I bought the product because it was VERY cheap, when I got the controller I was expecting something that slightly resembled the feel and look of the playstation 3 controller I already owned. When I unboxed it I was slightly disappointed but I decided to try it out. I started up a game and immediately noticed the friction on the sticks. I thought that it may be an ok thing then I tried to sprint using L3 and it didn't work. I tried 20 more times and I only got it to work 4 times. Overall I am disappointed even for 16 dollars this was seriously a piece of s***.

I got my controller today and I knew it wasn't named brand which didn't bother me. It synced flawlessly and played well for 20 minutes then froze. I wouldn't recommend this To anyone. Something's u can't be cheap with and this is one of them. Stay away from this product and just buy the authentic Sony controller.

I hope anyone who wants to make this purchase first reads the reviews. I'm not sure which is worst, the product or the sub par service from"Seller1on1". I immediately returned this product once it arrived. What bothers me the most is, the seller asked that I remove my negative feedback! If you research the seller, they seem to have 5 stars. Apparently they are bribing consumers with $5 credits to remove their feedback.

I realize that this isn't a true product review and belongs on the shippers page, but I'd like anyone who,is thinking if buying this to be aware.

Okay we all know that good "Movie Games" are hard to find. Once in a while one is done right ( I, for one, loved the punisher game for the ps2) and this game is one of them. Wolverine is a lot of fun to play. There are a few lines from the movie so if you don't want to spoil anything then I suggest you wait until after to play the game. If you have seen the movie..well I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be ripped straight from the film but there were a lot of differences and fresh story to play through. Comic fans will enjoy the various Wolverine costumes, cameos, and references to other characters. The game does live up to the Mature rating. The cut scenes are fantastic and there is a lot of action! I have only rented the game because I am usually weary of adaptation games, but already I have spent well over six hours playing...and I have only had it since this morning. I have found it to be very addicting considering I usually only clock in an hour or two at a time with most games. This could also be because I am desperately trying to get to the end so I can get the Deadpool trophy. I am disappointed that there isn't more of Wade in it but I suppose if I had it my way it would be nothing but The Deadpool Show! I have not finished the game yet so I do not know exactly how long it is but so far I am having a great time impaling enemies on spikes, solving puzzles, slicing through mountains of limbs, earning trophies, and enjoying the story. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I have had a few glitches while playing ( bodies and heads floating after being cut, and one time a cut scene didn't kick in so I had to go back to the last checkpoint.) Overall great game if you are a fan of Wolverine!

I had a great time with this game, but I tend to rate my games on more than one play-through. After all, what is the point doling out 60 bucks on a game if it lacks the second or third time through?

Overall, the game is really well made. The graphics are solid, and the gore is a nice touch. However, it takes more than some flashy graphics and flying blood to make a good game. Especially today, the game needs to EARN its sixty dollar price tag. To be honest, the game really IS well made. The controls are easy to pick up and barring a few annoying tendancies, such as being mid-combo and combo-ing yourself right off a ledge, the game allows you to hone your feral senses. It really IS like playing Wolverine. The voice acting is excellent and the "puzzles" are just challenging enough to give you time to pause and think.

That being said, this game has almost NOTHING to offer you once you beat it. It reminds me alot of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Once you unlock the alternate costumes which amounts to a handful...... there is nothing else. Just more of the same. I have been down this road before. The Force Unleashed was a fun game the first time through, now sadly it collects dust. To be honest it takes more than trophies to keep me going. Either the game has to vary enough each time through that it allows you to at least pretend it is bringing more to the table, or it has to be SO much fun each time through that you don't care that it's the same. Unfortunately, it is a pattern of kill a group of baddies, run to the next part, kill a group of baddies, kill a new type of baddie, run to the next group, rinse and repeat. Occasionally it is broken up by some pretty spectacular boss fights such as gunships or just very BIG baddies. I hate to go against the grain on this but I do not consider this to be a 4 or 5 star owner. It is a 4 or 5 star renter. A very well-made game with plenty of action to satisfy your bloodlust, but until this game hits the twenty or thirty buck mark, I'd recommend renting it when the need for violence takes you because on that ground, you'll find few better than this.

Okay, it's common knowledge that most movie games suck, however, every rule has it's exception. Wolverine Origins Uncaged is one of them. Let me start by saying that while the game doesn't offer the diversity of games like Zelda or Bioshock, it is one of the best hack 'n slash games I have played in the past several years.

Some people may try to comepare this to God of War, but it's actually a lot more like Ninja Gaiden 2 as far as the style of combat goes. Now it's true you don't have multiple weapons to choose from, but does that really matter, this game allows Wolverine to DISMEMBER enemies with his claws! Warning, if you are a parent, I really would not recommend this one for your 9 year old son. The rumors are correct, Wolverine does decapitate, dismember and disembowel enemies with his adamantium claws. Also, when Wolverine takes damage, it shows and it also shows as it heals. Players can also upgrade wolverine with increased claw damage, healing factor, and multiple combat and rage attacks.

Fun game, new enemies every level, challenging, but not impossible, overall good solid game. I really haven't found anything to complain about yet.

This is a game that is surprisingly good. It is probably one of the best movie-tie-in games ever made. But those games tend to trend to the abysmal. The game follows the plot of the movie in loose way but features characters and events not portrayed in the movie.

PRO's:

1) Extremely fun and engaging combat system.

2) Wolverine's abilities seem accurately reflected in the game. The regeneration system works well. You can see him heal in front of your eyes. The claws damage most enemies as you might expect.

3) RPG elements are fun. The upgrades work and you do become more powerful as you progress.

4) Excellent voice-acting and plot.

CON's:

1) Some repetitive boss fights. It gets pretty tiresome jumping on big dudes' backs and stabbing them in the hump.

2) Incredibly frustrating timed platforming with controls that are subpar for platforming. (For example in good 3d platformers such as Assassin's Creed 2, or Prince of Persia, trying to jump off a platform and mistiming the jump results in your walking to the edge and stopping, or catching yourself. In this game you just walk off the edge. Also, most platforming in this game seems to require double jumps, which is tuned overly tightly, making it very difficult to execute.) Overall the platforming seemed nonsensical. Wolverine can leap 30 yards to stab an enemy, but without that enemy his range seems to be 5 yards.

3) Some poorly spaced checkpoints which force you to repeat long tedious sections in even of failure. Although for the most part the checkpoints were pretty decent.

4) Somewhat subpar graphics for a PS3 game.

Overall, the game was pretty awesome for anyone who is a wolverine fan. It also is fun to replay, with the exception of the platforming parts.

In the world of "movie to video game" disasters, we've come to steer clear of new movie games. After watching Wolverine in the theater, I knew that this game had potential, it was just a matter of whether they would harness this potential or destroy another good idea. Let me be the first to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how great this game really was! From start to finish, this game had me hooked!

First off, let me start with the controls. I have to say that this was one of the easiest games to pick up, pop in and start playing. From the beginner moves, to the rage moves, the controls are very easy to learn and master. Personally, there is nothing worse than a new game that takes 5 hours just to learn how to move your character.

The graphics and "screen play" type action sequences are great! The game is your basic "flash-back, flash-forward" type scenario. It keeps in line with the comic books and movie (so that is a plus), but also has some other plots to keep the game fresh. The game does live up to its mature (M) rating though, so keep that in mind if you are considering this for your younger gamers. Plenty of gore to go around in the Uncaged Edition.

As for game play/time, it took me a little less than 10 hours to beat the game on medium difficulty. But please keep in mind I spent a lot of time wandering for items to achieve the trophies for this game. If you are looking at this game because of trophies, it will take a minimum of two play throughs for the platinum (once on medium and once on hard, maybe another play through for straggling trophies you may have missed).

Overall, I loved this game! From the cut scenes, to the puzzles, to the slicing and dicing, to the trophies and the pure enjoyment of the game play! If you are a big fan of the Wolverine comics, you will love this game! If you are a fan of slice and dice games, you will love this is as well! Or, if you are just looking for an action/adventure game with some killing, then this is the game for you. Enjoy! I know I did.

It isn't the best of quality of controller, but at least it works. It seems to be made somewhat cheaply and does not work as well as the wireless default controller you would get with your system. At best it makes a back-up or if you do not have enough money to get a wireless, this one will do in the meantime.

After reading other reviews I knew I was taking a chance on this, but the price was cheap. I expected the product to be cheap as well, and it is, but I didn't expect to have buttons reversed. I am using this controller on a PS3 and the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons were reversed, so that pressing L1 gave me the L2 action instead (and same for the right). It would be usable this way, but frustrating. The box advertises that it is a "universal" controller that you could use on your PC, in which case reversing the buttons shouldn't be an issue because you can completely reprogram the controls of most PC games (but I doubt many PC gamers -which I primarily am -want to give up their keyboard and mouse for a console controller -I most certainly would not, especially not a cheap one like this).

I decided to open it up instead of return it, assuming it would be pretty simple to fix the problem. It is a simple fix if you don't mind doing a little soldering (and I'm no expert at soldering, but if you don't know what "soldering" is then forget about it): just unsolder a 3-wire cable, reverse it, and solder it back on (repeat for the other side). I only have a sample size of 1 and there weren't many product reviews when I purchased it, so I don't know if this is a common problem or just a quality control goof-up on some.

Aside from the button reversal, it pretty much works as expected. Note, however, that the L2 and R2 buttons are NOT analog. The two joysticks are, but the trigger buttons are not. And there is no motion controller (it's a fouraxis) or vibration, but I think the product description clearly stated that. Also, the "home" button on this controller does not act like the standard "PS" button at all, but this seems to be a common problem with third-party PS3 controllers. Instead, the "home" button, at least on the PS3, acts as a mode switch, causing the two joysticks to act either as analog joysticks (normal), or to duplicate the functionality of the d-pad and the buttons (I have no idea why anyone would want to do this, but it seems to be the default mode when I hook up the controller). The LED lights that should indicate the controller number are also useless. They seem to act as a mode indicator (the mode set by the "home" button), with 1 and 2 lit up for the weird default mode, and 3 and 4 lit up for the normal analog joystick mode.

The controls all feel more stiff than the stock controller except for the buttons (triangle, circle, x, square) which feel chincey. The analog sticks don't have as full a range of motion as the stock controller, and the L3/R3 buttons (pushing down on the analog sticks) is difficult, especially when the sticks are not in their center position.

Definitely not usable as a primary controller (the primary controller needs a working "PS" button and should have motion control) and I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time playing games with this as a second-player controller (especially if I hadn't fixed the button reversal problem). I got it so that I could pull multiple characters into my games to trade items (in which case I hardly use the second controller) and for my 4-year-old son to play some games with me (most of which can get by with the d-pad and 4 buttons), so it works for me. I just wanted something really cheap.

(SPOILER FREE ""Except for Parts of the Prequel Game, Metro: 2033"")

Through the very first minutes of playing Metro: Last Light, it becomes increasingly evident that the game matches its above-average predecessor, Metro 2033, and then surpasses it with ease. This finely made sequel takes the gaming audience back to the same post-apocalyptic Russian underground environment of Metro 2033, twenty years after the catastrophic events of a global war and nuclear holocaust that happened in 2013. Last Light takes place a year after the events of the first game.

Based on the post-apocalyptic novel "Metro 2033" by Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky, the Metro series charts the survival of a young man who was born in the subways, tunnels and halls beneath the devastated wastelands of the surface world, where some animals and humans have "changed" into mutants referred to as Dark Ones. Metro: Last Light picks up where the previous game left off, with our protagonist settled down in a military base camp, believing his order has completely eliminated the threatening Dark Ones (at the end of the 2033). Then the nightmares came... In Last Light, our character is tasked with tracking down the last remaining Dark One, and he is sent to head to the surface. That's when things get tricky, and spoilers must be avoided. Enemies of enemies become friends, a daring prison escape comes to a conclusion, one that just scratches the surface of utter survival of the fittest -that's just in the very, very beginning of the game. No spoiler. Gotta grip yet?

In Metro, you make some game-affecting decisions as far as communicating with NPCs and killing or sparing certain people. As you sneak and fight your way through both the tunnel systems of underground Russia and the laid-to-waste garbage land of the surface, there is a multi-factional civil war happening. So, character choices ARE evident, even though it really comes into effect later. You upgrade and modify your weapons, mostly handmade, also collecting tactical gear as you make every attempt to dominate the monsters of the world. With these elements, Metro: Last Light succeeds at being both a polished first-person shooter and a survival-horror game, as it blends those elements in a very fine way, albeit slightly more heavy towards suspense horror than the element of survival (More Dead Space 2 than Resident Evil 4) ... except it's FPS, of course. In another way, one can compare this game to other post-apocalyptic FPS like Fallout 3 and Rage. However, this is not an open-world sandbox game, so don't be fooled.

Rightfully, Last Light has improved on the series in the most important, gaming-experience-centered ways. The gameplay is incomparably smoother, which was a necessary development because Metro 2033 was outright clunky. The inventory management is easy, but could be a tad better. The controls are similar to games like Far Cry 3, maybe not as smooth, but very good, and a much needed improvement. The graphics are clean, crisp, and finely presented, probably the best feature of the game, unlike the choppy and scattered graphic work found in its predecessor. The graphics really set the dark tone of the game, creating a dangerous and challenging atmosphere. Sometimes, the character designs during NPC conversation sequences lack a little detail, but overall it's well done, and that's just a minor complaint. The enemy AI has been much improved, another necessary change they needed to make, as that was probably 2033's second-worst shortcoming, behind all the initial bugs and glitches. 2033 wasn't hard enough, and the action didn't do justice to the premise of the game. Last Light does not suffer from any of those lags. The sound is finely mastered, as it is often keystone to drawing proper suspense in a horror game -with faint noises lurking in the distance and uproars of ear piercing pitches when danger begins to hint.

I was skeptical to purchase this game at first, as I had not really heard much about it, and I didn't play the demo. Now, I know they made commercials, but I didn't see them, and still haven't. Also, I was mildly disappointed with the first game, and when major game developer THQ had taken over the project, it gave some room for hope. However, they fell into financial trouble, eventually filing for bankruptcy -making a lot of people think that the sequel to Metro 2033 was going to be shelved. The eastern European gaming development company, Deep Silver, picked up the rights in auction and finished the project. It's a good thing Deep Silver, the publishers of the Dead Island series, followed through.

The game feels like how it should feel, like a finished product, not something that was rushed to production or remains short-sided or too linear. Last Light is a lot of fun, and it coaxes fine playing from the gamer with a good learning curve. They could have added some things here and there, and I'm sure they would have liked to have more time to finish, but the final product is a success story. I particularly loved the weapon customization, graphics, enemy design, and the on-going, developing adaptation of the novel "Metro 2033" by Dmitry Glukhovsky.

This is one of the best games I have played in 2013, and I'm playing Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3 presently. Games I've played this year like Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, and The Last of Us will all be Game of the Year candidates. Metro: Last Light will certainly be up there as well.

Last Light is a rewarding game set in a unique atmosphere that gets the blood rushing, and sets the suspense for causing deep breath releases throughout the course of the game. Safety is something you feel beyond the screen when you get past the danger. You're going to be unloading a lot of bullets to take down enemies, but you're also going to be keeping an eye on ammo count, so the game is just difficult enough to be a good challenge, and the improved enemy AI really shows.

A good suspense-based first-person shooter needs three things, in my mind, to succeed. Number 1) Gameplay first -all great FPS games need to be clean, clear, polished and flowingly and directly accessible. The control base and concept creation must match the quality of the action (like Call of Duty: Black Ops 2). Number 2) Strong story -any FPS can succeed without a good, detailed story, but the great ones have stories that grow deeper throughout the game, giving the action more meaning, creating more non-linear plot lines, and offering the gamer the chance for deeper involvement (like in Bioshock Infinite). 3) Lastly, a sense of catharsis -a great game that uses suspense and utilizes horror must finish the ending of the game with suspense or partial resolve, feelings that provide a sense of catharsis and satisfaction for the player after finishing the game (like in Half Life 2).

Metro: Last Lights, for good merit, succeeds on all accounts, especially in the realm of horror and in the essence of action. Also, it's a creative output in a genre that tends to see a lot of redundancy. It's amazing to think that this title might have gone under with THQ, but it didn't. So, ... Here's a quick rating breakdown.

GRAPHICS -9/10

ART DESIGN AND CONCEPT -9/10

CONTROLS -8/10

GAMEPLAY -9/10

SOUND -10/10

GAME DEPTH -8/10

DIFFICULTY DIFFERENCES -8/10

STORY -9/10

WRITING -8.5/10

REPLAY QUALITY -9/10

OVERALL -9.0/10 (Excellent)

Pros:

-Superior to Metro 2033

-Graphics

-Gameplay

-Succeeds in the realm of survival horror

-Concept, design and story

Cons:

*Following directions of NPCs can sometimes be mildly confusing

*A fairly decent amount of cinematic sequences and cut shots which draw things out a little too much

*Inventory management could be better

*Needed some initial patches (which was fine)

*The Limited Edition of the game is the Standard Version, that would be THQ's fault -not Deep Silver, they had to work with what they were given and within an amount of time -they could have just added the DLC to the original game because it's not different outside of difficulty.

This game has real atmosphere. I think you get a good taste of what life would be like in a nuclear winter. Maybe I'm just cheesy, but it was a scary game.

The characters are developed. There is real emotion and feeling. The story is absolutely amazing.

I wished Artyom actually spoke in the game. And some character accents, like Anna, weren't that good. But there is a reason. I think the creators didn't want the accents to be too thick and hence not understandable.

I highly recommend this game.

I wasn't sure whether to buy Metro Last Light, since Metro 2033 proved too difficult for me to finish. I'm happy to report that the easy mode for Metro Last Light provided the right amount of challenge for a casual gamer like me.

The game play mechanics are great. Sneaking actually works well. You get a silencer for your gun early in the game, so stealth is actually fun. The controls feel responsive. There were very few moments where I felt frustrated.

The graphics are also great. Playing felt immersive due to the excellent graphics. Walking through the different environments, it felt like the NPCs were real people. As you walk around in the stations, you can hear conversations of other characters. It was fun to just stand there and listen to some these conversations.

My one complaint about this game is the voice acting. A lot of the time it felt stilted. I would describe the story as good, but it didn't rise to the level of great.

Overall, this game is a lot of fun and even the casual gamer can play through its entirety.

I really wanted to like Blades of Time...really...It looked on the outside like a weird combination of Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia with a dash of God of War thrown in, but unfortunately this sequel to 2009's "X-Blades" has a few too many obstacles to allow it to rise above mediocrity. Ayumi is the scantily clad eye-candy heroine of Blades of Time, a fantasy action, hack `n slash adventure. There is a completely inane storyline about Ayumi arriving on a mysterious island called Dragonland, rich in treasure but naturally fraught with peril. No previous adventurer has ever returned from Dragonland...naturally. Of course it's never quite that simple and Ayumi finds herself caught up in a battle between factions who are fighting for control of the land.

Despite some large environments to explore Blades of Time is fairly linear which honestly I don't have a problem with. The next areas won't open until you've met your objective in the current area. A quick press of the d-pad will bring up a compass to point you in the direction of your next objective so you need not ever worry about getting lost or knowing where to go next. The compass will also provide hints to the locations of treasure chests where you can find upgraded weapons and firearms or various other battle perks.

A standard skill tree is provided which allows you to expend your earned experience points to buy a wide variety of power-ups including magical attacks. These include an almost overwhelming set of combo attacks. Earning a new combo transports you to an arena to practice your new combo which isn't very realistic but is helpful. The problem is, and you've likely heard me say this over and over again, is that there are so many combos that its simply not easy to remember them all and even if you do, many don't have any greater effect on the battlefield than your standard attacks so likely you'll find a few attacks that you like and stick with those.

Combat is just ok. The schemes are fine but there isn't the gritty feel that you get with so many other similar games and the effects of combat are also boring and mundane. Between battles the game features numerous platforming and puzzle solving sections. The platforming sections are made needlessly difficult and frustrating due to a lousy camera view. This often leads to you falling to your death. Fortunately checkpoints are quite frequent, but that doesn't make it any less annoying and if there's anything I hate in a game its frustration and annoyance being used as a substitute for challenging level design.

Blades of Time's key feature is the ability to allow Ayumi to rewind time. Now this isn't like Prince of Persia Sands of Time where you could rewind to recover from falling to your doom, but rather it's a battle aid. You can run up, attack a foe several times with your sword, and then hit the rewind button. This creates a clone of Ayumi who will then mimic the moves you just did...in this case you now have the Ayumi clone attacking the enemy along with the true Ayumi. The one caveat is that if you rewind time it not only affects Ayumi but the enemy as well. This if you're fighting a boss, his health meter will go back to what it was when you rewound time. So in a sense you're giving a boost to the enemy as well. Kind of stupid if you ask me...and it makes for more careful use of the power. Add to that the fact that health is always in short supply and boss battles become a chore.

It's clear that developers Gaijin Entertainment spent most of the design budget on Ayumi. She looks good and has a ton of animations. But none of the character models look nearly as good. Voice acting is decent...enthusiastic although Ayumi's voice doesn't sound like you might think it should. While Blades of Time has some fun elements it's bogged down with too many frustrating platforming sections, irksome boss battles, weak character designs and a muddled story, and this game is strictly a renter if nothing else is available.

So many reviews of this game have been nothing but disparaging. People give it horrid scores due to the fact that it is "repetitive", that the plot is "bad." None of these things are very true, in reality. This is not a bad game. It works like it should, it's fun, and it's a nice way to spend some time and money. "Blades of Time" is a throw-back to a simpler time in games, when playing as a cool protagonist with cool weapons and running through imaginative worlds filled with menacing creatures, all framed within some solid gameplay, was enough to have a good time.

The plot follows Ayumi, a blonde treasure hunter for the mysterious Guild who has no hints of being even remotely Japanese. This organization sends her to a cursed island from which no other hunter has ever returned, all in hopes of gaining an illustrious amount of gold to share with them. There's a reason that no hunter has ever returned from the place, which would be because it's crawling with massive amounts of enemies and traps that utilize unseen types of weapons and magic. With the aid of a fiery dragon goddess who grants her the ability to manipulate time, Ayumi must find her lost partner, Zero, and find the treasure before the island takes her life.

This is a pretty intriguing set-up for the very honest game that "Blades of Time" is. By honest, I mean that the game never tries to pass itself off as something it's not. It never overwhelms the player with tired RPG elements like so many hack-and-slash games nowadays do, nor does it make any attempts to be "edgy" by throwing in language, excess gore or idiotic amounts of fan service. In fact, one of my favorite things about this game is how earnest it really is at heart. A lot of people call games with grueling difficulty and intentional frustrating gameplay "old school", but to me, that type of "old-school" feel is too manufactured and exploited by too many companies. Trying to artificially recreate what made older games so enjoyable takes away part of the charm at the end of the day. Here, Gaijin has accidentally made a good old-fashioned return to early PS2 action game conventions, and in the process created a very mindless but nevertheless fun game.

There are a few unique quirks to this game, though, and those quirks are actually "BoT"'s biggest flaws. The first of these has to be the underdeveloped "time rewind" ability that Ayumi gains. Using the power creates clones of Ayumi, so as to distract enemies and team up on them from where they're least expecting it. Some enemies with heavy shields actually cannot be defeated without this power. The problem lies in the fact that the game explains how to use it in a very poor fashion, and when you're using it, it feels like the most confusing and arbitrary aspect of the game. With no proper measure of your clones' longevity or abilities, you're left making clone after clone and hoping that something works. "Hope" is not a word that should apply to being able to work a key component of a game. Mechanics as instrumental as that need to work how they're intended or not be included in the finished game at all, period.

Another quirk is the game's gunplay, and to be blunt, it's utter shite. While I admire Gaijin's attempt at putting the element in there, Ayumi's accuracy is beyond awful, and her ability to move when aiming is hindered greatly. This becomes frustrating when the game expects you to volley off shots at airborne enemies at a rapid pace while they're shooting at you with powerful projectiles. If you could shoot your rifle without being forced to use an over-the-shoulder camera, a la "Devil May Cry", it would be a much better system. It's unfortunate that it ends up being the absolute worst aspect of the gameplay.

What this game does best comes down to Ayumi's duel katanas and her arsenal of magic abilities. Hacking through enemies with new swords is a fun and simple pleasure, and her fluidly fast movement makes most of the battles fun, brainless excuses to lay the law down on evil denizens. Ditto for the magic abilities, which end up turning many battles into some wicked and creative fun. My favorite is a type of forceful push that splits apart into a wide array of blasts, much like a spread shot in "Contra." The funny thing about this game is that the most basic, cliche gameplay elements are the ones that actually end up producing the most fun I've had with it.

Also impressive are the graphics, which, while not gorgeous, are used to create some of the most creative and inspired environments seen in a game this year. Typical RPG-esque fantasy realms are avoided, and even the dungeons never feel recycled or dull. Every once in a while I had to stop and move the camera around just to take in the wonderful surroundings, filled with lush meadows, steampunk airships and majestic temple ruins. While it should again be stressed that the textures used to render these things are not top-of-the-line, the objects and locales themselves are lovely to look at, especially on the PC version (available on Steam.)

For all of it's issues (bad gunplay, poorly implemented time rewinding, uninspired acting), the good parts (fun swordplay, imaginative environments, cool magic upgrades) balance out, but never outweigh, the bad. What players are left with is a game that is "budget" in every sense of the word, but not lame or bad by any means. "Blades of Time" is well-priced, and for what you're paying, you're getting a fun and cheap experience that will last you a decent amount of time. If you're expecting a game-changer, then look elsewhere. But if you're ready for a few relaxing afternoon sessions of cathartic button mashing and dungeon exploration, then Konami has got the game for you.

This is not the type of genere I normally play, but I got this game super cheap and so I thought I'd give it a try. It was a good value for the price, but it is not the kind of game that you will get more then one playthough. The first playthrough took around 15 to 20 hours. The plot of the game is nothing special, but I did find myself actively engaged in the final part of the story. It's a linear game and so it suffers all of the limitations that a linear game has. For example there are collectables and if you miss one, you are unlikely to go through the whole stage just to figure out where the last audio-log is. This is a hack and slash game, so there is a degree of button mashing, but you are best served by strategically using your time bending abilities and using different abilities and by the end of the game you will have almost all of the power-ups. I did find myself using more then one ability over and over, which means there is a good balance in the game.

the reason why i bought this game was because of the "time travel" in combat. this is not present in any other video games i have played so far. but like i said story line is lacking a little and the dialogue is corny. overall a okay-good game,

I preordered this game the moment I learned of it's upcoming release a while ago as I was a fan of X-Blades. This game is kinda like a mix of Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia but in a good way. This game received many mediocre to poor reviews that this game does not deserve. If you love old school hack-n-slash all the way up to the newer titles then you'll like this game and have fun with it. My biggest issue with this game is that theytook away the magic system and equipping your abilities to use them whenever you want like you could with X-Blades. Instead, you have to build rage and then cast your spells using a combo system. This game kinda feels like a prequel to X-Blades rather than being a sequel if it is even either at all.

This game is frustrating at times because you have to remember to utilize your time abilities to create additional versions of yourself and keep doing this until all at once, all of your past versions deal enough damage to kill off tough enemies. The graphics to this game are beautiful and definately less cartoonish than X-Blades. The controls are pretty easy to get the hang of and definately better than most newer games. I love how Ayumi jumps around and fights. This game also has a level select to replay the areas to collect whatever you missed and you can also play this game online in specific online levels and objectives. I think if anything, games should mimic the character controls/fighting animations off this game combined with Dragon's Dogma. I really hate that most newer titles still suffer from environment camera angles where as this game only suffers from that sometimes depending on where you are or what you are doing. (I don't like seeing a tree or building on my screen and not being able to see my character.) I think a Metroid game could benefit from this game model because Ayumi kinda jumps around like Samus should and replace the swords and gun with the plasma gun and bingo, a "good" Metroid game.

Anyway, I recommend this game to anyone that loves level-based hack-n-slash games and just wants something to play for a while. The game isn't that long with only 10 levels and only about 8 boss battles. This game isn't completely outstanding as far as the story but it is definately above average if only judging by the mechanics of the game.

I received this a day earlier than the estimated delivery date. It was packaged in one of those hard-to-open plastics that piss you off when trying to open. There are a few typos & grammatical errors on the packaging possibly from being translated from another language; but hey that doesn't matter this is a great quality product regardless. After a few months of drumming on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Rock Band 3 my original (Rock Band drums) drum pedal broke in 2 places, so this was purchased for the replacement. I'm mostly expert playing with just 1 pedal, and this can easily withstand songs such as Overkill by Motorhead, etc. If you're really active this may move all over the place so you may want to secure the bottom somehow. I would highly recommend this.

The text on the box is clearly a poor translation from some foreign language. When I got mine the hard plastic container in which they came was broken and part of the pedal sticking out. I believe this happened because the plastic was so old it got bridle over time. I was willing to look over that until I tried to use them. I am a big guy, over 200 lb and I had to pound this ting to register. I bought this for my son and there is no way he has the strength to use them. I am returning them for a refund. I do not recommend this product.

Received the drum pedal in the mail on time. As mentioned by another reviewer, the packaging has been poorly translated from another language. Not the best of signs, but whatever. However, upon plugging in the pedal and using it for gameplay, it quickly became apparent that something was wrong. First it lagged terribly on its responses, but then it settled into not lagging but only registering about 60% of notes played. Tried it for a while on several songs, tried fiddling with it, nothing worked. Simply an unacceptable product and a waste of money. I returned it and am not interested in a replacement. Whether I got some sort of defective anomaly or the product itself is junk is a mystery that I am all too happy to leave unsolved.

I've always disliked the standard Guitar Hero Drum Pedal, so finding this product was a relief! It sits well on the ground, doesn't move much (unlike the standard pedal), and feels weighted properly. The curly cable is infinitely better than the cable on the standard issue pedal, which "peeled" apart as the years went on, leaving annoying bits of plastic all over my carpet.

This pedal comes with a splitter for another pedal and lets you switch between Rock Band and Guitar Hero drums, so it is cross compatible.

Can't recommend this enough as a replacement for the GH Drum Pedal!

The new Skylanders Giants starter pack did not disappoint. We seriously considered getting a Portal Owner's Pack, since we did have the portal from the original Skylanders game, but the Starter pack comes with TWO new Skylanders characters in addition to the one Giant Skylander that comes with the Portal Owner's Pack. Given that the Starter Pack was only $15 more than the Portal Owner's Pack, and the price of individual figures has risen to $14.99, getting a spare portal AND another figure made getting the Starter Pack a bargain!

Oddly, the portal is wired. The original PS3 portal is wireless. I guess we can still play if we run out of AA batteries, so that's nice, but unless the original portal breaks, I can't see using the wired portal much.

The Giant included, Tree Rex, is a lightcore figure. This means that when you put him on the portal, portions of the character light up. In this case, his eyes, and his Chlorophyll cannon. We haven't gotten any of the other Giant Skylanders yet, but so far, we REALLY like the new direction. Gameplay provides ways of getting through each adventure with or without a Giant in play. You can use your old Skylanders characters, and they can now level up past level 10, but you won't get credit for any of the series one characters in the collections awards/accolades, unless they are brand new. We had a fair number of series 1 characters, but the only one that registers as a collected character is the new Drill Sergeant Wal-Mart exclusive I had recently obtained (before the price increase) and had not played in the old game. He does register as a series one Skylander though.

Don't get me wrong, all the old characters bring all their old levels and powers in, and that can be a big help in playing (especially if you had a lot of gold built up), but they don't appear in the collections, if you switch hats, the old hats are no longer available (unless you go back to the original game), and a significant number of the accolades are related to buying new characters. Brilliant marketing device, but a touch annoying to parents.

One new portion of the game that I quite like is the addition of the Skystones games. In game, in addition to the rotating lock puzzles, there is now a strategic game involving tiles you accumulate as you play the game. The games against in-game characters gets harder over time, and in some cases you need to choose your tiles, as well as their placement, wisely in order to win. I like that the game is encouraging more thinking of children. Kudos for that!

I bought the starter pack instead of the portal pack, because the kids didn't have cynder and jet-vac. So the portal was free when you add all the pieces together and I wanted a backup portal anyway. The new portal is USB powered only, the previous one was battery and wifi, which is better. No more battery or connection problem when the battery is low. The game graphic looks the same as spyro adventure, pretty rough. I was hoping for a higher resolution for the game. So minus one star.

The Giants eyes and other parts lights when placed on the portal. As for the gameplay, I can't say much, but the kids love it... for now... I remember when I bought them the spyro adventure last thanksgiving, they played on the weekend for about couple of weeks and then it sat there collecting dust till the Giants came along. Almost a year! What I am saying is that you don't have to buy all the skylanders giants or the skyalanders, watch and see if they really like it or not.

My just got this for his birthday and he loves it. The coolest feature I think is that the individual figurines get there levels, gold, and weapons "transferred" to the figurine and you can play your character on other people's systems whether it be PS3, Wii, XBox, etc. Know that you only need one portal as this is only a one or two person game and multiple Skylanders can go on one portal. You should also look into Sidekicks and add on "weapons" as they are fun additions.

Read Best Reviews of Skylanders Giants Starter Kit Here

One of the things I hated most about the original was that the Portal was wireless and took batteries. This one is USB powered. We would run into problems with the wireless one with the original because they would need changed in the middle of the game and lock the game up and cause us to lose our progress even after we changed the batteries. The design of all the characters in this version of the game look better than the originals. The Giants are huge and the one that came with this lights up when you put them on the portal. Very nicely done I think. The down fall is that Activision Inc. is charging more for all the new series 2 figures. The series 2 figures seem to go up to 150 max stats instead of 100 max stats. My kids all loved playing this game.

We bought this game for our four year old this past Christmas. She is pretty technologically-advanced for her age, but had not mastered the Playstation controller yet. Thanks to this game and her extremely patient father, she can now enjoy videogames just like him. It is a huge hit, and only three months later, she is able to turn on the console, load the game, and play at least three levels with no help at all. It is a great bonding experience for her and her dad. They have a blast upgrading the characters and picking new ones to try out. We now have a respectable collection, and buying new characters is an easy gift opportunity or reward. It can be a bit of an investment in the long run, but worth it for what she's gaining. It is also encouraging her to read so that she can tell what she needs to do.

I highly recommend this game. It is a great concept for a game, the gameplay is challenging but not so much so that it gets discouraging and the characters are hilarious. I highly doubt you will regret getting this game!

Very nice. Only have one problem with it. It does not come with a cable. But it works with the charging cable for PS3. Does not work with off-brand memory cards. Only Sony and Standard PS2 cards. Very quick transfer. Manual transfer only (had no instructions) Very good overall though, very smooth and quick transfer.

Transfers ps2 and ps1 memory card data to the ps3 and allows you to save from the ps3 back to your cards if you want... Yes you can load the games to play (ps1/ps2) and pick up right where you left off (on ps3). The only thing I was dissapointed with is that it only works with official Sony memory cards. So make sure you transfer your data (from ps2 or ps1 cards) over to an official card before selling your console. I borrowed my friends ps2 to transfer from my off brand card to official card and then onto the ps3 with no problem : ) There are a few videos on yt that help a lot with understanding how the product works. It creates a virtual "card" on the ps3 and you assign that card to slot 1 or 2 so when you play your ps1 or ps2 games you still select memory card 1 or 2 even though it's now internally stored on the hard drive...

Appears for a second or two but then disappears, making it almost impossible to copy or move saves around. I was able to copy a playstation 1 save on to the PS3's harddrive after attempting it 12 times. I had to be quick enough to do it before the memory card adapter disappeared. Not sure why it doesn't work or if it's the wrong version but it would otherwise be an immensely useful tool.

Worked perfectly with no issues, right out of the box. Was concerned when the writing on the packaging was lacking in English text but there were no complications. Transferring data from both PS2 and PS1 memory cards to my PS3 was smooth with no hang-ups. It was affordable and a sturdy device. Unobtrusive as it doesn't occupy much space at all. (It's just bigger than a PS2 memory card)

Used it with a PS3 slim 160GB 4th Generation model.

I really like this game. If you are into musical games like I am, you will find yourself really getting into this one. I don't really use the singing part of it because some of the songs really aren't made to sing with like how they are in guitar Hero and Rockband, but the DJ part is stellar. I will say though, that after a while the game can get a little tiresome after you beat it as there really isn't too much downloadable content for it anymore.

Was great when it worked....

After approximately 20 minutes of use the white turntable refused to sync. A quick google search indicates that others have this problem, and not just with dj hero tables but with rock band equipment as well.

The grey turntable works great and syncs every time so I can still play solo, but the whole reason I bought the party pack was so I could play with friends locally.

Buyer beware.

I've had the game for just about 24 hours now, I bought this because Im an avid racing GAME fan (not so much in real life zz). I was feigning for something good on PS3. Most racers I've shopped for look like they suck or are not my type, So to compensate I'd been back on the Playstation2 playing INDYCARseries (I STRONGLY recommend to everybody reading this) and Nascar Chase For The Cup 05 (the absolute best one before they started wwatering their game down and eventually stopped making it). SuperBike 09 IS the Perfect Game. SBK 10 and 11, don't even waste your time, they watered those down too with arcade racing all the way around. Its sickening

SBK 09 (Super Bike World Championships), is Phenomenal for those who understand they are going to bust their ass a few times and they will need to (OF COURSE) learn the tracks and do the training. After I bought this game, I saw people complain about the "Training Mode" saying it won't "HELP" you do anything. Training Mode is exactly what its supposed to be, You go out the By Yourself, and practice turning laps, learning the track and getting used to the dynamics of riding the bike. I've only had this game for 24 HOURS, I've NEVER RIDDEN A BIKE even on a Simulation, and I can say if you go into this with a decent sense of what racing is about, you will go from spilling out, to turning laps and continuously learning lessons of racing and riding these bikes on a road course. Training mode, is A+.

If you need the training wheels just go on to the lower settings and work from there and try the SIM or EXTREME (highest level) settings later.

TO THOSE WHO THINK THIS GAME IS ONLY A PAINFUL MOTORBIKE RACING SIM

{I am a SBK newbie, but Im racing on ALL the extreme settings, so don't bypass this game. Racing here will be fantastic, they have fantastic settings and you should easily be able to find what works for you and still find challenges all over the place that will make you love this game,}

The gameplay is Phenomenal, and I have yet to race , but these racing graphics (and physics) blow any GAME PERIOD out of the way, including racers. But i think you get the picture by now as to how i feel about the game, what I'll do now is list to you impressive features, then a wishlist for future versions of this series.

*riders fall off bikes just like you would if you got your *** out there making newbie mistakes (lol)

*bikes get damaged when they flip and roll all over the pavement

*riders get injured when they bail from there collapsing bikes and tumble twist and cartwheel all over the track (If U Fall, Try to fall in the Sanddd!)

*track conditions actually matter, not just in weather, Sand can be tracked onto the track (watch out!)

*Weather conditions, Sunny, Cloudy/Overcast, Wet (not raining but slick with various wet spots), Raining (breathtaking raining Sim graphics and physics)

also, Watch Those Rubber Stripps, (the red&white road course lines). Theyre much more slippery than in Stock Cars and F1, If your not ready to hit them You Will Bust Your Ass)

*Large Variety Of Teams Bikes And Riders (im a newbie but there is alot of them)

*Pit Garages

(this is more technical info, ignore if u need to)

But I Love The Pit Garage and What You Can Do In It. The telemetry is my absolute favorite part so far, that you can track what you did right or wrong on any given lap you need to look evaluate. It helps me visualize what gears to be in at certain parts, and learn how to be confident on the track. The advice the engineers give is useful as well, those nuggets can help me learn something I never even thought about, especially as a newbie. BIKE SETTINGS, i want to salivate at learning and Loooking at all the mechanics of these bikes. Its not very hard to pick up though if you have any experience real or simulated with race cars.)

*HIGHLY impressive presention, even from the Main Menu on throughout everything else. These presentations take the Cake.

*Settings

(I just turned 22, I play on extreme settings, etc. My brother is 10 or (11 :o), he could enjoy the **** out of this game with just a simple change of settings. But for any others interested, it doesnt even have to be That simplistic, You can make this game whatever you want it to be. Even if your a absolute RACING newBie)

*Race Weekend is fantastic. Im A SBK newbie, but the 60 Min Practices, the Spectacular 2 Rds Of Qualifying, SuperPOLE, And the TWO RACES. OMG. Race WKND just Basically PLAY NOW functions, you can go to any track and pull a Race Weekend,. They also have a direct Play Now mode which just lets you go ahead pick your starting position and race

*Championship Mode, is what i mentioned above just in the form of a Season and Point Earning

You can skip any of these functions by the way, You may be Forced to skip them If you busted your ass and are Injured lol.

*REPLAY I havent raced yet, But after races, You can watch Either A TV BROADCAST OF HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR RACE or more selectively a replay in the eyes of a particular Rider or Event.

*The Camera Angles (last but not least) They have about 10, including 3 that put you right into the Eyes of the Rider, You will definately find one that you love.

WISHLIST

*GO Back To the SBK 09 Model. Start from there and Scrap the SBK 10 and 11 bulls****

*ALL Racing Leagues, I know they have already done it, but make sure you do bring that along. This would mean incredibly More TEAMS, and More TRACKS and COURSES

*Custom Soundtrack (every game needs to have it), though the SBK 09 Music IS Goood.

*NightTime Racing (how ******* cool would that be with THESE graphics.. ... ). Even if leagues dont do it in real-life, I want it

*Custom Team (in the vision of OWNER Mode, I want to be responsible for Bikes, Good/Poor Riders and everything else

*Don't Forget JORDAN 23RACE. Be sure to bring that league along tooo

I took time out to right my review, this game makes me want to save up for a motorbike and Im not even a real-life car or bike Fanatic. But this game makes me appreciate racing and race weekends Even more. I will be posting gameplay videos of this and even other games, Im just waiting on my HDTV money to arrive. Subscribe to me to stay POsted (youtube . com / legendm0de)

Game is the better of all that I have tried when it comes to motorcycle sport bike racing. I ride a motorcycle and will be hitting the track for the first time in the very near future. I would say this game is a good visual simulator. Helps you somewhat in choosing lines, thinking about entry speeds, braking, drafting, etc....

Video game companies need to step it up as do the consumers in order to have more and better motorcycle racing video games to be put out on the shelves......demand is the mother of creation...LOL

I would buy and enjoy this game if I were you and demand a bigger variety and choice in this gaming area.

it's 2012 and there isn't many options out there when it comes to bike games. I bought this game because of the reviews here and I'm satisfy with it, I had my doubts if I was going to get the right game because all bike games are name similar, so if your buying this game make sure it's from VALCON Games.

at gamestop they also told me there's not a lot of options and Moto has gotten bad reviews from everyone I decided not even to try it.

anyways this is what I've seen so far,

there's actually only 13 tracks, unless I haven't unlocked them yet.

there's like no bridges or tunnels, it's rare that you go uphill or downhill.

the mountain scenery tracks are awsome.

the music doesn't put you to sleep like GT5

this game could had been better if

it had more custom options, helmets etc.

more realistic crashes.

more tracks, tunnels, bridges, uphill tracks, downhill tracks and squirrels jumping on your screen whatever something.

don't expect a 2012 game, it's 09. It's cool and I give it 5 stars because it's fun to play, again don't expect 2012 graphics.

hope they make a second game, will be looking out for a new Valcon bike game.

For the price this is good.

good luck in your search.

This game just blew my mind! I used to play moto gp 07 but after getting moto gp 08 and realizing how bad it was I sold that game. The I downloaded the demo of moto gp 09/10 and it was the worse motorcycle game ever. The handling of the bike, physics and the way the bike feels all was wrong. Then I got the chance to try this game. This game is awesome and it is worth buying. Try simulation mode, it may be difficult at first but once you get it it will be very fun. Whatever you do, do NOT get moto gp 'cause it suuuucks. just read the review here at amazon.

Until THQ makes moto gp game, I suggest you don't buy it. The developers that make it right now don't know crap about motorcycles and they don't know what they are doing.

P.S I don't have an amazon verified purchase 'cause a friend bought it for me in United States. I am from El Salvador.

I looked at all the reviews for motorcycle racing games and chose this one.

What I like is the difference between using different bikes. Ducati is smooth and predicatable while Aprilia's is fast but harder to control. The engine noises and power bands are right on also. As a novice gamer who doesn't spend a lot of time playing this game will last a long time. I probably won't buy another motorcycle game to compare it to but the fact this game from 2009 is still around and selling says something about it. The only improvement would be to put this years riders and bikes into the game.

Good unit. A bargain. A required accessory for anyone with an extensive/elaborate home theatre system. Good to have on hand when you run out of digital audio optical inputs on your receiver. Note: in the review section for this product, the amazon computer categorized this item as a "game", and asked me for the number of stars for "how much fun is this game?", and then for the number of stars for "how would you rate this game overall?". The system did not allow any way to proceed without assigning stars. I thus gave the "fun" category 0 stars, and the "overall" category 5 stars... the PRODUCT deserves it.

I got this to run my DirecTV, XBox and PS3 into my surround sound. It works exactly as it's supposed. The 3rd port is a little picky so you have to have the switch lined up perfectly. I'm not complaining as this is much easier than switching cords by hand behind the surround system. The cords that came with it seem to be good quality and I haven't noticed any less quality of sound.

The switch locks into place and is easy to use. The 4 digital optical cables that came with it are too short and look cheap, but I didn't get this for the cables I used BlueRigger cables instead.

Not the highest quality but given the price I have no real complaints. One of the cables did not work but then again one cable would have cost more than the whole setup. It is working fine so I am OK with the package. Cost to value is goodoverall.
