Package came a day before estimated delivery which was nice and nothing was wrong with the way it was shipped. A NOX product of course it is amazing. Doesn't degrade the sound quality or microphone quality. Enough cord to sit across the room even. Runs perfectly have had no problems setting up or using. If you have the Gaming Specialist headset and not this (if you use a ps3 or XBOX360 ) You should definitely look into getting this for your gaming. As the product says it does work for other headsets! Great product! It's also a plus that it works for other gaming headsets so you don't have to buy a new one that will just work with this.

The adapter is very simple to use and I have had no issues with the sound quality. It had a humm/buzz at first but restarting the console fixed the problem, and I haven't heard it since.

It has an optical audio cord which is nice and it even has a balancer to adjust the volume between audio and chat.

This is probably the best cheap option to set up a headset to the Xbox or PS3.

The only con is that the adapter is not compatible with USB headsets.

Also, if you want to use this with an HDMI cord you have to split the Xbox 360 original a/v cord housing in half to make room, there are tutorials on youtube on how to do this it's actually very simple. This is an Xbox fault, not a fault of this product.

Overall I was very satisfied with how the adapter performed.

I bought a plantronics gaming head set from amazon and figured i buy this thing so i could use it on my xbox. I could not have been anymore wrong, this does NOT BRING ANYTHING TO ATTACH A USB HEAD SET WITH!!!

And not only that honestly there is nothing u can buy that would make a plantronic hs work with this it is not universal at all!. For all that money it cost to even buy you would think it had an adapter for usb head sets but noooo.

For the money your better off just buying an x12 hs for xbox and a cheap mm to usb adapter which actually exists! Than this 40 buck useless adapter

in response to comments made on my review after i wrote mine letting everyone know this adapter does not work with usb headsets. some individuals say its my fault for not reading the product description correctly, even though no where on the manual of this adapter and even on the website does it say specifically that it does not work with usb headsets, on the contrary they stress universal and that it works on all headsets. in fact this is the headline if you go to nox's website

i bought this adapter and even in the manual it says "connect usb headset to standard pc adapter" which again does not exist, the positve reviews on this adapter are suspect,whats even more funny is that being that i have the only negative review, all of a sudden people are coming out of nowhere trying to attack and flame it, why didnt they positively review in the first place and let everyone know that its not for usb headsets? they sound more like a company trying to protect a product that is falsely advertised, please check the review histories of people who positively rate this adapter and you can discern for yourself whether or not they are suspect.

just so you know this adapter is useless, it works on really old pc headsets that are obsolete, type in amazon Stereo pc headset the only ones worth buying will all be usb! and of course the one that i bought Plantronics will pop up as "standard pc headset" which this adapter does not work for even though it says it does.

be wary of reviewers that say this adapter works on all headsets just look at the first person to review this adapter even that person believed this works with all headsets, i would bet they are company generated, so far 3 reviewers are attacking this review trying to diminish its impact on your decision, this adapter isnt worth the 15 dollars it is now since my review it went from 40 dollars to 15 (because its worthless) it went from 1 review to 3 and my review is getting all the attention because it is a negative one,

"please look up reputation management" i have written many negative reviews on amazon and never received allot of attention on them and better yet i never saw profiles that i suspected to be fake or used by someone for damage control or to sway a negative review to the benefit of the product, that ALL CHANGED ONCE I REVIEWED THIS. which is why im am done responding to comments on this review.

i still stand by my review and it will stay as a warning to let other's know that this adapter is a huge waste of money
