I bought this item from Best Buy thinking it would be an OK 4 controller charger. 2 of the connecting ports quit working after 2 weeks and would not charge the controllers. I got mine thinking it would last for a while as anyone would. I would suggest looking for a different charger and save yourself the hassle.

2 stars because it only charges some of the time.

After docking a controller the red light on the charger will light up and the 4 lights on the controller blink. When fully charged the controller lights will stop blinking but well over half the time the controllers show that they are low on battery life and die shortly after use. I know this is not a problem with the controllers themselves as they always accept a full charge when hooked up through USB cable.

as for aesthetics, I do like the setup. It nicely arranges 4 controllers and takes up little room since it's not that big.

Comparatively, the Rocketfish Quad Charge Station has a very small footprint on my entertainment stand. Since the device uses an AC wall adapter, your USB ports remain free. Charges all 4 of my controllers at the same time. I have not experienced some of the "fragile" and "easily broken" complaints that other reviewers have expressed. The only improvement I could recommend would be for the manufacturer to design the station in a manner to avoid potential scratches and gouges that may result from trying to line up the charging port on the controller with the device. Thankfully, I have not had this issue yet, either!

the light is on, it appears to be working, but the controllers don't get any juice. I guess I should have guessed with Rocketfish.
