Easy to install, work perfect no w i can have al my ps3 devies connected at once.

This was the major problem that i have found with my ps3, 2 USB ports and i have.

Rockband, Pulse headset, ps3 camera, singstar wireless mics, and other stuff.

That means that everytime i want to use them need to unplug one to use another, i hate that and many of them requires energy.

If you want to use for my same situation this is a good deal, energy can charge controllers and other ps3 accessories at the same time.

Its a USB hub, a fairly simple device. I purchased this hub to use with a laptop I have that only has 2 usb ports. It was 1/2 the price of a comparable hub in the computer section of the store I bought it from.

PROS:

* Cheap.

* Included 3 different USB cables of varying lengths (~12 in. to ~4 ft).

* Can be used without the power supply if you don't need the extra power boost.

* Looks nice.

CONS:

* None?

OTHER THOUGHTS:

* I can't speak for how well this thing charges PS3 controllers, since I'm not using it for that purpose.

Controller is nice. Don't think its the OFFICIAL jungle green from Sony though. It said "army green" in the package and it's just on a black base. (not the dark green two tone) But I'm pleased with it. The rapid fire has its quirks. The mode button on the bottom is kinda awkward for me. Not sure if its my long fingers, but I seem to hit it on accident a lot. And I might try to round the button a little for comfort. The controller tends to lock up for couple seconds if you hold the rapid fire for a while in certain games. But it works flawlessly as a regular controller with it off. All in all, I got a near identical controller in a green that I've been searching forever for. And for only ~$10 more than a regular controller. (much less than an official jungle green controller new too) Plus it has the rapid fire functionality for multiple modes. Im enjoying it. It's my new favorite controller.

Let me just say that I have been a fan of this series of games since the original introduction of WWF Smackdown! on the PS1. There have been things I have liked and disliked for each iteration but overall the gradual progression of the series has been good. WWE 12 is no exception to the evolution of this series.

WWE 12 with its new Predator technology is certainly different but not so much as to turn off any fan. The controls are simpler and the motions are more fluid, along with improvements to the body texturing. With all this said you still know it is Smackdown Vs Raw underneath it all. Lets get to what I personally find good and bad after a few weeks of gameplay:

GOOD

Improvements in fluidity of moves and movements. The grapples and strikes seem more natural now, less jerky movements.

Textures of each character are improved, although I did find some hair models lacking still.

Gameplay is fun, reversals are more difficult but can add to the excitement of a match. The new limb targeting system also adds another layer of gameplay.

WWE Universe is improved to allow for incredible customization, edit and create brands and each wrestler within. You basically can control the entire experience. Vastly improved!

Creation mode. The addition of arena creation is a great addition, but most all the other creation modes are exactly the same as Smackdown vs Raw 2011 unfortunately.

Menu screen music! No more artist tracks being played in the background, now it is just background music that doesn't drive you nuts after the 100th listen.

NOT SO GOOD

Glitches and bugs, small things but certainly noticeable. Props to THQ for addressing some of these issues in a recent patch.

Online. Recently it has improved but for quite some time most things were unavailable due to server issues. Still some lingering issues now and then.

Lack of improvements/additions in moves and create-a-wrestler. Was really hoping for some improvements in CAW mode, skin tones are really disappointing still.

Tables. Still limited to what can be done on tables, no climbing atop tables remains disappointing.

Those announcers, they still hoot and holler and are as annoying as ever, also rather late to announce moves.

OTHER

Have not played Road to Wrestlemania as of yet in fear that all the other reviewers are correct and it is a big pain with little to no fun.

Overall I do enjoy the game if only for its deep customizations which allows you so much creative freedom. The new Predator tech seems to be on the right track and with some more tweaking over time can really grow into something great. One thing I want to mention is that I still miss the GM Mode from previous games, I found that incredibly enjoyable and would love to see it back in the series. WWE Universe does a good job of emulating certain aspects of GM Mode but I still miss many of the features.

As a side not I was supposed to get a code to download the Rock from Amazon and never received one, unsure if others are in the same situation.

Am I impressed with it? Well.... let's go through 10 points of the game, at a maximum of 10 points apiece and find out.

THE AI 4

It sucks. There is no real improvement on it. Basically, on top of reversing everything you do the higher up you go in difficulty... NOW all they do on top of that, is try to spam running grapples. It's ALL THEY DO. You simply cannot have an intelligent, well-paced match against the AI. Multiple person matches are ridiculous to try, as the AI will break up most moves you try to do. I did a 6 man battle royale, and ended up hanging back, because I couldn't do anything. Every single move I did, another AI would walk over and break it up. Some improvement, Yukes!

ENGINE 5

Now come on... Yukes and THQ spent the last several months hyping this up as a revamp... a "do over" of sorts with the WWE video game franchise, and this... the basic set up of the game... a decade old engine that cannot POSSIBLY be screwed up... was indeed screwed up. How you may ask? I have no idea. 2011 was probably the best showing they made with the engine ever, and they managed to take that good coding, and make it worse. Firstly, the new weapon physics from last year are just about worthless now. Wrestlers bounce off weapons like they're being thrown into a wall, instead of simply landing on them. Several times already, I have dropped people on chairs, only for them to stop before hitting the weapon, and bounce like they were thrown into a wall at 30mph. Winning Table Matches are borderline impossible now, as now the moves are harder to turn with. I spent over half an hour in a Tables Mtch as Jack Swagger last night, not able to EVER turn the gutwrench powerbomb towards a table... the engine just would not let me do it. The new rope physics? The ropes now act like taffy... moving where ever, and when ever they please, and it's looks very unrealistic. I do not know how they managed to mess all this up!

CHARACTER MODELS 7

Most of the roster looks relly well done. How ever, you still have your normal issues. Natalya looks about 100 pounds soaking wet... Mark henry is nowhere near his real size... Brock Lesnar has an added 100 pounds of muscle mass than he really has... Triple H sports a 6 pack he could only wish to EVER claim to have owned... Nash's hair looks matted to his head... Demolition look like the early 90's figures that were 1 solid piece of plastic... and Rock has no hair on his head or face at all. The models as always, are mostly well done, as Yukes only ever seems to be interested in making them look good, as opposed to playing well. I have not yet gotten all the wrestlers unlocked, and I do not have any DLC though... so I cannot comment on the DLC, or LOD, Vader, Booker T, or Vince McMahon

MOVES AND MOVEMENTS 5

Even more backwards than 2011. As I already mentioned, an almost perfected method from 2011 was bastardized and ruined this year. You can rarely get what you want out of a move, unless it's a slow set-up, such as the Tombstone Piledriver. Hit detection is beyond horrible as well. As The Rock, I tried to throw his trademark punch after dazing my opponent, but it missed 5 out of 6 times. Top rope moves... which were fixed in 2011, to hit no matter if the wrestler was looking at you or not... gone. It is back to the old routine of "if you're not lined up perfectly, it will not hit." Even running attacks have taken a step back, because if you're not lined up, you will miss entirely. How does a company like Yukes praise their game before release, when playing it is this difficult? Taunts look better, as when I performed a taunt with Kevin Nash, he had a full facial expression including eye movements... how ever, THIS is the biggest compliment I can give for this portion.

AUDIO & VIDEO 3

Wow. I cannot begin to tell you how bad this is. This is another thing Yukes hyped up for months... saying they spent hours reviewing WWE footage to make it a "real experience." Let me tell you, the whole 3 points I gave this section are JUST because the camera angles are realistic. Entrances? Turn 'em off... they're unbearable to watch. Everything sounds like it's playing down a 400 foot hallway with you on the other end from the speaker. I guess this is part of the "realism," but half the time I can't even tell if the music is playing for several seconds. The echo just makes this whole experience terrible, as even the ring announcers can barely be heard sometimes, IF they even speak, because there is a bug where they randomly do not intrroduce the wrestlers. The other major "hype" by Yukes was where in Universe, the opening of the show would play while the first match was loading. This is probably the worst thing I have ever seen. First, the opening video for the show is less than standard definition, and it skips and freezes every 2 seconds! While this would not be so bad... in Road to Wrestlemania, you HAVE to see this EVERY single show! To me, this is an unforgivable thing from Yukes... there's no way this should have gotten so bad!

NEW FEATURES 6

The "all new Breaking Point Submission" system... is crap. I won't even try to insult your intelligence on this one. All they did, was remove the system from 2011, and replace it with the button-mashing crap the fans begged to be removed from the previous versions. There's no skill involved in forcing someone to tap. You wear them down, lock 'em in... and button mash. Absolute crap! The grappling looks better this year, though after about 50 matches... you do get frustrated with it, as there are only about 20 animations altogether for it, with most being previous animations just looped into a new system. The belts are indeed fixed, and most look incredible... though if the belt was always ugly... it still does, you can't fix it with a video game. Community Creations is said to be a little different, but I would not know, as it has been down since I bought the game. I have dabbled a little bit in Create An Arena, and it's about what I expected... a little hype for something that will need a LOT of future work. For what it is... I guess it's ok. Until the community starts getting into really detailed custom logos, we won't see anything unique, though making Starrcade for use in Universe is a go for me. Finally... being able to break up moves, has ups and downs. You can be trying like hell to hit a finisher, but the AI will STILL walk over and throw random punches, even if it's your own team-mate! Backstage brawls are SLIGHTLY improved, though your moves are weakly limited still, but there are actually environmental grapples this year, unlike last year. But... only having the ONE backstage area does not make it fun once you've done it once.

UNIVERSE MODE 6

I would not call this year's a massive improvement. Basically... you can do what ever you want on a card, and it will now count towards rankings, unlike last year. Plus, you can put a Title on the line when ever you please. It's pretty straight-forward all around. How ever, I have noticed that while you can pick which belts you want on your brand, as well as customize RAW and Smackdown to something else... there are glaring issues. First, as you unlock Titles, you can vacate them in Exhibition, but you cannot in Universe. I have several unlocked, but I cannot pull them off the wrestlers in Universe Mode... why? Did no one think of this when they programmed it? Unreal. I am also seeing the same matches... over... and over... and over. Every week on RAW, the Main Event is Stone Cold vs. Randy Orton. EVERY WEEK. I have not come across the injury feature yet, though I have read complaints about it being too frequent, a complete 180 on what Yukes said it would be. Interfering in matches is not as easy as it sounds, either. Basically, you have 1 minute while the ref is down to do what you want to do. The issue? Good luck doing it! I interfered as Punk on Santino vs. Triple H, to help Marella win. But, I could not attack Triple H! Every time I picked up Hunter for the GTS, Santino would walk over and randomly take swings at Hunter, and I would lose the move. The match ended up getting thrown out because I couldn't even leave the ring due to the AI getting in the way every time I got near the ropes.

ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA 4

It has it's own purpose. How ever, you have to repeatedly do the same things over and over, to the point of where you wonder why this mode isn't so much shorter. Basically, I am over 6 hours into it, and still not even through the Outsider Story. This mode has 3 parts, which are almost never-ending. There doesn't even seem to be any kind of a set schedule with it, either. One week you will just have a random match... another you do a backstage segment... then you do multiple backstage brawls. What kills this mode, aside from length, is that it's built around cut-scenes, which would not be so bad if done in a regular way. How ever, in this Road in WWE '12, almost every match concludes with the triangle button flashing over your opponent's head when they are beaten down enough. You hit the button... and we commence to a cut-scene, which most of the time, doesn't even make a whole lot of sense. Without giving much away, Triple H has been in 4 WWE Title Matches already... and every one of them ends in interference. The story takes so long to progress, that I keep getting bored with it, and do some Exhibition. At one point, I swear to you I went through 3 PPV's without the story EVER going anywhere. I still have a story and a half to go... and I'm running out of patience with it. If it weren't for several wrestlers needing to be unlocked in the Hero Story, I would not even bother with it. It's too long... too boring... and nothing ever happens that is note-worthy. Anyone who has this game will know the "beat him to the right of the vending machine" shows up every 3 to 4 shows... there's no creativity in the story, or in the programming.

CREATE A WRESTLER/FINISHER/ARENA 8

The highest score out of this whole review... and to be honest, it's mostly because the Wrestler and Finisher modes were more or less completely untouched. I haven't made a wrestler yet, as I want to unlock everything first, but I looked through everything, and if there are things removed, I don't notice them... everything looks pretty much the same to me. As was my thought, and confirmed by people online, Create a Finisher was not touched at all. No new moves or animations at all... I can fully see this feature being removed... because to be honest, it serves no purpose other than kids creating painfully long finishers to spam online to laugh at. With Arena... it serves it's job, and as I said, hopefully good artists will come up with some neat designs down the road.

REPLAY VALUE 6

I will be honest, playing as a lone person against the AI... you will only be able to stomach it for so long. With me, I have a few friends who love to sit around and play these games, and we make our own entertainment out of our matches, as, unlike the AI, we pace our matches to look decent, instead of spamming the same thing over and over. When it comes to Road to Wrestlemania and Universe... only die-hard WWE fans will continue playing through these modes up until the release of 2013. Road is basically a one-time deal... if you go through it twice, you either LOVE the WWE Kool-Aid... or you're a glutton for punishment. Hopefully with a patch, Yukes will at least fix the constant rematches un Universe Mode to make it more enjoyable, but I see myself sticking to Exhibition when playing alone... as the added headache of changing every other match can be done by me, outside the mode. Personally, if I hadn't gotten this for free, and paid full price for it... I would be very upset, and probably returning it within a couple weeks, and continuing to play 2011. It just.... doesnt feel improved, it feels like a rushed, broken-down lump of attempted fixes, that when broken, were never attempted to be corrected.

OVERALL SCORE: 54 out of 100

Seeing the videos online... seeing the hype for it... I knew not to expect a great game. How ever, I didn't expect it to be THIS bad. Yukes took about 5 steps forward with 2011, a leap they had never bothered to try and make in 12 years. This year how ever... seems to be the year they send out a broken down game in order to hype up WWE '13 as "all new and improved," where they will put back in the features they took out, and fix the issues they purposefully broke. No one can tell me they didn't do these things on purpose... as there was NO reason to remove the fixed top rope attacks... nor make colliding with a move, punch or kick so hard to do. Business is business... and Yukes knows how to play people. The selling is also faster, which means escaping the cage takes good timing, as the AI will always be up before you are halfway up the cage, no matter what you do to them... it's just horrible timing, horrible programming... and makes me shake my head at what the people at Yukes believe makes a great game.

Rent it first, folks. Whether it be from a video store or an online program... RENT IT. I am far from happy from this release, and cannot believe it was ever approved to be shipped in the shape it's in. Whether people agree with me or not... doesn't matter to me. I know what I like in a video game, and being frustrated about not winning due to difficulty should be my only problem... NOT getting frustrated because half of what I try to do... will not work.

Want WWE '12 Discount?

The latest wrestling game released by World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE '12 offers incredible customization but somewhat lackluster gameplay.

WWE '12 is a wrestling game styled after the WWE's signature television shows, such as "Monday Night RAW" and "Friday Night Smackdown!". It includes every talent currently on the WWE roster, as well as unlockable characters from the franchise's history. The basic mechanics of wrestling will be familiar to any fan of the shows, but in essence gameplay generally revolves around either weakening an enemy so they can be pinned for a 3-count or fulfilling some specific objective dependent on the match type.

The game has several main modes. The simple exhibition mode is just a throwaway one-shot match for up to four players, with all sorts of applicable conditions. "WWE Universe" is a sort of "season mode" where specific bouts take place on the WWE's different shows, setting up title bouts and other major competitions. In this mode it's also possible to set up new franchises and edit the attributes of existing wrestlers. Finally, "Road to Wrestlemania" is a sort of "story mode", following either the Heroes or Villains in a linear set of matches where the player assumes the role of different WWE superstars.

The gameplay is relatively simple. Wrestlers primarily use striking (i.e. chops/slaps/punches) and grappling (throws, chokeholds, etc) to wear down their opponents. Certain special move conditions, such as attacking off the ring's ropes or attacking from a run, also exist. While every character has recognizably different moves, their playstyles aren't really dependent on them. The striking is simply attacking, while the grapples are executed with little player input (i.e. you would press forward-plus-X to do a certain grapple, and other than that it's not that different).

The player's defensive options are, quite annoyingly, limited to hitting R2 immediately before being attacked; there's no blocking options or anything similar, so if you miss that small window to counter an attack you're basically stuck. In some cases, you're not even given an opportunity to hit R2, so you just have to sit there and watch your character get pummeled. Conversely, it's easy to get an enemy caught in a long combo, because they've got the same problem.

In terms of customization, though, the game is absolutely amazing. Characters can be customized in terms of their facial features, physique, outfit (or outfits), abilities, moves, crowd response, and entrance. The moveset creator, in particular, is incredibly detailed, with a huge library of wrestling moves for every possible situation. Characters can even be given names that will be said by the announcers during their entrance and as commentary on the match, though these names must be chosen from a (fairly large) list. Furthermore, all these things can be uploaded and downloaded on the PS3's network, giving players access to a wide variety of custom characters, movesets, and even arenas. It's even possible to import custom music and videos from the PS3's hard drive to apply it to the game.

The game's graphics aren't that great; the textures seem kind of flat, especially for a PS3 game. The animations are good, though they tend to have problems when the ring itself gets in the way. The game doesn't look too bad when it's in motion, but in any circumstance where the graphics are the focus (such as entrances), they just look noticeably low-quality. They're hardly awful, especially given the customization of the characters, but they're not great either.

Overall, WWE '12 isn't really good enough to recommend to non-wrestling fans. Its somewhat frustrating controls and gameplay aren't really made up for by its incredible customization if you're not into wrestling already. On the other hand, if you ARE into wrestling, it's about as comprehensive of a game as one could hope for.

"Alone in the Dark" is a game that had a lot of hype behind it prior to release, but when it finally landed on the 360, Wii and PS2, it was pretty much broken beyond repair. All of the fundamental elements that make a game enjoyable (outside the storytelling aspects) were left in a perpetual state of disarray. Long story short -it played like an undercooked beta release. Why Eden Games chose to release the title with its fundamentals fractured so terribly is beyond me.

What we've received from Eden Games in "Alone in the Dark: Inferno" is a greatly improved build that, unfortunately, still suffers from some clunky play mechanics.

First, the improvements:

01 For the most part, the player has been given full control over the game's camera, allowing for a 360 degree view of the environment. Occasionally the camera locks itself down, but this is done in moments that require the cinematic effect. For the most part, it works.

02 Edward no longer controls like a tank. This change was pretty much a given when the camera was freed up.

03 The inventory system is less convoluted. The order in which you combine items is no longer dead set, and its easier to navigate in general.

04 The driving mechanics have been tweaked. Now one of the game's most exciting levels (the final stage in episode 2) is a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating. The cars no longer handle like boats.

05 A "hint" system is integrated into the early stages to help orientate the player (this may have been in the 360 version, but I certainly don't remember it, particularly during the first driving level).

06 The storyline is pretty much identical between builds, but there's been a fundamental change made surrounding a quest that in the initial build involves a LOT of painful backtracking. I don't want to say too much for fear of spoiling things, but this change helps the flow of the game immensely.

07 A new level has been added mid-way through the game.

Now the problems:

01 Despite the tweaked control scheme, Edward is still a bit difficult to control. There are times where I'll want him to walk one direction, and he'll sort of wander in a slightly different direction. This was particularly annoying in the later half of episode 1.

02 It's easy enough moving him around in first person view, but the controls are never as sensitive as one would like in first person, and getting into a gun fight can be really irritating, particularly if you're used to the precision aiming in games like "Resistance".

03 There is no 5.1 surround support in this game, which is sort of a letdown. It's the only game I own that lacks 5.1. There are also no subtitles, which just feels lazy. One of the people in my house is deaf in one ear and partially relies on subtitles to convey the story. This is probably the only PS3 game I own that lacks subtitle support.

04 Using melee weapons is problematic. It's a good idea for a combat system, but it's implemented poorly. It reminds me a little bit of that PS2 Jet Li game, but less refined.

There are a lot of big ideas in "Alone in the Dark: Inferno". It's a very ambitious game, and I think that's one of the problems. I get the feeling that this title was just slightly outside the capability of Eden Games. They couldn't quite pull it all together into a cohesive experience.

Having said that, the game features an exciting episodic presentation and a wonderful musical score that utilizes the award-winning female choir known as The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices. The voice acting is solid (the guy who plays Max Payne voices Edward Carnby) and there are some excellent set pieces that really get the blood pumping.

If you can look past the slightly awkward control scheme and the occasional graphical oddity, I would suggest picking the game up. The price has already dropped quite a bit (I picked the game up brand new for $29.99 at a local Game Stop) so now's the time.

Wow, this game took me by surprise. I first played the demo and then picked up the game on discount. It's much better than the reviews would lead you to believe!

First off, I think the graphics are very impressive; it might not be Uncharted or Killzone 2, but there's an undeniable artistry in the game designers' post-apocalyptic version of New York City. The lead character, Edward Carnby, also looks really cool, and the monster designs are exceptionally scary.

Like a big summer movie, the action set-pieces in this game are astounding! The designers were obviously influenced by Spielberg's popcorn films, as well as disaster movies in general, as many of the situations you come across seem pulled right out of the cinema (try not to shout "cool!" when you dangle from a wire outside a crumbling skyscraper and the camera pans down to show exploding vehicles from the street far below being flung upwards and nipping at your heels). I particularly liked the final level, which seems like it was pulled straight out of the Indiana Jones/Mummy films.

Alone in the Dark: Inferno is also wildly innovative, which is where you might argue that it falters from time to time (thus some of the scathing reviews)--personally, the unorthdox game design is what impressed me the most with this game. The inventory system in particular is very unique: anytime you need to use an item, weapon, etc, you press a button and the camera switches to a 1st person "inside your jacket" view, where you look through the character's eyes as you pull items from your jacket pockets and equip/combine them on the fly. True, this happens in real time, and it's possible to be attacked while you're doing your doing it, which is why some people might not like it; I think it adds intensity and sets this game apart from others (side note: you can reload without going into your jacket, so combat still works without being too much of a chore).

Another awesome innovation is the DVD-like chapter system that the game employs: it's like when you buy a TV series on DVD--every level of the game is broken down into different episodes and chapters. There's even a cool wrapup every time you resume a saved game: "previously, on Alone in the Dark..."

The writing is a bit juvenile at times (what with the overuse of the "F" bomb), but the story itself is very intriguing, concerning you-know-who (the big bad man with the red horns) attempting to make a comeback and plunge the world into darkness. (Another side note: this game is absolutely for mature audiences, and it does deal with the occult, but without getting into too much gory/incantation reciting details).

"Alone in the Dark" definitely stuck with me after I finished playing; it's an intense experience that I rank up there with the best gaming experiences I've had. It has its flaws here and there, but the good overwhelmingly outnumbers the bad in this case. If you love action/adventure games, I highly recommend it. (Final note: do yourself a favor and start killing the evil weeds AS SOON as the game gives you the opportunity--it'll make the final sections of the game much easier to complete, and you definitely want to see the incredible last level!)

Buy Alone in the Dark: Inferno Now

Atari's Alone in the Dark reboot has finally hit the PS3 (and been re-titled Alone in the Dark: Inferno), and thankfully Atari has taken the extra time to address some of the problems that hurt the game when it first came out not too long ago. The biggest issue with Alone in the Dark on the XBox 360 was the unresponsive controls, many of which have been fixed here. Now, driving around in the game isn't so godawfully difficult to do, even though there are still a few lingering control issues to be found while you're playing on foot. That aside, the game still looks good (despite some occasional graphical oddities), and those jaw-dropping moments that will jolt you out of your seat while playing are still here, and are still pulled off flawlessly. The great item uses remain as well, and the improved camera controls make the gameplay all the more rewarding. All in all, Alone in the Dark: Inferno for the PS3 is definitely the best version of the game to see the light of day, and if you felt burned playing other versions of it, check it out on the PS3, and you'll be much more satisfied with what you get here.

This game was killed with the reviews the first go and now that it has been rereleased the critics seem to hate it just as much. I was expecting a decent game for the $16 I payed for it but the truth is that this game is excellent. This is the first game I have played in along time that I would actually call hard. Not frustratingly so but it is a good challenge. Another good aspect is that there are times in the game where you will not advance if you can't think. Yes that is right, you must think. I know, it sounds strange given todays shoot 'em up action style of games but this one is so much more. Besides, this game is so cheep that if you are thinking about getting it then just buy it, for 16 bucks this game can seriously surprise you, now that I have played it I would have payed the full 50-60 buck for it. In short, it's a steal.

The bottom line is that this game is a gem and most people will never know...tragic.

I was pleasantly surprised with this game. Without going "Hard-core gamer" on this review, the gameplay although a bit buggy, is very satisfying. The cinematic sequences are of top quality and keeps you hanging on to the story. It's a solid, unique, and scary title that deserves to be played! Burn on Eden, burn on!!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program About 2 years ago my fiance was complaining about the noise from my surround receiver and my gaming habit. I took the plunge and bought the Ear Force X41 and couldn't have been happier... except for the near constant popping and clicking I heard. Moving the receiver away from my wireless router fixed some of this, but still, I would get the pops at random intervals and it could be quite annoying. Don't even try to use the microwave if you have the X41s turned on and on your head!

I then received a Steel Series Spectrum 7xB via Vine and did a comparison to the X41s. The 7xBs were only marginally better at keeping down the interference and the extra features over the X41s really didn't make me want to move into using them day to day, so I went back to the X41s not long after my review for the 7xB.

Now I'm comparing the XP400s to the X41s and I think I'm going to be sticking to the XP400s this time around.

First, there is NO interference to be heard on the XP400s. You read that correctly, NONE. I put the receiver almost on top of the wireless router that caused all my issues with the X41s and the 7xBs and not once in 4 hours of playing like this did I hear even a faint pop or click! I even tried to use the microwave and... still, no pops or clicks! For many people this alone will be the single best reason to upgrade from previous Turtle Beach models.

Pairing to the wireless controller communicator was done at the factory, so it really was a matter of: charge the headphones, plug in the receiver to the 360 (I used optical and replaced the X41 receiver), plug the headphone puck into the controller and power up the headphones. Powering up the headphones also turned on the wireless puck.

You can control the volume of game chat with buttons on the right headphone, mute is also on this headphone as is the Bluetooth pairing for cell phones. Being able to pair via Bluetooth is also how this headset also works with the PS3. PS3 chat isn't bad, but not as nice for me as the 360 chat, for which these headphones seem to have been designed. I paired this to my phone and made a few calls everyone thought I sounded OK, just a little tinny.

Another nice feature is the mic gain control. This is what changes the mic sensitivity. With it turned all the way up, I hear a near constant hiss and those in my party commented that they could hear a lot of background noise, such as the heater running and family members talking in the background. I dialed this down, which eliminated most of the hiss, if not all, and my chat partners all commented that I was then quite clearly heard, however, I was still described as sounding "tinny."

One feature I really liked about the X41s was how no matter what volume I had the game volume set to, I could always clearly hear my party's conversations because they had some algorithm to figure out and volume match in game audio and raise chat volume when explosions and other loud audio is heard in game. The XP400 do as good a job as the X41s, which means it's quite a solid experience to hear conversation clearly as well as in game audio. The 7xBs had a similar feature, but it would actually audibly turn the volume down of game volume, which was kind of distracting, which was another reason I went back to the X41s.

The detachable microphone is nice, and seems to be about the same as the X41, though the XP400 is a bit thicker and beefier. The connection seems to be the same, though I haven't yet tried swapping mics between the two. I preferred the 7xB due to the retractable mic, but that feature alone wasn't a big enough reason for me to use them all the time.

In terms of sound quality, since the XP400s can use digital audio output from the 360 (and it can also take analog, that red and white connection), you get very clear audio and darn good surround sound as well. In terms of the X41 vs the XP400, I think the XP400 has a little bit of an edge in terms of sound quality. In game surround just sounds better with the XP400s to me. The XP400 also has the ability to change the surround configuration to 4 different presets, all changing how it mixes each "channel" of audio in headphone. I've tried all 4 presets and each does change surround configuration subtly. I find the original surround mode works best for my ears.

Another nice feature is the preset "equalizer" modes. You can enhance nothing (what comes from the 360 is what you hear), you can enhance just bass for bigger explosions, you can enhance just treble for some dialog enhancements and other higher pitched sounds and then you can enhance both. I find I prefer the "both" option as it makes the audio sound a bit richer. All of these settings sound better, to me, than the 7xBs.

There is one feature, however, that I am completely not happy with on the XP400s. The battery is rechargeable, which is good, however it is built into the headset. It is NOT user replaceable! This means that in 2 years or so, after many recharge cycles, I'll either be forced to buy another pair of headphones or send these to Turtle Beach to pay a fee to have the battery replaced. I absolutely hate this about modern day electronics. Absolutely detest it built in obsolescence so that people have to spend more money with the company releasing the product. iPad, iPhone, many Android phones, other MP3 players, etc. It's a huge load of horse patoot in my opinion. I like the X41s because I can field replace the AAA batteries on my own. 7xBs, same thing, replaceable batteries. Not so with the XP400. Thankfully you can still use the headphones while they are charging, however this means they aren't always wireless. Nothing is more annoying than having the headphones die mid game and then have to plug in. Of course, this isn't a completely different experience over having to replace the batteries mid play either, just different. I understand the need for a more powerful battery given the added features Bluetooth eats battery, being completely wireless eats battery and so on. Just because I understand the need for more power than a few AAAs, doesn't mean I like having to have planned obsolescence and not being able to purchase and replace the battery on my own.

One thing that is an improvement is the XP400 actually gives you beeps to tell you the headset needs to be recharged. There was nothing more annoying with the XP41s to have them just die mid game, especially during multiplayer fighting as you stop hearing game audio AND chat when this happens. At least now I have about a 10 minute warning before the battery completely dies.

Turtle Beach claims 10 hours of battery life on a single charge for "normal" use and 15 for "optimal" use. What I've found is I can actually pull off about 12 13 hours if I turn off the Bluetooth function and just use it for game audio when I'm playing on my own. Adding BT and chat all the time and I'm down to around 11 hours.

Over all, the XP400s are a great improvement in every way to the XP41s in everything except for the battery being non-replaceable by the end user. Of course, the MSRP on the XP400 is about $20 higher than the X41s so there is that to remember.

Pros:

Great surround sound

True surround sound, not simulated when using optical audio

Chat and game audio equalization (chat isn't covered up by in game sounds)

Completely wireless

No interference

360/PS3 compatibility

Can be paired to your cell phone and used while gaming no fumbling to put headphones down to answer a call

10+ hour play time

Can be used w/ third party controllers (see Con below)

A step above the X41s

Adjustable microphone gain if you want to hear yourself louder in the headphones, turn this up. If others in your chat can't hear you clearly, turn this up

BT pairing to cell phone

Cons:

Tinny chat sound during party chat on 360 according to those in my parties

Battery isn't user replaceable

Third party (or 1st party wheels) require a cable for chat, which is NOT included (THOUGH THOSE w/ THE X41s, the cable that came with those headphones DOES work)

Pricey

Why 4 stars? That battery thing does really annoy me. IF you don't mind not having the ability to replace the battery and don't mind the price, these are a solid 5 stars.

Coming from the X41s, I had high expectations of the XP400s.

-Pros-

Surround processing is very accurate and detailed.

Bluetooth wireless chat.

New Dual-band radio eliminates nearly all interference for my setup.

-Cons-

Chat. Others complain it sounds like I'm talking through a coffee can.

Non-replaceable battery.

EQ modes very limited.

Blast limiter seems like it is always enabled, even when turned off.

Product Features

"Dolby Surround Sound Immersive 360 degree audio lets you pinpoint the direction of every sound"

This it does, and does very well. No complaints here. It even seems improved over the X41's surround processing.

"2.4/5GHZ Dual-Band Wi-Fi Selects the optimum frequency in the 2.4GHz/5GHz spectrums, virtually eliminating interference"

BIG upgrade over the X41. I used to get tons of interference from the microwave, video baby monitor, wireless... pretty much anything that plugged into the wall. Now I just get an occasional drop out... about once every hour or two.

"Dual-Pairing Bluetooth Answer mobile phone calls while gaming"

Great feature, albeit unnecessary. Good if you miss calls because your headphones are too loud.

*update 4/27/12 this feature has come in handy and works very well. It is slick being able to answer the phone mid-game and not have to wrestle around with the phone and headset.

"Wireless Xbox LIVE and PSN Chat Enjoy complete wireless freedom without the need for chat cables"

GREAT idea, but something isn't right. I've seen others mention the thin sound, like in a tunnel. I can hear them fine, they sound great... but they have a hard time understanding me. I've had quite a few friends complain about how I sound. "what's wrong with your mic?" "are you in a tunnel?" "are you chatting through a soup can?" "What did you say???" For this price, this shouldn't happen. I am currently working with turtlebeach to see if it is an isolated case, or just some shortcut they took on the mic itself.

*update 4/27/12 Worked with turtle beach. Did everything they suggested with no improvement. They kindly offered to RMA the boom itself, and I may decide to try it but I don't have much confidence it will change much. I say that based on the many other comments about the chat.

"Rechargeable Battery Provides up to 15 hours of uninterrupted gameplay and can be recharged while gaming"

This SOUNDS like a great idea, but it has 2 major flaws. If you need to charge while playing, it defeats the purpose of a wireless headset. The charging cable they give you is quite long, so you aren't strapped 4 feet from your 360. Also, at some point, that battery is going to wear out. LiPo (Lithium Polymer) batteries have limited charge cycles. Time will tell the quality of the cells, and what options we will have in the future.

"50 mm speakers; 2.4/5GHz Dual-Band Wi-Fi"

Speakers sound great, read on for my sound complaints.

*update 4/27/12 The sound really is good. It sounds better than the x41s did, as well as better than my sony and sennheiser headphones.

"Digital and Analog inputs as well as a digital optical connection"

Connectivity is simple if you already have an optical audio cable coming from the 360.

"Dolby Surround Sound with adjustable surround sound angles"

This is where I nit-pick. I don't fully understand the point of adjustable sound angles. Dolby surround is VERY specific about ideal speaker placement, and the surround sound processor should stick strictly to that in order to maintain 360 degree, positional sound. See The first surround sound angle option out of the 6 is the one that seems to be set for the correct speaker angles. The other ones all made the sounds to the side and behind seem like they were coming from incorrect angles.

"Dual-pairing Bluetooth Chat wirelessly on Xbox 360 and PS3 and answer mobile phone calls while gaming"

Already been covered. Cool, possibly useful, but a creature comfort.

"Separate equalizer and stereo expander presets can be combined for different gaming situations"

Once again, This headset loses some points for me. Yes, there are 4 EQ presets. Normal, Treble boost, Bass Boost, and Treble + Bass boost. Here's the problem. The normal mode is very flat. Very little bass. Treble boost is way too bright. almost ear piercing. Bass boost alone is just rumbling. Then the bass and treble boost is the least of 4 evils I guess. Still too much bright and too much bass. There really needs to be a happy medium. Right between normal and bass and treble boost would be ideal.

"Dynamic Chat Boost. Chat volume automatically increases as the game volume gets louder."

This function isn't noticeable, so in my opinion that means it is working. It took a day to really tweak the chat volume level but now that I got a good comfortable setting, it is fine.

"Ear Guard(tm) with Blast Limiter. Limit the intensity of deafening game sounds like gunfire and explosions."

Another great idea, but it seems flawed. I understand they don't want you to blow your eardrums, but it seems like it is always on, even when in the "Off" setting.

All in all, I guess I am happy with them. I don't plan on returning the headset, but I do think you should get a little better bang for your buck. Especially the chat mic sounding horrible. I understand that from a $5 generic chat headset, not a $220 set of high tech headphones.

I was able to snag these on Amazon a few days ago for $180, which was a STEAL! I mainly play MW3 (XBOX) so here is my review for now, I will update my review in a week or two with updates on the Surround Sound Angles.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

XP400 Wireless Headset

XP400 Transmitter

Digital Optical Cable (approx 4 feet)

Headset Charging Cable (12 feet)

Bluetooth Chat Adapter (PS3 & XBOX Compatible)

User Guide

Turtle Beach Sticker

WHAT'S NOT IN THE BOX?

XBOX Live TalkBack Cable

CONSOLE COMPATIBILITY:

XBOX

PS3

PC

FEATURES:

Bluetooth (BT) XBOX Live Chat or optional Wired Chat. I've tried both and the Wired Chat sounds better and breaks up less obviously, but I wanted to be completely wireless so I went with the Wireless BT. BT for cellphones so you can receive, deny or end calls via the headset which is awesome. *Note, the TurtleBeach XBOX Live TalkBack Cable is NOT included.*

Mic, the mic is removable and it has a "mic monitor" dial which is awesome. I turn it all the way up so I can hear myself so I don't scream.

Battery, it has a built in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. I'm not too sure how I feel about this yet, as being able to replace batteries can be nice it can also be very inconvenient. You can also charge the headset while playing with no popping, hissing, humming, etc which was great.

Surround Sound Angles, it comes with 6 surround sound angles, I have yet to find one I like best but they all work surprisingly well. Better than the older X41s and XP500.

Surround Sound ON/OFF Button is also nice to hear the difference.

Blast Limiter, I thought this was awesome. It allows you to "limit" the sound of background blast and gun fire to focus on the soft sounds such as footsteps, which I rely on heavily since I use Dead Silence in MW3.

Tone Presets, it comes with 4 tones presets, flat, bass boost, treble boost, and bass & treble boost. I prefer Flat myself.

SOUND:

Bass/Treble/Mids Amazingly clear and loud, they sound better than the X32's I returned for these.

BUILD: Awesome build, not as cheap as the X32, overall a much better build quality.

COMFORT:

The headset is very comfortable. The ear cups also are comfortable around my ears and they don't put pressure on my head so they don't give me headaches which is nice. They are slightly too big for my smaller head however, but they fit good enough.

HAVE A WIRELESS ROUTER:

I have a Netgear Dual-Band router with a total of 10 devices connected wirelessly, 7 on the 2.4GHz spectrum and 3 on the 5GHz spectrum and I have NO issues of any popping, hissing, humming, buzzing, etc.

HAVE LOTS OF WIRELESS DEVICES:

I have had 2 iPhones, an iPad, Roku, Roku2, iMac and PC laptop connected wirelessly at the same time while I game with NO issues. Keep in mind my Xbox is the only thing I have hard wired. I also have turned the microwave on two rooms away and still have NO, I repeat NO issues.

WIRELESS ROUTER IN CLOSE PROXIMITY:

I also have my headset no less 8 feet away from my router and STILL DO NOT have any issues. This is an amazing headset.

I've had the head set for a couple of weeks now and I have mixed feelings, though overall a positive reaction. I was upgrading from a Turtle Beach X1, which was wired. One of the reasons I decided to get the XP400 instead of the X41 or X42 was because many people complained that the X41 and X42 had interference if they were near a wireless router. I live in a one bedroom apartment and my turtle beach would be within 2 feet of my router so that would be a big problem. I am happy to report that the XP400 has had no problems being next to my router so the claim that it has no interference is true.

Instead of providing your own batteries, this head set has internal rechargeable batteries. I actually like it because you can recharge while playing. The charging cord is as long as the wired headset cords and one cool thing about the charger is that it is a USB cable, so you can charge it in any USB port. I have been charging it from my computer USB port and sometimes from my XBOX's USB port. Not to mention you can use this headset for both PS3 and XBOX 360, which I have both so its a great thing to have.

One feature that I really like that I didn't think I would use is the Bluetooth feature that can connect to a phone. I don't have the greatest phone reception in my apartment so using my turtle beach to talk on the phone has completely fixed that, not to mention that I can now talk hands free! You can also talk while playing, which I've only done once but its nice.

One thing it doesn't do is sync music from your phone, which other headsets do so if thats a big deal you should look at other turtle beach headsets. Also, because chat uses bluetooth, you can not talk on the phone and game chat at the same time. Once the phone call is over, it goes right back to game chat though.

Some people have complained about problems pairing the head set to the turtle beach, an easy way around that is to take the charging cable and plug the headset into the XBOX and then press the pairing button, and just like that they are synced. For the bluetooth chat just make sure you press the bluetooth button on the headset and the chat button on the controller piece at the SAME time and it will automatically sync. It doesn't really explain that, but it is really easy to set up if you know you need to press the buttons at the same time. It took me about 10-15min to set everything up.

The sound in the headsets are great! They have a blast limiter setting which muffles the sounds of gunfire and explosions so you can hear footsteps and small noises better. I have already seen an increase in my scores for shooting games. Another great thing is the surround sound, which allows you to hear the direction of noises. The cheaper model XP 300 is only stereo sound, which is the main difference between the XP300 and XP400 and that is a huge difference to me.

The biggest con is comfort. My X1 headset was really comfortable so I thought this one would be comfortable too, it's not. The problem is that the ear pieces press against your head to try and make a good seal, but the pressure ends up hurting after awhile. Another thing is that its a bit big for my head. I'm a 115 pound girl so my head is pretty small, so if you feel like you have a small head the head set will probably be a bit big for you, still works, just a bit bulky.

Overall Prosgreat sound, great bluetooth feature, works near wifi, PS3 and XBOX compatible, wireless gaming, surround sound, charges while playing, and long charge cable.

Consnot very comfortable, a bit too big for my head, doesn't sync music through bluetooth, if you do not have an XBOX slim you need to buy a headset adapter cable (if you were using HDMI for your headset before, you would have already bought this), and if the internal battery dies you can't replace them.

I personally like the headset and am happy with the purchase, I just wish it was more comfortable considering how much I paid for it.

Want Turtle Beach Ear Force XP400 Dolby Surround Sound Gaming Headset Discount?

I have the equivalent xp500 model and like many others who have at worst a moderately modern level of tech within the house, the set was useless with constant drops, cracks, whistles, the nine. The base unit on their 2.4 ghz line just stunk up the place, I spent hours adjusting positions and everything to get a clear, non-interrupted signal to no luck.

I constantly upgrade my router to the latest tech but have been going the dual band route for the better part of the last few years so I was sort of skeptical on the addition of the 5ghz band on the xp400 but after trying it, I was pleasantly surprised, it worked like a absolute charm. My current router is the top of the line asus rt66u that just came out and I have mutliple devices residing on both bands so I am asking quite a lot of the the xp400 but so far, I haven't gotten one interruption, it's been flawless. For people in my boat, it's worth a try, the new base seems considerably better in tech so far.

As far as flaws, I would say just like the other models, the bass is extremely underwhelming as compared to other companies. That hasn't changed, it's still the same speakers. The xp500 had a lot of buttons on it, I can imagine people complained about that. The xp400 has a more streamlined approach but a few of the buttons have been moved to the base which was silly in my opinion. The surround angles button being on the base just didn't make sense to me. The xp500 had RCA jacks which was nice as you could hook up a system thru the optical wire then go RCA jack from the tv to listen to tv thru them. While possible on the xp400, it involves getting a RCA to 3.5mm adapter. Conversely, the xp400 has the xbox360 transmitter included where the the xp500 required an additional purchase. Only other difference is the xp500/px5 had preset and configurable sound modes that aren't on the xp400, but those sound modes where so pointless and horrible sounding, it just not a flaw to not have them.

I also have a Logitech 2.4ghz headset that has always worked flawlessly regardless of router being used. They are more sound isolating so the sound is much more immersive and bass heavy but as others have stated, the turtle beach line really does do the high frequencies to a level of quality you just don't get in other sets. End of the day, it's a pick your poison. From a technical sound standpoint, the speakers in the xp line can't be matched on the wireless sound front. On a 'I need a punch' standpoint, there are a few out there that really do it much better. End of the day, it's a preference. I love sound isolation for music, but for tv and games, I think prefer not to have sound isolation so for me,the xp400's are the best wireless gaming headsets on the market.

I bought this to use with my driving games. It does work, but not well. When you turn, it does not matter how you turn the wheel (slow, fast, etc.) the car will only turn slowly. Also, the pedals only work like buttons instead of pedals, so when you want to give it a little gas, it will floor the gas for the car. The construction of the wheel is fine, it is plastic but it is solid. However, the software that runs it makes this wheel not worth the money.

While I had the first two Midway Arcade Collections for the PS2 the price of this made it worth getting as well since I actually haven't played on my PS2 for awhile. There's really not much to say about this collection other then it's a nice nostalgic collection of 80 and some early 90 games for those who grew up playing these either at the arcade or on consoles. Obviously the graphics aren't going to match up to today standards as most are 8bit or slightly higher but it's sometimes nice to play these longtime classics that bring back fond memories of those times for many of us. The collection is pretty decent about 30 games as the collection is similar to the http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Ultimate-Genesis-Collection-Playstation-3/dp/B001G33V8S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365461273&sr=8-1&keywords=sega+collection which is another great collection to have for the older generation gamers. Regardless for those of us who remember these games fondly then rejoice as this collection helps bring back those memories of yesteryear this time on the PS3.

I was very thrilled to get Midway's Arcade Origins for the Playstation and overall I was very impressed with it.I'm hoping the Midway,Namco,or even Data-East collections make their way to the PS3 consoles...I felt burned when I found out my copies of the PS2 couldn't be played on the PS3.On that note it was very refreshing for this Midway collection at a reasonable price. Our current 'most helped reviewer' has a pretty negative outlook and strays from logic such as the following....

Controller Functions:

Yes the trackball from Marble Madness had interesting reaction to the slightest touch, but the smooth action on the joystick knobs has pretty smooth response too.Same can be said for Defender or Super Off Road which used a steering wheel,as a substitute the playstation's controller and button assignments are well laid out.The reviewer isn't thinking like an adult 'I want a trackball blah, blah, blah' like a whining child.Technology has progressed (and will continue to) allowing these games to be comfortably played on a flexible controller. If you expect the controller styles to be 100% accurate then buy the original arcade game, actually a product like what the reviewer mentioned probably wouldn't be as heavy-duty or would be very limited to range of use.

The Games:

As far as the games some of these I had from the previous Midway Arcade Treasures collections and I felt the library was perfectly consolidated.Root Beer Tapper?it's a very straight forward game but requires speed and serious hand/eye coordination to keep up.Xybots isn't really in league with Wolfenstein 3D or Doom but it's a decent third person person shooter.Smash TV and Total Carnage were decent shooters of the early 1990's but they ate quarters since you got killed so quick by enemies in mass quantities...but the bosses were awesome!Rampage was alot of fun-who wouldn't want to be a ruthless monster destroying buildings and eating while destroying cars, tanks, and anything that can hurt you.I've never been much of a sports game fan but I liked the basketball game Arch-Rivals which allowed you punch another player to get your ball back...playing by street rules.Gauntlet/Gauntlet II was a quarter burner just like Smash TV and though it doesn't hold a candle to the souped up action games today Gauntlet was a tasty delight just as well as Wizards of Wor.Pit Fighter may not have gained as much popularity as Mortal Kombat due to advanced moves and fatalities. But you could move around more and pick up weapons(shurikens, pool cues, knives, and even a motorcycle) and at certain times there are two opponents at once to fight.Watch out for the occassional character who pops out from the crowd and tries to knife you...you can attack them back.Pit-Fighter came out several years before MK and despite the lack of eye candy gave I really liked Pit-Fighter.Galaga was created by Namco and I believe Space Invaders was as well,or maybe Atari...either way Midway/WB doesn't own the rights to these titles so that explains why they aren't included.Every game on this collection has varying fun factors depending on the player and I like this approach of these vintage collections,it really brings something special to the table.

Presentation:

It was pretty cool to see the old original cabinets of these classic games on the game selection screen,it really takes you back seeing them after all these years and the unique character behind these games. For thirty dollars rather than the typical fifty to sixty dollar price for a PS3 game just released?pretty good value. The ability to choose free play settings such as difficulty, number of lives, score bonus does lend flexibility to the settings.

Final Thoughts:

Not that I'm against the video games of today(as a matter of fact my modern game collection consists of first person shooters),but alot are missing something special behind all that high resolution...to be honest I think the newer/hi-tech games have gotten easy to beat. These retro games were more streamlined back then-some were just fun in general to play and some were flat out challenging.Although this isn't an included game PAC-MAN was a great example of a basic retro game..it required very quick hand and eye coordination to survive. The beauty of these arcade collections is they get re-released in higher resolution without sacrificing the natural low-res graphics and even better...no more quarters to burn through! As I mentioned earlier I had the Gottlieb and Williams Pinball Hall of Fame Collections,Midway Arcade Treasures Vol.1-3,Namco Museum Collection and the Intellivision Collection(it was okay but accurately captured).Altogether I spent alot more time playing these collections than the newer games because they prove to have a focused level of enjoyment.Just like the Sonic's Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection-It doesn't quite shine me on like the arcade collections do,but I do miss those my old Sega Genesis at times.Anyways, the Midway Arcade Origins is great and I highly recommend it...5-stars!

This is a great mix of games. I love Defender, Stargate, Smash TV, Sinistar, Wizard of Wor.

The sound effects are my favorite part. If you have an HDTV and sound bar than this is heaven.

I have read complaints about how it is a re release of last generation's but you can't forget that Midway went under and WB owns it now. The games are presented in HD 16:9 so it offers something the other Midway/Williams compilations don't.

Turn off the lights and escape into the wonderful world of the 80's arcade experience!

I would have paid the price just for Robotron 2084. Honestly there are only about 10 games in the collection that I play constantly. But IMO if we are honest, we remember that when we went to the arcade, there were only a handful of games that we pumped our money into anyway. Sure, it was fun to have our friends around, 80's tunes on the jukebox, the click clack, of the air hockey tables, and the demo sounds of all the surrounding games all clamoring together... But at the end of it all it was just the favorites that we put our hard earned quarters into. This collection of games is no different. Find your favorites and play them until the controller breaks... Buy a new controller and start again!

This thing works just like you'd expect it to. I haven't tried the card reader... Also, you get a USB cord that has a male and a female end... so you can plug this in to the cord to have it away from the system for some reason, or you can do like I did, and extended my charging cable for when I need to charge a controller while playing.

Turns one USB port into three, so I can hook up my Move camera and still have three free ports for what ever I need.... PLUS it has a SD card reader, so you can upload pics, files etc. that are on an SD card! Great Product!

Perfect for families big enough to have all the instruments in Guitar Hero or RockBand going at once. We found it to work well and it allowed all of us to play at once. Good product that seems well made and functions as it is advertised to do.

It works. But really slow. Put an SD card in and put pics or videos on your PS3 and you better go do some dishes or take a nap. It will get the job done but at a snails pace.

Needs the usb "extension" cable to work. No need for extension but clearly I have no option but to use it otherwise.

1. I'm disappointed because this "video game station" is listed in the PS2 accessories, and that's what I ordered it for... but, because the PS2 it's a tray load system ie, slides out horizontally, it doesn't fit (unless all you want to do is store it there, then take it out to play). But is fine for the "top" loading systems. 2. The slide out drawer is large enough to hold many game cd's +the controlers. The top compartmnet will hold a controler too. Also within the top compartment is place to put memory cards with a snapping lid (it was designed for the cords, but this is a better use so their all together and won't get lost).

This station is ok, but for the cost of it you probly could go to the local Lumber Store and slap a cupple pieces of plywood togeather and have the same thing for cheaper.

I bought this and it is worth it but not the cost.

This controller has no vibration or Sixaxis support, and it requires batteries, but those are the least of its problems. I bought 4 of these controllers, and all of them had control problems (the analog sticks didn't work properly in some games). The official PS3 controller's not perfect, but at least it works properly in all games.

I thought it would be a rumble controller...other than that it has worked out good so far! My kids love the fact their favorite teams are on the controllers.

If I was reviewing just for Xbox 360 then 5 stars all the way! It works perfectly. However, the standard Dualshock PS3 controllers just don't fit very well especially if you plug it up to charge with a USB cable. Just trying to hang it on the rack often results in the PS3 controller falling off and bouncing on the floor. And Wii controllers, forgetaboutit! I have multiple systems and many controllers so I love it for storing 4 Xbox 360 controllers.

If anybody from the company reads this review, please make a new rack just for PS3 and a new rack just for the Wii controllers! Put me down for one of each!

I don't think i would have ever found it if my husband didn't... but i'm glad he did...

We cannot wait for the black color to be released for the black controllers we have.

This is a great gift for all the gamers out there. AND its also inexpensive :)

Bought this rack for my game room. Really sturdy, easy to install, works great! Highly recommended if you need to organize your game room.

I recently bought the Armory to try and organize my son's room. He has 3 gaming systems (Nintendo Game Cube, Xbox and Playstation) and all the controllers and wires ended up thrown on the floor, tangled and making a big mess. The Armory easily held and organized all the different controllers, making everything look neat and uncluttered. What a relief to be able to walk around my son's room without tripping over wires!! Even the wireless controllers fit nicely. It's made out of a durable plastic, very easy to install on the wall (my 10 year old son was able to do it)and is a great value at a low price. I highly recommend this product.

This product is a great way to store your wired or wireless XBox 360 game or Playstation (1, 2 or 3) controllers and is made of very high quality plastic. You can mount this to the side of an entertainment center or on a wall via anchors and screws.

Read the 1st part I don't double review just to to do it it's Amazon's character count. Now back to my review I hate the level where you have to protect Vespar on the Barge I don't hate the entire level I just hate that 1 part but this is a pretty good and for $30 to $31 beats the $50 to $60 when it 1st came out I'am taking about the standard edition so you should give this Bond game a shot it's no Goldeneye on N64 but a fun game none the less.

Very disappointed with this product. The left joystick does not work or respond very well. When playing Black Ops 2 the semi-auto weapons still only fire like a semi even while the Mode 1 is active and "flashing". The only thing that I like is the sniper breath. When trying to contact the seller I get three options and all three forward to another number that wants you to leave a message.

I gave it one star because it looks pretty on my mantel.
