THIS REVIEW COMES FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS NOT ONLY COMPLETED, BUT WON 1ST PLACE IN 30 RACES ON MOTORSTORM. So I guess you can say I've played it a lot.

I've read quite a few of the other reviews so far, and most of them are written by people who just got the game and haven't really played it through yet, I would imagine. I've played it at least a hundred times, and I've got a different view point. I'll try to keep it concise, and I'll discuss the game's shortcomings first.

#1: THE SAME TRACKS OVER AND OVER AGAIN...After 30+ races, the tracks go from repetitive to out-right boring. I'm sorry, but there are only 7 or 8 tracks to race on. The change? except for a few of the races, you are forced to use a different vehicle each time. The level 1 and 2 races are fun, but by the time you get to the level 3 races, your opponents spend the entire race pushing you off cliffs and into rock formations, and everyone's vehicles are faster than yours. I really enjoy 2 or 3 of the tracks, but the others aren't to my liking, and I find myself cursing at the game as it forces me to run those tracks repeatedly.

#2: BLAZE YOUR OWN TRAIL? Hardly. Other reviewers have said that you don't have to follow the track; that you can go your own way. Not true. Each track has a "high route" atop cliffs, plateaus and mesas (for rally cars and motorcycles) a "middle route" across bridges, ramps, rocks and gravel (for any vehicle but a big rig) and "the low road" through the dirt and mud underneath all the bridges and ramps (for the mudpluggers and big rigs). At certain junctures of the track, you can choose one of two or three of these routes. During most of the race, though, you are bound to the route you have chosen. It's your job to learn the tracks and remember where those junctions are so that you can take the route appropriate for your vehicle. Big rigs and mudpluggers are a disaster on the high routes, and motorcycles and rally cars are useless in the mud. Other than that, you are following specified routes and there is no "free roam" during a race. If you go too far away from the track, you get the dreaded "WRONG WAY" text flashing, and your vehicle comes to a dead stop and immediately gets redirected onto the proper route, which most likely puts you into last place.

#3: SIXAXIS MOTION CONTROL...I still haven't figured out how to use this to my advantage. I am sure it has something to do with where my console is located in my livingroom with regard to where I am sitting with the controller, but the motion control puts my vehicle right into a ditch or the side of a mountain every time, like a jet ski with a broken steering cable. I have it turned off, as the game is just too difficult. I cannot navigate at all with it turned on. This is the PS3's first game to really utilize the sixaxis motion, so I am sure that all of us will need some time to adapt. Trust me though--the game is plenty challenging just using the traditional controls.

#4: NO MISSIONS, JUST TIMED RACES...In some games, you get a break from the timed race, like in the Midnight Club or Burnout games, and you get to race a course backward, or your mission is to run 20 cars off the road or cause a huge wreck. Not in MotorStorm. Your mission is the same across the board--win each race. It does tend to become monotonous at times.

Let me discuss the GOOD THINGS associated with MotorStorm now...

The graphics are the best I've seen on any game--bar none. The stunning detail is a major distraction in this game, as you leap over ramps and view monument valley while flying through the air. The wrecks are astounding as well. Sometimes, it's fun to choose and ATV or motorcycle and purposely cause huge wrecks. You get to view your body hurling through the air in slow motion with the ability to spin the scene around with the R stick. More often then not, your body bounces off of rocks and ends up being run over by another vehicle. Awesome! The jumps are amazing, too. Depending on your vehicle, you can control your tilt and wah in mid-air (which seems like an eternity, the jumps are so huge) to set up the perfect landing.

The vehicles are terrific. All of them react different to the different tracks, which makes the game truly challenging. As soon as you've mastered the motorcycle on the mesa race, you then have to compete in a race through the mud with a mudplugging jeep. Each vehicle has different acceleration, braking, turning radius and what I like to call "dent quotient." The bigger vehicles can take a real beating, whereas the ATV's and motorcycles might get hit by a rock and go flying into a rock formation in pieces. Very realistic. Also, your vehicle retains its damage until you wreck it; which means, you could smack into another vehicle, and then be racing with no doors and your hood flapping against your windshield the entire race. You can knock your wheels out of alignment, too. Your wheels will wobble until you wreck and get a new vehicle. Navigating the dirt buggies is like riding on a constant trampoline: they just bounce everywhere, which is fun until you are trying to cross the finish line in 1st, you come out of a jump, and bounce right into a gravel pit and flip over. It's an insane ride that will have you laughing hysterically, albeit with sweaty palms. To make it even more stressful, you can change your camera view to "shoulder cam" (for ATV's and motorcycles) or "in cockpit" (for the others) where the terrain moves more than you do...it's dizzyingly fun!

Lastly, the controls are so simple, you'd think you were playing the Atari 2600. One button for gas, one for braking (which doubles as reverse also) one for boost, and one to knock an opponent off his bike (if you're on a bike) or peep your horn (if your in another type of vehicle). This makes it so that anyone can jump right in and start playing the game.

All of this leads me to believe that Sony Entertainment is leaving the door wide open for an entire series of MotorStorm games. Why make a game this good with different missions, tasks and tracks when you can string it out through 4 or 5 games? I guess I'm old fashioned--I paid $60 for this game right when it came out, and I'm staggered at the boring, old-school "win the race to open other locked races and vehicles" mentality. I bet that a MotorStorm 2 will be out just in time for Christmas, boasting more tracks, more vehicles and more missions. Get your wallet ready--we're all in for an amazingly fun, expensive ride.

Motorstorm gives you a variety of interesting vehicles racing on the same muddy track. Race a motorcycle against a large truck, and see who comes out on top!

The graphics in this game are just stunning. The details in the canyon ridges, the scrubs and shrubs along the path, the tiny details on the vehicles, are are rendered in amazing detail. We sat and watched MANY crahes just to marvel at how well done the physics were, how the tiny pieces of the vehicle sprang apart and bounded along the path.

The sound is a heavy metal rock beat. This will be great if you love this kind of music or will get quickly very annoying if you don't. The solution is of course just to turn down the music and play your own if you're not into it. Problem solved pretty quickly.

Gameplay is fascinating because of the wide variety of vehicles involved. Most games have buggies against buggies, or racecars against racecars. In this one you can choose motorcycles, ATVs, buggies, race cars, trucks, jeeps, and a variety of other vehicles. The tracks are set up with a high, medium and low path. The heavier vehicles can plow through the mud and take the easier route. The lighter vehicles need to skirt along the canyon edges, taking advantage of their small size.

This is super in theory but in practice there are only a small number of courses, and each type of vehicle really only does well on its own set track. So unlike some racing games where there are a variety of paths and options you can take for victory, for here it's more like there are interweaving tracks and you have to stay on "yours" if you want to win. It's still fun of course, but it could have been much better by really giving you multiple options.

Another real downside here is that there is NO LOCAL MULTIPLAYER. The package says 1-12 players but they mean solely online. I really think packages should list local and online separate on their packaging so there is no confusion. I opened this up wanting to have some fun races against my boyfriend but we couldn't! To me, that really takes away from the fun of a game, if it's this sort of multiplayer game but the only let you play online.

Still, if you're the type of person who only plays single player or someone who thrives in the online environment this game really is a LOT of fun. The physics are simply amazing. You could use this game in physics classes to explain various actions and interactions.

Great fun but I'd really like to see a Motorstorm 2 that had local multiplayer and more courses.

I first saw this game at a local Sony Style store where a customer was playing it on the store's demo PS3. I was really impressed. A couple weeks later I found the teaser version on the PS Network and downloaded it. It was really a lot of fun. So I bought the game.

MotoStorm is a one-of-a-kind racer that gives you all the highs you want from a game racer. As many have commented out, the best part are the crashes... esp. when they are catastrophic. The explosions are gorgeously rendered in real time, as is the rest of the hi-def graphics. The speed -and the associated adrenaline rush -are exactly what a gamer wants in a game. In the fun arena, no other game beats this one.

Unfortunately the game is ultimately a short one. With only eight tracks and one single-player mode, it's bound to get boring. I'm still enjoying the solo experience but I can imagine very soon I'll start playing online. But I doubt I'll be hooked for too long, unlike, say, NFS Carbon. The mitigating aspect is, of course, I can always pick up this game any time and have a blast (pun intended) with it. I just wish the designers had made this a better, deeper game.

Everyone who says this game sucks without giving it any credit is definitely and without a doubt a microsoft xbox360 fan boy and basically just jelous because Motorstorm is truely amazing, and in my opinion takes graphics and physics to a completely different level. The truck handles awesome and the controls are wonderful. The graphics are beyond describable if you put this game on an HDTV. Microsoft fan boys will always continue to bash on PS3. Just ignore them. this game is awesome. I think this is the first game that shows the potential power of PS3. Buy it and enjoy!!!

I've been playing the demo for about a month now. Truly amazing. The graphics are a step up from the PS2, but the physics of the crashes is where the game really shines. Every crash swithches into instant slo-mo and each piece of debris as well as the driver bounce and interact with everything. One time, the driver of the motorcycle got thrown and got run over by a car, and then got caught up in the engine compartment of that car and got dragged 100 yds, only to come off and then get creamed by another car!. A definite must own!. The music is great as well.

Ok, first I want to say that I like zombie games and first person shooters and alien type stuff so this was perfect. Only trouble is and it could just be my remote, at some points in the game, the remote gains a mind of its own and you can barely control the nano suit.

this is an awesome reinvention of standard platform games!

the PS3 suffers from a lack of non-violent/non-competitive gaming -when I bought the PS3 I expected to find heaps of titles online that filled the need for chill-out, relaxing, family-friendly fun. there are a a sizeable handful of cutesy cartoon style games but they all lack a user-friendly interface and most of them are basically fight/blowup/shoot/destroy/crush/kill-type of mindless aggression -I'm certainly not opposed to that, I enjoy Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty as much as the next bloke, but the core of PS3 games are not age-appropriate for kids and I don't want to expose them to needless aggression. Sony has a clear conflict here as I see it, on one hand blocking/censoring any suggestively 'adult' content from their titles; on the other, they allow any amount or form of extreme bloodlust.

furthermore, most of the available titles are too cumbersome for an occasional or younger player to enjoy -the controls need to be as simple as possible, and playable in a basic sense using only two or three buttons/controls -this is where the animated movie videogame tie-ins falls completely flat, while the movies are suited to anyone over the age of 3, the controls on most of their companion games are suitable only for well-practiced teens.

on that point while it comes very close, Little Big Planet is not 'perfectly' suited to 'all ages' -it does take some time to master for little kids, but the creative side of it and the appeal of the characters draws them in long enough to learn and love it (I can't help wonder if Stephen Fry's introductory voiceover helped too -we'd like to hear more of that in the game).

this game has long been a top selling title, and there are now countless add-ons available should you wish to extend this -the only real difference between the $40 version and the $60-100 versions are the included addons. there is more than enough in the standard version of the game to keep you enthralled for many moons, and you can easily add to it later, (or even make your own levels, if you're so inclined).

suited to young and old, great music, lovely 3D graphics (albeit in a 2D view), limitless possibility, and you're sure to love it no matter if you're a veteran gamer or have never played videogames before.

My review is below, but the game is over-priced from thsi seller unless you really want the europe boxart, go get the GOTY edition

I play a lot of games... probably too many. Although I come back to several games every now and then for nostalgia I am sure I will be playing this game regularly for as long as I play video games. Not only is the single player game great but the community makes this game infinitely playable with a constantly evolving catalog of levels.

But the best thing about this game is that you don't have to love video games to love this game. I recently played it with my brother who just got back from Germany and he absolutely loved it. Keep in mind my brother declared all video games a "massive waste of time" and "totally stupid" somewhere during his sophomore year of college, right after he met his future wife...hmmm. Anyway, he couldn't help but have a blast playing this game! HE could barely contain his laughter and hes 27 and just got out of the Army.

Meanwhile this game offers a lot of challenge for skilled players, especially veteran platformer-players who have been looking for a new style of play in an old genre. Some of the player-created levels are so hard they border on impossible, and that's the best part... you know it before you even play it, you can find the level that is perfect for you... easy and goofy or wicked hard but rewarding (getting the high score on one of those harder levels is very satisfying)

When I am no playing harder levels or a fun easier level with my family and friends I entertain myself by simply looking up levels based on "i like ghostbusters... lets see if there are any cool levels based on it" and sure enough there are... lots of em!

Despite a rather robust game collection I keep coming back to this one again and again! It's basically the perfect game for everyone thanks to the level creater. Did I mention how fun it is to make your own levels? When you get this great game try mine called Little Big Galaxy (my PSN is Sharpshell)although I warn you its on the harder side.

The single player itself is an amazing game with or without the online community. The Developers chose to invent there own style for the game mechanics which work well in the game rather than simply make a Mario clone. It offers a lot of ability to master the game. And for those who like the specs let me reassure you that:

Graffix: 5/5

Sound: 6/5 (honestly the sound in this game is beyond top notch, and Stephen Fry is hilarious)

Gameplay: 5/5

Multiplayer: 5/5

I can't really say anymore when all you need to do is order this game! You love this game unless you either

a)hate all video games or

b)can't enjoy yourself unless your slaughtering thousands of people and even if that's your thing keep and open mind and you'll find some levels perfect for youI suggest the Resident Evil inspired levels)

I originally bought this product to cover the rubber grips that came off my PS3 controller.

Unfortunately these grips don't work so hot like that.

They work best as a cover for thumbsticks that STILL HAVE THE RUBBER COVERS ON THEM!

I had to rig (with thin strips of medical tape) a covering on the thumbsticks to simulate the rubber that came off...then I was able to put on the grips I bought...

Now when the grips are on the thumbsticks, the controllers feel GREAT...so I'd recommend this for controllers that still have the rubber cover on the thumbsticks...other than that you'd need to buy a new thumbstick.

I always have hated the rather slippery surface of the analog sticks on the PS3. These fixed that perfectly. I prefer the convex ones over the concave style. But to each his own. I will definitely purchase these again if I lose them or they wear out. I have used them for well over 50 hours with no sign of them wearing out or even slipping off. I highly recommend these if you have issues with the stock analog stick surface on the PS3 controllers.

These are awesome. It comes with 2 styles, either convex or concave. The convex have texture in the form of tiny bumps and they feel great. The concave version has the same tiny bumps but only about 4 of them. The concave ones are not my style at all, they make the analog sticks feel tall and bulky.

I only use the convex ones and I love them. Usually I have to readjust my thumbs while playing which can make fleeing in games like Assassin's Creed a bit more tricky since I'll have to hold the stick forward for an extended period. With these I have to readjust much less, if at all, they feel great and they are very simple to attach.

This nifty little analog thumb grip pack for the PS3 comes with two different choices so you can see which grips you prefer best while only making one purchase. The pack offers both convex and concave thumb grips.

Convex: The convex thumb grips are very easy to install onto the PS3 controller. The grips aren't very big so they don't add too much height onto the already existing analog sticks. It has little bumps all over the top of the grips so your thumbs don't slip off as easily. These are definitely my favorite of the two.

Concave: The concave thumb grips are a little more difficult to install onto the PS3 controller so it took a few extra minutes to get them completely on. These grips only have four bumps around the outside and the middle is smooth. These grips work fairly well as well but they are a little too raised for my personal preference which makes using them a little awkward for me.

These are definitely worth a purchase if you need a little extra grip onto your controllers and were a great price for what is included.

Note: These grips aren't meant to replace the already existing analog sticks on the PS3 controller and are just to cover the current ones. Be advised if that is the reason you are wanting these.

This cover has awesome graphics and makes the Guitar controler look pretty sweet! The only problem that I've had with it which is the same with almost all the others similarly to it, is that they never seem to be cut-out just right for the controllers and that makes it hard to put the on. It seems there's always a couple of places that show out from undr the sticker but its kinda hard to notice unless you take a good look at it. But all in all I recommend it, they do look pretty sweet with them on! I've got quite a few compliments on mine! Another great thing about them is they never leave any kind of a residue or mess when taking them off and there easy to take off and replace with another but they can only be used once. Thanks,

This is a great bargain bundle. The game is fun for all ages and is a good investment for new PS3 owners. Save some money by getting an extra controller and a fun game to add to your collection. Controller does NOT come with a charge cable which was disappointing but none the less it is a good deal. I wouldn't recommend saving money by purchasing a cheap aftermarket PS3 controller. Most are of poor quality.

The game is pretty good overall. Somethimes space traveling can be a little boring, but everything else in the game is awesome, specially the weapons!! The blue controller is just amazing, I dont know why but it looks way better than the black controller when you hold it in your hands. I would also recommend buying the "real triggers" from PDP wich give the controller a better feel when playing most action and racing games.

For anyone who doesn't have a PS3 this may be the best PS3 deal ever IF you can get it at the Black Friday special $199 price. It's still pretty good value at the normal price.

I've been a PS3 owner ever since the 60GB Classic became available in 2007 and I've been impressed with the PS3's reliability, versatility and its sheer power I've owned both Classic and Slim models, upgraded most, gave away a couple. In the end one's choice for a gaming console is a matter of personal taste and preference but the PS3 is by far the more popular 'gaming' or 'entertainment' implement in our household. And we do own an Xbox.

I am buying this one (on the waiting list and hoping to get lucky) as a Christmas gift for a kid whose old PS3 classic seems to be about to give up and I know will enjoy playing inFAMOUS and the Uncharted.

Here's a quick FAQ I put together on the new super-slim model.

___________________________________________

THE FAQ:

Q: Why should I buy a PS3 at all? What's it good for?

A: With a PS3 you can play disc-based or downloaded games and this includes no-fee support for multiplayer, play Blu-ray, DVD movies or stream, rent or download movies or your own videos, play CDs or upload and play your own music, upload and display your photos, listen to Internet radio stations, access an ever-increasing number of Internet services such as Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, YouTube, Music Unlimited, browse the Web, play content off DLNA-compatible computers, laptops, media servers or network-attached storage (NAS) or allow your computers to play content stored on your PS3, integrate with your PSP or Vita portable consoles.

Q: In what ways is the new PS3 different from the current models?

A: The new model (Super Slim) is smaller, lighter, more quiet, more power efficient, has a larger HDD and has discs top-loaded vs. front-loaded on the Slim.

Q: Can I get the console without the games and pay less?

A: No. This is probably the best PS3 deal you are likely to get this year, with or without games.

Q: Should I buy this bundle or should I wait for more choices or a price drop?

A: Wait if you feel like gambling but even if a better deal pops up between now and Christmas it's not likely to be a lot better.

Q: Isn't Sony expected to announce the PS4 soon?

A: It is likely that Sony's next generation console will be launched in 2013. Sony recently committed to support the PS3 at least through 2015.

Q: If I already have a PS3 is this model worth the upgrade?

A: See the answer to the first question. The new model has an additional 90GB of HDD storage when compared to the 160GB Slim.

Q: I am planning to buy my first Sony console? Should I buy the Slim, the Super Slim (this bundle) or wait for the PS4?

A: This bundle has a lot of value. We bought our first PS3 in 2007 and we paid a lot for it. The reward was us enjoying it for the 2 years between the time of our purchase and Sony announcing some less expensive models. In our case it was well worth it. I would expect the PS3 to remain a viable gaming platform and home entertainment center for at least two more years.

Q: I owned an older model. Is the new model compatible with all my existing peripherals: controllers, Move, Eye camera, keyboard, charger?

A: Yes.

Q: Does this model come with HDMI, USB cables?

A: There is a USB cable in the box but you will have to supply your own HDMI if you need one.

Q: Once I buy this bundle, what else will I need to have a fully functional console?

A: You should buy an HDMI cable if you are going to connect your PS3 to an HD TV. You may also want a second controller. A Move bundle (controllers, camera) is highly optional. A charger should be okay but it's not needed because controllers charge through the PS3's USB ports.

Q: If I buy the 250GB model can I upgrade later to a larger size?

A: Yes, Sony will allow you to replace the existing HDD with a compatible 2.5" SATA drive without voiding the warranty. There are dozens of step-by-step guides on YouTube.

Q: Will I have to pay Sony if I wanted to play co-op or multiplayer games?

A: No. The basic PSN access is free. There is the Playstation Plus option that adds some perks such as free trial games, betas and demos and some discounts on downloaded titles but `non-essential' is the key word. I never felt I needed to pay for that service.

Q: Is there a complete list of services currently on the PS3?

A: This is what is available at the time I'm writing this: NFL Sunday Ticket, Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Vudu HD Movies, Crunchyroll (anime), NHL Gamecenter Live, MLB.tv, XOS College Sports, CinemaNow, Laugh Factory Live (beta), Music Unlimited.

Each annual release of a new FIFA iteration is a bittersweet event. The FIFA series has evolved substantially over the last few years, and with evolution comes tweaks and modifications that sometime greatly improve the game, and sometimes those tweaks break a mechanic that was already working perfectly fine. FIFA 14 is no exception to this rule, and while it does take a significant step forward in some areas, it takes a step back in others.

Good changes from past years:

1.Offensive AI: Players make intelligent runs that offer a bevy of attacking options

2.Defensive AI: The physical interactions between defenders and forwards are much more realistic. Gone are the days of simply running past or around defenders with Theo Walcott or Welliton (cursed be his name). Defenders block forwards and position themselves to make tackles before the forwards can really build up speed. Most of the time.

3.Shielding the ball: Finally, you can pass the ball to a teammate and the player can shield the ball and maintain possession. Players in possession of the ball fight harder to maintain possession.

4. Player movement and acceleration: Here's a topic of debate, but I honestly feel that EA made the right call to change up how this works from past years. The first few steps a player takes are slow; players don't take one step to reach full sprint speed like in FIFA 13. Slowing down player acceleration definitely reduces the fluidity of the game, which will certainly take some getting used to.

Things EA broke:

1.PASSING!!!!! It's horrible. Atrocious. Reprehensible. Broken. It's slow, weak, and inaccurate. Even the best players struggle to complete relatively simple passes consistantly. No, it's not as if EVERY pass misses the target, but players make awful passes with far too great of frequency. FIFA 13 passing worked great, they should've left it alone.

2. First touch: This is the mechanic that adds variability to how well a player traps the ball when receiving a pass. FIFA 14 has taken this idea a little too far, to the point where players fail to control even very simple ground passes. Once again, I think FIFA 13 mostly got this mechanic right, but it simply isn't working this year.

3. Player collisions: Players from the same team trip over each other all the time; it was annoying in FIFA 13, and EA failed to fix the problem with 14.

4. Offsides: Defensive AI is better at springing the offside trap, which is a good thing. However, the result is that strikers are getting caught offisde CONSTANTLY.

As a diehard FIFA fan, I really wish I could say that I simply love FIFA 14 without any reservation, but that's simply not the case. I really like some aspects to the game, and I'm quite fond of the improvements I mentioned above. Honestly, if EA can just patch the passing system, I can live with first touch and player collisions as they are. But soccer/football/futbol is a PASSING game; if that isn't working, the game isn't working.

Minor changes

Strength is really important (poor neymar)

Speed is less important

Defending is easier

Scoring goals is harder

Ribery and Ronaldo won't be able to pass defenders just because they are faster, you have to be more tactical, ratings are a bit off rooney is overrated other great players in small clubs are underrated.

it's fifa though and no matter how much I complain, I'll end up playing it

I picked up FIFA 14 on launch day. Traded in FIFA 13 for it. After my first two games, I felt like I wished I still had FIFA 13. As a matter of fact, I had planned to spend my entire day Tuesday going hard on 14, and after two games put the controller down.

On first play, it has a different feel to it. The AI midfielders and defenders are almost like a swarm. You can't take speedy wings or outside midfielders down the line as far as you could in previous FIFA games. They cut you off. They play hard, get very physical, and just overall play better team defense.

The menu lags, like other people have posted. It lagged a little at times in 13. The menu lag in this one is worse.

I also agree with another reviewer on scouting players for career mode. Before, when you are doing a career mode as a manager, you could see what people are rated, and what their skill levels are. Now, you get not one thing about a player unless you send a scout. And your scouts skills to recognize their actual numbers vary. If my whole life revolved around this one game, I guess that would be ok. But I have a life, and a son and job, and I find this time consuming, annoying, and this was a bad idea in my opinion.

So Wednesday, I accepted the changes in my head and gave it another go. A few games into a season now and I'm doing much better and you will too if you give it some time. Like others complaining on here about passing to someone and it bouncing away from them right to the other team, I had that going to. The answer is L1. There are different variations of receiving a pass using the L1 button, with some other combinations to do more advanced things. But if you pass, as soon as you control the person receiving the ball, just simply hold L1 and they will control it, instead of it flying off to the other team. It's all right there listed in the moves/controls section of the game. I didn't know either until I checked it out.

I thought 13 was pretty realistic. 14 IS realistic. If you watch pro soccer, you have to play this video game with the strategy of a pro soccer game. It makes you realize how much 13 was like an arcade game, which wasn't my opinion until now. Like I said, if you understand soccer, play this game with the understanding of the game to succeed. I am enjoying it now, which I didn't think I would after my first two games. I will say however, that even though I am getting used to it, and all the realism that it brings, in all honesty, I liked the slightly less realism of 13 better.

Four stars. Docked a star for menu lag and this new way to have to scout everybody to find a fit for your team. I don't have time for that and it will irritate me for the next year. Please EA, don't do that again.

I'm a big fan of the FIFA franchise and this year it is very disappointing with little to no improvements over last year's edition.

Pros:

The cut scenes are improved

Player images are more realistic

Great music as always

Teams are updated

Cons:

Players respond very sluggishly to your commands.

Passing is inaccurate at times(i.e. your passes doesn't go to the desired player or direction).

Something that was fixed in FIFA 13, but is a problem again Simple passes often bounce off players making one touch passing or a "give and go" passing next to impossible.

The new menu/layout looks nice, but moving around is very frustrating. Often times your desired selection is skipped over.

In Career Mode the changes to scouting/transfers was probably a nice idea in a meeting, but in reality it is overly complicated and can be frustrating.

Overall:

If you have FIFA 13 and are happy, FIFA 14 isn't worth the $60.

I don't understand the line of thinking at EA anymore. The past 2 FIFA games were fluid masterpieces. Upon purchasing this I expected another great game. After playing 1 match I was severely disappointed. While the visual aspect of the game has slightly improved the game play itself is a joke. The most talented players with high ranking skills have been reduced to bumbling oafs. Even the most basic passes give players trouble. Controlling the players is a chore and smooth movements have been replaced with jerky motions and choppy play. Even the AI seems to have regressed. It is no longer about building to a climactic finish as it is about getting random lucky bounces since players don't move well with the current AI. I never thought I would say this about FIFA but don't waste your money on this year's title. Either wait for the PS4 version or seriously think about giving PES a chance. I've never played PES but if this is the best EA has to offer it may be time to give it a shot.

EA just loves to make a buck without actually improving anything anymore. Very pathetic.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program If you're looking at this adapter, it's probably because of two reasons: You need to make a connection in a tight space, possibly a 90 degree angle. Or, you have an HDMI port that is constantly having HDMI cables connected to and disconnected from it. This is a well-built adapter with excellent video and audio pass-through. It makes connections more convenient since it swivels and can allow you to connect cables at a 90-degree angle. Perfect for those tight spots. Recommended.

MORE DETAILS:

Due to the adapter's design which allows swivelling, the wiring inside has to curve and then straighten out again in the casing. Despite the curve, the audio and video signals were not affected in my tests.

CONNECTORS: The connectors on both ends are gold plated, as are the pins inside the connectors.

Both HDMI cables I tested slid in easily and held tightly. The connection is strong, and the video and audio pass-through is also excellent. The first HDMI cable I used was an Amazon Basics HDMI cable which is a thinner cable. The other HDMI cable was a thicker Belkin cable.

SWIVEL: When laying the adapter flat, the head of the adapter can swivel/move almost 90 degrees to the left or right. The middle of the adapter is on a hinge that allows the adapter to swivel up or down vertically in a 90 degree position.

QUALITY: High quality hard plastic with gold connectors.

This is a useful adapter for either making connections in tight spaces and limited areas. It also serves the purpose of providing an endpoint where HDMI cables can be connected/disconnected multiple times without causing damage to the main connector on your equipment. Most people probably won't remove HDMI connections once they are connected, but if necessary, this is a great adapter. If I have any issues with the pass-through signal, I will update this review.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I just installed a new LED LCD HDTV on the wall with a slim mount. After installing the TV I realized that the HDMI cable would not fit between the back of the TV and the wall. I am so glad to have this adapter as it allowed for the cable to be installed easily. It also prevents the normal bending of the cable that normally occurs in tight spaces. Works perfectly. I will be getting more of these to have on hand!

used it to connect my TV, Blu-ray, Satellite box and AV receiver to TV. all 6 adapters did not work. One adapter did not work, some adapters did not transmit the sound and the other ones transmitted the sound (only background music, strangely) without the picture!

Be careful when you buy this item. I would srongly recommend finding an alternative.

I tried this device and it didn't work with three different HDMI cables. As soon as I take this device out of the picture, everything worked fine.

I bought 2 of these units to use with my wall mounted TV. One for this TV and one for a future project. I attached the TV using my HDMI cable, selected the proper input and got a picture. I disconnected the wire from the back of the TV and added one of the adapters. No signal. OK, I say to myself let me try the other one. No signal on that one either. I put the HDMI cable back in directly and the TV picture came back. These adapters are garbage. Back to component video since the HDMI cable is quite bent behind the tv, thus the need for an adapter. RETURN ALL THE THINGS!

-If you have a imported PS3 (JPN/AS) then you have no choice but to buy this version of the game since it is region-locked.

-For those that are wondering if this works with a region 3 console (Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, etc.) it will work (I've tested it on my HK and Korean PS3s and it works fine.)

-A great game for anyone who loves the Persona series and arcade fighters. The music is wonderfully composed, you will get to see some pieces from the previous Persona series make a return and some new pieces and remixes. I recommend this game highly. Be prepared to pay a very high price for this game ($70-90)!

I bought this controller and had it about 6 months before the left thumbstick stopped working properly. Called them the said send it back it is still under its 1 year warranty. So i pay to ship it to them and give them a call a few days after i had confirmation of it being received to check my status. The gentlemen told me they were in the middle of a move and that it might be delayed slightly but should be done over the weekend. I asked him what was wrong with the controller and he said the would have to replace the mod board, and they would have it done before monday. I then wait another week and call to check my status because I haven't received shipping status on my controller, now they begin to tell me it will cost another $30.00 dollars because the thumbstick has come unsoldered which was never mentioned before. So your one year warranty does not cover there product entirely. This was an adult owned controller which has never been slammed or thrown. I have two other ps3 remotes and the thumbsticks work fine never a problem, but my modded remote suddenly has a problem. So now they are going to send me back a broken remote and I wasted $115.00 plus shipping on this remote. Never again will I buy from them. They showed absolutely no concern for me, didn't try to see what they could do to make me happy or compromise. Just sorry sir...there own website states your controller is covered under a one year warranty on there faq page. This is directly from the "about us" page..."We offer a one year warranty on all controllers we sell, should anything go wrong. We understand that modded controllers are not cheap, and we ensure that your purchase will be covered." It clearly states SHOULD ANYTHING GO WRONG, not should it be dropped, not from normal wear and tear...ANYTHING. The supervisor was extremely rude and didn't care at all. ANYTHING MEANS ANYTHING, not we fix what we feel like...never again.

first review written and for a reason. This controller definetly gives you an edge and makes the competitors real upset watching you take them out with a moded controller in the final kill cam and just fun all around to play with freinds who dont know what you have. Takes a bit to get use to but after that period it becomes second nature good company always sending me updates since i ordered the contoller tight befor hurricane sandy which shut down postal in the area but worth the wait. The button placement was good and program worked well.
