Got for 6 year old son. He really enjoys it. Graphics are great and it doesn't seem that hard for him to figure out.

very strategic and yet easy enough for as young as 4yrs old to play, I bought as a bithday gift for my 20yr old, thought i'd steer him away from his pro wrestling and golfing games and into something cute, he and his girlfriend really like it and they both say it's a fun and cute violence animal sillyness style.

Just as much fun as the movie! The characters have the same voices they had in the movie so it is familiar from the get go. It comes with 2 pairs of 3D glasses but we haven't figured out how to make it look 3D. There is nothing in the literature that came with the game. There is nothing on the Disney website and no one at our local game stores knows how to use the 3D feature either. But the game is fun to play and fun to watch. Even spectators start coaching, calling out suggestions. Very engaging. Really don't even care about the 3D. Just find it odd that there are useless 3D glasses in the box.

I am not your average gamer. I am 60 years old and have been playing video games of all vintages (starting with Pong)for over 30 years. This game is simply fantastic. The story line is interesting, the game objectives are challenging but not impossible to attain and the graphics are simply amazing. I have always found this period of history (the Crusades) to be fascinating. Assasin's Creed allows you to immerse yourself in this virtual world of the Middle East where at times you feel you are really there. I don't recommend this game at all for younger children or even immature teens. There is a significant amount of blood and violence, as there would have been during the historic period virtualized in the game. I had just purchased my PS3 to replace a broken PS2 and have not been able to bring myself to play other games I purchased. If you are a gamer who likes role playing games, I highly recommend Assasin's Creed.

Ok I've been reading up on all the five star reviews on this game and I'm sorry, It's just not as innovative and mesmerizing as most people are saying and certainly not as good as us gamers had hoped for. (there's alot to cover so sorry for the length of the review)

Let me start out by saying this is a good game. When I started playing as Alteir the assasin, I thought it was the most amazing thing ever just because the scale of the amazingly designed cities and towns. Just walking around and looking at the scenery and people is fun but unfortunately, after eight hours of gameplay, (which is where I am at) it truly fails to stay fresh, you start noticing alot of the games problems and glitches and at this point, I'm almost forcing myself to continue on.

After the game starts, you see the scale and technological advances this game carries, you walk around and anxiously wait to run the streets freely and start killing people. When I first rode into Damascus on a white horse by means of a beautiful mountain pass that I had to go through, i thought this had to be the greatest game ever. It looks so great and going to locations such as Jerusalem and Damascus is just awesome.

But unfortunately, the scenery just isn't enough. To start, one thing that really makes this game get old fast is that everytime you go to a city, you do the same routine over and over and over again: You sneak into a city, you find some really high towers or "view points" which fill up your map and shows you the places to go. You go to the assasin's headquarters (there's one in every city) and they give you tedious little quests you must do before you can assasinate a target.

Your regular routine of tedious objectives consists of pitpocketing guys for information, interrogation, which consists of finding your target, following him until he reaches a secluded spot, then punching him until he gives you what you want. You can also meet informants who give you little chores (such as killing guys and doing the same crap you already have to do for the assasin's headquarters) and in exchange for your hard work, they give you information so as you can see, everything you do is for information on your next target. These little quests get EXTREMELY old after hours and hours of gameplay. They really arent challenging, they don't change or get harder and are only really fun the first five times you do them. You do the same crap over and over and over again in every city. (and not to knock on the the awesome looking cities or aything but truth is, apart from some bigger buildings and smaller buildings, the cities don't look THAT much different.)

When walking the cities and doing your quests, of course you are challeneged by the city guards who are constantly on the lookout for you. You have some pretty cool weapons to take care of them, such as thowing knives, a sword ( the swordfighting looks really cool), and a cool sharp spike which you can pull out or retract from just under Alteir's left hand. This weapon is used for stealth kills. Of course you also have moves and counterattacks you get as you progress.

In the upper left hand corner of the screen, you have your health bar and little meter that changes color depending on the guards: White for the guards are "unaware", Yellow for "Suspicious" and Red for "alerted".... The meter is almost always yellow which means you are supposed to hold the X button and walk EXTREMELY slow until the meeter changes to white. When you actually do that, (which takes forever) all it takes is ten seconds and the meter goes back to yellow... So naturally you're always on yellow but the enemy AI is not the best. You can silently kill a guy with your spike right in front of a guard and although it is a "silent kill", the guy will scream and fall to the ground and the guards will walk right past... but if you're just walking on the street, they might get alerted for no evident reason.

Another low point, which is kind of funny to watch is the guards amazing ability to keep up with you which is really ridiculous. To get away, you can climb up walls, get to the top of tall buildings and very unrealistically jump across rooftops... and the guards will keep up with you... You are a trained assasin but regular guys in heavy armor will climb up walls and pursue you across the largest of rooftop jumps... Just as ridiculous, you can run from one side of the city to the other, the meter will stay red and you can try to blend in but the guards on the other side of the city somehow just know you are the guy being chased 1-2miles away on the other side of the city and they will attack you... Did they have radios during the crusades so people on the other side of the city could warn others of you presence? As for hiding from the guards, this I felt was another low point. The cities are huge but you really have only three spots to hide: hay stacks, little square garden houses on rooftops and if you are being chased, you can just sit down on a bench and the guards will run right past you and you will be safe... There are trees everywhere but you cant climb or hide in them. There are barrels, crates, doors and shops you think you would be able to jump into but no... you have to sit on the bench... There are no disguises or such froms of deception that you can use. The idea of vast and creative options is just absent.

Now for the actual assasinations. (sorry. i know this review is long) The assasinations, while still fail to remain something mouth-dropping and new do have a bit of newness to them. You have to assasinate nine specific guys in the game and each pose a different challenge. Now don't misunderstand, you are still doing the same crap to kill the nine guys as you would be doing to kill anyone else but without spoiling anything, you will find each main assasination a bit different from the last, followed by a cinemeatic while the target dies. After each assasination, you return to the boss and he gives you the next target.

Believe it or not, although this is a very mission based game, (you just get one mission after the next) it does have a bit of story in the mix. The main character can think for himself (but unfortunately has some of the worst voice acting i have ever heard) and there are other characters but there aren't really any other "real" characters. Sure there are guys that you speak to for a mission but there aren't any real new characters that pop up and the game just doesn't really have alot of character such as a game like Metal Gear beacuse the game just remains the same. But, without spoiling anything, there is a major story twist... which you actually discover at the beginning of the game... which is kinda weird but you can determine for yourself whether it's a good twist or a bad twist.

Finally, i have to include some of the horrible glitches i have come across. Are these glitches a cause of the ps3 or the game? I can't really say for sure but I'm pretty sure its the game for my ps3 has worked great with every other game. Whenever you pass a crowd of people on the streets, every once in a while, if you turn the camera around quickly to look back, the people will have ALL dissapeared randomely, then if you look back again, they will be back in place... This has happened to me the other way around as well. Ontop of that, while i'm ruinning around, my character has just frozen in midair. Now the game itself didn't freeze, just my character. It looked like something in the matrix. My character was in midair while everything else was moving and i had to restart my ps3. Weird.

In conclusion (finally, i know this is a long one) Assasin's creed is a good game and I am still enjoying it but this was supposed to be one of the greatest games of this generation and it could have been but the only thing that really makes this a cool game now, i beleive will be a common thing in all next gen gaming titles and in a year, this game won't be remembered as anything. Now the question is: should i trade in Assasin's Creed for Uncharted which comes out next week??

I was a little skeptical this game would live up to the hype. Then some diminished reviews came around and I was already feeling a let down. Where could they go wrong? Was my thoughts. Well that didn't stop me from purchasing this game. After 30 minutes I was blown away. All skepticism was gone and I was in Gamer Heaven.

Let me start off from the beginning. Yes there is a plot twist and it's pretty bizarre. Just think that your watching a Michael Crichton movie and it will make sense. Playing in the Middle East several hundred years ago is a different idea. It's hard to say what you could expect with this concept.

So what makes this game amazing. Lets start off with the landscape. It's brilliant and beautiful...Really majestic. You don't understand the scope of this game until you start playing. The world is surrounded by several small villages and three large cities. The only way to travese this open terrain with a horse. Fortunately they are about as easy to find as a car in todays society.

What also sets this game apart is the ability to do what you want when you want. There is no clock on you and your not stuck going into a mission. Everything is open based. The character is amazingly fun to control you can scale tall buildings and make amazing leaps of faith. Climbing up a building that is several stories and then leaping to certain doom is breathtaking excitement. This is what games should be about.

Beyond that is a mission based game. Similiar to Grand Theft Auto in style. You can accept simple missions like pickpocketing and protecting citizens to the more main based assasin missions. You can battle soldiers if you want as you have many enemies but it's not really advised. Following the assasin missions can be complex and involve several steps that make the story very intresting. Obviously a lot of time was put into making this top notch.

For anyone who likes open based games with large environments then Assassins Creed is for you. From the majestic peaks to the clustered cities. This is trully a next gen experience. The storyline and incentive program will keep you playing for many hours. Definately a worthwhile gameplay experience. If you want something to keep you busy that doesn't involve guns go out and get Assasins Creed.

I just purchased this game a few days ago (finally got that PS3 for Christmas) and thought I would do a review of my own. Many people here have been concentrating on all the cons this game has, or just saying that it's awesome. Here's what I have seen so far. Also, this is going to be a long review. Bear with me, but I hope that it is informative and not boring or useless.

*May contain spoilers, depending on how much you know about the game*

Pros:

1) The cities are huge and beautifully detailed. Walking around looking and listening is very fun (at least for a while, I admit it does get a little old). There are some interesting characters to interact with (I've started punching the beggar women and the drunks who have shoved me into the water at Acre's port too many times for me not to retaliate). You can climb virtually any building, too, and near the end of the game, all areas are open to you.

2) The music is great. Each city has its own signature song, but it isn't long and overly played. The instruments and melodies used are also what you would expect for a game set in the Middle East, but there are also times when you will experience a full Latin chorus. The song for Damascus reminded me of The Mummy, and Masyaf's signature song is just great.

3) Maybe it's just because I like horses, but riding through the Kingdom on my way to the quests was a lot of fun. Altair is as good on a horse as he is on his feet.

4) Sidequests: There are hundreds of flags to find (100 in each of the following three cities) in Damascus, Jerusalem, and the Kingdom, as well as a significant amount in Acre and Masyaf (63 [?] for Acre and 20 for Masyaf). And don't forget about those Templar Knights. There are 60 to find; I've only managed to take care of 22 so far, and I'm at a high enough level where I feel confident to actually go searching for them. They can be difficult enemies, too, especially in the beginning stages of the game.

5) The fighting. Oh, the fight sequences are so much fun. I've started provoking guards just to practice my moves. It's so realistic, and I think the game gives the player so much control over Altair and what he does. You have to be quick, too, in order to react, and you have to know which move to perform, as well as getting the right timing. Mashing buttons isn't going to work with this game; in fact, it can get you killed.

Altair is an extremely good fighter. He is skilled and proficient, as the mini cutscenes show when he performs a counter attack or combo kill. These are fun and awe-inspiring to watch if you're a nerd like me...make sure to try out counters and combos with all weapons to see Altair's different moves. (Also pay attention to the guards' faces and what they say when/after he performs them, too.)

His weapons are what you would expect for a 12th century fighter, too. He has a sword; a short, curved blade he keeps on his back; five or ten throwing knives, depending on your level (EDIT: I was just upgraded to 15 knives); his fists; and, of course, that really awesome blade in place of his ring finger that is retractable and is used for stealth kills. (FYI, the throwing knives are also good for stealth kills, and almost preferable, in my opinion.) He doesn't have med packs that save his health, and he doesn't have unlimited ammo for the knives. Adds a little difficulty to the game.

Along those same lines, the way the game handles "death" is innovative and interesting. Desmond is a character who is Altair's descendant; he is experiencing Altair's story as a "genetic memory". The sheer fact that Altair is his ancestor means that Altair could not have died during the time the game takes place (unless he had some kids beforehand). So each hit Altair takes is seen as a deviation from the actual memory of what happened, and when the memory is too far deviated, the memory is lost and must begin again. Pretty cool.

6) The freedom the player has. You pretty much get to choose what order you want to complete assassinations in. You decide if you want to use stealth and the roofs to sneak up on your target, or if you want to go in for a full-frontal assault. If you want to go straight back to Masyaf after completing an assassination, the game gives you that option, but you can also say "No" and take a horse ride through the Kingdom instead. If you want to go find some flags or Templars before completing a side-quest, knock yourself out. The game doesn't force you to do anything.

Cons:

1) Repetitive. This is something that I'm sure everyone who has played this game has noticed. In each city, there are tall buildings called "view points" that Altair must climb, and from there he is able to pinpoint some necessary sidequests. Saving civilians from guards is a lot of fun. Not only does it give you a reason to fight some guards, but your reward is either a group of men who will literally restrain guards who chase you, or a group of scholars you can blend with. You can also interrogate (follow someone into a secluded area, beat him for information, and then kill him), eavesdrop, and pickpocket letters and maps from people. Assassination missions never change, either. You have your target, you find him and kill him, and return to the bureau. It is never changed with time of day, weather, or anything. As much fun as it is to carry out these missions, they do get old after a while.

2) The guards. Altair is supposed to be this crazy awesome skilled assassin. He can climb up buildings, run easily over rooftops, dodge through big crowds...so it was really disappointing (and shocking) when I was chased for the first time and realized that the guards were keeping up with me and could catch up if I made even the smallest mistake. Also, the AI of the guards can be obnoxious at times. Even when they're in yellow mode (I believe this is called "Suspicious"), they won't react if you climb a building right in front of them, even though they are supposed to be on the lookout for an assassin (especially true during the later missions where the assassination targets are well aware they are being hunted). If they did react, it would limit the player's ability to do whatever he/she wants, but it takes away from the game a little bit. Also, in the Kingdom the rival guards (basically any that aren't a part of the Brotherhood) are always on "Alert" which means they will attack if you show the smallest indiscretion. This includes jogging on foot or trotting the horse. So it gets really frustrating to have to walk very slowly by all those guards when I'm pretty sure they would already have noticed the guy in the white robe carrying weapons who is the only one they will ever encounter in that region riding a horse. (Everyone else is on foot).

3) Altair's voice acting. It lacks emotion at all times. Plus, he speaks with an American accent. Everyone else around him has an accent from a Middle Eastern region, or one from England and France (Acre) and some sort of Germanic language I've also noticed. Someone told me this is because the machine Desmond uses to experience Altair's memories translates all languages into English...but I'm not sure if that even explains it. If anyone has any theories or knows the actual answer, please comment on this review and tell me!

4) Some of the sidequests you have to do for informers can be ridiculously hard, especially when you have a time limit. Stealth killing five soldiers in a crowded street in five minutes is almost unfeasible (and I thought I was getting good at the game).

Well, that's what I can come up with. Sorry it was long, but I hope it was helpful. Maybe I'm hyping the game because it's my first one for PS3, but I really enjoy it. The repetition of the gameplay will undoubtedly turn many people off, but when you think about it, there's not a whole lot more for Altair to do. He's an assassin. He has jobs to do. He's not going to take a vacation to an oasis somewhere and be sucked into missions there. If you're a history lover, a gamer who likes combat better than storyline, or someone who has always wanted (secretly or not) to be a kicka$$ sword-wielding, death-dealing assassin, you will probably enjoy this game. Luckily it's a greatest hit now and is a little cheaper than new PS3 releases, too.

And hopefully the sequel that will supposedly be released in 2010 will fix this game's "cons".

There was alot of hype surrounding this game when it came out and I bought into it. I watched the trailer and read reviews and was just blown away because the graphics, the gameplay, and the whole concept just looked so awesome. People were saying this was going to be a freeform game like Grand Theft Auto, a "medieval Grand Theft Auto". Well, nothing could be further from the truth. Basically the game consists of going from town to town, finding the target you need to assassinate, killing him, and then repeat. Even though the towns appear to be bustling with life and activity, there is actually nothing to do in the towns, except side missions of finding flags and saving citizens from the guards. Yep, that's it. No money to collect, nothing to buy, no extra abilities to attain. You can "pickpocket" but you can only pickpocket certain guards and the only items you can steal are....throwing knives.

Watching the trailer I was under the impression there would be beautiful cutscene videos explaining the story. Well, there are none. The story is explained by the characters in ingame graphics talking through long, boring monologues. Also, you find out that you're not actually playing the assassin, but his modern day "ancestor" who is living his past memories. I'm still wondering why they did this, since it contributes nothing to the story or the game, and I found myself sighing in boredom every time they cut back to the assassin's modern counterpart since I knew I was in for another 5-10 minutes of talking that has nothing to do with the game.

I have to say that the graphics are amazing, but the "wow" factor wears off after about 10 minutes and all that's left is the gameplay, and I have to say that the gameplay sucks. You're supposed to sneak around and assassinate your target, but you find out that the easiest way to kill them is to just rush in and start hacking and slashing and then run away from the guards, and that's what you're going to be doing most of the time.

I just feel really disapointed after buying and playing this game because I feel like it has so much potential. If only there was more stuff to do in the game. Before I got this game I envisioned being able to steal horses in towns and run off with them, stealing money from people, buying new and different weapons in towns, having a bunch of side missions to do in every town. Well, within the first 10 minutes of playing I realized this wasn't going to be the case. I'm still scratching my head as to why this game got such good reviews.

-By far the coolest looking of all PS3 models currently available. Hardware wise this is the same PS3 you know and love, with only a couple differences. First this is ONLY available in Japan and Asian regions respectively. Second for those that live outside the region it may also be noted that X is O, which means you use O to confirm and X to cancel. Third DVD playback is restricted to the region from where the console is brought from, which means if you buy a Japanese model you have to use R2 DVD's for playback or R3 DVD's if you buy anywhere outside of Japan. Blu-ray however is the same as in the U.S. since its region A. (PAL users should opt for a HK model as PAL is used in the HK region.) Last but not least power usage and voltage: If you live in the U.S. buy the Japanese model since Japan use 100-110v, which will work with any American outlet. For European and Australian users, use should consider buying the Hong Kong or Korean version of the console since they are rated with 220-240v rating.

DVD Region 2 (Japan), Region 3 (Hong Kong, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, etc)

Blu-ray Region A (Disappointment for EU users)

Control Scheme X is O in Japan and Asia. X=Cancel O=Confirm

Voltage Japan (100-110v) Asian (220-240v). **If your region does not match the power rating of the console you will have to buy a transformer or converter w/ the correct plug port in order to use the machine in your region.**

Bought this dual charge base not too long ago and am very pleased with its performance. very straight forward as far as functionality, charges 2 controllers (can charge up to 4 because it has 2 usb ports on its base) and it plugs into the wall so no more need to leave the ps3 running if you need a charge.

The charger's design is very smart looking and it makes for a nice controller organizer and display. While the controllers are charging, the holsters are lit (red while charging; green when fully charged).

Highly recommend this product for anyone who owns a ps3.

Worth the 30 bucks I paid for it, it allows me to be super lazy. It looks much better than I even thought it would. Can be tricky to get the usb ports to line up the first time or two, but once you get the feel it becomes easy. The controllers lock in pretty well, I even saw someone wall mount this with the controllers being held against gravity. Overall a good piece of kit!

This charging station is easy to use and does a fantastic job. It is also the most aesthetically pleasing charging station for the PS3 I have seen. It matches the glossy black with silver accent that the PS3 has.

This is a nice little charger for the price. I was planning on buying mine from Amazon.com, but I actually picked it up from a local store tonight instead.

My favorite part about this charger is that it plugs into the wall, not the PS3, so I don't have to have it on to charge it or use the USB ports on my PC to keep all the controllers charged. Another nice little feature is that when you plug the controller in a red light turns on and when the charge is complete it turns green. Also there are 2 USB ports built into the side of this charger, so it cradles two controllers, but can charge two more if you have two charging cables. Very nice product. Well put together, looks nice, only one cord now. If you're looking for a quality charger, this is it.

When DBZ Budokai 1 came out I immediately fell in love with the game. 2 years later, Budokai 3 came out and it exploded into a new intense era of DBZ games. I remember spending countless hours and hours playing Budokai 3 and after it's 10 year release of 2002 the series of DBZ Budokai is still amazing. The remastered collection brings out the most upbringing graphics of today's standards. The visuals make the game even more intense and fun as well. To be honest, I was never fond of the Tenkaichi series because it drifted away from the fighting style in which Budokai containted. Although both series have their own set of standards, I choose the Budokai series instead since there was so much action and criteria.

Budokai 1 contains 23 characters

Budokai 3 contains 38 characters including 8 fusions and reincarnations which total 46 characters.

Pros:

Remastered in HD

Supports trophies

Beautiful graphics

Intense action and fighting (especially Budokai 3)

Cons:

No online multiplayer

DBZ Budokai 2 is not included

Price should at least be $30

Other characters should have been imported from DBZ Infinite World such as Super Android 17, Baby Vegeta, Pan, etc.

Nevertheless if you are new to the DBZ Budokai series and like and/or love fast action packed fighting games, then this is the game you will definitely want to pick up and play. As for old comers, you will still enjoy the game it left out since 2002 :D

P.S

For new comers, I would play Budokai 1 first so you can see and learn the origin of how the Budokai series started and as you go into Budokai 3, be prepared to be spend countless hours of staying home and playing it :D

P.S.S

What 9000? :O!!!

First off I will say this game is the same as Budokai 1 and Budokai 3, except with better graphics, achievements/trophies, and new music.

People seemed to be concerned about the music, the fact that the origninal music from the Budokai games was replace with the new music from the Tenkaichi games is due to the fact the composer for the Budokai games had plagerized the soundtrack from another artist. Due to the that the music was changed.

Aside from that this game is an excellent buy, with the only knock on it being there is no online mode.

I wish they had the original soundtrack for the games and actually took the time to recreate the entire game in HD rather than take shortcuts, but it is great to be able to go and play one of my all time favorite games. The fight scenes in Budokai 3 are absolutely phenomenal in high definition. Even though so much got changed and taken out, these are still bad ass games.

This is a great game to play all over again. I remember why I liked it so much the first time it was released on the PS2. This is a great fighting game even after all these years. Hey, I apologize in advance for the super-long review but this is an immense game so maybe it deserves a long review. I'll see if I can abbreviate it a little but I'm afraid it will stay 'long' no matter what I do.

Hmmm... I worked so hard to bring my beloved Uchigatana to a +6 but now Ben, Bladwin's brother they are both blacksmiths suggests that I give it to him and he's going to make a Crescent Uchigatana +1 out of it. A PLUS ONE out of my +6? Yes, my kids advise, go for it. While it's true that the Plus One Crescent does only 75 damage vs. my +6's 153, my current level of magic 35 should add at least 92 points of magic attack to the physical damage and, with the help of a few dozen Darkmoon stones (lots of Grim Reapers had to die for me to harvest them) and less than 10,000 souls (a bargain) I can immediately upgrade it to Crescent +3 and with THAT weapon, my friends, it only takes one quick slash to dispose of a silver skeleton and I can do away more than half a dozen low-level zombies with one swing. And, did I mention that it will slowly restore my MP (magic points) while I'm wearing it so I don't really need to keep the Fragrant Ring on and I could use the Sharp Magic ring instead to further boosts my magic strengths including Uchigatana's power but, true, it WILL lower my magic defenses. Or use the Thieves' Ring while in Queen's Tower prison so that the lovely bell-ringing octopus-head prison guards (good looking girls with a passion for electrocuting and stabbing while hugging you tight) won't notice me. And the Thieves' Ring seems to do well with those giant flying stingrays. They do notice me eventually but it makes them less vigilant so there are fewer of those 15-foot long, self-homing spikes they keep shooting at me when they get angry or suspicious.

Did I say too much? Then, let me say this. Granted, I'm a slow player because I really like to enjoy my games so maybe this is not typical but, after some 400 hours of play, Yesssss... got my Platinum my only so far and, until maybe until Elder Scrolls V comes around, likely to stay this way.

BRIEFLY

Demon's Souls is, in my view, one of the best fantasy RPGs that ever came to a game console. If you don't mind stabbing, slashing, shooting, cleaving, crushing, tearing, punching, scratching, infecting, slicing, burning or poisoning your enemies (and have the same thing done to you) and watching them die as they bleed, scream, decompose and sometimes howl in agony or even beg for mercy. And you'll be facing several classes of zombies, gargoyles, giant flying stingrays, knights in shining or all-black armors swinging what you could safely call 'weapons of mass destrctions' in the shape of ten-foot long meat cleavers at you, leeches, rats, blobs with shields on top of them, daemons of all shapes an sizes, grim rippers, octopus-headed ladies, immensely powerful fire-breathing dragons, giant steel spiders, huge worms with human faces.

Coming from someone who's played the Ultima series way back in the 80's and who's still waiting for the next in the Scrolls of the Elders, having enjoyed Oblivion more than any other console RPG, saying that Demon's Souls is 'awesome' should mean something. But, I was trying to briefly describe the game so, here it is, the story line in a paragraph, as dark and impossibly complicated as it could possibly come out of Japan. A king attempts to keep his kingdom Boletaria prosperous by means of some dark rituals involving the consumption of souls which, eventually, awakens the Old One, a great demon whose awakening unleashes lesser but still immensely powerful demons who quickly begin feasting on the regular people souls themselves while the kingdom is enveloped by a mysterious fog, isolating it from the rest of the world. None but one who went into the fog ever returned and that one told the story everyone in Boletaria is now insane and, unless someone does something, the fog is likely to spread and envelop the entire world. And that's where you, the player, get involved so your mission is to talk the Old One into going back to sleep and maybe save the world.

MY EVALUATION

It's strange how a game that's so unforgiving and that requires you to fight so many battles again and again until you achieve perfection only to have to fight them some more can become so addictive and almost obsessively so. There are three gamers in our family and not only do we wait for our turns but we watch each other playing, share 'funny stories' and tips involving gameplay and lose a lot of sleep when we can afford it and sometimes when we can't. It's probably illogical but, having to fight the same battles many times is not only immersive but it's actually fun and rewarding. On the third or fourth try you know exactly how to defeat the Grim Reaper and you know each individual Gargoyle's style and capabilities and you can play each battle in many different ways by slightly changing your tactics and strategies and the weapons you use until you achieve the perfect stab or slash or cast your spell at the time and place needed for it to hit the mark and to maximum damage. The only thing... before you get to the Grim Reaper you must first annihilate a few dozen other enemies, every single time.

And did I mention that that worlds of Boletaria are simply Awesome? Exploration and discovery are a joy in this game only balanced by the overwhelming sense of fear, dread and desolation oozing out of it. Most of your enemies don't only die when you dispose of them, but they go screaming, screeching or howling. Their bodies bleed and, through the controller, you can almost feel the the flesh tearing apart or stabbed by your blade or their armor breaking into pieces.

Being so hard to master but not impossible because I won't consider myself a great player there is a great sense of accomplishment every time a new boss is defeated, a weapon is upgraded and tried out in the field or a new location is conquered.

I can't give too much praise to the online play elements. You are NEVER alone in Demon's Souls. Other players can watch you and you can see their ghostly outlines as they play. You can leave messages to warn others of dangers and... you can see how they die or sometimes commit suicide. You can help others and sometimes you must defend yourself from those attempting to invade your world and destroy you. And all is smooth and so well integrated into the game's atmosphere that, in the rare occasions when our PS3 loses its network, all seems disturbingly quiet and lonely.

While nothing is perfect and nothing can be perfect and without having finished the game yet, I would say that Demon's Souls is without a doubt a top RPG for the PS3 platform.

GAMESPACE

You act in 5 'worlds' or locations: the Boletarian Palace, the Stonefang Tunnel, the Tower of Latria, the Shrine of Storms and the Valley of Defilement and you can cross from one world into another via the Nexus, a safe space, to the extent that anything built on top of the Old One can be safe, where you do most housekeeping chores. You can move relatively freely inside each world to the extent that you don't mind fighting... everybody all the time and there are gates that take you farther (usually deeper) into the worlds IF you manage to defeat the bosses guarding them.

Along the way, and usually following a fight, you find weapons and armor or items that may help you upgrade your weapons or armor and you decide how to manage your possessions but the main currency in the worlds of Boletaria is now 'souls'. Everyone is after them and the only way you can survive is to get them, usually by killing your opponents and to spend them on things that you need.

But this is only scratching the surface. Your eventual goal is to calm down the Old One by defeating and killing the demons that feed him souls and, as expected, this is not exactly a walk in the woods. How about a walk in swamps infested by some of the most foul and poisonous or disease spreading critters you could never imagine? Or exploring deep and dark tunnels where ghosts and Grim Reapers live, or some immense prison where all have lost their minds and the warden ladies wear tentacles on their heads? Or a mine where... you guessed it right, everyone is insane and they keep acting as if they were working but they will always take a break so that they can chase you around, throw some fireballs at you or drop boulders the size of trucks on you? And if you think that the 'surface' is safer, think huge dragons capable of completely incinerating you with one casual sneeze, or flying stingrays shooting giant ice spears or armored and well-armed skeletons always in a bad mood.

GAMEPLAY

After you create your character name, gender, class, looks you start with very little but, as you gather souls, you pay the blind lady who doesn't look like much but almost everything here is deceiving and she will raise your soul level, allowing you to improve on ability: vitality, endurance, strength, intelligence, magic, faith, dexterity, luck and you will need these abilities to be able to cast spells use certain weapons and generally survive in a world in which there are very few you could call 'friends'.

You progress by improving yourself and your weapons and defeating the various bosses. Doing so is important because the bosses block access to areas where... the next boss can be found.

Once you get killed, something that happens often, you lose the souls that you accumulated and wake up in the Nexus in 'soul form'. And there are ways to regain your body, usually by defeating a boss or... HELPING someone else defeat a boss but acting in human form must be a well-thought decisions. You do have more 'health points' as a 'body' but you are also weaker and while in a body form your world is open to invasion from other players out there. They can show up and kill you and, every time you die (or when you do bad things) the world you died in turns a little 'darker'. And the darker the world, the tougher your opponents become and... you are more likely to find 'good stuff'.

While in 'soul' form, you can volunteer to help other players defeat bosses or simply ride along with them. The reward is that you are revived in body form if, when summoned, you help the other player defeat a boss or maybe defeat an invader who teleported into his world to kill him.

Now, just to make it all a lot more fun, while you are online, the makers of Demon's Souls have the ability to control the so-called 'world tendency' in each of the five worlds, independently of your own actions so a pure-white world may suddenly turn darker and more dangerous or vice-versa.

And this is not all. While playing, you can see the 'blood stains' of the heroes who died on that particular spot. You touch it and you see the last seconds that preceded that hero's death. And you can leave messages to warn others and, you can see in real time, the ghostly images of other players fighting monsters or just running around as you are minding your own business.

And, of course, every time you leave a world for the safety of the Nexus, ALMOST everything other than the bosses and some of the NPCs resets and respawns. So you will be fighting the same battles over and over and over again, using different tactocs, improving your skills until you approach perfection and achieve elegance.

And... how about whole the game resetting itself? It's true, or so I heard that, after you complete the game you can retain some of your hard-earned possessions and skills and go for an 'encore' but a bit harder this time.

THE PAIN FACTOR

This is one of the most brutal and unforgiving games I've ever played. And I'm not talking about the slaying of zombies or slimy creatures at almost every turn and having to do it repeatedly. Demon's Souls is unforgiving to the player because nothing but complete dedication and near-perfection would do.

The tutorial is probably the threshold that's the hardest to cross. You start weak and almost unarmed and you mission is not only to survive which, if you are successful, you won't but also to defeat a mysterious monster that's almost nothing but slime, near-impenetrable armor and dozens of extra-long spears and do it in near-complete darkness. Saying that it's frustrating it's an understatement. I would have given up if it weren't for my kids who won their first victory before I did and motivated me to continue.

And the hardship continues and only grows after that. Unlike most other games, you can't just save once you defeat an opponent and establish a safe point to restart from. You are in that world until you are killed and lose your hard-earned souls or you return to the Nexus on your own but, remember, every time you come back from the Nexus, all the monsters you killed except for the bosses are there challenging you again and you have to kill them again. But, not everything resets itself completely. Usually 'the good stuff' only presents to you once or twice, IF you are lucky but the bad guys are always there to challenge you again and, if the world turns dark on you, to maybe slice you and dice you a few times before you develop some new and better tactics to defeat them for the 100th time again.

VIOLENCE

I believe I mentioned this all throughout my review but maybe the level of violence merits its own heading. There is A LOT of it in this game and all of it is graphic. I believe there is a setting that would hide 'bleeding' but with or without that, there was a reason it was rated 'M' as in 'mature'. So, anyone who doesn't feel comfortable about killing tens of thousands of soulless, computer generated creatures, don't buy this game.

TECHNICAL MERIT

Demon's Souls was made for the PS3 exclusively and it shows. The graphics and animations are simply breathtaking and, unlike the multi-platform Oblivion where 'fire' and 'smoke' could only be done at the expense of slowing everything to a crawl and the objects in the the distance became usually blurred, the world of Demon's Souls is almost always crisp and responsive visually, it rarely skips a frame and it never slows down, even when dozens of characters are present and moving independently on the screen.

Add to the above some of the most realistic sound effects and 'break and shatter' graphics, with the audio-visual experience enhanced by the controller perfectly synchronize vibrations that allow you to 'feel' the blows as your shield blocks them.

Unlike many other RPG worlds where a lot of the landscape and the dungeons are cookie-cutter reassemblies of a limited number of elements, the world of Boletaria appears to be fully, uniquely custom-designed. Very little repeats and every new location you discover is different and usually surprisingly different from anything else in the game.

FIVE STARS

On a 1-100 scale, I would rate Demon's Souls as a 95+. The game is remarkably bug free and the instances where characters do silly things because they can't climb a boulder or can't make a turn are rare enough for the game to stay immersive. I already know that I'll be spending more hours on Demon's Souls than on any other PS3 RPG or any other type of games I own so far.

At this price and considering the added CD, this is as most compelling buy.

Item arrived fine, packaged in a single mailer with 2 small zip-lock type bags, one for each set of pieces. Product appeared as shown and described, however when I went to install the items in my controller, I found that there were two "O" buttons in one of the bags. As the buttons have guide tabs to fit the controller, I had to use the "X" button from the other set, so I was only able to get one complete set from both sets of pieces. This isn't a big deal to me as I was planning on only modding one controller, but is worth noting.

Since all the Rock Revolution songs are covers I would never have never bought it if it was more expensive. Pleasant surprise though, the covers are generally very good quality, they're not much more different-sounding than live recordings by the original artist would be. Kudos to the cover band(s). If you're picky about songs sounding exactly like the album or radio version, the cover songs will probably bother you.

You can play drums, guitar, or bass, there are no vocals on Rock Revolution. I played with a Rock Band Guitar and Rock Band Drums, also tried Guitar Hero World Tour drums as described below. The Rock Band guitar worked fine with this game.

The vertical note scrolling isn't great, but I got used to it. The circular shape of the notes was ok and they were bright, better than the "Chinese hats" or whatever those Guitar Hero notes are, but the bright clear rectangles of Rock Band are the best in my opinion.

As far as drumming, the kick pedal notation as "just another note" is jarring, I did get used to it but never completely liked it. I was using the Rock Band drums and they work well for the most part, but the Guitar Hero World Tour drums weren't great with this game, the note mapping was too far off (especially on the cymbals), much like using the Guitar Hero drums in Rock Band.

On the guitar side, it seemed like there were more chords and I felt like I was actually playing Electric Guitar more than Rock Band. There's also an occasional notation in certain songs when you're supposed to just wail on a note; you just have to strum a certain speed or above and hold the note. That was a nice touch and seemed somewhat realistic.

As far as the actual gameplay, you're really just playing sets of songs, there is no character creation or tour. Playing the basic songs was fine, but I found most of other things like avoiding "poison" notes or playing without the notes visible were much more frustrating than fun. So I found myself staying in quick play mode more than the career.

I played this game a few times but ultimately, like after playing Guitar Hero World Tour, went back to Rock Band 2. But if you don't pay much for it, it's worth it for an alternative take on a music game, and to play songs like Heart's "Magic Man."

When I saw the song list for this game, I figured, what the heck? How could it possibly be as bad as all the gamers claim? So I bought it, since it was only twenty bucks. I wish I had my twenty bucks back.

The game itself isn't that bad, but it is not even in the same zip code as the far superior Rock Band and Guitar Hero titles. Once you've gotten used to seeing the 3-D scrolling of the notes in RB and GH, the vertical scroll in Rock Revolution is a major downgrade. It is also much harder to get a feel for exactly when the notes should be strummed; I got used to the GH timing almost immediately, but this game was much more awkward (I'd swear I was hitting the notes in rhythm, but kept missing them).

Then there is the calibration. When I played my very first song, I noticed that there was at least a half-second lag time, and I had to strum the notes early or I'd miss them. After trying to calibrate the lag three times (a process which was in itself difficult), it was only slightly better, and there's nothing as freaking annoying as playing a game like this and missing notes you KNOW you hit.

Another feature that sounded like a good idea but ended up being nothing more than irritating was the "poisoned notes" sprinkled throughout each song. These are notes that are thrown at you along with the "real" notes, but they are hollow instead of colored. If you hit these "poisoned notes," you lose your score multiplier, and even worse, if you hit too many of them, the song ends immediately (like getting booed off the stage for missing too many notes). This sounded like a novel idea, but I found it very frustrating. I mean, the whole point of these types of games is to hit every note you see; imagine playing Space Invaders, but being penalized for shooting certain aliens. Not as cool in practice as in theory, in my opinion.

The final strike against the game was the fact that the awesome track list includes almost no original artists. While the cover bands do a more than capable job of performing the songs, it just isn't the same; very few people can accurately mimic the vocal stylings of legends like Geddy Lee and Bruce Dickinson, and it's largely their voices that make those songs rock as hard as they do. Kudos to the other games for realizing this and now having almost all original artists on their newest titles.

Overall, a very disappointing 2/5 stars from me. I only hope and pray that some of these songs may someday find their way onto the Guitar Hero set list. THAT would be worth a helluva lot more than twenty bucks.

Well ,this game arrived in the post yesterday,I had ordered this game before reading editorial reviews cos i was pretty sure it was gonna be an o.k game, and generally speaking it is.

The songlist consists of cover versions of some pretty decent songs and they are generally executed very well.

The vertical 2D guitar display isnt that difficult a hang of,and isn't that bad. There is a tutorial which helps u to get through the game and is pretty intuitive.

The graphix and animations are passable, but being the type of game it is ,its not that crucial to the gaming experience, what is , is the gameplay and here is where rock revolution can decide whether u love or hate it!

I personally first time played 2 hrs pretty much non stop and generally had no problem with the game, ther was the general overall feeling of playing a guitar ,being that alot of the songs consist of chords as opposed to notes , meaning that your sliding your fingers up and down the neck of the guitar quite alot, notes are more difficult to hit especially when they come in groups and and are moving pretty fast down the neck.

Difficulty levels are overall accurate , each song has its difficulty level as well ,so for example if you play a song with a low difficulty level ,it's still gonna be pretty easy to pull off even at the games medium difficulty level and obviously if you pick a song with a hard difficulty level its gonna be quite a challenge to pull off at the games medium difficulty level. Now this brings me on to the frustrating part of the gameplay , because of the aforementioned the chords and notes come down in way that makes it very difficult to play this is not entirely due to the games difficulty level , but more of a flaw in the games structure, this is not the case with all songs ,but there a afew that u feel just haven't been layed out right, but being this is konamis first attempt at this, we can cut them some slack and hope thta RR2 will correct these issues.

I was expecting a better game from Konami considering they had done "Guitar Freaks.Dance Dance revolution and Karoke revoltion". All in all it's not to bad definately worth a rental, and for some a purchase.

I bought this game by risk because there are some reviews with very low score to this game when compared to Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour.

Critics said it has only 40 cover songs, no singing part when compared to the other 2 games. But there is no problem because I bought this for playing drums and it is much cheaper. The best thing is I can use my compatible RB1 drumset to play with this game (the drumset does not work with RB2!).

Critics said its kick pedal notation is not compatible with other 2 games. Yes! In the first day when I played it, it is quite hard as I am used to see vertical bar as kick pedal. However, in the second day when I played it, I am already used to its kick pedal notation style.

What I like most is the Career mode. It has funny and challenging missions like avoiding the poison notes, complete a song in 3 difficult levels, the song speeds up when the multiplier increases, learn and play the song without markers, and play the songs without error. This provides much more fun than RB!

Though there is no gimmick features like choosing my own clothes, instruments, tattoos,..., it is a funny game to play if you already have a guitar or drumset and you want to play more songs and face some new challenges.

OK, I don't think this game merits spending even twenty on, but with its current wide availability for less than ten bucks shipped from a number of Marketplace sellers it's definitely worth a look. There are some nice variations (vertical scrolling, challenges, studio) for RB and GH veterans, and, although all songs are covers, after two hours of play I've discovered three songs unavailable elsewhere that alone may justify the price of admission:

Spirit Of Radio

White Room

Magic Man

I expect to find some others exclusive to this game also. A couple further notes: Calibrate your instruments! My system had massive lag with this game, whereas I play GH and RB with zero lag. Also, I don't believe you can do tour mode with bass only, which is a bit of a bummer for us bass fans. Oh yeah, sound fidelity is pretty awful. But still overall a good value or less than ten bucks. Charting is good, albeit easier than GH or even RB.

We've been fans of GH and RB (Rockband) for a while now. Our first GH adventure was with World Tour and we kept up the many versions since. GH always lagged behind RB in a few areas, mainly graphics. Well, with this release, GH finally has a very competitive product. The graphics are fabulous. The ability to customize your character has become easier you can choose from multiple pre-selected styles (body, face, hair, clothes, etc). Or you can create your own from scratch. (But on the graphics note, I would suggest that GH improve their characters' expressions the still look a bit too stone faced.)

GH Warriors of Rock (GHWR) is much better than its predecessors. The main choices in the game are the Story (formally known as Career) or Quickplay+ (see below for other options of play). I recommend that you start with the Story because you will earn various "powers" through the story that you can use in Quickplay+ to boost your scores. In Story, you are in charge of recruiting rock warriors with various powers to release the ultimate Axe and then release the rock god from his prison by defeating the rock beast. Each rocker has it's own set of requirements for you to unlock their powers. Note that you cannot use your own created character for the story. Whatever rocker you are trying to recruit will be your character for that particular set. You have the flexibility to choose which songs you want to play in a particular set as long as you get the required number of stars (which look like suns) to release the warrior. I loved the use of Rush's 2112 for the release of the ultimate axe. When you get to the "boss battle" with the beast, it gets quite difficult here, but it gets interesting. You have to choose 2 bands made up of the warriors strategy comes into play as you decide which grouping would work best for each of 2 songs. And let me tell you, they are DIFFICULT (Megadeth is a hint). Once you defeat the rock beast (50% of the story), you then unlock another level to the game. But here, you go back through each warrior's set list and strive to get a perfect score on each song. You have to get 400 out of 400 stars by the time you get to the rock god.

GHWR's Quickplay+ enables you to pick the songs you want to play and choose which goal you want to accomplish. Based on your progress in the Story, you can choose from various "warriors" to increase your score (i.e. super star power, extra multipliers, etc). After you choose your goal (of which there are many and similar to those in GH5), your score will be posted and compared to other players. You play as your created character or one of the preloaded characters.

GHWR also includes the familiar Party Play option where you can just jump in and out of songs. You can also play competitively online: Pro Face-Off, Momentum (compete for highest score and your skill level is changed automatically), Momentum+ (Momentum plus ability to attack your competitors with Star Power knocking down their skill level), Streakers (get the longest streak of notes), Do or Die (outlive your opponent by hitting all notes in a section), Elimination (compete to stay alive in each section lowest score loses), Perfectionist (compete for perfection in each section), RockFest (players vote on which game mode to compete against), Band vs. Band (face off against a competitor band for high score).

GWHR includes the Rocker Creator, GH Studio, GH Jam (1-4 players pick any style of music and jam on any instrument), GH Mix 2.0 (create your own music), GH Tracks (download the latest user-created music).

As one who started with GH and then preferred RB, I can say that I am very impressed with GHWR. They've turned the band game into more of a competitive "sport" and increased the fun component. Song selection is decent, but is weighted on the heavy/metal end (which is fine by me), and graphics blow the previous GHs away. I find that these characters actually act more like rock stars with their antics than the characters in RB.

A word of caution to parents who are considering purchasing this game to play with younger children: the warrior characters may be scary to younger children (i.e. under 10)and there are more heavy/metal tunes in this one. A lot of us like to play these games with the family, but I suggest parents consider the age and maturity of younger children for the story. An example: Judy Nails turns into some sort of demonized goddess with hooves, a wing, white eyes, Joker-type mouth .... Obviously this doesn't bother me, but I could see my child having nightmares. (yes, I know the rating is T for teen)

I gave this game 5 out of 5 stars.... now we wait for the RB3 release to see how it compares....

Ok, I'll admit it, I got this game JUST to play Rush's 2112. That was honestly the biggest selling point of this game for me. But, it didn't take me long to figure out that the rest of the game was awesome...and quite challenging, even on medium. It is really the best GH game out there so far (that I've played) Although normally I'm a Rock Band person, I think this is better than the Rock Band games too. Oh, and I love that it is compatable with my Rock Band set, that saved me a lot of money and space in my small apt :)

With every other Guitar Hero product we had was for the PS2, but you could play it without having the other "parts of the band". This one you can't even go in to see what songs are available without setting up the whole band including a microphone, bass guitar and drums that we don't have.

This is pretty much the latest in the now discontinued guitar hero series. Again, nothing new, so yea, if you either hated or loved the past iterations, then nothing in this will change your opinion.

I mainly got the game for 2 reasons, 1 was to expand my guitar hero song library, and 2, so i could fix the annoying thing in guitar hero 5 where the vocalist does not change regardless if the track has male or female lead vocals (i regretted trading in band hero mainly because of this). I did not care much for the track list (although i now have a better appreciation of some tracks there after spending some time with it) or the new quest mode, just mainly concerned with the 2 things i mentioned earlier. The problem is, as of 10/14/11, the in-game music store is still down (and has been down for months according to the forums) and is pretty much the only way for you to import songs from previous guitar hero games onto this one, which brings me to the number 2 reason why regretted trading in band hero. to import guitar hero. Now, the only way to import guitar hero 5 songs onto warriors of rock is to use a band hero disc to enter the code for the guitar hero 5 import and vice versa. so now i pretty much have to buy band hero again (which is thankfully cheap at the moment) for the convenience of having to put in just one disc for the whole library! support from activision has been really nonexistent, which is unacceptable considering this product was less than a year old when i made the purchase

I can see what happened with this game. The hype was so big before it came out that it destroyed it. While Jericho is far from perfect, it's received far too much bashing for a game that's pretty decent. The atmosphere is creepy and unsettling. The storyline is unique and intriguing and also ties in well with the gameplay aspects which was a pleasant surprise. Probably the best aspect I can say about this game is the intuitive gameplay. You have 6 squad members and you can switch back and forth between them (which ties into the storyline I might add, which I thought was really neat). Each member is very unique, sporting different weapons and different special powers. Usually in games like this, I find the 1 or 2 guys I'm best with and go through the entire game but Jericho greatly encourages you to use everyone and I found everyone (and their powers) to be useful throughout the game. Jericho further encourages this behavior by starting you out with different characters after every cut scene and instead of immediately switching over to my favorites, I felt more inclined to stick with who they'd give me for a while. Jericho gives every squad member their chance to be uniquely better to handle certain enemies and situations. It also helped to freshen up the sometimes monotonous gameplay. The squad itself was well developed. They act and talk to each other like a squad and the character development was surprisingly solid which is a rarity for an FPS. I also want to point out that the boss battles were all pretty awesome! I enjoyed them all and there are quite a few and man do they look messed up!

Jericho does have its flaws though. For one, the gameplay pretty much consists of killing wave after wave of enemies, move along, then repeat. This can get old if you don't change it up and switch between squad members. Second, there weren't a lot of different enemies to fight. Probably 10-15 different types of enemies throughout the entire game. I WILL say though, the method of killing these enemies can differ greatly and many times, shooting isn't your best option. Another thing I didn't like, there's not a good cover mechanic. You can duck but it doesn't do a whole lot of good. It's hard to get good cover from the enemies shooting at you. This becomes less of an issue later in the game but it's a killer for the first part. I can't help but wonder if this game would've been better using a third-person system like "Gears of War" instead of first-person. Not only could you use cover, but since you have characters who depend a lot on melee attacks, and button pressing sequences (God of War style), third-person probably would have played and looked a lot better.

PROS:

Intuitive gameplay

Captivating storyline

Good character development

Creepy Atmosphere

Good voice acting

Fun and grotesque bosses

CONS:

Sometimes monotonous gameplay

No good cover mechanic

Not a lot of variety of enemies

Bottom Line: This game got unfairly skewered when it came out. While it's not a classic by any means, I'm glad I ignored a lot of the negative backlash it got and enjoyed playing it. I DO think it has the potential to become a revolutionary game with its innovative gameplay but I'm afraid with all the negative reviews surrounding it, it'll never get its chance to work out the kinks in a sequel.

SIDENOTE: I see a lot of reviews complaining about their squad dying a lot and them having to constantly heal everyone. When I first started playing, I can honestly say it was happening to me as well but as I continued to play I realized it started happening less and less. By the third mission it wasn't happening at all. The key was learning how to play it and play with the different characters and learning how to kill different enemies efficiently. I can see how learning by trial and error might annoy some but the point is, the game doesn't have to play this way. The AI is not dumb. They DO find cover, they run from explosives, they use their powers, they shoot at immediate threats and Rawlings goes out of his way to help heal everyone. You just have to learn how to play. It just doesn't hold your hand through some lame tutorial and tell you the best way to kill everything. Change it up. Use different characters, different powers, and different weapons. Even if something seems to work fairly well, there's usually something that works even better.

I've had this stand since about a month after I purchased my PS3 and it has been a worthy investment. Standing my PS3 vertically wasn't an option until I found something to extend its base for more stability. This product met that need and even came with a handy off-switch that cuts power to the PS3 completely if that's what you like doing when you power off your machine.
