The ESA Game Pack is a great package value for the buck.

PROs:

As it is clearly seen, the package comes with:

-An outstanding adventure, "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune"

---I highly suggest checking "Uncharted 2: Honor Among Thieves"

-An epic adventure with the world famous Lara Croft, "Tomb Raider: Underworld"

FLAW:

-A decent sandbox game ruined by EA and their take on network play, "Mercenaries 2: World in Flames"

Mercenaries 2, since its release in 2008, has a bug that freezes the whole PS3 system. This bug is related to having to accept the online terms before gaining access to online play. The problem is that this option is built all the way under the option menu interface. --They never made it so the system would automatically show you the "terms and whatnot" screen, where you would either accept or reject the online terms-If you try to play online or start the game while being signed into the PSN, the game will try to connect to the EA servers, but you will leave you in a loop (as it is expecting for you to accept the online terms) but since you can't either accept or reject them, the system freezes. At this point, all you can do is completely shutdown the system.

The only way you can play Mercenaries 2 is offline.

So for a game that promises offline and online play (where some trophies are depending of online play) this is a big let down. specially since they never got around to patching this issue, 2008-2011.

Final thoughts.

Uncharted: DF and Tomb Raider: Underworld alone are worth the tag price, thus leaving Mercenaries 2 as one of those "here you go" gifts. Kind of like that calculator your grandma got from buying those leg warmers.

This collection of 3 great games comes in at an even better price! While the games (Tomb Raider: Underworld, Mercenaries 2, and Uncharted 1) each cost about 20$ a pop now, you can snag all three of them here for 30 bucks. Great deal. The games are awesome and showcase the cool stuff the PS3 has to offer. I won't review each of the games, but you can check out their review pages for more information. This box would make a great gift for the gamer who just got a PS3 (as I did), or for a person who doesn't have these games already.

In addition, the charity that is supported by the proceeds of the sale of these games does good work with kids and youthso you get great games while contributing to a great cause as welland who said gamers were a self-absorbed breed?

They come packaged in PS3 blu-ray boxes with instruction manuals, just as if you were to purchase them separately. The sleeve is cheap cardboard that can be discarded if you want. Be warnedfor those of you who resell games or trade them inthese are labeled as "not for resale" and the UPC code is missingso you will most likely not be able to trade them in at a used game store or back to amazon.com. Minor quibble, but nothing major in my opinion.

The price is a steal as these titles usually sell for 20-30 dollars alone. I picked up mine for 30 so it was only 10 dollars a game. I'm a Tombraider fun and I found this offer a great value as I got two other very good games for a great price.

Tombraider Underworld (overall 4/5)

I played Tombraider Undeworld till its end in the Playstation 2 and it was a great surprise to see the same game improved in the PS3 platform. The sonar maps are very helpfull and graphics are amazing 5/5 !!. I've also found new developments in many levels with different options, weapons and enemies.

Unchartered (4/5)

I've never played this game and it is awesome. If you are a Tombraider saga fun you will love this game.

Graphics are stunning and story is quite entertaining and very weel developed. Difficulty is hard enough to keep you busy and engaged but not too much to get frustrated redoing missions.

Mercenaries 2 (4/5)

To be honest I have no clue about how this game was before buying it and I just got it to take advantage of the offer. At the end it resulted in a very good desition as action and enternainment are perfect. Do not expect a deep storyline, game was developed just for your fun on blowing up things

Bought these games to try some games from a different genre than I'm used to playing. (RPG's, mainly.) Loved the control schemes and layouts of each of them.

Have since purchased the other games from each of these franchises and would DEFINITELY buy other sets like this, if I could find them.

Well worth the money.
