I actually happened to find this in a store before i could order it online. so i bought it there. so no comment on the seller here. however the system is sweet. 1080p looks great, sounds great pretty damn loud actually! not much storage space for extra stuff inside the case. (all the necessary cables for HDMI hookup, power supply and 360 power supply) the screen doesnt actually touch anything when closed so not to many worries there. quite strudy and lockable case. i love this thing! i bought it for a portable gaming system when i deploy to afghanistan soon. and it fits into one of those "Gorrilla Case" tough boxes which is nice also. and its good for 110 and 220v. good for people like me in Europe. the price is a little steep but i think it was worth it.

I have owned this for roughly 2 weeks now and I love it! The matte screen is very sharp, bright, and smooth, with it being easily visible since it has a 170 viewing angle. This lets you and four friends (or more) view it without any issues at all. The screen has a load of settings you can use from adjusting the color, the brightness, and more. Having it as a matte screen means that there is *barely* any reflection even when the screen is off, so if you play outside or where there is bright light, it won't bounce back with some kind of annoying glare and distract you like some home TV's would. Also in case you or someone changes your settings in a weird way, you can reset it to the base default. The blue light on the sides of the monitor is cool to see but low enough (especially with the brightness of the monitor) that you will quickly forget it is there. The speakers are just incredibly clear, with no distortion and can go VERY loud. In a room with noisy people, I could turn it up to just 32 (out of a 100) and hear the game clearly and perfectly. In fact, that's what I did at a very recent game night with a bunch of friends and other people while they played Super Smash Brawl or Mario Kart (people were yelling things too as they played). So only crank it up to 100 if you are trying to drown out one of Metallica's concert next door. Lol! The HD screen also includes TWO headphone ports so you and a friend can listen in private should you want to play a game like Black Ops in silence or just enjoy a nice movie.

Now moving on down from the screen, the hinge looks very solid and I doubt it will ever break unless you are abusive to it. The top also has a kickstand at the base of it, for when you're viewing it so you can have the screen leaning back or aimed solidly straight over the xbox/ps3, and the view will NOT be obscured. The top fits down with the bottom perfectly but be careful as the little mesh baggies that it comes with can sometimes stick out and you'll end up with them sticking out, possibly getting damaged that way. Properly take care of the mesh bags and I think you'll get years out of them. The bags have little round things that slide down the string to lock the opening tight and hold your power supply and other stuff in it perfectly. There are 2 thick velcro straps to lock down your xbox (whether it be the thick original or the slimmer S version) or even your PS3 (any make of it) onto a supplied thick pad.

The overall weight is about expected for something made of tough, but semi-flexible body along with a 19 inch fast, HD monitor. Even with the weight of a Xbox and all accessories inside it, I didn't find it hard to carry from the hand or with the provided padded, shoulder strap. On the outside, there is a big G (company logo) on it but that's replaceable from the website with a number of other things like Gears of War, Mass Effect, or even Halo stuff. The whole case can get a skin to decorate it in of the mentioned game stuff as well. I forgot, I got white little stickers (since I got the non-halo Vanguard version) that you can stick all over it in any way you like.

Performance-wise? I love it! I won't even take my Xbox out of the case sometimes to hook it back up to my other HD TV or even when I take it over to a friend's house because I think it both looks and sounds better than even a Vizio 32 inch! Probably because the speakers are made for gamers whereas the standard HD TV is setup for TV shows. Not only that, but the screen, even though it is a 19 inch matte screen deal still feels bigger that it is because I can sit elbows-to-case close to it without my straining my eyes after a 5-6 hours of game play. One of my friends even said the screen on it looked even better than his 42 inch TV.

The only downside to the WHOLE thing? You can't really stuff more than one controller inside it and there are no places to stick your games inside it. So you'll need to carry extra controllers and games in a separate bag or something. Not really a big deal since it was designed for the *console*, not the games. :) Maybe future versions will have a CD slip case inside it or something.

So? What are you waiting for? Get this thing and start playing on the best personal gaming experience you'll have! If not for you, then at least for someone who's an avid gamer! Trust me, they'll love it and you for it!

I wanted this for the ability to fill time while on vacation. It works great and does exactly that. The screen is large and very clear. The sound is good as well. The case does its job of protecting it's contents and giving you the ability to transport your beloved gaming system with you on trips. The case does feel slightly flimsy when opening/closing it...probably because it's a plastic case. Another thing that you might not take into consideration is this thing gets a bit heavy once you load it up with your system including the power supply and controllers. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the unit. Just keep in mind that if this isn't your primary screen, then you have a $350 doorstop sitting around the majority of the time....but, if you're without a TV or on deployment, then this is a great setup. It's footprint is about the size of a small suitcase and can be tucked out of the way when not in use. The setup was a slight pain, which involved plugging in the HDMI cable and power cord (which may limit how far you can sit from the outlet). I also suggest the cord splitter that is probably on the bottom of the product page. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it and look forward to taking it with me on future trips. (Side note...The TSA requires that you completely remove your game system from the GAEMS Vanguard.)

This pretty great. The one thing that I am working on is trying to reduce the setup time of the product. I would want to open the system up, move the pouches to the side, and be able to hook things up without taking everything out every time. I hope to put the 360 brick to the left, because it heats up, and carry a power strip with a long cord. One thing that would be nice, is if there was a way for them to engineer a spot for the screen power supply, and on the back put a power outlet for the console power, and a power inlet for both the screen and console. However, I'm not sure if there is a practical way for the inlet (which would need to be close to a standard computer power cable) to be implemented. Some sort of power splitter with a suggested setup would be nice though.

This setup is perfect for a quick portable fix. The screen is very clear and easy to view from multiple angles. It is crisp and high def 1080p adjustable to 720p if you're into it. The speakers are amazing they have adjustable bass and treble with a built in equalizer for the audiophiles. They are louder than my two Vizio TVs and even sound better. Mine came with a remote that has brightness built in (up and down like volume) so you don't have to enter the menu and can adjust on the fly perfect for pro gamers. Two headphone jacks. The case can be locked with a combo or key lock (like a suitcase) It is very lightweight and sets up in a few minutes.

The negatives: It's not as sturdy as I had hoped. The screen has blue lights that come on around it...options for red maybe, or nothing at all? The screen is naked inside when you close the case leaving it susceptible to scratches (possibly) if you don't put your stuff away carefully. HDMI only. Obviously the price more than the gaming system itself.

This game is certainly not meant for young children as the puzzle difficulty is very high, even when set to easy. It's fine for children to watch though just like the show, this game is family-friendly.

Overall, a great game, I just wish that it were a proper 3D game and not side-scrolling. There are a few moments here and there where the logic of the side-scrolling game conflicts with the 3D environment that is displayed. Other than that though, no complaints. The graphics are quite good, not the best out there but still very good, and the story line and gameplay are enjoyable, immersing, and intellectually challenging, just like Doctor Who should be. My personal favorite puzzle is 'sonicing' doors to open them, you feel like the Doctor doing it.

The shipping was extremely fast considering I live on the west coast of the United States and this game was coming from the UK. It came within 12 business days, when the shipping was predicted to take between 15 and 18 days.

This game got mixed reviews on some sights. But we really liked it. My daughter is a HUGE Doctor Who fan. She loved the game because she knows every character in it. I have never seen Dr. Who but I thought it was a very fun game when I played with her. I loved that it was a 2 player game and that you have to work together to solve the puzzles and move up levels. We felt it was challenging even on the "easy" level. We loved that it had puzzles to solve and that it was not just a "running and shooting things game" . I would definitely recommend this game. Shipping from this company was great. I was worried that I would not get it in time for Christmas since it was coming to the US from the UK but it arrived super fast :-)

My wife and I love everything The Doctor. This two player game, while frustrating at times, is a blast. The puzzles are a bit tricky, but the graphics, actor voice overs and plot really make this a fun adventure. Probably about half way done with this game, when is the next one due out? No compatibility problems with my NTSC PS3 for the U.S.

I remember Grand Theft Auto when Liberty City was Brocklyn, Kings, the Brix, Manhattan Island, and Staten Island. I remember when they changed Liberty City to Portland Island, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vales for Grand Theft Auto III. The graphics were better. Now they've changed Liberty City to Broker, Dukes, Bohan, and Algonquin Island. The graphics are photo realistic. They shouldn't have changed Liberty City in the first place. Besides that it's good. I took a white getting used to the cover system after being used to the smart aim. The driving's unrealistically bad. And the police officers last unrealistcally longer than they did in previous games. Niko Bellic has nothing on CJ or Tommy Vercetti!

One day, I was thinking to myself...

What would it be like to put other characters in a super smash brothers style fighter. Here, I got my answer. Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL is a very good take on the subject. With characters from my childhood, leading to the shows i like today, just playing the game with friends is just amazing.

THE GAME ITSELF:

The game plays alot like Super Smash Bros. Brawl but with different gimmick's such as;

+The Damage gimmick is still in this game, but if a player hits more then 300% damage in story mode, they will automatically die without warning.

+The final smash (re-named Punch Time Explosion in this game) can be used at anytime, as long as the player has enough energy cubes to do it. but, the PTE button takes up a certain button, whereas smash bros brawl uses its neutral B/1 (special attack) to use a final smash. to sum it all up, the final smash system is pretty good, but the fact that it uses one button and that one button isn't used at all but that one thing is pretty useless to me.

PROS:

+ This game features an "unlock shop", were the player can buy extra character's (only character's that were featured in the 3DS version as assist are available to purchase) more costumes for your favorite character, more stages to fight on, and even hilarious memorable clips from my favorite CN shows!

+ The game takes alot of arena's from different CN shows, to be exact, each CN show in the game gets 2 to 3 arena's to play on.

+ The RowdyRuff Boy's are playable

+ Very catchy theme song.

CONS:

The game is Ed, Edd, and Eddy less... (I have read that Cartoon Network sold the rights of the Edd's to a different company after "big picture show").

The Assist character's harm the summoner as well (only General Scar and Madam Foster are the only known assist characters that don't hard the summoner).

The UI in game could be re-sized to the point were I don't have to squint my eyes to see my damage percent.

A chunk of the character roster needs to be unlocked by completing story mode (you only start with 9 characters).

Some CPU players walk on air at times.

synergy attacks is a 1 in 28 chance to land on the right character (to preform a synergy attack, the player has to collect a summon cube. However, the character that comes out has to be the one that matches your character in some way. (ex: Fred Fred Burger and Ben, Gwen and Blossom, Edwardo and Bubbles, and Numbah 2 and Scotsman)).

STORY MODE:

The story mode could use some work. I was expecting character voice overs, not blossom yelling "I'm blossom!" with subtitles stating something completely different. Pretty much the only character that actually speaks outside of subtitles is the narrator, and he's no fun to listen to on some occasions. Sometimes you run into stuff that can be easily avoided, but you HAVE to do so to continue on.

PROS:

+4 player story mode co-op, were as Super Smash Bros. Brawl only has 2.

+Very funny dialogue.

+bubbles always makes the game more fun to play, because she mistakenly makes fun of almost everyone she comes across.

CONS:

-platforming is not a challenge here

-the Dexter's FPS challenge works terrible with the Wiimote+Numchuck/Wiimote alone controllers.

-Mini games within the level can get repetitive.

-the story mode is too short in my opinion, Even on hard, i managed to make it though the entire game without getting a game over once.

REPLAY VALUE:

6/10

Gets Boring alone after awhile, only appeals to fellow CN fan's.

OVERALL SCORE: 4/5

I love how Cartoon Network gave me my childhood back with a mix of my favor ate fighting game, if your looking for a inexpensive Wii Fighter, this is the game to buy for the holiday's!

This game is pretty much a straight clone of super smash bros. for those that arent familiar with smash bros. it is essentially a 2 d fighting game with the roster consisting of nintendo characters and arenas inspired by nintendo games. Now take that concept and replace nintendo with cartoon network and you have this game and thats not a bad thing, for me anyway. I have enjoyed smash bros and i think its very entertaining, i just prefer to play as samurai jack or johhny bravo instead of link or wario. Just my preference thats all. Now for this game itself, its surprisingly well done. You can tell the people working on the game definately had an appreciation of the source material. A generous roster of Characters that all have unique moves that suit them, tons of assist characters and a good amount of modes and unlockables keep this entertaining. My only real gripe with this game is the overall lack of polish. I own the 360 version and the graphics arent great wich is sad because the menus and some of the animation during certain story segments look crisp and vibrant in hd, then you start playing the game and i guess considering these are all cartoon characters i was hoping more for an interactive cartoon but instead its kind of bland. The sound could have been more punchy. It sometimes doesent feel like your hits connect because the sound is kind of weak. Lastly, more characters please. This isnt really a complaint because like i said before, the roster is pretty generous. 26 total playable characters and some of the them have costume variants that give the illusion of more characters such as the powerpuff girls can be replaced as the rowdy ruff boys. Its just bound to happen in this fan service type of game where you end up thinking, i wish this character or that character was in here. So to sum this review up, this is an enjoyable game. If you like smash bros and cartoon network you will like this. Fingers crossed for a sequel with more everything, mostly polish.

I used to have so much trouble deciding what to get for the men and boys in my life for the holidays. I've now learned that you can't go wrong with a video game. My nephew is obsessed with the Wii and I cannot believe how good he is at it! He is constantly correcting me while we play, which is good because I get really frustrated when I get stuck. We had a lot of fun playing Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL for Wii.

There are 26 playable characters and 26 battle arenas. My favorite thing about this game is that once you beat a character, you can then play as them. Up to four people can play at a time and there is also a pretty cool story mode. Punch Time Explosion XL is rated Everyone 10+ by the ESRB. This is a really fun game for both kids and adults. Beware though, if you are anything like me, you are going to need a little help from the kids. I really like that though because adults are always teaching kids how to do things and it's really neat to see a child's face after they have taught you something. I love it!

I caught this game on a Christmas Deal, so I payed fairly under regular price for it.'

If you're familiar with video games, this one plays just like Super Smash Bros., from it's story mode to the Battle Mode which is really the meat of the game.

It clones the gameplay pretty well, though there are a lot of balancing issues between the various characters, so don't expect play sessions to get as competitive as they do with most other fighting games out there.

Most of the characters are LOCKED before beating the Story Mode, same as SSM, and the Story Mode will take an hour to two hours to complete, depending on how thorough you are (a friend and I literally ran through it whenever we could on Co-Op Mode) One thing I have to note is that while there is a CO-OP Mode to the Story Mode in the game, there are SEVERAL portions that are ONE PLAYER ONLY, so your friend is left twiddling the thumbs at least one a level. Also note that while you will not unlock all the characters through STORY mode, you'll be able to earn enough credits with one play through to unlock the rest in the game's SHOP section.

Another thing to note is that none of the original voice actors actually do any work for this game, so only expect some of the characters to sound like they should, and expect others to sound WAY off (Father from KND is nowhere close)

My final complaint is that the Save Data in not transferrable. You can copy it to and from a memory stick or flash drive, but it's locked to the User account it was created on and there's no way around this, so if you want to bring it to a friends' house with all the unlockable characters, you'll need to bring your PS3 as well.

Overall, this is a cool game to say you own, and to show friends when they come over, but that's it. You won't get hooked in like other fighting games, and you'll probably want to play something else after about a half hour to an hour.

Compared with this "enhanced" version of "Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion", the 3DS version is merely a prototype !

It's basically the same game but with new stuff added to it. It's got the original 18 characters (Yes, even Captain Planet. Go get the Season 1 DVD set from Shout Factory for Gaia's sake !) plus 8 new playable characters. The first half of newbies are Johnny Bravo, Kevin Leven, Aku and Him, who have been "promoted" from their previous appearances as player assists. The other four are new to the scene: Hoss Delgado (spectral exterminator from "The Grim Adventures"), The Toiletnator (pathetic KND villain), The Scotsman (friend/rival of Samurai Jack) and even a young Ben Tennyson (from when he found the Omnitrix device for the very first time).

The story mode is pretty much the same, but up to four players can play together as well as take on each other in different battle modes like PTE Mode to see who can collect the most energy cubes and Drones Mode where you take on numerous enemies. Also, you can earn points to buy new levels (such as the KND Moon Base and Candy Island from "Flapjack"), the aforementioned characters, alternate costumes, and even 30 TV show clips starring your favorite characters ! Another thing, aside from using PTE super attacks and assist characters, you can also use the brand-new special "Synergy Attack" with certain player assists. There are many different combinations of characters and player assists, so you'd better grab that question-marked cube when it appears so you can try them all out !

Well, overall, I have to say it's good, but still, it's not good enough. No sign of any Ed boys no matter how much we demand it (ideas for alternate costumes for the Eds: Ed Lothar the Viking, Edd The Masked Mumbler, Eddy Professor Scam) as does current hits like "Generator Rex", "Adventure Time with Finn and Jake", and "The Amazing World of Gumball". At least some of the voices have been improved and the animation in the gameplay and cutscenes have better flow.

No matter, it'll at least buy me some time until the next "Super Smash Bros." game or perhaps a Nicktoons-themed fighting game. Other games that will satiate my skills include "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" a similar brawler game and "Cartoon Network Racing" featuring other characters from shows like "Cow and Chicken" and "Courage the Cowardly Dog". Still, it is kind of fun to see which character will prove who's the best.

Raiders of the Lost Ark was one of the first movies I remember seeing as a child and it is one of my favorite movies of all time. That being said I was looking forward to a trip down memory lane with this game and I was not disappointed.

First of all let me say that this game is truly fun for all ages. While it may appear to be a kids game at first glance, it's actually a very fun game for grown ups as well. The game has the original Indiana Jones music as heard in the movies. A brilliant touch as it adds to the game tremendously. The lego versions of all Indy characters are well done and very cute. You will find virtually every character from all three Indy movies in this game and you can unlock them all as playable in "free play" mode.

Another area where this game stands out is the humor the designers have put into it. There are so many funny little moments and even some funny homages to Star Wars. The game designers have really done their homework and it shows.

As far as the gameplay...it's what you would expect from a Lego title. Lots of cracking the whip and punching things. While it can get a bit repetitive at times I completely understand why the developers did this. By keeping it simple the game really becomes accessible to gamers of all skill levels....and, in my opinion, that's a smart move on their part.

One of the best things about this game is the co-op mode. My wife never plays games with me on my PS3, ever. We recently saw the new Indy flick at the theater and I convinced her to play this game with me. She loves it! One of the reasons she never plays is because of all the "complicated" controls on the PS3's controller. Back to my point about the game play being simple, the controls are so easy she has no problem playing. There aren't complicated button schemes or an overabundance of complication so she feels comfortable playing and she does not get frustrated. This is one of those games that can be played and enjoyed by the whole family...and it's nice that it's $10 cheaper than most of the other PS3 games.

I gave this game 5 stars. Let me clarify this ranking.

Does this game have graphics as good as Uncharted:Drake's Fortune? No. Does this game have as engrossing a storyline and as diverse gameplay as GTA IV? No.

Does this game accomplish what it sets out to do? Definitely.

I've spent money on many PS3 titles that I did not enjoy nearly as much as this game. Lego Indy sets out to be a cute, nostalgic and simple game based on the Indiana Jones movies that the whole family can enjoy. I believe it has accomplished this in spades. Of course it will not appeal to everyone as hard core gamers are not the target audience but fans of Indy, families and those looking for a fun game will find that Lego Indy is a great time and I highly recommend it.

I purchased Lego Indiana Jones as an alternative to FPS (I'm not a fan) or sports games because I'm new to playing video games. After recently purchasing a PS3 and Rock Band 2, I wanted something other than a music game to try. I grew up watching Indiana Jones movies and playing Legos, so naturally putting the two together seemed like a great idea...and it was! This game is so much fun! I'm 23-years-old, and I can't get enough of it. My boyfriend, who is quite the video gamer, also really likes it. It gives you a challenge without being too challenging, plus the graphics are good and the story line entertaining. I liked it so much, I recently purchased Lego Batman for my younger brother's DS. And he loves that, too! Once I finish the game, I think I'll probably get the Lego Star Wars. Believe me, though-this game is great for the whole family!

Buy Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures Now

I'm a big fan of Lego Star Wars, and also the Indiana Jones trilogy. So naturally, I loved this game. It's quite a bit shorter than Star Wars The Complete Saga for PS3, having three episodes instead of Star Wars' six (all episodes still have six levels apiece).

The Good:

There's the same cheeky humor that made Lego Star Wars so much fun. There's a slightly different feel to the gameplay with less shooting, more punching and throwing things at your enemy. There isn't any flying, but you can control a boat, motorcycle, & car among other things.

Indiana comes equipped with his signature whip, and guns can be found at various points in the game. Pistols & bazookas come with a limited amount of ammo, so choose your shots well!

The other characters have their own different strengths to add to the missions (i.e higher jump, smaller character, shiny object breaker), but the also now have weaknesses as well. Indiana is scared of snakes, Willie is frightened by spiders--so you'll have to switch to another character to help get them past the scary areas.

Instead of collecting mini-kits, you collect pieces of artifacts. If you collect all of them in the game, 3 extra levels are available to play.

The Bad:

When in single player, the game's Artificial Intelligence second player is alot more easily confused. I found myself moving ahead in the game, only to have to go back and get my AI character out of a stuck spot. They also follow too close, making it harder to back up in a tight spot.

Some of the enemy characters are a bit glitchy as well. Every once in a while when fighting enemies, one or two of them would be running in place behind a rock or other obstacle.

The character-switching triangle button is a little more generous this time around. Instead of walking up to and facing your second character before pressing the triangle button to switch to them, in Indiana Jones you can switch to your other guy from across the room. While this is really convenient in most cases, it's really a pain trying to use that same button to jump in a car, or pick up an item. I would be about to jump in a boat with the triangle button, then turn a fraction too far past it and end up switching to my second character instead, who was standing several feet away. Agggrhh!

All in all, it was really fun to play, and the storyline made for some cool-looking environments. Puzzles were tough but doable, and there was a good balance of fighting versus problem-solving. Expect to finish the game in a few days including freeplay--you could rent it but the replay value is pretty good. Hopefully the buggy parts have been noted and fixed by the time Lego Batman comes out!

It is a fun game for all ages. My five, eight, and eleven year old all enjoy this game equally. Very cute idea.

Want Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures Discount?

For those familiar with the Star Wars lego games, this version far surpasses it. Their are many more puzzles in Indiana Jones and they tend to be more difficult in finding some of the secrets and hidden items. This extra challenge makes this game more fun for the older crowd. It isnt just punching every piece of scenery and bad guys in sight. Granted it does have very similar gameplay to star wars, but they have added many new features, such as swinging from whips and vines, climbing and swimming. There and not as many levels and characters as star wars, but the levels are better designed and more encompassing. This is really the only area I think they should have improved on. Each movie has 6 levels, just like the star wars game, but youre comparing 6 movies vs 3. So there are double the levels in the star wars game. The other issue is that many of the characters in this game are Indiana and supporting women just wearing different clothes. However, each character does have unique abilities which makes solving puzzles that much more tricky and satisfying. I would highly recommend this game to everyone, even those that believe this is just a kids game. It is popular among college kids as well.

I purchased this package and in my opinion it's a pretty good deal, especially for the price Amazon is selling it at.

Yes, the game is pretty much a button masher, but for a 40 year old dude like me, that's fine; I don't want to spend hours learning mutliple button combinations and special moves. I played the PS3 demo and enjoyed the atmosphere of the game.

The Director's Cut of the film is on 1 DVD and the game and additional features from the film are on a separate DVD.

The special features on the game disc are the same ones included in the 3 disc Blu-ray set. The only thing you don't get is the digital copy, which would be in standard definition only anyway, so no big loss.

*Here is an interesting point with this set* The bonus features on the game disc will play on your standard Blu-ray DVD player! I tried it in my Samsung unit and the menu comes up and they play perfectly.

So, if you think you want both parts of the PS3 game and the director's cut of the film, I think this set is an OK deal. As a small bonus, you also get a poster featuring Rorschach and Nite Owl and a fold out Watchmen Timeline taking you through key points in the Watchmen storyline. Neither is very impressive, but they are exclusive to this set as far as I know. The case is a standard 3 sided fold-out with a disc on the left and right panels and a slot containing the inserts in the center.

The Watchmen have come home, and if you are looking for the best package to purchase for Watchmen: The Director's Cut and own a PS3 then I highly recommend the Watchmen: The End is Nigh Complete collection.

The games included are the two brawler games released as down-loadable content. These games look absolutely awesome, but the all brawn and no brains style of game included is only passable. The proceedings start off rather awfully as you begin with just a simple fast but weak and slow but painful punch combination, and a simple but rather useful dodge. Things get a bit better as you gain more punch combos, brutal finishers and throwing moves, but the action is never truly elevated over the 'walk in, clear a room then rinse and repeat' formula established in the first level of the game.

Non-Watchmen faithful will probably find the games mockingly awful, but as a Watchmen fan I found myself to be a cheap date for this game. It was just short enough to keep me playing, and was a perfect palate cleanser after digesting the all beef buffet that is the Watchmen movie.

The Director's Cut Blu-Ray is like a bundle of Watchmen goodness that keeps on giving. It is the Everlasting Gobstopper of Watchmen viewing. Not only is the possibly too epic for the theater cut of the movie much more of a pleasure to watch in the comfort of your own home, but it is filled to the brim with extra features that are actually worth viewing for a change.

Zach Snyder's 'Extreme Experience' might sound like it was named by the PR people for Mountain Dew, but it is a great way of getting a first hand walk through the Watchmen. It is like having Snyder in your house telling you all about making his movie, and the love that was put into this film by all involved really shines here.

I watched both versions of the movie in one hour segments, and I can already tell that it is going to be one of those movies that I will watch over and over again.

The Blu-Ray version of Watchmen: The Director's Cut is a good enough package alone that it does make buying the 'Complete' version a bit of fanboy overkill... but overkill is part of being a fanboy! Both this version and the standard 'Directors Cut' of the movie get a huge thumbs up from me. On it's own the game would be sub-par, so I would not recommend the 360 version which only includes the 2 episodes of the game.

This is a great package overall, for starters you get the blue-ray movie with all the special features etc (which in and of itself is the price of the game) and on top of the movie is the game. The game itself acts as a prequel to the movie, with movie scenes based in comic form. The special feature of the blue-ray and the game fill in many gaps in the making of the movie and the concepts of the book.

The game play starts out slow, Nite Owl and Rorschach start with very basic moves but quickly works into a great variety of attacks and defensive moves that has the characters taking on hoards of people with relative ease. Each character collects tokens and find hidden areas for their upgrades. It is a challenging game with some decent replay value, the controls are easy but the camera angles, not so much, but if you can get over that hiccup then the game is a nice look at the Watchmen's world and some of the altered parts of it that made the history of their world so radically different from ours.

Overall, I'd say it's a good deal and great buy.

I originally purchased Watchmen on Blu Ray for around $21 and this was only a few bucks more. For the money, you get everything you get with the Blu Ray release plus a 4-5 hour beatem'up game. Its pretty simplistic, but a fun way to waste a few hours, that's for sure.

The graphics while good, are a bit on the drab side, the collission detection is a little lacking, and sadly, the story is non existent.

As for the movie, I really liked it. It fits well with the comic and was entertaining.

When I first found the Watchmen Video game in PSN over a year ago I figured it would be a fun and engaging game. I even read a story about it in EGM which pretty much put it out there to be a great game with engaging game play and a bit more back story on one of my favorite characters, Rorschach. After playing through the first game, I found myself horribly disappointed. Being the fool that I am I still bought the second game in hopes of a slight improvement, what I found was pretty much the same game, just a few changes in scenery.

My biggest problem I had with this game is the game play. It plays exactly like one of those rail fighter games from back in the early playstation and playstation 2 eras. Kind of like fighting force, but much worse. Fighting plays the same through the entire game and earning new combos doesn't change up the fighting too much. Almost every time you take out an enemy you're treated to a 'slow mo' finisher move that seems pretty cool in the beginning but tends to get old after a few levels. I personally enjoyed the first 2-3 levels, because the game play was light and while repetitive, seemed enjoyable. My biggest problem with the original God of War was roughly the same. The game would be fun and but it would get really repetitive really quick. If you do end up purchasing this game, I suggest you take it a few levels at a time, maybe per week, to ensure you actually get some kind of enjoyment out of this game.

I figured hey, they're going to throw a wrench in the works and make this game more challenging or interesting by introducing game play elements into the mix, right? Wrong. The game play throughout this game follows this distinct formula: run 20 feet, fight gaggle of bad guys, run 20 feet, more bad guys, run 20 feet, bad guys, repeat 10-20 times, cut scene, ect. They do throw in puzzles like flip the switch on the perfectly accessible wall to open the door (sarcasm). These two games are more or less the same thing through and through.

The story for either game is pretty forgettable chase down the bad guys ordeals with slightly interesting endings. However these endings don't justify in any way the slogging through the horrible repetitive game play. The graphics on this game are stunning; you can really tell where all the time making the game went. It was difficult for me to really find anything in the graphics department to complain about. Everything looked very crisp in the environments, and character animations were well done.

To sum it up I found the game play in this game lacking to an extreme. Where the game is absolutely beautiful scenery wise, it's almost impossible to really get past the extremely repetitive game play as well as the not so good plot. If you love the Watchmen and can't get enough, maybe the story is worth slogging through. If not, your hard earned money may be better spent on a game with a more engaging game play and story.
