All in all it is a great accessory to your controller and makes my controller look bad a**. However ever if your looking for a more vinyl/plastic skin this is not for you. It is more of a thick sticker that sticks real well.

The decal came in pretty quickly and was really easy to put on the controller and it looks great on it.

This game is in full Japanese. If you haven't played one or more of the Monster Hunter series in the past you will be sooo lost. I did find a nice Japanese to English translation for everything in the game at www.mhf3.com but alas there is no english version patch or english version of this game coming anytime soon. This game looks awesome in HD btw.

I knew exactly what I was getting myself into when I purchased this game! As you may have read in other reviews it can be compared to Max Payne and Strangelhold. Especially the real bullet time. I'll tell you up front this game is not for everyone! PS3 Marketplace and XBOX Live each have the demo available for download to try it out.

The story plays exactly like a Quentin Tarentino movie. It is very fast paced, lots of running shooting, sword swinging action. There's the basic play, every few levels the main character (Rubi) goes into "rage" mode which turns the whole stage to blood red/white/black anime style which is fun. Other different things the game features are "time trial target practice modes" and a few scattered button pressing action sequence scenes. AKA It will tell you to press the "Triangle" at a certain moment and if you don't you will get shot/stabbed/fall off a moving vehicle.

There's no online multiplayer but this game is fun. Good music soundtrack, great action, controls take a little getting used to and certain things may feel a little repetitive to some but it's at least worth the rent if the demo doesnt grab you from the go. I have noticed that most either love it or hate it! and **spoiler alert**....the ending is terrible! The boss fight is nothing but button pressing action sequence! No challenge whatsoever!

I was so excited for this game and now I feel let down. This game literally had me wanting to throw my controller through my TV half the time. Wet is the story of a problem fixer named ruby voiced nicely by Eliza Dushku. She takes jobs to eliminate targets and get caught in a war between two drug lords. The characters and art styles of the game were interesting this game reminded me of Max Payne. The problem is Max Payne was better and it came out what 8 years ago. The aiming for this shooter is a bit dated what saves it is that when you jump slide or shoot time is slowed down and ruby always lock on one target with her duel weapons allowing you to mow down enemies. In fact if you aren't jumping or sliding or something you'll be dead soon. This works fine in combat and its fun. However the numerous bugs and glitches wear your patience thin by the 3rd level and things keep sliding down from there. I died a ton of times trying to jump from ledges due to poor camera and touchy controls. There were numerous sequences that really pissed me off. First there was this spot where you fell from a plane that must have took me about an hour and half to master. Then there was an area were you had to slide under a door and shoot 2 locks on each side to progress the auto aim is random and I found this task to be harder than it should have. The game is very fast paced and has a nice style its too bad they were so sloppy with its design. My advice is to pass or rent it. Don't buy it though, it's short and frustrating as hell.

I was anticipating WET since I first read about it on IGN. After finishing the game, I can say that it's pretty solid overall and I found it fairly enjoyable. A lot of people are complaining about the controls, but I found them to be pretty intuitive. Not really sure what their problems were. The style, presentation, acting and music are all top-notch. The graphics are a little rough around the edges, but I wasn't expecting them to be great. I found the acrobatics to remain surprisingly fresh throughout most of the game, although things do get a bit repetitive towards the end (and yes, the final boss "battle" sucks). But there were plenty of "woah" moments for me when I wondered how other games haven't already tried some of the aspects before. With trophy support and adjustable difficulties, I'll play through this again soon. It may not be worth the full $50+ price tag, but it's certainly worth checking out once the price drops or if you can find it used.

STORY: Quentin Tarantino-esque femme fatale Rubi is one ticked off chick. As a hired gun, she gets double crossed on a deal and sets out across three continents kicking butt, foregoing names, and acrobatically killing all who crossed her. Fun story, but not groundbreaking. Straight-to-DVD-movie-plot. If Eliza Dushku (who voices Rubi) was in Kill Bill, this is what it would have been like.

GRAPHICS: They look nice on both platforms, though the optional film grain can take away from the decent lighting and effects, shadows, and bloom. Fortunately, this can be removed, and it looks pretty comparable to other games. Not groundbreaking or anything that you haven't seen better elsewhere, but decent to the eyes. The level of detail and design and population of the levels is done with care.

SOUND: Entertaining 70's style music accompanies the 12 or so missions and the music changes at appropriate times. Not the same annoying beat as you go about killing. The sound effects of the guns, however, are pretty lame. Almost sound like an old VHS action movie.

GAMEPLAY: Rubi can jump, wall run, slide, flip, swing, hang, invert (man this babe is flexible) while shooting baddies in slow-mo. As long as you are still hitting your targets, the slow-mo never ends, so there is no time limit. If you do stop shooting or not hitting a target, the game returns to normal speed. You can kick it off again simply by doing another acrobatic move and shooting.

You run along various levels and locales, shooting or slashing (with your sword) all the bad guys, mix in with fun quicktime events (the car chase is breathtaking as you hop from car to car)! and that's pretty much the game. There are hidden cymbol-clashing monkey toys to find and health, but not much else to do except clear a room level, and move on to the next. The boss fights sadly, are also done with quicktime events, which I don't get. I love QT, but would have been nice to actually use your own skills when taking them down. There are separate challenge rooms you unlock such as timed run and gun, but that's about it. You can unlock BIOS and sketches from options menu, but no movies.

Lots of swearing, drug, alcohol, sexy stuff, so not a family game (though my grandma loved this. Just kidding!) But its fun. Not worth $60 though, I would rent or demo if interested. However, if you love a cheezy revenge plot game, with 8 hours of High octane action with brutal kills and don't mind the above flaws, this game is fun to unwind with. Akin to Dead to Rights where its fun and fast, but no lasting appeal, no multiplayer, and no reason to play it again once you've romped through the single player mission.

But, WetWork looks great on a resume if you are an assassin!

Wet was a game that came out towards the end of 2009. It was a very hyped game that played on that Kill Bill, Grind-house look and feel. Despite an over the top, grind-house attitude the game ended up coming across as a bit of a gimmick. You could say the sum of its parts did not end up creating a full pie.

Wet is a fun game. Once you sit down and play it, you won't want to put it down. Some of the moves are just totally over the top. The storyline is cheesy in a great way, however ends up really not making much sense towards the end and just kind of randomly ends without even encountering other key storyline guys you could of swore you would have to fight / take down.

Once finished however Wet gives really no reason to revisit it. You gain nothing more than trophies for acquiring collectibles and doing mini-games so unless you are a one to complete games to get that beautiful platinum (or max gamer score for 360 users) I found no reason to return to the game.

**Overall Wet is a good game, a great game definitely not and does fall into the over-hyped category. Because of this the game gets 4 stars (****) for fun, but only 3 stars(***) for overall value

**Currently the price is $19.99 which is a very fair asking price for this game. At the time I paid $59.99 for this game and it was definitely not a $60 title. Best example I can give is Wet comes across as being more of a $29.99 budget title. Is it worth playing, YES YES YES but make sure you don't over-pay for what you get.

I truly enjoy Final Fantasy XIII. Despite the harsh reviews it received elsewhere, it still has an 8.6/10 rating from professional critics, and I'd personally give it about a 9.7 myself. The thing that had people complaining about was the straight line of gameplay with few to no alternate routes in the first half of the game. I won't spoil it for you, but this was an intentional design to get the player trapped in the mindset of characters, and the straight line of gameplay disappears after the first half of the game.

Regarding the Limited Edition collector's packaging, I'd agree with some of the other harsher reviews that it's not worth $200. I'm an extreme Final Fantasy fan though, and I personally would (and have) paid the difference between the game itself and the collector's packaging, which at the time was about $125 (total). It comes with three lithographs that are two-sided, so you can't display all 6 lithographs simultaneously. The lithographs come in a small paper sleeve wrap that really isn't worth anything, but it makes opening it a little more exciting. It comes with a CD with a selection of music from the game that both I and my 2 and a half year old son absolutely love. My wife is fond of it too.) There are two decals that can be displayed on glass or any other smooth surface. Finally there's a hardback artbook with scenes from the game.

Is it worth $200? Probably not. But that's pretty much the case with any collectible merchandise. I would not spend $200 on it, but the ~$125 that I paid was reasonable. I will be honest and say that I also purchase some of these for resale, and most buyers find $150-$170 reasonable on eBay and other places. If you do research and are willing to wait 6 weeks for it to come in, you can also look at importing your own for around $100, which may be subject to import duties depending on how much you import a year. You don't need to worry about compatibility issues, though, as PS3 games are not region encoded and both the AU and the UK version will play on any PS3 system worldwide.

The collector's edition for this game is somewhat standard of what you would get usually with collectors edition for games like a small artbook, codes for exclusive content, etc. The price for this though is a bit too ridiculios and expensive if you ask me.

I'm currently on my third playthrough of this game; it's great. I've wanted to get this Collector's Edition for some time, but it's always way too expensive. The contents of the CE do not justify the price point. Just because something is an import doesn't mean there has to be a huge mark-up. This CE is going for around $35 in like new condition in the UK

$35 there, over $100 here. Where's the fairness in this? I will be getting this CE, but not until I can find it for the right price.

As long as you know what button your pressing, but other people who are not aware of the buttons may have problems.

This is my first fightstick. Just unboxed it not too long ago and played some SSF4 AE. It was different feeling since I am still in the stage of transitioning from console controllers to a fightstick; however, I was able to pull off all the moves I wanted to with this stick.

Pros: This fightstick is made for the PS3 and the PC. My windows 7 was able to recognize the fightstick once it was plugged in. The buttons and joystick may not be of Sanwa descent, however, they are very responsive and have a quality feeling. Overall, the fightstick has some heft and will more than do for newcomers like me into the game fighting scene.

Cons: None really; I ordered overnight shipping and ONTRAC cut it a bit close on the delivery but I got it as promised.

Overall, its a good buy for the price and performance. $59.99+Shipping isn't bad for a quality fightstick.

I just got my V3 yesterday and I played some SFIII:3S Online Edition for a few hours on it. Having been used to the USA Happ-style controls (baseball bat topped sticks, smaller buttons), the transition to a more Japanese layout on this Hori stick takes some getting used to. The cool thing is that the button diameter is larger than Happ, and the button height is nice and low so that you get good response time on your inputs.

Additionally, the Hori stick feels shorter and less stiff (that's what she said) than a Happ competition stick, although so far I kind of prefer the feel of the Happ over the Hori. The Hori stick also tracks on a square gate so you can feel the corners, as opposed to the Happ competition stick where it feels smooth in all directions (octo gate). I just think it'll take some getting used to.

If you're used to Japanese (Sanwa / Seimitsu) arcade layouts with the curved button layout, the closer proximity between buttons and stick, the 30mm diameter pushbuttons, and square-gated motion, then the Hori Fighting Stick V3 will make you feel at home. Additionally, if you're hardcore like the top players in SFIII:3S or any other fighting game you should choose to play, I've heard that this stick specifically is made to be moddable, where the button holes exactly fit Sanwa snap-on pushbuttons, and the stick can be swapped out with a Sanwa JLF stick with flat mounting plate. I've seen pictures of it done without any soddering. You'll just need to crimp some wire, yank out a PCB (where the buttons are) and connect using crimp quick connects. I haven't done it myself, but if I do and it's successful, I'll update this review.

Enjoy!

Most of the time you have to pay top dollar to purchase a good fighting stick, but this stick is an exception.

For an awesome price of $59.99 you get all the qualities that you get from most of the arcade sticks in market and more! The HORI Fighting Stick V3 has a sleek design and light weight which makes it easier to carry around and transport. It has turbo functionality for all of the buttons and the six button layout keeps the stick nice and compact. The buttons are not Sanwa but are very responsive and so is the stick.

I am still new to fighting games and playing with arcade style stick controllers but found that this was a great starter stick for me to learn the ropes and get used to executing moves. I feel that this product is a great stick for anybody who is starting off in fighting games and looking to purchase a stick without spending over $100! You'll definitely feel that you have gotten your money's worth! Thanks HORI!!

I have been looking for a fight stick that worked well and was a great bargain. The PS3 Fighting Stick by Hori is the perfect match for me. I bought a previous MK styled fight stick and that was a peice of crap. The button layout was god awful and the button resonse time was lagging. This stick however, this stick is like recieving a gift from the gods themselves!!!! It is extremely responsive and the button layout is perfect for any fighting games needs. I like the 6 button layout as it's just what the gaming doctor recomended. Yes it does have a square restrictor gate as opposed to an octogonal one, but that dosen't matter. I was still able to pull off killer combos on Blazblue CS Extend as well as dominate on Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown!!!

This is a great fight stick for those who want one without shelling out a fortune for one. It works like a charm and performs extremly well. Also, I chose 1 day shipping on Friday and came at my doorstep on Monday morning so jolly good there as well. 5 stars for this stick is not enough for how great it is. More like a 10 star product. MUST BUY FOR FIGHT FANS!!!!

This is a great game, with visible damage to your character and your opponent, for instance, if you repeatedly kick your opponent in the ribs, his ribs will get red, then purple, and eventually look almost black from bruising, this also relates to how damaged the area is. If you repeatedly strike the rib area for example, you can break their ribs and get "daze" them so that you can land very powerful strikes to the head and body. You can even get a knock out if you do indeed break their ribs, and while they are dazed, strike them repeatedly in the ribs.

With all of that said, like almost all fighting games of this type, the grappeling and submission gameplay is not super great. It is IMPOSSIBLE to submit a CPU opponent. By impossible I mean, I had the game in begginner difficultly, had the opponents life bar in the far red, grappeled him, got into several dominant positions relitively easy, as I had nearly full green life bar, and every time I initiated a submission he would get out. I tried arm bar, Kamura, even a rear naked choke back mount top while I was full health, he nearly none. It is IMPOSSIBLE to submit CPU in this game, and yet it appears that the CPU can submit you at anytime they choose, no matter how better off your stamina and life bar is, no matter how fast or furious you spin the analog stick. It is the go to move when the computer decides you have won enough.

The Stand up and Ground and Pound are amazing and great fun, but don't bother trying to do anyting involving submission, you will fail.

UFC 2010 for ps3 has potential to be the greatest MMA game ever. The only reason I say it is not the greatest game yet is because there are several bugs. It is very hard to get a fight online and the career mode has some problems, including your stats decaying too quickly, fatigue not really playing as much of a factor as it should be, and opponents getting too tough too quickly. Some of the ufc fighters also need a little tweaking but as soon as the developers get a patch update out there, and I am confident they will, this will be the best MMA game ever. Despite these current problems, I also want to address its successes. The graphics are UNBELIEVABLE, every fighter looks completely real. And the realism doesn't stop there, every fighter in the game has fighting styles and abilities that are just like the real fighters. There are also all kinds of new features like the ability to make and play your own pay per view which is so fun if get some friends to play through it and the other gameplay modes that ensure you will never get bored of this game. So all in all, I would highly recommend this game if your a fan of the UFC although would recomend you wait until they get a solid patch update out there so you can enjoy it to its fullest.

A new, barley updated sports title to refresh fans of the previous entry's shortcomings. My thoughts exactly when I saw the demo of this title available for play, enquiring only to differ from the many wrestling games played in my youth. Having little knowledge of mixed martial arts, the UFC or any fighter in/outside the ring, my predetermined thoughts were nothing more than a button masher enjoyable for a few fights. A title that captures my full attention with great presentation, style and a flawless control system deserves my hard earned money, the honor of accomplishing that with a simple demo is held by few.

A twelve year spanning career mode only offers a Create-a-Fighter challenger the chance to hold the gold but does a great job of simulating the journey from unknown to champion, with a strong custom skill class, attire and fighter modifications. A huge roaster of real fighters across five different weight classes waits at startup, throwing them into the cage with exhibition matches, title defense, title (capture) mode, tournament and Ultimate Fights, which recreates the best fights in UFC history, or gives the chance to change them. Online only offers exhibition or tournament play between players with custom UFC/create a fighter rules, leaving the UFC selected fighter possibly destroyed by a highly skilled CAF. A brand new game comes packed with a code for online play; a used copy will cost roughly an extra $5 for online fighting.

The fights appear just like the sport that inspired it. Fighters appear weak or tired with increasing body damage and a few fists to the head will leave a cut for blood to drip onto shoulders, bodies and the mat. Fighters are limited to competition in their respective weight classes, height or reach don't play a much of a factor due to the feel of balance between each fighter, never knowing when you might get stunned or knocked onto the mat makes engaging play. Graphics and sound look great in presentation to make this title look more like the actual sport. The control scheme parallels those in recent boxing games with the left stick acting for fighter movement and right as takedown or submissions. The controls remain the same when fighters hit the mat but as any true fan will know that's a whole different game in the struggle to stay victorious, hunter or hunted can quickly be toppled for the win.

Plenty can be found for anyone in the various modes or only exhibition matches. The excellent, responsive controls that can lead to easy upset/defeat is the meat on the hook reeled in by near life like capture/presentation of the sport. The demo did a great job of setting up the game with much more in the full version. Anybody looking for a never ending title with different character selections and match outcomes or an engaging sports/fighting title should step in the octagon.

Last Words: B+, easy to pickup & fun to master, an easy title that you can lose a few hours in, not many of these titles exist anymore.

I thought they were gonna step it up from the last one, but the game controls seem a bit more difficult. The game controls should've not been changed. I rather play the first one still. Most of these reviewers, have it wrong. To approach this game as a modern warfare 2, on a larger scale, is completely wrong.

This is a tactical, team based shooter. And the quality and depth of the game is completely based on working together.

Kids who hop into these games, just running towards objectives, getting shot down, and then complaining about respawn times, are the ones that make this game poor and contribute to negative public opinion.

As far as gameplay goes, Zipper Interactive have proven that they are experts, and MAG is a showcase example of this. However, the depth in strategy to this game, may also (in a wierd way) turn out to be MAGs main flaw, as relying on 128 like minded, intelligent players to enter a game, is near impossible. Instead, of slower paced, tactic based games. All I have seen so far, is games that are very much chaotic, and individuals running by themselves towards objectives, with absolutely no communication and teamwork.

Having said that, this is not really Zipper's flaw. Besides, a few graphical hitches, and awkward weapon selection buttons. The game is a technical masterpiece and a very much needed addition to the playstation catalog.

Lets get one thing straight right off the bat, I am a military first person shooter fan. Call of Duty MW, MW2, WAW, Battlefield MC, Bad Company, Americas Army, the Rainbow Six franchiseyou name it, Ive played it. That being said, MAG IS ECSTASY ON A DISC!

The main game people like to compare this to is MW2 even though they are completely different experiences. As a guy who patiently waited for MW2 on the midnight launch and missed many days of school thereafter, I feel I can give an unbiased opinion on mag while contrasting it to MW2.

MAG clearly loses to MW2 in the sound and graphics departmentit stands to reason that if you are attempting to run 256 people in one game, you are going to have to make a tradeoff. However, during the week I have been playing MAG, I have been dropped from a game only one time and experienced lag only one or twice. When playing MW2I get dropped or lag at least 50% of the time. Its hilarious to me that MAG can run 256 people without issues but COD cant do 16 without having a s*** conniption. Although MAG is not without hiccups, it is far more polished than CODfor example, you wont get shot around corners, like in COD when you are standing in a doorway and see someone pop out to shoot at you and even though you step sideways and get out of the way of the bullets and the wall in front of you fills your screen, you watch the kill cam only to find you where killed by magic invisible rounds that were several feet away from you. This brings me to my next point, MAG is more realistic than MW2. I understand that no game is realistic to a certain degree but MW2 has you calling in nukes, getting sniped by 1887 shotguns, and people running around knifing and unstoppable(yep, thats real modern warfare)not to mention MW2 has glitches galore such as when people were running around with the javelin and it would shoot automatically when they died killing everything in a 100yd radius. In MAG, you are a grunt, just as expendable as the guy next to you. My one complaint is MAG sometimes takes too many bullets to kill(headshots with an assault rifle sometimes take 2-3 shots). THis is more of an effort to balance the game, not a mistakeif everyone died with a realistic amount of bullets, everyone would be dead very quickly into the match and nobody would be defending the objectives making games very short and unsatisfying. Teamwork is also essential to MAG, if you dont communicate or plan with your squad/platoon, you will lose. End of story. This can be good and bad. Bad that internet anonymity often leads people to be d-bags and some people approach MAG with a lone wolf philosophy. Good because when your team works like a well oiled machine, there is no other gaming experience quite as satisfying and those who do have a team mentality often are the victors. Also, choosing your faction, unlocking new equip, and developing your character into a specialty (ie sniping, field support, medic, etc, and reaching) is just as deep and rewarding as MW2.

The bottom line is this, if you are a lone wolf run and gun type of gamer or a call of duty fanboy, you always will bethis game wont change you or your opinion on tactical shooters. If you are willing to get past the subpar graphics and sound, then you will be rewarded with a really fun, challenging, and satisfying gameplay. MAG, to me, is a 5 star game and is essential to any shooter fans collection.

S.V.E.R FOREVER!!!

Buy Mag Online Only Now

MAG requires teamwork and communication, and for that, voice chat is a must-have. If you do not have a mic, you will not get nearly as much out of the game.

Graphics, sound, controls are all fine. The game doesn't exactly push boundaries in these areas, but it isn't lacking in them either.

If you put in the time, meet some friends, join a clan, etc., then you'll really won't find anything quite like MAG out there, and it is very satisfying. If, however, you prefer run-and-gun, lone-wolf-type experiences, then MAG probably isn't for you.

This is one of those games that would be a perfect rental first. People will likely love or hate this game so a quick rent should help choose which side you might be part of. People will love or hate that it is very different from arcade shooters like Call of Duty. In MAG, everyone operates more or less like a smaller cog of a greater machine, whereas in Call of Duty and other shooters, everyone is just running around getting kills and ridiculously powerful killstreak bonus that lead to more kills and etc. MAG requires a large amount of teamwork in order for the battles to function correctly. Unfortunately, there just are not enough players vocalizing anything that is of much value. Sometimes you have a squad leader who calls stuff out, but really, its never something that you will die without. It isnt bad, but the chaotic nature of the large maps and people not knowing whats going on will frustrate a lot of people who cant devote endless hours into studying the layouts of each area.

From the start, I thought that my low level was contributing to how much I sucked at this game. I later found that I was stuck in a rut, because the weapons that you are first given felt like peashooters. However, the game became quite fun for a limited time once I unlocked the ability to heal and revive my teammates. Acting as a medic will not get you the most kills, but will definitely deliver the most experience points.

Later, I unlocked few other weapons and I just never felt like they mattered. I played as Raven and had an opportunity to pick up a Valor assault rifle and it was great. Otherwise, the Raven weapons seemed like junk. Horrible iron sights tha obscure your target. Half the time you will get sprayed by someone shooting from the hip and headshotted because you couldn't get the center of your screen on him while he was running. Playing the medic was the way to go because I was a weak soldier, but reviving people got old too quick.

Large game modes seemed just too chaotic to be fun. In huge maps with several squads of 8 teammates attacking or defending various objectives, I never felt the bigger picture in any of the battles. The map was never helpful enough to tell me the size and scope of everything and by the time you realize you got lost, you died from sniper fire you will never find and wait 20 more seconds to respawn. Squad members are split up andrunning all over the place because of the rotating spawn timer.

The game boils down to needing to work with your squad. When your squad starts getting picked off and some of the team is down and waiting for a medic, some are dead waiting for the spawn timer to count down, and the others are cluelessly still running around outnumbered or outmatched. For Raven, it seems like we were ALWAYS outmatched. The general consensus on the forums is that Raven is the underdog. I can attest to that. At this point I have no time to dump into switching PMC's and leveling up all over again.

This game offers nothing for offline play, nothing for split-screen, and the tutorials to get a newcomer is woefully lacking. There is nothing to help teach an aspiring squad leader or platoon leader what they are supposed to do or what their responsibilities are once they put the leader boots on. All the time, there is someone trying this role out for the first time and not knowing what to do. The rest of the squad gets frustrated and quits or attempts to vote the person off. Regardless, the chaos and distraction usually results in a loss. Other people that would gladly take the role, are intimidated by this and don't bother giving it a shot at all. Its frustrating that the game could not have included some decent tutorial videos to help get people on track with each role. The game would rather you jump in the hot seat and disappoint your team, thus taking a heavy loss and wasting a half hour in the game. The lack of sufficient briefings set many players up for failure. In many ways, the entire game feels this way. Would-be medics run around with their heal-guns out aiming at teammates, but don't understand that they have not unlocked the ability to heal others yet. Huge battles have no war-room strategizing before the game starts. Leaders don't know what is going on and call in air strikes while the enemy still has anti-air defenses up. Players are all over the place. It takes forever to figure out which weapons suck the least. Everyone is thrust into a huge warzone with no regard to what is going on or how to do it before hand and expected to perform.

Again, Im not saying the game is terrible. There is much to appreciate here in terms of the technology and potential. Huge battles can be lots of fun if people know what they are doing. If the coordination, teamwork, AND skill all line up in every match, you have a winner. Unfortunately, asking 256 people to get these three things straight every single time is not going to happen.

For those who have not had a chance to play the beta and are on the fence about buying this...hopefully this will help. I know lots of people try to compare this to call of duty, throw that out the window. The graphics are not as good and to be honest, the shooting doesn't feel as tight as call of duty. The game can be a little confusing when you first start. But if you give it some time, you will have a firm grasp on what you should be doing. Also, for those you do not have internet access....this is an online only game. There is absolutely no single player content.

I believe a mic is a necessity to truly enjoy this game. I played in several games where no one had a mic but me, and my team got ruined. Then I joined another game when a bunch of people were playing with mics and we dominated. It's all about communication.

You gain experience with pretty much everything you do in the game. From killing the enemy, to rebuilding structures, to healing and reviving teammates, and completing objectives. This all builds into the very deep leveling up system. Each level you move up, you receive a point to use to pick either an attachment for a gun, a "perk" such as quicker reload or better accuracy or more health, or to purchase new guns. And once you reach a high enough level, you can become a squad leader, and eventually a platoon leader. I have not had a chance to experience either of these, so I cannot comment on that. I will come back and write something about it when I get the chance. I'm at a high enough level, but I have yet to be chosen as a squad leader.

Now lets talk about the actual combat part of the game. The controls can be confusing to start. R2 switches guns, L2 switches secondary weapons (grenades, med kits, etc), R1 shoots, and R3 is melee. I got used to it after just a few rounds. There is several different modes to choose from. All modes consist of attacking and defending objectives and points. I believe it chooses which team is attacking and defending at random, but it may play into the whole shadow war thing (someone can correct me if i'm wrong). There are vehicles you can drive, they handle pretty bad from the little time I used them. I have tried each mode, from the 64 person battle, to the 128 battle, to the big 256 battle. I have exprienced ZERO lag so far, which is amazing to me.

I cant fully explain to you how hectic the big battles get. You need to experience it. But Imagine your squad of 8 with another squad of 8, defending the front gate of your base. While the other team is trying to breach the gate with two transport vehicles and 4 squads of 8 people each. Grenades going off everywhere, machine gun fire ripping off around you, and people yelling for medics! It is an amazing experience. And on top of that, wait until you or the other team knocks out the AA guns from the opposing team. And your team leaders start calling in airstrikes while you are running in or parachuting in. There is so much more I could write about this game and the experience I have had. If you have any questions about it, please leave a comment and I will try to respond. Hopefully this helped...enjoy people. Go Raven!!!

I've had this stand since about a month after I purchased my PS3 and it has been a worthy investment. Standing my PS3 vertically wasn't an option until I found something to extend its base for more stability. This product met that need and even came with a handy off-switch that cuts power to the PS3 completely if that's what you like doing when you power off your machine.

" spider man, spider-man does whatever a spider can"... and Now hes Swinging onto the Playstation 3... following the blockbuster film..we now get to see the wall crawler's adventures in the next gen format..and let me tell you..its Incredible!...

the graphics are Phnominal...they are really detailed talking full advantage of the power of the ps3 spider-man has never looked better. then theres New york city itself..very detailed..well lit and huge(well its nyc what did you expect)

you have total freedom to swing around and check out the town, see the local wildlife(venom, and the lizard etc) snap some pics for jolly jonah..and stop an occasional crime or two.its all here in spider-man 3...plus lots of surprises..

the controls are tight, and responsive..activision upgraded the web swinging..and you can tell..its more fluid..and easier to navigate. but there are some minor issues such as the camera..sometimes it is more awkward than useful but thats like in the other spider man games as well..so its to be expected.. some people have said there are bugs in it and it feels rushed..i dont think so..you cant please everybody.

the core actors are back to voice their characters in the game such as tobey maguire (peter parker/spider-man) james franco(harry osborn/new goblin) as well as j.k. simmons( j. jonah jameson any scene with him is a winner and always cracks me up !) and lets not forget Bruce campbell as "the narrator" and your instructor(with his trademark comments) in the first training level.. having the actors do the voiceovers adds a quality touch to the game, and gives you that movie feeling.

there are many levels in this game, as well as the before mentioned surprises , such as being able to switch to any level you choose with the map of nyc(nice touch there) you can play through the game and EVENYUALLY meet up with Venom and the sandman or just jump around and snap some pics for the Bugle, chase down some crooks...take mary jane for a ride though the city..its all here.

the coolest features is having the Black costume..the alien symbiote..that enhances peter's powers making him more aggressive and stronger.. if you get the collectors edition..you also have the ability to play harry osborn the new goblin ( or green goblin 2 as hes known as in the comics) plus in the collectors edition you get a nice action shot from the film as well as the trailers, and web documentaries..good stuff to check out..

my only gripe about these 2 are that YOU HAVE TO UNOCK THEM..its misleading and once again treyarch/activision has it in small print inside the manual its very dishonest if you ask me.. just like the stunt they did with the "playable" venom back in the lack luster ultimate spider man... but this game is really good, so ill let it slide..it makes up for "usm" they have done a great job on all the movie games.

if your looking for a great spiderman game..and have a playstation 3 grab this title..your in for a wild ride.. THWIPP!!!

Now this is what I'm talking about!!!

This game is really cool. I have not been able to put it down. I haven't completed it yet, but here it goes. I never had a chance to play Spiderman 2 on the PS2, but I know that this installation is 10 times exponentially more fun than the 1st SM (Spiderman). The free roam ability is reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto series along with the many missions. There are also sub missions where you have to stop crimes in progress while just swinging through the city by fighting against the different crime gangs. It says there are 42 missions. And these missions are very detailed & in depth I must add. I completed the 1st Lizard mission & the large underground sewer environment in this mission is awesome. I completed the 1st Scorpion mission which took place on an island fortress that was also very detailed & the graphics were great. I have unlocked the New Goblin playable character & I have only completed a couple of mission/races with him but the 6 AXIS control is really, really, cool. You actually steer the glider by articulating the controller. I REALLY LIKE THIS. The detail of NYC is very accurate down to the missing twin towers :-(. Times Square actually has the advertisement monitors on the side of the buildings that have real ads. What's really cool is the lighting & detail in these ads. The swing controls of SM are very good. My only complaints are that are when I was fighting the Scorpion there was "selective damage" to him in the fight. During the fight I was able to inflict damage, but at other parts of the fight my attacks just passed through him & did no damage. This happened a lot during the fight. WTF developers?! This was very annoying... Also there are instances where you have to pick up an object or interact with the environment by pressing the square button. Example, I was on a mission where the clock was ticking & I had to get rid of a bomb. When standing in front of the bomb the square action button appears on the screen. Well, if you are standing in the wrong spot & press the square button, SM will perform attacks instead. THIS IS VERY ANNOYING.... My last gripe would be & I don't feel that it could have been addressed because SM can climb walls & he is in weird positions sometimes, is the camera angles are confusing & you don't know where you are. I usually end up just jumping to the ground to figure out where I am. Other than these complaints the game is excellent. I am glad that Sony developers finally created a game for the PS3 that is worthy of the system's potential. This is what I call a next generation game.

If you are a fan of the other two games you'll sure love this one.

Graphics:

The new next-gen graphic are amazing, to give you an idea, they are a lot like the movie sequences of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.

Storyline:

Follows the movie pretty closely, with two added things; Scorpion and five gangs of New York, each one has its own little back story. Although it will start off a little slow, the plot picks up after a while

Game-play and controls:

If you're used to spiderman 2 controls, you can pretty much forget them. Although the simple, basic layout is the same, all combos are different. But you'll get used to the new ones and move on. New York has been beefed up and you can now explore more of it. (you can also swim). The biggest change is you "spidy-sense", which you use to help you complete tasks by pointing out important things

Benefit of Special Edition:

YOU CAN PLAY AS THE HOB GOBLIN! You also have access to commentary and other such features.

Conclusion:

Pros:-Same great gameplay of spiderman 2

-Bigger new york

-Spidy-sense

-Play as the Hob Goblin

-Improved graphics

Cons:-Slippery controls

-Somewhat confusing camera view when climbing

-Farly steep learning curve (A.K.A. a hard game at a lot of points, especially for new or young gamers)

This game is fun and challenging... but not without bugs (no pun intended). I have seen arms going through walls, a lady's purse suspended in mid-air over, some sound crackles, etc. I still like the game.

This game currently holds the record for sales in a week and sales in one day for any video game. People like to say this is a bad game that only sells well because of advertisement and hype. If that were true it would not explain why people continue to play it or why they continue to pick this up year after year. Are all these COD fans just miserably playing online not having fun? The series maybe boring and unimpressive to many but it appeals to a demographic and it appeals to it well.

It's simple: if you've liked the previous CoD games then you'll like this one. If you were expecting something ground-breaking and new then this game is not for you. This game is like Madden. All you're going to get is new weapons, maps, some tweaks, and some new features. Whether or not this justifies the price tag is a different story. I'm purely basing my review on entertainment.

As a long-time fan of the series I'll start off with the bad. The singleplayer is as useless as ever with a non-sense story that you simply will not care about. It is repetitive and linear with overwhelming spawning enemy AI shooting from all directions serving as the only challenge. The only variation is some vehicle levels reused from previous Call of Duty entries. There are no tools at your disposable to change things up. It's the same shoot, cover, grenades mechanic in place since the first Call of Duty on PC. At least back then the firefights felt intense and you were part of an actual historical event. While Call of Duty 4's campaign was entertaining the following MW2 and MW3 don't add anything, the surprises and thrills are gone. SPOILER: when Jackson died in COD4 it was dramatic and unexpected. When this same trick is used in MW2 (twice) and MW3 it's just not as interesting.

**My major gripe is that there's no consistency of characters. Characters are constantly being introduced and killed off in every entry. Soap, Price, and Nikolai are about the only consistent thing about this series in terms of story. Even then they are just empty NPCs providing orders and guidance to the player. There's never any interaction or personality shown to make you care.

I'll move on to the reason why most people buy this game or any CoD game for that matter: the multiplayer. As usual thing are played out on medium-sized maps between 6-player teams. The most popular game modes are TDM and Domination. Multiplayer is fast, intense, and catered towards those with short attention spans like myself. You won't have to traverse much ground in order to find something to shoot at. Some prefer more variation, obviously Battlefield 3 being the main example. There's nothing wrong with that game but I prefer the down and dirty street fight. If you do too, you'll feel right at home.

The new "strike packages" are welcome giving players different options in terms of playing style and tactics. For instance, the support strike package does not rely on consecutive kills. It continually stacks and does not reset after dying. This allows players to be more aggressive while still supporting team members. Likewise the specialist strike package allows players to add perks to their original 3. After getting 8 kills they player will have all perks becoming a super soldier. Now they won't be able to call in any killstreaks but the advantage of additional perks is a great advantage in a gun vs. gun situation.

Maps were advertised as being more balanced. This is a matter of opinion but I'll have to agree. For the most part the maps have been designed to weaken camp areas. Most sniping/camp spots will have too many alternate routes to enter and flank. Other spots will just be awkwardly placed not giving the player enough view over heavy traffic areas. There are plenty of camping players but what do you expect in an FPS game.

Perks have been reorganized in a way that forces players to make some hard choices on how they set up their classes. Of course the specialist strike package remedies that but in general I've seen people go with the normal killstreaks. For instance, in previous games the player would use a perk to be invisible to radar. This perk would also double as protection against air support. They have now been separated into two different categories. The same goes for the popular 'sleight of hand' perk that allowed faster reloads as well as faster aiming. Now as two separate perks players will need to rely more on careful playing and good old reflexes.

Not such a big deal since it's identical to MW2 but the weapons are great. In Black Ops each category (assault, light machine gun, sub machine guns) had only a couple of weapons worth using. These weapons were so good there was no point in using anything else. MW3 has the reverse effect where everything works great, almost too great, where gun selection sometimes feels like it doesn't make a difference. It comes down to preference.

The downsides of multiplayer is the lack of dedicated servers which I've complained about since CoD switched over from PC. This causes you to rely on the host system. I'm not sure why but every now and then I'll be 'slower' than everyone else usually getting shot after getting behind cover or just a second before I actually spot an enemy. Sometimes I can tell this is working in my favor and I'll have an amazing time but I'd much rather everyone just be on the same level in terms of online latency.

This system prevents users from joining games. It'll just randomly throw you into any game that has a slot for you or your party. This results in throwing players into a lot of losing games. Why? With a lot of people getting frustrated and leaving a losing round it creates gaps on the losing team. Innocent players looking to join a game are suddenly thrown into a round with a 30 score gap that's about to end. The game counts this as a loss! You literally can join a game, do nothing, and still lose.

Another issue is the auto-balancing system. I don't play in a party so when I do well the next round assures that I get stuck with all of the less skilled players to make sure I lose so things stay 'fair.' I'm not using anything that puts me at an advantage over anyone else so I'm bothered that the game feels I need to be punished for playing well. To put things in perspective I have a 2.00 KDR for TDM but only a 1.20 win record. In theory that is about right since the autobalancing is doing it's job. 50 percent of the time you should be put on a good team and the other 50 the losing team. So maybe this is a good thing for some?

I've ranted on long enough but I will repeat what I said before. People do not like this game and never will. The people that do (there are obviously many) wilkl play it and enjoy it as always. The graphics are aging, the game is very similar to MW2, and if you had problems with the series before most of those problems are still there.

The game is FUN. That's all there is to it. If it's not for you that's fine. To be fair I think this is the last COD game for me. It's a solid final entry to the series but if they make another one and it's still the same I'm probably satisfied with this one.

I look at the progression of this series like this:

COD4 Introduced classes, perks, modern setting, and more arcade-like gameplay

MW2 Introduced "super power" type perks, pushed the game over the top in terms of arcade style, introduced killstreaks which would become a staple of the series, finalized the game to a console audience in terms of style, maps, and controls/weapons

Black Ops balanced the game, took a step back in terms of style, map design, weapons, and was actually a little too watered down from what MW2 was.

MW3 Balances between COD4 and MW2 very well, really no where for the series to go from here

Let me just start by saying this is only a review of the online play after a few hours logged in. I will come back and update more as I log more hours online.

Up front, was very disappointed in the presentation of the game. Graphics I thought came up very short. I actually think they took a step back in the before/between game presentation. Everything is very cold and nothing jumps out at you. I expected to be impressed before even getting into the game but I wasn't but then again it's not the gameplay so I can get passed that. The emblems and banners were different but looked cheesy compared to Black Ops. The maps were pretty cool but once again the graphics didn't impress. The cars looked cartoonish to me. But this may not be important to you as is it to me.

What is up with the voices of the players in multiplayer? Everyone sounds very tinny and I know it's not my headset because I have not experienced this in Black Ops or Battlefield. It's almost like they sacrificed voice quality for improved bandwidth for gameplay. I asked others I was playing with if they were experiencing the same thing and they said they were.

The online gameplay was laggy. I am going to give this a pass and attribute it to the first day of online play and likely a high traffic experience. It was really tough to play. For example, while playing Headquarters, I shot someone 5 times with a shotgun at close range only to have them kill me. Watching the replay from their vantage point right after, It showed me only getting off 2 shots cleanly while dying as a third shot was being fired. A 2 shot lag was a bit much. And don't say it's my connection as I have a high dedicated bandwidth connection. I will give this a pass for now since it was day 1.

One thing I did like a lot about Black Ops was that you could buy attachments and equipment early on which sort of evened the playing field a bit as opposed to having to rank up and earn the right to these things. Well it's back to the latter again.

Some of the new killstreaks are pretty cool. I especially like the attack drone (I think that's what it's called) which could be great for Headquarters games. But why do we have to unlock these for each different class we setup?? UGH!

Game invites took a step back as well. Remember in Black Ops how you could go to your friends list and just hit "select" to invite them? Well, no more! Not sure why they didn't adapt this into this release.

I used to be an Infinity Ward fan and always thought they put out a better product than Treyarch. I think the tables have turned. I am not alone on this either. Everyone I played with last night that was mic'd up agreed with me that Black Ops is a better online experience except for one person that liked this game better.

Who knows. I might feel differently the more I play it but as of right now, I may spend more time playing Battlefield 3 and Black Ops than MW3.

**Update**

I've given it another week and I have not changed my opinion of the game. I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this issue but this game lags terribly. I did not have, and still do not have these issues on any other FPS game including all of the previous CoD releases or the Battlefield games. On almost every match, I am seeing the game freeze for a split second then jump forward. It doesn't happen in the beginning of games, only when the action picks up so I am left to believe that the game is coded in such a way that it's being overloaded with data at the host. I also believe this to be the case because in one game I was in, my game aborted and I got an "out of memory" error on my screen. What is that?? Never seen that happen before on any other game. I've seen less of this on the smaller tactical games where the number of players are kept to 6-8.

I still have not got into the campaign but think I will spend most of my time there since I cannot tolerate the multiplayer any longer. I did however play the Survivor mode and really liked that a lot. It actually might be the best part of this game.

I still stand by my rating.

**Update**

Ok so I played the game off and on for about a month and I got to be honest, my feelings have not changed. The lag issue is not as bad as it was the first week the game was out but there is still noticeable lag. Let's face it....when playing online there has to be some aspect of lag and I completely accept that but I don't know why it's so much worse in this game than it was in other CoD releases. For me, it seems for the most part, the online games start ok with the lag not being that bad in the opening seconds, but as each match progresses it starts to become more noticeable. I am not sure if this is a memory issue or not but it seems the more action that is taking place, the more I notice the lag issue. I have not been back online in a few weeks, which is a CoD record for me. I've actually been online enjoying the BF3 multiplayer much more but that's not for this review.

Because of my frustrations with the online multiplayer performance, I turned to the single player campaign. I had no issues with the performance of the game in this mode, nor did I expect to. The single player campaign was actually pretty easy even on Veteran difficulty. Now I am just going back and completing the trophies to close it out.

Overall....the feeling is still the same and my rating will stick. I don't think it's a bad game but I expected more, performance wise and also in terms of creativity. I don't think this game delivers but it's just my opinion. ;)

Pros:

-Good campaign, but if you haven't played MW2&MW1 you'll be entirely lost

-Nice new multiplayer additions, such as bettys and scramblers

-Amazing new killstreaks like Strife Run and Overwatch

Cons:

-Not much originality. The multiplayer feels like a map pack for MW2

-The online maps all feel dull and similar. Hopefully the map-packs will bring some originality but we'll have to wait and see.

-Unsatisfying conclusion. Three games for... I'm not gonna spoil it.

Conclusion:

If you're a COD fan like me, this game seems old. The gameplay is fun, but if you're looking for something original try Battlefield 3. If you're new to COD, try Black Ops instead so you can understand the storyline. The Black Ops maps are also much more memorable.

I have owned all the call of duty titles, and I feel that this one fell way short. The single player is entertaining as usual, but the multiplayer, which is why most people get the game is a step in the wrong direction. The multiplayer maps are very unimaginative, just a bunch of buildings with little creativity compared to other COD titles. Weapons are basically the same but with more options. The gameplay is the worst yet. I have a 35MBPs connection with a 35ms ping to the closest major city yet each game I play is laggy as heck and many games I get booted due to server connectivity. You would think that they would have servers all over to accomidate all the users across the US! I still think due to poor online gameplay and lack of map creativity this is near the bottom of COD titles.

Want Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Discount?

Let's be honest, this game is very similar to MW2 and CODBO (more so MW2). However, the gameplay in both multiplayer and single player modes is smooth and exciting. Some multi-player improvements I appreciate noobtubes have been nerfed and last stand is only a death perk. Some bads sniping seems too easy in this game and getting into a match can take quite a while (hoping this gets patched soon).
