The main reason I bought this lightning green skin for my Guitar Hero controller was to match my XBOX 360 Elite, and it looks great displayed next to it! The skin itself is very thick, and the quality of the image is amazing! It does takes a pair of very steady hands to correctly position the skin, but it applies very well if you take your time. My skin did, however, have a few air bubbles, but they weren't too difficult to push out. Overall I would recommend this product!

The product description says: "easily positioned, applied without air bubbles"Product 3/5: It isn't bad and looks nice when it's in place. Not so easy to put this thing anyway.
For a deceptive description 1/5: This skin left bubbles, no matter what you do, it leaves bubbles all over the place and isn't "easily positioned". The only good thing is that effectively this skin doesn't create a mess when removed.
So, overall a 2/5 counting the very high price (18 bucks) for what it is. There are better options with a reasonable price out there.

This game is by far out of the different titled westerns which is very very limited to maybe less than a dozen AWESOME. I can't say enough about this game that would do it justice other than just playing it for yourself is you like western genre themes of any kind. It is open environment so you can travel where ever, when ever and how ever you want without the annoyance of loading screens every 10 minutes. You can explore in this open environment which could take you literal days and possibly weeks to do it if you want to be thorough. The voices are awesome, the wild life is awesome with how you can hunt them and some actually attack you, the side missions are great, the interactive games like poker, black jack, dice, horse shoes, five finger filet and more. The outcome to each action in the game has a different playout each time so the replay value is pretty much unlimited because you can rotate the campaigne mode with being bad or good. Not only is the campaigne mode in general changed from being bad or good you can also rotate each mission or interaction within the campagne meaning that you can keep going back and forth for each mission being good or bad, this is rather interesting. The weapons are superb with how much realism is brought into the game with them and how certain models are less accurate or powerful than others. The soundtrack to this game fits perfectly and seems to meld with each scene like it was actually conducted as an overlay while the musicians were watching the in-game scene. I know I didn't cover all of it but this game to wrap it up can take you literally days, weeks or months to complete it just all based on how you play it. Take your time and explore, if you play any side missions, camp out and hunt or just play the main missions and get it over with. Last thing though, I do have one complaint-the games starts with you as the main character being forced by the law to do certain things that I will not give away but the game also ends in a way I will not give away. So my complaint is I HOPE THEY HAVE A PREQUEL if you will so it explains how he got into the gang after the first game red dead revolver which I do have and before the settings of this one above red dead redemption.

your a cowboy in the wild west, you've got history and ties to a famous band of outlaws and you've got a map nearly the size of the actual wild west to explore, show me where to sign up I hear you say! Good idea, don't waste any more time, buy it! must play.1.you can hunt/fight bears and wild cats
2.the graphics are very very nice
3.you can use tomahawks
4.there's a great plotpressure from the law and outlaw is involved and lots of guns and explosives!
5.there are several crazy old men
6.the feel of the game is great
7.there are lots of side missions, weapons, clothes and upgrades and trading
8.great action and shoot em up with elements of RPG thrown in for good measure
the only negative points are that the map is so massive it's tough to complete everything and trying to play red dead after a good session on call of duty, the controls feel weird!
GOOD GAME
take a look at my lists and other reviews by clicking my profile name little john above!! :)I am not a huge gamer, but loved this game! It is so different than most games on the market. The game landscape and music are awesome. It's a game you can play leisurely or seriously. I wish they would make a sequel.
Entertaining and fun.

If anyone tells you that this is just Grand Theft Auto with horses, they don't know what they're talking about. This is a straight up action-packed spaghetti western. A Wild West Tale of Cowboys. The story is well thought out and highly immersive. You will definitely spend enough time with the characters to really feel for them. The story will have you hanging on the edge of your seat waiting to see where John Marston's adventure will take him next.Graphically, this game is gorgeous. The map is 3 times as large as the last Grand Theft Auto (both are made by Rockstar) and you'll explore all kinds of terrain from deserts, valleys, urban cities, outposts, great plains, prairies, canyons, snow capped mountains...etc in America and Mexico. There are tons of missions, people and animals to which to interact. You will definitely not be bored.
The voice acting and sound effects are superb and dialogue is full of amusing tongue in cheek humor. Gesture and interact with just about everybody in RDR; they all have unique things to say.
The controls are excellent. Its very easy to pull off the right commands. I never felt like the game was too difficult, nor did I feel like it was leading me by the hand the entire time. It just felt right.
If you have a PS3, this is the version of the game to get (much better than the XBOX 360 version) as its on blu-ray and loads much faster. This is a must have game that should be in your game collection.

This was my first western game played on the PS3. It has some fun features like killing or capturing bandits, hunt animals, use a lot of weapons. I like the game although it has repetitive tasks so after some playing hours may became a little boring.Pros:
large area to explore
hunt or be hunted by wild animals
lots of weapons to choose from
beautiful graphics
fun side missions
Cons:
it gets boring after a while
Overall a must play for every Wild West movies or games fan and even not western enthusiasts will like it.

If you're looking for a review of the games themselves, I suggest looking up the original reviews for the games here; Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy Jak II Jak 3. I will simply be reviewing the new features for the trilogy package as a whole.
1. HD: The visuals in this game have definitely had a huge overhaul. The frame rate is a smooth 60fps, with hardly any hiccups or slowdowns. The character models look much more detailed and fine tuned. Environments look beautiful as well, and seeing many iconic locations remastered with detailed HD graphics can only be described as nostalgic. I hope they keep up the good work they've done with updating these PS2 classics when they make the Ratchet & Clank Collection.
2. 3D: For many, this won't matter since the number of 3D TVs in households is still a slim number, but for those who do (myself included) it's a feature well worth mentioning. They did a great job making the visuals really "pop". The multiple layers are well placed for dynamic depth perception. It' really been a joy to play the trilogy in 3D so far. You can adjust the depth to your liking, but I found the default setting to be just about right.
3. Trophies: If you're looking for a few challenges while replaying the trilogy, Naughty Dog's got you covered. The trophies range from challenging to pushover, but it's still been fun collecting them, as they have you doing things you might have otherwise never tried. The platinum trophy should give gamers a pretty big challenge to obtain, but with games like these, you'll enjoy every moment of the effort.
Naughty Dog's Jak Trilogy has long been a staple of the platforming world and replaying these games is a stark reminder why. It's a steal for $40, but for any less it's a must own! They just don't make games like these anymore, and they probably never will again, so it's definitely worth picking up a copy and reliving the joys of playing the original trilogy.

I may be biased because Jak & Daxter is my favorite platformer and I think it paved the way for other great series' such as Ratchet & Clank. I've long waited for Jak 4 on the PS3 -but Naughty Dog just revealed that "Last of Us" was made instead of a Jak 4 because the team ran into trouble while attempting to design it. But as they always say "never say never".As for this collection, it's the next best thing. The HD visuals are definitely an upgrade to the originals on PS2 (particularly 2 & 3). Frame rate is smooth and the environments look great. I do not own a 3D television so I can't comment on that, although I have read that it is well done.
If you're a fan of the series, you'll be very pleased. If you've never played Jak & Daxter before, this is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the best platformer created IMO for $39. In addition, there are trophies to collect! Enjoy!

Nostalgia is exactly what companies are banking on when they re-release games like this. Having sold off this game a long time ago with my first PS2 I was happy to see one of the most charming platformers of last generation return. Obviously they can't change the very dated polygon counts, but the textures look sharp and after a while you realize how great these games looked for the time they were released. Worth buying if you like the series, personally I'm a bit partial to the first Jak & Daxter.Read Best Reviews of Jak & Daxter Collection Here
Before I begin, let's get one thing straight. I am not reviewing any of the games right now, I am simply reviewing the quality of the HD ports themselves. The Jak and Daxter games are by far one of my favorite games in the world, so if you want to know whether I like these games, I do. I like them a lot.Now. The games are still good, and still playable even against today's standards. But the quality of the HD port is probably one of the worst in the HD Remasters series. Elements that are present in other HD ports are missing from the port. The games run at a fluid 60FPS, but all of the Jak games ran at 60FPS to begin with. All previous framerate issues with the PS2 versions have been fixed, so instead of being a variable 60FPS, it now runs at a constant 60FPS.
A new Stereoscopic 3D effect was added into all three games for all of you people who own a 3DTV, and it does the job. It's pretty good for a simple conversion. But, as you'll read below, I feel like the need for 3D was unnecessary, and easily could have been put on hold so that more pressing technical matters could have been fixed first.
What can be considered a huge negative towards the quality of the ports themselves is the apparent lack of anti-aliasing. Previous HD Collections, such as Metal Gear Solid HD, God of War HD, etc., all have rendering resolutions of 720p. Jak and Daxter HD also renders at 720p, but it lacks the sufficient amount of anti-aliasing that the other ports have that really give the makeovers that fresh, satisfying look that we expect from a big collection. In MGS HD and GoW HD, jagged lines are limited to almost none. On the flipside, Jak HD suffers from many jagged lines that are plainly noticeable. Someone over at Mass-Media (the people who ported the Jak games to the collection) forgot that anti-aliasing is something of importance to these remasters, and the difference really shows.
To be fair, however, the lack of anti-aliasing is certainly an issue but it's something that's not noticeable when you're in constant motion in the game. You'll notice the jaggies when you're standing still or when things are going slowly, but the "natural motion-blur" that comes with the framerate will usually blur up all the jaggies enough so that you won't see them when you move.
Also present is a few rendering issues that come with Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. Jak 1 did not support 16:9 resolutions, it only supported 4:3. In the collection, the aspect ratio was changed and fixed, so now we have a full 16:9 ratio. However, some foliage and details in the background seem to "pop-in" when they're outside of the 4:3 border. This wouldn't be a problem if the borders were there, except now they're not, so the player can plainly see those extra few leaves on the tree and a few boulders and rocks just popping in every time you move the camera a little bit. It doesn't happen too often, and usually it's not really noticeable unless you're REALLY looking for it, but the issue is there. Thankfully, because Jak II and Jak 3 natively supported 16:9 resolutions, no additional work was really required, and that problem is eliminated.
Overall, a solid 4/5. The collection itself is great; sticking 3 of the best PS2 games onto one Blu-Ray disc and adding trophies and 3D for just $40 is an excellent deal. However, the HD port themselves just seems rather lazy; it seems like Mass-Media just stuck the games onto a PS3, forced it to render at 720p, added 3D and widescreen to Jak 1 and called it a day. It feels sort of rushed, and as you play you'll feel like the port could have been improved so much more with just a little bit more time focused into adding something as simple as anti-aliasing to games that don't even use up the PS3's power. I can't really see a reason why the collection didn't use anti-aliasing in the first place, and thus, the port just seems sloppy and lazy.

The Jak trilogy was games made by Naughty Dog during the early to mid part of the last decade. However this collection was not made by Naughty Dog but it was ported by a different company. Anyway if you have never played Jak then I would recomend to pick it up right now, cause these games are defiantly in my top 10 ever made. The genre that these were in is just about dead on this generation of consoles (except for super mario galaxy and very few others) thanks to all the first person shooters so this was a nice break to relieve my childhood and remember where everything was for the trophy s. Which speaking of trophys there is trophys for each of the 3 games and while the 1st is a mostly an easy platinum (except for finding every single orb in the game)the 2nd and 3rd games are very challenging to get all the trophy's for. The Graphics have been extremely improved expecilly the 2nd and 3rd games. The 1st has been improved a lot to but not quite as impressive but keep in mind that was one of the 1st good ps2 games. Anyway I'll have a short review for each of the games but if you have never played Jak and Daxter stop reading and buy it now.Jak and Daxter-9/10 My first ps2 game also one of my favorite games of all time unlike the other Jak games this one is more like Super Mario 64 but better
Jak 2-10/10 Same as the first one this is one of my favorite games ever made and I know a lot of people like the 3rd better I actually preferred this one but this game is pretty much more platforming game and gran theft auto combined to make one epic game
Jak 3-8.5/10 this is a good end to the trilogy but I have only played this one a few times before and its they only jak game in this collection I haven't beat on ps2 which will change with this collection

I've been a huge rally game fan since the days of CMR 2.0 on the psx. I was really into the WRC games for PS2 developed by Evolution Studios. I have really enjoyed Dirt 1, 2, and 3 but they are seriously lacking some very important elements that I want in a rally game.
WRC 2 gives me all of those elements, well mostly. There are tons of stages, and they are very well laid out with a ton of different surfaces. They could be a bit longer, but that's really my only gripe. The physics feel great, plenty of good feedback (Fantatec CSR Wheel/ PS3) and you can definitely feel the different road surfaces below you in the wheel. The damper jumps up on tarmac for instance, and when you're on snow, you sure do feel it! There are also a ton of real world classes and cars from all classes of rally. I have only completed 10% of the career mode but I have driven a few different types of vehicles: Debut class, S2000, R2, Production class. I have even run a few of the 2011 WRC cars in the arcade mode. The cars feel so different, for instance, the Debut class cars have tons of understeer and if you stomp the gas out of a corner you will go wide every time, while the S2000 and WRC class vehicles can pull awesome four wheel drifts with careful throttle management around a corner.
Each car has a ton of customization options as well, I found myself changing the brake bias closer to the rear on a lot of the R2 and Debut cars to get it to oversteer into a corner so the understeer would compensate automatically.
I love this game. I have read a ton of bad reviews about it, saying that its too arcadey and then in the same sentence yammering on about how Dirt 3 blows it out of the water. Dirt 3 is a great game, but if one is more arcadey than the other, it is definitely dirt 3. WRC 2 requires finesse and patience.
If things like narrow, tricky stages, tons of environments and road surfaces, plenty of car classes and teams, great physics, and a modest, professional style "non EXtREME" interface are the things you find most important in a Rally game...THIS IS THE ONE TO GET!

If you are like me you love sim racing games. I particularly love rally racing games. Up to this point the pinnacle of the genre has been the Colin McRae/Dirt series from Codemasters. Sadly that company has concentrated on making arcade experiences. So this is why I bought WRC 2. The game not only gives you extensive stages to race but each stage has its own identity so it feels fresh and not repetitive. There is also the race team owner RPG element of managing your cars and team personnel. If I am being perfectly honest the only part of the game that could use improvement is the sound. Some cars especially the early ones do not meet the current standards of the racing genre. But don't let that deter you. If you've been waiting for a good rally racing sim you should give WRC 2 a try.Buy WRC 2 - FIA World Rally Championship 2 Now

I am no fan of the later versions of DiRT that focus more on stunt driving than rallying. This has a fun progression system to the Pros that allows you to own your team. This does play more like the original Colin McCrae games from PS1 as far as car control goes. Its challenging and there is a lot pressure that makes you feel like you accomplished something. Its a great addition to any console gamer who likes racing games. Its a sleeper.

Time Crisis 4 (Includes Guncon 3)

List Price: Price Unavailable
Sale Price: Price Unavailable
Today's Bonus:

Time Crisis has never been known for its deep gameplay and complex strategies, but it's still a darn fun series and TC4 is the best one so far.
Time Crisis is basically a target game built around a lightgun, which was/is its major draw at the arcades. The name comes from the limited amount of time you're given to complete each stage; usually you feel like you're running behind the clock.
Sure, you're shooting "people," but there's no blood, dead bodies, exploding body parts, or other gratuitous violence found in many other FPSes. Honestly, I'm thankful for this.
Graphically it looks great, as can be expected of most PS3 games.
The classic arcade version runs "on rails"--your character is moved from position to position by the game, all you do is point, shoot, and RELOAD! (The announcer always screams "reload" for some reason.) TC4 adds the ability to look left and right in some scenes, a gun flashlight, and some interesting new opponents, but otherwise is pretty much the same formula as the earlier games--make it through each chapter without getting shot too many times and fight the boss at the end.
TC4 includes an FPS mode where you can move around using the Guncon's builtin joystick, but I found this frustrating and not nearly as fun as the classic arcade version.
TC4's Guncon is based on the "LED marker" technology used by the Wii and several other new controllers. Older Guncons used a video-sensing lightgun, but that method doesn't work with LCD/LED/plasma/projection TVs. The new design works with any TV, but I've found it is harder to calibrate and it really doesn't feel as accurate as the previous Guncons.
(Note that the new Guncon can't be used with previous TC versions, and old Guncons will not work with TC4.)
Time Crisis can be played with a gamepad, but it's a pain and I don't recommend it--moving the targeting cursor around the screen with a joystick is slow and awkward. The game's sole basis is really the Guncon; believe me, I've tried playing it without (as the old Guncons didn't work with my rear-projection TV....)
Should you buy TC4? For fans of the series it's an easy purchase, especially at the new low prices. If you're unfamiliar with the series, keep in mind there isn't much depth to it as there's no real strategy involved--it's just shoot, shoot, shoot. But for mindless fun and excitement it's hard to beat.

Duck Hunt to Lethal Enforcers to Time Crisis 4...to be honest, not much has changed. TC4 includes a Van Damme made for TV movie plot of a special forces team trying to take down an organization with secret bio-weapons...good enough justification for a game that includes nothing but you shooting at bad guys and insects and dodging their bullets.Down to the nitty-gritty: the feel of the game. Replacing the arcade pedal, which allowed you to dodge and go into firing mode, is a B1 button, located just above your thumb on the shooting hand. To dodge and reload, you have to lift your shooting hand thumb (righties) and press down just behind the hammer. Easy enough, but you'll find your hand getting a bit sore from extended play. You have two analog-toggle controllers where the hammer is and in the section that juts out abruptly from the side of the gun. The first-person free movement is nothing special for experienced gamers, and is a moderate learning curve for beginners.
Accuracy: the game's setup includes two sensors that you manually hang from above the monitor; they're about an inch square and have a non-intrusive rubber-weight system to hold them into place. You'll spend a significant amount of time calibrating the gun to get just the right feel; it's a bit shaky to start, and for a 42" monitor, you have to stand at least about five feet away from the screen. But that's what the mini-games are for.
The mini games are, by far, the funnest part so far. If you've ever played the Point Blank arcade series, you'll enjoy approximately 15 shoot-the-moving-target type games in this section. You can play alternating competitively and also with a second GunCon. Simple fun, which, in essense, sums up the entire game.
The release of more thinker-oriented, patience required games such as Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc., will definitely be a load for gamers...TC4 provides that well-needed break. The free movement merely adds a non-revolutionary variation to the arcade game. It's a true-to-the arcade translation for the home; what you get at Dave And Buster's is what you get at home, plus the mini-games.

i just recieved time crisis and my accuracy is fine. if you run through the 5 point calibration correctly it should be pin point accurate. in fact i was able to snipe people really far away with a pistol. also to comment on the problem of it being to complicated. for me it felt good. of course it took a few minutes to get adjusted to it but i like the controls. as for the price issue. this is only 20 more dollars than a regular ps3 game. so you are basically paying 20 dollars for the gun.they are planning to release more games for the gun so this is a good deal. i recomend this game to anyone. i give huge credit to the creators of this gun as it operates very well for shooting and moving at the same time. and the controls are simple after a little practice. i have ordered the wii zapper and can only pray it functions as well as the guncon.Read Best Reviews of Time Crisis 4 (Includes Guncon 3) Here
Despite horrid reviews and people bashing this game for bad accuracy and a cheap gun, it's really not as bad as they say. In fact, it's not bad at all, it's great.Starting with the gun itself. It very accurate. You can do a standard or 5 point calibration which works very well. You can make the gun as accurate ( or inaccurate as you like). One thing i've found though that may lead people to think it has poor calibration is the tv, not the game. Look at the screen used in the arcade. It's small and square. When you take into account a 40 plus inch widescreen tv, you've got more screen space to shoot at which means you must move the gun to a greater degree that in the arcade. If you unintentionally just move your wrists to aim the gun like i do sometimes, the accurracy is horrible ( so it seems) But it you were to look down the sights of the gun while you had your wrist flex over, you'll realize that it's shooting exactly where your pointing. SO you have to shoot the way you calibrated it. If you hold it like a cop does and shoot the five targets looking straight down the sights, you need to play the game like that. If you lax your grip and lower your gun, then yes, it's not going to be accurate because that's not the way it's calibrated. I believe this is where the whole "horrible accuracy gun" claims derive from.
As for gun quality. It's great. It's definatly not like the arcade, but then again if it was, you would be paying a whole lot more that $75 for it. The bright orange color is the main reason it seems cheap. The plastic casing on it is quite well, the seems are quite smooth and the texture of the plastic is unison. It doesn't have the platic swirls that cheap plastic toys do. The buttons are fine and very functional. the only thing I don't really like is the joysticks. The knobs that pop out are small and they aren't rubberized so my thumbs slip A LOT. But overall, the guns fine.
The game itself is fun too. For all those that complain about bad storylines...well, you don't play a light gun game for the story. It's basically a straight port from the arcade. So if you like the arcade version, you'll really love this because you don't need to constantly feed it quarters.
The FPS mode is unique. It's nothing to write home about. But it's definetly fun to try out. But it gets tiring quickly though because unlike something like Resistance, you have to constantly hold both arms up to shoot.
Overall, if you like TC. This is a no brainer. If your interested in this, you'll definetly find something to like. But if you have no interest in light gun games or TC.....then why are you reading this? =P

The Time Crisis series has been an Arcade and Playstation hit for years. With the evolution of the Guncon we now have a PS3 version. Now some of you may be wondering is an $80+ game worth the price. For me it's a resounding no. Of course on the outside this game has quite a bit of potential. Two versions of the game and even some mini games to keep you busy. It sounds like quite the deal but sadly isn't.Setting up this game is not easy either. When you open the large box you get the new Gun Con 3 with an 8 foot usb cord. The game also comes with two infared devices that go above the t.v. These also connect via usb. For those of you who have a 40 gig PS3 you have just used both your usb ports. Setting up for calibration is not very easy and seems to be rather inaccurate.
The biggest shining light for this game comes from the exciting arcade edition of Time Crisis which still looks good on the PS3. The arcade edition is a lot of fun and feels exactly like the arcade game with all the action. Point down and the gun reloads. Simple controls for an overall good game. This was my first experience with this game and it was really quite an enjoyment.
The major downfall of this game was the PS3 edition of Time Crisis that was made especially for the PS3. Unfortunately where this game lacks is in it's complexity. What really hurts is the several functioning buttons on the Guncon 3. When I say several buttons I mean as many as a normal PS3 controller. I couldn't make up my mind whether I was playing a first person shooter or a gun game. From the beginning you not only go thru the normal shooting but the movement. Trying to get the calibration to work correctly was not very easy. I noticed several times that my shooting was off because of this. I was beginning to feel this would be done much better on the Wii. Having to worry about moving your character in every direction and shooting several enemies is no easy task. I played long enough to realize I didn't want to have to deal with remember the functions of a half dozen buttons.
I have played several Time Crisis games and this one fails on being too complex. Nothing felt natural about having to use a gun to move my character. In all this game had a lot of potential but tried to go way to far. If anything they would have made a simpler game for people who just want to shoot. I would not advise this to anyone unless they are a die hard Time Crisis fan and even then it would be ill advised.

As soon as I received the shipment, I thoroughly inspected my product. The skin was neatly packaged and heat sealed in protective plastic. I found that installing the skin was quite overwhelming because you dont want to waste a good product if you mess up. But, system skins provided full instructions on how to install it. Included the shipment was their business card with a promo code on the back which they did not provide. I figure if a item is ordered from you that you'd want to entice the customer with discount and promo codes but thats just my insight. Continuing on, I installed the skin carefully and I am very happy with my results despite of one thing. I have a 1st generation ps3 which dont have air vents on the bottom front right side if the ps3 is sitting horizontal. The skin has pre-cut areas for the intended vents. So I had to cut the skin to accommidate for the pre-cut areas, which turned out great. All-in all, ordering from System skins was a great experience. I share this with all of you because my transaction with them was great. Only if they would include a promo code with their business card to order from them again.Buy PlayStation 3 Skin (PS3) - NEW - SILVER CHROME MIRROR Now
If you like to throw away $20 bills then this is the product for you. The application method is horrible, you only get one shot, it tears easily even from simply removing it from the backing, it creases easily, it sticks when you don't want it to, the instructions don't help enough. The only positive thing I can say about this is that it looks cool and is shiny its just too bad you wont be able to fit it on. I have never regretted spending my money on something this bad.Read Best Reviews of PlayStation 3 Skin (PS3) - NEW - SILVER CHROME MIRROR Here
The best thing about this item is the customer service I received. The first set of decals I received was junk. They are very easy to screw up on and are very sticky. Long story short the customer service sent me another set. Once again they were sticky (and yes i read the instructions) and the decals where ruined so i gave up. I also had a friend helping me apply them. waste of money!Want PlayStation 3 Skin (PS3) - NEW - SILVER CHROME MIRROR Discount?
That was a complete disaster of the skin. It kept ripping more and more that every time that i put it on my PS3, it was either off track , bubbled up or ripping more.PS3 Skylanders: Spyros Adventure Mega

Note: The Mega Pack includes the traditional system starter pack (with portal, software, and three figures), an additional 3 character set, and the Pirate Seas Expansion. Beware of pricing, though, as Skylanders have been in great demand. Shop around to find the best deals and/or wait until items return to regular stock levels if you can. For example the original MSRP for the three components of this set would have originally run you about $110.00 had you bought them separately.
As a long time Spyro fan, I was pleased to see his reemergence with the hugely popular Skylander's launch. However this is not a Spyro game, he is just one of many colorful characters that Activision is betting your children will clamor for. It's a diabolical, but genius, strategy that transforms an ordinary video game into a collectible franchise. I LOVE it, but the initial investment is just the beginning for anyone who really gets wrapped up in the game will want more more more!
Hardware: The Skylander's game centers its technology around a wireless Power Portal which can communicate with your game system (obviously), but also with your computer. The Power Portal is super cool and a wildly inventive idea that adds a extra dimension to the gameplay. The character (the game is for one or two persons) that you are within the game is determined by which character that is placed on the Portal. And throughout the gameplay, you may change characters as you see fit. It is NOT difficult to set up the hardware even if you aren't particularly tech savvy.
Age: Skylander's is rated for 10+. I think you could undoubtedly push the age level comfortably down a few notches depending on your child's ability. It's not a difficult game to manage. The top age range will vary. The adventure storyline is not particularly challenging, but it's pleasant. Older kids may be bored, but it does get more difficult the further you progress. But there is a challenge/battle component that is engaging for all ages. And heck, as an adult--I just liked to see what the different characters would do!
Adventure Mode: This is a rather straightforward quest type game that pretty much walks you through where you need to go. There is some exploration, but nothing too complex. There are very achievable goals that are spelled out and the game offers plenty of help. The graphics are lovely and whimsical and it's fun to watch. There is a surprising amount of text and talking to establish the storyline, so you might lose the patience of the younger kids. You can buy character upgrades (cool) and compete in assorted peripheral challenges for extra upgrades as well.
Battle Mode: We had some fun with these three head-to-head competitions. This is where you challenge another character to a contest--collecting gems, defeating in combat, or scoring football goals. Even the adults liked these brief bits of fun. And I liked to see which characters would do what! (Are you sensing a recurrent theme?)
Computer: The Power Portal can also be synced to your computer and your characters can inhabit an online world. This is neat and offers a variety of arcade type games that would appeal to younger users. Activision did a great job making the game system experience symbiotic with the computer world as information can be shared about system experiences via the Power Portal.
Expansion Pack: Pirate Seas has one character (Terrafin), a new portal level accessed by using the pirate ship, a power up accessory (cool ghost swords), and a quick income source (treasure chest).
Figures: Here's the hook. The starter kit includes three characters pieces to play which represent three different elemental groups (Magic, Water, and Tech). These figurines are placed on the Power Portal to launch them into the game. To date, there are over 35 total characters that exist for the game. In fact, there are eight total element groups, so just to get one character in each group requires that you purchase at least two more figures beyond the Mega Kit. And as each character has different skills (and is just cool in its own right), if you love the game--you will need to collect.
Here's who you get characterwise:
From original starter pack: Spyro (Magic), Trigger Happy (Tech), Gill Grunt (Water)
From Pirate Seas: Terrafin (Earth)
From 3 Character Set: Eruptor: (Fire), Chop Chop (Undead), Bash (Earth)
You DON'T have a character from LIFE or AIR.
Love the game! Love the characters! Love the technology! But buyer beware, this may not be a one-time investment! KGHarris, 1/12.

I picked this game up to replace last year's version, and as a huge fan of college football I was pleased to see some neat additions (such as icing the kicker) that became a big part of the lexicon during last year's crazy season.
If you've played any of the games in the NCAA series, you know what to expect. Some new features for this year's version include "celebrating with the mascot" where you can run over to the mascot after running a touchdown and perform an animated celebration (mascot worshiping you/dancing around/etc.). The sideline players/cheerleaders/coaches actually exist this year, unlike in NCAA 08 when they mysteriously weren't on the sidelines during a game. You'll see cheerleaders dancing, players on the sidelines getting out of your way, etc. so the stadium atmosphere is much more alive than it was in last year's version.
Some new gameplay options are tweaks to the way running plays work. No longer can you just click 'go' and push forward, you can now find and exploit holes in the defense, you can get your offensive line to shift to one side to cover your option play, you can basically fine-tune your plays a bit more (as well as bluff your play art when playing side-by-side with a friend, something you couldn't do before).
On passing plays, you no longer have to worry about the AI intercepting the ball constantly. If they aren't facing it, they won't catch it. If you throw it directly into coverage though, do expect to be picked off.
Tackling has been upgraded, as has evasion. You can evade tackles if you know what you are doing, and you can also one-arm tackle, hit the player so hard they bust a flip and fall flat on their back, and basically do much more than just dive and pray like in NCAA 08.
Other neat features such as online dynasty mode, the ability to set up songs from playlists to play when certain things happen, downloading rosters, etc. give you much more in terms of having customization over your game.
Basically, each particular area in the game has been tweaked in just the right areas, and this is much more of a transition than 07 was to 08.
Bottom line: If they take what they have here and improve it for NCAA 10 then you can expect me to be a happy gamer for a while to come.
My only caveat with the PS3 version (I have both 360 and PS3) is that the controls are not quite as fluid. More often than not I was passing to the wrong guy, or lobbing the football like a girl. This is probably just due to the sixaxis way of handling the game, but maybe also because I was leaned back when playing and it probably didn't like that orientation. Otherwise excellent choice for your system.

NCAA Football 2009 is by far the BEST yet. Sure, there are still some areas that can be improved upon or fixed. But, the game play, crowd interaction, icing kicker option, and many many other things make this an impressive and incredible game. I have been playing this nightly and can't seem to get enough. This WILL have you screaming from your couch just like watching real NCAA football.COOL ITEMS:
Icing the kicker: Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but it's a cool and welcomed addition to the reality of football.
Turnovers aren't quite that easy: In 2007-08, picks and fumbles were all over the field. Now, having to be more aligned with the ball and needing a bit more skill, it's not a turnover free for all.
NOT SO COOL ITEMS:
Celebrate with the Mascot: It's cool for the first few times but gets a bit repetitive or boring. Would be great if you could use select buttons to execute a celebration (or unlock celebrations with 'user' points
The graphics can be a bit "choppy". Someimes the ball magically moves out of the QBs hands or receptions go through a players head/arms. These glitches should have been fixed by now considering the technological & graphical improvements already made.
Guessing the defense when you turn the ball over? What does this really get you other than an intermission? And added feature would be gaining coaching experience points when getting it right in order to unlock hidden playbooks or even plays of the other team (game film for future games).
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE FUTURE (IF EA EVER LOOKS AT AMAZON): User tackles and such don't do much for you: Would recommend making 'user points' like you get with Madden. Maybe then you can earn points toward player improvements, coaching improvements, or even buy things for your campus (a new library, new uniforms). Just would make it even more fun to knock around people and have interaction! Include this and a celebration addition and it'll be even greater!
Overall I give this 5 STARS and recommend it to anyone that LOVES football. It's as real as it gets!I was hesitant about buying this game after being disappointed in the last several years versions, but I will say this year is an improvement.
I like the improvements made with the recruiting assistance, the player graphics and animations are better, I like the way the pre-snap routes will be squiqqly when playing on the road in a hostile environment, the re-addition of the cheerleaders is a good thing, and just playing the game is funner than last years.
I am disappointed in the way the crowd looks though, and there are a few glitches that bug me as well, such as when you throw passes near the sidelines your player will tip-toe and stretch to make the catch and fall down, even if they're not right next to the sideline, and have plenty of open field ahead of them. There are still some things that they can be improved upon to make it an even more enjoyable game playing experience, but I still like it.

First thing...this game is far and away a superior title to last years horrendous offering, and don't get me started about the 07 version. Gameplay is much improved with the game having a more natural feel and flow to it overall. You actually get a sense that you have some control over what you're doing, and what you may do next, when it comes to running with the ball. The previous versions were nothing more than an advanced guessing game with some less than intuitive button mashing going on to try and get to the next level. With 09, you can see the play developing and can react accordingly. The passing game benefits from this as well...I no longer feel immediate pressure to get the ball in the air the second I snap it. There is no issue with setting up to throw and finding a receiver for the most part. Of course you don't have all day either, and it's this solid balance that gives it that more authentic feel while running your offense.Defensively...there is still alot of guess work involved...especially with rushing the passer. I wish it was more intuitive in regard to collision detection with the offensive lineman while using a defensive line player. I'm hoping this is something that gets easier to gauge as I continue to play. Linebacker play isn't all that bad, but you have to be careful not to lean on that left stick too much before the snap, or you will quickly put yourself either offside or out of position. Secondary play might as well not be allowed. I don't know anyone that ever bothers to start with a defensive back when playing these games.
Overall...very fun game. Would like to see some of the old PS2 bells and whistles added back in...like editing my coach, or playbook editing...but this is still a very fun game.
It looks amazing as well! I am so glad that the players no longer look like someone placed some plastic army men under a heat lamp anymore. The sizing and scaling of the player models is more true to life than it had been on next-gen consoles. They all still look like their skating up field still, but this is a very small issue considering that they have definitely improved on the player animations when tackling and making plays. (I flipped the first time one of my players broke into the open and then "looked back" at everyone after a few more steps)
The mini-games seem like they would be a great way to have fun online. Not sure how interesting the online dynasty will be...but we'll see...and one last thing...the recruiting has been revamped to make it as easy or involved as you would like it to be. (HUGE improvement!!)
Bottom line...BIG fun...grab your wallet...pick this one up!I purchased this game for two boys who have really enjoyed this game. The only drawback is that it is so much fun...they don't want to stop playing it. As part of the game, they had to choose a major and then take exams. Which I thought they would hate, but they actually love it. The game requires that they maintain a certain GPA. And they compete in the football part as well as the GPA part. It's funny to listen to them answering the questions and trying to remember what they had learned previously in a class. Not sure how much fun this would be for someone who just wants to sit there and play video football non-stop all day and not have to think about anything the entire time. While the tests are easy enough, if you don't know the answers and you don't maintain your GPA you will have to start your football game over again. It's No Pass, No Play in a video game.

I got his controller skin for my girlfriend, because she likes the color purple and it kinda looks like the Pack-A-Punched Wunderwaffe from COD (which she also likes). As a decal skin, I like it, I prefer actual controller shells, but since it costs more to get a shell, or a new controller itself, this is worth the price.Want Sony PS3 Controller Decal Style Skin - Electrify Purple Discount?
It is a pretty stick, it's been a few months and it's still firmly attached to the controller. Not much to say it's pretty and sticks well.
