Fits perfectly and looks good. Real cheap so if I change my mind I can get something else. Stays on very well, and comes off very easily without leaving sticky residue. Cool.

I guess the cost is fair cause I have seen prices at other places which some are outragous. It looks good and it felt different at first but I got use to it.

This is the second skin that I purchased. The first was the bone collector red skin and I had issues applying it because I am not good with stickers. The skin has lasted without fading or peeling. That is why I decided to get one for my other controller. I nailed the application this time and I love both my skins.

This product is garbage! I would not have paid more than 50 cents if i knew how bad this is. For a quarter of that price I could have bought stickers of better quality at the dollar store. If I could this item would get ZERO stars.

I hated the straps that I received with the Wii Fender Bass and Guitar. They slipped off constantly (not fun mid-song!), and were boring black. These are basically normal guitar straps and work great for playing Wii instruments. The opening will stretch eventually (especially the top one), but the knob for the Fender guitar and bass unscrews and you can screw the top section down, keeping it nice and secure. These look GREAT with the pink Fender bass and the periwinkle-blue Fender guitar. (I also have the "Police Line DO NOT CROSS" pack, which I use on my Gretsch guitar.) You can sling them super low, if that's your thing, too. They're also really inexpensive and high quality.

I am an avid top spin player...from the 1st one to part 4. I love the technical difficulty level and can appreciate every aspect of the game. That being said, I wanted to give an honest review of GST2. While it is very arcade like and has some major issues, it is REALLY fun to play. Sometimes I just want to pick up a game and play to win and have fun...and this game delivers. If you are trying to decide which tennis game to get, get top spin4 if you want to spend hours and hours of practice just to get to an average level. If you just like tennis and want something for a few hours of entertainment get GST2.

Also...the ball does go out in this game despite some reviewers.

The sequel to Grand Slam Tennis has finally arrived after EA postponed it's efforts to release it on the PS3 and Xbox 360 following it's June 2009 Wii release. As a whole, the game is solid but with some flaws. The original version on the Wii was a cartoony version with a big ball, etc. Fun & best they could do on the Wii. This one takes full advantage of the graphical power of the PS3 but fails in other areas. Nonetheless, if you're a tennis fan -the game's worth your while as it's fun to play.

Presentation: As usual, EA delivers on presentation. Most importantly, this is the only tennis game with the Wimbledon license and that's important since Wimbledon is considered the Super Bowl of Tennis. As with most EA games, menus are slick and easy to navigate. Lots of ESPN branding also, which is good or bad -depending on your love/hate for ESPN. On the downside, the lifeless commentary from Mac & Cash gets very repetitive (as with most sports games but worse). On the plus side, it can be turned off once you get tired of it. Camera angles can't be changed & replays can't be automatically skipped (you can do so by pressing a button each time they pop up).

Roster: Arguably the best among all tennis games with the understanding that unlike NFL/NBA/MLB, there's no Players' Association, therefore you never get a full roster. Nonetheless, most player likeness' are spot on -Current stars: Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, Murray, Tsonga, Roddick, Sharapova, Williams' sisters, Ivanovic & others. Legends: Coverboy Johnny Mac, rival Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova & more. Overall, the men's roster is way better than the women's. Most stars look great, especially Williams' sisters but some are a little off, particularly Chris Evert.

Gameplay: Solid -Somewhere between Top Spin 4 and Virtua Tennis 4. Lots of game modes including an easy career mode (10 seasons), online & ESPN Classic Matches, which are lots of fun! Create mode features Gameface, where you can download your own face from EA servers. The PS3 version also features PS Move compatability (Xbox does not feature Kinect). This is where I belive the PS3 version is slightly better than the Xbox 360's. Move works very well -particularly if you're a real life tennis player & know how to control the racquet well. As for the Dualshock, you can play the game with EA's total racquet control (rewarding once mastered). Like other EA games, no buttons just thumb sticks. The good news is you have a choice to play it with the buttons or a combo of both (which is my preference). I particularly enjoy serving as it requires good timing on your toss/hit as in real life. A bit unrealistic in the fact that's it's net play dominant.

Graphics: The game shines in this department. People will walk in while you're playing and think you're watching a real tennis match. Most player models (read above) are spot on, good animation and beautifully designed courts/stadiums. Best ever on a tennis game IMO. However, celebrations and such are a bit weak as the game, as a whole, lacks emotion.

Overall: 7/10 (3.5 round up to 4 stars). Good but overemphasis on net play. The game offers lots of modes and choices on how to play it. It features a deep roster with nice graphics. After having owned all 3 tennis games (TS4/VT4) at one time -for my money -I'd choose Grand Slam Tennis 2 slightly over it's closest competitor, Top Spin 4 -because Move controls work better, the Wimbledon license & I simply had more fun with it (probably due to replaying the ESPN Classic Matches -ie. Borg vs. McEnroe, '80 Wimbledon Final).

**UPDATE** After 3+ weeks with the game, the inability to contruct a point due to the overemphasis on net play really takes away from the game. Everyone rushes the net soon enough so it becomes a game of who can get there first. EA needs to patch this!

I don't usually purchase video games at full price, but after trying out the GST2 demo, I was hooked and needed to get it right away from a big box retail store instead of waiting for the usual online purchase/delivery.

You want a more realistic tennis simulator? You're probably better off with Top Spin 4. You want silly mini games? Virtual Tennis is for you. GST2 sits comfortably somewhere in between, which suits me just perfectly fine. If you just want a no holds barred and fun motion gaming experience for the PS3 move with best in class HD graphics, this game is also for you.

EA only focused on providing motion controls for this game GST2, not for Kinect and not for the Wii (first GST version came out a few years ago only on Wii). The focus on motion gaming on one console this generation really shows. I surmise that this game hasn't been as popular as Virtual tennis & Top Spin only because this game came out a WHOLE YEAR after Virtual tennis & Top Spin.

No denying, there is a bit of a learning curve with the Move & Navigation controller usage. Isn't that part of the fun? The challenge to get better at something? Just keep in mind for power shots, you have to keep the Move controller back before you swing. It'll start vibrating a lot and let you know that you're setting up for a power shot. I really appreciate this feature. And for serves, it's really fun serving with power once you get your timing right.

If your opponent is constantly rushing the net, practice your lobs to keep them honest. If they're playing baseline, a tear drop shot would work. Firing cross court shots or along the side line is really possible. If you're on the fence about this game, it might help to read the original Wii Grand Slam Tennis game reviews. It sure helped me and my decision. Many note that it's challenging but once everything "clicks" with the motion controller, it's all fun from there. I now concur with that assessment.

Other things I love about this game: The classic modes that were re-created are so fun. Plus, you can download other recognizable players that weren't included in the original roster for free by downloading other user created players, like Agassi, Lendl, Chang, Hingis, etc. My next move is to scan my own photo to create my player. How fun is that, to create your own player avatar with your own mug on it?

Granted, you will hardly experience situations where you or the computer opponent will be hitting it outside of the lines and into the net. And yes, it's not really accurate because in real life tennis, we all know that hitting into the net and out of bounds is a huge part of the experience. But you know what? That level of frustration, I can do less of in a video game!

It's more of an arcade style game, so the emphasis is on fun & fast game play. With the immersive motion controls, I really feel empowered like a world class tennis player because I really can determine which part of the court to hit the ball and with how much top spin, power, etc. The Move is the only way to play this game IMO once you train, practice, and get your timing down. And most importantly, I'm having a lot of fun doing so.

I bought EA Grand Slam Tennis 2 to play with the PlayStation's Move Controller, and I'm happy to report this is finally a tennis sports game that gets the use of the Move Controller right. We like motion gaming, active and as realistic as possible, and we're really enjoying playing this game. We stand in the living room, waving our glowing Move controllers and jumping about, having a great time.

in EA's Grand Slam tennis 2, you use the PS3 Move Controller very much as you would a real tennis racket. How you swing the Move Controller determines the direction of your shot, the spin on the ball (flat, topspin, slice), and the power of the shot. Swing low to high, get a topspin; High to low, get a slice. Angle your body (and thus the swing) to the left, get a cross-court shot. Prepare the backswing early, get more power. The direction of your serve is likewise based on how you swing the Move controller. It is reminiscent of the paddle control in Sports Champions' Table Tennis play, but on a grander scale. (Lobs and drop shots use the Move and T buttons on the Move controller, with direction and spin still set by the swing of the Move controller.)

We also use the Navigation Controller for controlling the location of our player avatars movement on the court. I haven't had a reason to use that in a very long time (Heavy Rain, I think); there aren't many games that support it. If you don't have a Navigation Controller, you can still use the joystick on the traditional PlayStation Dual Shock controller, or you can let the game handle the movement of your avatar. Left, right, playing the angles, taking the net, are all more interesting by controlling the player directly.

We have previously purchased Topspin 4 and Virtua Tennis 4. Whatever those games merits, their support for the Move Controller were extremely disappointing (absolutely worthless Move support, mere add-on gimmickry rather than real gameplay.) As someone who really enjoys motion gaming (Sports Champions is still one of our favorite games), I am really happy that finally there was a PS3 tennis game we could really enjoy.

We have previously been playing the Wii's original EA Grand Slam Tennis. For those familiar with that, this is a huge upgrade in graphics, yet the actual motion gameplay is very similar, and so, it was easy for us to pick up. Unlike the Wii remote motion controller, the PlayStation Move controller doesn't need to be "recalibrated" every few points, and you don't have to suffer the annoyance of the cord running between the motion controller and the Nunchuck.

In addition to the gameplay, you can organize matches in several ways: play singles or doubles against an opponent in your own living room. Play against an opponent on the Internet (EA Sports Pass required, code included with the game). You can also play against the AI in singles or doubles, or in a "party" mode that includes various unorthodox match styles such as Australian doubles (3some), lob and volley contests, etc.

For solo play, there is also "career mode" where you can invent your own player avatar and guide him (or her) through ten years of tournament play, slowly improving their abilities (speed, power, accuracy, net play, endurance) in the hopes of winning the Grand Slam. (In this mode, the game will "help" your play a little according to what abilities you've earned.)

For those interested in the visuals, Grand Slam Tennis 2 has two dozen current and past champion players (who play with the tennis style of those players), or you can design your own player avatar if you prefer. The venues include all four Grand Slam tennis events (Australian, French, Wimbledon, and US Open) as well as for new tournament locations in Dubai, Geneva, Shanghai, and Brighton.

Pat Cash and John McEnroe provide the audio commentary for matches. After a few dozen hours, once you've memorized all the chatter, you can turn the volume down.

For me, it's all about the Motion Controller Gameplay, waving my arms around and cursing my footwork; and I really enjoy this game. We've played Sports Champions as well as the Wii version of Grand Slam Tennis for years, and I expect to go on enjoying this new version for the PS3 Move many more years.

Pros: Nice shot options, pretty easy to learn, realistic representation of tennis

Cons: Not enough pro players, playing vs. cpu is unrealistic, graphics are so-so, not too many options, few tournaments not a realistic ITA season

Well playing in rookie and ameteur mode is just lame. You dish out bagels no matter who you play. But if you go to pro, it is almost impossible to win. You break the opposing player (sometimes it seems way too easy) and then he/she breaks right back. Or if you are up a break or 2 the cpu decides it will suddenly make you make errors, and play amazing error free offense. Also, the 1st serv return business is unreal. You can blast a 125 mph serve and the cpu returns it for a winner; unreal. Also, aces only occur on meaningless plays or if you are down 0:40 or 15:40 to the cpu on the PRO level. I have not tried the most difficult level yet, I can imagine it is impossible to win a point.

Therefore, this game is somewhat fun, but the cpu play is horrible. I have not tried online play yet, I hope it is a bit better and more realistic. This game was made with good intentions, but it is incomplete (lacks players) and it seems it was made too rashly (slapped up to make quick money)......This is not uncommon for EA sports games.

Finally, it is pretty lame that baseline players all of a sudden serve and volley when they are down, and then become unbeatable. Also, why does Djokovic have a one handed backhand, and why does Rafa serve and volley. Ultimately, in this game serve and volley is the most effective way to win points which gets boring quickly. If you play baseline, yeah you can win, but if the opposing player approaches the net he will either pound the ball for a winner, or make you run around, try to lob him to win a point, or wait for him to make a calculated error. This aspect of the game is very lame......EA, at least give the players their right shots :)

BTW, to prove my point on calculated errors part........if you are the first to serve in the match, and your first serve is perfect...............every time it will be a fault. I mean I understand it is a first serve, but even a weak yet perfect serve goes out. WHY?

Supremacy MMA is first and foremost a fighting game, NOT an MMA simulator like UFC and EA Sports MMA. I recently got this game a few weeks ago and it is a blast to play once you LEARN the mechanics. I see a lot of reviews for this game just bashing on the fighting system and I can tell right now those reviewers pretty much turned it on, played a few fights, lost because they couldn't get the timing down right and just decided the game was horrible. I'm here to tell you right now that if you invest the time and actually learn the system the game is a lot of fun. There are a total of 14 fighters in the game.

The Bad:

Straight off the bat I will say one of the glaring weaknesses in the game are the inclusion of the two female fighters. While they are two fighters the only people they can fight with are themselves. You cannot have them fight against the male fighters. Not only are they nothing but small novelties in the game the sting of knowing the fact that it was a huge missed opportunity really hurts. So after all is said and done there really are 12 fighters in the game, which leads to my next small gripe about the game.

Even though there are twelve fighters, a two of them are actually clones of each other leaving you with 'only' 10 fighting styles.

The Good:

While there are 'only' 10 fighting styles in the game I have to say each style does play pretty different. For instance, you have the kick boxers that specialize in combos, you also have karate practitioners who specialize in counter attacking, and boxers who have fast attacks and use angles to dodge and counter their opponents just to name a few. And this is where Supremacy MMA really shines. Every fighter has both advantages and disadvantages. It's these things that help determine exactly how you will play your character. If you're a boxer, you will try to out punch a wrestler and avoid their take downs at all costs while the wrestler will have to find a way to close the gap and take down the boxer and hopefully grind them out on the ground. Each style of fighting plays different and you have to find a way to force your opponent into fighting the fight you have an advantage in.

Melee attacks are assigned to the square and triangle buttons performing punching and kicking respectively. Holding up or down while pressing these buttons will change the elevation of these attacks. The X button is used to clinch. Holding up or down during an attempt to clinch will also change the level of the clinch you put your opponent in. Blocking is handled by holding up or down on the analog stick depending on the level of the attack in any position whether it's standing, in a clinch, or on the ground. The circle button is used for parrying. This is where the game play gets interesting. Just about any attack in the game can be parried. You can stop an opponent from any attack, clinch attempt, throw, or submission attempt BUT the timing for each is different. Some parried attacks will leave your opponent open for a vicious attack or a submission attempt depending on your fighter's play style. Sure you can try blocking some of the melee attacks but holding the analog stick up or down will just leave you vulnerable to submission attempts or throws.

The submission game is also a little interesting. Once the submission is executed both players will have to wiggle the Right Stick to either complete the submission attack or escape it. A meter is filled as you wiggle the Right Stick. THIS is where a lot of reviewers give this game a lot of flack. What they didn't understand is 'adrenaline' can be used to complete or escape out of a submission hold. There is a meter under the life bar that builds up as you attack or parry. When in a submission attempt or escape the player has the option to press L1 to use some adrenaline to help them. By pressing the L1 button you get a 50% increase in submission meter to help you escape or complete the submission attempt faster. No adrenaline? Then you're out of luck and you'll have to rely on the wiggle of the Right Stick only. Hitting the X button is also the same as wiggling the Right Stick, by the wayanother thing a lot of reviewers have also missed.

At any time, as long as you have some adrenaline in your meter you can hit the L2 and R2 buttons together and go into adrenaline mode. In adrenaline mode your fighter gets an increase in attack strength, an increase in defense, and a wider window for parries. If any of your opponent's body part is red and they have no energy left AND you attack that part of the body to finish them off while in adrenaline mode you get to see a slow motion, more emphasized knockout or if its an arm or leg submission a slow motion bone break. While these animations are cool. The novelty does wear off if you're playing alone but is whole lot fun to watch if you're playing with a bunch of friends.

As you guys can see, there is a method to the madness in the fighting engine. Each aspect was well thought out and implemented. Mashing buttons in this game will not get you anywhere. As a matter fact when I play my buddies, button mashing leads to defeat 99% of the time.

There are quite a few options the game gives you when you are playing by yourself. You get the 'play it now' mode where you just jump in and pick your fighter and pick an opponent and just fight. There's the survival mode and battle royal modes. Finally, there's the Supremacy Stories mode which you pick one fighter and play through their storyline. The stories take you through a series of fights and gives you a back story on each fighter. These stories are presented through animated 2D cut scenes that are done very well. I am impressed with the art style they used to show these scenes and some of the stories are just downright depressing. You have a story of a fighter who has drug problems to a fighter who is just looking for his brother. These Supremacy Stories are definitely worth playing through at least once. There's also the basic online mode however, there just isn't anyone online playing this game at this point. Buy the game and give it a try, people! =P

Now, we have the multiplayer aspect of this game. While the single modes will last you quite a bit it's playing against your friends where the game is really fun. Me and a few buddies have been gathering together about once a week to play this game and it is surprisingly fun. Nothing can match having a human opponent next to you where you can verbally interact with while punching his face in or breaking his arm in half.

Lastly, I want to talk about the tutorial mode or lack thereof. While there is a training mode the tutorial mode is horrible. The help it gives you is virtually non existent. With training mode, however you will be able to learn some moves. The best way to learn the game, though is to just go to play it now and jump in the fire and learn the aspects of the game play. Trust me, while you may suffer a lot of losses you will learn the game and get a lot of enjoyment out of it. It took me a bunch of losses to finally learn the parrying aspects of the game and the properties of each attack but it was worth it. If you invest the time the enjoyment you will get out of the fighting engine will be immense.

With 10 different fighting styles to learn and master, a slew of single player modes, and the endless fun in fighting your friends, I highly recommend this game. It's easy for reviewers to give this game a poor score. I can tell all they did was pop it in for a few rounds and just wrote the game off as a terrible one. What I'm saying is give this game at least a try and really legitimately put the effort into learning the system. At a budget price you will be surprised at how much this game has to offer.

Original review from MetalArcade.net

MMA has been steadily growing in popularity for years. It's basically about as popular now as pro wrestling was back in the late 90's. Although these days it's mostly known because of the UFC, it started long before that in unsanctioned, underground bouts. Supremacy MMA aims to recreate that visceral experience, rather than the more straight-laced fights of the UFC (where most opponents hug each other until the clock runs out). Does it succeed? Mostly.

Supremacy MMA embraces brutality. Compared to, say, UFC Undisputed 2010, the fights are faster paced, and every move hits with a satisfying, bone-crunching thud. The fights happen mostly in underground warehouses, strip clubs, bars, etc. The entire soundtrack consists of licensed metal songs from bands like Periphery, Emmure, and Bury Your Dead (with vocals removed). Fighter's faces bruise, swell and gush blood with enough punishment. You can break opponents' bones, and even seemingly kill them. In fact, this game feels more like the recent Mortal Kombat than any UFC game I've played.

The game has a good amount of MMA stars like Jens Pulver, Shane Del Rosario, and Malaipet "The Diamond" Sasiprapa. You can play as any of them in the Story mode, where everyone has a made-up, movie-like narrative that ties the fighters together. The game even features female fighters Felice Herrig and Michele "Diablita" Gutierrez. The only catch is that the two females can only fight against each other, and thus their story mode is very short. Also, they can't be leveled up like the other fighters can. There's also challenges and an online mode.

All the fighters and their styles, like Muay Thai, Karate and Judo, are pretty well represented, and the graphics are good. The animation can be a bit stiff and jerky at times, but it's mostly forgivable. As I said before, this game features an exaggerated representation of the sport, with a much more arcadey feel. At times it even reminded me of the old Virtua Fighter arcade games.

The brutality of the combat can be fun, but it can also be very frustrating. It's mandatory that you complete the tutorial, or you'll have no clue what's going on. It's certainly not a button masher. One thing that really bothered me about the game is that a button prompt will appear by your character's health meter, indicating when to reverse. This is a terrible design flaw, as I spent most of my time in matches staring at the corner of my screen rather than watching the actual fight. If they had made the button prompt appear right in the center of the screen, this game would be much more playableperhaps a patch could fix this. Also, if you are mounted by an opponent, particularly online, that's pretty much the end of the match. No matter what I tried, in online fights I could not change positions. Speaking of online, it's pretty much a ghost town right now. And it lags like crazy most of the time. I tried playing a few fights, and I had to wait up to five minutes to get someone to join. Most times, it ended up being the same guy, and we'd mash buttons as our characters lagged insanely, creating the illusion of a fight fight from Team America: World Police.

Still, the game has enough of a unique brutality and fun factor to make it worth your money if you're a fan of the genre. It takes a bit of practice and getting used to, but Supremacy MMA can definitely be fun when you're in a bone-breaking mood.

First off, this is an arcade style fighting game. It is not meant to be a fighting sim like EA MMA or UFC Undisputed. That being said this game is awesome. When I first played the demo I was expecting a game that was similar to all the other mma games that I had played, but it was very different and I was a bit bummed. After giving the game some time and figuring out how it controlled and how to play it, it turned out to be a lot of fun. It doesn't take that long to get a hang of the game. The graphics are pretty good and the artwork in the game is pretty legit. I like the style and pace of this game. Each fighter has their own abilities, strengths and weaknesses. It is kinda like street fighter in that sense. The ground fighting is very simple and fun and you can pull off submissions and what not. Overall I have a lot more fun playing this than I do EA MMA. It is a lot more fast paced and energized and the load times are very short so you get to spend more time playing the game. I would say download the demo on PS3 and try it out for a while until you can beat the computer and figure out the game to decide if you like it or not. I for one, love it. =)

first of all I was excited for this game I had High hopes for this game I pre-ordered this game and usually a game pre-ordered ships a day early or at least on release date but this game shipped a few days after release date so I didn't get the game right away. so I was really anxious for this game. But this game let me down BiG time and I wish i didn't buy it should of definitely rented the game This game is so cheap and overpriced this game should be only worth 20$ at the most. lets start with the most discouraging tbere is no create a player mode most games now a days have create mode. lets just say that this game could of been big 5 maybe 10 years ago but we already had 3 really awesome mma games UFC 1 and 2 and EA MMA are really good MMA games. when promoting the game they said they were going to have a lot of fighters Not true there is not that many fighters in this game 2 kick boxers 2 muay thai 1 karate 1 savate 2 boxing 1 jui jistu 1 wrestler. so there are only about 10 fighters which is ridiculous plus 2 girls so 12 fighters and that was another thing they built up was the women fighters and there are only 2 women.. The guy who posted the first comment says that this game actually requires skill there is no skill involved in this game it is a button mashing arcade game which is where it belongs in an arcade it would of been more impressive if it was a downloadable game off of psnetwork then i wouldn't of expected as much. there isn't much to the game and even though i named all those styles of fighting there isn't much difference between them the game that does the best on fighting styles is EA MMA but the fighting engine and contolling is better on UFC both of those games have their strengths and Superemecy mma has nothing but weaknesses also each character has it's own storyline but they are short the men's are only 4 fights long and women's only 2 fights long which sucks.

I bought the GHWT full band set and those first generation drums were not of the best quality. Although they worked okay at first, they eventually stopped working properly. The bass pedal was plastic, felt flimsy and I damaged the sensor pad inside of it within 2 days. I recently bought the stand alone drums and they seem to be a little bit better. The cymbals seem to be much sturdier. All drum pads and cymbal pads are covered with a nice smooth skin that feels good and sounds a little bit quieter than the original rubber drum pad material. This drum kit is really accurate so far. Its sensitive enough and I haven't had any crosstalk issues yet (crosstalk = when you only hit the orange cymbal, the red pad also registers a hit).

My only complaint is that the same plastic crappy pedal is used in this kit. It doesn't feel too sturdy, but it has withstood a pounding by my fat and heavy size 11's. Red Octane did improve the bass pedal sensor a bit by adding the same skin material as the pads and cymbals. It looks like it is some kind of protective layer for the sensor pad underneath it. I think I am going to buy an upgraded electronic bass pedal so I can feel more comfortable bangin that thing with my fat feet. That will also give me the option to have some double bass action.

The kit comes with some cheap balsa wood drumsticks. I suggest sticking with these sticks, because heavier sticks will probably destroy this set with moderate pounding. I can bang on the set as hard as want with these sticks and because they are so light, I don't feel like I am going to break the set.

Overall, I am satisfied with this new drumset. I have had it for about a week now and it's still working well. I just hope it holds up for a while this time around.

They come almost completely assembled. It took me a minute or two to put everything together.

Everything is working properly, i will update if things start to break down (which i hope they wont). One little nag is that one of the drumsticks that came with it has a chipped part just around the holding area. Nothing big, but i was afraid that I'll end up with a splinter in my hand.

If drums are making too much noise for you, try putting them on the carpet. Compared to my g/f set that is on the hardwood floor, mine that are on thick carpet are making much less noise. Alternatively, you could remove the drums from their stand and position them on something soft(er).

These drums are so much fun to play-especially with the GH: Metallica game. Unfortunately, the set is nothing more than cheap plastic and cheap electronics. My first set stopped working after 3 months. Cymbals lost almost all sensitivity. I replaced the cymbals, but then the snare drum (red pad) stopped working. I attributed it to me just beating them too much, and bought a new set. Well, the red pad stopped working again after 2 weeks. I exchanged it for another new set and THAT red pad stopped working. I finally took the thing apart and the wire was loose on the red pad. Relatively easy fix, but required something like 20 screws to remove to access it, not to mention that I probably voided the warranty. After doing some research, this is apparently a very common problem. Buyer beware.

I'm certain others will be more detailed on the history, but there was a storm regarding "Beautiful Katamari". That storm happened because it was released on the XBox 360, but not the PS3 even though up to that point, the entire Katamari franchise had only been released on Playstation systems (PS2/PSP). But thankfully the developers went forward with "Katamari Damacy Tribute", which would in the US be known as "Katamari Forever". So for fans of Katamari Damacy, the wait was over and we get to see the game in HD for the PS3. I'll try to explain the game without giving too much away. So be forewarned, there might be a minor spoiler there in terms of gameplay.

First, this is NOT like the XBox 360 version. The story fits in line with any other Katamari story. Short, basic and (sometimes) confusing. The king takes a knock to the head and it's up to you, with the help of "Roboking", to restore his memory. Among other things. The overall gameplay remains consistent with one major change. You can now (spoiler) jump! Hard to reach places are no longer an obstacle and on some levels you will really need to do this to get higher scores and to different areas, not to mention collect gifts and cousins. Otherwise you use the PS2 sticks the same as always. The other difference is that the Prince gets a bit tired from doing dashes and stays that way for a bit longer, which is a little annoying to be honest.

The "Tribute" part of the game comes because really, there's not a whole lot of new material here. Whether it be items or even levels, chances are if you've played the previous incarnations of the games you've already seen all of the levels available. Within the "King" are mostly levels from "We Love Katamari", including familiar levels with Hansel and Gretel and the campfire levels. The Roboking levels are a mix, but do contain a few innovative challenges, like watering a desert with the katamari. There are several new challenges and levels available that differ even from the 360 version while adding some of what's in the 360 version to it, like the 'Rich' level.

Overall, I think this was a pretty good game however I found it easier to put this one down after a little while. The graphics were beautiful and the gameplay was relatively smooth (although jumping definitely increases the ability to get stuck between things). Also, IMO, the music wasn't quite as strong as the other versions; in some ways, the tracks felt cheaper as they're mostly remixed versions of the great originals. Hopefully in the future you'll be able to pull those off of the store or something. ALSO, and this is A BIG knock there is NO online game-play. Just leaderboards. So you can't connect with someone else playing the game for a co-op or battle like I believe you could on the 360 version. Having said all of this, if you're new to Katamari Damacy you won't feel like you've missed a ton of history. But if you've been there from the beginning, you might be a little under-whelmed. Overall I'd rate it a bit better than the 360 version as the controls on that one weren't quite as good, IMO.

I now own three Katamari games Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari, and Katamari Forever. And while this one might be the "best" of the bunch, I'm starting to wonder...about the wonder. The fact is, we have all been here before. Literally.

"Katamari Forever" essentially repeats the stages from "Katamari Damacy" and "We Love Katamari". And when I say repeat, I mean it literally. You'll see a race stage. You'll see a sumo stage. You'll see a stage to create the moon. You'll see an underwater stage. Yes, the total number of stages are pretty staggering (and more so when one considers the different modes more on that in a moment). But they are just like their earlier counterparts. OK so the graphics are in HD. I wasn't aware that this game was selling itself on graphical prowess.

But anyway, on to

Pros:

Fun. This game is still fun. And while I have played nearly all of these stages before, it doesn't change the fact that it is a lot of fun to create a massive sumo that eats an entire town.

Game Modes. OK Katamari Forever mode is what you expect, and if the whole game was simply this, it would rate 3 stars. But then, you unlock "Katamari Drive" mode, which puts everything into super speed. And honestly, this is what Katamari should be about. The super speed levels (and you can play them ALL in super speed) are, simply put, the most fun I've ever had playing Katamari. Play well enough here, and you can unlock Eternal mode, which allows you to roll as long as you want on any stage. It's great if you are wanting to complete your collection, but it's also nice if you just want to roll a really, REALLY big Katamari. Finally, you can unlock Classic Katamari mode, which essentially lets you play the stages without the new bells and whistles, and in the original graphics. This didn't wow me, but it was surprisingly different to be so similar.

Colorful. One thing about the great graphics we see on the PS there is no real aesthetic beauty. In an attempt at realism, many games look bland, dark and dull. Not a problem with Katamari. While the graphics are nothing special, there is so much color that it astounds. All the colors of the rainbow.

Multiplayer. It's fun. I like both the co-op mode and the versus mode.

Trophies. They are tough, but well thought out.

Cons:

Control. At times, you will be frustrated to no end with the control. Is this a ramp I can roll over? No its simply a step that is destroying my katamari. I hate the sixaxis motion controls, and their use here is no exception. Thankfully, you need not use the silly motion to jump there is a button command as well. Unfortunately, the hop never goes where you want, and is generally a pain in the rear.

Graphics. Yes, I like the color. But We can do more in our royal majesty. I mean, when you rehash levels, the least you can do is enhance the graphics. I do like the new graphics mode (although "comic" and "wood" leave me cold). But let's put a little more effort here, shall We?

Minigames. I generally like minigames. I only like one here (the "Beautiful Katamari" endgame, which is fantastic).

Price. Fifty bucks?!? Really?!?!?! I remember the original was twenty, immediately upon release! This seems a little steep. Still, you will be playing for a while, so maybe it isn't so bad.

All in all, I would recommend this game to fans and newbies. But if you weren't wowed by the original offerings, this isn't going to change your mind.

I was lucky enough to get the first Katamari game for the ps2 when it first came out, and experience it before seemingly everyone got Katamari fever. The game was completely original, fun, had an excellent soundtrack, and I place it in my top 10 ps2 games. It got a sequel fairly quickly, and then another one on the PSP a few years later. I enjoyed the PSP game a bit, though was a bit curious as to why so many levels from the first game (and apparently the second, though I never got to play it all the way through) were in there. Now with Katamari Forever, I can see that the developers don't know what to do with this franchise, and it's easy to see why the creator has moved on to other thingsthis is more of the same.

If you haven't played a Katamari game before, then you'll probably really enjoy this game, and can add another star to the rating. You play as the Prince, a little green guy who rolls around a Bumble Ball-looking object called a Katamari. You roll it around rooms, streets, towns, and over the entire world eventually, collecting everything in your path. Your Katamari will start out small, but can grow to be thousands of kilometers in size! An example being that you start out in someone's messy bedroom, but after you collect enough, you'll be big enough to pick up cars and people outside, and after that, you'll be picking up islands, boats and entire countries. When done in a level, your Katamari is used to create an object in space like a star, satellite or planet. It's totally fun, and somehow relaxing, though there are a few problems I'll get into in a bit. You control the Prince/Katamari with both analog sticksif you want to move forward, you tilt both up, etc. You're collecting objects this time because your dad, the King of all Cosmos has lost his memory, and to have someone in his place temporarily, the Prince and his cousins made a robot king, but he's going a bit crazy. You'll be rolling up in levels for both the King and the RoboKing.

And here's where my problems kick inthe King's levels start out in black and white, which is cool because as you pick up more, the world comes into color, showing that he's regaining his memory. But from what I could tell, all of these levels are from the previous games. While that makes some sense because they're things that happened in the past, I see it as the developers just being cheap and not wanting to put time into creating original levels. There were many times when I thought to myself "hey, I played this in 2005". Again, if you haven't played the games before, it'll be no big deal, but for myselfsome of these levels are making their appearance for the 5th time now (twice on the ps2, once on the PSP and maybe once on the Xbox360's game). Next, the camera is still just as bad as it was in the old games. Sometimes you'll get in front of a wall and the camera won't zoom in more, or do the nice x-ray thing it does every now and then, and you'll be trying to get your way around whatever it is you may be stuck on. There's also a lot of slowdown in some levels, which stuck me as odd considering how powerful the ps3 is, and how light this game is in the graphics department. If games like SoulCalibur 4 and Dead Space can play smoothly, why is Katamari Forever getting such bad slowdown here and there? Finally, get thisremember all the great songs from the first game? The same songs that got remixed and put in all the sequels? They've been remixed again and make up most of the soundtrack! Granted, 2 or 3 of the remixes are good, but once more, can we get something new PLEASE??

There are a few new things thrown in, but nothing too big. The Prince can now jump(!) with the Katamari if you press R2 or shake the controller. You're better off with R2 because everyone I know can never pull it off by shaking, and it's not the controller's fault either. This jump is useful but still has some control issues. There's also a multiplayer optionyou can battle another player on the same console and try to roll up more objects than them or get a certain item before they do and hold it until time's up. Or you can play cooperatively and complete a level together...using the same Katamari. This is pretty clever but requires a lot of communication since one person controls the left side and the other controls the right. There are also a lot of Trophies you can get here to keep you busy, though a few require more patience than skill. And finally, I have to give them some credit for having a level where you roll around a sumo instead of a Katamari, and collect food to make him bigger in order to challenge another sumo. I can play that level at any time and still smile seeing this giant sumo rolling around with dogs and bikes stuck to it.

Don't get me wrongI enjoyed playing this game, and I can't stress it enough when I say that if you've never played a game in the series before, the score gets an extra star. But after 5+ years, the series should be making progressnot be stuck with the same levels with a story of amnesia to be used as a cheap excuse for it. And at that price? Ouch. Either until it drops, or borrow it and then see how you like it. You'd think that with it being so close to the previous games, it could've stayed at their price points when they first came out too.

Katamari is a strange game. If you're playing this when someone who knows nothing about this game walks into the room they're gonna be wondering what the heck you're doing. It's very fun and addicting. The problem that I have with the franchise is that they don't make me feel like I'm playing a new title. I've read a lot of reviews cutting the game some slack for the fact that it doesn't change too much about the previous titles. I was ok with that on the last game, but now I feel a little cheated. This time even more than the last time I feel like I'm playing the same game because in some instances you are actually playing the memories from the last game. I think that's great for those who may have missed the others or people who just want to play the same thing, but I was expecting more from this title being that it's nextgen on the PS3. I understand that the 360 has already had a Katamari grace it's console, but this has been released a lot later and I just expected more. Another disappointment is that the music feels a lot more like easy listening as opposed to the strange, quirky tracks that were in the previous outings. In most cases they're the same songs just remixed differently. All in all this is a great place to start if you're new to Katamari. If you're on the fence and own previous titles I would just recommend waiting until the price drops into budget range.

I LOVE it. I have nothing bad to say about it at all.

Its extremely addicting. Not only does it have some of the levels from the previous games, but it has tons of new and unique levels. Its no longer just 'roll up the katamari to be as big as possible' type game play, there are a lot of really interesting new things to do. My favorite part is that you can now play as the other cousins. (Okay, I do have one negative thing to say.. They changed Dipp's colorful strobe-like spots to stars. ); He lost the spot as my favorite character.)

I still haven't completed the whole game, but once you finish all of the levels there's new ways to complete earlier levels which makes them as fun as the first time I played them again. :) Maybe its not like the typical shooting or sports game, but its worth buying!!

I bought this at BestBuy and used a $15 off coupon so it was worth it to me. I have been wanting to play 'Resistance:FOM' for some time and with this dual pack I get the second one too. I doubt I will be ready for Resistance 3 which is right around the corner, but at least I will know some of the gameplay, characters and story if I decide to buy and play the game anyway.

There isn't much to say about this item. on a basic level, it's worth the money if you're starting from the beginning and want to get caught up or just want to get into this series. Resistance is still a downloadable demo so I suggest that first. This game is pretty hard. I can't imagine it on a harder level, that's suicide. It take some getting used too, and a lot of dying, but you will eventually get the hang of it. Shooters are usually harder than RPG's anyway.

The gameplay is fun and so is the surrounding atmosphere. I love my fellow soldiers, although I'm terrible at saving/protecting them. Gotta work on that. The gameplay is fast and frantic, and if you don't die a thousand times you will probably finish in a decent time.

I think we need more dual packs, but the price can be a little better than $39. about $29 is good enough, especially if the game is pretty old, like the first Resistance is. I can use a dual pack of Bioshock 1 and 2.

Great buy tho!

If you have a PS3 and you are a fan of FPS, then stop reading this review and buy these games! Resistance is one of the best franchises in the industry. The story is fantastic and will keep you interested and intrigued. Graphics will not impress you. These games are definitely showing their age, but it doesn't distract from the experience. I'm a firm believer that graphics aren't everything. The gameplay is smooth, but there is a bit of a learning curve if you are picking up the first game for the first time. The control scheme can be a bit weird now because almost every shooter uses the Call of Duty control style. Sound is great with both games and it will immerse you. BOTTOM LINE: Buy these games. Even if it isn't the Dual Pack. If you own a PS3 and love FPS shooters, there really isn't any reason you shouldn't have these games in your library.

I would hae to say the story line was quite good. Very interesting incorporating such a story during that time period. My only dislikes about this pack was the adaptation from the first to second game. They did a pretty dramatic change in controller functions from the first to the 2nd. It wasn't hard to get use to but I sort of liked the feel of the first games controlls better than the 2nds.

Exactly the part I needed, note that the battery itself fits into the controller, but depending on which model controller you may end up with old battery internal cradle or the battery might just end up plugged in with nothing securing it in place...either way it work great and at the price so worth it. Fender Precision Bass (P-Bass) for Playstation 3 (PS3) & Rock Band 2

Just got my Mad Catz Fender bass. Out of the box the controller looks cool... Easy assembly just pop the head on, add the strap, and toss in the batteries.

I wish I could tell you how well it worked. Unfortunately the bass guitar loses connection every 10-15 seconds and then reconnects 5-15 seconds later. I could not make it through a single song. I was able to hold a semi stable connection if I stayed within 5 feet of the USB dongle. I say semi because if you move around... there goes the connection again. I've already filed for a return with Amazon.

Mad Catz obviously skimped on the wireless transmitter/receiver in this guitar. What a waste, $90 for a guitar that doesn't work... phiffff...

Pros: Looks great, good feel, good weight. Little larger than the RB guitar but comfortable.

Cons: It doesn't freak'n work!! LOSES CONNECTION EVERY 10-15 SECONDS. Strum bars are rather 'clicky'. Frets were omitted on the finger taps. Does not provide auto calibration.

I would not recommend this product until Mad Catz adds a functional wireless transmitter/receiver to this product. Prospective buyers be warned.

Like other reviewers, I purchased one of these controllers and it had so many problems losing it's connection to the PS3 that it was unplayable. I shipped it back for a replacement which I received right away (thank you Amazon). The second controller had the same exact problem. I am sending it back for a complete refund. I don't understand how a company can put out such a bad product and stay in business. Too bad, I've been waiting a year for this controller to become available!

Waiting patiently for this product to be released didn't pay off. (The release date had been pushed back multiple times)

Out of the box, the item was dead on arrival. The wireless dongle kept intermittently losing its connection with the guitar. Happened multiple times per song. Ordered a replacement from Amazon, but unfortunately, the result was the same. The only difference was it was happening less frequently. Returned replacement for a full refund and ordered the Logitech guitar instead (nearly the same price).

I'll just reiterate that it's a beautiful looking bass replica, with nice fret buttons (I especially like the duplicate half-sized fret buttons further down the neck, for smaller hands), BUT, it will not stay connected to the PS3 for more than 10-15 seconds at a time. It's such a shame for that oversight to ruin a great product. Who was responsible for testing this at Mad Catz anyway?

Ok, this game is getting some MAJOR Hate and I can see why. Its nothing but a broken mess. However, FEAR NOT! If you're buying this game for the first time AND have your PS3 connected to the internet you are perfectly fine. Once you start your game you'll download Patch 3.00 which fixes everything, but ONLY with the start of a new game. A lot of people have been complaining that even with Patch 3.00 they are still having problems like Gringotts Bank is now closed and won't open and some character tokens are still not appearing. However, these people already have a game started prior to downloading Patch 3.00. I got the game for Christmas, downloaded Patch 3.00 and had no problems whatsoever. I was able to successfully get the Platinum trophy with no problem. The gameplay is fun, the story is memorable, and if you've loved all the other Lego games you'll love this one! For those of you who started a game prior to Patch 3.00 and are still having problems I'm terribly sorry. Hopefully Traveler Tales doesn't make the same mistake of releasing a broken game with their next installment.

I've been a big fan of the Lego games since playing my first "Star Wars" video game a few years back. At first, I really thought as an adult that the Lego games were just for kids, not challenging nor fun. Boy, was I wrong. The Lego video games are an engaging series infused with what I call a "Lego" sense of humor that permeates through the game. From Star Wars to the challenging Batman game, to my personal favorite, Indian Jones, they all have been pleasurable experiences. When I heard about Harry Potter coming out as a video game, I was elated. And truth be told, this game is as good as all of the others in the series. At first it seemed as if Harry Potter and Lego have somehow parted ways. There weren't any Lego sets released with the last movie, and nothing much on the Lego website about Harry Potter in general. However, the two have united again in a very fun video game, "Harry Potter: Years 1 -4".

Since I'm a casual adult gamer (I play video games but won't spend days playing a game straight without a break), my review comes from that perspective. First, the creators of the game have gotten so much right about this game. From the infusion of the magical components of the game to the story to the characterization of the people, it all works brilliantly. The game starts as Harry is whisked from his sad existence at Privet Drive to Diagon Alley, accompanied by a lovable Hagrid. This section is designed to teach you everything there is to know about the game. However, if you've played any of the Lego video games before, it's all very instinctive and natural. There are some specific controls that you need to learn to move things and cast spells, but it all feels very natural. Just in the first level alone, you can make things fly, move, and animate with a flick of the wand. It's all very entertaining!

When Harry reaches Hogwarts, I was impressed with the both level of detail in the design of the game, as well as Lego components that are infused in the place. It feels very natural and yet very Lego! For those of you like me who adore the coin collection part of the game (it's rather an obsession of mine), Lego has that back and allows you to collect to your hearts content as you smash your way to wealth! Another one of the better additions to the game is also the use of "Polyjuice Potion" to be able to change characters through the game play to make your way through the levels. The challenge of the game isn't too great (I made my way through the first movie on the first day, which was approximately six levels), and you are given spells to use as you need them. I like the gradual release of these spells because you actually remember them.

What are the drawbacks? For one thing, there doesn't seem to be an "area to explore" as in, an area to wander around. You are pretty confined to the "sets" to explore. While in Hogwarts, you can definitely not follow your ghost guide and try to accomplish other tasks, but it definitely isn't an open range. Another drawback is the broom flying feature is a bit weak and hard to get used to. You don't ride from the front on perspective, but from the side, making depth perception a bit tricky.

NEW SECTION: I've been reading the comments from players who are stuck in Professor Flitwick's dungeon. I just played that level in my game, and got out of the room without any problem. After I assembled the dragon, it threw my character up in the air and back into the classroom without any issues. However, I understand the frustration from others who haven't been able to leave that room. (It happened to me once in another game that wasn't working properly on my system, and when I wrote a negative review about the game, I was hammered with unhelpful feedback.) However, because I didn't have the glitch in my game, my review score will stand.

If you are a Harry Potter fan, you'll be purchasing this game immediately. I've played the other games and loved them for their realism and attention to detail. This one? It's just plain fun!

Buy LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 Now

Pros:

-Fun game

-Enjoyable story adaptation (similar to previous Lego games)

-Consistent with the Lego game franchise

Cons:

-Freezes progress lost and requires a hard reboot

-Impossible to complete game glitch traps player permanently

I have enjoyed all of the Traveler's Tales Lego games in the past, and this game fits well in the series. Fans of the Harry Potter series will enjoy the story tie in as well as the gameplay that we all expect from the Lego game franchise.

While the game itself is good, I have had my PS3 freeze eight times while playing this game. This is eight more times than it has ever frozen before playing Lego Harry Potter. This freeze requires a hard reboot of the PS3 system; accessing the XMB (system menu) is not possible. Having the system freeze is quite frustrating; all progress since the last save is lost while untold damage is being done to the hardware.

Much more frustrating is the game stopping glitch that I came across. While exploring the dungeon below Flitwick's classroom (available after learning the final spell in year four, the orange one) I became stuck. Stuck as in a glitch prevents me from exiting this dungeon and progressing further in the game. Quitting the game, restarting the system, and reloading the saved game bring the player back to the exact same point (trapped in the dungeon).

Here is what WB customer service told me:

"This issue is currently under investigation, however sometimes restarting the console and reloading the save can resolve this issue."

"We have had reports that if the player encounters the bug, then exits to the Leaky Cauldron and then activates a save point such as: Completing a Story event or Free Play level, buying something from the shop, unlocking a building level etc , then even resetting the console will not fix this. Selecting return to Hogwarts will then take them to the Dragon room and they will again be unable to get out. We are in the process of investigating the best solution for this."

While it worked I thoroughly enjoyed Lego Harry Potter on my PS3. Given the fact that this game is playable for periods between freezes and comes to an untimely end (before the game is complete), I cannot recommend it to anybody or rate it higher than one star.

To escape the dragon room glitch:

1) Play as Hermione and select her cat on the spell wheel.

2) Head over to the far left corner.

3) Jumping into this corner will kill your character, but while jumping into the corner, rapidly tap the "release pet" button.

4) It may take a few attempts but the pet will appear in the classroom area.

5) From here, the player can leave the classroom and continue the game.

We purchased this game the day it was released and have put about a weeks worth of playing time into it our whole family has individual games saved.

So far it has blackscreened (right in the middle of playing we got a black screen no sound, nothingthe whole thing locked up) several times, lost picture (could still hear the sound/game play) multiple times, the whole thing reset our Playstation 3 once, and the game freezes (completely locks up but there is still sound and picture) during game play way more often than any other game we have owned. We finally exchanged the game hoping it was a defective copy. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it was.

After finally getting the new copy, I am now stuck in a room underneath another room with a dragon. There is no way out. (Well, there is supposed to be, but the game glitched and instead of the dragon boosting me out, it threw me backwards into the room.) Even if I exit back to the Leaky Cauldron and return to Hogwarts, it still drops me back into the room. I have no way of continuing game play other than to go through the free play section and hope for a patch.

According to the game forums I have read regarding this massive dead end glitch, the game company is aware of this problem (and has been for days) and blame the consoles for the problem. None of their suggestions work to get me out of this room. So rather than sending me a patch to fix my problem and get me out of this dead end, my only option is to restart my game. NOT COOL!

Considering the poor quality of game play and the very linear aspect of the story line, I doubt I will start the whole game over. It just isn't worth it.

Having looked forward to a new Lego game for so long, I am truly disappointed in this game.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I didn't know what to expect from a lower-priced racing wheel for the PS3 (I've played with one of the wheels that cost in the triple figures at a friend's house and must say that they're really cool and add a lot to racing gameplay). What I was happy about was that this is officially licensed through SCEA as an Official accessory for the PS3. That alone let me know this wouldn't be a disastrous product. Perhaps Sony's involvement in officially licensing this product for their system had some effect on putting a reasonable pricetag on this product because, honestly, the dropoff from higher-priced wheels is not terribly noticeable and certainly should NOT be a dealbreaker.

The one qualm is you really need to make sure you've got the suction cups stuck down as tight as they will go. I've heard complaints that the steering and braking (the unit comes with a separate pedal for that by the way, along with an accelerator pedal) can be a little sensitive but that's essentially due to the game-play designs of the various games which are compatible with this. They are trying to accurately replicate high-speed car handling and driving conditions, hence it will require skill to master your driving techniques. Overall, I have no major complaints and couldn't be happier with owning this product. I can honestly say I do not feel the need to upgrade to a higher-priced racing wheel. Probably only the most hardened racing game enthusiast would pass on this product in favor of one that costs twice as much.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I play Grand Turismo 5 on occasion as well as other racing games. I am not a die hard fan of these games so I never considered dropping $100+ on a steering wheel controller. I had used my friends Logitech wheel once and found it fun but the cost was just too hgh. After seeing this less expensive wheel, I decided to give it a try with just modest expectations. I was very surprised when I received it and saw how sturdy it is. I hooked it up to my PS3 and it was immediatley found. Within minutes I was in my first GT5 race and realizing how much harder it is using a wheel vs. a normal controller!

After several races, I was able to settle in and learn the sensitivity. The wheel does have turn limits unlike the Logitech wheel I had used before so that took a bit to get used to. Obviously if you are racing online all the time and want a more accurate representation of driving, you would have to spend more for a different wheel. However, this alternative is perfect for people like me.

It doesn't require any type of permanent placement (screws, nails etc...) as it has suction cups that hold very well to the wooden TV stand I had it on. the paddle shifters are nice and match a lot of cars these days. The pedals hold well to the carpet. With all of this, I am very happy that I got this controller!

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I'm not a fan of 3rd Party accessories, never was. Call it OCD or brand loyalty but I like seeing "Sony" or "Playstation" on all the accessories for my PS3. You also get quality consistency with 1st party accessories. Now, this isn't made by Sony but it does bear the official brand logo and is licensed by them. For me that says that this passess all of Sony's expectations and they allowed HORI to put their logo on it.

The wheel is fantastic. It feels good in the hands, the button layout is great and the response is good. And for the price of a game it won't break the bank too hard. You could go with the higher priced Logitech set if you wanted. Yes, that set has a stick shift, yes that set has a smoother look and yes that set has the button layout to mirror the DualShock 3. It also costs almost double this one. Since I'm not a hardcore race fan or own a lot of racing games I'm not willing to blow $110 on a wheel. The HORI one is all I need.

Obviously this is an affordable wheel and you can't expect what you are going to get with a more expensive wheel like the G27 or the G25 in terms of size and pedals, but in terms of being able to have fun with it making your expectations realistic about a gaming wheel, this product meets all the expectations.

I bought it for a couple things. At the time I never had tried a gaming wheel before and i wanted to know what a wheel feels like for gaming, so i was looking for something not to expensive in case it wasn't all that.

Another reason why I got it is because it was licenced by Sony and I trusted it was going to work well with GT5, I had been playing with my regular control and I wanted to amp up my experience since the game is realistic on its own.

I was very skeptical and with very low expectations because before buying anything I look for video reviews on YouTube, I saw a guy reviewing it with GT5 and I noticed that when the guy on the game moved the arms, it was delayed from when the actual player moved the wheel.

This was going to really dissapoint me because you want the wheel to move at the same time as the graphs do, but even then I still wanted to have it, the price felt right and I went ahead and get it.

The delivery was very fast and better than I thought, I opened it immediately as I was very excited waiting for it. I was surprised that the quality of the material of the wheel was very good. The size was small, but I was expecting worse, it actually came a lot better than I thought. It's a very good looking wheel, it even has the PlayStation logo on it making it look official..

The pedals are plastic, very gaming like pedals, just enough to have fun with them, but for the price I was happy that it even came with pedals at all. It's a nice thing to have.

I put it on right away and to my surprise the wheel is very accurate, I don't know what weird settings had the guy on YouTube but the wheel responds perfectly and very realistic with GT5, it has the exact same timing as the driver on the graphs do, and that alone made me completely satisfied.

I can even go further and say that driving GT5 with this thing is way easier than with the controller, as soon as I started playing it I already had better results than with the regular PS3 controller. In fact I got gold in international licences that with the regular control I was not able to get.

Another great thing about it is that it comes with vibration just like the PS3 controller has, in some reviews it said that it didn't have this feature, but it does and it works well because it follows the same timing as the PS3 one gives you. It's a nice thing to have on the wheel.

The setting are easy to set up on the game, in fact they come already automatically set up for GT5, and you can still change them as this works just like the regular controller.

It comes with paddle shifters, so you can have fun playing manual driving with this as well, many of the nice cars on GT5 use paddle shifters in real life, so having a stick it's not necessary for those, but paddle shifters are, and this wheel has them, they feel good enough.

It comes with succion cups to keep it still on a glass coffee table, it is the only thing that provides to keep it still, so if you want to keep it still on something other than glass you will have to come up with your own solution. I do have a glass coffee table so this was not a problem for me, if I wet the cups it keeps it firm enough.

What I do is I lift my coffee table with two tall chairs one on each side, plus milk cans and it stays on the perfect height of a real car, then I put the pedals against the TV stand so they don't move forward and the gaming experience is very good, quite realistic if you ask me, considering what I'm working with. I have a big HDTV Bravia so it looks nice.

The pedals are very small so you will have to play with your socks, because with shoes you won't be able to respond well to the driving, but they came already programmed well for the brake and the gas so you don't have to worry about that.

In order for the wheel to be recognized you have to plug it to the PS3 before your turn on the console, otherwise it won't read it, also it doesn't come with connections for the PS2 which has a lot of good car games, and I think that's the only downside of it.

But overall with all the good things about it I mentioned this wheel meets the expectations of fun good playing and very accurate. With a fair price this wheel does deserve 5 stars and I recommend it to all those that want to start to enjoy your car games already, specially GT5, while you save to upgrade to something like the PlaySeat and the G27. Why wait when you can already start having fun with it?

Con's

1) The wheels and pedals are small.

2) I know that there was no force feedback in this one, but even the vibrations are less.

3) I lose 3-5 sec per lap in GT5 which is bad as compared to a controller.

4) Not very comfortable if u use straps or hook in onto a table.
