The first game was almost universally panned as a below average game, though typical in standards for a comic book movie tie-in. Even though it had it's faults I enjoyed it and when I heard they were making a second game my only thoughts were "Well at least it can only get better right?".

Right? Well....ummmm...not really. It's by no means worse, but it's improvements over the first game are only marginal.

The game can be completed in less than 5 hours with little to zero replay value. Hence why I urge you to rent this game before buying. Once you rent it, you'll finish once or twice, or three times within 24 hours and you'll never have to play this game again and you'll save yourself $50 in the process.

A couple of improvements over the original game are the ability to wear your unlocked alternate armor designs in upcoming missions (as opposed to the first game, where you could only use the unlockable armor variants in already completed missions), the fact that your unlockable armor is featured in the game's cutscenes (also unlike the first game where for instance you could be playing the level with the Silver Centurion armor but in the cutscenes you would still be using the movie Mark III armor). The varying types of armor that can be unlocked remains unchanged from the first game with the addition of the new Mark IV and Mark VI armor. The suit-case armor that debuted in the Iron Man 2 film is available in one level and that one level only.

The ability to choose between Iron Man and War Machine at the beginning of each level is a nice feature, though for a couple of levels the choice is not available due to the storyline requiring a particular character for the level. There is no real discernible difference between the two though War Machine has an additional weapons slot and the way they handle when flying seems only slightly different.

One area where I felt the makers taking a step backwards from the last game is the in-game flight system. The first game had you using your boosters as you pinned your arms and legs back rocketing through the air like a missile, performing aerial maneuvers and the ability to catch incoming missiles and hurl them back at enemies. Being able to fly around like this really gave you the feel that you were Iron Man.

The second game however finds you merely hovering through each level as the ability to fly straight through the air like a bullet is cumbersome in its control system, is awkward in initiating, and offers no real difference in speed compared to hover mode.

Gone is the ability to pick missiles out of the air. Instead it is replaced with a missile deflection system which is nothing more than hitting the circle button when the "Incoming Missile" icon flashes upon the screen. Once the button is pressed, your character merely destroys the missiles with a few laser blasts.

The graphics are on par with the first game and the voice acting/actor likenesses are as follows:

Tony Stark himself is not voiced by Robert Downey Jr, though his likeness is used. This goes the same for the Black Widow.

Nick Fury and War Machine are voiced by their respective film counterparts and their likenesses are used.

Gwyneth Paltrow does not voice Pepper Potts and her likeness is not used.

The story is written by current Invincible Iron Man comic book writer Matt Fraction who's current run on the series as earned him an Eisner Award. Unfortunately this is a video game, and as such the writer is restricted in many ways. The story is very basic and really adds nothing to the overall game. Though Fraction's writing gives the characters a certain authenticity that comic fans would come to expect.

Overall the game is a disappointment which would come as no surprise to most of you. Understand though that as an Iron Man fan, both of the comics, the films, and to an extent the previous game, I simply cannot recommend that anyone buy this product.

Here's hoping the Iron Man 3 game will be better.

Well, most of us know, that the first Iron Man game wasn't exactly GOTY material and we didn't expect it to be. We did, however, expect to get a well made Iron Man game. We didn't get that either. While the first game wasn't bad, the second one outdoes it one every level.

Iron Man 2 is fun! Pure and simple. The flight is much easier and enjoyable. The customization comes close to rivaling Army of Two's weapons customization. The story is not based on the movie! They say 5% of the movie is in the game. Well those 5% are the likenesses and voices performed by two actors from the movie. That's it. That being said, this is not a movie game. You have an entirely new storyline and different enemies.

Now it's time for the bad stuff.

The controls are a little hard at first but once you get them down, it's a piece of cake. Customizing your suit is a little tedious but the same goes for it. The biggest drawback is the story. It's very short. You can blow through this game in about 5 hours or so. But you can play it at least twice due to the fact that you can choose to be either Tony or Rhodie for most of the missions therefore giving you different dialogue throughout the game. The animation is a little tough on the eyes as well especially during the cut scenes but that's not why you'll play this game.

You'll play this game for the pure exhilaration of blowing stuff up and being Iron Man or War Machine! Very simple. If you've got some time to spare then check this one out (rental is suggested). It's fun, short, and to the point.

Buy Iron Man 2 Now

This game is not that bad as many reviews around the web tell you, actually I enjoyed this game a lot, it's your tipical shooter, but what amazed me the most it's how short the game is, It actually took me 3 hours to finish the game on normal mode, the reason I gave it 3 stars it's because the graphics, specially in the cutscenes, looked like PS2 graphics, this game looks like it was cut short and the developers had bearly enought time to finish it. I did not find this game as repetitive as the first one, one thing I really liked it's the fact that you can use WAR Machine, and that I got the game for 30 dollars, but now that it's cheaper makes me wanted to wait a little longer to get it.

In conclusion if you a re a big comic fan and likes a simple fun game every now and then, get this game, if you are a demanding freak, avoid this one.

This was a fun game. I had a lot of fun in this game. Do not believe the naysayers, Iron Man 2 is a great game!

The controls are easy to learn, and playing is fun.

The game is rather short. I took breaks in between many of the missions. Most movie tie-in games are short since it takes longer to make a video game than it does to make most movies. The thing is, you can play some of the missions as either Iron Man or War Machine, which gives replayability. Furthermore, it takes more than one playthrough to get all of the research. Most of the research can be gained in one playthrough, however.

The game is mainly a third person shooter with some melee, and it is darn FUN to use the different weapons! Both Iron Man and War Machine have four weapons they can switch to use, and each character can use two of them at one time. Blasting enemies is great fun. Tanks, gun turrets, floating turrets and robots (both ground and air) make up most of the enemies, with an occasional Boss fight thrown in for good measure. There are also big tanks which are kind of like mini-bosses. Shooting things is fun! Your character has a shield, which regenerates over time, and internal armor, which does not regenerate. Oh, and ammunition self-replenishes in time, very nice.

In between missions you can spend Research Field Data points on upgrades. You can upgrade the main weapon, ammunition type, add-on modules for the weapons, and close combar routines. As you play the game, you will unlock different armor suits, as well.

Although short, the missions are a lot of fun. I had a lot of fun with Iron Man 2, it is a good game!

i love iron man, tony stark, and the only reason i bought this game is because i was deluded to believe i'll get a decent tony stark experience playing the game. but no: the game quickly gets old after about an hour playing it, and there's no "Whoa!" factor like when you play, for example, god of war or at least dead space. the whole game has a rushed feel to it, like they're just banking on the legions of fools who worship robert downey's iron man and who would blindly buy the game no matter what the reviews say.

I started playing video games on PC back during thier infantcy during the early 90's. In the mid to late 90's Flight Sim and Space Flight Sim games were popular and in demand. Some REALLY good ones came out. A Favorite of mine was a game called "Independence War". With the increasing popularity of the console game system that really took off in the early 2000's up until now, Flight Sim games have made minimal advances and appearances through this period. Air*Conflicts is one of the few that does well in this genra. I wish that games like Independence War and Wing Commander would be re-designed using modern physics engines and HD graphics. But because I want it, It probably wont happen. sigh. Oh well.

There simply are not many games out there like this. I honestly did not know what to expect when I downloaded the coop demo for this. The banner add had said 'Cyberpunk Action,' and that got my attention. I wouldn't say I am an avid follower of the genre, but there is some interesting stuff that falls under that banner (Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Deus Ex, the Matrix, etc). Once it was downloaded and installed though, within an hour I knew I had to own the game.

I had my reservations, and my experience with the game (so far) has largely confirmed that this is far from a perfect title, but it is still an awful lot of fun. I will break this down into different segments, rating each section with the number of stars I would give it out of 5 in each of those sections. There's a mix of good and not-so-good here, and I will try to outline those things as I see them for the sake of those who might consider buying this game.

I will start by saying this is a game unlike most first person shooters you will play. Yes, ultimately you shoot the bad guys, but there is a greater level of complexity to it than that in Syndicate since your character has a computer chip implanted in his head had he can use that chip to alter the actions of people around him, to effect the environment by activating different systems, or to cause equipment malfunctions. How and when you use these abilities can greatly effect your experience in the game, much more so than tossing grenades.

GRAPHICS ****

I suppose its is mostly tradition that would have me start with graphics, though by this point in video games, we are reaching a point where most people are pretty happy with most of the things they look at. Syndicate does manage to look pretty good and create its own visual style. So many games out there are made with the Unreal engine (with a few tweaks) and they largely end up looking good, but similar. Syndicate manages not to do this in a number of ways, though not all of them are good. I shall start with the positives. The game has a nice color pallet, one that fits with most cyberpunk feel. There are a lot of greys and blacks, with technology standing apart with very vivid colors.

This game also loves light blooms, sometimes to the point where you can't see much but light, but I would say that it has never been a bad experience since it feels like when that happens, it is supposed to be there for more cinematic reasons. Similar to this, there are a lot of parts of this game that feature very strong colored light sources, and this is also used to good effect. There are directional lights and certain areas where external light just peaks through little cracks and is really rendered very, very well. All things considered, I would say the lighting is superb in this game, and probably one of its best visual strengths.

Where perhaps Syndicate falls a little short is some of the textures and models. For the most part, I think they did a very solid job with designing the look of this game, and the models themselves have aesthetic qualities that fit very nicely into the setting they are trying to create, the guns look superb, but there are going to be some times where it looks like they were models have noticeably low texture qualities or the complexity of the model itself looks somewhat dated (polygon count).

This game features a rather large amount of information on the screen other than just what you are shooting at (aka Heads up display or HUD). This is bucking the trend of other games, where the trend is definitely 'less is more.' I personally think they did it in a very stylish and enjoyable sort of way, but I know some of my friends have been less than impressed with how much stuff there is to look at including: other players health, their abilities, a very brief combat log, pictures, names, enemy labels, enemy life bars, blood, your ammunition, your abilities, and so on (or actually that might be it). I especially enjoy how the HUD is not fixed to your TV. It floats around a little as you move, which makes it feel more natural, but again, it is not for everyone.

STORY **

I will talk briefly on this subject because there is not much to say. The story for Syndicate is not bad, but it is certainly not very good either. I would describe the writing as somewhat lazy, uninspired, or perhaps most aptly "just there." This actually isn't that uncommon for Cyberpunk as a genre. You could call it a dangerous trap but the characters around you in this game are not all that interesting. In fact, the script doesn't go to any attempt to make them interesting or even all that human or relate-able. Now this is kind of unfortunate for those people who were fans of the original Syndicate series, but honestly if you're playing this game, you are playing a first person shooter made by EA. Chances are pretty good that you've experienced this sort of 'serviceable plot' before. Its probably not going to do anything to really piss you off, and at times it can be even kind of engaging just from an action point of view, but you're probably not going to write home about what a great story this is or even remember the characters names.

I would say if you are purchasing this for the purposes of just wanting to play the story line, since it is relatively short and not all that interesting, you should seriously consider renting this title or at least waiting until the price had dropped significantly.

GAMEPLAY/CONTROLS ****

Syndicate delivers a very stable and polished gameplay experience. There won't be any/many times where you are frustrated with the way that the game is behaving from a control or interaction point of view. As a general game design critique, I might offer that in most of the game, your choices for how to get from point A to point B is pretty limited in the geographical sense. This is in some ways made up for by other mechanics in the game. The breaching techniques (your computer mind-powers) you use can change your game experience, and perhaps how you get through these sections.

The controls for this game are solid, and it responds in a very enjoyable sort of way. Now, I won't pretend that everyone is going to love this, because the gun movement is a little sloppy. This is pulled off smoothly and consistently, and with the way you raise, lower, and move your gun to shoot around object, I assume this was an intentional thing to try to better emulate how people really hold guns. Your aim seems to easily fly off course because this game doesn't strafe or change directions in the sort of crisp, clean manner we have all been accustomed to since Doom II. If you are familiar with the sort of clumsy, human movement of the original Killzone 2--before the first patch `fixed' it--and you liked that feel, there is some of that here, though it is not quite as disorienting.

There are buttons you will need to get used to because there are things you can do in this system this sort of setting that you cannot do in most other games. The use of the D-Pad to control most of the Dart 6 overlay and the R2/L2 buttons is a good choice. The only button I struggled to find, originally, and this is because I don't play a whole lot of other EA first person shooters, was the alternate fire select, which happens to be the down button. Once you figure that one out, everything else seems to be pretty standard. Every gun (or just about all of them) in this game does have an alternate fire option, which is neat.

One thing about this game, there are times, particularly when you are fighting other agents, that the difficulty gets ramped up in a significant, noticeable, and ultimately fatal way. It was frustrated with one part in particular. There are other parts that I could see being very frustrating too because of this. Basically, being able to breach/hack things creates a bit of a learning curve and puts you at a disadvantage more so in 'the boss fights' than it is an advantage otherwise.

SOUND ***

There are some things that I really love about the sound in this game and there are some things that kind of stand out. I think it is only fair to compare this to other titles that come out for other companies that are (at least in theory) first rate developers, so that sets the bar pretty high. Probably the most important thing about a first person shooter and sound is that the guns sound believable and the environments react with the appropriate sounds as well. Check. This game does that pretty well. There is really no part of firing a gun in this game that I can complain about. It looks great. It sounds great. It feels great.

The soundtrack to this game is actually a combination of original music by Skrillex--which is very appropriate and fun in the context--and some other music of the classical variety for some of the background music. It actually fits in the scenes, and actually having a gunfight while you hear a dainty piano concerto works at one point in the game. The music, in other words, is also a plus.

Where the game doesn't do such a great job is in the voice acting (in parts) and in the mixing. This game actually features Brian Cox, who just has a great voice and is a well practiced and talented voice actor. He does a good job. Some of the smaller parts and lesser actors around him do not, and his solid performance kind of highlights some bad editing or timing, and some mixing oversights. There should have been a little more attention paid to trying to make the voices sound like they fit within the space any particular scene was shot in. If a room has ambient noises that make it sound like it is sparse, slightly echoing, and very open, then the actors should not sound like they are in a 6 by 10 sound booth. This doesn't kill any of the scenes, granted, but in other words, this could be better.

MULTIPLAYER *****

This game features an online multi-player cooperative mode. This isn't the same as the story mode in even a small way. For now it looks like not-quite-a-dozen boards that can be played with 1-4 players. Unless you are amazing, I would always suggest four players on anything harder than a normal difficulty level, because the game does not scale the encounter for the number of players, at least not enough that I have been able to notice.

The multiplayer is a great time for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that it is much more wide open than the single player levels. Strangely, there aren't as many issues with textures that I have found on the multiplayer games either. The missions are, never-the-less, straight forward, and probably last about 10-15 minutes, depending on how well you do. There are multiple levels of difficulty, and things start to ramp up in difficulty pretty quickly, so you are sure to have a lot of opportunities to play through this enjoyably. The demo could give you a very good feel for how this game actually works online.

I really can't say enough nice things about this game and its multiplayer, and the only thing that I can say about it that I don't like is that it uses a peer-to-peer hosting system. This type of system is not bad for up to 4 players, but sometimes you get some interesting lag, and if you are like me, your system doesn't host so well.

UPDATES

According to the creators, they are going to be doing something on every 1st and 15th of the month. I am not sure what that is at this point, but it sounds like there could be a good amount of additional content coming which would be great to see in a game that is enjoyable and has so much potential.

Overall Impressions and Closing Thoughts

In my opinion, the multiplayer really makes this game. I am not usually the type to be sucked into just that area of the game, but really those missions are fantastic and my friends and I have already enjoyed playing quite a few matches on the demo, and now in the real game. I have recommended that people try the demo just to experience how much fun this can be, and many of the people I have suggested do that have also gone on the buy the game, but not all.

I would consider this game, ultimately a bit of a niche game. If you are a big fan of Cyberpunk, you know there isn't a lot of stuff out there that fits into the genre. I would say this game represents the genre fairly well. The writing may not be great, but the feel is pretty excellent, and it is well executed. If you aren't sure what cyberpunk is, if you like Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Deux Ex, or the Matrix, this might be worth a good long look at. The same could be said for someone who is just looking for something a little different than all of the other stuff out there.

If you're in this for the Multiplayer, I could see paying full price for it. It is certainly as fun as games like Payday, Dead Island, or Left for Dead. I have a feeling the second hand price for this game will come down pretty sharply within the next 2 months though because this game isn't for everyone. If you are in this game for the single player, I would rent it or wait.

This review will focus solely on the single player aspect of the game, as I have yet to delve into the co-op multiplayer (which I've heard is also great, but will wait to form my own opinion).

I will preface this review by stating my fondness for "cyberpunk" and sci-fi in general. With its narrative, Syndicate draws from some shining examples of those genres (e.g. Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, The Matrix) to combine them and make an interesting take on technology and corporate greed with no limits. While Syndicates story fairly formulaic within its genre, where the game excels at storytelling is through its visual design and interpretation of its world. You take on the role of an augmented corporate "Agent" whose duty it is to preform extreme acts of corporate sabotage. Utilizing enhancements to your body (a mild RPG mechanic that allows you to choose an ability upgrade certain intervals in the story) your able to augment your performance and "bend" the game to your play style. Everything is presented in a slick and futuristic way both through the use of great art and heads up display.

Gameplay sees your Agent (You) for example: Running into a room, enemies start to pour in, How do you handle it? Well one way would be to "Persuade" (An ability) an enemy to turn traitor against his own and fight against you, then activate your DART system (effectively "bullet time" in the game) and take out the enemies along side your new ally. DART allows for customization and therefore lets you adapt it to your style of play. Its essentially letting you live out your version of "The Matrix" in a game (minus the flying and karate, lol). Essentially making your think (pretty quickly) when you enter a room of bad guys. If you mess up checkpoints are fairly generous and personally I am playing on "Hard" and not having too much trouble.

If your a fan of Sci-Fi, and First Person Shooters, I really can't recommend this game enough. Its got If fun, fast paced, surrounds your with fantastic graphics and slick scenes and is a blast to play. I heartily recommend it. If you have any specific questions about the single player game let me know in the comments and I'll do my best to answer.

Many gamers wonder... what?? ANOTHER FPS?? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?? What happened to the old Syndicate??

Admittedly, this is the nail to the coffin for the old style Syndicate that we enjoyed in our childhoods. But I am also glad they evolved to make something different.

At first glance, yes it is an FPS. (WHAT?? I rather play MW3 or BF3... ??) Hold your horses, the emphasis is different.

The campaign is fun but is not the real point of the game. This game is made for multiplayer. And the producers made sure to make this game different from the regular FPS.

First off, Co-op campaign mode. This is admittedly fun, and make up a large chunk of the whole game. It is well designed and very entertaining, with its own storyline. It is very hard to find a game with good co-op campaign.

Second, multiplayer online feels very different from run and gun. Teamwork is very important if you want your team to win. I shall not say too much to repeat what online reviewers are already saying, but that is the direction the game is heading.

Overall, it plays more like Left4Dead than Call of Duty. So, no, it is "not another FPS". Many people who had negativity towards the game changed their minds after trying the multiplayer demo.

So do not judge this game too fast. Try it/rent it/play the demo if you are not sure. You might actually enjoy it.

This is a pretty cool game. Graphics are very nice. Sound is excellent, from the guns to the background music.

I played the SP Campaign. It is pretty good. I thought it would have a multiplayer slant, but no, you play alone in the single player campaign, which is good. The SP Campaign takes around 8 hours or so, faster if you co-op (battles will be shorter). The firefight battles are a lot of fun!

The AI will use cover and shoot you well. If they have numbers, the enemy will horde you; I usually die to the 4th or 5th guy while I am reloading the key is to move so they do not death charge you. The enemy seems to know when you are lined up for a shot; just do not aim and hit DART Overlay R2, then aim, when they move into view. Many firefights are rather tough, the enemy just keeps coming! And, of course, the mini-bosses they are invulnerable until you use L2 (breach) on them.

There are a lot of different guns, and you get the chance to use all of them if you want to. They sound good. This is one heckuva shooter! You will get a good workout with Syndicate.

The main thing for this game is your chip implant which gives cool powers. The DART Overlay, for example, slows down time for everyone else and gives added defense. You can get upgrades and augmentations for your chip, adding powers like regeneration, extra health, and so on very nice. Of course, you have to take a boss's chip to get the upgrades. Some of the bosses are pretty tough, as well.

Moving through the non-action levels is tricky. The path is not laid out nicely. You have to think to get through. I was stumped quite a few times.

I could not finish the game. I was locked out of the final room. I could not get the door to open. You have to use L2 REALLY fast twice, on two different targets , and it just would not open for me. Darn, was SO CLOSE to the end, too. That is ok, trophies are horrible for this game (finishing the game is a Bronze, so I am not out much. Oh, and there are NO Silvers, just 4 Gold, 46 Bronze, and the Platinum.)

Overall, this game has a Sci-Fi/Cyperpunk feel to it. It is pretty good.

EDIT: DOH! Just use DART Overlay to open the door! Sheesh, I feel silly :)

Graphics were good; however, it was bit drawn in at certain points. The story line was bland at best. They gave you miniguns at points where you may only have to kill an enemy or two, but did not give you enough ammo when you were ambushed by a hoard of enemies. The boss fights were just annoying most of the time. With all that being said, there was a few good points about the abilities such as persuade and other abilities that help you take out your enemies. The game play is choppy and not as smooth as other shooters I have played. I could not recommend this game to anyone as the abilities in the game do not make up for its downfalls.

As an anime fan as well as a fan of Hatsune Miku, I absolutely loved this game! This is a rhythm game which uses the X,O,ロ, and △ buttons in a DDR-style button-mashing gameplay. I have played two of the other PSP games in the series (Project Diva and Project Diva 2nd), and I must say that the game has greatly been improved. They've added "technical sections" and star-shaped targets (hit by flicking the joysticks). Also, since this is a PS3 game, the graphics are 1080p high-definition, and is apparently 3D enabled (I haven't used it yet). In my opinion, you do not need to know Japanese to play the game. Yes, the menus are in Japanese. But I've always managed to get by with my poor Japanese (1st grade level) and trial-and-error. Since it is a rhythm game, Japanese isn't required when playing. As always, PS3 games are region free, and can be played on any system, regardless of the country of origin.

PROS:

+ 1080p HD + 3D

+ Most songs are new to the Diva series

+ New star targets/technical section

+ More Difficult (some of the previous games have been "too easy")

+ Songs feature more of the other vocaloids

(リン(Rin)、レン(Len)、ルカ(Luka)、KAITO,MEIKO)

CONS:

Menus not in English (sometimes the menus in Japanese games can be)

I kind of wish the game was multi-player, but you can't win them all. I was a little concerned about buying the Asia Pacific Edition instead of the Japanese edition, but there seems to be no difference. The only difference I've noticed is the lack of Cero rating in the bottom-right hand corner. For all the parents out there, this game is rated Cero C, which means for ages 15 and up. Keep in mind that the rating is affected by Japanese cultural values, so it is probably an E10+ rating or T rating equivalent. From what I've seen, some of the costumes and dances are slightly suggestive, and there may be some foul language (Of course, the foul language is in Japanese, so I wouldn't know the difference).

Overall, I was very satisfied, both with the product and the seller (WeSellGames). This game is a must-buy!

I would reccomend this to anybody its a teriffic game andif you love J-pop or anime I highly recommend this game

Some down points to this game if you own the version for the VITA its the same exact game with 5 new songs, new accessories for the Vocaloids, and a few new costumes

Ever since I first played Tales of Destiny way back in 1999 I have been in love with the Tales franchise. While not as immediately recognizable in the mainstream gaming community as the Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest/Warrior RPG juggernauts, the "Tales of" series of games have always had a loyal fan base due to the great stories and combat that is the hallmark of the games. The question of whether or not to purchase the latest game in the franchise was a no-brainer for me, and I can say with 100% certainty that I am so happy that I indulged myself.

Controls, Music, & Animation

Every Tales game is painstaking in its delivery of beautiful graphics and music, and Tales of Xillia (henceforth referred to as "ToX") continues in that tradition. Simply put, this game is gorgeous and takes every advantage of the PS3 hardware to simply amaze me. The world of Xillia is bright, colorful, and varied. Environments are dynamic; each exploration area is divided by little "breaks"; while this may seem annoying, the lack of lag when going through a doorway into the next room is practically non-existent. The screen flashes black for one moment and then you are free to control your character.

In addition to the beautiful backgrounds, the characters are 3D mirrors of their anime-inspired sprites used in the cut scenes. While you do notice the difference between the 2D drawing of Milla (the female protagonist) and her 3D avatar, the seamless transition negates any of the very minor aesthetic details. Finally, each character in the game is unique, sporting their own look, and enemies are just as varied and detailed as the "good guys".

Musically speaking, Tales of Xillia boasts an amazing orchestral arrangement with songs to suit every zone in the game. It is truly beautiful and lends itself well to the atmosphere of the story. When you are in an ominous, dark dungeon the music is creepy, with violins and woodwinds playing higher and slightly off-key, creating the ambiance of a thriller movie. Sound effects cover every aspect of movement, helping to bring the world of Xillia to life. If your character is moving through shallow water, swishing noises will occur with each step. The crackle of fire whispers through a zone, subtlety lighting a path. Birds chirp. When the graphics and sound come together, you will find yourself immersed in a world of magic, mysteries, and more than a few baddies to kill.

The controls in ToX are spot-on. Combat is real-time, so players need to be aware of their characters and the baddies on the screen. At the beginning of the game you can alter whether you want harder enemies, a longer input time for combos, and your Xand Y-axis movement [meaning whether pressing upward with the control stick will move the camera up (normal) or down (inverted)]. I chose the hardest setting and kept the input time as "Normal". In the beginning enemies attack slower, which is good as it gives you time to acquaint yourself with the mechanics of combat. While pressing the "X" button will make your character charge forward and attack a target, you also have different magic/elemental-based attacks that can be access from the menu (the "▲" button) which vary based upon who you chose as your protagonist to control. Thus, combat sometimes needs a good strategy; just jumping in and whacking enemies with your weapon does not always work. In this way ToX enhances the gameplay by adding a level of strategy. Once you form a party, coming up with a plan of attack becomes critical; you will be able to combine attacks and setup AI strategies to maximize your combat proficiency (your cohorts will be controlled by AI; from the party menu you can adjust their combat focus, for instance: should that character conserve TP (mana) or go all out and cast the most powerful spells each battle? Do you want a character to heal exclusively or to heal AND attack?)..

Finally, in regard to the map and character control, Xillia has everything nailed. The camera rests comfortably in a 3rd person perspective of your character. The camera rotates freely, enabling you to see a complete map and minimizing the risk of an enemy sneaking up from behind. Since enemies are seen on the map and battles are not random encounters, this is a very important function.

Story

ToX has an over-arching plot of determining why the elements are out of harmony and how to restore mana to the world. When one of the kingdoms in the world of Xillia experimented with powerful magic, they unwittingly caused widespread devastation by draining the world's mana. It is your job to figure out what happened and how to fix it before the other kingdoms start an all-out war.

While the story itself is your basic good-vs-evil RPG fare, the depth of the storyline, the complexity of the characters (their personalities and motives) and presented in a manner to both intrigue the player and to soldier onward to learn more. In addition, ToX gives you TWO games in one; at the beginning you choose either the male (Jude Mathis) or female (Milla Maxwell). In either case, the story will unfold from the perspective of THAT character. Thus, while you will travel with the other person regardless, you will only interpret events through the eyes and mind of your protagonist. This, of course, means that you will want to play through the game AGAIN to see another side to the story!

As the story progresses, you will find yourself watching numerous cut scenes and work to cultivate not only new abilities for combat but also the friendships of others in your party. Using a robust crafting system, ToX adds another level of depth by encouraging the player to explore and find items. All of this combined will suck you into the game and make you want to press onward (maybe to the detriment of your job... make sure that you don't miss work in your zeal to beat the game!).

Overall

To simplify this review, let's recap:

Pros:

1) Beautiful combat system that keeps enemy encounters fun and challenging,

2) No random encounters! Enemies are seen on the map and can be avoided, if desired,

3) Beautiful environment, unique characters, and an amazing soundtrack,

4) Game controls are easy to pick up and play,

5) LOTS of replay value: play through the character-specific storyline depending upon the hero,

6) Wonderful and often-humorous storytelling, encouraging dialogue with others,

7) Lots to explore and many items to find; exploring the world is visually rewarding!

Cons:

1) It costs money; but I guarantee that you will find this to be the best $60 spent on a game this year!

2) The cut scenes can be a little long at times, but this is a minor irritation at best,

3) That Tales of Xillia 2 won't be available in the U.S. for a while!

Thus, simply put, ToX is one of the best games that I have acquired and played in 2013. The story is entertaining, the gameplay is fun, combat isn't random and does require strategy (you can't just button-mash and expect to win), and you can replay the game a second time to see the story from another viewpoint. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the graphics are gorgeous and the soundtrack is amazing?

If you haven't already clicked that "Buy" button, you should really do so. This game is a must-have for PS3 owners, Tales franchise fans, or the RPG-lover in your life. This is truly one of the best games I have played, and I encourage you to explore the world of Tales of Xillia for yourself!

Tales of Xillia is a must have for any jrpg lover! As of late if been disappointed with the feeling I have gotten from most of my jrpgs. I like them they just don't give me that special feeling that draws me in and keeps me coming back for more. I haven't beaten the game yet but I can tell you that Tales of Xillia is special. It makes me excited to play it and draws me in and keeps me wondering what will happen next. I don't want to ruin the story for anyone so if you want to know what happens just buy it and experience it yourself! The battle system is also gray, it is like graces but fine tuned and better. I can't speak for everyone but I haven't been this excited about a game since I played persona 4 golden for the first time last year. And Persona 4 golden is my favorite game ever!

While people are bummed about the fact that Tales of Symphonia Chronicles has dual audio while Xillia only has English voices, the voice acting is actually quite solid. The art style is quite different from previous Tales games, but the change was well worth it. The cell shading is top notch and the scenery is beautiful. The battle system is also really good and the linked artes gives another dynamic dimension.

There are a few things with the game that bugs me such as the delayed loading of NPC's and some graphical bugs. However, they aren't bad enough that they impede the experience.

I bought this game thinking it would be a good party game for adults. After trying it out this weekend, I found it to be comical but not accurate. When you tell the truth it thinks you are lying 50% of the time and ViceVersa. I was disappointed but entertained because the questions were funny. If you aren't taking the results seriously and view as a joke it will be a fun party game. If you want the game to be accurate and tell if someone is lying or telling the truth, don't bother!

As a controller, it works. You can't beat the price, and it's responsive enough that you can play games with it. The one thing I do not like about it is that it will automatically shut off, so I have to turn it back on again after it sits for a few minutes, that can get annoying when I'm watching youtube clips or listening to music. Overall, it's just ok, I'm not in love with it and it is not my preferred controller. This will be the controller I give to the last person who shows up to play.

Ok at first I thought these (got the orange/black one as well) were awesome didn't come with the usb cable (no big deal) or much of any instructions how to sync. But common sense prevailed in just hooking up the unit to the PS3 with usb cable and powering on the PS3. Then turn on the controller and voila... synched.

After charging (which was unusually super fast) first use everything seemed excellent. Tested with Demon's Soul movement seemed a bit chunky but ok when in a safe area but after going into actual gameplay the lack of precision and some delay was obvious. The D pad, colored right, L/R 1 2 3 buttons are fine the precision in the joysticks is where the problems are somewhat obvious. At times they seemed fine but more likely your pan views (right joystick) would move at 20-30 degree chunks (not smooth at all) and in combat, this is bad... very bad. The left joystick the character would almost always jog and you had to REALLY try hard to barely move it in order to get the player to WALK. Buzzkill on the super high reviews. No way I'm playing Demon's soul or any shooter with this controller. I have to figure out if I'm returning these or just letting the kiddos use them so they don't kill my SONY PS3 controllers.

Build quality is great, I'd give 4 stars... playability is where it's really bad.

I'm a long time Metal Gear fan. I've played every single title, and I've loved every single one. Chances are, if you find yourself here, you are probably a Metal Gear fan, and don't need to be told anything about the superb story. Metal Gear Solid is one of the most interesting and engrossing collection of games spanning across many generations.

Disc Two of this collection is the HD Collection (MGS 2, MGS 3, and Peace Walker), plus the two Digital Graphic Novels in movie form. This marks the first time that the Digital Graphic Novels are released in the States. Once you input the disc into your PS3, you will find the Digital Graphic Novels under the videos section of the XMB. This, for me, is worth the price of admission alone. I own a physical copy of the graphic novels, but it's so much better to see them in action with full voice overs.

Disc One is Metal Gear Solid IV. No frills, no extras.

The voucher was not working earlier today, but this was a mess up on Sony's part. The scheduled PlayStation Store update came much later than usual. The voucher nets you Metal Gear Solid, and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions. This also marks the debut of the VR Missions on the PS3 and PSN. I'm not sure if it'll be sold as a stand-alone, but it might happen.

The 100 page art book is the size of a blu-ray case. It has a neat collection of promotional materials for all games of the Metal Gear Solid series. It's not hardcover, but it does have a neat embossed cover. All in all it's pretty great.

If you're not all that interested in the Digital Graphic Novels, then you could pass this collection up. Essentially, what you are getting here is a repackaged HD Collection, and a repackaged Metal Gear Solid IV. It's really awesome to have almost every single game in one box, but I can understand why some people would not be eager to double-triple, or maybe even quadruple dip.

I, for one, am very happy with my purchase. 50 bucks is cheap for 8 games and 2 Digital Graphic Novels.

The entire list of games is as follows:

Metal Gear (Accessed through the Metal Gear Solid 3 menu)

Metal Gear 2 (Accessed through the Metal Gear Solid 3 menu)

Metal Gear Solid (Digital only)

Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (Digital Only)

Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition

Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition

Metal Gear Solid 4

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker

as well as:

Metal Gear Solid: Bande Dessinee (Digital Graphic Novel)

Metal Gear Solid 2: Bande Dessinee (Digital Graphic Novel)

Not really much that you can say about this collection that hasn't been already said about these games. These games earned their praise as one of the greatest games for their respective consoles, all in one neat package for a low price. There is not really much to say about the games, as each game has been well known and there are more detailed reviews out there for each game. But there are some details that some out there would find useful.

First off, we will go over the artbook. It's going to be a 100 page artbook with an embossed cover. The artbook is not hardcover, if that matters to you. For those who own the MGS HD Collection artbook or the 25th anniversary artbook from KonamiStyle, you will be slightly pleased to know that the contents are completely different. The artbook is filled with promotional images for every game. There are postcard images, poster images, and magazine ads from all over the world.

Disc one of the collection contains Metal Gear Solid 4. Nothing else. I am unsure if it is the MGS4 Vanilla or the MGS4 Trophy edition, because I already updated my MGS4, but saves from the old game are compatible with this disc because they are exactly the same. That also means you won't get a new trophy set if you already own MGS4..

Disc two contains the rest of the games. What is interesting to note about this disc is it is a hybrid disc, meaning it is a PS3 game and a Blu-Ray Movie Disc. Meaning those who don't have a PS3 but still want to enjoy the Digital Graphic Novel can watch these with a regular Blu-Ray player! The game side of the disc is an exact copy of the MGS HD Collection. Metal Gear 1 and 2 are still included within MGS3, for those who didn't know. Because the disc is the same, you can still share files you used to have as well as the cloud saves from your Vita. Like MGS4, you won't get any new trophy set if you already own the HD collection.

Metal Gear Solid 1 and VR Missions are downloadable PSone Classics. And while they do not state they are Vita compatible, they actually are.

EDIT: MGS1 can not be downloaded directly to a Vita. You must transfer it onto a Vita using content manager.

For the price, this collection is a great start for those who always wanted to get into the Metal Gear series. They contain all the games that contain important events to the series (Portable Ops is missing from the collection), so it's perfect for new players to the series. There are still some things in here that can lure in people that already have the game, such as digital copies of VR Missions and MGS1, as well as the Digital Graphic Novels, especially since the second one was never released outside of Japan.

Despite already owning these games in various versions, this collection gets my 5 star rating.

What can go wrong with so many Metal Gear Solid games in one box?

This is an awesome collection with the best games of all time!

Everything works for me, discs and codes, I don't understand why so many people are complaining.

I could play all games stated in this collection without any problems.

Metal Gear Solid 1 has to be downloaded and it takes around 700 mbs.

The VR Missions also has to be downloaded and it takes around 300 mbs.

Metal Gear 1 and 2 can be found inside Metal Gear Solid 3.

I would recommend this for all of you who didn't buy the previous HD collection or if you are new into this set of games..

If you did buy the HD collection, this would be good if you are a Metal Gear Solid collector.

I'm happy with it.

Read Best Reviews of Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Here

Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection wraps up the most essential games of the MGS universe, leaving spinoffs like the "Acid" series behind. However, despite being a mandatory day-one purchase for any fan of Solid Snake and the legendary Big Boss, I still feel that they shouldn't have forgotten once again of the great "Portable Ops" game (for PSP). Canon or not, it's a very damn entertaining and insightful game at the same time.

Nevertheless, besides PO not being included, I have no complaints. I absolutely loved what I received in my hands a few days ago. The packaging looked bigger in the pictures, but it still took my breath away. As many reviewers have already stated, the collection includes the 2 original Metal Gear games, MGS 1 (Digital download), MGS2, MGS3, MGS Peacewalker, the 300 VR Missions for the MGS 1 (Digital download), and obviously MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots (In a separate disc). There's not a single game in this collection that I would recommend to avoid playing or that it doesn't deserve to be included. Each game marked a huge paradigm shift when it came to videogame engines, rich characters, graphics, level details and storylines. Each game offers a satisfying, unique experience. Each game deserves to be played from beginning to end. Each game breathes its own life.

In addition, you'll also receive a fantastic art book with 100 pages of MGS related stuff. It features a badass cover that you will love to death since day 1. Finally, the graphic novels with the stories of the first two 3D MGS games are another powerful reason to place the disc on your Blu Ray player (Or PS3) and enjoy of a finely executed digital graphic work with more insight on those amazing games.

If you've played any of the MGS that exist and liked it, then what are you waiting for? This is the ultimate chance of getting your dirty little hands on "Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection", which basically encapsulates the MGS mythos into one single, accesible package for you to enjoy from here to eternity.

Want Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection Discount?

If you're reading this, you're probably already a MGS fan. And if you're a MGS fan then you probably already have most of the content included in this collection. Still, that doesn't completely devalue this collection. I give it 4 stars because of the convenience of having all the games in one box. But I can't give it 5 stars because this is just an enhanced version of the HD Collection that came out just a few years ago. Konami is double dipping and abusing fan loyalty by offering us the Legacy Collection. The included extras are neat, but if you're not a die-hard collector then you probably won't care for them. The art book is small and simply includes photos of Playstation box art. They're all pictures we've seen a thousand times before lining the shelves of Gamestop. A major disappointment.

I haven't viewed the digital graphic novels yet, but if you're a Metal Gear Solid fan then you already know the story. Another thing is that MGS1 is not included on disc. The game comes with a download code, completely eliminating the collection factor of this bundle (and if you already own MGS on PSN then the code is useless).

With all that said, the Legacy Collection may still interest some people. If you were planning on getting the HD Collection then the Legacy Collection might (but probably won't) be a better choice for you. And if you're new to MGS then this collection is perfect, but odds are you'll probably just stick to Uncharted or COD or whatever you're playing. MGS is not a game you just pick up and play, so it's doubtful newcomers will find the Legacy Collection appealing. The only people who REALLY benefit from this collection are die hard collectors and those who haven't touched a Metal Gear Solid game since MGS3 on PS2 (I fall into the latter category).

At the end of the day the Legacy Collection is just a repackaged HD Collection with some superfluous extras. Still, it includes almost every Metal Gear game to date and is still loads of fun. I'm happy with it, but others might not be.

EDIT: After viewing the first Digital Graphic Novel I have to say that this Collection actually may have some worth. The DGN is basically a comic book with voice acting. Again, if you've played the MGS games then the DGN won't add anything new for you in regards to the story, but as a fan I really enjoyed this cinematic representation of MGS. This alone doesn't make the Legacy Collection a smart purchase, but it does add some value and fun to the collection. (Although Grey Fox's new voice actor is terrible)

Gundam Breaker is what Dynasty Warriors Gundam 1-3 should have been. This does not have a story mode. You just fight different mobile suit foes and earn parts from them. 1. I'm disappointed because this "video game station" is listed in the PS2 accessories, and that's what I ordered it for... but, because the PS2 it's a tray load system ie, slides out horizontally, it doesn't fit (unless all you want to do is store it there, then take it out to play). But is fine for the "top" loading systems. 2. The slide out drawer is large enough to hold many game cd's +the controlers. The top compartmnet will hold a controler too. Also within the top compartment is place to put memory cards with a snapping lid (it was designed for the cords, but this is a better use so their all together and won't get lost).

Bleach Soul Resurreccion is America's first Sony developed Bleach game. Although we have not received many of the PSP ones, Bleach Soul Resurreccion is a great first entry for the franchise on this system. Rather than being a fully fledged fighter type game, it takes the established hack and slash formula but adds a bit of the good ole Bleach flair to it. What this created was a fun yet extremely short story experience that highlighted 14 key moments of the arc in the franchise with some narration that was heightened by the fact that we could play through these moments. Ultimately, it was enjoyable.

The real joy of the game comes from over 25 different missions that can be played by a majority of the games 21 member cast. Missions can vary between defeating 100 soul reapers, to being handicapped by not being able to jump. It is here that I have to replay and build my characters level to take on opponents in three different difficulty modes to be able to unlock more soul points (utilized for raising the characters level and growth, up to lvl 175) to have character gain new abilities and better states. What is the price, perhaps gratification and being able to complete numerous trophies. This game prides itself on replayability and because of the Bleach franchise and playing as Rukia, Hitsugaya in his bankai state, Byakuya, Ichigo in his bankai state, Grimmjow, and others, it wont get old for a long time. The story mode took me naught but six or so hours, while missions mode is taking me quite a long time. In addition to missions mode there are character figures to collect, with voice clips, which is a nice touch.

Graphically the game looks great via its manner that emulates the anime. The opening animation appears to be a different take on various scenes on the anime and looks great. Attacks in the game are flashy and gorgeous. It never gets old seeing them. There are numerous attacks for the characters, close to six or more for some of them that all look true to the anime as well. This adds variety for the controls on top of being stacked on simple combination attacks and skills that can be chained together for combinations. I have been able to chain numerous combos to try to get to 2000, which is possible.

The game allows one to play in both English dialogue and Japanese dialogue, music is the traditional rock type for this genre of gameplay and some songs are pretty addictive and nice while others are just fitting. Characters that are not part of the playable 21 still appear during the game and chime in to talk to your main character and often sometimes its fitting, hilarious, or just true to the anime counterpart.

The only faults of the game is that the storyline is short, varying degrees among fans about the fights in question (anyone can argue for or against the importance of the ones shown), no online multiplayer or co-op (considering Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3, a game in the same genre has it, it is a baffling omission), no anime cutscenes (it would have made it nice to have considering this is based on the anime, however the cutscenes it does offer using the games visuals are nice), and lastly, the games story could have been told in a way that would help newcomers to Bleach take part, the way it is told through narration using the same Voice Actor as the anime, it drops names with no faces to many characters it refers too and the story and is a rather brief overview leaving out some details. However, if one is experiencing Bleach for the first time, it provides enough background that they can understand what is happening, and maybe, check out the anime once they finish the game.

All in all, this game is definitely worth it and a great use of the Bleach license. I love playing as Ichigo, Uryu, Rukia and other characters, and the fact that there is mission mode, which also incorporates something from the as yet to be released in America, Hell Arc character, there is fun to be had. Definitely check it out if you are a Bleach fan, as one wouldnt want to miss this.

Let's start off with what they did right, shall we?

The Good:

They did a good job at making you feel like you're a kick butt Bleach character in powered up mode--all of the enemies die relatively easily. This can be a bad thing as well, but a simple difficulty increase fixes that problem. There is lots of replay value (assuming it doesn't bother you that the side quests outnumber the main storyline content in orders of magnitude) that will keep you busy and upgrading your characters for quite some time. They did a decent job at making all the characters have different strengths, and mostly different attacks. Hell, they even threw in unlockable guys gated behind the last sidequests, which will give you something to aim for.

The Bad:

This game just FEELS like it should have been a fighter, and not an action/RPG. There is very little story, and it skips large segments of the Bleach storyline to the point where it is basically spoiling the story for you if you haven't yet read/watched that far in the manga/anime. It even implies that certain characters beat certain bosses, where in the manga they simply fought (and the battle didn't neccessarily come to the conclusion you would think). The game doesn't explain how you went from point A to point B a lot of times (especially near the end), but again, that ties in with the lack of a cohesive story. As I alluded to earlier, the main story is EXTREMELY short. By that, I mean I beat it in a single morning--and this was with breaks to play the mission mode (the sidequest/repeatable missions I spoke of earlier).

And that's pretty much it. If you are reading my review and think it sounds really negative...well, I guess it kind of is. BUT, this isn't to say I don't think it's worth a playthrough (assuming you already know the storyline--don't spoil it for yourself) because it is. If you're a big Bleach fan (and love hack and slash action games) I'd even go so far as to say buy it. Maybe not at it's current $60 price tag, but you can decide on what your money is worth. They could have done so much more with this game, but I think it's worth spending some money on, if only to let developers know that you'd like a better version of this in the future.

The game may be a hack-n-slash game that gets repetitive after a few hours, but bleach fans would agree that the smoothness and appearance of the game make it worth having for the PS3. Cel-shaded anime games never looked so good and the voice actors are the same as in the show (i play in japanese though so i dunno about the english voices).

Of course, there are things that could be better, like more characters, more diverse power system (i.e. start in shikai then advance to bankai using the power meter thing they put in or something like that), and a longer story (14 episodes is really short... took like an hour or 2 to beat.... why couldn't they have started form the beginning of the story like other anime games do?, but the stuff that's in there is good. Characters are different enough that you won't get bored for a while (and some characters are just ridiculous...) and the graphics and combat system help keep you entertained (dynasty warrior fans know what i'm talking about for the combat thing). And there are a bunch of trophies for people who care about that stuff.

Overall, this game is a great start to bleach games on PS3. I hope they keep them coming!

First off if you only watch the english dubbed episodes do not play this game it will spoil the rest of the series for you. Dont get me wrong i am extremely happy this game was released over here but considering how much this game covers its surprising that it was released. i mean we are on episode 200+ over here while this game covers 300+ episodes over in japan even the 4th movie(the 3rd movie has not been released here it comes out in november), so like i said if you dont want the series spoiled do not play this game. For me and others like me who have watched the japanese shows with english writing get this game. its a great game its hack and slash and you can level up your characters. it covers all the important battles in the show. the only complaint i have is that all the characters have the same attacks just a lil different. there is alot of replay lots of modes. overall its a fun game and must own for bleach fans. Sorry about the review its just a quickie so no comments about how the review is written please :)

I'm sure most of the people who will buy this game are Bleach fans. Most of us have been waiting for a good Bleach game on PS3 for a while. We now have our wish with Bleach: Soul Resurreccion. I will say that if you're not a fan of hack and slash games then you probably won't like this game even if you're a bleach fan. I understand why some of the reviewers have called this game repetitive but I honestly don't get that feeling. There are several missions to unlock, story mode, and other challenges as well. Add in the fact that you can play with multiple characters on multiple difficulties (you start with normal and hard but unlock very hard as well). Also, I will agree this game has a Dynasty Warriors "feel" but it is certainly not a Dynasty Warriors clone. My only gripe with this game is the fact that they left out some of my favorite characters (although I'm hoping they're just saving them for the next Bleach game). So my final pitch for this game is simple. If you like Hack & Slash games give this game a try. If you don't like Hack & Slash games then don't buy it. If you like Hack & Slash AND Bleach then this is a must buy.

The Last Of Us stands out the most of any game I've played of stroyline, its just that great, it can make you jump if you don't pay attention to you're allies, be stealthy like a ninja harm the ai humans or zombies, and a great cinematic trailer with great music at certain points not like metal gear solid series where you get 1 every 5 minutes. the multiplayer you can't be Rambo and take out everyone by yourself right off the starting point. you need to collect items to create gear that can give you and advantage in the battle with you're team or if you're set and all alone set up traps for them to come to you and take out whats remaining of the other team. overall the game is truly deserving of at 10/10 and I dont see any other games locked in for game of the year then this one itself. Only thing im gonna complain is the price is way off at $399 I'd take my money to a local gamestore or best buy where you can go get it for $150, if they still got the copies, since they've been selling like funnel cakes at a festival.

Words can explain the game. With beautiful graphics, great voice acting, and one of the best story games I've played in a long time. This game should definitely be in your game collection. I give it a 10/10 and maybe the best game of 2013.

When I got the game I though "it would be great a Joel and Ellie statue" so I found this on internet, I did not have a friend in USA for buy it and send it, and hopefully no one helped me with that: the box is huge!!! (I can't imagine my friend's complaints about it :S)

I opened it and found the great surprise of a fully detailed statue, excellent quality on paint, size, weight and materials

The steelbook is the same as the Survival Edition I preordered, also the comic book

The only complaint is that it would be great to get a different steelbook

At this moment the prices are sick, specially on ebay but if you want to get an excellent collectible piece, very rare and limited, this is your option, I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do

I don't own this Edition of this game but I do own the statue and the game, got them separate of course my review on both game and the statue now I have a literally have a whole library of games but none of the games comes close to this one cause how good it is so I've heard a lot of great things about this game also what's really impressive is that this game won over 50 awards so I knew I had to get the PS3 just to order to see it in person, all of I got to say the intro of the game will bring tears to your eyes I have never played any game that MADE ME CRY ! and for me that's telling me that this game is masterpiece no other game did that to me ever this game is just phenomenal ! I will tell you the main plot of the story its basically about a 14yr old girl named Ellie who is born into this new world without any technology or even the society that you and me knew all she knows on how to survive and see tomorrow any who she is helped by a man name Joel a hardcore survivor to reach this group/team called the fire flies so through a fight of survival you will experience bandits, military, and the infected but please don't sit there and say oh this is just another zombie game I for one wouldn't call any of these infected zombies cause there not if you were put these guys up beside to Resident Evil or The Walking Dead zombies then you will be like oh that's not zombie so you ask yourself what the hell is it well my friend human being's are getting over run by a fungus that's called Ophiocordyceps Unitateralis the exact same fungus that mind control's ants and now it evolved to become more dangerous and rapidly spreading to humans, now there are three Infected types Runners, Bloaters and Clickers personally my favorite one is the clicker which are blinded infected humans who use clicking to find you similar to bats so every time you hear an eerie clicking sound be on your toes and observe your surroundings cause if your not to careful you will die no pimp slap to the face its the real deal once your in the grasp of the clicker game over and you will restart to your last checkpoint. Also this game gives you some the most awesome weapons like a led pip, Molotov, plank, bricks, guns to this really badass home made bomb where you can use scissors blades and nails put it into a jar mix some gun powder and watch some gruesome side effects to your enemies. Alright so you got a brief sense of the game so lets talk about Ellie and Joel 12inch statue also by the way I love collecting figures so indeed I had to get my hands on the statue man oh man its worth every penny for sure if you love collecting and displaying to friends or whom ever comes to your house so what comes with the figure well it comes in a huge black grey box with a fantastic art of main characters and of course the title of the game, so once you open the box you see a back drop of a city being over taken by nature and a really awesome sun set giving this really nice orange glow, so now the statue Joel is very nice he has all of the dirty look from dirt to Ellie's cheerful grin looking up to Joel with a Deer Rifle in her right hand sitting on a turned over newspaper stand with a couple of shotgun shells resting on the cold surface, each figure carefully done with some nice tints and that gritty dirty look making you feel like that they have been through alot and also this game will just want you want more aswell as honoring it with this phenomenal statue I will highly advise you to try this game out for sure cause this game is definitely worth your time.
