Killzone, or Resistance, these are deffinately a must

This allows you to turn your PS3 into a Karaoke machine. It comes with two mics that work well and 30 songs. It won't be that much fun if you just buy this game and only sing the songs it comes with. You just gotta sign onto the PS3 store and buy the songs you like for $1.49 each. I found tons that I like, but don't expect to get EVERY song you like. The library is currently 1400 songs, but PS3 adds like 50 songs every month.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

This Singstar is a nice karaoke game with a slick interface and actual music videos of the artists (which, really, is much nicer than watching generic animated characters perform the songs).

At the end of the day though, there's nothing that really separates this iteration of the series from previous Singstar or Karaoke Revolution games. The microphones included work well (though, they are wired, which is important to know...and you have to use the proprietary Singstar mics).

If you want a karaoke game for the PS3, this is as good a starter option as the original SingStar Bundle, though this volume has some boosted online capabilities (e.g., Remote Play functionality), if that matters to you. Really, if you are trying to decide between Volume 1 & 2, I'd look at the songl ists, as those differences are the only major differences.

One gripe that I have is with the online Singstore (where you can buy and download more songs for the game) The selection in the Singstore is decidedly European in taste (lots of songs that were hits in Europe or internationally; songs that were only big in the US are generally missing). Also, the US Singstore doesn't seem very well supported, with only infrequent updates (especially compared with the Rock Band equivalent). Nevertheless, we've bought several songs from the store, and we've enjoyed having the option to add to our collection (though this is a pretty standard feature in music games these days).

Overall, Singstar is a fun party game that makes for enjoyable karaoke and doesn't require keeping a pile of absurd plastic musical instruments in your living room.

I failed epicly at Rock Band and Guitar Hero. So I wanted something that I can do to annoying my teenage child. This does the trick!

Nice variety of music. Different options to battle or sing solo. Easy to set up and use.

Though I think its cheaper to buy songs on a package like this, instead of individually. You have to use the PS3 controller to move around, that is a negative for me. But that's just Mom talk for you!

I really like the skinz. It makes the PS3 look really good and it protects the controller and keeps dust from getting in it.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

It's pretty tricky to put on without getting air bubbles trapped in. I was lucky to have a small squeegee in the house as that helped a lot. One problem with the skin though is the fact that it's folded in the packaging it comes in so there's a big wrinkle in the middle of the big skin pieces, although it does kind of pull off a nice pattern and style but if you want it smooth then it will put a damper on that plan. As for the controller plate, it's pretty neat but makes it harder to press the buttons, especially if you need to press two at the same time.

Pros:

Skin and controller faceplate look cool

No sticky residue when taken off

Cons:

Skins are regular sticker thickness therefore they can easily get air bubbles and creases

Small packaging with the skin shoved in there resulting in permanent creases

Faceplate feels weird and can make pressing the buttons hard

High price compared to other PS3 skins

This is a cool skin for your PS3 but at $30 and with several cons I really just cant justify that price. Really, if you want some cool skins for your PS3 without the flaws of the Mad Catz skin get one from Decalgirl instead.

As a pretty casual gamer, I thoroughly enjoyed Origins The controls are easy to master, and the combat system isn't too complicated. I think the only qualm I had about the combat system was only having 6 shortcut slots for a multitude of spells. Granted, they give you like a shortcut for your spellbook, but I thought it was a little annoying flipping through it trying to find the right spell or ability. For the more experienced players, however, this might not even be a problem. For combat, you're also able to set up specific combat tactics for each of your party members, or you have the choice of cycling through your party members during combat to use their abilities. Not only does this give you more control, but also lets you 'try out' other classes than your own.

One of the best features of the game is being able to interact with party members and other NPC's and influence how they feel about your character. For me, this was the first time I have come across such a feature, and it definitely gives a whole new depth to the RPG experience. The replay value is pretty decent, as well, since there are many different classes and back stories to choose from, as well as specific class configurations, et cetera. Also, you are able to interact differently with NPC's the next time around, and some might even act differently towards you depending on which race and back story you choose.

Overall, I feel like the game was pretty linear. While you could revisit places you have been to before, however, I personally didn't see much of a point (unless I had forgotten something or had a side quest) since the enemies don't respawn, and there is hardly a need for "grinding" in the game. (The lack of respawning also limits the amount of loot/gold you can get throughout the game as well).

As far as the story goes, I liked it a lot and felt like it had enough depth to it It's also nice to be able to talk to your party members about their own personal stories. There are lots of other little great things about the game that I haven't mentioned, like the professions/secondary abilities or the little tidbits of lore you can collect, etc.

Great game, I thought it was worth the purchase! :)

My children are 4 and 6 and LOVE playing the previous Star Wars lego game (the complete series one). However they often argue about which direction to go. I loved the idea that this new game would do split screen and thought, HA! no more arguing! For the most part that's true, other than they now argue over who gets to be the jedi character (but once they unlock everything for freeplay, I assume then they can both be the same jedi as in the previous game).

The issue that I really have with this new game is two fold.

1. It is MUCH more complex than the previous games. The puzzles are harder to solve, there are many more actions that can be performed and it requires more fine motor skills (like targeting your light saber when you throw it).

2. There is a lot more happening on the screen at many times, it's distracting. In fact at times it's hard to find 'your guy' or the other guys in your party because there may be 200 attacking battle droids on the screen with you.

I had to resort to googling to figure out how to finish the R2 vs evil R2 level.

Oh that reminds me, another complaint.... some of the levels are WAY TOO LONG. I like to limit the amount of time my kids play PS3 to about an hour long session a couple of times a week. Some of the levels I've seen take WAY longer than that unless you've done it before and make a beeline to complete the level. I wanted to tell the kids, OK that's enough TV, time to turn off the game, but then they lose all progress and would have to start over the next time.

This is a new game to everyone here, so I'm sure given time, the kids will adapt to the new controls and it will all work out, but these are my initial impressions anyway. I would buy it again, but I agree with other reviewers that say it's a step forward in graphics, but a step backwards in terms of actual game play.

This LEGO video game franchise is like the James Bond 007 movies --even though some aspects get repeated again and again, it's still a ton of fun for many people. I haven't even come close to getting annoyed with the LEGO formula, so "LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars" has been a very enjoyable experience for me. Gamers who are tired of this series might want to sit this one out, because aside from sharper graphics and new strategy-style mode, there's not much new to check out. As for the rest of us, I think you can get into this one just as much as the other LEGO games.

GRAPHICS AND AUDIO

---"LEGO Star Wars III" probably looks better than any other LEGO game to date, especially with the character animation and lighting effects. Lightsaber combat looks so exciting, whereas previous "LEGO Star Wars" games had kinda clunky action. There's a lot more background action going on, the levels have a more epic scope, and it all runs very smooth. Keep in mind, though, that the series has started to make the levels look less like LEGO blocks, and more like realistic graphics. In other words, it's not all made of LEGOs, just a good chunk of it. The trend seems to be realistic worlds, LEGO-style characters. Personally, I'm okay with that. The music is very good in this game, and avoids recycling John Williams' music from the 6 feature films. In fact, I find "The Clone Wars" music to be enjoyable to listen to outside of the show or game. The sound effects are the typically-strong quality since they're from the "Star Wars" universe. Aside from that, this is a great-looking and great-sounding LEGO game.

STORY

---If you're looking to play these LEGO games for the story, you're going to be disappointed. The cutscenes are meant to move things along at a rapid, comedic pace. I'm okay with the quick slapstick approach, because trying to treat these stories seriously has always made for awkward moments in previous games. I can remember how the earlier "Star Wars" tried to make character deaths seem sad, and it came off more weird than dramatic. One thing I will caution is that because these 18 levels (3 chapters) are based on random episodes from a TV show, it can feel a little disjointed when a few villains reappear in more than 1 chapter. But again, we're talking about a LEGO game, so whatever.

CHARACTERS

---Good news, there are a ton of different Jedi, evil Sith, robots, bounty hunters, and other bizarre aliens to use. The bad news, there are way too many different Clone troopers that look very similar, and it can be very confusing. There are different abilities with the guns (rockets, machine guns) and special functions (some throw grenades, some command squadrons in the strategy-style levels), but I can't tell you which trooper is who without switching over and trying them out. It's not a big deal with the Story Mode, because each levels has a few specific characters. But in Free Play Mode or in the Hub, when you're free to explore and choose from dozens of characters to find the secrets, it's a bit of a mess. After a while, you might learn to recognize the different troopers, but I still struggle with it. Thankfully, though, each character is very fun to use. Get past the learning curve with the troopers, and you'll be alright.

LEVELS

---These levels aren't any more fun or less fun than any other "LEGO Star Wars" game. You still smash stuff to pick up bolts to buy things, build weird LEGO contraptions to advance in the levels, have infinite lives, face a few bosses, and use a variety of characters to explore and combat. The only level that really annoyed me was a cave level on Geonosis, where the only source of light are the Jedi lightsabers and Clone trooper flashlights. It's graphically-impressive, but disorienting. There are a couple of major differences to the "LEGO Star Wars" formula. In "The Clone Wars", there is less of an emphasis on spaceship combat. In fact, most of these spaceship sequences have very simple combat, with you eventually landing your ship to continue on foot. The other major addition to this game are the Assault levels. When you play Story Mode, there are a couple levels where "The Clone Wars" becomes a strategy game. You'll have to collect bolts, build you own bases, and take out the enemy. It sounds a bit weird, but there's actually some nice depth to it. Certain enemy building can only be destroyed by certain kinds of vehicles. For example, a Silver building requires a powerful cannon or rocket, whereas a Gold building can only be destroyed by rapid-fire weapons. Or you could work your way to a Torpedo bay, so that you can destroy a base's energy core and wipe it all out. Then again, if they have a Shield Generator, you'll have to send some troop squadrons in because vehicles can't breakthrough. You see how deep this can get? The Story levels do a decent job of teaching you how to play. Unfortunately, the standalone Assault missions have a time limit. It'd be nice if players could take their time with this mode, rather than being forced to rush everything. However, Assault is such a good addition to this LEGO game, I hope someone chooses to expand on this in a future video game.

THE HUB

---The Hub is the areas where you just goof around and find some secrets before choosing your level. Thankfully, this game doesn't use the system used in "LEGO Indiana Jones 2", where players had to spend more time in The Hub than the actual levels. However, The Hub in "LEGO Star Wars III" is a lot more complex than in any of the previous "LEGO Star Wars" games. When you start, you'll be aboard a Republic battleship with a couple corridors you can't access yet. Eventually you'll find The Hub is quite large with a half-dozen rooms, a few of them quite large. Each room has its own computer where you access the main menu to pick your level, so that's not a big deal. Where things get tricky is deal with the Separatist content. In order to get those characters and those secret levels, you have to fly a ship out of the Republic ship and the nearby Separatist spaceship. You can't even play the Assault game mode as the Separatists unless you're curious enough to find this other spaceship. In other words, you have a pretty big Hub when you start, and there's a whole 2nd Hub waiting for you to unlock the other 50% of the characters, ships, and secrets. It's not as maddening as "LEGO Indy 2", but it's still a little overkill. Thankfully, there are computer stations all around the Hubs so that you can just play the Missions and Assault mode if you want to. Also, you can use these computers stations to choose any character you've purchased at any time, so that you don't have to fly to one spaceship to bring an evil character to the good guys' spaceship, and vice versa. It might be exploration-heavy, but The Hubs will reward your patience.

HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO OTHER LEGO GAMES?

---This is a tough question, because your fondness for "Star Wars" is just as important as your fondness for LEGO games. I personally like all of these games (even "LEGO Indiana Jones 2"). I think fans of the previous two "Star Wars" games will love this, even if they're not familiar with the TV show. I hope gamers who are tired of the LEGO franchise give this one a try, just so that they can see the improved presentation and try the new Assault mode. But I'm not nearly tired of this LEGO franchise, because LucasArts and Travelers Tales put so much enthusiasm in treating their projects with respect ("LEGO Indy 2" was a flawed experiment) that it's hard not to feel like a kid playing with a immense toy set that comes to life. It's nice to feel like a kid once in a while.

I have been playing video games for over 30 years. I could not get my wife remotely interested in them. That all changed with the Lego games. Now she is the one that wants to play and these games are meant for dual playing. I think it is a lot more fun solving the levels with someone now. It seems lonely to play by myself. I think I can get her interested in Little Big Planet too because everyting in kind of warm and fuzzy. I love the fact that you do not die and have to start over in the Lego games. I also like the hints that you get while you are playing. This game is one of the best of the bunch. My only complaint is that the game froze on me twice. Both times in the same place, fighting a robot. Luckily I can just skip that episode but I do hope they get a patch out for it.

I expected this game to be like all of the other Lego games in the franchise, and it is mostly, but there are some added things.

It is more like Lego Indiana Jones 2 where there isn't really a linear way to choose levels. They're more like on a map. The same goes for 'buying' characters and vehicles and things like that. You run into them when you need to use them and purchase them like that.

One thing that, for me, takes some getting used to is some of the levels are big battles that you fight. It's much more different than I ever expected. I'm not sure I like those levels, but take it or leave it.

This game is harder for my 6 year old and 4 year old to play, but they're getting better and better at video games, and since they're used to the other Lego games, they are familiar with what to do.

Want LEGO Star Wars III The Clone Wars Discount?

My 8yo son and I have played through all of the Star Wars Lego games and all of the other franchises 100% (except for Lego Harry Potter). This game feels like the Clone Wars (visually exciting but none of the real charm of the original). Gameplay is your standard lego fare (why change an already great system afterall) and this new title is alot more action packed than the original. However it seems there are less puzzles and less building....this has been replaced by blowing things up using awesome vehicles and weapons. Cut scenes are longer and not quite as cute but some are still hilarious. There are a few castle defense and attack levels where you get to call in all of the awesome vehicles and clones and this is where the game really shines. A separate title expanding on this idea would be most welcome and suits this theme perfectly. The vehicle levels in space are sub par however. Some of the levels are not as quite intuitive as in the past and will leaving you scratching your head for awhile. Overall 8/10. If you loved the original this is still a great game to enjoy, but lets face it the original complete saga was epic and perfect in everyway and this cannot measure up entirely.

I'm very satisfied with these sleeves. I was looking for sleeves that would protect the controllers from sweat and also work with the PlayStation Move Charging Station. The other brands cover the bottom of the controllers and prevent the use of any charging station (without the removal of the sleeves for every charge). These sleeves come down only far enough to to meet the lip of the Sony charger and also not cover the controller's charging indicator light. They are a snug fit but are easy to put on since both ends are open. There are no ridges but the sleeves are tacky enough to not slip in my hands. There was a silicon smell and washing with soap did not help. After sitting a couple of days in the the Tide detergent box the smell is gone. They are now Tide fresh. I had ordered the red and the blue ones but I've returned the blue to Amazon because the package had 3 navigation sleeves and 1 move sleeve, instead of 2 and 2.

Time Crisis has never been known for its deep gameplay and complex strategies, but it's still a darn fun series and TC4 is the best one so far.

Time Crisis is basically a target game built around a lightgun, which was/is its major draw at the arcades. The name comes from the limited amount of time you're given to complete each stage; usually you feel like you're running behind the clock.

Sure, you're shooting "people," but there's no blood, dead bodies, exploding body parts, or other gratuitous violence found in many other FPSes. Honestly, I'm thankful for this.

Graphically it looks great, as can be expected of most PS3 games.

The classic arcade version runs "on rails"--your character is moved from position to position by the game, all you do is point, shoot, and RELOAD! (The announcer always screams "reload" for some reason.) TC4 adds the ability to look left and right in some scenes, a gun flashlight, and some interesting new opponents, but otherwise is pretty much the same formula as the earlier games--make it through each chapter without getting shot too many times and fight the boss at the end.

TC4 includes an FPS mode where you can move around using the Guncon's builtin joystick, but I found this frustrating and not nearly as fun as the classic arcade version.

TC4's Guncon is based on the "LED marker" technology used by the Wii and several other new controllers. Older Guncons used a video-sensing lightgun, but that method doesn't work with LCD/LED/plasma/projection TVs. The new design works with any TV, but I've found it is harder to calibrate and it really doesn't feel as accurate as the previous Guncons.

(Note that the new Guncon can't be used with previous TC versions, and old Guncons will not work with TC4.)

Time Crisis can be played with a gamepad, but it's a pain and I don't recommend it--moving the targeting cursor around the screen with a joystick is slow and awkward. The game's sole basis is really the Guncon; believe me, I've tried playing it without (as the old Guncons didn't work with my rear-projection TV....)

Should you buy TC4? For fans of the series it's an easy purchase, especially at the new low prices. If you're unfamiliar with the series, keep in mind there isn't much depth to it as there's no real strategy involved--it's just shoot, shoot, shoot. But for mindless fun and excitement it's hard to beat.

Duck Hunt to Lethal Enforcers to Time Crisis 4...to be honest, not much has changed. TC4 includes a Van Damme made for TV movie plot of a special forces team trying to take down an organization with secret bio-weapons...good enough justification for a game that includes nothing but you shooting at bad guys and insects and dodging their bullets.

Down to the nitty-gritty: the feel of the game. Replacing the arcade pedal, which allowed you to dodge and go into firing mode, is a B1 button, located just above your thumb on the shooting hand. To dodge and reload, you have to lift your shooting hand thumb (righties) and press down just behind the hammer. Easy enough, but you'll find your hand getting a bit sore from extended play. You have two analog-toggle controllers where the hammer is and in the section that juts out abruptly from the side of the gun. The first-person free movement is nothing special for experienced gamers, and is a moderate learning curve for beginners.

Accuracy: the game's setup includes two sensors that you manually hang from above the monitor; they're about an inch square and have a non-intrusive rubber-weight system to hold them into place. You'll spend a significant amount of time calibrating the gun to get just the right feel; it's a bit shaky to start, and for a 42" monitor, you have to stand at least about five feet away from the screen. But that's what the mini-games are for.

The mini games are, by far, the funnest part so far. If you've ever played the Point Blank arcade series, you'll enjoy approximately 15 shoot-the-moving-target type games in this section. You can play alternating competitively and also with a second GunCon. Simple fun, which, in essense, sums up the entire game.

The release of more thinker-oriented, patience required games such as Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc., will definitely be a load for gamers...TC4 provides that well-needed break. The free movement merely adds a non-revolutionary variation to the arcade game. i just recieved time crisis and my accuracy is fine. if you run through the 5 point calibration correctly it should be pin point accurate. in fact i was able to snipe people really far away with a pistol. also to comment on the problem of it being to complicated. for me it felt good. of course it took a few minutes to get adjusted to it but i like the controls. as for the price issue. this is only 20 more dollars than a regular ps3 game. so you are basically paying 20 dollars for the gun.they are planning to release more games for the gun so this is a good deal. i recomend this game to anyone. i give huge credit to the creators of this gun as it operates very well for shooting and moving at the same time. and the controls are simple after a little practice. i have ordered the wii zapper and can only pray it functions as well as the guncon.

Despite horrid reviews and people bashing this game for bad accuracy and a cheap gun, it's really not as bad as they say. In fact, it's not bad at all, it's great.

Starting with the gun itself. It very accurate. You can do a standard or 5 point calibration which works very well. You can make the gun as accurate ( or inaccurate as you like). One thing i've found though that may lead people to think it has poor calibration is the tv, not the game. Look at the screen used in the arcade. It's small and square. When you take into account a 40 plus inch widescreen tv, you've got more screen space to shoot at which means you must move the gun to a greater degree that in the arcade. If you unintentionally just move your wrists to aim the gun like i do sometimes, the accurracy is horrible ( so it seems) But it you were to look down the sights of the gun while you had your wrist flex over, you'll realize that it's shooting exactly where your pointing. SO you have to shoot the way you calibrated it. If you hold it like a cop does and shoot the five targets looking straight down the sights, you need to play the game like that. If you lax your grip and lower your gun, then yes, it's not going to be accurate because that's not the way it's calibrated. I believe this is where the whole "horrible accuracy gun" claims derive from.

As for gun quality. It's great. It's definatly not like the arcade, but then again if it was, you would be paying a whole lot more that $75 for it. The bright orange color is the main reason it seems cheap. The plastic casing on it is quite well, the seems are quite smooth and the texture of the plastic is unison. It doesn't have the platic swirls that cheap plastic toys do. The buttons are fine and very functional. the only thing I don't really like is the joysticks. The knobs that pop out are small and they aren't rubberized so my thumbs slip A LOT. But overall, the guns fine.

The game itself is fun too. For all those that complain about bad storylines...well, you don't play a light gun game for the story. It's basically a straight port from the arcade. So if you like the arcade version, you'll really love this because you don't need to constantly feed it quarters.

The FPS mode is unique. It's nothing to write home about. But it's definetly fun to try out. But it gets tiring quickly though because unlike something like Resistance, you have to constantly hold both arms up to shoot.

Overall, if you like TC. This is a no brainer. If your interested in this, you'll definetly find something to like. But if you have no interest in light gun games or TC.....then why are you reading this? =P

The Time Crisis series has been an Arcade and Playstation hit for years. With the evolution of the Guncon we now have a PS3 version. Now some of you may be wondering is an $80+ game worth the price. For me it's a resounding no. Of course on the outside this game has quite a bit of potential. Two versions of the game and even some mini games to keep you busy. It sounds like quite the deal but sadly isn't.

Setting up this game is not easy either. When you open the large box you get the new Gun Con 3 with an 8 foot usb cord. The game also comes with two infared devices that go above the t.v. These also connect via usb. For those of you who have a 40 gig PS3 you have just used both your usb ports. Setting up for calibration is not very easy and seems to be rather inaccurate.

The biggest shining light for this game comes from the exciting arcade edition of Time Crisis which still looks good on the PS3. The arcade edition is a lot of fun and feels exactly like the arcade game with all the action. Point down and the gun reloads. Simple controls for an overall good game. This was my first experience with this game and it was really quite an enjoyment.

The major downfall of this game was the PS3 edition of Time Crisis that was made especially for the PS3. Unfortunately where this game lacks is in it's complexity. What really hurts is the several functioning buttons on the Guncon 3. When I say several buttons I mean as many as a normal PS3 controller. I couldn't make up my mind whether I was playing a first person shooter or a gun game. From the beginning you not only go thru the normal shooting but the movement. Trying to get the calibration to work correctly was not very easy. I noticed several times that my shooting was off because of this. I was beginning to feel this would be done much better on the Wii. Having to worry about moving your character in every direction and shooting several enemies is no easy task. I played long enough to realize I didn't want to have to deal with remember the functions of a half dozen buttons.

I have played several Time Crisis games and this one fails on being too complex. Nothing felt natural about having to use a gun to move my character. In all this game had a lot of potential but tried to go way to far. If anything they would have made a simpler game for people who just want to shoot. I would not advise this to anyone unless they are a die hard Time Crisis fan and even then it would be ill advised.

I purchased the Nyko Metal pedal to replace my GHWT pedal. I had already broken one GHWT pedal, and my current one was showing signs of wear, so I decided to go ahead and purchase this pedal to see if it was any better than the stock pedal.

My first impression out of the box was that the pedal feels nice and sturdy. It feels like this pedal will stand up to a bit of abuse. Unfortunately, that is really this pedals only good point.

After receiving the pedal I plugged it in and started playing, my scores were noticeably lower than they were when using the stock GHWT pedal. I thought maybe I just need to get used to it, so I spent the last two weeks using this pedal in order to form a solid opinion: This thing is no good.

One problem with this pedal is that the spring has very little tension, and there is no way to adjust it. Due to this lack of resistance the pedal has no "Bounce". You press it down, and you practically have to lift your foot completely in order for the pedal to come back up. This makes fast kick notes extremely difficult.

Another problem with this pedal is that if you have carpeted floors this pedal will slide around everywhere. There is nothing on this pedal to give it good surface friction on carpet. You can add a PVC cross-bean to your drum set to hook this pedal on and keep it more secure, but you then lose the ability to place the pedal wherever is most comfortable.

Lastly, the response of the pedal leaves something to be desired. Songs with fast kicks or double-kicks are practically impossible to keep combo going. It seems to work okay on songs that don't have a lot of kick, but even then the pedal seems to drop notes occasionally (maybe a 3% drop note rate).

Connecting this pedal and the GHWT pedal in double-bass configuration does not work. Drops notes like crazy when set up like this.

After a couple of weeks I decided to switch back to my stock GHWT pedal(with some modifications to hopefully keep it from breaking). My scores were immediately higher again. I can keep combo on fast songs without problem.

If you are looking for an improvement to the stock GHWT pedal, this pedal is not what you are looking for.

I finally received the Nyko Metal Pedal (NMP), and put it through a quick test on both Rock Band 2 (RB2) and Guitar Hero World Tour (GHWT) on my Xbox 360.

As far as video game drum controllers go, I have the Rock Band, GHWT, RB2, and even the Rock Revolution controllers.

My first RB1 pedal cracked into two pieces. My second RB1 pedal developed a similar crack, and I purchased the Blockhead Hit Kit for its replacement pedal. My first GHWT pedal went defective as well. (My RB2 pedal has since replaced the Blockhead pedal, and is going strong.)

The NMP seems like the Rock Band 2 pedal design, super-sized. Both the base and the pedal itself are wider, but the overall design is similar. I prefer the larger size, as opposed to the Blockhead Hit Kit's smaller pedal.

In addition, for GHWT, you finally have a pedal that doesn't move during gameplay or tilt from side to side.

Also included is a dual pedal adapter, which is basically a splitter for the input jack. The NMP + RB2 pedal seemed to work fine for me in RB2. However, the NMP + GHWT pedal did not; the NMP would not always register. As soon as the GHWT pedal was removed from the splitter, the NMP would register every time. Perhaps on GHWT, you need two NMPs for it to work properly.

I'm not a fan of the art design, but it's under your foot all the time so who cares!

Pros:

* Like a super-size version of the Rock Band 2 pedal (that's a good thing)

* Includes a splitter for double bass pedals

Cons:

* Double pedal doesn't seem to work with NMP + GHWT pedal combo

Bottom Line:

You need this if you have a cracked pedal OR you want a Rock Band 2-style pedal for use with Guitar Hero World Tour.

This was a replacement peddle for guitar hero world tour. It actually works a whole lot better than the one that came with the game. It's bulkier that the original so you don't feel like your going to break it easy. The only gripe is that the cord is shorter than I like but thats just a minor gripe. This is a must by for any guitar hero or rock band player.

The original bass pedal that came with my Rock Band 2 set lasted for over a year until the plastic base cracked. So I purchased this pedal at Best Buy thinking it looked like a sturdy replacement.

Wrong. Dead wrong. After playing 4-5 times the plastic base cracked and split apart, making the thing useless.

I'll be buying the official pedal replacement this time around. Thanks for nothing, Nyko.

Want Universal Metal Pedal Discount?

This is a terrible pedal. I just took it out of the box, and it's been a huge letdown.

When using it as a double pedal with a splitter, the Nyko pedal only registers about 50% of all bass drum notes. It also weakens the standard black pedal by redirecting 50% of its power. I made sure to take off the yellow strip underneath, I made sure the splitter was set to "Guitar Hero" and I made sure that all connections were solid. Still didn't work.

I'm returning it and looking for another brand, if one even exists. Very disappointed.

I am several hours into the game and I am enjoying it as much as the others. There are a couple of gameplay improvements I wanted to mention because they will be of interest to people who have played the prior titles:

How time/quests are handled:

Like Totori there is one main quest goal you need to meet by a mid-point in the game or the game ends. Esentially you gain population points by achieving main "development" quests and you must reach a certain population count by a certain number of years.

Side quests now have no due dates. You can just accomplish them at your leisure for money. Often they tie into development quests so it all flows more naturally. Due to how they handled quests and time in this game you also feel that there is a better combat/synth/gather balance.

-Town development

Completing main quests allow you to build your town up. This has a multitude of in game effects, population increases etc. Areas that were once just fields will suddenly have people and houses. It makes the game world feel more alive.

You have resources right outside your front door.

There is a well and tree outside your workshop that allow you to gather a couple of common ingredience easily. This was kind of nice.

I'll update when I finish the game, but overall I am satisfied with the changes they made.

This is one of my tales games that I've played so far!!! It's no secret that the first Xillia was rushed and some things were cut out,but that gave Bandai Namco an opportunity to build upon that world, story and gameplay to make Xillia 2 the TRUE game of the Xillia world.

It has high replyability and a long story with tons of sidequests, the days will fly by before you know it! LOL

This game is fantastic, just as the first one. The characters finally have a second limit although it is in unison with the main character of the game. The choices you make will really shape the outcome of the game. Can't wait to play it again in English!! I also love the fact the main character could switch between 3 weapons. I hope future tales games have the feature with the characters.

This game is awesome. I am not a serious gamer. Most games I dont even finish because they start out fun and end up getting ridiculously hard. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but its fun and not too hard. If you like games that are fun, but dont get too hard, this is a good game for you. By the way, I am a mom of three :)

I love playing all the different characters. I am 51 and using it at the easiest setting. I seem to have the most trouble with spacing the jumps between places.

Unfortunately the starting point to some hard parts is far away and when you die you have to begin at the starting point each time instead of right at the difficult part. It would be much easier and not so frustrating if you could start at the difficult places each time.

You are suppose to be able to save the game where you want as well. Well I haven't been able to and contacted the place that puts it out in an e-mail about not being able to find the save feature. So far haven't heard back.

At the beginning of a new game it asks if you want to save the game, but you haven't played it yet and I don't know what it is actually saving. I went ahead and said yes to it the second time around and when I wanted to finish a game and save it, it told me if I quit I would loose the game. I have been all over the start of this game and can not find a save feature other than a pre asked save to a game. But even with that choice it can't be saved when I choose quit.

I payed $38. for a used one. And have to keep it turned on constantly so I won't loose my place since I am unable to save it.

Some of it is difficult as with spacing the jumps right that a young person would not be able to do.

I believe it says 10+ is fair. They maybe better cordinated than I am. I may not be able to finish it and have to wait until I can find a 10 yr. old.

Most of the game is enjoyable and fun if not for the distance jumping and dieing over and over again!

This was purchased for my grand daughter who would be staying with us for the summer holidays but also as a game my wife and I (both over 60yrs) may be able to enjoy.

As my grand daughter is 10yrs old she is quite used to operating the controls of the PS3 and quickly got into the game. When she asked me to take over while she had a break I actually managed to start using it, well more moving around in circles, but started to get the idea. I think it may well be something we will start to fight over soon. It is great fun.

I have not purchased this version yet because I have spent hours laboring in the original and was leary about losing my save files. Rest assured for anyone that is looking to procure the DLC on disk your original is supposed to be compatible with this. Below is the letter from Bethesda:

The DLC for Skyrim was released on the PSN in February. The Legendary Edition is compatible with your current saves, so you'll be able to enjoy the DLC either way you decide to purchase it!

Hope this helps out anyone who is on the fence about buying this terrific game!

As a game by itself, Skyrim is an epic Action RPG with one of the most richly details words on videogame history. But the key point of the Legendary Edition for the Playstation 3 is that PS3 users finally have access to all of the Downloadable Content that was only released for the X-Box360 Consuls. This are the Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn editions. All three are loaded into the game by 1, so you can add as much as you want when you want. Also, the latest "Patches" are also installed automatically (programming upgrades that fixed many of the bugs found in the original game) so things run a lot smoother.

Specific Information: Dawnguard is a new storyline about the reformation of a famous clan of Vampire Hunters and their struggle against a growing Vampire invasion and attempted conquest of the world. You can join either side and change the shape of the game. This gets you a host of new weapons (featuring the Crossbow) armor and Followers, including Armored Trolls, war Huskys and Hell Hounds as well as the chance to become an even more powerful form of vampire. (Even having access to perks for being a Vampire or Werewolf) Hearthfire is literally very close to home. You have the ability to Build your own properties literally from the ground up. The original game included locations you could purchase to live in, either by progressing in the Civil War Storyline or becoming a Thane in the five major Holds of Skyrim. Hearthfire allows you to buy and develop different plots of land form 3 of the four holds you could formerly not but property from (Only Winterhold has nothing to offer you but you still have a bed at the Mage's College). These new properties can be build upon using new materials designed just for building, you can mine for Clay and Quarried Stone and buy logs from Saw Mills, to build humble dwellings for 1 or giant halls each with three wings, an entranceway and a dug out cellar. If you have the materials; you can customize you mansions with a large selection of decorations, containers, furniture, crafting stations (The cellar can be turned into a Full Blackmith station, with Forge, Grindstone, Workbench, Tanning Rack and a Smelter). You can also hire Stewards to buy animals, hire a bard for your property, a horse, carriage and do other various tasks. Hearthfire also adds the ability to adopt children. You can adopt the kids from Honorhall Orphanage after assassinating Grelod the "Kind" or you can adopt some of the various orphans found wandering the streets of certain cities. Finally Dragonborn adds another impressive quest surrounding a Cult that worships another as the Dragonborn and believe your some sort of fluke and do everything in their power to exterminate you in preparation for the true coming of the Nordic Legend. Even travel back to the cursed island outside of Morrowind. All in all, if you have Skyrim for the Ps3 and yearn for all the bonuses the X-Box had, this is your chance to get them.

If you never played Skyrim before, please start right here with all the above extras plus all the amazing content in the original: Seek your true destiny as the Dragonborn, a legendary figure who can take the souls of vanquished Dragons and use their powers. Delve into the darkness of the assassin group, the Dark Brotherhood and try to survive their life or death contract killings and the power struggle between the followers of the Brootherhood's ancient ways and those following the power hungry Astrid, bent on ruling it with an iron fist rather then bothering with tradition. Join up with the Thieve's Guild and make coin the less-then honest way while uncovering a conspiracy that proves there is no honor among thieves. Enroll in the Mage's College of Winterhold and perfect your magical abilities and rid the school of a corrupt interloper. Or become one of the Companions, the greatest brotherhood of warriors throughout Tamriel and fight for honor glory and your Shield Brothers and Sisters. Choose to obey or refute the dark gods of the realm of Oblivion, earning the respect or ire of the Daedric Princes. And of course, save the world from the ongrowing threat of the most awesome forces to ever threaten the world of Tamriel; The Eater of Worlds, Alduin the Dragon lord. If your not already a fan of the game or the series, this is the perfect place to start, while longtime veterans would probably regret not getting the full experience. However, it IS very pricey for the DLC but most die hard Elder Scrolls Lovers will probably feel it's worth it, especially because you can't just download the updates from the internet. And those who have no ability to connect their PS3 to the internet (there seems to be a lot of people like that, including me) this physical disc is the only way to access these extras.

Buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition Now

The game is very fascinating, especially when I didn't get the chance to play the original. This ones comes with all the DLC, which is a plus for anyone who didn't get them yet. I've played many other games by Bethesda, and this one doesn't disappoint. It is very well crafted and enjoyable. The quests are fun and vary in content. The enemies are memorable and the combat (though not the best) is still fun. You get all kinds of things to do and see. You could explore this land and not get bored once you finish. There are framerate issues but it doesn't drive the player away from the experience. I suggest this game to anyone who loves RPG games because it truly is a masterpiece in itself.

I have a lot to say about this game! I checked out reviews before I bought it, looked at the ratings people left for it and decided to get the legendary edition since it had the extra DLC included. I have played over 60 hours so far and have a lot of trouble quitting once I start playing. I wanted to write a review that goes over different aspects of the game for someone that is a hardcore gamer like me. I also wanted to note that I used to play World of Warcraft years ago and the things I like about Skyrim are that it reminds me of WOW in that I get lost in the game but I like that I don't have to deal with other players and I can also play it without having to log in every day.

-Graphics

When I first started playing the game, (I am not going to be giving away any spoilers) I was so distracted by how real the graphics looked that I almost missed part of the dialogue. Everything from the dragons to other characters and the cities looks real, so it's easy to become immersed in the game's world. I used to be able to play for 8 hours in a day and now I just get to play about 2-3 hours if I'm lucky since I'm married. I had a day off of work where I played for 6 hours (not straight) and I still wanted to play more. So basically, the graphics are awesome and you can interact with almost anything in the game, I will talk about that later when I get into the controls.

-Sound

One of my favorite things about the game is the music that changes when you encounter animals/people that want to kill you or a dragon flies overhead. That's another fun thing, the dragons will drop out of the sky out of nowhere to kill you, it's very distracting when you're on a quest but also fun. The characters all have voices that you have to listen to, even though you can change it so there are subtitles. One thing I am not crazy about is that all the guards seem to sound the same no matter where you go. You would think that guards on opposite sides of the map would have different accents just like people from different parts of the country in the U.S.

-Gameplay

I think I have talked about a lot of the gameplay stuff already but there are a few more things I want to mention. Quests are fun and the game has a system where you can mark which quests you want to do and display on the map where to go to do it. The game comes with a map in the case but I realized after I played a while that you don't need it and it only shows the major cities/towns on it. I also think it's fun when guards or people in towns will tell you about a monster they saw or someplace to investigate and your map will show the location. It's hard not to race off to check it out right away. Also, I play a mage and it's cool that you can either hire people to help you out or have someone become your housecarl (I call them my slave >=) ) and fight the enemies for you while you stand back and cast spells. I have already been through a horse and a lady named Lydia that becomes your housecarl when you become the Thane of whiterun (it's like an honorary title.)

-Controls

I like the controls in the game, how you can assign different spells or weapons to each hand and also the favorite menu. That is just something where you can use the old school directional pad to assign spells, weapons or scrolls for quick access during a fight. The game will pause while you pick out the right spell/weapon. It would be nice if there was a hot button option like on a keyboard but that's one of the limitations of playing on a PS3 compared to a PC. I am on a PC all day at my job so I don't like to be on one when I come home. I also want to mention that you can pick up food, plates/cups, loot a whole treasure chest or pick and choose your items, and sit on benches or chairs throughout the game. You can also steal which will get you a bounty if someone sees you I think. I try to be a good law-abiding citizen and avoid jail so I am not sure of what constitutes a higher bounty.

-Monsters/enemies

There are a whole range of bad guys/things in the game from wolves and bears to various undead, machines and of course humans that want to kill you. I like the variety of enemies in the game and think they did a good job of creating them. You will be randomly walking along and be attacked by a bear/saber cat and with myself being a mage, I will be killed in two hits. It helps to have a helper/tank along with you to focus the enemy's attention. And then there are the dragons, my heart always beats faster when one of them swoops out of the sky. You bascially fight it, absorb it's soul, then can use dragon souls to unlock shouts, which are special abilities that let you do things like freeze enemies solid or use a burst of speed. You have to find the walls with the dragon writing on them to learn a shout though, even though you might not be able to use it at the time. Ok, now I'm getting distracted, I also want to say that the AI in the game is pretty good, if you are using cover the enemies will come and get you, and the dragons will circle around until they find a good landing spot and try to fry/freeze you with their breath or lumber over to you to try to bite you.

-Crafting/collecting

One of things that I can do for hours in the game is crafting. There is smithing, alchemy, enchanting and cooking. I haven't gotten into cooking at all as it seems kind of pointless, but alchemy is good for creating potions that you can either sell or use, enchanting is a good way to make your weapons/armor stronger and smithing is a good way to make money or create better armor for yourself instead of waiting to find it in a treasure chest or buying it. I wanted to mention collecting too because you will spend a lot of time doing that if you take up alchemy. The shops have a limited inventory and there are plenty of ingredients to collect in the game. Also for smithing it's easier to go and mine ore instead of buying it at the shops. I am a cheapskate so I never want to spend any money, and the adventure of finding a mine or collecting ingredients is fun and you will often discover places you didn't know existed. Crafting will increase your level in the game too but I try to keep a balance between that and adventuring.

-Skills

There is something called skills in the game and they are basically things that you choose to level up every time you increase in level. There are a whole bunch and I'm not going to list them here, but they do everything from allowing you to cast versions of more powerful spells, to being able to create better armor, to being able to create better versions of potions/enchantments. You also get to choose to level up magicka(mana), health or stamina every time you level.

-Leveling system

Not much to say about this, except I think it's a neat idea that not just adventuring gets you experience, if you get a crafting skill or a magic/weapon skill to the next level, your experience bar will go up. Sometimes you can level up while you are smithing. Also, there are books that will increase your level in a particular magic/skill, like destruction magic or one-handed weapons. This is an interesting idea and it adds something else to the game since you want to find all the books you can and read them once you discover this.

-Glitches/saving issues

I had read a lot of people's reviews from when the game first came out and that's why I got the legendary edition, to make sure all the bugs had been worked out. I have logged over 60 hours and only noticed a couple things: one time I jumped and was floating but I fixed it when I jumped again, and another time a cow was glitching up and down really fast until I got close to it. Other than that, I haven't seen ONE THING WRONG with the game. I will come back and provide an update when I have more hours logged but on my PS3 it runs beautifully and it might be the game I got or the ps3 I have (I got the 120 GB one in 2009), but I have no problems. One thing I do want to mention that might have made a difference is I turned off the autosave feature because I read that this causes problems. The only problem I have now is sometimes I will get killed and lose the last half hour of play time so I make sure to save whenever I enter a town or before a big fight.

In conclusion, I could talk about this game forever as you have seen. I love it and have a lot of trouble with not wanting to play it all the time. I am 33 and have been playing games for over 20 years and haven't been so addicted to a game in a long time. If you are looking for a good game and you like fantasy or adventure games like me, I would highly recommend this one! I haven't even touched the add ons yet that come with the game but I will write an update once I have a lot more hours logged in the game to comment on the expansions and also if I see any glitches.
