I live in North America and imported this because I love Dynasty Warriors and hate digital downloads. Empires is my favorite and this one did not disappoint. Much better than 6! Secondly, I would like to address a couple previous reviews. The guy that says this will not work on a R1 PS3 is wrong. All PS3 systems are region free. The only obstacle is the European PAL format (N America uses NTSC). This brings me to the reviewer that couldn't get it to work and any future buyers that may have this problem. You need an HDTV which most people have by now and an HDMI cable to hook to your PS3 which can be bought online cheaply. After that you have to go to output settings in the PS3 menu and select HDMI and it will work just fine. There's more detailed info on this online. If you can conqueror those minor obstacles dont hesitate to import this great game in its best form. Down with digital download only and Sony's stupid English only policy thats not even consistent considering the Yakuza games and Agarest War Zero got hard copies and only had Japanese dialog.

I ordered this because I wanted to own the actual disk (the US release is digital only). This works perfectly in a US PS3. The game is really fun too.

This will be my 34th "Warriors" title. I was very upset that this game was only downloadable in North America, so ordering it from Europe through Amazon.com was my best bet. It came within a reasonable amount of time and plays great. If you loved Dynasty Warriors 7 and Xtreme Legends, you will love Empires. The create a warrior is better than ever, and the empires mode is the best the series has seen. Alittle complicated at first, but easy to catch on. Support the "Warriors" Franchise and buy this game! Driver SF: Best Car Chase Game of All Time?

Turn the key and burnout in Driver San Francisco, which captures the iconic car chase feeling like few other game before it, including the previous Drivers and classic Driver 1.

THE CITY 10/10

The city of San Francisco unlocks by playing missions and mini games, with the difficultly level amping up each mission to that of the classic Driver's, later in the game. The city itself is one of the most realized cities in a game today, thanks to very impressive, but maneuverable traffic counts, all at a blazing 60 frames per second. The level of detail parallels something you'd see in an arcade game; very colorful, plenty of variety and alive. Thousands of pedestrians line the streets, definitely giving the city a realistic feel, unlike some other open city games that are like ghost towns... This is comparable to Midnight Club 2 and 3's massive traffic count. The game is a hi res work of art, with blue skies, bustling streets and some of the best hills in the world for flying through the air on, then slamming back to the ground with force. It's like a roller coaster on quite a few SF hills. It's a very large game, I'd say bigger than Midnight Club LA, but not as massive as TDU2, though that game didn't have the amazing detail of DSF either. Plenty to explore for hours. There is currently not a day/night cycle. I don't think game cities get much better, and I've been playing car games since the 80's. Top variety of roads, freeways and more. Also, plenty of random cop chases going on to watch or join.

VEHICLES 9/10

Plenty of variety of licensed vehicles including sportcars, muscle cars, big rigs, mini cars, trucks, buses, vans, you name it but no motorcycles sadly. Absolutely impressive variety onscreen at one time. On the freeway, I count over 50 cars onscreen at once, all with high detail close up. Each has a different feel to the handling, all well done. And if you enjoyed the game 18 Wheeler from Sega, jack a tractor trailer complete with trailer, and drive or smash your way to your destination as you please.

THE CONTROLS 10/10

These are easily some of the most responsive controls in the car game genre. You can flick the car back and forth at lower speeds up to 111+ mph, or smooth out your turning with smooth precision. The direction you take it is up to you and your driving skills. The vehicles feel weighted with great physics known from the Reflections team, with plenty of opportunities for crashing and flipping your vehicle all about. This is classic Driver revved up to an entirely new level of intensity. The emergency brake is present, though will require the most practice to master, along with a new ram button for added power, a boost and the chance for more skillful stunts: Reverse 180's, drifting, e-brake corners, burnout circles, ramming, the list goes on. Keep in mind, this game requires skill to truly master the controls, as was true with Driver 1, with each vehicle offering a unique handling experience. Set up includes 3 default options, but no mappable button layout. The e-brake is set in stone on the circle button, turning with the left analog, gas right bumper, brake left bumper, ram and shift.

SHIFT 10/10

Think of shift as the ability to instantly zoom into an overhead view of the map, then warp into any vehicle you want in as much time as it takes you to see it. Shift in the next level of "choose your own ride". No waiting to open doors and pull people out. There is no delay, literally. See it and you can drive it. With this instant option, you can imagine what incredible gameplay thrills you can devise. As you play, it upgrades to allow a higher view of the city if you prefer. There's no on foot, but this is the next best thing, and honestly, this game shines even without on foot.

SOUND 9/10

Great selection of classic 70's style tunes along with some modern hits and remixes. The city atmosphere is present if you shut off the music, with honking horns and city sounds. The cars and vehicles sound pretty much like the real deals, with plenty of crisp, gurgling power and bass to their roars.

OPTIONS

Options are limited, preset control choices, options for vibration, volume of voices, music, effects and engine. Online options too, but missing the classic cop difficulty option.

STORY: 8/10

Featuring very impressive character models, the story takes the famous Tanner into another state of mind after being struck by Jericho, his arch enemy. In this state of an out of body experience, Tanner interacts much like a regular Driver game, but with the added ability of shift, allowing him instant teleportation as he wishes. Solid storyline overall, with a very unique take on a driving game, filled with plenty of action.

CAMERA VIEWS 10/10

You have an excellent close 3rd person car view, next in the cycle is one of the most useful and playable interior dash views in existence, a front hood view where you can see the hood, and lastly, a FPS view with just the road ahead of you. All views are highly playable and useful, partly thanks to the easy to flick left, right, back and front camera flick views, which allow precision looks as well with a fine touch of the right analog. A neat new feature is the zoom, where you can zoom in left, right or forward to get a closer view while driving with the left analog.

EXTRA MODES 9/10

There's one of the best multiplayer selection of games available in a car game, including the much hyped TAG mode. Tag mode is also available in single player, but so far, you need to jack a police car to tag the crooks scattered generously all around the city. To say Tag most is an absolute blast is an understatement. It floors the competition in terms of other open city chase games with cops and robbers.

Film Director is back, with about 5 minutes to record your own footage, though the options could've been more generous with camera views. It's a big improvement over Driv3r nonetheless.

CHASES 10/10

There are few games that compare to DSF when it comes to capturing that Hollywood Chase, only this time, Reflections puts you right in the driver's seat as though you were actually there. Slam into the pavement from a ten foot coast off a tall hill, and you'll feel the impact as the interior shakes wildly for a brief moment, absorbing the impact. The sense of speed picks up the faster you go naturally, with an excellent sense of speed. Most importantly, the chases are challenging as you careen through the city after your target, blasting through alleyways choked with litter, busting through crowds of pedestrians, light poles and debris. As the game progresses, the chases become more clever, and there's even a mode of chases that allows you to relive famous recreations from the best car chase movies ever made. Brilliant.

FINAL THOUGHTS

If you even half-liked Driver 1 or 2, give this game a green light or you'll be missing out on an absolutely classic car chase game with few equals. Highly recommended. Overall, 9/10. Don't miss it. Spread the word, Driver San Francisco should be next on your list of must-play games. Driver is better than ever.

Just picked up my copy from GS today, Ubisoft did a great job, the city is great, physics are better than GTA but obviously not as good as GT5, graphics are very good. the city is alive, you can see cop chases and stuff while enjoying free drive, and finally a game where you can drive regular cars too, not just exotics, the game is perfect, with two major flaws, theres no manual transmission and no dynamic weather, its always sunny. In game music is very good, engine sounds and other effects are not bad too, multiplayer is very fun. Grab your copy and enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions or comments, I ll try to answer as quick as possible.

PS: If you loved Midtown Madness series, you ll be very happy with this game.

Buy Driver San Francisco Now

Full disclosure: I bought this game because I live in San Francisco and thought it'd be neat to virtually drive around my city at breakneck speeds in exotic cars I can't afford.

My reaction:

1. The video game map of SF is not accurate to reality. So if you were planning on moving or visiting here, and were hoping to use this game as a way to help you learn how to get around the city...Well, I'd re-think that plan. The general locations of the neighborhoods are correct, but some prominent landmarks are in totally random spots or are missing all together. I guess I can't blame Ubisoft for doing this, otherwise it'd be an entire map of parallel and perpendicular streets in a grid (with lots of 4-way stops). Would be kind of boring. I was a bit disappointed at first, but I got over it because...

2. This game is extremely entertaining, packed with value. Now, It's probably weird using the word "value" to describe a video game. But hear me out. There are literally hundreds of missions, races, dares, activities, chases, etc. that have kept me busy for weeks. I guess I've gotten used to the standard game play lengths of a few days for video games nowadays, but it's insane how much there is to do in this game. I was disappointed after shelling out the money for this game and seeing that the map is barely like San Francisco, but I quickly changed my mind and felt I got a great deal with the entertainment factor.

3. Graphics are great, the variety of cars is plentiful, online multi-player is pretty fun, and the "Shift" feature is a time saver and brings a creative/unique dynamic to the gameplay. Traditional racing games like Gran Turismo have more cars, more realistic tracks, and true-to-life handling of the vehicles, but those traditional games tend to be cumbersome and boring after a short while. This car game is more like Grand Theft Auto due to the storyline you play along to and the ability to travel anywhere anytime free form. So it's more entertaining to play in my opinion (see #2).

Anyways, "Driver: SF" is totally worth the price. Get it.

I haven't played the entire game yet but I can just tell right now that this game is AWESOME. The attention to detail and the fun factor are where the game truly shines. Police chases are super fun, free roam is awesome, missions are unique and enticing... Imagine a world where you can drive down the street and commandeer ANY car you want... That's Driver San Francisco. Let me just put it this way: If you like the DRIVING aspect of Grand Theft Auto but want a little more DRIVING action, better environments, and are sick of shooters, PLAY THIS GAME! Thank you.

I've only played this title for approx. 4 hours total over a span of a week.

Game is top-notch with immersible play and content with such a original twist called Shift.

Moving from one car to another on the fly is seamless, while using Shift to ensue traffic collisions and unique advantages keeps me motivated to continue with the game.

I've played the original Driver on PS1 years ago and today's Driver is very similar in feeling, however offers so much more for re-playability and desire to explore.

There are other reviews I am sure are much more technical, my review is purely my opinion and the enthusiasm of my experience.

Cheers!

I bought mine as a demo display model, so there were a few scratches here and there. Overall, the build quality was nice, and definitely a step up in weight over the plasticy Rockband guitar controller. The neck is made up of real wood too! I also like the overall design as it feels less like a toy. Weighting wise, it's a little lighter than a real electric guitar. Size wise, the neck is a tad smaller as well. However, besides the top fret buttons jamming underneath the neck (it happened once so far after 3 months, and all I did to fix it was press down and slide it back out), I'd say this is a great guitar controller to purchase. I would give it 5 stars if it didn't have the jamming issue. Even my apartment mates love the overall feel. The pick action feels more controlled in their opinion. Oh right, in Rockband, the starpower button is one of the lower ones under the strum button instead of being the whammy bar. Might be programmable, but I normally play Frets on Fire on PC using this controller instead of Rockband on PS3. The wireless dongle has a USB and PS2 controller plug, so this can be used on PS2 and PS3. I don't think it advertises that it can be used on PC, but it does work for me on Windows 7RC. I just plugged it in (connected online), and it automatically installed the driver for this guitar to work.

DOA... Dead on Arrival!!! The guitar doesn't work. The wireless connector doesn't even pick it up. Its just a dead useless guitar to me.

Overall the guitar is a good buy..only issue, which I previously looked up before I purchased the guitar,is the fact that the buttons stick every so often which can ideally be pretty irritating when playing on hard songs. Thus if you Hit the buttons on the lower part of them they do not stick so that is a plus, lubing them up helped also.

On the bright side the weight and feel of the guitar is great, it feels life-size and realistic, which is always a plus...

I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something not to expensive but also a decent non-plastic guitar controller. Well worth it considering the replicas of other guitars cost $150ish. Enjoy..

Sometimes you are wrong about something and you are sad to learn you could be so stupid. This is not one of those times. I was a little disappointed with the length of Time Crisis: Razing Storm so I bought this game to use with my MOVE Precision Shot 3 and was glad I did.

The Good:

The different motifs and varied environments keep you entertained and ready for more.

The sections take close to thirty minutes to complete. Just about the time your hand starts to hurt you have made it to the end.

The set designs are AMAZING, and get better as you progress through the game. When I played the Western themed demo I was not impressed, the further you progress the more inventive and elaborate the sets get. The Sci-Fi Robots and Zombies are very detailed and well done.

Playing through a scene again you start to see combo shots that you may have missed last time.

Small details like reflecting light from lamps and robot lights would not be possible on the Wii.

I thought Time Crisis: Razing Storm would be the better of the two Move shooters but I was wrong.

The Bad:

The gun calibration has a tendency to drift. The problem starts when you calibrate the aim. The developer only provides two shots for reference points. This leaves you retrying the calibration multiple times to have it feeling right with the gun attachment. You will also notice while playing the aiming crosshair will, like I said, drift a little to the left or right from when you calibrated. I do not know if it is from scooting around on the couch from the spot you originally calibrated. This may be a problem with the move tech, I hope not. Some light gun shooter purist will find this unacceptable and I can understand why. I love the feeling of aiming down the gun sites with no onscreen curser AREA 51/Point Blank style. When they figure out how to do it with the Playstation Move I will be overjoyed.

If you can get past not using the iron sites then this game is worth the price of admission. Light gun fanatics like me should have a blast.

...can someone tell me why the hell is the 2 player version of this game is locked!? so to be able to play 2players first you have to play the 1player version and unlock each level! its pretty sad when my nephew has to sit there and watch me play the 1player version first jus so he can play too!!! WTF are the developers thinking!? its 2011 why are game companys still making these kinds of mistakes!?

Buy The Shoot (Motion Control) Now

Just a heads up for people who want this for two player capability. You must clear a level first to make it available for two in the score mode.

Note that you also must clear a level at a high enough score to unlock the next level what this means is you need to do a lot of solo playing to unlock levels before you can enjoy any casual two player action. I would also say that by the time you clear a level you aren't exactly in the mood to repeat the level all over in two player.

So this game is not a good choice if you want to jump right in and play with a friend. (Just another example of the ridiculous mindset that refuses to let you have fun playing a game with a friend because of some arcane code of logic that makes you spend hours of grinding to earn the right to use two player.)

Otherwise its a fun shooter for playstation move, but see other comments on the calibration there is some trial and error needed to get it to aim right.

Read Best Reviews of The Shoot (Motion Control) Here

The move does one thing very well, and that is shooting games, the accuracy combined with the HD capability is giving us an arcade light gun experience at home. The Shoot plays like a classic on rails "light gun" game but sheds convention like a snake losing skin throughout the 5 episodes that dot the brightly colored cartoonish backgrounds and foregrounds. There is more to do than your average gun game as well, you are looking for poster pieces to unlock non shooter style minigames one for each scenario. You also have to focus on accurate shooting as unlocking the next movie requires a few tries in the later levels but you will master the tactics of the games RAMPAGE/SLOWMO/GROUNDBLAST doing so. Once you learn the tricks you can go for high scores on the individual chapters of each shoot, or play the challenges in co-op. Debris and set pieces will block your shot as the foreground and background and targets are all in their own space making this game highly replayable even though the targets pop up in the same places each play through and the bosses never vary their routine. This is where we get to the missing star if this game had randomized targets and didn't lose calibration sometimes when doing the slo-mo 360 spin I would go higher. As it is I was smiling all the way through the playable credits. Bring on the DLC.

Want The Shoot (Motion Control) Discount?

Don't get me wrong, this is a great game, but with some problems. The first problem is save points. I played this game about 30 minutes or so, and was taken back to the beginning after I died. I then started over, and the same thing happened. So, I invested one hour into a game, and have to start at the beginning with a scene I already saw. I finally decided to play again. I finally beat the train gang level, but was told I needed 400,000 points to open the next level. Are you kidding me? I work. I don't want to play the same level because I saw it, and want to see new stuff. Guess not. I played it a fourth time, and went to the Robot level, but was still upset with all the time I wasted trying to open new levels (the trick is to sit closer to the TV,instead of 15 feet away. LOL). This is a precision game, and is based off of multipliers. So, if you shoot 30 cardboard figures in a row, and then miss, your multiplier is now 15.

The second problem I saw was "Showtime". To activate "Showtime", you have to twirl the Move controller 360 degrees. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but moving the controller towards me and back to the screen in a full circle. The problem I found though is that if the Move controller is tilted upwards, Showtime doesn't work. The directions at the beginning of the game didn't really explain Showtime well enough, although I figured it out, and have activated it several times. The problem is that this motion feels awkward. Why couldn't I point at something on screen to activate Showtime instead of twisting my wrists?

The third and final problem I have is that you must move the Move controller to the left or right to avoid certain shots like the Quickdraw minigame or when the bad guys throw knives at you (if you don't shoot the knife). For me, this has no place in a light shooter game. Takes away from the fun factor IMO.

Overall, this is a very fun game, although very frustrating because of the save points and the movements to get special moves going. I think it would be better to press a button on the Move controller or point at an object on screen. I do believe if Sony addressees these issues, The Shoot 2 will be a hot selling game.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to mix pokemon, yu-gi-oh, marbles, Mario Party mini-games and, ummm, jumping in rain puddles? No? Well, neither had anyone else until Bakugan came along.

Here's the basic premise: two monsters fight it out on a board, and the one with the higher HP wins. That's it. However, the process by which you get to this point is almost utterly incomprehensible, requiring you to build decks of cards, use sixaxis motion control, exploit certain field advantages, and even use a modicum of strategy. You see, before this battle even starts, you have to lay out certain cards on the field (called "gate cards"), and, by using a variety of motions on the sixaxis controller, you have to throw and steer your bakugan onto these cards. During this process, you can collect a number of power ups, depending on the battlefield, and can also be hit with certain status effects, etc. Once you land on a card, you can claim it in one of three ways...blah blah blah.

Here's the weird thing: despite the huge number of things you need to do to set up a battle, battles are remarkably repetitive. I mean, no matter the field element, no matter the rules, everything feels...pretty much the same. And ultimately, this is the downfall of Bakugan there isn't enough other stuff going on to break the monotony of these battles. I mean, no one will deny that pokemon is incredibly repetitive, battle-wise. Yet, you still have the ability to explore a world. In Bakugan, you are pretty much limited to four environments, two of which offer nothing but battles, one of which is a store, and the last one is your room. You don't actually move your character the environments are static, and you are offered choices (in your room, e.g., you can "change clothes," "check personal stats," "check rankings" and "save".).

Another problem with this game is that it is very, very easy. I have no problem making a game accessible to a younger audience (and since this game arises from a television cartoon series, it's clear that this is the target audience). But there is little to nothing even approaching strategy in this one. If you aren't strong enough, you just fight in the park against opponents until you can power up your creatures or deck. Even a poorly made deck can win a lot of battles (and since there are only 9 cards in a deck, three of which are the creatures you fight with, it's not so hard to figure out what's going on). You are already two tourneys into the game before the enemies even become normal difficulty.

There is a story in the game. It is completely forgettable.

There is one big plus: the cel-shaded graphics look quite nice. Pokemon should take a cue for its next outing on the Wii.

There is a kernel of a good idea here: this is one of the very, VERY few titles that the sixaxis controls actually improve (although I don't know if that's merely because everything is so repetitive). The weird mix of things to do is oddly charming, but it just never comes together. Sure, you can roll your bakugan around the arena collecting powerups, but why would you? Most battles can be won without them (particularly since the minigames power up your character incredibly, and you will ALWAYS beat the computer). As a multiplayer game, this might be OK. But I don't play multiplayer, and since it lacks an online component, most others won't, either.

I would say give this game a rental before you purchase it. That's probably all you'll need, anyway.

I bought this game knowing nothing about the series, other than the general idea of little toys with creatures in them. The game starts off with a tutorial which teaches you everything you need to know.

If you know nothing about Bakugan, like I did, and you are slightly interested in this, I would get it. The game is fun in many different ways. In a way I can see how people may think it's a tad repetitive, but there's so many different combinations of Bakugan and ability cards and gate cards that it makes it so easy to change it up and seem like new again.

If you are a fan of this Bakugan, like my brother, you should definitely buy this game. My little brother (15) loves the show and now loves the game since I bought it. He and I battle in the game all the time.

This game is very fun and addictive, and for such a low price it's almost a must buy. I bought it for $6-7 dollars, and that was money well spent. My only issue with the game was the way the graphics are designed. They do stay true to the tv show anime, but my seem a little childish at times. Nonetheless, an amazing game and I do not regret buying this game one bit!

It's cool to receive your own turbo controller. Personally I never use the six axis function included; nevertheless it seems well built but on the other hand, the button symbols (X,O...) just washed away during the first week of usage. Now I have black buttons all over the control. Also the keypad tends to get stuck when I press it down, that's a problem because I need to quickly turn off/on it to get it back on track, of course if you're playing COD or Resistance, tell me how valuable are those seconds... they just kill you like 5 five times while waiting...hehehe.

The usb device works fine, not that many troubles as I expected.

The worst controller I've ever purchased and when I emailed the company I never got a reply. This product stopped working in less than two days, if anyone has one that is still working then you're lucky or I was unlucky buying a controller that was made on a Friday, There are several other controllers out there that have better quality control and work longer. I have to say that at first I thought it was the batteries but after the batteries were replaced twice this still met with negative results. I also emailed that company and that also met with the results that's unacceptable in my book, this controller was placed in the box it came in good luck if you buy it and if it fails good luck contacting DreamGear. I was surprised when this arrived it does work fine, but note that it uses normal batteries (two AAA I think), not rechargeable like the more expensive controller included with the Sony PS3 game console.

But works fine and is very acceptable for a 2nd controller where you don't want a wire. Does use up one of the USB connections on the console when in use.

This controller is great. It does what it's supposed to do but the only reason why it was 4 stars overall was because the blue led is located in the front of the controller which can be blinding if you play at night like I do. No problems with connections as others pointed out. It's best value for the price.

Bleach Soul Resurreccion is America's first Sony developed Bleach game. Although we have not received many of the PSP ones, Bleach Soul Resurreccion is a great first entry for the franchise on this system. Rather than being a fully fledged fighter type game, it takes the established hack and slash formula but adds a bit of the good ole Bleach flair to it. What this created was a fun yet extremely short story experience that highlighted 14 key moments of the arc in the franchise with some narration that was heightened by the fact that we could play through these moments. Ultimately, it was enjoyable.

The real joy of the game comes from over 25 different missions that can be played by a majority of the games 21 member cast. Missions can vary between defeating 100 soul reapers, to being handicapped by not being able to jump. It is here that I have to replay and build my characters level to take on opponents in three different difficulty modes to be able to unlock more soul points (utilized for raising the characters level and growth, up to lvl 175) to have character gain new abilities and better states. What is the price, perhaps gratification and being able to complete numerous trophies. This game prides itself on replayability and because of the Bleach franchise and playing as Rukia, Hitsugaya in his bankai state, Byakuya, Ichigo in his bankai state, Grimmjow, and others, it wont get old for a long time. The story mode took me naught but six or so hours, while missions mode is taking me quite a long time. In addition to missions mode there are character figures to collect, with voice clips, which is a nice touch.

Graphically the game looks great via its manner that emulates the anime. The opening animation appears to be a different take on various scenes on the anime and looks great. Attacks in the game are flashy and gorgeous. It never gets old seeing them. There are numerous attacks for the characters, close to six or more for some of them that all look true to the anime as well. This adds variety for the controls on top of being stacked on simple combination attacks and skills that can be chained together for combinations. I have been able to chain numerous combos to try to get to 2000, which is possible.

The game allows one to play in both English dialogue and Japanese dialogue, music is the traditional rock type for this genre of gameplay and some songs are pretty addictive and nice while others are just fitting. Characters that are not part of the playable 21 still appear during the game and chime in to talk to your main character and often sometimes its fitting, hilarious, or just true to the anime counterpart.

The only faults of the game is that the storyline is short, varying degrees among fans about the fights in question (anyone can argue for or against the importance of the ones shown), no online multiplayer or co-op (considering Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, a game in the same genre has it, it is a baffling omission), no anime cutscenes (it would have made it nice to have considering this is based on the anime, however the cutscenes it does offer using the games visuals are nice), and lastly, the games story could have been told in a way that would help newcomers to Bleach take part, the way it is told through narration using the same Voice Actor as the anime, it drops names with no faces to many characters it refers too and the story and is a rather brief overview leaving out some details. However, if one is experiencing Bleach for the first time, it provides enough background that they can understand what is happening, and maybe, check out the anime once they finish the game.

All in all, this game is definitely worth it and a great use of the Bleach license. I love playing as Ichigo, Uryu, Rukia and other characters, and the fact that there is mission mode, which also incorporates something from the as yet to be released in America, Hell Arc character, there is fun to be had. Definitely check it out if you are a Bleach fan, as one wouldnt want to miss this.

Let's start off with what they did right, shall we?

The Good:

They did a good job at making you feel like you're a kick butt Bleach character in powered up mode--all of the enemies die relatively easily. This can be a bad thing as well, but a simple difficulty increase fixes that problem. There is lots of replay value (assuming it doesn't bother you that the side quests outnumber the main storyline content in orders of magnitude) that will keep you busy and upgrading your characters for quite some time. They did a decent job at making all the characters have different strengths, and mostly different attacks. Hell, they even threw in unlockable guys gated behind the last sidequests, which will give you something to aim for.

The Bad:

This game just FEELS like it should have been a fighter, and not an action/RPG. There is very little story, and it skips large segments of the Bleach storyline to the point where it is basically spoiling the story for you if you haven't yet read/watched that far in the manga/anime. It even implies that certain characters beat certain bosses, where in the manga they simply fought (and the battle didn't neccessarily come to the conclusion you would think). The game doesn't explain how you went from point A to point B a lot of times (especially near the end), but again, that ties in with the lack of a cohesive story. As I alluded to earlier, the main story is EXTREMELY short. By that, I mean I beat it in a single morning--and this was with breaks to play the mission mode (the sidequest/repeatable missions I spoke of earlier).

And that's pretty much it. If you are reading my review and think it sounds really negative...well, I guess it kind of is. BUT, this isn't to say I don't think it's worth a playthrough (assuming you already know the storyline--don't spoil it for yourself) because it is. If you're a big Bleach fan (and love hack and slash action games) I'd even go so far as to say buy it. Maybe not at it's current $60 price tag, but you can decide on what your money is worth. They could have done so much more with this game, but I think it's worth spending some money on, if only to let developers know that you'd like a better version of this in the future.

The game may be a hack-n-slash game that gets repetitive after a few hours, but bleach fans would agree that the smoothness and appearance of the game make it worth having for the PS3. Cel-shaded anime games never looked so good and the voice actors are the same as in the show (i play in japanese though so i dunno about the english voices).

Of course, there are things that could be better, like more characters, more diverse power system (i.e. start in shikai then advance to bankai using the power meter thing they put in or something like that), and a longer story (14 episodes is really short... took like an hour or 2 to beat.... why couldn't they have started form the beginning of the story like other anime games do?, but the stuff that's in there is good. Characters are different enough that you won't get bored for a while (and some characters are just ridiculous...) and the graphics and combat system help keep you entertained (dynasty warrior fans know what i'm talking about for the combat thing). And there are a bunch of trophies for people who care about that stuff.

Overall, this game is a great start to bleach games on PS3. I hope they keep them coming!

First off if you only watch the english dubbed episodes do not play this game it will spoil the rest of the series for you. Dont get me wrong i am extremely happy this game was released over here but considering how much this game covers its surprising that it was released. i mean we are on episode 200+ over here while this game covers 300+ episodes over in japan even the 4th movie(the 3rd movie has not been released here it comes out in november), so like i said if you dont want the series spoiled do not play this game. For me and others like me who have watched the japanese shows with english writing get this game. its a great game its hack and slash and you can level up your characters. it covers all the important battles in the show. the only complaint i have is that all the characters have the same attacks just a lil different. there is alot of replay lots of modes. overall its a fun game and must own for bleach fans. Sorry about the review its just a quickie so no comments about how the review is written please :)

I'm sure most of the people who will buy this game are Bleach fans. Most of us have been waiting for a good Bleach game on PS3 for a while. We now have our wish with Bleach: Soul Resurreccion. I will say that if you're not a fan of hack and slash games then you probably won't like this game even if you're a bleach fan. I understand why some of the reviewers have called this game repetitive but I honestly don't get that feeling. There are several missions to unlock, story mode, and other challenges as well. Add in the fact that you can play with multiple characters on multiple difficulties (you start with normal and hard but unlock very hard as well). Also, I will agree this game has a Dynasty Warriors "feel" but it is certainly not a Dynasty Warriors clone. My only gripe with this game is the fact that they left out some of my favorite characters (although I'm hoping they're just saving them for the next Bleach game). So my final pitch for this game is simple. If you like Hack & Slash games give this game a try. If you don't like Hack & Slash games then don't buy it. If you like Hack & Slash AND Bleach then this is a must buy.

I'm sure this cable would be fine for a PS2 on a CRT TV. Stay away if you use a PS3. Image is horrible at any resolution on an LCD TV. Contrast that with the same type of cable I picked up at Gamestop which produced a much better picture. Still less than HDMI, of course, but leaps and bounds above the near unusable image produced by this cable.

This cable "works" in that it will send a picture from the PS2 to your TV. Tested it with "Shadow of the Colossus" in interlaced mode and the image looked okay except for some faint diagonal lines that were mainly noticeable in the darker areas of the screen. Switched to progressive mode and immediately noticed a softness to the image. It was especially noticeable on white text which became surrounded with color distortions reminiscent of anaglyph 3D images made for the red and green/blue glasses.

The cable may work just fine for you if you're not ultra critical about picture quality. I've not been too distracted by the inherent flaws of this cable to enjoy some games, but beware that it is not likely to produce a perfect image.

PS2 review on 42" Panosonic HDTV

PROs

in game text is more crisp(clear & easy to read)

sound is pretty good

graphics look alot better

CONs

tight fit into back of Ps2 Slim version

due to ps2 games being made at 680x480 revs, the image will not fit the whole screen(black side bars), but this is easy to fix by changing the aspect ratio setting on your HDTV. And that will cause stretching. I was able to get full widesrceen(black bar at the bottom & top.they were NOT thick) with only a little stretching.

Other

All HDTV are not made the same so you may get worst or better results than I got. Make sure your HDTV has the correct aspect ratio adjust settings.

I bought Marvel VS Capcom 3 when it first came out. And then not long afterwards I saw this game Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 available for pre-order. My first reaction is "WHAT?!?!?!" So it upset me, but because I'm a fanboy, I decided to get this game as well and sell the original Marvel VS Capcom 3. Playing this game I'm glad there are a lot of new additional character but I thought DLC (downloadable) charaters; Jill and Shuma Gorath will come for free. And I was wrong. So my final verdict: This game is still fun but in a way its also upsetting because of how Capcom (the maker of this game) rip us off. Lucky for people who didn't bought the original game and buying this game instead.

I've played quite a few fighting games and this is the very definition of "easy to play, hard to master". There's a simple mode which you can button mash and pull off combos. Normal mode isn't that bad ether as long as you don't button mash, just switch up the button combination and you'll link up moves. Despite the intro friendly gameplay, as I said before, there is more to it then that. Hardcore fans of this game will quickly show you (Online or off if you know anybody). Characters are awesome and the graphics looks great. As long as you didn't own the first MVC3, this is a good buy.

Even though it hasn't been that long since Capcom released Marvel VS Capcom 3, here we are already with Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3; an update that gives us a handful of new fighters, new modes, and a more balanced fighting engine to boot. Essentially what Super Street Fighter IV is to Street Fighter IV, UMvC3 throws in some additional fighters like Ghost Rider, Phoenix Wright, Frank West, Nemesis, Doctor Strange, Nova, and more besides (plus the two downloadable content characters, Shuma Gorath and Jill Valentine). There's also the ability to play as Galactus in Arcade mode, some new special moves, backgrounds, and extras. The real star here besides the new fighter additions is that there have been some slight revamps to the fighting engine. Things just feel and play more balanced than they did the last time around (i.e., no more getting slaughtered everytime Phoenix turns into "Dark" Phoenix), even though the option between "Simple" and "Normal" controls still feels overly cheap. All in all, Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 is as much of a blast as it was the last time around, but whether or not its worth laying down the cash for is entirely up to you in the end.

Let's face itthe original Marvel vs Capcom 3 was pretty disappointing. The whole thing felt rushed, some characters were clearly overpowered (hey, just like in MvC2!), online gameplay was a nightmare, and it lacked polish. It was obvious that another iteration was going to come out, and as soon as Ultimate was announced, I sold my copy without hesitation. The final weeks leading up to UMvC3's release had me hyped, since I couldn't wait to get what could be the 'true' version of the game. While it's definitely better than the original, Ultimate still has its share of problems. It's only been out for a few weeks, but character balance is still an issue, though not quite as much, and people are still throwing hissy fits over the lack of MegaMan for some reason. But if you're looking for a much better online mode, Ultimate is for you, and you should pick it up. For anyone else who didn't get into MvC3 or is new to the Versus line, you really need to rent this game, as describing how it plays will only do so much.

I'll talk about the gameplay first for the newcomers. You select three characters for your team to fight against others. Each character is given a unique assist move that you can use during battle. You'll need to use assists with some strategy if you want to really get good at the game, but if you're playing this game for casual fun, you can spam them like there's no tomorrow and still get something out of it. Every character's moves are differentsome can shoot fireballs, others can counter physical attacks, some provide barriers, etc. Fighting is a lot faster than something like Street Fighter, and being patient and waiting for the right moment to strike is not a good way to play UMvC3. Sometimes a character will be killed as soon as they're in a combo. No jokeyou can bring someone new out, only to have them get launched up into the air and beaten into oblivion before doing anything, only to have your next character come out. The moves in this game are light attack, medium attack, heavy attack and the special launcher move, similar to the Dust attack from the Guilty Gear series. It's the move that throws your opponent in the air, allowing you to go nuts with combos and team attacks. The other buttons call out your other team members to use their assist attacks, and holding the assist buttons down switch out to the selected character. Everyone has unique Super attacks too, like the Ultras in Street Fighter 4, and if you have enough meter, you can break out your whole team to use all of their Super moves at once, usually dealing massive damage. The game's crazy, and if you haven't seen any gameplay videos, you need to in order to get just how nuts it is. Plain and simpleit's not for everyone, and I even get frustrated with the game a lot, but that's mostly because I'm still relatively new to tag team-based fighting games (Guilty Gear X2 Accent Core Plus, The Last Blade 2, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike and Capcom vs SNK 2 are what I'm used to).

Alright, for those who played the original, how much did this new version fix, and how much did it mess things up? Well, hardcore fighting game fans will already know most of this, as the majority of the changes had to do with fixing moves and balancing characters out...well, most of them. Characters that barely got used in the original, like Hsien-Ko and MODOK, aren't much better here, and it's painful to see them still getting pulverized. Others that were stupidly overpowered and practically button masher-friendly (ieWolverine) got toned down, but are still very good. And then there's Wesker. Oh Mr. Alberto Del Wesker...what were they thinking? Look, I'm not whining about this by any means, but taking one of the top 5 characters in regular MvC3 and making him even better makes you wonder what goes on at Capcom behind closed doors. Now, he has a mini-X Factor. You'll notice that Wesker's glasses take damage during the fight, going from semi-damaged, to badly damaged, to destroyed. Each of these phases adds to his power, and if he has level 3 X Factor without his glasses, all hell breaks loose. The only thing to make it somewhat fair is that when Wesker is tagged or snapped out, his glasses are back on when he comes back in. But the fact remains, he's overpowered, and there better be a patch coming out soon to fix this. Enough people threw a fit over Sentinel in MvC3 to the point where his health was severely cut down, so there's gotta be a chance for this to be fixed too. Dark Phoenix is still a threat as well, but her health was taken down a bit to give players more of a chance.

Now for the new charactersmost of them rock. Sadly, so many people are upset that x character from MvC2 wasn't put in (you'll always hear about Venom, Gambit, MegaMan and Cable) and are against the new characters for no good reason, but these guys are so much better than I expected, that I might have a team consisting of just new dudes. Hawkeye is VERY good and probably the best zoning character in the game. Firebrand has some great tools at his disposal, you just have to spend some time learning how and went to use them. Rocket Raccoon and Strider have very low health but some incredibly fast and useful moves to make up for it...I could go on about everyone. And it seems like we'll be getting 6 more new characters through DLC somewhere down the road, as there are 3 extra spaces on the character selection screen (filled up with Marvel and Capcom logos) next to the other DLC characters Shuma and Jill. Here's hoping that we get a couple of ladies and maybe Bishop.

Aside from Arcade mode, there are a few extra ways to play, the main one being Online. Trust meit got a big makeover and you no longer have to go back to the main menu when you can't find a game. Remember how stupid that was? Everything is much easier, you can watch matches in progress instead of just seeing two profiles thrusting at eachother, and I've noticed a lot less slowdown too. The old Mission mode is back, giving you a little schooling in some basic and advanced combos for every character. This mode is a must if you want to get decent at the game, and even when you do pass a stage, you'll want to do it over and over until it's effortless. There will also be a special mode to download soon that lets your characters equip special abilities for fun. This is its own gameplay mode and doesn't work its way into Ranked Online or anything. Do you want to be able to parry like in Third Strike? You'll be able to! Do you want a team with 3 of the same character? That'll be possible! Do you want to be invisible, confusing both your opponent and yourself? I don't know why you'd want to, but sure, you can do that too! This will no doubt be fun and be a nice break from regular online play.

I really do love how much they improved the game, but with the character imbalance issues being nearly as bad as Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition [pre-2012 patch], that's the only thing holding it back from being 5 stars overall. Again, if you're new to the game, rent it first. If you played MvC3 before and are still on the fence about getting this one, you might as well since it's at a great price and has a lot more features. Now get out there, rip your shirt off, and start hitting people with dat pipe!

First off, I'm an avid player and fan of Rock Band and a founding member of the band Big Ole' Mollusk (Check the Xbox 360 leaderboards!). It's one of the greatest games ever made. I was stoked to get these skins to set the various guitars we play with apart from one another. I bought the tiger design for myself and the octopus one for my brother-in-law. The designs are cool, and I got these instead of an off brand because they fit the art found in the game itself, and I though that was pretty cool. However, these are just flat out substandard.

When we got them, I was disappointed by what they were--stickers. I thought they'd be plastic static stickers that could come off and be swapped out, but they are flat out stickers. You put them on and that's pretty much it. You've got a big ole' sticker on your guitar. (You could go buy some stickers and trick your guitar out with those and be much happier). Maybe they should market them as Rock Band stickers, not rock band skins.

The real reason not to EVER, EVER, EVER buy these is, however, is the cheap quality. We put them on played for about four hours. The next time we played, we put in about two more hours, and I noticed that the edges had started to turn white. In less than SIX hours, they colors started to rub off of these stickers!!!! Did they not think that your hand and arm would be rubbing against these for hours? Did they even quality test these pieces of junk? (On a side note, the sticker of an 8 Ball that my nephew put on his guitar has been there for months and has held up perfectly, even thought it's just a generic kid's sticker.)

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy these skins! Both of our stickers have faded after two playing sessions.

If you want to trick out your rock band guitar, I'd suggest either getting your own stickers since that's all these pieces of garbage are, or getting the plastic skins sold by AMR Racing here on Amazon (I haven't tried them yet, but they have to be better than these things!!!).

Ultimately, I wasted 20 bucks buying two of these and pretty much ruined the face of my guitar with whited out, cheap stickers. I'll have to scrape them off and use some Goo Gone to get rid of the last vestiges of this colossal waste of 20 bucks. Thanks for nothing MTV games. Great game, horrible stickers.

A few months ago I found this cool design (Octopus) on Amazon for sale and I wanted to buy it for my Rock Band guitar. I knew they were stickers, the "skins" word didn't confuse me and from the photo it looked like a sticker.

After I got it in the mail I immediately went to put it on my rock band guitar. The material of the sticker is pretty thick and made of some kind of plastic or something, the material of the sticker is really smooth.

Anyway, I just peeled it off and placed it as best I could on the guitar. I think the first time I didn't do so good, so I was able to remove the sticker and re-apply it. (I also think on the box/slip it came in, it said it was removable or something).

One little problem was there were some air bubbles in some places. I was able to remove the sticker and slowly put it back on, smoothing out the bubbles. There were still a couple, but they are hardly noticable.

I haven't noticed any wear on the design from me or anyone else playing the guitar, and I play often and it's been a few months.

So, I am enjoying this awesome design on my Rock Band guitar and when Rock Band 2 special edition comes out, if there isn't a design already on the body of the guitar, I will for sure buy the "Tiger" skin for it.

Many people will say this is Sony's version of Mario Kart and it kinda is but oh so fun to play! Its better than Mario Kart as you can customize your kart, player, and (the best part) your own tracks! I literally spent hours building over a dozen tracks, the possiblities are endlesss. Since I am also a fan of Gran Turismo, I constantly spend time re-creating tracks from it. The only con I would say about this game is that there are few power-ups in the game. There are four to be exact but each one can be upgraded by collecting item pods. They can reach up to level 3 and have different effects from the previous level. My siblings and cousins all had a blast playing split-screen with up to four players. This is a crazy fun game for a family night or just for fun.

Over 3 years later, and I still find myself loading this game up. Whether it's to race other players online, playing up to 4 people split screen with friends at home, or racing online with a buddy on the same couch on over 2 million user created tracks, karts, and mods with a dozen people.

The controls are tight and intuitive and creating your own race tracks has proven to be unbelievably addicting. (I'm still making tracks today) There's nothing like racing on a track that you're proud of building, complete with shortcuts, obstacles to avoid, and risk/reward scenarios aplenty. And for a kart racing game, the game play has never been more fair and balanced due to the players ability to earn boost that fills up a meter which you can then burn off to activate a shield to defend against oncoming offenses if you activate it with just the right timing.

Anyone that's looking for a FUN game with that instant gratification feel to it, not unfamiliar to Mario kart games, only a lot better (sorry Mario) should check out this game now if you haven't yet. It's so cheap now, you can't go wrong.
