I originally purchased the Nox Specialist based on the positive reviews of Darren Kitchen of Hak5. I was in need of a portable but high quality headset for all-around use: gaming, voip, music... everything. Unfortunately, the Specialist wasn't that headset. On the very first day I found myself appalled at poor audio fidelity, not only when compared to my expensive Sennheiser headphones, but also when compared to a cheaper stereo headset I had been using. So right off the bat I found I couldn't them for music, it just sounded too unnatural.

With that off my chest, you'll notice that I didn't send them back (despite the generous 30-day money back guarantee) and I did give them a full 4 stars. For as much as I was disappointed about the fidelity, I was equally impressed by how well they worked for voip and gaming. The microphone is incredible clean and clear and people frequently comment that I sound like I'm in the same room as them. The frequency bias that ruined my music actually pairs very well with the games I play and works fine with just voice. The retractable boom that I originally thought was gimmicky actually works great and places the mic exactly where you want it with no fuss. The earpads are comfortable enough for all-day (or all-night) use. The volume dial on the right ear-cup is smooth and convenient. With the dual-hinges on the ear-cups, the Specialist fold up neatly into a convenient travel size and the included case is perfect for slipping them into a bag without worrying about tangled cords. Speaking of cords, the detachable cord has saved my phones a couple times and the wire stays out of your way without being noisy. Also, being able to plug into my phone is great for when people call me while I'm coding or gaming and can't take my hands off the keys.

So while the Nox Specialist won't replace your audiophile cans for music and movies, it's only because they were designed to be so perfect for gaming and voip. If you're looking for headset to use for voip and/or gaming, I highly recommending trying the Nox Specialist, they're (over) specialized for just that purpose.

Pros:

* Excellent microphone (Really!)

* Convenient volume knob

* Comfortable for long LAN parties

* Lightweight

* Portable, easy to pack

* Detachable cord

* Fits my laptops and my cellphone

* They look pretty good, too

Cons:

* Not audiophile-quality for my music (though still great for gaming and voip)

* The mic-mute switch is a little awkward to operate, bad placement

While I was disappointed about the audio fidelity, considering what they were designed for I would bump it up to 5 stars if they just fixed the mute switch.

The Specialist Headset is the best, most comfortable, bass driving headset I have ever owned. I love this headset so much, I will literally take it just about everywhere. The major advantages of this headset compuared to any other is portability. You can take it anywhere with you in the little carrying case, cables and all, and setup on the go. The extended boom mic is a fantastic touch as one can retract it, so it is not in the way or weird looking when out in public. The love how comfortable these headphones are, with the memory foam, not only does it allow you to keep gaming for hours on end, without the standard pain of other headsets, but it will keep your ears nice and toasty, especially in the winter time, lol. Overall, I would recommend this product to just about every gamer on the face of the earth. Thank you so much Nox-Audio for such a wonderful and innovative product, :).

I already own one of these headsets and they are wonderful. I work on the phone taking calls, and although this is meant for musical audio, because it has the microphone it is perfect for me, and because I wear a hearing aid as well, the style of it, with the cup over the ear unlike most phone sets that sit right on the ear and cause interference on the hearing aid, this one doesn't. So easy to adjust the volume of specific calls with the dial on the right ear. If I could give it a double-10 stars I'd do it in a heartbeat! I was so pleased when I found that this set also came with the case! I had not expected that!

"Compatible with the XBOX 360, PS3 with Nox Negotiator"....Okay, I wasn't born yesterday and to me when it says it's compatible with I would think you could just plug and play. NOT. Maybe I missed it, but I don't see anywhere in the description that says an adapter must be purchased in order to use these with XBox360. I got the package (shipping time was about 11 days), opened it, glad to see XBox was listed on the package, go to plug it in, the jack is too big. Look at the package again, which said something like "adapter must be purchased to use with Xbox, please go to our website to order." That will never happen. If they didn't have the good sense to put it in bold letters somewhere in the description, then they aren't getting any more $$ from me. I hate returning things and I COULD use these for other electronics in my home, but I'm too PO'd with this company. Bought a pair of actual XBox headphones with the typing pad for $29.00 at Walmart. Back this one goes.

NOTE: (Nov. 9, 2010) The PlayStation 3 320 GB with a larger disc is now available for the same price. Another option is PlayStation 3 320GB System with PlayStation Move Bundle which would make sense if the Move was something you wanted with your PS3.

< BEGIN REVIEW >

Briefly, the PS3-250 is the exact original PS3 'Slim' with a twice as large hard disk.

I had the opportunity to actually see and use a PS3-250 on the Sunday prior to its launch. As I expected, the only difference between the ps3-250 and the PS3-120 is the larger disk with everything else the same. Many reviews of the PS3-120 are HERE.

< END OF REVIEW >

Once the decision was made to get a PS3, 2 important questions might be:

Which model to buy? PS3-120 or PS3-250?

To upgrade or not to upgrade to a 500/640GB PS3?

Based on personal experience and the experience of other PS3 owners that I know, the options are the following remember, these are my views:

PS3-120, no upgrade

---------------------

Buy a PS3-120 and do not upgrade if you use it mainly to play movies and you rarely download games from the PSN store. It will take you very far and it should have sufficient room for storing thousands of pictures and a lot of music besides it playing Blu-ray content and CDs.

I found that 120GB would not be enough for me. After a couple of years of use, with a few downloaded games, many more demos, lots of pictures and songs and some videos the kids made with the PS3 Eye we've breached the 120GB threshold. I would not worry about that if all I wanted was one of the better Blu-ray players. In addition, anybody comfortable with backing up/restoring the PS3 and upgrading the disk can postpone the upgrade step for later.

PS3-250, no upgrade

---------------------

Buy a PS3-250 and do not upgrade if you do plan to download a few movies and games but not a lot of them AND/or you don't feel comfortable with upgrading your PS3 yourself.

Anyone who is not an almost-exclusive movie viewer and doesn't want to mess with screws and OEM disks should buy the PS3-250. It should have enough capacity to last for quite a few years with good disk space management (delete the demos and downloads you no longer need).

PS3-120 upgrade to 500/640GB

------------------------------

Buy a PS3-120 and upgrade it to 500/640GB IF you don't mind swapping the PS3's disk. You get to upgrade your PS3-120 to quadruple capacity for very little expense and probably for less than a PS3-250 would cost you (see next paragraph). This should buy you peace of mind for the rest of your PS3's lifespan.

Keep in mind that a 500GB HDD such as the 500GB Scorpio Blue Mobile Sata 5400RPM 8MB 2.5IN or the Western Digital 640 GB SATA OEM Notebook Hard Drive WD6400BEVT (Scorpio Blue) if you don't mind the extra expense can be had for about 90 dollars at the time I am writing this. That would make a 500GB upgraded PS3-120 appear a little more expensive than the PS3-250 BUT you are left with a brand-new 120GB HDD (the drive originally in the PS3) when you are done and you can either sell it or use it as an external USB-powered backup drive or maybe to upgrade your laptop's drive. This would effectively set the price of the 500GB upgraded console to match that of the PS3-250.

There are many online guides that detail the process. I will post a couple URL's in a comment to this review.

PS3-250 upgrade to 500/640GB (not recommended)

------------------------------------------------

Do NOT buy a PS3-250 if you are planning to upgrade it to 500/640GB unless you really need a spare 250GB external HDD instead of a spare 120GB HDD and think that the price difference is worth the larger spare drive.

EVALUATION

The PS3-250 while not for everyone, deserves its 5 stars. In my view, there is enough value added by doubling the storage capacity to justify the price difference over the PS3-120.

______________________________________

NOTE: If you want to upgrade you are better off if you upgrade immediately.

This way you avoid the backup/restore hassles and therefore greatly simplify the process. I would include the upgrade HDD on the same order with the new PS3 and maybe add a HDD enclosure if planning to use the drive I removed from the PS3 as an external drive.

I had no idea which unit to buy, the 120 or the 250 GB Playstation 3. I ended up with the 250 out of fear that the 120 would leave me desiring more space later. If you don't know anything, here is what I see so far. On the Playstation network, you can download game demos and marketing videos for games free. I haven't found myself doing this a lot yet. Of course, you can also delete them easily after you watch them.

Most playable games even old ones cost to download so I have decided to just buy a couple of the popular ones and am hooked on those and the stunning DVD and Blu Ray movie quality for now. You are not going to be able to download games like Modern Warefare 2 to your hard drive from the PS network that I can see. WHen you buy a game at the store or here on amazon in disc format, you have to install it first. This may take some hard drive space. So far, one game I have takes nearly 3 GB and another takes up less than 1 GB but the games also called for an update download which I don't know how much space that took. At this rate, you could install maybe 100 store bought disc format games.

Playing movies on disc doesn't seem to take hard drive space. You can download movies from the Playstation network. If you do much of this, I image you'll need more space but the movies I was interested in cost the same amount to buy from amazon or wal-mart as to download so if you can wait to go to the store or recieve a package, you don't need to download it. You can rent movies also. I imagine this is a download that is disabled after a time period or after it is viewed or something. You can also download TV shows like "The Office" for $2 an eposode. If you want to do a lot of that, maybe the bigger HD is a good idea.

I am thinking you would do well with just the 120GB unless you know you are going to make a collection of movies and TV shows and low priced downloadable games on your Playstation.

You can also save photos on the Playstation as well as video. If this is part of your plan, well again more space may help. The PS3 has USB ports where I believe you could load photos and home movies from to view on your TV.

You can also access your applications on the www like facebook.

Bare in mind that there are a lot of folkes out there with older PS3's that have only 40 and 80 GB drives who love their playstation and don't feel the need for the 250 GB drive.

I don't feel upset that I spent the extra $50 to get the larger drive because it might be useful later, but if I knew then what I know now, I would have been comfortable buying the 120 for my purposes which is playing a small number of games (not a small amount of time, just a small number of games because they cost a lot) and watching some Blu Ray movies.

If you still find it hard to make a decision, ask yourself if you want to spend more money because both models are the same except the HD size which you can upgrade later. By the time you buy the unit, HD cable, a game, maybe another controller and remote control for Blu Ray, you'll be in deep on the expense and maybe another $50 isn't acceptable.

It is a very good and fun product. After I spent all the money on what I needed, I debated on hooking it up or sending it back because it was a lot of money; I'm very glad I hooked it up and delt with the expense. It is everything I hoped.

Prior to getting the PS3, we had a Sony BluRay player, an Apple TV and a PC hooked up to our Sony Bravia LCD TV. PC was used for Netflix and backing up the Apple TV, Apple TV was used to rent and buy movies, and the Sony BluRay Player simply played BluRay DVDs. After learning about the functionality of the PS3, I was sold.

We've had it for about 2 weeks now and I am ever impressed with it's capabilities and quality. Keep in mind, this is the first type of gaming system like this we've owned (we do have a Wii but I put this in a different class). Here's my take on the various functions and their quality, smoothness and quickness of processing/playing.

Gaming Amazing quality with no hesitations at all (playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2) and I've been playing quite a bit since we first got it. Like the Wii, you can download old games like Mortal Kombat II and new ones for PS3 and the PSP. Initially, I didn't think I was going to play that much but the graphics and the games have been really cool. Not much of an online player at the moment but it seems that most have this option available. Even Mortal Kombat II. You can create user profiles on the PS3 which automatically link to saved game data. Automatic and very nice. Create additional users so they can advance at their own pace.

BluRay Discs load quicker than the Sony BluRay player we bought about 9-12 months ago. Thoroughly impressed with the quality of the picture. You can also play older discs and they'll work just fine.

Netflix You'll need to get a disc from Netflix to be able to do this. We've watched Instant Watch movies via PC/Internet on our TV and the quality wasn't too bad. I say acceptable and sometimes the movie would freeze for a few seconds. On average about two freezes per movie. We were expecting the same thing via the PS3 but were dead wrong. The quality is AMAZING and there has not been one hiccup in the video. This really impressed us...and I'm a picky so don't take that compliment lightly. :)

Renting/Buying Movies/Shows via PlayStation Store Lots of shows available for viewing, including the current season of whatever season you're into. We don't rent these but it's nice to know we can in case the DVR gets goofed up for some reason. As for movies, the files are larger compared to Apple TV/iTunes downloads but with this the quailty is much better. HD movies are available but they're pretty big, about 6 GB! If you're buying movies then it's worth the wait and the extra 5 dollars. SD movies are still good quality for basic rentals. However, if you have a good cable connection you may want to rely on your On Demand Rentals to bypass waiting for long HD downloads. Again, PS Store is good for purchases and I encourage it to save on materials/resources...go green where you can. :) Only downfall with buying/renting movies this way is that the files don't have chapter markers so you can advance through sections of the movie like you can with a DVD. Hopefully they change this.

Internet If you need to access the web you can but you'll probably want to pick up the Logitech keyboard to do this. The speed of browsing isn't too fast and the viewing area isn't the largest. I'll walk over to my computer to do a search rather than use the PS3.

Photos/Music Depending on your computer setup (Mac or PC) you may need to get some additional software in order to turn your computer into a media server. Then, through your wireless network you can access the music and play it through the PS3. Same goes for photos...or you can load the photos onto the PS3 directly, same goes for the music. Really amazing features but take a little research on what file formats are compatible, etc.

PS3 Backup With an external drive attached, you can back up the PS3, which is great.

Overall, I say go for the 250GB if you're into being green like me and wish to download games, movies and load photos and music. This device is truly an all-in-one and like I said, I'm picky. Not to mention I understand technology pretty well. If, after taking a realistic inventory, you will use all or the majority of the services, grab one of these suckers. I'd also recommend going Sony for your TV and surround sound. They all work really well together.

Enjoy!

Hi there,

Let me give you some background:

I purchased a PS3 60 GB model at launch back in November 2006. I have loved everything about it ever since. I even upgraded the hard drive to a 250 GB hard drive about a year and a half ago.

Why did I choose to purchase this new, slim, 250 GB model?

Honestly, it's a great deal for what you get. It's cooler (temperature wise), more energy efficient, and it takes up MUCH less space than my previous model. (Not to mention the much nicer, matte black finish as opposed to the older piano black finish which is a scratch/fingerprint magnet.)

Thinking about the new 120 GB vs. this 250 GB model? Maybe this will help:

Originally, I had planned to buy the 120 GB model and upgrade to a 250 GB or 320 GB hard drive myself. However, at the $349.99 price point, there's no need to perform the upgrade myself. For a quality Western Digital or Seagate 250 GB hard drive, you'll be spending anywhere from $50 to $70 plus shipping and/or tax, and for a 320 GB hard drive you'll be spending upwards of $75. Honestly, there really isn't any reason for that with this model. Why go through the hassle when Sony offers a great package at the perfect price point?

I for one am happy with my purchase which I received today from Amazon and am happily inagurating it with the GI Joe: Rise of Cobra blu-ray. For almost anyone that I can think of, the 250 GB hard drive will be more than enough space. However, should the need arise in a year or two (or three), a 500 GB hard drive will be dirt cheap and easy enough to install.

By now, the PS3 has been extensively reviewed and this latest iteration (the "slim") has been out in the 120gb format for 2 months now (since September 1st, 2009).

To summarize the benefits:

Slimmer, lighter, and more energy efficient than the prior "fat" PS3

Blu-ray player built-in

Netflix streaming (yay!)

Free online service (vs. subscription based X-box live)

The negatives:

No backwards compatibility with PS2 games

Bluetooth remote only (and not included, so need to purchase a remote to use as a dvd/blu-ray player, no IR (but a number of bluetooth-to-IR solutions like Logitech Harmony Adapter or Infra-red to Bluetooth Adapter)

No more Linux support

With Blu-ray player prices now dropping to the $100-$150 range, the PS3 makes for an expensive option as a Blu-ray player only. As a home media center player/HTPC device, it really shines and is a great deal (you can't build a HTPC with a blu-ray player for less). It IS somewhat limited, however, as a HTPC as its browser is not up to par. Too bad Sony dropped linux support for the PS3. The addition of Netflix streaming (currently requiring a disc but supposedly becoming native in a future firmware update) just ices this cake.

edit to address the HD upgrade issue:

Yes, you can buy the 120gb for $50 less and, yes, you can install whatever capacity 2.5" hard drive you'd like fairly easily as long as you're willing to pay for a new hard drive. BUT, considering that (1.) you'd still have to spend extra money (more than the $50 difference), (2.) spend time and effort to upgrade and (3.) you'd then have an extra 120gb hard drive afterwards to go through the hassle of ebaying (unless you turn it into another usb/backup drive--I've got too many as it is). I find that it is just not worth it. Spend the extra $50, get the 250gb installed by Sony and warrantied by Sony.

Before this seat, I had my G25 wheel and shifter clamped to a table with the pedals on the floor. It was always a challenge having the pedals stay put. There was also the issue of setup and teardown when I wanted to go driving. This seat eliminates those problems as I have ample room for it in my Rec Room.

The best part for me is how nice looking the seat is. I bought this orange Joey Logano seat and it's spectacular looking! It mounts the wheel and pedals very securely. I comes with all screws to put the seat together and mount the wheel and pedals. What isn't included is any provision to mount the G25/27 shifter. I looked at the two options Playseat offers, both very expensive. I decided on using a 1" x 4" piece of lumber clamped under the wheel and sticking out to the right. I had to cut a groove and a notch in the board so it would sit flush under the wheel and it turned out to be very stable a $0.50 solution instead of $30-50!

If you are thinking of buying a Playseat, be aware there are two basic models with lots of style/color choices in each model. The models are the Evolution and the WRC this seat is a WRC. The main difference is how the wheel is mounted and adjusted. From the Playseat website, the Evolution appears to have much better adjustment for where you can position the wheel. With this WRC seat, the wheel can only be adjusted on the post that originates from under the seat. The WRC does have the advantage of the post not interfering so much with your legs and feet. So consider the pluses and minuses before deciding on which to get.

The seat sits very low to the ground. With the WRC model, I have to straddle the seat, then lower myself down into the seat. With the Evo, it appears you would sit in the seat and swing your legs under the wheel... another thing to consider. I'm thinking of putting the seat on a platform so it isn't so low to the ground. Along with the platform, I'll provision a place for the computer and monitor, and all those wires!

Playseat advertises that the seatback folds down, and it does. Why anyone would ever do that is beyond me. The real reason it folds is for packaging the seat for shipment... the whole thing comes in a very small box.

I'm quite happy with this purchase and recommend it to any racing gamer.

This is a review i wrote for a similar version of this playseat cockpit but the construction and quality are all the same.

This racing seat/cockpit/mount is amazing. I need as much space as i can get, so out of all the available cockpits that are on the market now, none can be as compact as this. Not saying that it doesnt extend for us tall people, im 6'3" and ive got room to grow in this seat. I find the seat to be a little snug and not have much back support, but i doubt your gonna be sitting in this for over 5 hours.

Ive tried out tons of cockpits and done a bunch of research. This by far gives you the most bang for your buck. It does everything the other cockpits and more. But just like everything in this world there are downsides and room for improvement.

You cant adjust the angle of the steering wheel's mount. You can adjust the elevation and how close it is to you but not the angle at which it faces you.

The pedal mount will also require constant maintenance unless you buy some loctite in which case you run the risk of stripping your screws. There is a very inconveniently placed screw that requires and allen wrench and doesnt have a lot of room for you to apply down pressure to make sure you dont strip the screw. In my case, i most likely wont be removing that screw and if i need to, the construction is made of metal and heat allows loctite to dissolve/melt away so you can remove screws or what have you easier. The reason for all of this is because if you dont use loctite, or constantly tighten this screw, and the one next to it you will have a lot of play on the pedal mount. Eventually just pressing your foot on the throttle will cause the entire pedal mount to rotate to the right and same goes for the left side.

Other than that the only other complain i have is that the mount for a shifter has a lot of play as well. Im constantly feeling the shifter whether its from fanatec or the g27 racing wheel set to move forward and backwards. In order to solve this problem i needed to use popped bubble wrap to help, not solve this problem. But if your storing this in minimal space like i am, your gonna be removing the shifter constantly and the wrap will tear. Im currently trying to solve this problem now thats its been a year of owning a playseat. All playseats are constructed the same, the only thing that changes is the seat or the color of the metal.

The great thing is this thing has tons of room under the seat for mods and the buttkicker gaming amp you can buy. Even if you have a fanatec racing wheel like me you dont need to worry, the g27 bolts right on, but the fanatec wheel comes with a template for drilling the holes, so as long as you have a drill and a bit you can easily fit almost any racing wheel onto this thing. The metal is very easy to drill through.

Just remember that this seat is not at all a good seat for use with PC games unless you like getting out of the seat every time you need to use a keyboard/mouse and wanna hunch over your setup and or desk. For just a tiny bit more you can find tons of better cockpits that will come with or allow you to later purchase keyboard, mouse, and monitor mounts.

My dad uses this seat with his PS3... he LOVES it. Said it is built really nice and reminds him of going to the mall and racing in the Nascar stores cars. He is 65 and can play his game for as long as he wants without it being uncomfortable.

I love Resident Evil. I've played every single one since the very first one came out for the Playstation. Survival horror is a genre that has changed quite a bit since that original entry and I'm happy to say that at least part of this game is an homage to that bygone era.

Gameplay: The gameplay is quite solid. The cover system works well and being able to move around while shooting is a welcome change. While it may not satisfy the purists, it's a step up from Resident Evil 4.5/5. The controls are quite responsive and I had almost no trouble at all (I caught some trouble sometimes :).)

Story: There are three separate campaigns, each with a very different feel. My favorite by and far was the Leon portion, which gives that sense of impending dread that the originals in the series gave. Chris and Wesker's son both also had interesting campaigns, and it was really cool when the campaigns intersected in the story. This is also a pretty long game, so you really get some serious playtime out of it.

The Health system has greatly changed. Instead of using your entire herbs at once, you can use them as pills adding them to your case just by pressing R2. They do let you hold more weapons than Resident Evil 5, an improvement.

Graphics: Everything in the game looks great. The action looks good, the new bad guys are pleasingly disgusting and the boss fights look top notch and Interesting how The MT Framework processes the Graphics too.

Overall a very engaging entry in the series. Well worth picking up if you're a fan. I haven't tried Mercenaries yet but hopefully it'll be fun.

Two Wishes:

First: The Anthology version that the Playstation recieved. Poor Xbox 360, Every Resident Evil game should've been on that console too!

Second: It would have been nice if Sheva Alomar made a small Appearance in the game (Or later in DLC).

Playstation 3: One Bluray Game Disc, 1,2,3,4 and 5 Games DLC.

Xbox 360: R6 Two Seperate DVD Game Discs, Resident Evil CODE Veronica X HD, Resident Evil 4 HD , Resident Evil 5 Gold, and Resident Evil Degeneration.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

Just to clarify again since Amazon product feature isn't update yet... "RE5 Gold" is included in this edition.

You get the PSN codes to download to download all the previous RE games... Code Veronica X NOT included (which you can still get from PSN for $20).

There are no instruction booklet at all, so that's a bit disappointing.

Notice that after the prelude opening, you can freely choose which characters you want to start with (Christ, Leon, Jake). But if you focus on one of them from start to finish, some of the story may not make sense to you later on... after doing a bit of research, here is the suggested path:

After Prelude:

Chris #1

Chris #2

Jake #1

Jake #2

Leon #1

Leon #2

Leon #3

Jake #3

Chris #3

Jake #4

Leon #4

Chris #4

Jake #5

Chris #5

Leon #5

I liked that they allow player to choose to play with which ever character they want, but I think they should at least give players a 'suggested' path to understand the story better.

Now I am going to say this right off the bat. I have not completed the game yet. However, I have had a good amount of time with the three initial campaigns. From the amount of time I have played, this is my honest review. I might get some flak from this.

Story: The story is put together in an interesting, yet confusing way. There are three initial campaigns to play through: Jake, Leon, and Chris. The fourth campaign is Ada and it is unlocked after you have completed the first three. The first part of the story goes in this order: Jake, Leon, and Chris. After a certain point, it gets a little confusing. The reason being is that if you progress too far through one campaign, some thing may pop up where you had to have played one of the other campaigns first to understand. Hope that did not sound too confusing. The newly emerged C-Virus has emerged and the protagonists travel across the globe to contain it and find out who let it loose.

Gameplay: This is where I will get the flak. I will not lie. This is not the Survival-Horror game hardcore fans have known and played in the early years. This is more action packed and more modern. More like a game of the third person shooter genre, if you will (Future Soldier, Uncharted without the adventure aspects, etc). However, even though this game strays from it's name, the game is still very fun and enjoyable. With shooting, you can now move more freely while aim. Whereas in Resident Evil 4 and 5, you could not move while aiming. You can also customize the type of aiming laser you like and the color of the laser. They also added action abilities. These include quick shot, counters, dives and rolls, and the ability to shoot while laying on the ground. They added a melee button too. They also added skill points. These are used to purchase skills and level them up. Unlike past Resident Evil games, you cannot upgrade your weapons through a store/menu. They changed the inventory system too. They have brought back the Mercenaries game mode but have added the Agent Hunt mode, which I have not played yet. If you neglect the fact that it is named as a Resident Evil game, you could possibly enjoy it.

Specific to this edition: Resident Evil 6 Anthology comes with Resident Evil 1-6, hence it being called Anthology. This edition costs 90 dollars, about 30 dollars more than the standard edition which is 60 dollars. I believe this is a very good deal. Even though a physical disc(s) would be ideal, I am perfectly fine with these digital downloads. These are the premium editions of the games too (Of the games that had one). As of now from where I looked, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition is 20 dollars. From the Playstation Store, Resident Evil 4 HD is 20 dollars, Resident Evil Director's Cut is 10 dollars, Resident Evil 2 and 3 are 7 dollars each. If you add this up along with Resident Evil 6, the total cost is 124 dollars. You are saving 34 dollars when you buy this. Even though this does not come with Code Veronica, you are already getting a lot for you money. Six games for 90 dollars.

Final Thoughts (as of now): Even though Resident Evil 6 strays from the rest of the Resident Evil franchise, it still maintains some of the Resident Evil features and it is a great and fun game nevertheless. The four campaigns add longevity to the game (all playable in co-op except for Ada, I believe) and each adds its own different feel. The game feels much smoother and the controls are not very confusing. Longtime, hardcore Resident Evil fans may not like the change but I gladly accept it. Most of these bad reviews are coming from longtime resident evil fans. I perceive these reviews as biased but I can see where they are coming from. If you like an action packed shooter that has some of the Resident Evil feel to it, get it.

It would be nice if the product description stated that not all the games listed are included as disks (which is the only reason I purchased this). All versions other than RE 6 must be downloaded. This is not an all-inclusive anthology, but rather RE 6 with download codes...way false advertising!!

I have been with the Resident Evil series since the beginning. I remember going over my buddy's house, him saying, "Man...you gotta try this game!" and he sat me in front of the TV with the controller, dimmed the lights, and I swear I totally freaked when I ran into my first Zombie...you fans remember don't you? A man hunched over a body on the floor, then you approach and he slowly turns and you realize...ZOMBIE!!!! There had never been anything like it before, at least not to me. The clues you had to find, the puzzles, a big spooky mansion filled with zombies. It was the best!

Fast forward sixteen years and quite a few additions to the series. Now we have 6.

RE6 is fun to play, I guess, but I find myself getting a headache from being tense all the time. It's almost non-stop action...which gets exhausting after a couple of hours. There is almost no breaks where you have to do some exploring and puzzle solving. Don't get me wrong...there are a few lame puzzles you have to solve that don't take any kind of thought at all and they are very short. Disappointing to say the least. I like that we get to see the familiar faces of games past...but I'm tired of the non-stop trucks blowing up, planes and buildings and whatever else falling on you and you having to do a couple of button presses to dive out of the way or else get crushed. (Reminds me so much of those books I had when I was a kid where it would tell you to turn to page XX if you choose to open the door or turn to page XX if you want to ignore the door and move on. So you choose to open the door and BOOM! you die.) There is a lot of that in this game...rather than just beating the crap out of a boss or zombie it gives you a timer and the x button on the screen and you have to push the x button at the right time in order to push the zombie off of you. Too much of that...so it feels kind of like the game is playing the game for you. I don't like it. I just want to explore and beat some zombies up by doing a cool move I learned or something. But instead while I'm beating up a group of zombies the R1 and X button show up so I push them and my character automatically takes the axe sticking out of the zombie (that was there already...assuming from some guy he tried to eat) and chops his head off automatically.

I don't know...I just really miss the old action of previous games and the puzzle solving and exploring...It's like the whole game is explosive. And I mean it...I really do have a headache from all the sudden "Oh SH*T...HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!!"s in the game. One right after the other.

If you like action a lot...go for it. It's worth a play to get the story. It's fun to play with people on line. Not a bad game, but not my Resident Evil of old.

EDIT (weeks later):

I just want to add that I've been playing the game for weeks now and I do appreciate it for what it is, even if it isn't like my Resident Evils of old...I have been enjoying the online features very much. It is fun to play it with other people out there in the world. This is new to me...as I had not yet ventured into the online multi-player experience. However, just judging from this RE6 game, it was easy to use it online and when I was new to the game, I had multiple Veteran RE6 players help me out on my quest first time through the campaigns and now that I am a veteran, I am doing the same for others. When you are low on ammo and haven't got all the guns, it's nice to have a vet join you who can blow all the zombies away that are overpowering you when you are low on ammo and are still getting used to the controls. So I thought it only fair to change it from three stars to four.

The Datel EF000863 Sony PS3 Space Dock Adapter, is an easy and fast way to add lots of space to your playstation 3 externally. I upgraded to a WD10JPVT 1TB drive in my PS3 already. However I prefer to keep everything else off my PS3, which are media related, to keep the ps3 running as fast as possibl, as.media files slow down a drive

The space dock makes for easy file drag and drops, whether videos, music, or photos from pc to ps3 and back again. I have 4 different drives from older Pc's + the 1TB cavier green 7,200rpm hdd I bought when I got the space drive That gives me over 2.5TB of I can view, listen to and watch. I call mine a toaster, since it fits both 2.5" & 3.5" data as

you can pop one out and another in!

Lets start off with the big question, was this easy to instal? Well, once you watch the You Tube video that they offer it isn't all that bad.

I had my controller in pieces for over an hour on Christmas Morning trying to figure out why the printed circuit board (PCB)wouldn't come out, after watching the video I was done with the rebuild in less time than I spent trying to figure out how to get the PCB out, from removing the first screw to testing the controller took about an hour.

A huge portion of my assembly time was dedicated more to custom work like combining the original PS3 buttons and the buttons that came with the kit until I had the look I wanted, believe me this is the hardest part of the process because you will want to make it look pretty and all clear may not be your thing. Plan on putting the buttons in a few times before you look at it and like it My biggest problem with this kit was that because you could really get fancy I spent a lot of time choosing to get the look I was happy with.

Were there problems? Well besides my does this look better than that floundering I only found one small problem. I needed to attach a couple of small pieces of 1/16" [1.5mm] thick foam to the Dual Shock Motors because they were not held as tight as I would have liked by the provided webbing alone and the foam made a nice fit between the motor and the housing that gave a nice quality feel. A final word of advice would be to keep track of the contact pads that go under the buttons, I had one shift on me making for some assembly problems and a directional button that wouldn't work, it was easily corrected, but I could have done without the problem.

Did I have any complaints? Only one, I wish there were printed instructions for this kit, I know the video is really nice and easy to follow, but I do have a thing for diagrams.

What tools did I need? I used a Precision Philips #0 screw driver to open the case and remove the battery and PCB and a pair of side cutting pliers to cut the old webbing that held the Dual Shock Motors.

Overall, if you are good with tools and think you can do this without getting easily frustrated I say go for it if you want the clear look. This is a controller look that you just can't buy so I have a feeling that you will be able to show this upgrade off with a little pride.

I ordered this case because i had stepped on and broken the case of my original controller and it is crazy expensive to replace the controller with one that has all the features as the 1st party controllers. The shell on a whole is a near perfect reproduction of the sony shell but... the buttons dont have any labels and the control sticks dont quite feel like the same rubber harder and slicker.

the buttons that come with this seem like they are a little bit smaller than the original and dont have labels so i used the original buttons and the ps button from my donor controller they fit perfectly and it looks great i decided to use the support that came with the controller and ended up having to break the old support to get the wires free and to keep the motors from moving around i pulled the foam pads from the donor controller as well and put in the new case. In the end i think it worked out fine the hardest part was getting the trigger buttons to work right i had to remove and reassemble the case several times i recommend to anyone undertaking this project to leave the l1 and r1 buttons out and use a small screwdriver to manipulate the l2 and r2 buttons to make sure they work right before pushing the l1 and r1 buttons in as they can be put in after the case is fully assembled. Also if anyone has the springs break a cheap fix is a 3.5" floppy disk pulling the metal shield off will reveal a spring with the same tension as the old springs and the legs are just a bit longer than needed all you do is take a wire snips and cut them down.

Update: My cat dumped the controller in a bucket of water ruined it. But while i was trying to get it to work again i found an issue with the supplied white webbing there is a small raised piece of plastic under the ps button this pushes up on the cellulose contact pad and causes false presses to occur also if you use the original ps button like i did it is a hair too big on one of the tabs and it rubs and sticks when i get around to replacing the pcb of my water destroyed controller ill use a file and fix the slight bit that is off.

This review is for the yellow one, but since everyone is commenting here, I figure I make my review here. It works alright, need to do a bit of clipping here and there, and why no yellow thumbsticks. Doesn't matter since I didn't use the yellow buttons, just the shell. I would order more if it wasn't for one thing, my last 2 PS3 controllers have A1 at the end of the model number, yes I could use the plastic covering, but there is still one spot that your suppose to put the plastic circuit board on. It will be kind of loose, not sure if it will make it a big deal, but I'm skeptical on it.

Pros

+ A new chapter in a classic game which many of us love. If you're a fan of Wolfenstein 3D or Return to Castle Wolfenstein, you'll LOVE this game.

+ Gripping story. Greatly evolves as you progress in the game.

+ Some very cool new twists in the story as well as the game play. Things like gravity and the Veil which is further explained in review.

Cons

Slightly dated graphics, level design, and game play

Online multiplayer can be a little dull. Mostly due to the level design and difficulty level.

Graphics: 3 1/2 out of 5

Game play: 3 out of 5

Story: 5 out of 5

Sound: 4 1/2 out of 5

Originality: 3 out of 5

Multiplayer: 2 out of 5

I am a fan of classic Wolfenstein 3D and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. This game is fun. It reminds me so much of the classic games from years ago. For what else is out right now and how far games have come, to me, this game takes a step back. It is an old game, with better graphics and some slightly new ideas. Don't get me wrong, there are new little surprises and cool additions to the game play and storyline, but all in all, this is a basic game with a simple style and classic game play/menus/control.

After playing Killzone 2, Infamous, Dead Space, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and Resident Evil 5, Wolfenstein seems like a game which may have come out a few years ago, and been pretty good. With what else is out right now, and how far developers have pushed the limits of what can be done in a video game, this game does seem very dated.

The pros of this game are a pretty solid story and the little new twists in the atmosphere of the game. One new idea with the game play is the Veil. The Veil is a green blanket which covers the gaming world which you are in and transforms everything around you. It basically is a doorway between two worlds or detentions. You activate the Veil with a medallion you found. Let's say you are in the regular world walking around and come to a dead end. You activate the Veil and where there once was a wall, there now is a doorway. There is more to it as the game progresses and you can use it anytime and in more creative ways. You can collect four crystals to add to the medallion which give you different powers. Powers like the Veil, slowing down time, a shield, and intensifying your weapons. These powers drain your medallion which will then need to be recharged by standing over one of the little recharging portal peppered throughout the game. They are everywhere.

One simple yet really fun thing in the game is the anti-gravity tanks that are tossed in levels from time to time. If an enemy is near them, shot the tank and they'll go floating off. Much more fun to shoot.

This games mission design is set up a little differently. You can speak with people about mission and choose to do them in the order you wish. At times you may only have one mission. At others you may have 3 or so missions which you need to complete. And you can do them in any order you like. I wouldn't say it is a free roam game, but I think that is what they were going for.

You can upgrade all your weapons in the black market. Your medallion and Veil powers can also be upgraded. There are a lot of neat little supernatural weapons. The Particle Cannon for example is a weapon you collect from a big guy you must defeat. The Particle Cannon shoots this lightning like beam and completely disintegrates enemies.

Over-all, this is a decent game, but it is very basic game play and has been done hundreds of times before. The Veil is very interesting and carries this otherwise dull game. Yes you can shoot bad guys heads off. Yes there are these Nazi zombie skeleton dudes. But the AI kinda sux. Very basic.

I didn't hear too much about this games release and I took a chance and went out and bought it. Am I disappointed? Not to the extent where I would totally regret buying it. But I was expecting a little more. Better graphics and tighter game play. I find that the further I get into this game, the more I like it. It should keep me busy until Batman Arkham Asylum comes out next week.

I hope this review helped those of you out there wanting a basic idea of how good Wolfenstein is. Thanx.

I don't play multiplayer very often, mostly the single player. At first the graphics were not impressive, but as you play the game and start to enter and exit "The Veil", I was starting to feel more comfortable with the graphics. The missions and bad guys are excellent. The AI is also good. The nazis don't just stand there and wait to be shot they will move around and hide behind things. And the supernatural things you have to fight are crazy. These nazi women from hell start to come out of nowhere and kick you butt! They know when you are reloading also and will try and storm you.

The sound quality of the explosions and supernatural happenings are outstanding! I have a yamaha receiver with klipsch speakers throughout my living room, and the first time a grenade exploded close to me, I was amazed.

The game really doesn't seem that difficult until you put the setting on hard (bring them on).

I loved the original wolfenstein and return to castle wolfenstein, so if you enjoyed these 2 games then you will enjoy this one.

Wolfenstein is not about having the very best graphics or best sound, even though it has very good graphics and excellent sound, it is about kicking the crap out of germans! Having sueprnatural things happen to you that are the result of nazi engineering, which makes you want to kick the crap our of more germans!

I will play this game many, many times just like I have resistance fall of man, and resistance 2.

And you can carry every weapon you pick up. Not realistic, but who cares, its fun!

Wolfenstein 3D was the first shooter I ever played and it holds a deep place in my heart. It not only made me interested in video games outside of platformers, it also inspired me to look at the history of World War II.

This new installment in the Wolfenstein series is a lot different from the previous games. For starters, you're not breaking out of a prison cell or out of a castle. Instead, you're in the middle of the war, helping resistance soldiers with their quest. When I first read the previews, the game seemed to be as if it were an open world, sort of like Far Cry 2. However, the reality is that while the game is pretty open, there's a lot of load times in between areas. One part of a map is the west side of town, the other is the east side. This was a bit disappointing since it is very possible to make a town that's very open world with today's gaming hardware. This is one of the let downs of the game, as in even the earliest of Wolfenstein games, the maps are really well thought out. The maps in the new Wolfenstein, while aren't terrible, just aren't as creative as you'd expect coming from the masters at id Software and Raven. One of the more disappointing things is the tribute to the secret areas by pressing your action button against walls. There are secret areas, but they're just not as fun to find since it's not a wall just pulling back to reveal a special area.

While the maps aren't as impressive, the story is very well thought out and fits perfect in this occult shooter. The architects have uncovered crystals that possess power from a Sun dimension, and now the Nazis have their hands on them. So this time, as B.J., you are on your way to uncover the secrets of these crystals and try to take down the occult once again. This story line is truly faithful to the Wolfenstein series.

One thing I've always been a fan of in these games are the weapons. They're a blend of actual WWII weapons, while mixing in a few 'what if' super weapons. The new gun, the particle gun (which instantly vaporizes enemies into dust) is one weapon that is incredible to use. Now, the weapon does feel a little cheap the first time you use it, but after you discover how limited the ammo is, it feels pretty well balanced for the game. You also sport a veil, a device that holds your power crystals for slowing time or seeing things in another dimension. All of the weapons, including the veil and the grenades, can be upgraded using gold that you find throughout the game. The upgrade system is pretty impressive. It doesn't just allow you to unlock everything you want. You have to find secret tomes and intel throughout the maps to unlock features for your upgrades. While this system is pretty fun to use, the weapons are a bit limited compared to other shooters. However, I don't think Wolfenstein was designed to be more than a typcial Doom-style shooter with an actual story to back it.

The graphics are a bit dated, but they're not bad at all. It's the Doom 3 engine. The engine still looks really good, has great lighting, and still impresses. It's not going to blow anyone away like Crysis or Killzone 2, but it does it's job at providing a smooth and sweet looking Nazi shooter. The framerates stay smooth throughout all of the action, even during switches between one dimension to another. I was pretty impressed with the sound quality. The running waterfalls when falling near your character on a surround sound system really sounds life-like. The gun sounds are most impressive, as they each hold a booming sound instead of the typcial light sound most shooters give.

Now, the multi player is where the game is a little messed up. The game is less inpiring in this area, and it really doesn't feel like they put much though into it. The maps aren't horrible but the whole system just feels a little cheap. When you come from games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory: Wolfenstein, you expect that excellent experience to carry over. The game is a typcial deathmatch style game with a few objective maps, however, they just don't feel as strong as the aged 'Return to'. It's still fun in some ways but don't expect this to take the place of many better multi player shooters out there. There's at least a ranking system, which is always better than nothing.

If you're just looking for a relaxing shooter with classic gameplay (and then some), this is the game for you. If you're not into single player adventures, I'd wait until a price drop or at least until they patch up the multi player. But for those who don't care and just want a classic Wolfenstein Nazi hunting game to go through, this game will keep you busy.

Read Best Reviews of Wolfenstein Here

There are just some titles you can't wait to play, aren't there? For me, Wolfenstein is one of them.

id has long been one of my favorite gaming companies. In their own words, "[They] love corridors. We're not big on open worlds, but we're getting there." Wolfenstein is a title that is helping them reach this goal.

Wolfenstein is a halfway open-ended world comprised of different parts of town, sewers, and distant places which are traveled to during missions. Although the player isn't stuck on a linear path, it does become clear after a few missions that you are ultimately "forced" to go a certain direction in order to progress. Regardless, it's a blast!

The story is in-depth and kept me interested through the entirety of the game. As a player of Wolf3D (who wasn't/isn't?) and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I have been waiting to see how BJ would continue his fight against the Nazi regime and the occult. This latest installment was a pleasant surprise to see BJ take almost guerilla-like tactics against the Nazis. Rather than simply running and gunning, the entire city is open for hiding and striking.

The ability to use some of the occult to assist yourself through the game is a nice change. The Veil, which is upgradable as the game progresses, is a great added feature allowing you to manipulate the environment, enemies, and even time. There is a slight feeling of an RPG in this game as you can upgrade the Veil, weapons, and acquire gold to purchase goods. This is nothing cumbersome and never feels like you need to go out of your way to reach these upgrades. Beware, however, that you don't have enough gold (even if you find all hidden treasures) to upgrade everything, so choose wisely.

The graphics and physics are quite good. There seems to be a slight decrease in framerate while in the Veil, which is disappointing since you use it rather frequently, but it's nothing severe.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with this game. I have since become nostalgic and went back to playing Spear of Destiny, Wolf3D, and Rise of the Triad (originally planned to be Wolfenstein 3D II) . I hope they make another Wolfenstein despite the terrible sales of this installment.

Wolfenstein is one of those games that sat on my shelf unopened for a while. It came out well before I got a PS3 and was just one of those titles I'd not thought of until I bought it on sale somewhere and figured, it can't be "that bad."

About a week ago, I opened it on a whim, just to kill a bit of time when winding down.

Then I was immersed. Wolfenstein is a shooter with mystical qualities and a sense of location I haven't encountered since the first Bioshock game. There's plenty of reviewers who went into more and better detail, so I won't echo what they said. However, I did want to give this game some well-deserved props.

I haven't finished Wolfenstein yet, nor played the multiplayer, but I can say that the time I've spent with it has been great fun. If you're looking for a GREAT game to fill the summer lull in games releases (before an insane November) BUY THIS GAME NOW! You won't regret it.

I hope the developers are working on a sequel. I can tell you, I won't dismiss this title again. Or let it sit on my shelf unopened.

This was the first game i beat on my ps3 and the first metal gear game i beat(except for metal gear acid!, which is non-canon and a card game). After beating this game i became a huge metal gear fan, and instantly dusted off my ps2 and beat metal gear solid 2, metal gear solid 3, the original metal gear solid on ps1 and metal gear solid portable ops on the psp. This game was so good i wanted to go back and play all the mgs games i had not played. Ive heard some people say if your not a metal gear fan steer clear of this game i disagree though. metal gear solid 4, was the first metal gear game i beat and the story made sense, the game play was so good i couldn't put the controller down. After i beat metal gear 1,2,3, and PO, I went back and beat mgs 4 again and picked up on a lot of mgs inside jokes i completely missed on my first play thru. So my advice is get this game. Prior metal gear storyline knowledge is not a must, but does enhance the game. This game is so good it stands on its own as a great game and more then likely will make you a metal gear addict and make you want to play the older versions to fill in all the gaps.

I'm writing this review for all of those out there who see the high ratings/reviews (and even the crappy reviews) and still wonder if this is the game for them. For some of you it will be, and for some others it won't be.

Let me begin by saying, if you don't like stealth-action games, then you won't like this game. Pick your genre well when playing games, and you'll be set. However, if you like being stealthy, shooting enemies from a hidden vantage point, and the like, then you get plenty of that with this game. You can (and sometimes have to) change your stealth tactics depending on your environment: middle eastern battle fields, jungle environments, sneaking through the rainy streets of western Europe... all those and others can be approached in various ways.

On that note, the sheer number of choices you get in the game really make for a robust and dynamic game play feeling. You can choose from a multitude of weapons and distances to attack from. You can even choose to go hand to hand if you like. You could go all Rambo on them and blast everything in sight until you can escape or you can go through the entire game without killing a soul, if you really want a challenge.

The amount of varied game play is also worth taking note of. This is going from one style (first/third person shooter from Snake running/sneaking around) to a completely different style (the obligatory off the back of a vehicle chase style of MGS) to others that are even different still. I won't purposefully ruin anything, but the final two types are pretty epic and wonderfully appropriate for the final type.

There are a lot of complaints that the game has too many cut scenes and a complicated story that is too hard to follow. This game is meant to wrap the entire MGS series up to an ultimate ending. That will require a decent amount of story presented in a series of movie style cut scenes (and near movie quality by the way). However, I can assure you that there is plenty of game play in the game to balance out the cut scenes (the quickest you can beat the game is apparently somewhere around five hours, though I haven't gotten under six... and that's almost just running through the game and skipping every single cut scene including the very long last one).

Lastly, the replay factor is pretty high as one can use entertaining ammo (won't ruin anything here), the usual stealth cammo for near perfect invisibility, special weapons, and a bunch of unlockables based on the ratings/achievements you receive at the end of the game. All that while being able to collect more DP (money) to buy tons of stuff from the weapons dealer.

This game caters to those who are more casual stealth gamers to even difficult enough to challenge the most hard core stealth gamers out there (some ratings require insane marks to be met such as never being spotted, not killing anyone including bosses, not using a single continue, not using a single health regen item, and all that while completing the game in a really short period of time... like 5 hours). That all leads back to the number of choices the player has in the game. Your choices dictate how hard the game is for you (even beyond the choice of easy, normal, and hard when the game is started).

Let me say again, if you don't like MGS, stealth games, or robust/complex game play and story, then avoid this game as it was meant for people who do like some or all of those things. If you do like some or all of those things, then, chances are, you'll love this game for what it has to offer.

All that and I didn't even talk about how awesome the graphics are or how varied the boss tactics are... just know that the game deserves the ratings and good reviews it got based on the type of game it is.

Outside of Uncharted 2, I dont really know of any other PS3 game that comes close to how good Metal Gear Solid 4 is.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a story about an rapidly aging artifically created soldier by the name of Solid Snake, who is seeking to thwart the evil plans of a man by the name of Liquid Ocelot. Solid Snake goes through about 4 or 5 acts in the game, each scenery or locale drastically different from the previous one. Here are the pros:

1. You have control over what type of game you want: action or stealth. This game gives you a wide assortment of weapons, and you could easily go through it blasting away(of course, it depends on what difficulty level you have selected...you dont last long with this technique in "Big Boss" mode). You could also go through the game without a bad guy ever seeing you. What I love is that there are still are scene that require you to use weapons. For someone who wants to use stealth for the whole game with the exception of these mandatory shoot em up scenes, its sheer brilliance.

2. the visuals are spectacular, especially in 1080p. The visual transition quality from cut scenes to live game play are almost seamless.

3. Voice acting is above par, to the point where some characters are actually pretty annoying. (Snakes assortment of grunts, and Octacon being annoying as f***)

4. Not every act requires the same actions or goals. The game plays out like a movie, with different creative objectives in each chapter.

Cons:

1. I would say that the game feels short for being so epic.

2. Too many cutscenes. Sometimes it feels like half the game is just cutscene after cutscene, but thats inherent in any metal gear game.

This is a must have for any ps3 owner.

Title pretty much sums up my feelings.

MGS4 is and probably always will be the best stealth action game of all time. There is simply no half way here. Kojima has finally perfected his 3D world that he started with Metal Gear Solid. Every area has more thought put into it than most full-length games for sale out now. The story wraps up the franchise in a unique and thought-provoking manner.

Oh? You have a problem with complex, moving stories that encompass the faults and triumphs of human behavior?

I pity the fool that would bash this game for its cut scenes.

There is only one con of this game: after you play it, you'll look at your other games and just sit there wishing they were as cool.

No peeling. No fading. No wearing of the decal. Even on the controllers. At all. I'm serious. Just got up and looked at it to make sure I wasn't full of crap. Was pretty easy to install, just have to take special care not to allow air bubbles. If you get one that is kind of stubborn, get a needle and poke a really small hole in the middle of the air bubble and press the air out. PS3 was a used one and had a scratch across the top. Not any more. Still looks brand new. It says that the sticker will come off without damaging the skin of the console but I find that hard to believe, just simply because of how well it has stuck all these years, although I cannot speak to that since I will never take the decal off. I love it that much. If you want a skin for your console, these are the guys to get it from.

Our ps3 has a lot of dings and scratches so getting a skin seemed like the best idea. These applicators I have used before and they are a great quality and thickness to prevent further injury to the device. I loved that it came with decals for the controllers too so we put them on our two most reliable controllers. On that note, it would be nice to see maybe just controller decal replacements if the controllers die and the adhesives don't transfer, but the main decal on the ps3 unit doesn't peel, crack, or bubble. Good enough for me!

1st off this isn't a game so question one doesn't apply. 2nd I didn't realize there was a 1st gen PS3 and a 2nd gen PS3 and got the wrong wrap. So it would have been cool if it had fit my playstation.

This game is a huge improvement over the first one. They at least fixed alot of the problems that people complained about the first game. This limited edition is an exclusive to NIS's Rosen Queen Store, and was printed in limited quantities. (Not sure where the other review got the idea that this edition was available at gamestop, but that is completely false.) Worth picking up while you still can. Like all of Nis's games, once the LE is gone, it's gone for good.

Ubisoft released Just Dance 3 for the Wii and the Xbox back in October 2011, but noticeably absent was a version for the Playstation 3, which didn't get released until two months later. Those of you who've read my rather detailed reviews for the Wii and Xbox versions know that I'm a big fan of this series and have been since the first version came out for the Wii two years ago. The pop music soundtrack has a little of something for everyone, the motion detection is decent, and the choreography is easy-to-follow and a lot of fun. It's one of the best party games out there.

The best way I can describe Just Dance 3 for the Playstation is that it's a direct port of the Wii version, nothing more, nothing less. As a result it's not a bad game, but you can't help but feel that it could have and should have been so much more.

As with the Wii version, when you start the game you get a pleasantly simple home screen which consists of three menu options: Just Dance, Just Sweat, and Options. Menu navigation is seamless using the Playstation Move controller.

Choosing "Just Dance" lets you select individual songs to dance to or lets you select different playlists that group songs together by style or genre. As with the other versions, as you play you can collect "Mojo Points" to unlock new playing modes, new songs, etc.

Turning on "Just Sweat" mode lets you choose a free session where you can start working out to any song or playlist, or a 7-Day Challenge section with three options of increasing intensity which are roughly the equivalent of walking, running, or swimming 30 minutes a day. As with the other versions, you collect "sweat points" as you dance to different songs. Like the Wii version, you're basically on the "honor system". If you just move your hands, you can get a high score. But to get real exercise (and have real fun) you should be putting your whole body into the dancing.

The choreography, graphics, and animations are literally identical to what you'll see on the Wii and the Xbox. The only noticeable difference I saw was that some details are a little sharper in the PS3 version (for example, in Katy Perry's "California Gurls", the details of the normally silhouetted woman's face are very clearly drawn, to a slightly creepy effect).

As with the Wii version, you hold a single Move controller in your right hand and mirror the on-screen character's moves. The motion detection is decent, although not quite to the precision and detail of a game like Dance Central 2 on the Xbox or even Everybody Dance on the PS3. This is by design; while those games stress more complex dance instruction and technical accuracy, Just Dance was clearly designed to be a fun party game first and foremost.

As on the other platforms, all songs are marked with icons that designate their technical complexity and their workout intensity. All the songs can be played by 1 to 4 people, each with their own Move controller. In most of the songs all players dance the same steps, but there are a handful of songs that are cleverly choreographed for two players and four players to dance a full routine with each dancer having his or her own independent steps; these are a ton of fun to play in groups where up to four players can dance and the rest of the group can enjoy an entertaining performance. On the Xbox version multiplayer mode can get awkward, as all four players have to squeeze within the Kinect's camera view. The PS3 developers wisely designed the game so that if the Move controllers happen to go outside the range of the Playstation Eye camera, the internal accelerometers of the Move controllers will still detect motion (much like a Wii Remote). While this may detract slightly from scoring accuracy, ultimately it makes multiplayer play a lot more fun as players don't necessarily need to worry about squeezing into a tiny space.

While the port of the Wii functionality was near flawless, I have to admit I was disappointed that they decided to leave it at that. Given the capabilities of the PS3, it could have been so much more. For example, the choreography mode that was developed for the Xbox version is noticeably missing from the PS3 version (a shame given that Sony already demonstrated with Everybody Dance that it could be done and done extremely well on the PS3). Something else in the Xbox version that's missing from the PS3 version is the ability to see your own video image and compare it to the on-screen character's movements. Surprisingly, there isn't even an option for downloadable content, something even the Wii version has.

In addition to the aforementioned omissions, I would have loved to see them push the envelope forward with a "record your performance" feature and the ability to share on social networks, both things which the PS3 is fully capable of. But there's nothing like that here.

I'd say that Just Dance 3 is ideal for PS3 owners who happen to have friends or relatives who already have Just Dance 3 on the Xbox or Wii. You'll be able to practice on your PS3 and not miss a beat (literally) when you play the same songs on their systems. Furthermore, if you have a child whose school uses Just Dance 3 in gym classes, this would be a great way for him or her to get a little practice at home. And of course, the fact that it's casual makes it a lot of fun for families and friends to play together at parties.

On the other hand, if you're looking for the best dance game on the PS3 and don't have any ties to Just Dance on other platforms, I'd have to give the edge to Everybody Dance, which does a much better job of maximizing the use of the PS3 Move and the Playstation Eye camera.

For those who want to lose the weight put on during the holidays, this is one of the Exercise Routines on Just Dance 3 for PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360. It is the newest version of the game. It has several dance music to choose from like Party Rock Anthem, Jump, Boogie Wonderland, California Gurls, Pointer's Sisters' I'm So Excited, Everybody Dance Now, and many others. It is not only fun but it will make you sweat and lose inches. I have the PlayStation 3 for Move and PS3 Eye version. I love it! The light on the PS3 Move Controller changes into different colors while doing the dance moves. I am giving this Video Game a 5-Star Rating.

It does rock. People are complaining it's the same as wii, but really? It's suppose to be! It's for us Play Station lovers that don't want to a buy a wii. The songs are awesome and the dances are fun. 3 takes Just Dance 2 out of the water. It's great game for parties and on your own unlike that one everyone is comparing it too. But seriously check it out. I love the Just Dance games. It's about shaking your butt and having fun with people, not all the bull the so called gamers rate it on.

I'm sure this cable would be fine for a PS2 on a CRT TV. Stay away if you use a PS3. Image is horrible at any resolution on an LCD TV. Contrast that with the same type of cable I picked up at Gamestop which produced a much better picture. Still less than HDMI, of course, but leaps and bounds above the near unusable image produced by this cable.

This cable "works" in that it will send a picture from the PS2 to your TV. Tested it with "Shadow of the Colossus" in interlaced mode and the image looked okay except for some faint diagonal lines that were mainly noticeable in the darker areas of the screen. Switched to progressive mode and immediately noticed a softness to the image. It was especially noticeable on white text which became surrounded with color distortions reminiscent of anaglyph 3D images made for the red and green/blue glasses.

The cable may work just fine for you if you're not ultra critical about picture quality. I've not been too distracted by the inherent flaws of this cable to enjoy some games, but beware that it is not likely to produce a perfect image.

PS2 review on 42" Panosonic HDTV

PROs

in game text is more crisp(clear & easy to read)

sound is pretty good

graphics look alot better

CONs

tight fit into back of Ps2 Slim version

due to ps2 games being made at 680x480 revs, the image will not fit the whole screen(black side bars), but this is easy to fix by changing the aspect ratio setting on your HDTV. And that will cause stretching. I was able to get full widesrceen(black bar at the bottom & top.they were NOT thick) with only a little stretching.

Other

All HDTV are not made the same so you may get worst or better results than I got. Make sure your HDTV has the correct aspect ratio adjust settings.

There isn't much information online about this charging system, but I took a small risk and ordered it anyway. I'm glad I did...this is a great little system and is easy and convenient to use.

In the box you get the charging mat, an AC adapter, and two charging clips. The charging clip plugs into the USB port on the PS3 controller and has a spring-loaded arm that hooks on to the bottom of the controller, between the thumb sticks. The clip doesn't get in the way at all my fingers don't touch it when I'm playing. My hands are average-sized for a man if you've got gargantuan paws you might notice the clip but it won't hinder play.

Once the clips are inserted in the controllers, plug in the mat and drop the controllers on it. You'll hear a satisfying click as magnets pull the controllers to the mat. The 4 lights on the controllers will start to blink indicating that charging is taking place. That is all there is to it...this takes 2 minutes, tops.

So how does the mat work? It uses induction charging. The base produces a rapidly-changing magnetic field which creates a current in the receiver on the controller. The receiver is connected to the USB port so the current charges the battery. This method means the mat is safe to touch. The metal stripes on the mat are not electrified and present no hazard. The magnetic field is not very strong this is why the controllers have to sit on the mat. It's also why the mat can be placed next to the PS3 without damaging the PS3's hard drive (I keep my mat next to my PS3 and have had no trouble)

Charging doesn't seem to take any longer than it does using a USB cable which is a nice surprise. Induction charging often charges at a slower rate.

My only gripe about this product is the length of the AC adapter cord. It's about 5' long which may sound like a lot but I keep my PS3 and mat on the top shelf of the entertainment center. I had to use an extension cord to plug in the adapter. This wasn't enough for me to dock a star from the review.

One last note: it's safe to leave the controllers on the mat all the time. The controller has built-in protection against overcharging. That's why you can plug the controller into a USB port and not worry about it overcharging. Once the lights stop blinking then the controller is charged and can sit happily on the mat awaiting your next gaming session.

I'm glad to be free of USB cables. I know my controllers will always be fully charged when I'm ready to game, and as an added bonus I know where I can find my controllers now. The kids weren't very good about putting the controllers away after using them but for some reason they're good about putting them on the mat.

I expect this will be a reliable system there are no moving parts, nothing to plug in (after the initial assembly) or unplug. Just charge, game, and repeat.

I had a couple of the cradle chargers before and I was constantly wrestling to get the controllers to plug into them. This is so much easier to use as all you need to do is sit the controller down on it, in any position as long as it is facing up.

Love this product and would recommend it to others, I've owned play station three for years and this is very worth it and charges the controllers well

Want Intec G7769 Charging Mat for PS3 Discount?

This item is described as an induction charger, and it is absolutely NOT an induction charger. It is a plate of metal fingers, and they are ELECTRIFIED to 6.5V DC as confirmed with a multi-meter. The controllers get a small interface attached to them with 4 points of contact to this plate, and because of their orientation, they are guaranteed to make contact no matter how the controller is oriented/positioned. The charger works well, but having a large plate of exposed electrified contacts seems like a problem. 6.5V isn't enough to be a problem for kids or pets, but if it isn't properly designed to handle a short circuit, it might burn out if a metallic object is place on it.

Some reviews not that the metal is purely for magnetic attachment, and that simply isn't the case. Just for fun, I put a piece of plastic wrap over the plate, and allowed the controllers to magnetically pull themselves down to the plate. The unit didn't work at all without direct electrical connection between the plate and the controller.

I may return it, I'm still undecided. I don't see a better option for a charger in this price range, but I still feel like I was ripped off on an item that has a blatantly incorrect description.
