Worst buy I have made on Amazon. I always am confident of what I buy but this piece of junk is going to make me think twice next time I buy something. It looked fine at first, but with the faulty device, I could not connect it to any bluetooth because it would not scan this headset. Then the instructions did not help since they were also faulty, not specifying what each part was;Not helping at all with how to connect it to somewhere. Overall, I gave it one star because I could not do a negative

Over all I found the frag fx to be an excellent controller, and is worth the price if you want to use a mouse while gaming on your playstation 3.

Pros: Helps increase accuracy(unless you are bad at video games, nothing will help then); Increases turning speed significantly; Buttons are remapable; Motion sensitivity is remapable; L3 and R3 are hot swappable

Cons: Mouse pad is terrible(can use it in lap, or on a table); D-pad is terrible in every way, its position is wrong and it miss hits directions

Over all I think the frag fx is a good product, even with its few flaws. The mouse and nunchuk work great so long as you read the manual and set it up properly.

When I first saw it, I thought, "Well, it's about time!" So I ordered this from Amazon and just got done playing Resistance again with it...

I don't play online so I am not going to give this great product a negative review so no one else would have the same advantage. :)

And no, it's not 100% like having a KB/Mouse setup, Some things about it are better, some worse, but overall, I find it to be better than playing FPS on a console with any controllers or even a PC using KB/Mouse.

1) Mouse aiming is say about 90% as good/accurate as on a PC, but 200% better than Sixaxis.

2) Unless there's a 7 button PC mouse I don't know about, having 4 additional button on the mouse is a plus.

3) Left analog stick for movement is superior than using KB.

As I have read somewhere, the aiming and moving can get jerky, but to me, it's no worse than when I tried to play the original Half Life on a PC with less than the most expensive graphics card back when (cost me $300 to upgrade). The accuracy I've gained far outweighs anything negative about this product, which is very few.

There's one minor problem with my middle mouse button (R3), however. When I press it to zoom in or out, it fires one or two shots which would alert the enemies. So I reassigned R3 to reload and problem solved. It still fires one or two shots but no biggie. The configuration software thinks I'm pressing R1 when I press R3.

I placed a call to their technical support, and after 3-4 rings, the CEO of the company answered! I told him what a great product I thought this is and brought up the minor issue of the middle mouse button. He suggested I send email to tech support and said that if the firmware upgrade didn't fix the problem, he'd personally ship me a new one tomorrow. But again, this is not a show stopper for me, I was really testing their tech support number.

I'd like to point out:

1) This does NOT need a driver on PS3.

2) RMB and LMB does feel a little weird, but not crap, just getting used to.

3) The only tweaking I needed to do was assign the buttons in the game and increase in game setting's sensitivity to max and dial the mouse sensitivity on the FragFX to 3 like manual suggests.

4) I thought something was wrong at first, but realized I was pushing the wrong button for PS button. DUH!

5) wires don't bother me. I could have waited for the wireless version coming out soon. And I'm glad I didn't!

6) I don't find mouse pad size to be a problem.

7) In the past, I've found 3rd party controllers to be more fragile, BUT, I would gladly purchase another FragFX if I had to, it's worth it!

I own XBOX 360, PS3, Wii and a gaming PC. And I believe Wii actually is the most realistic controller for FPS (pointing to aim vs analog stick or a mouse), just wish Wii had better graphics... And I can't wait till they release FragFX for xbox 360 which is actually in the works! Amazon, please take my pre-order!

I purchased the FragFX despite many negative reviews here. Somewhat skeptical, I thoroughly read the website and the manual and proceeded to proceed.

Firstly I will say I think this controller is fantastic! Cod4, R6, RFoM, Ut3 (especially ut3, I'll explain later). There are some things you should know to get optimum use.

People who have stated the controller is jerky did not read the manual. You need to adjust the game's sensitivity to max (or slightly below) before adjusting the sensitivity on the controller. If you use low or medium sensitivity in the game, it will be VERY jerky and act like it has a lot of acceleration. Simply read the manual as this is explained!!

Those who claim the buttons are hard to press did not read the website or manual. You can change the sensitivity of all the buttons on your Windows XP computer. Min and Max Levels for each button are available. You can make a button respond very easily (I'm talking super turbo desert eagle here) or make it very difficult to mis-press (grenades!! AHHH). Simply goto the website and download the configuration software to get your controller set how you want.

Next... Those who complain the button layout is hard to use suffer from the same fate as those above. The same program that allows you to change sensitivity of buttons lets you remap your buttons! Hate using Square to reload in Cod4? Just set it to a trigger. Want reload to be shaking the nunchuck? No problem! You can switch the sticks, switch the stick clicks, anything you want. It is fully customizable. JUST RTFM!!

The Sixaxis support is very good. You can change the sensitivity of the accelerometers, as well as changing the default plane. So if you rest your hand sideways, the game will recognize that as the 'zero' point. It is a very nice addition! No other controller I'm aware of lets you do this.

The controller has a "mouse" mode that works well for use of the playstation store and web-browser. Much better than the Sixaxis, but still not as nice as mouse and keys.

The configurability of this controller is unparalleled. Nearly every complaint I've read in the reviews here were simply due to people not being informed about the product they've purchased. No defects, just simple ignorance.

Now to the product itself. It does work like a mouse. You can adjust the speed, and acceleration if you're clever. Speed (linear) is controlled by the game's sensitivity. Usually you want this to be near max. Acceleration is controlled by the controller itself. If you like small movements to be very small, and large movements to spin you around twice then set medium in-game and high controller sensitivity. If you like very linear controls then set in-game very high, and the controller very low.

The buttons all work well once you set your desired sensitivity. I particularly enjoy using single-fire weapons with very high-sensitivity (low min) on my left mouse button. This allows very, very rapid fire well beyond what's physically capable with the Sixaxis.

There is a "frag" button in the controller which cuts your sensitivity down on the fly. It's located above the L1 trigger and very easy to press. When sniping or using the shock rifle in ut3 it is an amazing tool. It will allow you to have a very, very high sensitivity for movement and on-the-fly slow down for sniping and very fine-tuning of long-range shots.

The mouse-pad is larger than your average 'pc' mouse-pad. It has an arc at the top that gives extra room for wrist throws. The optical system allows easy use on your couch or pant-leg or whatever. The nunchuck is well-made, though I prefer a diferent d-pad position, and I love the analog stick on it.

----

Now to mention why this is so much better in UT3 than their key and mouse support. One word: auto-aim. When you use a 'controller' in ut3, all the weapons have auto-aim around your reticle. When you switch to mouse and keys, this auto-aim is completely gone. Using the FragFX you still get the auto-aim, plus the accuracy of a configurable mouse. You also get much better movement than simple keys which are only on-off movement. Since the FragFX has configurable buttons you can set up some wicked stuff for UT3. It's honestly almost unfair.

Did I mention the frag button? Ut3 + frag button = CHEATER. Really, you have to try it.

----

Note that the configuration program does not work with Windows Vista or Mac OSX or Linux or Solaris or BSD or whatever OS you're using that's not Windows XP.

First,

If someone plugs it in without reading how to properly set it up that will cause 100% of the issues that all those nOObs that wrote negative reviews reported. I know this because I did too...BUT, I'm not a nOOb that immediately jumped online and started firing off ignorant comments, rather I read the instructions and made the game adjustments recommended and BAM! ( as Emeril says ) all the "lag" and miscalibration went away and I immediately went on massive, record breaking, kill streaks on Unreal. ANOTHER THING! I read a review from another nOOb that said,"The first thing I did was go to the browser..." THIS control is for GAMES not browsing, that's what the Mediaboard and other keyboards and mice are for...I have noticed that the sensitivity levels I have configured for the games presents a problem when going back to the online mode, but who cares, I have a Mediaboard and before that I used other devices for web browsing. I purchased this VERY REASONABLY PRICED controller to kick serious butt on FPS games and to that end it delivers WAY ABOVE EXPECTATION! Anyone who says otherwise has either:

1. Not properly configured this VERY customizable & configurable device.

2. Never used a Mouse & Keyboard on PC platform and is a complete nOOb with that scheme anyway.

3. Not taken the, maybe, 10 minutes it takes ( after proper configuration ) to get used to the feel needed to use it.

Mostly, I believe the negative reviews are just a classic case of plugging it in right out of the box, maybe turning the sensitivity dial on the side a little, and saying, "Duh...This don't work!" and writing a pouty lip review. It is a awesome innovation unlike anything else the world has seen for the way we play console games and 100% DELIVERS on the promise of bumping up your frag count on FPS games. It was built from the ground up to do ONE THING and that is BE THE BEST FPS CONTROL SCHEME EVER MADE. To that end, it delivers! All those nOObs out there who fired off a review without taking the time to set it up properly and get used to it, need to consider what it means to the rest of the world that read their garbage and miss out on a revolutionary experience. People should really take a hard look at wither or not they took the time and put in the effort to give an accurate review. It is not fair to people out there that are assuming that they have used the product as intended and derived their experience that way and don't realize that a product that is left to be customized in every way by the end user is very liable to not be used correctly by ignorant people that don't take the time to learn how to properly use it. This is why most companies don't allow the end use to customize their product. Because it takes a touch of common sense and education that is out of reach of a great deal of consumers. A device like this is only for people intelligent enough to use it. Others should just stick to their thumbsticks and get fragged by the rest of us! :)

When playing "Resistance: fall of man" demo on the PS3, and trying to play with the PS3 controller and this, I noticed that I can obviously play better with the fragFX. I always hated playing FPS on gaming consoles because it's hard to aim and run around, like you can with the PC. The most annoying bug on this controller is that the sensitivity implementation is really really whacked out. They have this scroller on the side of the controller to adjust the sensitivity on the fly (which is cool), and they have this button that just lowers the sensitivity of the mouse by a couple levels (which is also cool when you need to aim at something that's tiny), but those cool features are nullified by how the sensitivity works. Here's an example of how it works:

sensitivity 1: when u move your mouse the mouse will jump 1 pixel at a time with a slow acceleration (which is expected)

sensitivity 10: when u move your mouse the mouse will jump 20 pixels at a time. This is where it goes wrong...instead of doing a smooth acceleration, it just jumps 20 pixels, so there is no way you can aim at small targets with a high sensitivity because the mouse will just literally jump at 20 pixel intervals (when u move the mouse only a very little bit, the mouse won't move until u reach like a 1/4 cm change and it jumps 20 pixels).

This sensitivity issue might be just a ps3 limitation but I doubt that. Until they come out with a better firmware, you should stay away from this.

Lastly, this thing really needs bluetooth, cuz the 10 feet wire is quite annoying. Also, I've been reading reviews @ IGN and other sites and they say there's software I can download to adjust the sensitivity and buttons for the controller, but their site is pretty much useless. They have a pdf version of the manual that comes w/ the controller (and the pdf file is screwed up anyways), and they have downloads of their logo (which is pointless). I wonder where this "software" is.

Bought this to get some extra USB slots and it works great.

I was a bit hesitant after seeing the other review mentioning that it wasn't that snug...I found that at first as well then decided to read the manual before throwing it away, there is a hook on the right hand side that fits into the PS3, then you hook up the USB side...this makes it a lot tighter and a better fit.

This was the best accessory I ever purchased for the PS3. It fits perfectly and is completely snug IF INSTALLED CORRECTLY! Make sure to install the hook end FIRST then the usb port SECOND. If installed that way, it works absolutely perfectly! I tried every port and it read everything that I plugged in and quickly too.

On top of it all, it's aesthetically pleasing which basically it doesn't stick out far and fits perfectly. When installed, it looks like its part of the system naturally! No large jutting pieces or anything like other media expansions.

I would recommend this to anyone, its cheap, and literally perfect! A MUST BUY FOR ANY PS3 USER!

This media expansion bar works fine, but Power A should definitely re-think their definition of "seamless." It fits okay, but to me does not look like part of the system (as the box and product description would have you believe). I've used it to transfer videos and photos as well as play Rock Band and it has worked well thus far. The only other thing is you have to be careful when removing USB connectors and media cards as the unit doesn't really fit into the PS3 all that securely. All in all I think I would have been better off getting a media hub slim, but was able to get this new for less than 10 bucks so couldn't pass it up, and I'd say it was worth what I paid for it.

This product was a little bit tricky to install. If you don't pay attention to the small hook-shaped tab, you can easily plug the device in incorrectly, which will cause it to feel wobbly and loose. Once it is installed correctly though, the usb hub/card reader fits very securely.

The device blends in with the system perfectly and you can barely notice it's there, which is a plus. I plugged in an Eye Toy camera, charged 2 controllers and a bluetooth headset, and everything seemed to function just fine.

The main reason I chose this Expansion Bar is because I used to own a 60GB model ps3 that had 4 usb ports and a multi-card reader, and this add-on attachment basically brings those features back.

I used to always keep a memory stick pro duo plugged into my 60gb ps3 and I used to routinely back up my game saves to it. The cool thing about the 60gb ps3 was that there was a plastic door that concealed the card reader and you could keep the memory cards plugged in at all times without worry of dust or having the sticks accidentally bumped. After testing out the card reader for this "Media Expansion Bar", I noticed that the pro duo memory card stuck out almost an inch out of the front like a flimsy diving board. I was hoping to leave the memory card in there at all times, but the memory stick can easily be bumped and possibly damaged because it sticks out so far. The ps3 detected the memory stick just fine and I was able to import and export game saves, music, and other files with ease. Another problem with the card reader is that there is no door or covers to keep dust out of the open memory card slots, so expect a lot of dust to build up after a while.

Overall, here is what I loved and hated about the "POWER A Media Expansion Bar":

LOVED:

I can finally charge multiple accessories without having to unplug something else (4 USB ports)

The device blends in with the console, not too bulky

fits very securely into the system (if installed correctly)

HATED:

the "hook" part can be a little tricky to install (and uninstall)

memory cards stick out too far, putting the cards data or the card itself at risk of damage

no way to keep dust out of card reader

In the end, this is great USB hub and I am mostly satisfied, but if you are looking to keep your memory cards plugged in at all times, look elsewhere.

Want POWER A Media Expansion Bar for PS3 Slim Discount?

Overall I like the product; for the money, it is a nice way to add some additional ports and memory card slots (which I miss not having after owning an original PS3 "fat").

The fit and finish in my opinion is just fine snaps right in fairly tight. It took about 5 seconds to install, and seemed to work flawlessly for the last month.

So why only 3 stars? I went to plug in my PS3 SingStar USB microphones (branded and sold specifically for PS3; not some cheapo aftermarket thing), and the SingStar program continually kept recognizing and then dropping the microphones. I finally unplugged my new media expansion bar and just used the original PS3 USB ports, and the microphones worked perfectly. So bottom line, all of your accessories may not work with this product, which is a major flaw.

Still, overall for the money it is decent. If you just play normal games (no singing) and need the memory card slots for slideshows, etc, then this product will be fine for you. And it detaches fairly easily, so if you have to temporarily disconnect it, it isn't a big deal.

Overall recommended, but just go in knowing that it isn't a perfect product.

Well i got this game after watching some video on it and i thought hey this looks decent. I enjoy this game alot, yes it is a kids game although younger kids would not be able to do it and they would miss alot of the humor. This game plays alot like ratchet and clank with the straffing and shooting and the rail grinding and platforming. The graphics are good and the voice acting is done well. Overall i was very surprised and happy that i purchased this game. I knocked off one star because the frame rate drops from time to time but it usually only lasts like 5 sec.

A this moment, this game is overpriced. Being positive, it's good as Little Big Planet but more expensive, why?

I want a game to play with my sons (7 and 5). What I don't like is that Rango use pistols and I don't like this for my sons. I know that kids likes fighting and to compete but at least arms used in kids game could be shown as some toy like a water pistol, nerf pistol or something more innocent.

The good thing is that it's true to the movie in characters and the story line is very creative. Event with the little point of pistols, price is important. You don't receive anything new or innovation to pay more than similar games for kids.

If you're looking for a review of the games themselves, I suggest looking up the original reviews for the games here; Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy Jak II Jak 3. I will simply be reviewing the new features for the trilogy package as a whole.

1. HD: The visuals in this game have definitely had a huge overhaul. The frame rate is a smooth 60fps, with hardly any hiccups or slowdowns. The character models look much more detailed and fine tuned. Environments look beautiful as well, and seeing many iconic locations remastered with detailed HD graphics can only be described as nostalgic. I hope they keep up the good work they've done with updating these PS2 classics when they make the Ratchet & Clank Collection.

2. 3D: For many, this won't matter since the number of 3D TVs in households is still a slim number, but for those who do (myself included) it's a feature well worth mentioning. They did a great job making the visuals really "pop". The multiple layers are well placed for dynamic depth perception. It' really been a joy to play the trilogy in 3D so far. You can adjust the depth to your liking, but I found the default setting to be just about right.

3. Trophies: If you're looking for a few challenges while replaying the trilogy, Naughty Dog's got you covered. The trophies range from challenging to pushover, but it's still been fun collecting them, as they have you doing things you might have otherwise never tried. The platinum trophy should give gamers a pretty big challenge to obtain, but with games like these, you'll enjoy every moment of the effort.

Naughty Dog's Jak Trilogy has long been a staple of the platforming world and replaying these games is a stark reminder why. It's a steal for $40, but for any less it's a must own! They just don't make games like these anymore, and they probably never will again, so it's definitely worth picking up a copy and reliving the joys of playing the original trilogy.

I may be biased because Jak & Daxter is my favorite platformer and I think it paved the way for other great series' such as Ratchet & Clank. I've long waited for Jak 4 on the PS3 -but Naughty Dog just revealed that "Last of Us" was made instead of a Jak 4 because the team ran into trouble while attempting to design it. But as they always say "never say never".

As for this collection, it's the next best thing. The HD visuals are definitely an upgrade to the originals on PS2 (particularly 2 & 3). Frame rate is smooth and the environments look great. I do not own a 3D television so I can't comment on that, although I have read that it is well done.

If you're a fan of the series, you'll be very pleased. If you've never played Jak & Daxter before, this is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the best platformer created IMO for $39. In addition, there are trophies to collect! Enjoy!

Nostalgia is exactly what companies are banking on when they re-release games like this. Having sold off this game a long time ago with my first PS2 I was happy to see one of the most charming platformers of last generation return. Obviously they can't change the very dated polygon counts, but the textures look sharp and after a while you realize how great these games looked for the time they were released. Worth buying if you like the series, personally I'm a bit partial to the first Jak & Daxter.

Read Best Reviews of Jak & Daxter Collection Here

Before I begin, let's get one thing straight. I am not reviewing any of the games right now, I am simply reviewing the quality of the HD ports themselves. The Jak and Daxter games are by far one of my favorite games in the world, so if you want to know whether I like these games, I do. I like them a lot.

Now. The games are still good, and still playable even against today's standards. But the quality of the HD port is probably one of the worst in the HD Remasters series. Elements that are present in other HD ports are missing from the port. The games run at a fluid 60FPS, but all of the Jak games ran at 60FPS to begin with. All previous framerate issues with the PS2 versions have been fixed, so instead of being a variable 60FPS, it now runs at a constant 60FPS.

A new Stereoscopic 3D effect was added into all three games for all of you people who own a 3DTV, and it does the job. It's pretty good for a simple conversion. But, as you'll read below, I feel like the need for 3D was unnecessary, and easily could have been put on hold so that more pressing technical matters could have been fixed first.

What can be considered a huge negative towards the quality of the ports themselves is the apparent lack of anti-aliasing. Previous HD Collections, such as Metal Gear Solid HD, God of War HD, etc., all have rendering resolutions of 720p. Jak and Daxter HD also renders at 720p, but it lacks the sufficient amount of anti-aliasing that the other ports have that really give the makeovers that fresh, satisfying look that we expect from a big collection. In MGS HD and GoW HD, jagged lines are limited to almost none. On the flipside, Jak HD suffers from many jagged lines that are plainly noticeable. Someone over at Mass-Media (the people who ported the Jak games to the collection) forgot that anti-aliasing is something of importance to these remasters, and the difference really shows.

To be fair, however, the lack of anti-aliasing is certainly an issue but it's something that's not noticeable when you're in constant motion in the game. You'll notice the jaggies when you're standing still or when things are going slowly, but the "natural motion-blur" that comes with the framerate will usually blur up all the jaggies enough so that you won't see them when you move.

Also present is a few rendering issues that come with Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Jak 1 did not support 16:9 resolutions, it only supported 4:3. In the collection, the aspect ratio was changed and fixed, so now we have a full 16:9 ratio. However, some foliage and details in the background seem to "pop-in" when they're outside of the 4:3 border. This wouldn't be a problem if the borders were there, except now they're not, so the player can plainly see those extra few leaves on the tree and a few boulders and rocks just popping in every time you move the camera a little bit. It doesn't happen too often, and usually it's not really noticeable unless you're REALLY looking for it, but the issue is there. Thankfully, because Jak II and Jak 3 natively supported 16:9 resolutions, no additional work was really required, and that problem is eliminated.

Overall, a solid 4/5. The collection itself is great; sticking 3 of the best PS2 games onto one Blu-Ray disc and adding trophies and 3D for just $40 is an excellent deal. However, the HD port themselves just seems rather lazy; it seems like Mass-Media just stuck the games onto a PS3, forced it to render at 720p, added 3D and widescreen to Jak 1 and called it a day. It feels sort of rushed, and as you play you'll feel like the port could have been improved so much more with just a little bit more time focused into adding something as simple as anti-aliasing to games that don't even use up the PS3's power. I can't really see a reason why the collection didn't use anti-aliasing in the first place, and thus, the port just seems sloppy and lazy.

The Jak trilogy was games made by Naughty Dog during the early to mid part of the last decade. However this collection was not made by Naughty Dog but it was ported by a different company. Anyway if you have never played Jak then I would recomend to pick it up right now, cause these games are defiantly in my top 10 ever made. The genre that these were in is just about dead on this generation of consoles (except for super mario galaxy and very few others) thanks to all the first person shooters so this was a nice break to relieve my childhood and remember where everything was for the trophy s. Which speaking of trophys there is trophys for each of the 3 games and while the 1st is a mostly an easy platinum (except for finding every single orb in the game)the 2nd and 3rd games are very challenging to get all the trophy's for. The Graphics have been extremely improved expecilly the 2nd and 3rd games. The 1st has been improved a lot to but not quite as impressive but keep in mind that was one of the 1st good ps2 games. Anyway I'll have a short review for each of the games but if you have never played Jak and Daxter stop reading and buy it now.

Jak 2-10/10 Same as the first one this is one of my favorite games ever made and I know a lot of people like the 3rd better I actually preferred this one but this game is pretty much more platforming game and gran theft auto combined to make one epic game

Jak 3-8.5/10 this is a good end to the trilogy but I have only played this one a few times before and its they only jak game in this collection I haven't beat on ps2 which will change with this collection

When I got the box in the mail I thought, "Sweet, it's finally here." Upon opening the box though, I also became very disappointed. By not carefully examining the photo of this skin, I was under the impression that this was made of silicone and wrapped around the controller like many others. This one however is a decal that only covers the front/facial portions of the controller. To be fair, I will admit that the adhesive seems to bond pretty well to the controller and there is a small amount of room for error when applying it. I thought about returning it since I got two of them but realized that the cost of shipping back along with the shipping cost to me would be more than if I just kept them. So instead, I cut my losses and decided to write my first truly detailed review.

Pro's:

+Good looking graphics

+Decent adhesive

+Decent fit

Con's:

-Not silicone as I expected

-Feels like it will start to peel in a couple of months

-Had to trim off a little excess on the center piece

-It's basically clear vinyl coated paper

Unfortunately, the first review of this product was not up at the time of my purchase because I would not have bought this skin. Just keep in mind that if you want a silicone skin, BE SURE that the description states this so that you know you are getting the right thing.

When I opened this product, I was a bit disappointed at first. I guess I was expecting a full wrap-around rubber skin that would fit around the PS3 controller. What I got was a set of peel-n-stick stickers for the PS3 controller. I thought about returning the product, but decided to try out the skin anyways. I was surprised with the quality of the stickers, they seem to be made out of a durable vinyl-like material. They stuck on fine, and I am quite pleased with the overall fit and finish of the product. Really sets the controller off.

Definitely glad I did not return this product. For the price, it's hard to beat. If you see a skin you really like, I'd probably get the set that includes the PS3 skin along with 2 controller skins for a matching appearance.

I was kinda disappointed that this wasn't an actual silicon skin like it portrayed to be. Its a sticker that goes on the front. Its still pretty cool though.

I bought this stand for 4 Sony PS-3 remotes we have for 2 purposes: Organized storage of the remotes when not in use; And for charging the remotes without the use of cables. After living with the product for a month, I have to say it met all my expectations.

Pros:

1) The remotes plug solidly into the stand, without a lot of effort, and without a lot of wiggle.

2) The stand is sturdy, and does not tip easily.

3) Blue lights on the device look nice, and turn red when charging.

4) Overall, the styling of the device is attractive.

Cons:

1) None so far.

In summary, I would recommend and would buy this product again.

Looks kinda interesting/neat, charges four PS3 controllers, reasonably compact size, What's not to like?

How about blue LEDs that must be visible from orbit? While the controller is charging the LED is a nice tolerable red, but once it's fully charged the color changes to an absurdly bright blue. I really can't fathom who could actually think they're not only not annoying, but good looking.

But it does what it's made to do well, the only odd thing is that there isn't a cut out along the base of the unit for the cord to go through, so it won't sit flush on its surface unless you can bring the power cord up directly underneath it or you break out the Dremel tool. Not a big deal, but an oversight nonetheless.

This is an awesome charger, looks great and does it's job very well. The blue LED lights are a little bright, but hey at least you know when your controller is charged right?! All in all I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone.

This 4 controller PS3 charger is great. It seems to be sturdy and well made. It is a great stand to put your controllers on when you are not using them plus it charges quick. Also, it looks great next to the PS3. I just wish it plugged into the PS3 rather than an AC outlet.

Update 12/9/2011:

Still works great! Still charges and nothing has broke on it.

Want KONNET PS3 and Xbox 360, Xbox Elite, Xbox Slim Power Pyramid Charger Discount?

THE GOOD:

Charges up to 4 Controllers simultaneously, LED Indication for Charging Status Charging Red, Fully Charged Blue

Sleek black design goes well with your home entertainment center keeping it clutter-free., stores your controller while not in use.

THE BAD:

Somewhat pricey for what it is ;)

THE BOTTOM LINE:

While we wished it cost a bit less, the Konnet PS3 Power Pyramid is a solid gaming accessory that will last for years to come.

First off, this "add on" should be included with the actual Playseat itself.

I was VERY disappointed when I opened the box. The item description is pretty vague but says it's specifically for the G27 clutch system and compatible with ALL playseats.

I was shocked to uncap the cardboard tube the item was packaged in only to find a single piece of metal that had a couple of holes drilled in it with a 90 degree bend. No mounting hardware or instructions are included!

I'm not sure if I just received a defective item that was missing the mounting hardware or if they actually expect me to go out and buy my own. Either way, I wasn't going to waste another minute of my time with the joke of an item.

Immediately returned. Shame on you Playseat for having the nerve to sell just a black metal bar with nothing else. DEFINITELY NOT WORTH $40. Maybe worth $5 IF you aren't going to supply a couple of 10 cent bolts to mount it.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT!!

The Gearshift Support does not fit on the playseat properly and it comes with no instructions or screws to help you put it on.I bought this product for my daughter for xmas and we still can't get it to sit right.I am thinking about sending this whole expensive seat back to the dealer!!!!!!!!!

Buy Playseat Logitech G27 Gearshift Support Now

I just bought the Joey Logano playseat and really like it. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a provision to mount the G25 or G27 shifter. There are at least two shifter mounts Playseat offers. This one and another expensive option where the shifter mounts down by the seat. Personally, I like the shifter up high by the wheel so I can easily see and get to the buttons.

I'm using the wheel's clamps to mount the wheel to the playseat. I put a 1 x 4 x 17" piece of lumber between the playseat and the wheel's clamps with the board sticking out to the right you could also hang it out to the left. Then mount the shifter with it's three clamps and you're done. You can probably go to Home Depot or some lumber store and find a free piece of scrap that will work.

So don't waste your money on this expensive item.

Hi All,

Before buying this product I contacted Playseat support to get some clarity on a number of issues, is the product compatible with my playseat and how it should be mounted if it does not come with any screws, as mentioned by a number of reviewers. Playseat emailed back within 24hrs to confirm that the product did not come with any screws because screws were not necessary to mount this gearshift holder, they also sent me a number of pictures of a demo seat in their office with this holder attached. All you need to do is use the clamps of the G27 steering wheel to clamp the gearshift holder to the wheel table thus holding it in place. There are indeed 4 pre drilled holes, 2 to enable you to screw it to the wheel table of your playseat and a further 2 which are compatible with the screw holes in the bottom of then G27 shifter if you wish to screw it together, but you do not have to the clamps on the shifter and wheel will hold it all together.

After receiving this info and as I have the G27 Wheel and Shifter I decided to purchase this product to mount on my Playseat Challenge. It attached to my playseat just as Playseat support had advised but as mentioned by other reviewers it comes with no instructions, all you get is a single metal bar.

OVERALL this product does exactly what its designed to do BUT I am disappointed firstly at the price, secondly at the lack of instructions and finally at the fact its not included as standard (or some built in ability to mount a shifter) with the already expensive Playseat itself. Theres no doubt you could go do your local DIY store and purchase something (e.g. a piece of wood) which would do the same job for a fraction of the price.

I recently bought this as a second cable for our 47" Vizio LCD (VO47LFHDTV). My daughter has a PS2 she usually plays in her bedroom TV but we sometimes bring the PS2 into the living room for some fun on the bigger screen. This cable allowed us to avoid swapping cables behind the TV. This cable stays plugged into the Vizio so all we have to do is move the PS2 console. Boy, does this give off a sharp signal! Try playing LEGO-Star Wars saga or your favorite DVD through this connector.

ATTENTION: WHILE THE AD STATES THAT THIS IS A PLAYSTATION 3 COMPONENT + COMPOSITE A/V CABLE, IT DOES WORK WITH PLAYSTATION 2!!!

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

My PS2 used to be connected by the old composite cables that came with it to my 32" HDTV and the picture was horrible. The graphics of most PS2 games were dull and lack luster and the in-game text was blurry. In my personal experience it was so bad that playing old PS2 games gave me headaches. I bought this in hopes for any type of improvement and to my surprise I was astonished by how beautiful some PS2 games came out. The colors were more vibrant and the graphics were more crisp. Best of all the in-game text were absolutely clear! Now I'm able to play old games without worrying about getting headaches.

This cable works wonders and is able to bring out the PS2's full potential of displaying games in widescreen 480p and letting you enable Progressive Scan in some games.

The one feature I have not tried yet with this cable is connecting it to a PS3 since I do not currently own one.

The cable worked great with Guitar Hero World Tour. You have to remember to change the display settings in the game. Not all PS2 games can output different video formats and the built-in dvd player on the PS2 will only do 480i so just be aware of that.

basically I have a PS3 (capable of 1080p) and I have a rear projection TV that can only do 1080i....When using the HDMI cable and setting the PS3 to 1080i it would randomly glitch and cut out (this was with various brands of cables and have heard others that had same problem) bought this cable and running 1080i without problems

Want Playstation 3 Analog AV Multi Out to Component Cable Discount?

I needed to find a way to get my ps2 to play on my hdtv. It didn't have standard composite video so I had to try something else. I looked up component cables at the local games stores and they wanted + so I went with this online. It was cheap so I wasn't worried if it didn't work because I've heard the ports on the tv need to be pb/cb pr/cr. Supposedly ports that were just pb pr wouldn't work. Well on my Samsung T260HD they worked. The picture looks decent as well. So if anyone else needs some cables to play on their HDTV these work just fine and they are only and some change plus shipping.

I gave this three stars before I got the second shipment... now I might give it two because only one worked. This is a good sleeve when the materials are thick enough, but I, like the other reviewer had these rip on one side. However, the one that was thick through and through fit very snug over the controller (no problems). So, out of three... three bad, one good. I guess it's quite a gamble. It really is hard to find a good sleeve these days. I wonder what ever happened to the ones made by Sony...

I only have one word for this product: GARBAGE!!!!! I am telling you now do not buy this product from this company I purchased it and they both tore before I could even get them on the controllers. They absolutely suck. I thought I was being careful on the first one and it tore. So I was extremely careful with the second one and didnt even get it half way on before it tore also. So I would highly suggest buying from another company. Dont make my mistake.

My two kids (8 and 6) are in love with this game. It is a great two-player game.

The technology is great.

If you loved the Lego-type games but want something a "little more",

this might be it.

Fun co-op as well.

After seeing the displays in every store I went into, i finally decided to break down and buy this game, and boy am i glad i did. This game is super simple to play with really only two buttons used (triangle and square on the PS3) and no jumping makes this game really easy to play for the younger players and i think fans of the old school platform games will really enjoy this one as well.

The game comes with three characters (Gill Grunt, Spyro, and Trigger Happy) These three are a great trio to start with, (Trigger Happy is my favorite) however you will need to buy more characters to access certain parts of the game. I bought one of each elements so that i could go everywhere and do everything. This can get expensive, but it is well worth it for the quick changing that can be done via the portal of power. If you need a different Skylander, just remove the one that you are using and replace it with a different one.

The game play is simple with very little reading for the little ones that still have trouble reading, however the speech is audible and the kids can just listen.

All in all i would recommend this game to anyone who has little ones or is a fan of the platform games. The game offers a two player co-op mode so parents can play along. The game also offers a few mini games including battle mode, a football type game and grab the gems. These games are fun and a good way to test drive new characters.

One of the most amazing features is the fact that the figures are cross platform compatible. For instance, if i want to take my figures for PS3 over to a friends house who has an XBOX 360 or Wii, then its no problem all of the information is stored in the figure.

(Updated Review 28 October 2012)

Having owned the game now for about a year I have the following comments about the game now.

1) I now have 20 different Skylanders. I am one of those guys who has to get all of them. However, some of them are just no good. Wrecking Ball so far i have used the least with others i personally don't care for are Sonic Boom, Warnado, and Lighting Rod.

2) The game looses some of its play value over time. It gets to the point after you have beaten the game you find yourself replaying the levels trying to earn money and level up the Skylanders you don't use as much (The Quick Silver Vault is the best level for this you can usually gain at least two levels and earn about 1500 "dollars" in the level.)

3) I found my "dream team" when it comes to skylanders. They are as follows: Trigger Happy (This guy just throws lead everywhere), Zook (He gets super powerful by level 10), Gilgrunt (He shoots harpoons three at a time), Ghost Roaster (When he turns into a giant flaming skull he can't be stopped), Drobot and Double Trouble.

4) Finding the remaining Skylanders i need to complete the collection is the hardest thing EVER! And no way am i buying them on the secondary market. No skylander is worth 45 dollars.

Skylanders is still a really fun game. I can't wait to play Skylanders Giants.

Buy Skylander's Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack Now

After reading the solitary '1 star' review above, I had to jump in and write my own review.

I bought Skylanders and sure, the initial $70 was a bit much but it was for my kid, although as my wife says 'yeah, right'. Anyway! He has so much fun with this game! He takes Spyro around everywhere with him and has Trigger Happy proudly positioned on top of my Monitor (which looks weird) and Gill Grunt is guarding the bathroom. Kids eh? But, whenever he fires the game up, there's a blur and the toys are gone.

When he plays, he collects everything and just has a lot of fun playing it. He loves when Spyro does the charge attack but when he saw Trigger Happy's mini-gun attack, I'm sure his eyes almost burst out of his head.

Anyway, if you have kids (or you want to buy it 'for your kid') then this game is a must! Its fun. In fact, i'm going to say it's GREAT fun and, after all, isn't that the important thing?

Oh, you don't need to buy any other toy to play the game but I just ordered Prism Break and Chop-Chop because, well, they look so cool! Oh, yeah, and my kid likes them too. Sigh, I wonder where Chop-Chop will end up 'guarding'.

Read Best Reviews of Skylander's Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack Here

If you're reading this you're probably already familiar with this games gimmick, but I'll explain it anyway. It comes with a "Portal of power" and three figurines that you put on the portal, and in turn, they are "transported" into the game. There are, from what I understand,30 some toys in all, which can be bought separately, or there are some three character packs available, as well as some "Adventure packs" which Include one new character, a new level, and a couple of items that can be placed on the portal to help you, such as a potion, or defensive swords that circle you. A full collection of all the toys, and the game itself, will probably run you upwards of 300 dollars. Is it worth it? That all depends on whether you like the game or not, and your fiscal state. If you are a parent you should be warned that your children will not be satisfied with the three toys that come with the game, as there are eight character elements, and you need at least one character of each element to unlock all the areas in the game. That aside they will probably want as many toys as they can get their hands on, so if you just plan on getting them a starter pack and nothing more they will probably be sorely disappointed and frustrated. It IS alot of money for a game, but really, the toys are half the fun. I admit it is a gimmick, but it is a very clever gimmick and one that appeals to me.

The story in the game is pretty basic stuff, probably geared towards between 6-10.You're the chosen portal master, and it's up to you to save Skylands, or something like that. The voice acting is well done, even if what is being said is somewhat corny at times. However there is a good amount of humor in the game, and like a good family film, there are some "risque" jokes that are cleverly worded in such a way will fly over the heads, not corrupting their innocent young minds, while at the same time getting a laugh from the adults.

The game itself is admittedly fairly simplistic, walk around shooting/attacking enemies, collecting keys, and solving some basic puzzles. It's simplicity is overcome by the quality with which it is made. Controls are excellent and it is very easy and intuitive to aim your weapons. You earn cash in the game which you can then in turn use to purchase new abilities for your character, and at a certain point you can choose one of two paths, determining which ability you want to master,as well as a basic leveling up system, so there is a small, albeit well implemented RPG element to the game. Each level has a different Hat to collect, which can be worn by any skylander, aside from altering their appearance, each hat increased a particular stat in some way. If at any time you regret your decision, or if you just want to start over for the heck of it, you can reset a character at any given time.(Don't worry though, it will never happen by accident.)Despite it's ease and simple nature, it is alot of fun to play, especially in a time where the hardcore game is kind, and games seemed to be designed to test ones sanity.A welcome change of pace for those looking for something new. Each character actually feels very unique, I have about 14 of them and they all have a unique feel to them. Some of them are more suited to certain areas than others, so when that happens just switch out a toy. There are no button presses required and you pick up exactly where you left off with your last guy, in a matter of 2-3 seconds.i haven't tried the co-op mode but I imagine kids would have a blast with it.Your skylanders stats(abilities, level, hat) is saved instantly to the toy itself, so if you have a pal with the game, you can take your skylander over to his place.

The graphics, while they certainly wont be winning any awards, get the job done. They have a pleasant quality to them, my only complaint is that there is some slight screen tearing. Music, while not overly catchy,it isn't bad either, and never becomes annoying.

The toys are half the fun though, and for collection minded individuals, look no further. They are well made and sturdy with a good amount of details, and are of a rather original design and style.

Skylanders is a great game for children of the right age bracket, or for those who just want something new and refreshing. It makes no qualms about what it is meant to be, nor should it.Yes it will cost a fair bit of change if your kid(or you) goes gung ho over it, but there is something to be said for owning a physical product for your investment rather than the same old soulless DLC.

Want Skylander's Spyro's Adventure Starter Pack Discount?

First of all, I was very much excited about this game...especially buying the characters. They are only expensive if you try to order them. ($8 at walmart) Upon beginning the game, the intro movie bothered me a bit...even using the words "and now we have come to your planet so you can buy us."

Upon playing the game once, I decided I wanted the "hex" character. I tried not to play it until I had it...and yet the stores were ALWAYS out..(as everyone else has said.) I looked for it every day for about two weeks, and eventually had to settle for a "sonic boom," because it was the first one I found. I sat down for another good playing session, and a couple hours later, the game ended. I literally played this game twice, and it was over.

THE GOOD: Very innovative. The portal is awesome, and I experienced no glitches with it...(like I thought I would.) I love the divisions of characters, and how they are different "types" like Pokemon. Also like that its a 2-player story type game.(never played one of those.)

THE BAD: Never got to use all the different characters(which is the games best aspect) due to not being able to find them, and the game being SO short. Also...EASY EASY EASY. You basically walk down a path, beat some monsters, get a key, open a door, and repeat. Also, its pricey, but you spend what you want. Very childish in its dialogue as well...(If Flynn had mentioned ladies, or if Kaos had used the word "evil" one more time, I would have lost my mind.)

THE END RESULT: I give this game three stars for its innovativeness and for its awesome characters. It loses two stars for the shortness of it, the price for what you get, and the fact that the storyline and different worlds within it are just "okay." (especially compared to the previous spyro games.

SHOULD YOU BUY THIS? If it is for a child 12 and under, YES. They will love it, and perhaps it will take them longer to beat it. If not, perhaps you should just wait a while for the cost to come down and for more characters to come out.

I got tge dust cover for my PS3 slim, and it fits perfectly over the console.

Its made of thick material...kinda like a canvas material and covers the system completely to keep the dust etc. out of the system while not being used.

****NOTE****

The manufacturer DOES NOT sell the dust covers for a PS3 slim on Amazon.

I ordered mine through Amazon, but I emailed the manufacturer stating that I had a PS3 slim & not an Xbox360.They replied back stating that the dust covers they listed on Amazon.com are for the older "fatter" PS3's,but they do sell covers for the newer slims, and that theyd just go ahead and pull a slim cove from their stock & send it.

I did go to their actual online store, and sure enough, the PS3 slim covers were same priced as the PS3 Fat cover. They have covers for all sorts of systems & electronics.

I just want to be sure anyone else that orders a PS3 dust cover knows that the ones listed on Amazon are not for the Slim model....

If your looking for a perfect custom fit dust cover for your gaming console, then this is not the one you want however, dust covers in general are only suppose to fit around the device and that is exactly what this does. It is free standing and drops over your gaming console, and this is exactly the way I prefer, rather than a tight fit that can ruin the cover or scratch the finish of your device, (XBOX/PS3). I received the product on time and delivered by the post office USPS. It does the job because my house harbors dust and I don't want that in my XBOX. Although I dust every other day, this cover gives me peace of mind because we all know that when dust settles on electronics, the devices will run hotter and eventually overheat and malfunction. The seller is actually located in Colorado, and they make these covers for every device i.e. copiers, printers, gaming consoles. I am very happy with this 20 dollar investment that will protect my 300 dollar console! I gave it 5 stars as a dust cover not a game as it was asking me to rate.
