The Rock Pedal is a fantastic bass pedal. I spent days going over review after review of the "big three" (Omega, Destroyer, Rock) before finally settling with this one. As of right now, it's been a few weeks and I must say I'm pretty happy with it, although my sentiments weren't the same when I first got it.

First off, let me say, if you're not an experienced drummer or if you have no patience, don't bother trying to adjust the pedal. Jordan, who I'm guessing is the RP inventor, makes youtube videos on how to adjust it, and he whips right through it "oh it's easy, you just do this, this and bam you're done". The problem is not everyone has adjusted a bass pedal, so after seeing him do it so easy while you spend an hour trying to find the perfect calibration gets pretty tiring.

So after the first time of getting it calibrated, I was ready to see how this thing could handle a song with lots of heavy pounding bass, so I chose Indestructible, which is one I had gold starred before getting this pedal. Much to my dismay, apparently I didn't tighten it enough and it just sank to the bottom and never came back about halfway through.

However, after spending another good amount of time getting it calibrated, and making sure the bolts are super tight, it's been absolutely perfect. It's been a couple weeks now and I have a roommate who loves to play super hard and stomp the hell out of it for whatever reason and several other friends of mine have used it, loved it and had no problems. It took some getting used to but now I could never go back.

PROS: Unbreakable no-contact sensor, heavy duty construction, DOES NOT SLIDE on carpets, very willing and supportive customer service team.

CONS: Initial adjustments were incredibly painstaking but in the end, totally worth it.

I purchased this pedal to replace the stock ION Drum Rocker pedal. This pedal is quiet, responsive and completely adjustable. Hands down the best pedal you can get for Rock Band 1&2.

It takes a little getting used to compared to the stock Rock Band plastic pedal or the stock ION Drum Rocker pedal since it takes a little more pressure to push the pedal down. This is not a bad thing at all. You can adjust the pedal and make it easier to push, as well as the pedal height. This means you can shorten the distance between the pedal and the sensor. Also, another big plus with Rock Pedal is the people behind it. I have emailed questions to them and gotten immediate responses.

I cannot recommend this pedal enough. If you're frustrated with loud or broken pedals, missed notes or if you just want a better drumming experience, this is the last pedal you will ever need.

I've had this pedal for approximately nine months. I've broken two springs because I like my tension high so I can rest my foot on the pedal without it triggering. It is hard to set the tension high without putting too much stress on the spring resulting in it breaking. Be prepared to essentially take your foot off of the pedal between each beat.

There is a magnet in the bottom of the foot pedal that, when pushed down, triggers the pedal. This was originally glued in and it just fell out of mine. Not a big deal I just glued it back in. The pedal is built tough though.

The pedal has a 12 month "no bs" warranty. I asked for a spring replacement four weeks ago. It took him a week to respond and he said that he had a back injury but will immediately mail it to me. Well, three weeks later I still don't have it. I e-mailed him again last week and I have not heard anything.

In conclusion, the spring tends to break when set to a high tension. My magnet fell out but I just glued it back in. Luckily, I didn't lose it. The customer service was not that great considering that it was a "12 month no bs" warranty and it was heavily advertised on their website. I do not know if there is a better substitute as this is the only pedal I have tried.

I happen to own this very pedal for my first bass pedal ever on my real drum kit. While it certainly is a HUGE upgrade over the rubbish stock pedal that comes with the RB2 kit, it is also one of the worst pedals you can buy for a drum kit.

Pulse is an entry level drum hardware company, and they don't exactly have a reputation for pedal feel. If only they'll make a peripheral out of the DW9000 pedal!

Thus, if you've NEVER dedicated any long term investments in real drums before, this pedal will serve you well. If you're an experienced drummer looking to replicate the real deal experience on Rock Band, you're in for a disappointment!

I bought the product because it was VERY cheap, when I got the controller I was expecting something that slightly resembled the feel and look of the playstation 3 controller I already owned. When I unboxed it I was slightly disappointed but I decided to try it out. I started up a game and immediately noticed the friction on the sticks. I thought that it may be an ok thing then I tried to sprint using L3 and it didn't work. I tried 20 more times and I only got it to work 4 times. Overall I am disappointed even for 16 dollars this was seriously a piece of s***.

I hope anyone who wants to make this purchase first reads the reviews. I'm not sure which is worst, the product or the sub par service from"Seller1on1". I immediately returned this product once it arrived. What bothers me the most is, the seller asked that I remove my negative feedback! If you research the seller, they seem to have 5 stars. Apparently they are bribing consumers with $5 credits to remove their feedback.

Before we start the review let me give you the run down of what this product is. It is a Playstation 3 skin that you can put on top of your PS3. It is for the fat PS3 NOT slim by any chance. I bought this not too long ago and I do own a 60gb PS3. My previous skin was the OFFICIAL Batman AA skin. Keep this in mind that this skin is custom made. As you look at the product picture, notice that Lightning's hand and arm lined up perfectly. That is not the case when I put this on my mine PS3. The rectangle sticker that I put on the eject disk and power on/off region fit perfectly on to the space on my PS3 but not the alignment of the artwork. It was off by a good amount of space. The cut out for the eject and power button is terrible. It just plain rectangle and it could had been a oval or a circle to reduce visibility of the button and make the artwork blend in more naturally. Now on to the selling part of the skin, the big region that has Lighting's face and FFXIII logo. The artwork is beautiful but when I install it on my PS3 a good amount of space that the skin did not cover. I applied on the far left of my PS3 and slowly work my way to the right but I notice that the skin need some extra room to cover my entire PS3. Same thing happened to the top. If I were to position the skin a little bit to the center, then the artwork will not be aligned perfectly. Note that the material is very soft and air bubbles is inescapable. No matter what you do it will be there. The material could had been a bit thicker and therefore produce a smoother surface with less air bubbles. To me this material feels like bumper sticker. If you have a official skin go and feel how thick it is and if you have a bumper sticker near by, make a comparison. Overall this a good skin but not great. Extra gap of black that the skin did not cover is noticeable. The material doesn't feel to good when handling it. The space for the buttons is very ugly. If you looking for a skin to replace your boring official skin. This might be the one for you. As for me I'm going back to my old Batman AA because the material and it fit better.

The decal looks like an original PS3, not merely a skin. I have had it on three different PS3 consoles, and there is no sticky residue to be left; it's essentially a static cling. Like all static clings (such as computer/phone/camera screen protectors), it's a pain to get on at first, but the instructions are good. With time and patience you can get it on quite easily using a credit card or driver's license to smooth out the bubbles. Every time I move it it is easier to put on the new console.

There is also a version for the PS3 Slim: Final Fantasy XIII 13 Limited Edition Game Skin for Sony Playstation 3 Slim Console. The button cutouts are a slightly different shape and look more natural. I am guessing the quality is the same, but I have stuck with backwards-compatible modals, so I can't confirm the quality of the PS3 Slim.

The weight is nicer than the old sixaxis and the dual shock is just like it was in psone and ps2. The white color is cool and goes nicely with my Wii remotes sitting on my table. I recently imported two Dual Shock 3 Controllers for $59.99. The controllers are amazing. The controller has the standard motion control of the Sixaxis but adds the Vibration function from the Dual Shock 2. The added weight of the Vibration components make the controller much better in your hand then the standard Sixaxis.

Also Sony is adding patches to a number of its games to add the Vibration Function. Its definitely worth it, but DO NOT PAY MORE than $59.99. $59.99 will be the retail price when the controllers are released in the US. And you can already get them for that price from Play-Asia.com

i must admit that when i first heard the original sixaxis controllers for the ps3 were not going to have rumble, i wasn't all that disappointed. but now that i have rumble back, i realized just how much i missed it. i shipped mine in from japan so i wanted to give it my review for others who are thinking about getting one when it comes to the states.

this controller is slightly heavier than the regular sixaxis, but it feels great in my hands. i feels sturdier and makes the old controllers feel like toys in comparison. and i noticed the buttons and analog sticks have a bit more resistance to them which make me feel more connected to the games.

the rumbling itself isn't super powerful like the xbox controllers, but i never really liked the rumble in those because i throught they shook too much. it destracted my game. the ds3 rumbles just enough to immerse you more, but doesn't make you think, "whoa this is making my hands numb" like the 360 controller.

there is one notable difference with this rumble however that i wasn't sure was a rumor or not. THE RUMBLE REALLY IS DIRECTIONAL. i popped in Uncharted and let some guys shoot me from different angles to see. when a guy shot my right side it felt like the controller jumped to the left as if reacting to bullet. i thought this was super cool.

all in all, this controller improves on the original sixaxis and also the old dualshock 2 with the addition of directional rumble. the ds3 is a must have for anyone who desperately misses the rumble from the ps2 days and i would also recommend it for everyone else who is even remotely interested.

Here is the possible reason:

It's FAKE. COUNTERFEIT!

There is a video on the web to help identify the counterfeit product, do a search for counterfeit ps3 controller video. Amazon blocks out the links..

I just bought one from eBay and it's fake. Looked real, packaged like the real thing, until I saw this video and realized I got scammed.

Can you see the flashing red led lights through the controller? Yeah.. it's fake.

The video identifies a lot of the points showing if it is fake.

I am unsure if this person sells real or fakes, but if you have firmware 3.0 on your PS3 I think you will find out soon enough.

If you want dual shock on your PS3 Wireless Controller, this product is what you need. I purchased this product from a seller at Amazon and the only downside is that it did not come with the cable used to recharge the controller (I use the cable of my old PS3 Controller to recharge it). Despite the controller being Japanese version it works fine on my PS3 and the lettering is in english. I originally purchased the controller because the analog stick on my original PS3 Controller broke so easily, but DualShock controllers in general are more resiliant in the analog stick. Before this seat, I had my G25 wheel and shifter clamped to a table with the pedals on the floor. It was always a challenge having the pedals stay put. There was also the issue of setup and teardown when I wanted to go driving. This seat eliminates those problems as I have ample room for it in my Rec Room.

The best part for me is how nice looking the seat is. I bought this orange Joey Logano seat and it's spectacular looking! It mounts the wheel and pedals very securely. I comes with all screws to put the seat together and mount the wheel and pedals. What isn't included is any provision to mount the G25/27 shifter. I looked at the two options Playseat offers, both very expensive. I decided on using a 1" x 4" piece of lumber clamped under the wheel and sticking out to the right. I had to cut a groove and a notch in the board so it would sit flush under the wheel and it turned out to be very stable a $0.50 solution instead of $30-50!

If you are thinking of buying a Playseat, be aware there are two basic models with lots of style/color choices in each model. The models are the Evolution and the WRC this seat is a WRC. The main difference is how the wheel is mounted and adjusted. From the Playseat website, the Evolution appears to have much better adjustment for where you can position the wheel. With this WRC seat, the wheel can only be adjusted on the post that originates from under the seat. The WRC does have the advantage of the post not interfering so much with your legs and feet. So consider the pluses and minuses before deciding on which to get.

The seat sits very low to the ground. With the WRC model, I have to straddle the seat, then lower myself down into the seat. With the Evo, it appears you would sit in the seat and swing your legs under the wheel... another thing to consider. I'm thinking of putting the seat on a platform so it isn't so low to the ground. Along with the platform, I'll provision a place for the computer and monitor, and all those wires!

Playseat advertises that the seatback folds down, and it does. Why anyone would ever do that is beyond me. The real reason it folds is for packaging the seat for shipment... the whole thing comes in a very small box.

I'm quite happy with this purchase and recommend it to any racing gamer.

This is a review i wrote for a similar version of this playseat cockpit but the construction and quality are all the same.

This racing seat/cockpit/mount is amazing. I need as much space as i can get, so out of all the available cockpits that are on the market now, none can be as compact as this. Not saying that it doesnt extend for us tall people, im 6'3" and ive got room to grow in this seat. I find the seat to be a little snug and not have much back support, but i doubt your gonna be sitting in this for over 5 hours.

Ive tried out tons of cockpits and done a bunch of research. This by far gives you the most bang for your buck. It does everything the other cockpits and more. But just like everything in this world there are downsides and room for improvement.

You cant adjust the angle of the steering wheel's mount. You can adjust the elevation and how close it is to you but not the angle at which it faces you.

The pedal mount will also require constant maintenance unless you buy some loctite in which case you run the risk of stripping your screws. There is a very inconveniently placed screw that requires and allen wrench and doesnt have a lot of room for you to apply down pressure to make sure you dont strip the screw. In my case, i most likely wont be removing that screw and if i need to, the construction is made of metal and heat allows loctite to dissolve/melt away so you can remove screws or what have you easier. The reason for all of this is because if you dont use loctite, or constantly tighten this screw, and the one next to it you will have a lot of play on the pedal mount. Eventually just pressing your foot on the throttle will cause the entire pedal mount to rotate to the right and same goes for the left side.

Other than that the only other complain i have is that the mount for a shifter has a lot of play as well. Im constantly feeling the shifter whether its from fanatec or the g27 racing wheel set to move forward and backwards. In order to solve this problem i needed to use popped bubble wrap to help, not solve this problem. But if your storing this in minimal space like i am, your gonna be removing the shifter constantly and the wrap will tear. Im currently trying to solve this problem now thats its been a year of owning a playseat. All playseats are constructed the same, the only thing that changes is the seat or the color of the metal.

The great thing is this thing has tons of room under the seat for mods and the buttkicker gaming amp you can buy. Even if you have a fanatec racing wheel like me you dont need to worry, the g27 bolts right on, but the fanatec wheel comes with a template for drilling the holes, so as long as you have a drill and a bit you can easily fit almost any racing wheel onto this thing. The metal is very easy to drill through.

Just remember that this seat is not at all a good seat for use with PC games unless you like getting out of the seat every time you need to use a keyboard/mouse and wanna hunch over your setup and or desk. For just a tiny bit more you can find tons of better cockpits that will come with or allow you to later purchase keyboard, mouse, and monitor mounts.

So i went to game stop yesturday just to look around and i saw this game. i remember playing the one on the nes and how much fun i had and im a big baseball fan so i had to pick it up. first they start off with all the training you will need for the game. this is for begginers or experienced gamers. you have auto where the computer does pretty much everything for you and you just run, or you have easy where you do a little bit more but still not everything, then you have technical where you control the whole field. of course hitting and pitching you always do. this game takes a little while to get the hang of. hitting can be hard sometimes but when you so get a hit or hit that homerun it is very rewarding. they also have powerups where you have a bar that builds up for all your good plays and you can use this to your advantage. you can rob homeruns you wouldnt be able to rob or catch balls you wouldnt be able to catch. you also have one star player who you normally want as your pitcher because when he buids his stats up you can get a star performace whitch pretty much guarentted a strikout or hit a homerun. i havnt tried all of the mini games but the ones i have seem fun. you can play up to for players, and battle in the mini games to. if you enjoy baseball and are looking for a fun game this is the game for you. when you go threw the world series you start from you league then reginals then the world series. you get skill points that you can give to your whole team or just one player after every game the disision is up to you. some of the trophies are easy but its not gonna be just an easy plat. your going to have to put some work in to it but all of them seem fun to get. you also collect traiding cards witch help you out during the game. you can play with 5 cards if you choose and each card does something different. one of them might be guarentted a ground ball, or guarentted to hit it down the line, theres even one to add another inning if you are in trouble. you can only use each card once during the game so use them wisly. this is my review for now and if you like little league baseball you will not go wrong with this game. if you have any questions feel free to ask

You will think this is a fun game when you first start playing it. I've played a total of about 3 tournaments or so, and they all had something in common. I would pretty much breeze through the tournaments; only losing 2 or 3 games, only to fall victim to an impossible CPU opponent during semi-finals play. The game would suddenly get extremely hard and frustrating to the point where the CPU would cheat in order to win. For example, I upgraded one of my out fielders to have a 100 rating for his fielding attributes. Well, he dropped an easy, routine flyball and of course the CPU scored and won 1-0. That kind of thing would not happen in the tournament, only in the semi-finals. Instead of making the CPU play better, they would make my team play worst. I was hoping the gameplay would be more like the original Backyard Baseball series, not so much..

I did enjoy building a team and customizing the players. After each game, you would get allotted 'skill points' based on how well you did. You can either use the points towards boosting your entire teams' attributes, or upgrade on an individual player basis. I do think it's a good game for someone looking to play an arcade style baseball game that's not as complicated as MLB The Show, it just plays unfair at times. But, for $12, what the heck do you expect?

In all, it's a fun game if you need something to do for a couple of weeks, just don't expect to win the World Series on normal difficulty :)

I needed a PS3 game that would acclimate my grandson (6) to the game before he started to play it. We realized a year ago that he had no basic grounding in the game itself, and since there is so much to learn, he needed to understand the game itself. People told me PS3 had few games for young children, but this one was exactly what we needed. Variations, levels, humor. I recommend this.

Controller is nice. Don't think its the OFFICIAL jungle green from Sony though. It said "army green" in the package and it's just on a black base. (not the dark green two tone) But I'm pleased with it. The rapid fire has its quirks. The mode button on the bottom is kinda awkward for me. Not sure if its my long fingers, but I seem to hit it on accident a lot. And I might try to round the button a little for comfort. The controller tends to lock up for couple seconds if you hold the rapid fire for a while in certain games. But it works flawlessly as a regular controller with it off. All in all, I got a near identical controller in a green that I've been searching forever for. And for only ~$10 more than a regular controller. (much less than an official jungle green controller new too) Plus it has the rapid fire functionality for multiple modes. Im enjoying it. It's my new favorite controller.

The keyboard works fine. I could never get the headset to work which is the main reason I bought this product. Very disappointed because it wasn't cheap.

This is my review and game play video of Green Day : Rock Band +.

The video quality will be a bit low due to it having to fit in the 100Mb requirements here.

Background:

I was into the punk scene back in the late 70's early 80's. The bands I grew up listening to all had a very tough time making any real money. Even the big ones like Minor Threat, 7 Seconds, Black Flag, all did pretty well but never were able to achieve any sort of real fame. Move ahead to the 90's and bands like Nirvana took some of the punk sound and changed it enough to become what we called Grunge. Those bands did well to get enough popularity to make it big on the college radios and eventually made it mainstream. It was not until Green Day came around did I hear what I enjoyed so much as a kid. By then I was an adult serving in the military over in the Gulf. It was really cool to hear those 3 chord progression riffs and wickedly fast drum beats that got my blood pumping.

Now I am a dad with 2 kids. I missed out on the real punk years and I guess I could be called a sell out poser or something. Instead, I think that I moved on, but my taste in music still has its roots in the old days of the Sx Pistols. Green Day adeptly captures this sound and because so many of us are now in our 40's we hear this sound on the radio.

As I was playing this game my mother was visiting for my daughters birthday. She watched me play it and commented on the fact she liked 4 of the songs. Thats pretty incredible considering when I was a kid, more mild music she said was awful and wouldn't listen at all...

About the game:

This game is very similar to what you saw (if you had it) of Playstation 3 The Beatles: Rock Band . You play different periods of time. You start in the early successful years of Green Day. About the time of Dookie. You can jump in each concert and play a few different songs from a couple of their early albums. Or you can jump ahead to their most recent release 21st Century Breakdown and play a 2009 concert. Each concert has a set list that you play through. As you get at least 3 stars you earn a sticker and can move on. The more songs you finish the more fan songs open up. What is cool is if you just like Green Day as a passing interest and know just 1 or 2 of their songs, you will probably find enough to play as a rental. If you are a deep fan, loving every song they have ever made, you can unlock almost all of them by finishing all sets and challenges.

Trophies:

The better you do the more stickers you can stick on Billy Joe's guitar. Also for hard core Rockband people you can do some really tough challenges to achieve trophies. Some are pretty easy like playing 10 songs at 3 stars or more, or, you can go and play left handed and score 100% on 5 songs in a row. There are like 300 different trophies from what I have seen and I have only unlocked 2 of them. So there is a bunch of replay-ability.

Rockband:

Like other real band titles you cannot change the look of your character. Instead you play as one of the real members of the band. They are stylized and pretty accurate models of the members of the band. If you have ever played a rock band game you will feel right at home here with this title. I do recommend doing the calibration right off the bat. I thought I would be ok and it took only 2 songs of me missing 95% of the buttons for me to see it needed to be calibrated. Manual calibration was pretty easy and there is an auto mode if you have a controller equipped with that.

Overall:

I really like this release from Harmonix. I was in a punk garage band with my friends back in the 1980s. We wanted to be big time. Alas it never worked out, but, with games like this I can at least pretend. That is what gaming is all about. Its a way to leave reality and be something you are not, and probably will never be. Thats cool.

Recommendations.

Hook your PS3 output up to a large amp receiver or system and turn it up to 11.

I picked this up at midnight on release day and played for hours! It is so much fun and is a must for any Green Day fan. It features all the songs from Dookie, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown and a number of other songs from their other releases. You can do a career mode where you start out playing smaller venues and the bands earlier songs As you progress you play more recent songs and play larger and larger venues. The game play is spot on with the other Rock Band releases and the graphics are great. I am a huge Green Day fan and this is a video game dream come true! If you like Green Day and want to play their songs in Rock Band, you need to buy this game! It is a ton of fun!!

The Plus edition of the game includes the normal version of the game, with the addition of an export key (so you can transfer all the songs to your Rock Band library to use in the non-Green Day version of Rock Band) and a key to download 6 more GD songs from the Rock Band store.

I bought this game for the sole purpose of exporting it onto Rockband 3. And for that it's been a great addition! You get a very solid lineup of Green Day songs for a great price! If you're a Green Day fan, don't think twice about buying this.

Arcade Fighting Stick for PS3

I got two of these on a whim when they were briefly on sale for $30 dollars each, and having spent a couple of days with them my experience has so far been mostly positive. This stick is quite similar to the previous mayflash arcade stick, but it is noticeably improved in many respects. Overall the stock joystick and buttons feel good to use and respond nicely (certainly better than the stock parts on the old mayflash stick), though as one might expect they are not 100% arcade quality. This stick also features individual turbo switches for all eight buttons, a switch to have the joystick register as either the d-pad or left analog stick and a PS3 home button (the last item being notably absent in the old mayflash).

The stick base itself is a little more compact than most arcade sticks I've seen, the horizontal dimensions being roughly 12 in. x 8 in. and the top plate to base height being only about 1.5 in. (38mm). The plate to base height in particular might prove problematic to modders as I suspect nothing bigger than a Sanwa JLF or a Seimitsu LS-33 would fit in this thing. However, from what I've seen of the guts of this stick, the buttons look almost identical to standard snap-in arcade buttons and would be fairly easy to replace for those with soldering experience.

I tested this on the PS3 and a PC with third-party drivers and can confirm it works on both platforms with no noticeable input lag (or at least no more than a plugged in Dualshock 3). Tried it out on SFIV, MVC2, Tekken 5 DR and Space Invaders Infinity Gene, all of which the stick handled admirably. On the whole I'd say this is a pretty good budget arcade stick, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a spare for guests or those who would like to learn how to use a stick without spending too much money.

EDIT: These sticks are apparently plug and play on the PC and don't require any additional drivers or software to work. I plugged one in on a fresh install of Windows XP and it was immediately recognized and able to register inputs in games. Even the joystick/d-pad and turbo switches work straight out of the box.

I had a friend who always told me to get Swansa arcade stick and never buy any of the real cheap ones. But I didn't wanna blow that much for my first arcade stick so I took a chance and bought this one from Mayflash. Great decision might I add! It doesn't have an 8-way gate but I'm fine with four, plus I think 4-way gates are pretty good for charge characters :D, very responsive and I've actually got a good bit of my friends wanting to buy the same one and modify it. Also you can mod this arcade stick and is compatible with Swansa parts. Go you Mayflash!

Vancouver 2010 - The Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games

SEGA have done a great job with the graphics and gameplay with Vancouver 2010 on the PS3. Everything looks incredible in HD on the PS3. You can tell a lot of attention to detail has gone into the way it looks and feels/plays. The movement of the skiers down the slalom is very realistic, there's a good learning curve with the Parallel Snowboard Slalom which will keep you busy, and the sense of speed on the bobsleigh events is really well done. Unlike Beijing Olympics 2008, the mindless fast-tapping on controller buttons is kept to a minimum on Vancouver 2010. Online play is a lot of fun as this game seems to be very popular in Europe, so you'll get to play against some good (European) players.

That's the good. Now let's check out the bad...

The biggest disappointment with this game is the number of events that are included. The range of events is really quite poor. There is NO halfpipe snowboarding event for example meaning no opportunity to perform tricks or show off your snowboarding skills. Snowboarding is probably going to be one of the MOST WATCHED events, yet SEGA only decided to include the Snowboard Cross event and no HalfPipe. There's no figure skating event, no ice hockey content, no curling, no biathlon, and no cross-country skiing. Yes, I appreciate something like Ice Hockey is so complex that it would need a whole game/disc by itself, but not even some small presence such as a penalty shootout? While the game lists "14 events", most of these are very similar. The Bobsleigh, Luge and Skeleton are practically the same event (just a different vehicle/sled) and most of the skiing and snowboarding events are the same.

Vancouver 2010 is fun to play, especially online, but it quickly becomes monotonous playing the same events over and over. Pricing this game at $49.99 is ridiculous. They would sell more copies AND it would be more value for money if they sold it for half that price, $25. But when will we learn? We all know that any licensed Olympic game is fun short term, but quickly loses it's appeal. If you are curious about this game, I would say give it a miss. If you are a die-hard Olympics fan and want to immerse yourself in the Winter Olympics, then I would say ONLY get this game if you can rent it or buy a used copy. It's simply not worth it for $. All-in-all, it's a very disappointing game and totally overpriced. Save yourself $ and just watch the real Winter Olympics on TV.

Surely with the current generation of video game consoles, game developers could include more of the Olympic events instead of just the ones revolved around downhill motion (skiing, snowboarding, bobsled, etc...) Where's the Curling, Hockey, Speed Skating, etc? I would have gladly traded off a bit of the extremely detailed graphics if it meant more events and ultimately a more complete game. If I remember correctly, even the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics game for the Nintendo 64 had Curling and that was 12 years ago and two console generations ago.

Believe it or not, I read the reviews on Amazon before I bought this game and yet I still bought it. With the SSX franchise apparently dead, I just wanted to play a winter sports game and thought this would suffice. Boy, was I wrong. The reviews here are spot-on. There is no redeeming value to this game whatsoever. You get absolutely no feeling that you are part of the Olympics other than a little flag that is next to your name. The events are not very good either. The skiing events and the snowboarding events use the same controls and they're terrible. The speed-skating is so hard to do that I played it once and never did it again. The whole game is awful. I have nothing positive to say about it. It feels like SEGA just rushed out a game in time for the Olympics to make a quick buck without putting much time or effort into it. My recommendation would be that you DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

They didn't have many events, the events they did have did not have did not have the right format. Snowboard cross for example was just a timed run, not a tournament style like the real Olympics. You have no idea how you're doing, there is no suspense as you see if your time is good enough.

In short I had a version of this game for the 1994 games and this one isn't improved by any extent 16 years later. Sega should be ashamed.

This product is a must for any Battlefield fan out there, it looks awesome, it keeps your PS3 well ventilated, it's very sturdy and holds one PS3 controller which I found to be very handy as I no longer misplace them.

On the front it features a light-up claymore which is powered by batteries(supplied & pre-inserted), it has three light modes: solid, fade & flash.

It's also extremely easy to set-up, just need a Philips screwdriver to get best results.

Not much more I can say rather than it's a simple yet awesome looking case for the PS3, would recommend!

This PS3 case looks pretty cool I'll admit. For all those FPS fans (COD/Battlefield/etc), this is a great little touch to add to your PS3 slim model. This ONLY fits the PS3 slim model so those with the older fatter PS3's, too bad. It also won't fit the newer slimmer model PS3. The claymore on the side lights up which is really cool looking but doesn't really add any other functional features obviously. There is also an attachment that will allow you to hang your controller on the case as well.

My biggest gripe with this case is that it scratched parts of my PS3. The interior of the case is just plastic with no sort of lining or anything like that. Primarily the corners of my PS3 were scratched as well as part of the disc loading area were scratched. While this might not be a huge issue for most people, I would think that addition of some lining in the case would prevent this issue. You could probably buy some cheap material from a craft store to line the interior of the case but that's an added hassle IMO. Since I use an external fan and have a charging dock for my controllers, I can't really use this case at all which kinda sucks. Seeing as this is only for aesthetics, it's up to you whether it's worth the money or not. For me, I think the external fan is more useful than this so I have to pass on this item.

That said, it is cool looking and does add that extra special touch to your PS3.

I bought this controller for my Colts Loving Boyfriend who has a anger problem when it comes to Madden and "Spikes" his controllers. Of course I didnt take this into consideration until I already bought it, but hopefully knowing that if he spikes this controller, I'll spike his rear will help him towards his recovery. As far as the PS Home button, the START button, and the SELECT button (I think thats what their called I'm Nintendo all the way) are on the handles, PS on the left above "COLTS" and the other 2 above the helmet. It DOESN'T look cheat at all, like how with some you can literally peel off the "stickers". This one is really authentic and worth the money.
