To be fair this game and its earlier ones were made to bring a more realistic feeling to a WW2 shooter. It is not your typical shooter where you storm through a stage killing enemies by the 100's. You play as a Srg and have to command your squads around to cover one another and flank. The game has great graphics, a good AI, awesome sound effects and a even better story that will challenge and give you many hours of strategic combat. Please understand that most people knock this game because they are used to and I guess are not bored of your average shooter. If you are tired of typical shooters with no strategy whatsoever then I bet you will love this game. Also note that this game focuses alot more on single player then online.

Pros:

Emphasis on tactics (flanking the enemy is important). Team concept.

Graphics are very good. They are not the best that the PS3 has to offer, but very good. Excellent slo-motion effects.

Some historical relevance using a fictional squad within the US Army's 101st Airborne Division.

Good storyline.

Cons:

Audio and visual bugs (minus 1 star overall).

Online play is available, but not great. No emphasis on team concept online.

Linear play.

Finding a sniper rifle or using standard rifles can make it somewhat easy to pick off the enemy in each mission.

Rambos need not apply for this title. Running and gunning, while possible, makes the game more difficult to play.

At first I was nervous about having to use teamwork to advance in a game, since I'm used to go-it-alone type games, but this teamwork makes for a good game. I die a tremendous amount of times, but I still continue because it's all about strategy, but not to the extremely frustrating point. Graphics are good, gameplay is good and action is intense. Bottom line is that it is doable. Might take many attempts, but it's fun while you try. Can't go wrong with this title especially since the price has been falling. Enjoy.

First of all, this is NOT a run-and-gun FPS. Actually, it's a TPS (Third-person-shooter). Anyway, this requires a more slow and methodical play style than your Halo or Resistance type of shooter.

On-line play is OK, but the poor controls really kill the fun.

The Good:

Very good cut-scenes. Helps move the story along. And there IS a story, which some may not care about. For me, it kept things more interesting. And despite what someone claimed earlier, you CAN skip the cut-scenes.

Things to do other than just killing Nazis. You've got "Recon Sites" you can visit, which unlock some historical facts about Operation Market Garden. You also have "Kilroys" to find.

Squad mechanics is done fairly well. It has its problems, but nothing major.

Makes you think about the battlefield and how to use cover/flanking/etc.

The Bad

Third Person Shooter. Some people like that, some don't care. I generally don't like TPS, because you always end up at some point not being able to look in the direction you want to look. It's just a problem with TPS in general (the worst was an older Metal Gear game I played on Xbox... the only game I've ever returned).

Poor choice of controls. Why does each game designer insist on using different control layouts than everyone else? Half the games I've played use R1 for primary fire, while the other half use R2. WHY???

No ability to customize controls (related to above). Come on now! This is a sore point for me. It seems fewer and fewer games allow any type of customization of the controls, yet each one has its own idea of which button should do what. Why do I have to re-learn which trigger is primary fire each time I play a different game??? VERY BAD!!!

In Realistic difficulty, you don't have any cross-hairs. OK, sounds "realistic", except if you're dug in behind cover and pop out to shoot, since this is a TPS, you can't see where you're aiming!!! Did anyone actually play-test this thing???

Can't pick up grenades from bodies.

No jumping.

No crawling or prone position.

No melee. All the pics show you have this nasty combat knife, but you can't actually use it???

Poor AI. Your squads don't use very good judgement about using cover to get to where you want them. You sometimes have to micro-manage their route, or they'll run in front of some cover and get killed.

In Realistic mode, you have no idea how many magazines you're carrying. I understand you may not know how many bullets are left in a magazine, but surely you know if you only have one left vs 10 left.

No consistency about what objects you can vault over and which you can't.

Related to above, when running, bumping into the smallest of obstacles brings you to a complete halt. I've gotten killed numerous times when I was trying to run to cover but nicked the corner of some piece of wood or something, coming to a complete halt. You also can't really turn very well while running.

There's more, but I don't want to seem like I'm bashing the game.

Overall, I enjoyed the game (except in Realistic mode, due to the myriad of interface and control flaws). If you can pick it up for under $15 or $20, I recommend it.

I really enjoyed this game. I don't spend much time on the PS3, but this is the best game I have bought so far. I didn't really rate COD World At War, it felt rushed and basic, but I loved COD4 Modern Warfare. Although this is a different style of play, I think this game surpasses COD4 due to the need to think about the game, not just run and gun. The graphics are great, the story is good, the gameplay could be improved by more involvement in picking your teams specialities and your own weapons, but I would still rate this a 5!

I've had one of the original xfps adapters for using a dualshock 2 on the 360 and this is the second I've purchased to use mouse and keyboard on the ps3. If you're big on input lag, there's a slight bit of input lag but if you're playing quick-twitch shooters like call of duty, you'll barely notice it. Good product, a little overpriced but their isn't any other substitues out there. Mouse is also a nice bonus.

This is a really good quality cable, 10ft long for both component av cable and the usb cable. The wire is pretty strong, it won't break or damage at all by normal use. most component cable says can support 1080i but this one can support full hd at 1080p. I don't know it is true or not. I only have a 720p hd tv and it works pretty good. I believe this cable pack worth 40~50 bucks. First I went to target and they ask for $70 which is too much. Then I checked amazon which ask only $30, no tax, free shipping. Great deal.

Purchased this with an 80 GB PS3 and was impressed with the build quality. The cord length was plentiful, but not too much and the included USB cable was very long perfect for the times when the controller battery needs recharging and you are sitting far from the TV.

If for some reason you cannot use hdmi (which you should) these are nice quality cables. Remember you do not need these for component , any cheap component cable will work so do not over pay for these...

Also, if you use these cables your normal dvd's will NOT up convert to 720 or 1080 , fine for games but the analog hole will not allow copyrighted movies to upconvert....

My cheap Samsung 40inch LCD TV with it's single HDMI port got busted. So having no choice other than either spending lots of $$$ repairing the port or buying a new tv I decided to try out this cable since the component ports were still fine. I tried my old PS2 component cables but the picture looked aweful. I wasn't sure if it was just because the component cables were orginally for a PS2. So I was hesitant to spend any more money on another set of components. Luckily I saw the cables were on sale for only $10. Pros

Cons

$150 is spendy for a peripheral.

Takes up quite a bit of space.

Must be mounted on a table or smooth surface.

Can't adjust the physical resistance of the stick and throttle. The resistance might be too stiff for some.

Flight simulators are a bit of a niche category on consoles and games will be limited.

The HORI PlayStation 3 Flight Stick 3 is by far of the best flight stick I've ever owned across both PC and consoles. It's amazingly well built, realistically designed, responsive and versatile. I've used it consistently on the following games without no issues; IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X 2, Air Conflicts and Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. If you're a big fan of flight simulators or air combat games then this is the peripheral for you. If you can stomach the $150 price tag, have the table/desk space for set up and some great flight simulator games to go along with it then you'll be happily taking down those enemy planes in no time.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Once you start using the Flight Stick 3 to play games such as Ace Combat: Assault Horizon playing the same game with the traditional PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controller (Black) seems sad and pathetic.

I thought it might not be as much fun using the flight stick because you can't literally hold it in your hand like you do with the traditional controller, but I had no problem using this set on the coffee table in my living room.

It was not difficult to get the hang of using the Flight Stick 3. In fact, I found I have better control of the velocity and aiming than I do with the Dual Shock. For the first time, I was really able to get as close as I wanted to the planes I was chasing and keep the machine gun firing right up their tails. Besides the ability to change the settings of which button does what in your game software, the controller has some switches which make customizing your Flight Stick's sensitivity and function intuitive and easy even mid-game. And I especially like the addition of single buttons which press both L2/R2 and L1/R1 because this makes playing Ace Combat a lot more fun with the ease of performing counter-maneuvers and entering dogfight mode on those split second opportunities that I would miss with the Dual Shock.

Not just as a controller, but as a replica as well, the purely decorative features which are meant to give you the look and feel of real aircraft controls add to the pleasure of owning this device. Rather than simply add pieces of plastic that look like the additional controls that you wouldn't use in a video game, the dials actually move. There is very nice attention to detail here.

Though I only just received this flight stick, I have had a couple of others in the past which were flimsy and uncomfortable, and wouldn't stand up to heavy use over a long period. No such problems with the Flight Stick 3.

Lastly, it's important to note that this controller does give you the vibration feel of other Playstation Dual Shock controller, though not so strongly that it might cause your problems with comfort and control. The controller wont dance on the table if you let go of it from the vibrations. The fairly hefty weight of this set also contributes to its feel of quality and reality.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program This is a fantastic flight stick made by Hori. I tried this out with After Burner, Hawx, Ace Comabt, and IL-2. The best response I got was playing a non flight sim like After Burner. When playing sim games, the stick felt a bit too stiff and I couldn't respond as quick as I would have liked. It probably takes some breaking in before it will feel perfect, but I have been playing with the PS controller so long that the flight stick seemed harder for me to control the aircrafts.

The quality of the stick is amazing, and replicates a real flying stick nicely. I took flying lessons before (only a few hours away from getting my private license) and have played flight sims with a yoke and rudders and I always felt those gave the best experience to flying. However, for air combat, a flight stick is more what a pilot would use. I had no problem with the stick moving once mounted on my glass top coffee table. You can switch up the buttons on the fly. Most of the games I tried it on did not have the Hori on as a default, but had Thrustmaster. If I could get an attachment for the rudders so I could use my feet to control the plane better, I think the experience would be even better.

It's a bit pricey, but if you are an enthusiast, you will love it. Hori did a good job with the quality of this controller. I would give it 5 stars if I was able to adjust the stiffness. All in all, I recommend this to all flying enthusiast. Others also mentioned it is PC compatible so that is a plus and might justify it's price tag for some.

I bought this stick for my PS3 because I have a seat setup that I use for GT5 and I wanted to adapt that to have a real cockpit feel. This stick seemed to be the perfect option. I'm new to flight games so I wasn't sure what to expect. As others have noted, this stick looks and feels very real. There is a spacer that can be put on the stick if you have a smaller hand. The cable between the two units is plenty long so I was able to place the throttle and stick where I was most comfortable. The buttons on the throttle and stick are in the perfect locations I especially like the thumb button on the stick. I would typically use that one for machine guns and would map the trigger button to the rockets/cannons. For some reason, the trigger button doesn't seem to automatically map to anything that shoots straight out of the box. The vibration on the stick really adds to the feel of the game without disrupting it. I don't know if the suction cups are sufficient I used screws in place of the cups to lock both the throttle and stick down.

So, that is all the good stuff. Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, the stick is very stiff to move. Too stiff for me and there is no way to adjust it. Even with the sensitivity adjustments, I found it really difficult to shoot anything. Landings were also especially difficult. In addition to the stiffness, there is a big, and I do mean big, dead zone in the middle. The sensitivity switch doesn't seem to help with this. I would be flying in a straight line and I could move the stick around in a fairly large circle with no effect on the plane. This coupled with the stiffness of the stick made it very difficult for me to use. I used this stick with three games Blazing Angels 2, IL-2 Birds of Prey, and HAWX 2. I had the best results with Blazing Angels however several times in the game when I would shoot at something, the screen would jump in and out of `external view' ( the view that gives a look at the entire scene externally rather than from the plane) when I pulled the trigger, making it really hard to shoot anything. Sometimes when I would shoot, it would jump to external view and stay there and I would have to restart from the latest checkpoint to get out of that mode. I tried pressing every button on the stick and throttle to get out of that mode but it just would not. I tried several different configurations in the game setup and couldn't make this behavior stop. In IL-2, I couldn't get out of the training sessions since they all required me to exercise a button (fire a weapon, look around, enhanced target view, etc.) that I couldn't get the stick or throttle to do. There may be a configuration way to get that to work but after trying several of them, I gave up. For HAWX 2, I tried all the setups and finally got the last one to work (don't remember the name of the configuration but it was the last one in the list). I may have been able to get the other ones to work as expected by remapping all of the buttons on the stick and throttle (as well as the axis and throttle itself) to locations supported by that configuration but that's just too much work. As it was,when I got to the third or fourth mission where I had to use my cannons to shoot planes in a canyon (the enemy planes would just use their flares to decoy the missles) I couldn't get any of the buttons to fire the cannons. This was weird since I did make it through the training missions and I think I fired cannons there. I also found landing extremely difficult with this stick because of the stiffness combined with the large dead zone.

Anyway, these were my experiences. Although I spent a lot of time trying to get the configurations to work, adjusting the sensitivities and using various remappings, I ultimately found this stick just too difficult for me to use. Everyone else has given this stick 5 stars so maybe I'm doing something (or several somethings) wrong but it just wasn't worth it to me to spend endless hours figuring it out. In frustration, I went to a local store in town and played with the different brands of sticks they had on display (they didn't have this one). All of them were so much easier to both fly and aim/shoot (smaller dead zone, much less and/or adjustable stiffness) that I can't understand why this one was made this way.The funny thing is that the throttle does have a `friction' adjustment but the stick does not! I didn't try any technical support so I can't comment on whether they could have helped or not. Maybe they could have with the game configurations and maybe even the dead zone but I'm sure nothing can be done about the stiffness. This stick could have been so much better.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm embarrassed, as usual, when I find myself in such august company as the previous reviewers, since they are obviously dedicated gamers with vast experience with flight sticks. I would suggest you also read their reviews and you will undoubtedly find what you want to know about the Hori PS3 stick. I am, however, not entirely without a personal perspective on this neat controller, so I would like to just put down what I can tell you, for what it is worth. I hope I add even one little bit of information that is new and helpful.

Right out of the box, you have the main stick, the throttle, 8 suction cups, grip pad, and the instruction manual. I think it is obvious from the pictures of the Hori flight stick that you have an independent joystick and throttle, and you may have heard of this as being HOTAS, or Hands on Throttle and Stick. What that means is that it simulates real life and enables the pilot (you) to control all the plane functions without removing your hands from the stick or throttle.

One of the first things I noticed was how substantial this controller feels. Heavy, unbreakable. It does take up a good bit of space on a flat surface, so I don't leave it set up all the time. But it isn't like it's difficult to pull out and stick down. There is extra rubber on the throttle to improve your grip, which you know you need when you're hot on the tail of another plane....or there's one about to fly up your pipe. Okay, so that's comfort and control and realism.

As for customizing the control, all the buttons are remappable. The torque load on the throttle can be readjusted for rumble or vibration to enhance the sense of realism. You can quickly change between three preset throttle/rudder control responses with a single switch. I haven't even begun to explore all the ways the control can be customized to my personal style and touch.

I like using the flight stick so much more than my original PS3 controller, but the price still makes me wince. I think, though, if you want a flight stick you want a good one, right? Nothing is worse than struggling with an inferior controller. So in that sense it is definitely worth it.

The controller works very well. I bought the controller because it was super cheap but it actually performs great. The d-pad sticks out nicely and makes it easier for me to pull off moves. The buttons have a nice clicky feel to them. I used this controller to play street fighter 4 and I can consistently pull off dragonpunch motions and 360's no problem. The cord on it is very long so you probably wont be accidentally pulling this controller out of its socket. The controller feels extremely light. It's almost feels as if the only weight is from the cord itself.

The only problems I have with it are that the shoulder buttons don't have that clicky feeling like the face buttons and the d-pad is a bit smaller than the area it is in so it will move around a bit. None of these problems affect gameplay though. This is not a very ergonomically designed controller as you can tell from its images. There is a groove in the back so they did try to make it more comfy. This doesnt bother me though as i am used to super nes controllers but its something to think about.

I don't have a ps3. I'm using this controller on my PC. I use windows XP and I got it to run perfectly by installing the sixaxis drivers and then using motionjoy. If you don't install these things then it just wont work on your PC. I also read that it wont work on 64-bit systems but I haven't tested that out so just research it on google if you have that type of OS.

Some reviews bash this controller but I don't think its bad at all. It could just be that I'm used to the old NES blocky designed controllers though. I may have developed some cramping immunity in my hands over all the years of gaming on the NES. So if you feel you cramp easily it may not be for you.

If you're looking to get this to play fighting games, don't get your hopes up. The dpad is not very good because you can press directly down on the center of it, which makes full circular motions hard to do and generally throws off your inputs. It might be possible to replace the dpad with a Super Nintendo dpad, seeing as how similar they are. The controller feels sturdy but lightweight. The face buttons, shoulder buttons, start/select/"DG" buttons work fine. It's really just the dpad that I have gripes with. The DG button is the same as the PS button on Sony's controllers. It has a quadrant of lights that indicate which port it is assigned to, just like on the Xbox 360 controllers. Works fine with PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. For PS2 games (backwards-compatible PS3 owners only), you have to press the DG button after launching the game to re-sync the controller, just like on Sony's controllers. The usb cable is quite lengthy. I tried it out on my computer (Windows Vista Home 32-bit) and while it is recognized as a PS3 controller, none of the buttons do anything.

I would not get this to play fighting games. Did they even try out the dpad before releasing it as a "fighter pad"?

Construction is pretty good, feels good. Button sensitivity was a little funny. It's a pretty good controller for an easy going side scrolling arcade game, but because of the non-ergonomic shape, playing a button mashing game like Soul Calibur will have your hands cramping fast.

I have no problem with this at all. I don't need the analog stick for the games I play. And if I do, I will just use the official PlayStation 3 controller.

I've wanted an old-school controller for my emulators that would work equally well with SNES and Genesis games. I FOUND IT!

This thing is fantastic. I love it and use it on my Ouya and PC to play emulators. i always thought the SNES controller was nearly perfect in regards to comfort and button placement and this controller mimics it very well.

My only gripe is that the D-pad can be depressed in the center of the +, which can cause weird inputs you didn't intend to have happen. If they had limited it to the four Up, Down, Left, Right, I think this would be a solid 5 star controller.

This stick is my first stick needless to say I wasn't too great at first. The over all stick itself is really small, which can be uncomfortable for extended periods of game-play. At first I hated this stick because the directions wouldn't respond correctly, I know nothing about modding sticks so I thought I would have to get a new one. I decided to try it on all 3 platforms it was compatible with, same result till it was used for AT LEAST an hour. If you buy this stick, be warned if the joystick is unresponsive it'll fix itself just play through.

For those of you wondering YES on a pc the stick is POV not analogue, I recommend getting a program called Xpadder for use with PCs that way you can just assign the buttons to the keyboard controls for what ever game you're playing (I play touhou a lot so I had to get Xpadder to use this stick for my touhou games).

You may be like me and if this is your first stick, don't be discouraged by how much harder it is to play at first because you'll get better with it as time goes on. I bought this for it's cheap price I'm happy with it for now but I do intend on getting a different one.

Here's one of my videos of me playing my MUGEN with this stick , as you can see it works really well. There's other videos on my channel before that one of me using my keyboard to play by comparing them you'll see that you can get as good with this stick as you are with whatever playing style you're used to.

The button arrangement fits for how small it is, Standard SF controls are square = LP, triangle = MP, R1 = HP (the row right below is the kicks). I recommend still using those instead of trying a different set up. All in all worth it.

This is a decent stick for the price. The joystick itself is somewhat flimsy, but it works. The whole unit works, however it is loud and clicky, but that's not a big deal. While it's not the best stick out there, it does a decent job. Overall a decent product.

There's two things that would make this stick "great": 1) it needs more weight to hold it down 2) the stick & switches are way too loud. I own a Hori Fighting Stick 3 stick that is superior to this stick. For the price, it's a decent stick. For all you modders out there, it's extremely difficult to mod. Everything is glued to the switches.

I'm glad this year's Tiger game is moving away from the golfer himself, and not because of his image. Last year's Tiger Legacy mode faltered, so in its place Tiger 14 offers the Legends of the Majors mode that lets you play through the history of the sport itself instead of just Tiger's career. It's an effective approach, especially when coupled with a few small changes that tighten the overall experience.

I'm not a golf history buff, but Legends of the Majors mode is a fun way to earn coins that incorporates your Career mode golfer by having them face off against the sport's greats at certain intervals. The mode also uses era-specific equipment, which isn't as interesting.

This year the all-important coins, which are used to buy stat-boosting pins, are more useful since you can spend them to level up your golfer. Levels grant you attribute points and equipment for a lot less than it takes to buy a pin pack.

The expansion of the online options gives you more ways to earn coins. The Country Clubs format lets you take in more players, who can contribute to the club's status in more ways (including a variety of tourneys and leaderboards). The clubs also feature expanded voice chat, and a new Club Loyalty Bonus that gives you coins for members playing every day.

The action on the course remains largely the same from last year, except for the new swing arcs. Like changing your club tuning, fiddling with your swing arc has its advantages. This lets you change the flight characteristics of your ball, including your power, control, and how the wind affects your shot.

Even though Tiger 14 has a similar setup as Tiger 13, I had more fun with the newer game because its constituent parts mesh better. For a golfer, getting everything in synch is important.

The Edge

Like last year, if you absolutely have to have motion controls, I suggest you go with the Move. Putting in particular is harder with the Move, but it's also more accurate in general over Xbox 360's Kinect. The Kinect motion controls are dumbed down to the point where the game does a lot of the work for you. For instance, a half swing on the Kinect will often be read as a full-powered shot. This defeats the purpose of using motion controls for a more lifelike feel.

I was eagerly waiting for this edition. I shouldn't have been so eager. While it is admittedly fun to play, it's graphics creators have really delivered a bummer. Every year this series has looked better and better. More realistic, more color saturation has been the motto. However, and this is a big however, Tiger Woods 14 looks lousy. The color saturation is gone. The realism of the courses is gone. What we are left with is a dim picture devoid of crispness. I have a large LED set to play it on and I swear I can't see the stupid ball when it lands on the fairways or the greens. BAD!!!!!!! Who was asleep during the creation of the monstrosity? Where is the color, where is the sharpness, where is the real look that has been present the last few years?

One other thing. If you thought that this was a slow game to load from one fairway to another, you ain't seen nothing yet with Tiger Woods 14 You can almost take a nap with the length of time it takes to go from one green to the next tee. Totally unforgiveable !

Where is the 1/2 star? I have played Tiger Woods by EA Sports starting with '9'. The game improved each year until '13'. each shot was like hitting from the fairway with no penalty for being in the rough or sand. I waited anxiously for '14' and am somewhat disappointed. While the unpunished lie has been fixed, other problems were created. When playing online, your opponents ball trail cannot be turned off (EA sports said this was an enhancement). the follow cam that allowed you to see where your opponent's ball landed is positioned behind the golfer and cannot be changed. you only see where your opponent landed on the next shot. you only get to observe about half of your opponents shots you can hear all of them half of them your opponent is just standing by his ball. when your opponent putts, his ball never moves you see a ball trail that sometimes you cannot tell if the putt is made or not. the evolution of this game is going backwards. i must say the graphics are good but hard to enjoy when your frustrated. patches or options are needed for those people who play the game with 4 or less players. EA sports tech support said these enhancements where made so 10 people can hit all at the same time and you can watch all of the ball flights. I ask who would want to as you do not know who made what shot. bring back the follow cam and turn off ball trails and i might buy '15'

The game itself is okay. Not great, but okay. Visuals and controls are great. Courses are beautiful and challenging. EA finds ways to ruin the joy at any opportunity provided. You can't play the whole tour, some courses are DLC only with ridiculously high prices. The career mode freezes repeatedly and EA is relentless in trying to get you to spend more money on $60 game it refuses to provide the value you would expect to receive in the first place.

It is a bull...t that to pay $60 for a game and not be able to compete in all of the events on the pga tour because many courses arent included. Had I known that, I would have spent the extra money for the historic edition. Im part way through my first season and have had to skip 5 events because I dont have the course. Courses cost anywhere from $4-$7 each. I can upgrade to Historic edition in game for $19 but when I sell the game, I will only be selling the standard version and will be out the $19. The historic edition only gives you 5 extra courses. Then there are still 14 more courses that you dont have. You can buy them one at a time or buy the pack for $40. So to get all the courses, buy the historic editon for $70 then $40 for the upgrades. $110 for a fully functioning video game is the dumbest thing Ive ever heard of.

I knew the regular version didnt have all of the courses but I assumed it had all of them that I needed to play a full tour schedule.

I like the gameplay but there is very little penalty for hitting out of the sand or rough at the lower difficulty levels but I havent tried on the highest levels yet. Not very realistic though being able to hit out of the sand as easy as you can hit off of the fairway anywhere within 100 yds of the green.

I gave it 1 star to get peoples attention but I would reccomend the game, be aware of what you are missing.

There hasn't been a game in quite some time that I thought was terrible, pretty much across the board, but 'Iron Man' managed to hit it.

From terribly repetitive levels with re-spawning enemies, to it unnatural flight controls and a bad targeting system; 'Iron Man' manages to fail at damn-near everything it tries to do. This is the best-example of every criticism of a "movie game" I've ever seen.

Sure, each level in the 'Iron Man' world is huge and gives a good impression of NOT being in a fish-bowl like some other games do. At the same time however, the graphics to that world are flat-out disgusting. In my opinion, for what is supposed to be a next-gen game, 'Iron Man' may be the worst-looking yet.

The ability to upgrade your armor is a nice new spin, but, unfortunately, just can't overcome the fact that everything else is going so completely wrong. Even the voice acting is lousy. Robert Downey Jr and Terrance Howard reprise their film roles and you can almost hear the indifference (or distain) in their voices. It's almost as if they realize how bad this is and want to get out as fast as possible.

To summarize ... the movie is absolutely terrific and gets my highest praise and recommendation. Take whatever you would have spent on the game and go see the movie again. For the REALLY curious, the (equally bad)demo is available on both xBox Live and The Playstation Network for free. Don't let this waste of a game ruin the film's experience for you by buying it ...

I rented Iron Man and gave it a test run, since the sticker price seemed a little steep. After playing for a few hours, I found myself wondering how a bug-ridden game like this ever got past beta testing.

I've listed the top offending errors below:

(1) Environmental errors: There was a section in the first level where I moved behind a fence. I came to the end of the fence but couldn't move past it, even though nothing was blocking my path. I had to loop all the way back and go around. This is a pretty basic error, and yet quality testing missed it not a good sign.

(2) Enemy detection errors: I was fighting a slew of enemies on the second level and before I could advance further, I had to eliminate all the ground troops. There was one left on my radar and I flew down to find he was....under the concrete. Yes, this enemy somehow fell UNDER THE CONCRETE. I had to reset and start the level all over again.

(3) Poor targeting system: The only way I could shoot a target is if the crosshairs were centered on an enemy at that specific moment. That means if Iron Man was running, flying, or dodging, it's pretty likely that my laser blasts or missiles would miss the target.

(4) Hyper-sensitive flight system: The flight controls operate on a hair trigger. If I pressed the hover button too hard, Iron Man shot straight up. If I pressed the hover button too lightly, he dropped like a stone. When I hit the flight button, Iron Man shot forward at Ludicrous Speed and I couldn't slow down. At all.

In a nutshell, I spent most of my game time flying around at breakneck speed with little control, trying not to slam into buildings, attempting to hit multiple enemies with a poor weapons system, while trying to break a time limit.

There's absolutely no justification to pay the asking price for this game. We, as video game consumers, deserve better.

This game was beyond disapointment. Rather than a verbose explanation I'll just give you a numbered list to save some time for me and you:

1.) Graphics are pitiful and choppy

2.) Flight controls are not intuitive and difficult to master as best.

3.) Targeting and firing weapons is awkward.

4.) Controls are not very responsive at times and over sensitive at other times without even adjusting them.

5.) Levels drag on for ages when I just want to be done playing. This is mainly because their tends to be the same shock at the end of every level . . . "Oh no! Their using Stark Industries Tech against me . . . again"

I originally gave the game 2 stars and said "Perhaps the more I play I will find something I like, but so far the best thing about this game is the cover." Well, I've played more because there was one reviewer who claimed that it got better the more you played. I respectfully disagree with that review and have changed my review to 1 star after more play. This game is awful!

I have had it with this game. I bought it to have fun and just getting started is a pain in the neck. Every time I open the game and try to continue gameplay, it resets to the beginning. I know it's because I don't meet the time objectives, but give me a break. This was supposed to be fun. It's not. My copy will be on eBay later today.

First thing, this review and score is based on what I paid. The game is worth about $15. For that price, you'll have a good time! First thing I had to do once I started flying was set the motion detection all the way down in the options menu. That helped a bunch.

For the most part you fly all over the place shooting the crap out of everything. There is an auto lock on the firing, which makes the game easier. Flying is a tad difficult to get used to, so the auto lock makes it easier to concentrate on the flying.

I'd recommend it for a low price. Nothing over $17!

*I'd give it 4 stars, but the voice over with Stark while he has the mask on is almost unbearable. Dumb lines with a terrible voice.

Contrary to earlier reviews, it DOES work with CoD4. The problem that it has is connecting to the PS3 when a game is currently running. You need to connect it using the Audio Device Settings page on the PS3 before starting up the game. Not ideal, but it works. The problem is that if you disconnect during a game ("mute" functionality doesn't seem to work, so you have to disconnect and reconnect), you have to quit the game to start it back up again.

Additionally, there's too much feedback in the volume up/down buttons the click is so loud that it triggers the mic every time.

Here's the reason it got the stars that it did -it's comfortable, light, and the clarity is good. Not spectacular, but it definitely serves its purpose well.

That said, I just bought the Jabra JX10 for my phone, and it allows pairing to two different devices simultaneously. So I'll be using that from now on.

Having bought the Madcatz in June of '08 when I picked up the PS3 MGS4 bundle, I must say, the headset is better than I expected. I honestly am not sure what people are saying about bad battery life, I can keep it charged for a week or two at a time, then use it for a good solid 8-9 hours without worry, that's even a year later. Fully charging the bluetooth takes about 3-4 hours, tops on my Playstation 3, and when I'm using it, as said, it can hold the charge for 8-9 hours while in use, I've been surprised at how long it'll last during gameplay. And while not in use, as stated, it lasts a week or so before it needs a charge. Personally, I'm very satisfied with the headset, and it works like any bluetooth would.

The only reason it has a four star rating, instead of the 5 star I think it needs, is sound quality isn't always great, and it picks up sounds quite easily around the home, making it a tad annoying for those listening to me, though I haven't heard any major complaints on what's being picked up, it can pick up the TV despite sitting a good 10-15 feet away from it on a fairly medium volume. Unfortunately, the sound quality isn't all that amazing on the receiver end, making it sometimes hard to understand what others are saying, but not hard enough I don't love my bluetooth headset.

The setting up of the bluetooth when I got it was simple, it stays connected while on the other side of my apartment, at least a good 25 feet, though I haven't tested further distances, it gets a bit of static between two walls but I can still understand what others are saying, and the volume control is negligible, at best, as the differences aren't totally clear, so the highest and lowest settings don't seem much different if at all. Having had the product for a year now, there is only one problem I have with the headset: Entering it's second year of use, sometimes it won't warn you when the battery is dying, often you'll hear a series of beeps 2-3 minutes before it dies, randomly the beeps will not come, making the death of the battery a surprising affair.

Overall, I've never been a fan of Madcatz and their stuff, but their quality has increased to untold levels with their headset, it's comfortable for extended play, I hardly worry about battery level before play unless it's been a while since it's been plugged up, and it makes gaming cordless, so I can grab a snack or drink while respawning without removing and returning my headset to my head.

Would I recommend this to my friends and strangers? Yes. Would I guarantee the same experience of greatness I have? No. Unfortunately while my product was amazing, and I give it high marks, I can't guarantee everyone the same great experience. Nevertheless, if it were to break, I'd definitely buy an exact replacement. My faith in Madcatz is slowly restored with the bluetooth headset.

I'd like to add that I am an avid gamer, and this bluetooth works with ALL my games: Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty: World at War, Resistance, Resistance 2, Burnout Paradise, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Motorstorm, Metal Gear Online, every online game I own I can use this bluetooth with flawlessly. Connecting the bluetooth outside of a game is simple: head to the accessory settings, connect from the menu while the bluetooth is on. Contrary to what I've read, it works IN and OUT of the game as well, I can connect while loading the game, while in a lobby of a game, while playing a game, and yes, I have tested all my games multiple times. It works exactly as it should.

I'm not saying everyone else is a liar, or that they are anti-madcatz (though I admit I used to be), but sometimes people may have trouble where others do not. This is only my own review and opinion of the product, and while I disagree with many of the negative reviews, I for one vouch for this product, and I am neither a professional review, nor paid by Madcatz to review this, though if they wished to pay me for such reviews, I would be accepting of their money.

All in all, give it a chance, let the naysayers do their thing but keep informed, if you're going to buy it, make sure you can return it in case you are an unlucky consumer who seems to have a thousand problems. I might just be lucky, but I can safely say that even a year later, I'm not having issues and it works where others say it doesn't.

I couldn't agree more with most of the other reviews. This is advertised to work with the PS3, and it barely works with it. I bought it because I thought it was designed for use with the PS3. I was sadly mistaken.

Here is a list of my biggest complaints:

1. Connecting to the PS3 was pretty easy, but the sound quality was poor, and many times I would start a game, it would lose connectivity to the PS3 once I was in the game. The only way to reconnect would be to exit the game and connect it again through the Audie Device Settings. Anyone with a PS3 knows what a pain this is.

2. There is no ear piece and it lays over your ear, so to avoid feedback on the PS3 you had to turn the volume down to the lowest setting and then you could barely hear what anyone was saying.

3. This did work best with my cell phone, but everyone I talked to complained that there was an echo. Again, I had to turn down the volume to the lowest setting to avoid the echo. When I was driving in my car, it had to be almost completely silent to hear anything or I had to press the ear piece against my ear to hear the caller. This completely ruins the thought of "hands free".

In summary, avoid this at all costs. My friend brought over a Plantronic Voyager 510, and it was like night and day. It worked perfectly with the PS3. I'll be purchasing the Plantronic shortly. Avoid the Mad Catz at all cost.
