Bigger map than the offered maps (Kino and 5) and it gets intense pretty quickly. I noticed that if someone is on the far end of the map opposite where I am, if I don't make my way to them immediately, there is little chance of saving them. So it's better to stick together unless you can hold your own. I love the weapon where the zombies are pulled into a sort of space portal. That really helps in the later rounds. Great map pack. A lot of fun. I can finally stop playing Kino for a while now.

I have bought four Mad Catz officially licensed Street Fighter 4 Fightpads. Of those, One needed to be opened and cleaned the first night or two of use due to inputs going haywire, another had to be cleaned twice in rapid succession(first time was soon after unpackaging,) the third flat out DIDN'T FUNCTION AT ALL straight out of the package, and the fourth was a replacement for the third, which I decided to sell without opening.

As for their sticks, I bought a Marvel vs Capcom Tournament Edition stick straight from Mad Catz's online shop, which not only would get "stuck" in random positions periodically even though the stick was centered physically, but would be recognized by the PS3 about half the times I plugged it in(again, this was a brand new item straight out of the box.) The Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick, however, which isn't even TE "quality" hasn't had an issue yet--wobbly buttons, but very functional.

After the MVC3 stick issue, I decided that I had had enough, and am very pleased with Hori's new stick. No input issues, higher-quality plastic casing, a lighter weight without being too light to stay in place, and slightly less sensitive but still responsive buttons make this the stick I will recommend to others from now on. I also encourage anyone unsure about the benefits of a square gate to look them up--it really pays to have an equal amount of area within the stick's range register for diagonals as it does for the four "cardinal" directions(especially for shoryuken motions and other ones that end in a diagonal,) and the difficulty of doing 360 motions and so on is easy to get over with just a bit of practice and a gentle touch for maximum precision in your execution--I'm sure there's a reason so many Japanese pros prefer them, and in turn a respected Japanese company like Hori exclusively uses square gates as well.

I'm far from being a conspiracy nut, but I'm amazed that Mad Catz is so widely preferred by most pro players I watch clips of, and wonder if they're not deliberately making mostly shoddy products but making a few good ones for the pros that constantly endorse their sticks in videos and by using them in tournaments. While it's only anecdotal on my part, it seems likely that rather than a coincidence, my bad luck with four out of five Mad Catz products is a result of bad design, bad Quality Assurance, or both. It would also explain why Hori suddenly yanked the licensing for both UMVC3 and Blazblue for their most recently-produced sticks.

This stick is easier to handle, more reliable, and even significantly cheaper that what Mad Catz offers. Give it a try--I'm sure you'll be glad you did!

I bought this stick because my Madcatz TE round 2 broke. I had that stick 9 months, so less than a year and the joystick stopped working. Sure I could fix it, but the parts to completely fix the whole thing would cost me around $75. Not being familiar with my own skill in fixing it, I figured I would buy a new stick. But this time I opted for this one. And let me tell you, my gaming experience in SSF4AE is better. The hand rest that this Hori stick has is great.

People complain about the start button and accidentally hitting it confound me. Are you all mashing so frantically in your fighting games? If you have precise and controlled button hitting you wouldn't hit the start button. I never once accidentally hit it.

I even modded this stick to insert button plugs in the 2 furthest buttons on the top and bottom row, so that gives me and extra inch of space between my right hand and the start button.

Speaking of modding, when I opened up the case the wires going to the buttons are WAY easier to disconnect than on my TE. I was literally pulling teeth when I was changing out buttons on my TE. But don't get me wrong, the wires to the buttons on the Hori are secure so there's no need to worry that because they come off easily with needles nose pliers that they are in any way unsecure.

This stick is light weight and wide. It has the perfect feel. Plus it has two easy grip handles on the side.

Nothing against Madcatz. I'm just going to keep that stick and fix it as a backup.

I'd give this stick a 10 out of 10 if I could. My buddy so wisely said this stick is like a mini VLX. If you don't want to drop the heavier penny on a VLX, buy this stick, you won't regret it.

the stick is amazing. it is very responsive, works alot better that the Madcatz TE sticks i have used, i see people complaining about the start buttons location but i never once have hit it. in fact you have to be button mashing to even come close to hitting it. on a scale of one to ten this stick gets a 10 flat out. i hope to also get the Street Fighter X Tekken stick soon as well. both would look good together. so if you're looking for a good stick get this or any other Hori hands down.

This Arcade stick is Fantastic and I use it whenever I can, there IS one issue though...

It has a Square-Gate, AKA If you try to move the stick in a Circle, you won't feel an octagon gate, only a square gate...

Other than that, great stick!

This turned out to be a really great buy. My first arcade stick and when i recieved it it was very wide(great for resting your hands imo), had a great weight to it, buttons were very responsive and the stick very stable. Had it for a few months now and even with all the abuse ive given it, still no problems. Ive read from other consumers that they had sometimes accidentilly hit the start button which makes sense given the spacing. But in all honesty i've never hit it accidentally during gameplay. Just practice a little to get the feel and you wont even notice it. Im sure those button mashers will tell you different though. Overall fast shipping, good price, very durable. Would not even hesitate to buy another if i needed it.

This game is unlike anything I've ever played before... it certainly isn't perfect, but it's unique, visually splendid, and probably the most daring effort at a big budget title that this generation of consoles has seen. It had me laughing throughout (it's extremely funny... not always by design, I suspect, but that's beside the point). Oh, and did I mention that it's UNIQUE?

If you're looking for something different, this is it. It's not like "God of War", it's not like "Bayonetta", and it's not like "MGS". It's just... bizarre, weird, and downright quirky. In a good way, in my humble opinion. However...

DO NOT buy this game if you can't stand QTE (Quick Time Events... the timed button presses made popular by "Resident Evil 4" and "God of War"). QTE... there's a LOT of it in this game... undoubtedly a world record, as a matter of fact!

Also... DO NOT buy this game if you can't stand anime... we just might be looking at another world record here, boys!

Finally, DO NOT buy this game if you're not willing to accept the fact that there is a relatively small amount of hands-on gameplay.

The story is entertaining (and hilarious in its absurdity, as I mentioned earlier), and I really didn't mind all the cut scenes and non-playing portions, because the presentation of this game is so outstanding. I'm not a huge fan of either anime or QTE, but I was able to overlook their enormous presence because this game is just so unique. Developers in the gaming industry need to be more innovative, more daring, and less fearful of failure. This willingness to tread uncharted territory is what's required for the industry to grow and evolve. "Asura's Wrath" is a perfect example of a developer (and the publisher... hats off to Capcom for supporting this project) taking chances, and pursuing a fun idea that they're passionate about. Every aspect of this game is filled with HEART.

If you're not sure if you'll like this game or not, just download the demo from PSN or Live. The demo is very indicative of the entire experience... that experience being a very unique insanity :D

Update on 6/23/12: Went back for another go-round, and this game still makes me laugh and smile. Love it:)

Long time gamers, remember the time a few games tried to be different, Wolfenstein was made, and spawned the whole FPS genre?

Yes, being different is a good thing. And I appreciate what the makers of Asura's Wrath is trying to do.

A simple summary for the game: The setting is old world gods mixed with Sci-Fi. The story is about a demigod cast away who vows to make things right his way. Gameplay is nothing like what we are used to. It is an action adventure with shooting elements and a large amount of violent melee. Asura does not have a health bar, but the player aims to fill the rage bar so as to perform a finishing move to proceed. A lot of QTE or PDE (player dependent events) is required.

It is not what everyone is used to. I hear comparisons with God of War a lot but besides the rage, nothing else is similar. The player does not have health bars and magic points. That is why most players get angry and make a bad review or comment. And players who do not like QTE would not like this at all.

The game is simply for fun. It has a lot of anime style cutscenes in between. It is humorous.

The only regret I have is that there is not enough gameplay and it is over too quickly in 6 8 hours.

Discounting people who hate asian mythology, anime, QTE and playing something different, this game is made for the small percentage of gamers who would find this game fun. The majority who are used to major mainstream titles will find this very unappealing. So try the demo before buying. Chances are you may not like the game, because honestly, you are probably part of the majority.

Nevertheless, this game is original, well-made and entertaining. Hence the 5 stars.

Some may argue that Asura's Wrath is not really a "game," and instead just an interactive movie with a series of quicktime events. Whichever side of the fence you're on, you cannot deny that Asura's Wrath is a crazy, over the top, and magnificent experience that will surpass any expectations you had and leave you in awe.

The game is divided into "episodes," in an interesting way that really does feel like you're watching an anime, complete with the pause where the commercial break would be, and a fully narrated preview for the next episode. Each episode takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, so you can take a break between each one to absorb the material, or just power through like a marathon or a traditional game.

The gameplay has you running around an area and fighting enemies with a relatively simple combo system, and utilizing your special heavy attack at the right moment to build up your "Burst" gauge to advance the game and play the next cutscene. The real beauty of Asura's Wrath is once you "burst" something crazy is ALWAYS going to happen. If you've played the demo, getting crushed by a boss the size of the earth and getting speared through with a sword as long as the diameter of the planet are just tips of the iceberg. The button-prompts are also really good at emphasizing the actions and getting you into the story, in a way that doesn't make you roll your eyes and sigh heavily.

The only thing holding me back from giving Asura's Wrath 5 stars is the DLC. Hiding the true ending, which you absolutely HAVE to buy, behind DLC is a really scumbag move on Capcom's part. To make customers pay an additional $7 for content that should've been on the disc is a shady move that casts all publishers in a bad light. However, I must stress, that the true ending is extremely worth it and I encourage everyone who buys Asura's Wrath to buy the DLC as well. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

If I had to summarize this game with one sentence: Its like Dragonball Z + Gurren Lagann on steroids.

I'd heard about the hype surrounding KOTOR for years. Yet, I never made the time to play it. Finally, when I upgraded my computer, I thought it was finally time to give the game a try. As a Star Wars fan, I couldn't have been happier. Here are a few key points:

STORY

The game has a very rich story, far better than most of the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Your character is a Force-sensitive Republic soldier who leads an odd assortment of characters to locate an ancient superweapon controlled by the Sith. However, along the way you face dozens of side quests and have to make decisions in how you respond to challenges. You get to influence the story through your choices and can eventually head down the light or dark path. Thus, decisions have consequences and it's not just the very final decision in the game, but innumerable small decisions when conversing with characters. I played through once, but it's clear that I could play the game again in its entirety and it would be a very different experience.

CHARACTERS

The characters are undoubtedly the best part of the game. KOTOR manages to incorporate a fairly substantial leading characters and dozens of important supporting characters. Many of these have become fan favorites, including Bastila Shan, Canderos Ordo, Darth Malak, and of course Darth Revan. This is because each character has a unique personality and, more importantly, the grow and mature during the course of the game. You end up really caring about them by the time you're done.

GRAPHICS

This game was released in 2003, yet the graphics hold up surprisingly well. Certainly better than most of what I'm used to on the Wii. I'd love for BioWare to rerelease KOTOR with improved graphics, but there's really not much to complain about here. Of course, this might depend on how powerful your computer is and whether you're willing to risk smooth performance for better graphics (fortunately, my computer's really powerful, so I got both!).

GAMEPLAY

I was a bit worried that the RPG-style gameplay would detract from the combat experience. However, it's seamless. Your characters don't pause during turns, but rather keep fighting. If you order your characters to attack and then sit back, it becomes an almost cinematic experience. However, be sure to invest some time learning how the combat system works and about your equipment. After a few hours into the game, you'll find that you have far more items than you'll ever be able to master.

DRAWBACKS

I kid you not, my only complaint is the ending. After such a dramatic quest, it was a bit of a letdown. I was expecting a 10 minute cinematic denouement chronicling the fates of each character. Oh well...

STABILITY

I've read a lot of complaints about stability issues. Fortunately, I didn't experience much of this at all. I played through the entire game (around 50 hours) and it only crashed twice. However, I just got a new MacBook Pro, with the highest performance specifications, so my experience probably isn't typical. You will definitely need a powerful computer, but the game is good enough that you'll be able to put up with the occasional stability problem. Just be sure to save frequently.

After having played and beaten KOTOR, I'm simply left hungering for more. I'm going to try to get KOTOR II, but there's not much else out there. It's sad that Star Wars video games have only declined since KOTOR. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was a big disappointment. Hopefully, the new Old Republic game will bring back the glory days!

It really depends on what your age is for this one. It's for anyone who likes to play pretend, in other words, ages 3-6. It's like a better version of those light up ones. Anyway, its a great gift for a child, but anyone else should steer clear of this one.

It's just a silly prop(I'm not buying it just saying.) It could be played with, if your drunk, high(be carefull with that!), or just plain silly like me. It's mainly a novelty used to put the KotOR into perspective(well, scale perspective). Oh, and I think it probably stinks, most plastic toys out today do. Some kind of safety thing I guess.

The people at Lucas Art have outdone themselves!!! In short this is without a doubt the best RPG game ever. I must admit when starting the game it was a bit complicated to figure everything out, but by the first hour you'll get it all down. If you want to buy a Star Wars game this is the one. It may however spoil you its that good. I can't wait till the next game from this company comes out!! Its a bummer when the game ends, you just want it to go on forever.

I live in North America and imported this because I love Dynasty Warriors and hate digital downloads. Empires is my favorite and this one did not disappoint. Much better than 6! Secondly, I would like to address a couple previous reviews. The guy that says this will not work on a R1 PS3 is wrong. All PS3 systems are region free. The only obstacle is the European PAL format (N America uses NTSC). This brings me to the reviewer that couldn't get it to work and any future buyers that may have this problem. You need an HDTV which most people have by now and an HDMI cable to hook to your PS3 which can be bought online cheaply. After that you have to go to output settings in the PS3 menu and select HDMI and it will work just fine. There's more detailed info on this online. If you can conqueror those minor obstacles dont hesitate to import this great game in its best form. Down with digital download only and Sony's stupid English only policy thats not even consistent considering the Yakuza games and Agarest War Zero got hard copies and only had Japanese dialog.

I ordered this because I wanted to own the actual disk (the US release is digital only). This works perfectly in a US PS3. The game is really fun too.

This will be my 34th "Warriors" title. I was very upset that this game was only downloadable in North America, so ordering it from Europe through Amazon.com was my best bet. It came within a reasonable amount of time and plays great. If you loved Dynasty Warriors 7 and Xtreme Legends, you will love Empires. The create a warrior is better than ever, and the empires mode is the best the series has seen. Alittle complicated at first, but easy to catch on. Support the "Warriors" Franchise and buy this game! Koei for Life.

Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 was my first introduction to the series as well as my first game for the PS3. I wasn't too sure of the series at first, mostly because I hadn't played a JRPG since Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, but I was willing to give it a shot. After I finished the game(by finished I mean I 100% it) I wanted more, but didn't know where to look. I saw a regular copy of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory at my local store, but I wanted the limited edition. I ordered it and it arrived in Perfect condition. The tin case itself is very nicely made and it definitely brings that '70's feel that the game is trying to elude to while at the same time providing some excellent artwork of the characters. Inside the tin was the game itself, a soundtrack, artbook and another "timecapsule" tin. The soundtrack is well put together and there are some tracks worth listening to. The artbook was the main reason I picked up the limited edition and I wasn't disappointed. Inside the hardcover artbook is as you would imagine character stills, sketches, and other things from the Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory game. The small time capsule included was also nice and featured artwork on both sides. As far as the game goes it is what you would expect from a Hyperdimension Neptunia game. I love the references to the classic console wars, the video game crash, and the current gen console wars as well as the humorous dialogue that makes up the game. The combat is much like the combat from Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 with some minor tweeks to balance out the gameplay. All in all it has held my attention for 2 playthroughs and I am working on my 3rd playthrough so replayablility is exceptionally high if you are into the series. Total I expect to clock in just over 100 hours of gameplay before setting the game aside. Overall it is an exceptional game and I think that everyone should give it a shot. If you are into any of the Hyperdimension Neptunia games then I would definitely urge you to pick up the limited edition of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory if you haven't done so already.

As a long time fan of the original NMH on the Nintendo Wii, I was happy to see the PS3 "Heroe's Paradise" port make it to the NA market.

This review focuses on the port and its differences from the original rather than the game itself and is intended for those who have already played NMH on the Nintendo Wii.

SCE's addition of the Move made it an obvious candidate for Move support as NMH was one of the handful of games I personally found to be enhanced in the fun factor on the Wii due to the addition of motion controls. In all fairness these are basically limited to vertical shaking (to recharge the Beam Katana), rapid circular motions (during weapons clashes) and motion specific slashes (finishing moves or throws), but I still found them more satisfying than basic game pad controls. Many of the mini-games dispersed throughout NMH also make fair use of motion controls, which have, for the most part, been replicated with the Move.

While the game is fully playable with both the original SIXAXIX controller or the DS3, the game may lose some of its charm for those who originally played it on the Wii, so for those players, Move is the preferred controller choice.

Despite the better technology utilized by the PS Move over that of the original Wii motion controls (back in Q1 2008), there are some flaws with the PS3 port, in particular, responsiveness. This was never an issue with the original Wii code yet the failure to recognize user input flawlessly with the PS Move has been an issue regularly during play testing, whether that's due to the tolerances being tighter or simple unoptimized port code, I can't comment.

What the port does offer over the original is 1280x720 native output resolution, which is quite an improvement over the original's 720x480. Small details and distant object renders are now visible and the general issue of jagged/stepped pixel visuals (which are simply characteristic of any game on the Nintendo Wii) has been drastically reduced on HD displays. Texture-wise, I'm noticing bump maps where there were either none or just weren't noticeable on the Nintendo Wii, making the characteristic NMH flat shaded texture work look considerably less flat.

Additions the the Heroe's Paradise edition include new "dream sequences" spaced in-between boss fights, featuring characters from NMH2: Desperate Struggle, which can be unlocked to play against in the new score centric boss fight mode (scores uploaded to online leaderboards). Also added was the ability to watch cut scenes after they have been unlocked while in Travis' apartment, a minor (and somewhat hidden) feature that is nonetheless a welcome addition for those who enjoyed NMH for the over the top storyline and cut scenes.

Other negatives include a significant amount of frame tearing under many conditions (something that was a non-issue on the Wii's SD visuals) which points to poorly optimized code as the visuals of NMH are anywhere between extremely modest and sub-par for a console that features games with visuals such as Killzone 3, Uncharted 2, etc. Intentionally stylized was where the art direction went with NMH (much like Valkyria Chronicles or the more recent Catherine) rather than any attempt at photorealism, yet this works perfectly for the manga/anime style story of Travis Touchdown and No More Heroes.

As a budget title, NMH is worth a second trip for PS3 owners who enjoyed the original (it was this reviewer's most played Wii game dating back to Q1 2007) due to the enhanced resolution, modestly updated visuals and minor additions. For those who haven't, even as a game that dates back to 2007, the bizarre storyline and over the top characters will still appeal to many, particularly those who delve into the odder side of Japanese pop culture and anime.

While not a perfect port (it's actually fairly flawed due to the screen tearing issue, slower game save times, and Move controller responsiveness that is actually worse than that of the Nintendo Wii Remote), it is still No More Heroes and the world of Santa Destroy looks sharper and more detailed than it ever has.

So I've been playing this game for a couple of hours and I think I'm ready to lay down my verdict. I had been anticipating this game for quite some time, as I had never had the chance to play through the Wii version. In some respects I am very disappointed, but the game does deliver in others.

I'm an optimist, so let's start with the good. Quite frankly, this game has some of the best cutscenes I've ever seen in a video game. I'm saying that while openly stating that the graphics are pretty awful for a PS3 game. However, the sense of humor and style in each of the boss scenes will at the very least elicit a chuckle out of you, which is something that most new games fail to do. I openly cracked up laughing during one of the scenes when Travis is asked if he feels fear, and his response is "Wouldn't know, never felt it." It's somewhat reminiscent of the movie Kill Bill, except with more humor and less intellectualism. In addition, the boss battles are truly entertaining. There's a great deal of variety, and each boss has his/her own distinct sense of style. You have 10 assassins to kill to get to the top, and you'll have a blast with every single one of them.

Now let's get to the bad. Quite frankly, any battle that isn't a boss fight is dreadfully boring. It essentially boils down to hold down the lock on button to block every single attack (there's almost no reason to let go of this button ever) and then spam buttons until the enemies die. The motion gimmick where you flick the controller in a direction to finish off an enemy may have been fun when the Wii was new, but now it's just a jarring and unwelcome interruption during combat. Pretty much every fight boils down to holding down L2, and spamming triangle and square until everything dies. I got so bored, I was literally watching youtube videos while playing the levels leading up the bosses. With the combat out of the way, No More Heroes has its own city which you can navigate in a GTA style fashion. Except...there's no reason for the city to be there at all because there's NOTHING in it. If there are only a few places you can visit (less than 10), why bother creating a huge city to house it? They might as well just have designed the city like your bedroom, and have you just select the destination. The sandbox style city construction isn't conducive to anything when there's absolutely nothing to do in the sandbox... Another gripe of mine is the saving. It's a huge pain in the ass. To save, you have to enter a restroom. It takes about 10 seconds just to enter the restroom, then it has to load, then you have to watch another 10 seconds of Travis sitting down on the toilet, and then toilet paper wrapping across the screen. Then you press save, and it takes 20-30 seconds at times, then you have to watch him stand back up, it has to load again, and then you'll reappear at the main screen. Saving shouldn't be a two minute endeavor! The game wasn't hard enough to justify saving since I wouldn't die, and I hated dealing with saving so much that I would only save when I was planning to turn the game off. It doesn't need to be that damn annoying!

So anyways, this is a lengthy review so I'll try to sum it up. If you're the kind of gamer that actually loves watching cutscenes (think Metal Gear), you'll probably enjoy this game because the cutscenes are quite amusing. And basically, that's what this games boils down to. I found myself playing just because I wanted to see the cutscenes, and the actual game itself was just a punishment I had to endure before watching the scenes. I know, I know, I could just youtube the cutscenes but for some inexplicable reason my brain tells me that that would be "cheating." The boss battles are an exception of course, the boss battles are fantastic. With that said, if you're the kind of gamer who hates cutscenes, repetitive gameplay, or button-mashing style beat em ups, this game is really not for you. I can almost guarantee that you will hate it. 90% of the game really does boil down to holding the lock on button and mashing on square and triangle.

With that said, I hope this review was helpful, I know the diehard No More Heroes fans out there will want to murder me but I tried to be as objective as possible.

I hate the term, but No More Heroes could certainly be called a "guilty pleasure." Crass language, over-sexed characters, glitchy graphics... But honestly, I loved this game on the Wii and I love it more on the PS3. The graphics have vastly improved coming over to the world of HD, but they're still average when compared to the PS3 library of games. The horrible bike driving remains, and some extra boss battles from NMH2 have been added. The game works well with the PS Move, but I'm enjoying playing it with a standard controller, for accuracy's sake.

And really, the awful translations and dialogue really are part of the charm of this game. Santa Destroy is a bland city, but for some reason I love it, and the story that's being told. For $40, this probably isn't a good buy, but for $30 and under it's a worthy addition to your collection if you have a dark sense of humor.

There is no way around the fact that this game is awesome at it's core. Unique, fun and has plenty of suda 51 style.

People complain about the job missions but they are not bad and very few are annoying. On average they last 2-3 min anyway. The battle stages are awesome and have very interesting boss battles.

Honestly I tend to dislike open world games, but this one does it right, in fact better than most. While the world is a lot less detailed than GTA or red dead redemption, almost everything has a purpose. Everything I do in the open world helps lead me to my next fight. That is called MOTIVATION boys and girls. A lot of the Rockstar games are garbage because they fail to offer in game motivation for doing anything in the open world. They are the equivalent of virtual ADD since you are surrounded by meaningless distractions that do not cause any development or forward momentum at all. OK, so if you think its like that, and you enjoy those immersive environment based games, the open world will feel shallow to you.

The battles are a combonation hack n slash with some times button presses and elements that discourage mindless mashing.

This game contains some screen tearing that normally pisses me off, but it is so unique and fun that I almost do not notice. Driving around the overworld was unwieldy at first but you will get the hang of it. There is some odd stuff going on with collision while on the bike also. This is why I docked the game a star.

In the end I think how much you like this game may rest on how you feel about the style of it and how much you can look past blemishes to appreciate the unique aspects.

***I cannot compare to the wii version and used a dualshock durring my playthrough (not Move).

Want No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise Discount?

My first introduction to Suda51 was Shadows of the Damned. I really enjoyed the quirky, adult humor and characters of that game. It also made me want to try one of his most well known games, No More Heroes. It's quite interesting reading the reviews for the PS3 version, because the majority of people who have played the original Wii version don't sound all too impressed with this copy of the game. As for me being an individual who never played the original, I can definitely say it was one of the more enjoyable PS3 games I've had pleasure to experience, simply due to the fun factor. Shadows of the Damned was "ok" and cute (yes, you read that correctly, I said cute), but I didn't enjoy it as much as NMH. In No More Heroes, the story is cheesey, completely dumb and waaaaay over-the-top. That may sound like a negative to some people, but I found it works so well in this. It's like if Quentin Tarantino suddenly became obsessed with Star Wars one day and decided to make a game, only to reference it like crazy. The story, gameplay, side missions and bosses in No More Heroes never got old for me, even after three playthroughs. The upscaled graphics I thought looked nice as well.

I did run into quite a few screen tearing issues and glitches (DLC Saber/Mine Mission, Bike getting stuck next to objects), but those are little things and not really game breaking. I know this sounds like a 4 or 5 star review, but I gave it a 3 star because it becomes a really short game after playing it once. You can get to Rank 1 in a matter of a few hours if you decide to skip all the side mission tasks.

If Amazon allowed an extra half star to their review system, I would add that half star just for the amount of fun I had while playing this. Good game.

The MW3-branded Foxtrot is nothing more than re-packaged PX21 by Turtle Beach. The PX21 is also a universal headset (Xbox360, PS3, PC), despite being labeled as "PS3 headset" on Amazon. This is a good headset, and pretty easy to setup and use, but unless you're really into the MW3 logos and green coloring, save yourself $40 and get the Turtle Beach PX21's. Same exact thing. The PX21 would get 4 stars for being above average headsets at a good price. The MW3 Foxtrot loses a star just because it does the same and costs more.

After going through several stock Microsoft headsets, I finally decided to get something a bit more durable what I ended up getting is the Limited Edition Turtle Beach MW3 Foxtrot Headset.

Out of the box, I was pretty quickly satisfied with the design and the feel of it. It's well-made, yet lightweight. Hook-up is also quite simple, but if you need instructions, they're there for you. As this thing is wired, it doesn't take batteries; it simply plugs into one of the USB ports on your 360.(I recommend the one in the back, just because. Well. It's in the back.)

On the cord, there's a little box that allows you to adjust game sound, chat sound, toggle mute, adjust bass, and this thing that says "Expander" ... I'm ignorant as to what this thing is supposed to be, all I know is that when you turn it to on, you get a bit more static than when it's off, doing nothing from what I can tell other than lowering the audio quality. There's also a little 360 controller on the box, which is where you plug in the little included adapter cord, so you can talk to people over Xbox LIVE.

It's really quite incredible what a solid headset does for you how much it changes the game. You really have to hear it to believe it. While this isn't the absolute best headset on the market, or the cheapest, it's not too bad at the price of about $100. While this headset doesn't have Dolby 7.1, it has "amplified stereo," as well as an awesome thing I mentioned above the bass boost. This thing makes the headset all-the-more worth it. Turn this up, and any game you're playing instantly becomes better. In Call of Duty or Battlefield, every shot you fire from your gun rattles your eardrums ever-so nicely, as does a nice big explosion. Perhaps even better, is using this headset while playing Rock Band or the good ol' defunct DJ Hero never has the music sounded so good. And of course, the bass just makes it better.

Another thing that's included with the Foxtrot Headset is "chat boost." The chat boost is a built-in thing that is supposed to adjust the volume in the people you're talking to's voice, to the sound in-game. While this is great in theory, I've had issues with it. While playing Modern Warfare 3, I had the game volume about 3/4 of the way up, and chat at half way. Seemingly randomly, the chat would suddenly get incredibly loud, so I'd turn it down. After doing so, it was so quiet, I couldn't hear anybody to talk. I had to do this over and over again, and it resulted in quite a bit of frustration. What I have noticed is that the lower your bass boost, the less likely this will happen. Regardless, it seems unavoidable if you're chatting with people, and it can be either a minor annoyance, or an ear-bleeding hell of an experience.

So... would I recommend this headset? Yes. Are there other and better, cheaper options? Yes. The main reason why I really prefer this headset to other Turtle Beaches, is that it just looks nice with its sleek design. I should also let you know that even though this says it's a Modern Warfare 3 headset, the only spot you can really sense that it's a Call of Duty headset is on the box on the cord, where it says Call of Duty MW3, and on the top of the headset itself, where it has Call of Duty pressed in. Overall, it's just aesthetically pleasing all-around, and the audio quality isn't too shabby either.

+: That brand new "out of the box" smell, solid sound quality, bass boost, looks pretty cool.

-: Cord is pretty freakishly long, the chat boost has its issues, may not be the best option for the price it is shop around first.

UPDATE 2/29/12: Well, after a little under two months of owning this headset, it randomly broke without warning. I put it on one day, and I was just getting cutting-in-and-out sound from both sides of the headphones. I had to go down to Best Buy to return them. Unfortunately, they don't sell these there anymore, so I settled with the X12's. While I really loved how this headset looked, sounded, and felt, I can't give it a 4 when it's as fragile as this is. Also, in case you're thinking I'm just one unlucky person, one of my friends had the same exact thing happen to him just a few days later. Due to the lack of durability, I now give the Foxtrot Headset a...

First off, I say a decent buy because the Foxtrot's are basically re-skinned PX-21's with Call of Duty stamped in the headband. You can save yourself $20 or $30 if you can live without the Call of Duty edition. Also the left ear has started going out, it'll crackle and sometimes completely cut off the audio. For this I recommend the wireless ones.

I never imagined surround sound making THAT big of a difference in game quality and my play performance. These are considered the low-end turtle beaches, I can't even fathom what the $300 sets sound like. The bass boost basically amplifies footsteps of enemies. I can hear them at least 20 feet away and react by the time they round the corner. Even if people are camping, I can hear them reloading. With this headset, everyone is an easy target. Battlefield is no different, you can run but you can't hide. Turtle Beaches are just sick in general. Assassin's Creed Revalations I can hear people two or three buildings over and hunt them down with ease. Need for Speed and Forza I can distinguish which side they are trying to pass me on and cut in front.

The mic is great too. Crystal clear but loud as hell. Put it away from your face a good bit and don't yell. You don't wanna make your teammates' ears bleed.

Having bought both NBA 07 and 2K7, I preferred the former. In many ways 2K7 may be the better basketball game, but I just didn't find it to be as much fun (which is why I sold it).

Pros:

If you are looking for a faster action, offense oriented game....this is the one to buy.

The graphics look very good; i'm not sure where the negative reviews are coming from on this one. Granted, I've not played the game on HDTV...but it looks great even in standard def. Both 2K7 and NBA07 were good here, but I think NBA07 wins out here.

The gameplay is solid when you get used to it, and personally I actually like the bar that comes up for shooting.

The mini-games are fun, especially shooting around for the most points with a group of friends.

The online options and downloads are good, though admittedly I use them alot less than just playing the season mode.

I really hated the gimmicky way that 2K7 used the motion sensor to shoot free throws. The motion sensor might be a really great technology for some games (it works very well in Flow, for instance), but was tacked on in 2K7 and didn't work for me.

Cons:

Isn't as deep as 2K7. There is a season mode, but no franchise/dynasty mode. This isn't a big deal for me, as 82 games in a season is a ton to get through anyway.

You can only have one season saved at once, so far as I can tell.

The defensive AI is *much* weaker than 2K7. Really, it is a joke at times. Unless you want to play center and hope to snag rebounds, playing a person at anywhere other than near the basket is a sure way to give up easy points. For me this isn't a big deal because I like an offensive oriented game, but if you want a more realistic game, get 2K7.

It takes a little adjusting to the game, especially on defense.

I'm not gonna lie, This game looks amazing. It truly shows how nice the PS3 can make the games look. Although a few people say the characters look like plastic. It still shows off the great resolution.

The Bad and the reason why the 2 stars.

The game play is horrendous. The game focused so much on "fancy" dunks that there is no defense playable whatsoever. The instant you go for a dunk, YOU CANNOT STOP IT. I've made dunks over 4 people all jumping. The game looks amazing but if you want to have an all around basketball game. This is not it.

The Playstation 3 needs some good sports titles. There isn't much right now, pretty much Madden, NBA 2k7 and of course NBA o7. NBA 07 was developed in-house by Sony. The series has been relesed on both the PS2 and PSP with only average reviews. Thankfully, this version does not suffer the same fate, it's a good game of hoops even though you have a much better choice with NBA 2k7. But if you like basketball like I do, you might want to consider this one too, just because it's a different experience.

What stands out is the graphics. The graphics are top notch, and I feel in most ways, it's a better looking game than 2k7 due to the incredible player models and stadium details. In true 1080 HD, the game is really sweet too look at. It really struts some of the power of the PS3 has to offer. Smooth crisp animations, nice player models, terrific reflections on the court, realistic stadiums and excellent use of vibrant colors and dripping sweat to boot! The player models are not perfect. The players look to sweat a little profusely and when this happens, they look a bit "manequinish", is that a word? I guess you can say they resemble a zombie in a round about sort of way. But you'll only notice on replays, timeouts and closeups, so it's only a minor gripe. But the players faces look very much like their real counterparts and they even got the hair down to a tee.

Gameplay wise, I would describe it as a 70% sim and 30% arcade feel. The gamep plays at an amazing fast pace and there is lot of scoring. The defense A.I. still needs some work, I noticed too many easy holes to the basket as my computer controlled teammates do not seem to help out in the lane when they should. One thing also that really bothered me was that very annoying shot meter. It's difficult to perfect it, as it seems to want just that, "perfection" to make a shot. Luckily, the shot meter thing can be disabled,so if you have problems like me making open jumpers, just turn it off. Other problems are with player fatigue issues. I noticed players being tired really doens't seem to affect them when their still oncourt. I've had guys below 50% and they were still moving fast and making shots on the court like they were fully rested from the bench. This is certainly an issue if you want realism and if you play online as substitutions are basically not needed. They need to patch this up.

Ouch. You would think of the slick presentation with TNT by it's side, you would think we would have a great tv style presentation. Well, good stat screens and cool TV replays are nice, but where the heck is my commentary? NBA 07 is lacking any commentary whatsoever. All you hear is the P.A. announcer. This is a major bummer and considering this is a next gen title, leaving out commentary is a big no-no.

Online play for the most part seems to be pretty smooth, I only notice a few laggy games, of course a lot depends on your connection. The modes are pretty bareboned, typical Season, Exhibition and a few mini-game which are actually very fun. The NBA Replay mode lets you replay games from the past week (in real life) and alter the ending. It's a good experience and with so many scnerios each week from the NBA, this mode is fun and will keep you busy. There are no deep franchise modes or the "The life" mode offered in the PS3 version, which is a bit disappointing. You would think a full priced NBA game for the PS3 would be loaded, but it still seems to a bit lacking.

Overall, I really liked NBA 07. The on-court gameplay is very good and is a good change up from 2k7. It's a game anyone can jump into and most will have fun with it. A few issues in the gameplay and lacking modes keeps it from being a must have. IF you only want to get one game, I would say NBA 2k7 is your best bet, it's still the best basketball game on the market.

Holy macaroni... what a vivid, imaginative, and colorful universe this limbless fellow lives in!

I was a huge fan of Rayman Origins, which was released two years ago. At that time, I considered it to be the best 2D platformer in the history of gaming, and I believe that has remained true until now. Ubisoft has done gamers everywhere a huge service by improving upon their remarkable formula in every possible way, and delivering a game that's even BETTER than the awesome platformer that is Origins.

Foremost, the visuals of Legends need to be addressed. One of the best things about Origins was that it looked like you were controlling a cartoon, which resulted in terrific animations, slapstick comedy, bizarre spectacles, and OODLES of SMILES. I would have been perfectly happy if this sequel looked exactly like Origins, but somehow the developers have made it look even better. The graphics in this game POP like nothing I've ever seen before, and it looks even more like an animated movie than ever. Graphics generally have little to do with actual gameplay, but in the case of the Rayman games, their whimsical presentation has a direct correlation with the end result (that being fun, laughter, and wonder), so they do have a big impact here. This game is a visual treat, and I predict that it will be impervious to the "aging" that most games suffer from, because the art direction is so marvelously realized.

Though Legends' graphics may make this game look a tad childish, do not be deceived this is a meticulously designed platformer that offers tremendous challenges. Furthermore, if you study the layout of the levels and practice, you will discover that there is an incredible amount of sophistication here. As far as I can tell, EVERY level can be played in one swift movement, with no hesitation whatsoever if you have the skill to memorize the patterns and the reflexes to guide you (which comes in handy when attempting to complete time challenges). I am blown away by the amount of care that the designers put into this game. I don't see any "shortcuts" or evidence of "going through the motions" to fill out content.

And on the subject of content, there is a staggering amount here. The campaign alone is very long, particularly for a 2D platformer, but what makes the game infinitely larger is the amount of additional challenges and collectibles. Multiplayer is also a blast, and I can have fun playing Legends with less experienced gamers. Though it is far harder to complete challenges when I have other gamers along for the ride, that's not what it's about it's about having fun and watching Rayman and Globox slap each other silly.

It bears mentioning that you can have anybody play this game with you, from a five-year-old to your granny. There is no violence other than the "cartoon" variety, and it's a huge departure from the glut of ultra-violent titles that have saturated the market in recent years. To me, this is a wonderful, beautiful break from the norm. No longer do you have to worry about "headshots" and the other staples of the shooter genre, but you can focus on the types of things that made us enjoy games when we were younger: a sense of wonder, whimsy, and the relentless pursuit of fun.

Please note that I play this game on PS3 and Vita, but I am posting my review (of Legends' content) for all consoles, because I feel this game deserves major credit.

It's your basic run to right and get to the end sort of game but there is lots of variety mixed in there. It never feels boring. It's just fun.

The best part is if you are looking for a party game this is fun to play with more than one person and some of the mini games are fun and easy enough that Grammy could play with the grand kids and they would both have a blast.

The Rayman series have always been about fun and great animation. This one is even better.

Graphics are incredible. It looks like you are watching a cartoon. There are great subtle effects such as foreground objects being out of focus to give the illusion of depth for objects in the background.

The sound is wonderful and immerses you in the game play.

The character looks like a Disney character. You have to save all of these little prisoners locked in cells and dungeons. But, you have a companion to help you along the way.

My daughter, who is not a gamer, took to this game very quickly and actually started playing it. Recognizing the Rayman series, it didn't take much for her to get started and play the game.

Overall this is a fantastic game for all gamers. Especially if you are a parent and want the kids to play something that is without all the garbage and needless violence.

Some time ago I let him try playing one of my old lego starwars games, and he has practically mastered it. He'll go up and play with his toys and I hear him saying "X X Square" when playing with a jedi. Even puzzles which I would have thought would be too hard for him he has figured out. A nice thing about the lego games is, when you die, you respawn almost exactly where you were, and there is no time limits. So he can go slow.

But I thought he might like a new game, so I picked this up, mostly because it was a side scroller platform, and it looked age appropriate in the action & graphics (nothing too violent or scary). I've not played any prior Rayman games, so was completely unfamiliar with it.

My son loves it, he can hardly stop playing it, so it was a success. It is more difficult than the lego games, the death mechanics are not nearly as forgiving, especially as often they're one hit to kill you. Cooperative play also is confusing, I was going to let his little sister play with him but, during cooperative play, when you die you turn into a pink bubble, okay neat... except you need the other person to free you from it (with an attack), and they weren't easily able to figure that out (the game also came with no manual, so I couldn't figure that out right away either). When your character dies he often respawns back a little ways, so it makes it more difficult, but my son has managed to get through quite a few levels.

Some levels though are way beyond him, they're not timed, perse, but there are timing heavy components, or things like ceilings of spikes slowly falling which means you need to move quickly, so he frequently asks for help while he plays. Other levels, he is fine with playing by himself. He picked it up in no time too, as far as the jumping and attacking goes.

Long before Ratchet and Clank or Jak and Daxter or Sly Cooper there was Rayman. A dear little guy with floating hands and feet who walked, ran, jumped and hovered sideways through a side-scrolling platform adventure collecting widgets, freeing captive friends, and bopping bad guys.

Fans of the series will be pleased to hear that this new collection is probably the best Rayman ever. Everything you liked about the previous games is back, and Rayman has some new moves, plus a little friend who assists him in clever ways at the press of the circle button.

The game also features a local co-op mode, which I haven't tried, in which you can enlist your friends to help Rayman on his way. You can also play as other characters besides Rayman.

The controls are spot-on, and the checkpoints are well set so when you fail (and you will fail!), you won't have to go back too far or restart a level to make further progress.

Did I mention that this is a perfect game for kids? There's no violence or profanity, and even the bad guys are engaging and funny. But does that mean adults won't love this game as well? To the contrary, there's more than enough challenge here for gamers of all ages -and your kids will probably have the speed and dexterity to put us oldsters to shame!

It doesn't hurt either that Rayman's adventures have the most lovely orchestral musical accompaniment -one reviewer compared it to the Looney Tunes scores, and that's probably not far from the mark.

So if you'd like to introduce your kids to some old-school gaming of the highest order -or you want to indulge yourself -welcome back Rayman. I give this game two floating thumbs up!

I'm an old school wrestling fan. I was pre-teen during Hulkamania and had lost touch with wrestling until the late 90's during the Rock/Stone Cold era. Since their retirement, I haven't watched much at all. WWF All Stars (it's always going to be WWF for me) reminded my of the arcade cabinets back in the late 80's and doesn't dissapoint in delivering and awesome arcade experience.

"Path of Champions" mode is a simple 10 match story mode with 3 different versions. In theory, you can play all three modes with one character and unlock 3 costumes (among other things). "Fantasy Warfare" challenges are awesome. Not so much for the matches, but the video mash ups that pit a legend against a current performer. Watching these videos, even if just for the nostalgia are really great. There is also online, that I haven't really got into and local multiplayer for up to 4 people that is very fun.

The graphics are cartoony, in fact better animated than the cartoon show back in the 80's. It's definately a comic book approach and it animates and runs flawlessly. This is a total arcade brawler with absurd moves and stunts. It's a great looking game for sure.

The mechanics are surprisingly deep, but easy to pick up. There are reversals and counter reversals that frankly, I could never pull off in other wrestling games, but are simpler here. There are two attack and two grapple buttons. Once you've grappled, you can hit any face button to perform a move. Super moves are easily executed (and blocked if timed poorly) and finishers are also simple to pull off (and also easily blocked). Button smashing will get things done, but there are a lot of moves that can be accomplished depending on your class type or postioning in the ring. It really feels like an arcade style fighter with wrestling characters, easy to play, difficult to master.

There are some negatives. There is no video library in extras to watch the videos you've unlocked in Fantasy Warfare, which is dissapointing. The create a wrestler feature is okay, but not great. There is no story or career mode, so even after you create a character, there's really no reason to use him except against friends or online opponents. And even then, you're just assigning a move set. There is no XP or points spent in different catagories. Just "brawler" with HHH's move set and the Rock's finisher. There are also a lot of recent WWF stars missing (due to contracts with other brands no doubt). It would have been nice to see Rick Flair in his prime, Kurt Angle, some of the ECW guys that have all drifted to TNA recently. Even still, the roster is awesome and the DLC character list is deep (hopefully not too expensive).

From a technical standpoint. Get ready for a lot of load times. When you boot up, the game "caches memory" for 3-5 minutes. You're then treated to a loading screen for another 1-2 minutes. If you back out from the main menu to the total screen, you inexplicably get the loading screen for 1-2 minutes again. On path of champions, it loads to start, you get a cut scene, loads again, you get ring entrances and loads again into the match. Terrible. An install option would have been nice to streamline some of that. Fortunately matches are 5+ minutes most of the time, so once you're in game, you play for a while.

There are a lot of characters that all have varying move sets (some are repeated) and it will take a bit of time to unlock everything. At the same time, like any fighter, unless you are going to play with friends and online a lot, the replay is limited. Even with those issues, it is still a terrific game if you're not a hardcore wrestling GAME fanatic and are just looking for a pick up and play brawler that takes you down Nostalgia Lane.

Alright, let me get right to it.

The Good:

-The gameplay in this title is absolutely top-notch

-The graphics/animation style adds a unique and fresh flair to the game itself.

-The different type of modes available to be played are very entertaining and should keep one entertained for many many hours.

-The amount of superstars/legends available on the roster are absolutely incredible. Finally, they get it right with the addition of Ricky Steamboat and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

The Bad:

-Controls. Now don't get me wrong, the controls are actually a lot better than they have been in other titles like Smackdown vs. Raw and Legends of Wrestlemania, however some of the moves are still a little bit tricky to "pull off." Yet with a bit of practice and timing, it will become easier.

-Sometimes the load times can be a bit repetitive. They aren't necessarily lengthy, its just you will endure several load times before being able to play an actual match.

-Now I know I mentioned this as one of the game's strengths, but it is also a weakness. The roster. Yes, the amount of wrestlers available is top-notch and very well put together, however there are some notable absences (that have been included in past games) like Ric Flair, The Iron Sheik, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Yokozuna, need I go on? I'm only mentioning this cause I know for some out there, this might be an issue. However as far as I'm concerned, both the quantity and quality if characters available is remarkable.

I haven't been able to play all of the modes yet (as the game just came out today), however I will edit my review once I do and breakdown each mode individually. However, as far as I can tell thus far, this video game is absolutely fantastic, and is definitely a BLAST!

Gameplay is definatly more like Wrestlemania the Arcade Game, or Legends of Wrestlemania with a lot more gameplay, but the combo's, chain reversals, and graphics are awesome. The controls do take some getting used to, but having a lot of fun playing and should be a great game against other players. Lot less options compared to Smackdown vs Raw, but the matchups are a lot more exciting. Now there are a few superstars who make less sense, like Kofi and Drew in this game, however, look at how many mid carders are "legends" and you'll see they would fit right in. But then you take Rowdy Roddy Piper against Drew, that does make sense. The Create a Superstar is less detailed than Smackdown vs Raw, but some options were corny, so it's fine. I would say rent it before you buy it, because it may not appeal to everyone, but it is definatly more than just an arcade version of the game, you can kick out of pins, you can break up pins, and KO's from finishers make for some extra depth.

I'm an old school wrestling fan. I was watching wrestling when WWF was around along with Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man etc. This game reminds me a lot of the wrestling arcade game i used to play in the 1990's.....forget the name though.

Yeah, the graphics are a bit on the cartoon side, but i find it refreshing. It is exagerated but well done. It is a great looking game with with awesome moves and supermoves. The animation runs flawlessly except maybe the 2 seconds immediately after you win a match where it seems to freeze. I am unsure if it was done on purpose or if there is supposed to be a 2 seconds lags after you win the match like a freeze moment. Nevertheless, it does not affect the gameplay in anyway.

As for the game itself, there is modes like "Path of Champions" (10 match story mode) with 3 different versions, "Fantasy Warfare" (15 challenges Superstars VS Legends) which is pretty awesome. There is alot of matchup you can use like Tornado Tag Team, Elimination matches, Cage matches, 3 free for all, 4 free for all, etc. There is enough to keep you busy for a while.

The mechanics of the game are suberbs in my opinion. No more 2 minutes long grapple to end up seeing a move from one of the wrestler. The game is really fast pace and it is awesome. There are reversals and counter reversals and it is all up to proper timing to make it work for you. Not too hard to understand and use. Super moves and finishers are very simple to pull off and depending on your class type or postioning in the ring you will execute a particular super move or your finisher. The Super moves and finishers are best seen when it is 1 vs 1 as the camera angle is closer to the wrestler. The screen turns blueish for Supermoves and Yellowish for Finishers. They are awesome.

Negatives for me are as mentionned by another reviewer that there is no video library in extras to watch the videos you've unlocked in Fantasy Warfare. Would have been nice. I find The create a wrestler feature is okay. Would have been nice to have some Extras finishers and Super moves just for created characters, but for that, we only have the wrestler entrance which contains 6x customs entrances. All the rest belong to existing wrestler of the games. I am OK with the roster altough i could have used more Legends and less actual Superstars. I don't really know who some of those guys are...John Morrison, Kofi, Shameus...etc. I could have used Earthquake, Brutus Beefcake, Rick Rude, Razor Ramon, etc. maybe DLC

The only really annoying part i have with the game is the "caches memory" which happens for 3-5 minutes and seems to need to get done everytime you have played another game in your PS3 than WWE All Stars. However, once it is loaded, it is not a problem.

Overall, i still think this is the best wrestling game out there. I hope DLC will bring us new characters (we already know of Ted Dibiase, Honky Tonk man, Legion of Doom), new arenas, new modes (royal rumble, normal tag team, maybe more options for Create A Wrestler). AND HOPEFULLY, it will not be too expensive.

Probably the most fun you will get out of a wrestling game. For those that liked the old Wrestlemania Arcade game that was on the consoles and actual arcade cabinets, this will deserve a look due to both games over the top gameplay.

Pros:

-Some of our favorite characters from the past are in here.

-Nice animations for the signature moves and finishers..although, very exaggerated. But that is part of the appeal to some degree

-When you can nail your finishers, it is very satisfying

-Easy to pick up and controls are easy learn for the most part.

-Different modes/ways to play

Cons:

-Would have swapped out some of the choices of wrestlers they put in.

-Would have liked more arenas.

-The intros are short and kinda meh.

-Some of the wrestlers have moves that they were not even known for.

-The character models are beyond exaggerated and often very similar to one another. There should have been a better contrast in model sizes, even with the roided out buff look.

-The reversal system can be quite tricky to pull off sometimes. Timing is very critical and if you rely on button mashing the trigger buttons to pull this off, you will get owned each time. The confusion alot of people have is that they are hitting the trigger button(s) when the icon shows on the screen, whereas, that simply means you inputed it too late. Therefore, this requires studying the movements of your opponent in order to pull it off.

Overall, its a decent rental. Id rent before buying to see if you can handle the reversal system as that would be a sticking point in terms of replayability.

Well, I won't give out any spoilers, but I will say that this game was definitely pushed through for gullible LOST fans (and I'm one of them) to snatch it up for top dollar.

The voiceover acting is good in some points, terrible in others. Lots of characters are here, but there are some glaring omissions like Boone, Shannon, Rousseau, and Mr. Eko. For some inexplicable reason, the LOST theme music is intact for the first chapter but is subtly changed for all subsequent chapters. Why change it? It makes no sense.

The movement in this game will be either a slow walk or jogging the character moves like a mannequin with overstarched underwear.

Sure, the facial animations are nice, but the synching of the lips is completely off there's no excuse to skimp here, because we saw facial animations and lip synching done to perfection in Heavenly Sword.

Play time in this game consists mainly of jogging, wandering around, shooting, taking pictures, jumping, sliding under trees like Pete Townsend, and figuring out fuse puzzles. (Yep, you read that right, FUSE PUZZLES.)

This game is very quick with only seven levels, most gamers will probably finish it in 3 days, which is hardly worth its high price tag.

It would have been wiser for the game developers to wait and release this game 6 to 8 months down the road and give it more quality. Some of the unlockable extras are nice, but there could have been so much more to enjoy with more effort.

Die hard LOST fans and people looking to become LOST fans will be totally confused at why a show that receives such high ratings led to the production of such an inferior game.

Save your money, folks...this one isn't worth it.

It was a great entertaining game but frustrating at timeswhy the heck can't you jump over anything? It was fun seeing everyone from Lost and interacting with them but it came off as lame sometimes. My biggest complaint is that I breezed through this game in about 2-3 daysand that was not playing non-stop either! There is a reoccurring game where you have to "match the fuses" which is fun at first but quickly got old for me. The graphics were nice but nothing spectacular but over all I would say save your money. I would say rent it if you canits nice to play if you are a lost fan, but not worth the $60 price tag and all the hype.

First of all, if you're not a die-hard Lost fan, don't even consider picking this up. The game has terrible game play, overly frustrating (yet entirely boring) puzzles and even worse voice acting. This is for the true Lost fanatic only.

For the true Lost fanatic, some of the game's shortcomings can be overlooked in favor of the story. You are a survivor of Oceanic flight 815 who has amnesia. Through your flashbacks, you will discover your past and weave a fairly engaging story that actually does provide some hints on the future of the series (at least, the future of the series as of the time this was released shortly into season 4). It is possible that the ending of the game may shed some light into season 6, but as of this writing (shortly before the season 6 premiere), that is impossible to say. Suffice it to say, the story is solid and was worth the purchase for me as a hardcore fan.

It was also pretty cool to have the ability to walk around the island. Mind you, the entire island is not presented, so you're limited in where you can go and it's not always entirely show accurate, but the major points of interest that were shown on the show up to season 3 are there.

Now for the downside; the game really is annoying to play. You find yourself constantly falling into needless death traps (especially in the caves), and ALWAYS needing to solve fuse box puzzles. Were someone unfamiliar to the show to play this game, they would definitely come away thinking that Lost is a show about people on an island who fix fuse boxes. The fuse box puzzle idea was interesting at first, but after several of them, it got VERY annoying. Couldn't they have come up with other puzzles for the game? The means by which you activate your flashbacks is also overly annoying and the voice acting is terrible (some of the actors do provide their voices, but the main cast do not, and the people they got to replace them don't sound a thing like the characters at all).

The Xbox 360 version seems to have Achievements for when you take pictures of certain items in the game, but the PS3 version does not. However, it would appear as though the game was just ported over to each platform from the same source, so all of the hints and the character's nagging to get you to take the pictures are still in the game, even though they serve no purpose on the PS3.

I was able to pick this title up from a marketplace seller for under $10, so the experience (about 8 hours to play for me) was great considering the low price. However, if I had to pay anything over $10, I very likely would have felt very ripped off... I feel terribly sorry for those who paid the full $60 upon its original release.

So far me and the wife have only played a small part of this game, but already i think i have an idea as to what kind of game it is.

You play an otherwise as yet, unknown character from the show, who suffers from amnesia. Your quest is to find out who you are and to help other survivors.

Graphics: Nice graphics, you have some great cut sequences and shadows work well, but are a little blocky. Plants move as you walk past them which adds to the realism of the game. B+

Sound: Almost exactly that of the show, with the bizarre change of the actual lost sound at the beginning when the Logo focus's in from the black slate, that is slightly changed, why? B+

Play: Above average recreation of a TV show to a game, one thing which i think seriously detracts is the lack of people on the beach, there are literally just the main characters from the show and no one else even then its just jack, sawyer, kate, hurley, claire and sometimes lock. To me that takes away from the community spirit. Otherwise its a pretty straight forward go here, take this there, solve puzzle move on type of game. There are some interesting elements that you have to overcome to gain back your memory though. Another downside is the pathing, you are very restricted as to where you can go in this game, which is a great shame, as more open play would have made this game great. But to restrict you to paths and to a small part of the beach is plain lazy on the part of the game makers. B-

Replayability: This is a tough one at this stage, but so far, if things remain the same, perhaps playing it once more just because it is lost is possible but otherwise C-

Overall, I'd give this game a Bor 70%, i'd love to give it more and perhaps once completed i'll revise this review, that i would love to do.

Can i recommend this game? I can to lost fans, but if you are not already interested in the world of lost, i think this game may actually make you less inclined to watch the show.

When this game first game out I was excited to get it, but hesitant, knowing that TV/Movie based games disappoint 90% of the time. The bad reviews here made me decide not to purchase. After a while the standard full msrp price (sixty) was cut in half to thirty. These days its cut in half again, going for around fifteen. The reviews seem to be rated fairly based on the price.

For sixty, this is a 2 star game.

For thirty, this is a 3 star game.

For fifteen, this is a 4 star game.

A few characters are voiced by the real actors. Many others are not. For a show with the attention to detail of Lost, that is terrible. Comparing the game mechanics to GTA, Resident Evil or Uncharted makes it look terrible. The combat is very limited and only occurs a couple of times. Being spoiled with the freedom provided in a GTA game, its terribly obvious how boxed in you are in Lost. The areas you play in are beautifully rendered and very interesting to explore, but when you hit the edge of a space even a small log is a solid force field.

Reviewing this purely as a video game its not so good. However, if you are the type that:

* Bought the seasons on DVD, if not blu-ray

* Listen to the official Lost podcast, if not 3rd party podcasts

* Wanted the show to move slower and cover the story in more detail

Then this is a game you'll enjoy. Its only 5-7 hours of play time, but fun while it lasts. Damon and Carlton assisted with the game design and stated that everything is true to the story. You get to explore areas of the game in detail which was great. Especially nice is the chance to explore the Swan hatch from season two and see exactly how everything is laid out. The game also gives a better sense for where some island spots are located relative to one another. The story was pretty good, and does give the sense of watching a few extra episodes.

Ideally, the game would have had:

* combat like Uncharted, as the show had plenty of that with the others

* much more freedom to explore the island GTA style

* more episodes (levels)

* Downloadable content to extend the game as seasons of the show passed.

Not what it could have been, but I'm very glad I picked it up at current prices and played it.
