At first I thought this did not work for the older models (Playstation/PSX) but it definitely works great for the PS2. The PSX still uses the old coaxial hookup that connects to your cable TV line. However, on closer inspection I discovered that this cable was not the problem... my PSX console's AV output plug is loose. I jiggled it and got it to work fine with this connector. (It's old and I've moved about nine times since I bought the PSX so it's not quite perfect anymore.) So it is confirmed: it DOES work for PSX and PS2.

Also, the cables are pretty good quality. Nice and thick. The RCA connectors are a little thicker than usual though so for some applications you might need to get a little bit creative or use a little extra force to get it to plug in snugly. I have seen better cables, but they are selling for two or three times the price of this unit, so it's a great value.

These component cables are just what I wanted. They're well made and do what they're supposed to: allow me to play PS2 on my old TV. Would definitely purchase again for any other electronic cable needs I may have.
