Deus Ex Human Revolution is a fantastic game! I have played about one-third of this game on medium and I still can't put my controller down. There is lots of exploration and taking down enemies while sneaking up on them is a lot of fun. Missions are not repetitive. The graphics are not as spectacular as in the trailers but its attention to detail is quite impressive.
Needless to say, this game emphasizes stealth over frontal assaults. You'll die quickly if you rely on gunfights. The enemy AI is quite intelligent and sneaking up on them is not easy. You'll have to save and reload a lot. For a real challenge try finishing a mission without alarming anyone! You'll get lots of extra points for that.
The boss fights are somewhat inconsistent with the rest of the game's pacing. Stealth is not much use against bosses. You have to rely mostly on firepower.
The art book provided with the Augmented Edition was a disappointment. I was expecting it to be much bigger. If you just want to play the game then don't buy the Augmented Edition.
On the surface the game's plot may seem short but if you explore a lot, rely only on stealth and play all the side missions then the game's length is very satisfying.

This game is beautiful. Granted not perfect, but it would be unrealistic to expect much more from a game of this magnitude. The technical constraints, I can only imagine, were numerous. The story is fantastic, extremely engaging, and to anyone with at least a grade 5 level of intelligence, enormously relevant in today's society. The gameplay is tight despite occasional AI glitches and thoroughly immersive. The sheer amount of options at your disposal when customizing your character is astounding. I found myself taking forever to choose where I would use my praxis points, as almost every decision you make in Human Revolution has a direct impact in your experience in other words, it's fantastic. Rarely have I found myself so drawn into a world, a game, the way I have with Human Revolution. If you're a fan of engaging stories, intense action and Rpgs in general, then do yourself a favor and buy this game.Buy Deus Ex Human Revolution - Augmented Edition Now
As title. Bought it when it has deal at $40! Yes $40 for this augmented edition! So, what can I complain!!Game: The game itself is very fun and addictive! I just finished the game yesterday. There are multiple endings and alternative actions you can choose from. The boss fight various...it can range from extremely hard to ridiciously easy. For instance, I carry the grenade launcher and plasma laser rifle all the time. I killed boss with grenade launcher with 2-3 hits; I aimed the final boss with plasma laser rifle at the beginning of the battle ...and she got killed like in 10 secs. lol. Nevertheless, I spent around 71 hrs to finish all side quests, got most hidden achievement (I played on steam too), and finish the game.
Package: Nicely package. I dont need to repeat what this edition comes with. I can confirm that it definitely worth your money on this collector's edition! Even though I have finished this game on STEAM, I still bought this edition as my own collection.

First thing you need to know is that this is primarily an RPG with first person shooting mechanics for combat. It has less of an emphasis on combat than say... Mass Effect 2, but don't think the shooting is clunky, it's not, but more on that later. This is one of the greatest RPGs ever created, and one of the best games ever created. It's absolutely amazing. If you loved the original Deus Ex, than you'll be pleased to know that this game surpasses it in every aspect imaginable. This game is the true successor to Deus Ex, and will satisfy Deus Ex fans and RPG fans alike.
The story and gameplay are both top notch. You'll talk to tons of people, carry out sidequests, and make decisions that have real impacts. There's a level progression system in place, and it works wonderfully. You earn xp points and then earn nexus points to spend on various augments that can augment various attributes on your character such as stealth, hacking, strength, radar, weapons handling, armor, and more. It's unbelievable how satisfying it is to build up your character and become more powerful, and how you want to play is entirely up to you.
The story is incredible and you get to make choices that reflect your own personality. You are Adam, and this is how role playing should be done. With you taking on the role of your character. All of the characters are very well developed and you establish real bonds with them. You care about them, they aren't just some faceless talking heads that spout meaningless nonsense (*cough* Rage).
As I mentioned before, combat is real time first person shooting. Unlike the first Deus Ex game, shooting in this game is PERFECT. All of the weapons feel great, and the gunplay is fantastic. Shooting enemies is satisfying, and rewarding. You have the option of going into battle guns blazing if you choose, or you can play stealthy, it's entirely up to you. However unless you augment your character appropriately, you'll die very quickly as just a few bullets will kill you. The game has an excellent cover system which switches from first person to third person seamlessly. This cover mechanic is also essential to stealth and sneaking around. You can even beat the entire game without killing a single person aside from bosses (you can receive an achievement for that).
I could gush more about the game, but I should point out a few nitpicks. There's only two cities to explore and you visit each twice. There's other areas to visit (these are combat areas essentially where you fight or sneak around), but in terms of fleshed out cities to explore, only two. That's not as big of a deal though because they are VERY well done and visiting them again still feels new because new events will have transpired. The graphics are serviceable. They aren't the greatest visuals on the planet, but they get the job done and the PS3 version doesn't look like it got shafted in any way and that's what matters the most.
There's too much to say about this game. Bottom line, stop what you're doing and get this game. You won't regret it.execllent graphics, aditional book and comic are great, im disappointed about the final episodes, i trying to finish and unblock all the thingds in the game..
