This review is for the Rage "Anarchy Edition" Version for the PS3.

I've been a Big Fan of ID Software since the early days of Wolfenstein and Doom Franchises, My favorite being Doom3. Their games have always been fun, engaging, exciting, and at the same time a little terrifying which gives you even more of a thrill. This is ID's First New Title Since either Doom or Quake franchises along with sporting ID's new Game Engine ID Tech 5 and released under ID's new Publisher and Owner Bethesda.

Background: The Best way I can describe the game visually is if this game was made into a movie it would look and feel like Mad Max: The Road Warrior with the characters and FPS Feel of the Doom 3 Video Game. The games mechanics and interaction feels like and updated version of a Computer Game that I used to play as a teenager back in the Mid 1980's for the Commodore 64 called AutoDuel (This was also released on the Apple II, Atari 400/800 as well). In the game you play as a post apocalypse character that goes from town to town in a Modified Post Apocalypse vehicle (Similar to Rage) to undertake missions, Races, Gambling and so forth. With the money you earn you can upgrade your vehicle or weapons and sell items back that you may not need. Of course the game did not have the FPS aspect to it but their are a lot of similarities to the other aspects that I mentioned between AutoDuel and RAGE.

Plot: In the year 2029 the asteroid 99942 Apophis impacts the earth and wipes out most of humanity (This is an actual asteroid that at one time in 2004 had been predicted to hit the Earth in 2029 but after scientist had gathered more data it is now has been predicted to miss the earth instead, do a Wikipedia Search for "99942 Apophis" for more information). However before the Asteroid impacted the earth The World Leaders decided to create several underground safe havens called "Arks" so after the impact the people that had been in Frozen Stasis would be able to re-build the earth. 106 years later your character awakes from his stasis tube to find that everybody in his Ark has died (Except himself) and the characters particular Ark was heavily damaged which caused the Computers monitoring the Ark stasis tubes to subsequently malfunction with the exception of your charters (Their is no explanation why other than the obvious it was most likely damaged by the asteroid's impact), On top of that due most likely to the malfunctioning stasis units your character has no memory of who he is and what his objectives are. So Now wondering out of the damaged Ark the Survivor attempts to get his bearing until attacked by the new Residents of the Area, The Survivor is summarily saved by a passersby heading back to his settlement by the name of Dan Hagar (Voiced by John Goodman). On the way back to his settlement Dan explains how after the impact had world has basically turned into a post apocalyptic world in which humanity has been dived up into different territories and the most technically advanced of them being the "Authority".

Game-play: As mentioned earlier the game play is for the most part a First Person Shooter (FPS) with Third Person aspect on the Driving Mechanics of the Game. You will start off on small nearby missions in which you will earn weapons, money and most importantly reputation with the more missions you complete. Once you have obtained your own vehicle you will begin exploring the other settlements outside Dan's territory. Along the way you will get to gamble, Enter into Races, Be a contestant on a Thunderdome like reality TV Series called Mutant Bash TV and take on side jobs. You will be able to upgrade your vehicle's parts with "Racing Certificates" won in either Races or on the Bounty of the Bandits you take out for the towns local Bar owners (Why you can not use cash to upgrade your vehicle parts is beyond me).Ultimately your adventures will lead to the confrontation with the games antagonist called the Authority.

Plus Side of the Game: There are tons of cool things about the game I do not know where to begin with.

The ID Tech 5 game engine is awesome, a vast improvement over the ID Tech 4 engine with the characters being very life like. The Graphics overall are just breath taking. The AI's are a lot more interactive and when facing them in combat are a lot smarter than I had played in previous games.

Great Choice of Weapons that can be either found, brought, or even modified.

I love the racing aspect in the game. If you like running into things and causing damage with your car this is the game to do it with.

Minus Side of the Game: There is just one big problem I have with the game and surprisingly enough it not with the game play itself, that is the lack of continuous auto saving.

The Auto Archiving feature on this game will only kick in once a chapter (If your lucky). While it does have a Manuel save option it can be very time consuming to stop playing, go into the menu, and wait about 30 to 60 seconds for the game to "save". So if you forget to Manually save at a certain point in your progress if you die without saving manually you can conceivably start back at almost the beginning of the chapter (This is why I primarily gave the game a 4 instead of a 5).

On the minor side the game tends to have long loads times between going to the next chapter.

The Slight on the game itself is that even through it is theoretically "Open Ended" , The game still controls certain aspects on what you can backtrack and explore on your own.

Special Note: Before accepting the final mission in the RAGE Campaign which is the attack on Capital Prime to upload the awake codes of the other Arks, insure you have completed any side missions, Jobs, Races, or trophies. Once you accept the mission when you have completed the level you will see the story end and the Game Credits after which you will not be allowed to return into the game to complete of the previously mentioned objectives (Unlike "Infamous" which will let you to continue on after the actual "campaign" of the game has ended to complete the side objectives).

The Difference Between the "Anarchy" and "Standard" Editions of Rage:

In addition to the different Weapons, Vehicles, and Armor types that are already present in the "Standard" Edition of Rage you get the following extra Items almost from the Get go...

The Double Barrel Shot Gun (My Favorite, A nice carry over from the Doom Franchise).

The Rat Rod Buggy Similar in the insides of the Buggy from Standard Edition, a nice bonus is if you upgrade either the buggy or the Rat Rod with a better part, the other other vehicle is automatically upgraded (Example: Buy spiked performance tires for the Dune Buggy the Rat Rod is automatically upgraded with the same part as well for no extra charge).

The Crimson Elite Armor A "All-In-One" Armor that combines the special abilities of the other 3 armor types that can be chosen in the Rage "Standard" Edition.

Fists of Rage -You get "Spiked" Gloves that go over your Hands if you want to inflict more damage with your fists.

The Wasteland Sewer Missions This is a additional 9 side missions broken into 2 parts each that is not accessible in the "standard" version of Rage that takes place around just outside of the different territories and settlements (I.E. Wellspring Entrance, Hagar Territory, subway town, etc...) that has you finding and looting the sewers for valuable junk that the mutants collected in the 1st part, then getting paid for going back and exterminating the Mutant Menace from the Sewers in the 2nd part. In the Anarchy Edition Case should be a one time Redemption Code in order to unlock this level as long as you brought this game new. I would advise not picking up a used copy of the Anarchy Edition of Rage since the code will either be missing or no longer valid.

If you were to download the Anarchy Edition content via the PSN (for both the Wasteland Sewer Missions and the extra Items of the Anarchy Edition) it would cost $12.00 altogether if you wanted to upgrade your existing standard edition copy of Rage to the Anarchy Edition level. Please take into this into consideration when contemplating which Edition to buy. If buying new you will end up saving overall on just paying to the $5.00 to $6.00 extra on the Anarchy Edition.

Overall: Other than an ambiguous ending that screams SEQUEL and despite the annoyance of the games save feature, A great new entry into the ID Software franchise, pure fun to play, I would highly recommend this game for anyone who loves a good FPS and Racing Death matches. I'm looking forward to when ID releases the follow up game.

Loved the look and gameplay of Rage. I thought it was what Fallout 3 should have been. It had a short story though that left me wanting more. Seems like I just got really into it and then it was over.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is the update and continuation of last years masterpiece, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, this little gem was crafted by the brilliant minds at Arc System Works. Fans of the original or fans of the Guilty Gear series will no doubt want to purchase this, if for nothing else at least for the story mode, you have never experienced a deeper or more complex story in a fighting game...the thing is, it's actually interesting...unlike Street Fighter(which I love, don't get me wrong).

You will get a lot for your $40, newly added Tutorial Mode, Challenge Mode and Legion Mode from the portable version are present. The tutorial is a great place to learn the basics if you are new to BlazBlue and it is the best way to learn the advanced techniques as well. The new challenge mode is pretty much like challenge mode in SFIV and SSFIV. There are 10 challenges per character, each challenge is comprised of several different tasks though, once you get to the advanced combos for a character of your liking it could take you a very long time to clear the challenges. These games are easy enough to play at a casual level but it will take a lot of patience and skill to hang with some of the people you will meet online.

There are 3 new characters right off the bat, Tsubaki is a Valkyrie of sorts, fights with sword and shield and has a drive attack that charges her moves for added strength, she is a very simple character to use and I would recommend her to newcomers. Hazama, better known to veterans as Terumi, is another story. Hazama is tricky but unbelievably good, his drive attack sends chains out at his opponent both for attacks and to rapidly close the distance between players. He is fast, dangerous and unpredictable...and also serves as the final boss of arcade and Story mode for most characters. Lambda replaces Nu as the Murakumo unit in this game, hardly any difference. The true form of Noel Vermillion is also a playable character but I have yet to unlock her. As of now there are at least 3 more characters planned as DLC. Makoto, a...foxie lady (excuse the pun if you get it) that uses tonfa, I have only seen clips of her and have no idea how she plays. Valkenhayn, Rachel's butler and one of the Six Heroes, will join and I can almost guarantee that he will play like Slayer from Guilty Gear. Platina (Sena and Luna) is another future character, due to her split personality I expect her to be like A.B.A. from Guilty Gear.

All characters have a robust, branching Story Mode that will take you many hours to complete. The story picks up right after Calamity Trigger's True End, there is a brief summary for those that didn't play the original. Japanese and English audio are present and accounted for, thank goodness. Online returns of course, you can once again save and upload replays of your best matches if you so choose. There are a few new stages, a few new songs and sadly, a new announcer...not nearly as funny when she says Rebel 1, Action! The character portraits have all been redrawn and they look AWESOME, more like Guilty Gear art and less like anime. The sprites seem improved too, at least Ragna and Hakumen seem to have a few more frames of animation and slight color differences, all welcome changes. The gameplay is top notch, if you like high flying, air dashing combo-laden madness then BlazBlue is 100% for you.

Besides the old SNK King of Fighters games, it is my personal opinion that, only Arksys has been able to create such complex 2D fighting games; this developer took all the experience from the Guilty Gear series and developed BlazBlue, which is a game that requires a lot of skill to pull out all the combos that are available, thus is focused for the hardcore gamers. This brings the first big problem in Continuum Shift, there's too much content that was brought from the previous title, and it feels this game is just an expansion rather than a new game.

This version has a detailed Training and Challenge section that teaches newcomers how to pay the game like pros and the Challenge is an excellent benchmark for gamers, if you cannot complete at least 30% of them, then you know that when you play online your chances of winning are not that good. It is highly recommended that this ought to be the starting point for beginners.

The story mode is the best I've seen in any fighting game series, there's an average of 3 endings per character and it's very well written, although sometimes it feels it drags more than what it should. The narrative is really good but not the presentation, for instance there is a turning point that determine which ending you will see and then there's an option to save; but if you want to view the other branch of the story, then you need to back track and read it all over again; now, doing this for 14 characters feels like the game is punishing the player. One personal suggestion for Arksys would be to have the save point before the turning point.

Online mode is good but has a minor flaw, if the opponent withdraws the match, you won't get the points; instead the game will show a status of incomplete. It happened a few times that when I had beaten very high ranking players they would abandon the match to avoid losing points. This is not fair by any means, and as with any competitive sport or game, this situation is not acceptable.

The gameplay is in one word awesome, and mastering any character to the point that you can pull a nice combo is truly rewarding, but this requires a lot of practice and time, therefore this game is not for casual gamers that just want to play for a couple of hours.

Blazblue is a wonderful, fast paced fighter. Like most fighters, players choose one of several characters from a large roster, each with their own style of play and special moves. However, Blazblue sets itself apart with it's crazy, unique cast of characters. Each has a very distinct feel to how they fight, making every character feel like an entirely new game to play.

In terms of personality and appearance, each fighter stands apart just as well. Hakumen, the mysterious knight. Hazama, the manipulative man with Michael Jackson's sense of style and grace and an internet troll's enjoyment of toying with others. Rachel, a young girl with a cultured disposition who is actually hundreds of years old. Entire paragraphs can be written about each character.

The story is surprisingly good for a fighting game. It mixes lighthearted humor with drama and enjoyable character interactions. Where most games shove their stories aside and carry just enough of it to justify why you have a ninja and a robot fighting each other, Blazblue manages to be intriguing enough to hold your attention and keep you going.

Not that it needs to. The game itself is refined and balanced. As stated earlier, each character is a new experience, though the simple basics of the game remain the same. Learning the ropes is easy, as the game includes a tutorial with it's own humorous dialogue narrated by a mocking Rachel. Part of the fun of any fighting game is mastering the characters themselves, so the simplified basics and thorough tutorial lets you get straight to the fun part.

Actually learning the characters is the challenge. After finding which characters you prefer to play, you have a large variety of both 1-player and 2-player modes to choose from as you learn them inside and out or jump right into playing with your friends and rivals. Any fighting game is much more complex then it first appears. The goal is to control space and predict the best way to counter your opponent's move/counter. The AI is well rounded, being hard enough to make battles fuel your adrenaline, but not painfully unfair to newcomers like most fighting games. You'll enjoy playing with friends, on your own, or online against other players across the globe.

In terms of the presentation, graphics and sound, Blazblue continues to amaze. The sprites are crisp, clean, and all around cool to look at. The animated cutscenes during the story mode are just as high quality, though the a certain character's expressions near the end can get weird at times. The music grabbed my attention right from start. Where most games have nothing but rock songs that all blend together after you listen to them long enough, Blazblue has something for everybody. It has rock still, but it also has plenty of classical sounding pieces and mixes in other music genres to make every character's theme as unique as the character.

Overall, this is one of the best games of the year. There is humor throughout, contrasting with character driven action and drama. Each story mode has multiple endings, and there is a humorous segment at the end of any ending not the best obtainable that provides advice to get there, courtesy of an irritable non-player character. The game play is fun and intense, and you can choose a new character whenever you find yourself getting bored with one character's fighting style. Music and graphics are sweet, sweet candy for the eyes and ears. If you like fighting games, have interest in the genre, or found fighting games too hard to get into, this is the game for you.

In 2008, BlazBlue came out in the midst of a year in which a ton of other fighters were also hitting store shelves. Contending with the likes of Street Fighter IV, Tekken 6, SoulCalibur IV and Super Smash Brothers Brawl, BlazBlue was not exactly a stand out in a year filled with a lot of high caliber sequels. Nevertheless it became a small hit. The original game, Calamity Trigger was fantastic. It had slight balancing issues, but it was a solid game. The only major problem was the unusual lack of fighters. Continuum Shift is somewhat like the Super Street Figther IV of BlazBlue. Except there's a lot more. This is a little bit more than an expansion, however. There are new stories and chapters to explore and new game modes. You won't find any characters acting strangely different, but if you played Calamity Trigger you'll find that there is much more here than just an expansion. In fact, BlazBlue Continuum Shift is almost a sequel in its own right.

Fighting game and story are not exactly terms that go hand in hand. In fact, most fighting games are not well known for their stories. They certainly aren't well known for being big on narrative, dialog and the like. BlazBlue is a different beast entirely. The game actually has a story. And the story is actually quite a major element in BlazBlue. To begin talking about it here would take some time. Continuum Shift's story takes off from where Calamity Trigger left off. And yes, if you haven't played Calamity Trigger you are going to be lost and confused in the story of Continuum Shift. It doesn't recap a whole lot of the events which have already taken place in the previous game. The story is mostly told through still-life portraits and skits very similar to the first game. Two portraits of the characters face one another and speak. Mostly with voiced dialog that is sometimes fine to listen to... and other times it's hilariously bad.

What makes BlazBlue's story interesting is that it has an enormous cast of characters. And the experience all the story has to offer you'll have to play as them all at some point. You'll begin by playing a short scenario as Ragna. The main character. Once he's done with you'll unlock other characters whom you can play through their story. And each character has different arcs that add to the overall story at hand. Playing as one character will eventually unlock the story mode of another. The story can also branch off depending on the choices you make. Each character's story has a good, bad and humorous ending. The "good" ending is obviously what you're aiming for. And if you get the bad you'll be taken to a short, humorous skit that will give you hints on the right choices to make otherwise. You'll want to get the "good" endings for characters, however, because the story is actually interesting. The characters also help it shine. Each character has their own story, personality and background and you'll no doubt find a favorite. Likewise, a lot of the staged battles through story mode are not simply just there to make sure you'll battle, but because there's an actual purpose to the battle. There is only one real issue with BlazBlue's story. The first and most obvious is that it is extremely dense. This is especially true if you haven't played Calamity Trigger. The story is going to feel convoluted at times and there can be a lot to swallow. It's an interesting story, but there is a lot to sit back and take in. This causes some of the exposition and skits between fights to be exceedingly long at times... where it's them mostly just trying to explain something to you.

Because of BlazBlue's intent on developing every character it has in the cast you can't really expect the game to have a huge cast of characters. This isn't the type of fighter where you can easily read up on a character's bio or anything. Because of all the detail put into each character's personality, story, background and relationship to the other characters, BlazBlue isn't really teeming with a giant roster here. Continuum Shift brings back the original twelve from the first game. It adds in three new characters right off the bat, and three more you can download (which is actually quite annoying seeing as how you'll have to pay for the downloadable characters). It's not a huge fighting roster by any means, however what it lacks in the fighting roster it'll more than make up for in the gameplay department.

BlazBlue is a grand fighter mainly because it expects you to come to the game ready to do battle. It is a game that is not exactly inviting to those unfamiliar with the genre. While Continuum Shift throws in a nice Beginner Mode for players unfamiliar with the game and genre (making sure that whole combos are assigned to one button), it is still much more aimed at fighting game enthusiast. This is especially true because BlazBlue is one of the few games on the market where every character is truly unique to control. Since every character has various special moves and weapons that they can use, it takes a lot of investment to actually learn particular characters. The combos and how you string them together really add to this as well. BlazBlue is not a game you'll learn in just a simple sitting. The more advanced moves and combos aren't exactly obvious at first (and the game's mission mode is more likely to help you discover them than the training mode is). It's actually fun to experiment with the characters because of this. Many other fighters have huge rosters but resort to having clones at some point (SoulCalibur IV and Super Smash Bros. Brawl definitely suffer from this issue) instead of characters that actually act unique. The result of this is that each match can be intense and furious because not only is knowing your moveset important... but so is knowing your opponents. And you'll be amazed at how smoothly battles will flow.

Aside from the game's story mode, there is also an arcade mode, which is usually just a more condensed story mode for the character you choose. It has you going in a gauntlet against ten fighters. The last of whom will usually be in "Unlimited" mode which gives them an enhancement to their abilities. It can sometimes be more amusing than story mode because you don't have some of the long intermissions.

There is also the mission mode which will help you learn the game. And each character has a ton to go through. They'll start off teaching you basic moves and combos, but pretty soon you'll know how to string it all together. There is also a practice mode (self explanatory) as a score attack mode. Regardless of how you see it, there is actually quite a bit to do in BlazBlue Continuum Shift. The single player experience is broad. And the more of it you do the more artwork and bonuses you'll unlock. And you'll be surprised at just how much there truly is to unlock in this game.

The newest addition to Continuum Shift is the Legacy mode. You'll move along a path where you'll be able to recruit fighters to join you as you conquer a grid. It requires a bit of strategy as taking a lot of damage in one fight may impair you for the next. Legacy Mode is just like the original game, but it's certainly more challenging. And BlazBlue is not very easy on its own. The game is more than willing to punish anyone who hasn't taken the time to learn it. This is one game where button mashing will get you nowhere.

The game isn't without flaws. The voiced skits can be annoying. Not because the voice acting is bad, but because there are some moments that are questionable. When you see some snippets of dialog there is usually an action in asterisks afterwords (something like *thud*) and for some odd reason the voice actors made sure they had to actually say these sound effects. And believe me, there's nothing more strange than watching a voice actor say, "THUD" after just groaning in agony. The difficulty can also be all over the place. One moment you're in a relatively simple battle, and the next you're in an extremely unfair one. What can also be annoying is the story mode. In order to unlock everything you'll be required to get every character's good and bad ending. And this entails playing through each character's story mode at least three times. And the humorous endings in particular are REALLY long skits that are so absurd the humor runs dry sooner rather than later. There's little wrong with the actual gameplay though. While the small roster of fighters may grate on some gamers, it's important to understand that the game's cast of characters are actually developed through story and narrative. In the case of BlazBlue's cast, less is actually more. The character's are endearing. If you pick up and play BlazBlue, you're GOING to find a favorite.

In terms of its visuals, BlazBlue is a pretty looking game. In a world where 3D has begun to dominate the fighter, looking at the detail presented in BlazBlue is amazing. The artwork doesn't look any different than Calamity Trigger at all. Even more the stages you'll do battle on are exactly the same. But the art style is impressive and gorgeous. The amount of detail they managed to fit into each area is amazing. The character art styles are the most impressive. BlazBlue is, for the most part, pretty in-your-face about its presentation. If you didn't like what you saw in Calamity Trigger there's nothing here that will appeal to you. The music is actually strangely addictive and fun. There are some metal tunes here, but a lot of them sound appropriate and chaotic for each battle. Every character as their own theme and stage. As well as music that plays for certain battles. For example, there is a particular theme that will play whenever Ragna and Jin fight one-another... or if Ragna and Rachel do battle. It's mostly amazing stuff. You can also change the music before each versus round with a friend.

BlazBlue is a great fighter, but it's an unapologetic one. This isn't a fighter that's going to babysit the player. It expects you to have an idea of what you're doing. You'll be able to learn it just fine. It manages to be inviting but it's not long before it takes away the training wheels. This is one of the things that makes BlazBlue work. Especially if you decide to take the fight online. You're going to run into several players who will be unapologetic.

If you're a fan of the fighting genre, you're likely to love BlazBlue. Certainly it doesn't have a huge roster of fighters, but it does have a great cast of characters that are well developed and a story that will more than make up for that. Likewise, the game is just all around fun to play. Becoming something that is enjoyable for any veteran of the fighting genre. If you like fighters... you need to play this game.

Want BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Discount?

Writing reviews (or at least something like reviews) is not really something that I'm in the habit of doing. One reason for this is that there are already plenty of professional reviewers that can do a much better job of it than I can. Nevertheless in the case of Blazblue I think I just might have something to contribute. Although I don't think I'm really all that good at writing reviews and such so I hope you'll keep that in mind and please try to bear with me.

First off I would like to address one of the issues surrounding Continuum Shift. I understand that there are those who have taken issue with Aksys Games for allegedly misusing the concept of DLC.

Now let me draw primarily upon my own personal opinion for a moment:

There currently seems to be an industry wide trend of companies using the concept of DLC in perhaps questionable ways. Some people even hate the very idea of DLC. But personally I don't think that it's that big a deal at all. And I also think that the issue of whether or not a piece of content should be included with the original release of the game is largely a moot point. The reason for this is that it always comes down to consumer choice. If one finds any given piece of DLC to not be worth it, then simply don't buy it. On the other hand if it is worth it then so be it. And besides it's always an option to simply try and wait for DLC to go on sale, however long a time that may be. I honestly don't know how these companies decide on their prices. But whatever the case I personally try not to sweat the small stuff. I try not to get all worked up over relatively small amounts of money. But of course that's just me.

Okay I'm done with that for now.

There seems to be a bit of a debate going on about whether or not Continuum Shift qualifies for the "sequel" label. I believe that it does. I think Continuum Shift has enough new content for that, most importantly the story aspect. I think it has way too much new story to not be called a sequel.

Some have claimed that Continuum Shift doesn't have a lot of new content but the fact of the matter is that Continuum Shift has a sizable amount of content that it's predecessor doesn't have, most notably it's new story, and there is A LOT of story and lore to go through. That's new content. Some people may not care for it but that doesn't change the fact that it's still there and the previous game doesn't have it. And whether or not all the content is worth the price you pay, or whether everything is overpriced or not, is entirely up to you. It's all subjective and depends on how much you care for and value what you're buying.

But in any case Continuum Shift does actually have a respectable amount of content that it's predecessor doesn't have including:

-New Game modes like the Tutorial mode, Challenge mode, Legion mode, and Beginner mode

-4 new playable characters, although one of them needs to be unlocked. There are also at least 3 more on the way via DLC

-15 new stages

-New Fighting Mechanics such as a new break burst system and new fatal counter system, among other stuff

-New moves for all characters

There are also a number of general changes. One of the most significant is the fact that the story is 1.5 or 2 times bigger than in the previous game: Calamity Trigger. All of the characters have been rebalanced but if you're not happy with the changes there is not necessarily any need to worry. Because this time around the game is patchable for character balance so, at least in theory, there could be future rebalancing if demand for it is great enough.

There is more that makes Continuum Shift different from Calamity Trigger but I really don't think it's necessary for me to give the full rundown because there are apparently other places on the internet that have already done that. And besides I think I've already gotten my point across. Although some people may not see it as a sequel in no small part because it doesn't fit their own personal definition of what a sequel is or what a sequel should be. But I would encourage anyone reading to take a look at the facts, specifically all of the stuff this game has that it's predecessor doesn't, and decide for themselves.

Continuum Shift is a great fighting game but if you want info that focuses more on the gameplay aspect of it I think that the professional reviewers can do a better job with that than myself so instead I'll just focus on what I consider to be the best part of Blazblue.

In my opinion the best part of Blazblue, what most effectively set's it apart from other fighting games, and what most effectively sets Continuum Shift apart from its predecessor is the story.

Now the story of Blazblue seems to be somewhat of a point of polarization. Some people love it while others hate it. This applies to both gamers and professional reviewers alike. Professional reviewers are by no means united against Blazblue's story and some have given it positive marks. But some people have made highly subjective claims such as Blazblue's story being weak, or poorly written, or throwaway with no real effort being put into it. I for one disagree strongly and completely.

There is a HUGE amount of story and lore in the Blazblue Universe, maybe even enough to rival at least some RPGs. What's equally impressive is the fact that it's all kept coherent with both Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift. It's obvious that a lot of careful thought went into everything and there is still the fact that Blazblue puts so much more emphasis on it's story than other fighting games. Blazblue may very well include a number of anime conventions and/or tropes but that by no means indicates or means that effort wasn't put into it. One can plausibly describe other fighting game stories as weak, poorly written, poorly conceived, and/or and having throwaway stories that don't have any real effort put into them but not Blazblue.

Let me say that I am actually not a fan of fighting games. I have dabbled in franchises like Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Soul Calibur but I've never really been a fan. And part of the reason for that is that I generally like my video games stories. So when I heard about Blazblue, a fighting game that supposedly did story well, I was naturally curious. But when I got into Blazblue I was amazed at how well done the story was. It's not just that I liked the writing, or that the characters were interesting and/or likeable (in numerous cases I found them to be both), or the sheer scope and detail of the lore, or the interesting addition of the branching story paths. What really impressed me most of all was the coherence of it all. Usually in fighting games there are numerous character play-throughs' with there own simplistic storyline scenarios but they're generally independent of each other with maybe only one or two actually being canon, or part of the formal and official story, and the rest of them being simply "what if" stories. A good example of a franchise that works like this is Mortal Kombat.

But in Blazblue it's all canon. Each of the character stories are canon and they're all part of the same large and complex story. This is done largely through the use of what I would call a clever plot device, or at least a clever use of said plot device. And it's not even limited to the story mode either. The arcade stories, while much more simplistic, are also part of the overall whole.

Of course all of this also means that there is really nothing mindless about Blazblue's story. It actually requires, or at least strongly encourages, you to think. Some people claim that it's hard to understand. But I also strongly disagree, I would say that Blazblue's story is not hard to understand, at most it just requires at least a little patience. Although it may appear to be hard to understand because of the unusual way in which it's told. Overall the story mode of Blazblue is kind of like a puzzle. Each character play-through is simply one piece of a large and complex puzzle. It might seem at least a little hard to understand at first but with each play-through you receive another piece of the puzzle and you're gradually and steadily able to gain a greater and greater understanding of everything. So it's not that the story is hard to understand, it's just that the understanding tends to come gradually as opposed to quickly like other games.

To help this process along there are also the "Teach Me, Miss Litchi" segments. These are expository sketch comedy pieces. Unlike the arcade and story modes these are technically not part of the Blazblue canon but nevertheless they are definitely not to be taken for granted. They generally involve numerous characters (most prominently Litchi) of Blazblue teaching Taokaka about the world they live in (or at least trying to). And as Taokaka learns (or at least tries to) so does the player. As the introduction of the first episode of "Teach Me, Miss Litchi" points out the purpose of the segments is not to further the story, but to facilitate your understanding of Blazblue. Overall these segments are an excellent way for you to familiarize yourself with the Blazblue lore and gain a greater understanding of the Blazblue universe, and you might even have a few good laughs along the way.

And to top it all off when you've played through all of the character stories the true ending is unlocked. Essentially the other play-throughs and endings develop everything, and the true play-through and true ending moves it all forward. And it's all kept coherent on top of that. This is done in both Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift and it's a great accomplishment.

As for the actual story, I'm not going to spoil anything but it does have a lot of stuff that one might expect from a good story like action, drama, suspense, melodrama, a lot of quirky comedy, intrigue, tender and/or sentimental parts, and even a little romance (Litchi is on a quest to help someone she loves and Bang has unreciprocated feelings for Litchi). The story is full of meaningful and interesting dialogue, good characterization, and rich character interaction. And it also has a great deal of information and lore backing it all up. And let me emphasize again that it's kept coherent.

Overall Blazblue's story is great and this is also one of the main reasons why Continuum Shift is so important. A while ago I heard that a traditional story structure for Japanese manga is a four part formula. In the first part the story begins, in the second part the story expands, in the third part the story reaches a climax, and in the fourth part the story gets wrapped up. This is the formula that was used for the original four .hack (pronounced dot hack) video games for the PS2. I can't help but wonder if this is the formula that the creators have in mind for Blazblue. What I do know is that Calamity Trigger started everything and in Continuum Shift everything expands in a big way. The dialogue is even more interesting and meaningful, the character interactions are richer, and the characterization is just as good if not better. On top of that there's more story in general and Continuum Shift is generally much more informative than it's predecessor and that's not even taking into account the new episodes of "Teach Me, Miss Litchi", now called "Teach Me, Miss Litchi: Reloaded".

In my opinion, Blazblue is awesome. I love Continuum Shift just as I love Calamity Trigger. Even so I know that it's safe to say that, like many other games, Blazblue is not for everyone. Nevertheless I wholeheartedly recommend Continuum Shift to absolutely anyone who cares about the stories in their video games. Not just anime fans and not just Blazblue fans. Although it's also safe to say that both of the games are a must-have for anime fans. However for those who like their video game stories and are interested in Continuum Shift, I strongly recommend that you pick up and play through Calamity Trigger first if you haven't already. Yes, Continuum Shift's story mode does include a summary of the events of the first game and Continuum Shift also thoughtfully includes the first set of "Teach Me, Miss Litchi" episodes in addition to the new episodes. But nevertheless if you skipped over Calamity Trigger you would still be missing out on a lot of stuff in terms of dialogue, characterization, and character interaction and the like. I know from experience that hearing or reading about something can be a very different experience than actually experiencing it firsthand.

So I guess that's it. But before I finish up there are one or two more things I would like to say. Naturally anyone is free to comment on this review if they want but if you actually want to debate with me then I'm very sorry but I really can't accommodate you. You see my only goal here was to say my piece and now that I've done that I'm going to get on with my life. For those who have taken the time to read this I would like to say thank you very much for your time and I hope that you've found my words helpful.

This is a really good deal. The new PS3 is great, it is so small. I purchased this bundle to replace my 60gb PS3 that recently failed on me. This new console is quiet, small and works just like any other playstation. There are no new features so I don't see a need to upgrade your old PS3 but if you are in the market for a new PS3 it is great.

Assassin's Creed 3 is amazing, I have played it for a few hours now and all I can say is wow. This game really is deserving of the 3 moniker. Brotherhood and Revelations felt like expansion packs for AC2, but this game is the true evolution of the series.

I chose this bundle since I needed a new Playstation and I was planning on getting AC3 and I saved $10 off the price of AC3 this way and I managed to get a larger Hard Drive as well. The 500gb should be great, my 60gb was full and I had to constantly delete and re-download some of my games to manage space.

As a long time Xbox 360 owner I decided to sell my old system and move onto the PS3. My logic was that I was going to buy the Assasin's Creed game anyways and selling my Xbox and all the old games I don't play practically paid for this bundle.

The system: A far more attractive black box than my roommate's original PS3, it looks aestheically pleasing and sharp sitting on my TV cabinet. The PS3 is very quiet (especially compared to the leafblower fan in my original 360). It comes with a wireless Duelshock 3 controller and a controller charging cable. The cable is very short and likely impractical for gaming while charging. The good news is once charged these controllers have FANTASTIC battery life. I thought I would have a hard time adjusting to the PS3's smaller controller from the Xbox 360, not the case. The controller is very comfortable and in my opionion looks better than the Xbox ones. Sticking with the theme of short cables, the power cable from the PS3 to the wall was also pretty short and barely reached the outlet. Not a huge deal but could be improved by Sony. The system comes with standard definition cables only, another cost cutting method no doubt. Luckily I had an extra HDMI cable and you'll want to make sure you have one if you have an HD TV (please don't buy one for $50+ at a retail store, get them online or ask your cable guy if he has an extra in his truck next time). These new PS3 systems have a plastic cover on top that acts as a sliding cover for the disk tray. This fixes the problem of disks being unremovable if the system has a technical problem. The cover feels and looks kind of cheap, but from a distance it doesn't really take anything away from the sharp looks of this system. The system is packed with a 500gb hard drive, which is just massive for a console. My Xbox was the 20gb original so I feel like I have limitless space for games and demos. I do find it odd that games need to be installed, but it's a minor gripe.

The game: I've only watched my roommate's play the other Assasin's Creed games, so this is my first go playing one. I'm having a hard time putting it down. The story is more engaging than the others, combat improved, and the graphics are very sharp. This is a great game that will keep you busy for a long time. If you're buying the bundle you probably know plenty about this game already so I won't go into detail.

Extras: This bundle comes with a 30 day trial to Playstation Plus, a premium online service. You'll need a credit card to use the trial and be wary of it auto-renewing once it's up. PS+ lets you download full versions of certain games as time trials, get automatic updates(not sure why this feature is "premium"), and certain other exclusives. I don't see myself using it as ditching the Xbox live fees was one of my motivations for switching.

Overall: If you're an Assasin's Creed fan and needed an excuse to finally buy a PS3, this is it. The bundle is a great value for the money. While not perfect, I do like this system more than my Xbox and the game it comes with is one of the best this year.

I've been an Amazon.com shopper for well over 4 years now, and I follow the Warehouse Deals section constantly, looking for the best value.

This package supercedes ANY deal I have ever seen for a PS3.

I've seen last years Black Friday deal for a PS3 bundle with less memory, minus the Playstation Plus trial, for $350+. I've also seen a 160 GB offered for the same price as this bundle.

You get everything in the Assassin's Creed 3 bundle that you need to play right out of the box, PLUS a 1 month Playstation Plus membership (which, in this owner's opinion, if you're a gamer at all, is a must-purchase for a year ($50). Just since March, I've gotten TEN retail games for free, $600 would have been the retail cost, even at $20 a piece that's $120. That's not to mention the various discounts and FULL game trials you receive as well, along with early access to demo's, and much more.

One note about this PS3 vs. the other models. The "tray" to insert your game/DVD is now on the top. No more sticking it in and ejecting it. If you've got nosy/playful children, they might get a little *too* playful and wreck this newer system. So take that into consideration when deciding whether to go with the 2nd model or this one.

Of course, this system also comes with Assassin's Creed III, which is a triumph in gaming. To be able to go back to an "alternative universe" with the American Revolution, but keeping the heart of AC beating, for 20-40 hours of gameplay (at least) along with post-DLC support is well worth the investment. And, if you're not an AC fan, just list it for $40 brand new and people will beat down your door to buy it!

Bottom line: If you've had your PS3 for a long time, or have one of the older models (ESPECIALLY the fat one, unless you have it to be able to play PS2 games ;), don't even hesitate. Unless this bundle is priced at $199 on Black Friday, there isn't a better PS3 deal around.

Sony did exactly what should be done to update a product, they looked at the biggest issues 1.) The previous console had a tendency to overheat and 2.) If id did overheat, it was impossible to get your game out before sending it in for repair. To counter these problems they 1.) Made a lighter, smaller, more efficient system and 2.) Made a spring operated release for the disc drive. After the obvious fixes, they outfitted it with a massive hard drive (500 GB) and bundled it with one of the most anticipated games of the year. All this for a reasonable price tag of $299.99. What more could you ask for? The console is amazing, much better (in my opinion) than the slim. It runs AC3 flawlessly and is whisper quiet. I would highly recommend this bundle as a first time buy or an upgrade. It is without a doubt worth every penny.

Pros: Virtually everything. Nice design, huge hard drive, new disc drive, smaller, quieter, ect.

Cons: Still comes with ONLY the composite video/audio cable, no HDMI.

This was well worth the money spent.

I spent about $250 for a 120gb PS3 "slim" when it originally came out, but man....This is an amazing deal. An extra 380gb of memory plus a free game for just an extra $50 compared to the original sales price when the "slim" model came in 2010.

It was wonderful when it arrived. It actually came a day earlier than it's supposed to. In fact, it actually came about 24 hours earlier than it should have. The box was nice and secured, they left it at the front office, since I was not at home at the time, and picked it up.

I opened the box, and the box looks just as it was in the picture, amazing. It came with the 30-day free-trial of PSN+, however I did not like that they asked for credit card information to activate it. The Ps3 "slim" was impressive. I compared it to my old one, and wow! It was so small compared to it. I was thinking, whilst looking at the new Ps3 "Wow, now THIS is a Ps3 slim!". I hooked up all the wires, and had it working. The new disc slot is cool, press a button and it actually slides open, my only gripe is that it basically is just manually shut. Other than that, the system runs perfectly fine. It's incredibly quiet compared to my old Ps3, and just more aesthetically pleasing.

All in all, I recommend this product for buy as a replacement, or a gift for the holidays. I mean, think of it. It's around $250 for 120gb, about $279 for a 180gb, $299 for a 320gb, but come on! for the same price of a 320gb Ps3 you could get an extra 180gb and a free game! So buy it now.

Just a disclaimer: I am a huge Monster Hunter fan, so there may be some bias in this review.

I started playing Monster Hunter on the PS2 8 years ago, then moved through the various PSP ports before stopping before the Wii and Wii U ones (I wasn't going to switch platforms for a MH game that has less content). So when I found out there was another MH game on the PS3, I was ecstatic.. Until I found out it was only in Japanese. I don't speak a bit of Japanese, however I do understand the concepts of MH very well, which is one thing that will help you greatly if you plan on purchasing this game.

Through the help of a couple wikis and some YouTube videos, I can manage to make out 95% of what is going on with the game and navigate it no problem, even with complete Japanese text and voices. The game is an absolute blast in single player and multiplayer, even if it feels a bit easier than previous MH games (Maybe that's just me though. At 3 hours into the game I already have a weapon that can kill the first "boss" monster in about 20 hits). I would definitely recommend it if A: You speak Japanese and understand Monster Hunter. B: You don't understand Japanese, but understand Monster Hunter and don't mind using the internet to help you with it. I would not recommend this if A: It's your first MH game or B: You don't speak Japanese and don't like using the internet to help. The final thing to mention is that this game IS upscaled PSP game for the PS3, so don't expect terrific graphics (that being said, the graphics are surprisingly good).

This game is very grind based in terms of gear and there is no leveling, just like all the other MH games. Meaning, there is no actual XP related leveling for your character, stats are based purely off gear (armor, weapons, charms) and buffs from items. This can turn a lot of people away from the game, but I personally love it. It adds a certain level of skill to the game (think Dark Souls type weapon upgrading, without the leveling) that others don't have.

The combat is phenomenal, there's all the same weapons plus a new one (Switch Axe), and they all flow just as well as always. I personally use the Long Sword (very long Katana/sword. Think Washing Pole from Dark Souls), and it is fantastic. The game uses the same controls as the PSP games, except you can use the right analog stick to turn the camera, which is a Godsend.

Lastly, they added some new monsters and area (such as a giant blue bear type creature you encounter in an ancient Japanese forest), which help greatly mix up the game's variety and style. This game has a much great Ancient Japanese Mountains feel, and less of a run down village feel like the previous games.

So, to sum up:

Pros:

Wicked fun.

Upscaled PSP graphics look surprisingly good.

Smooth combat.

Easy to get into if you have experience with MH.

New monsters.

New areas.

Refreshing new village.

Cons:

Language barrier is huge if you don't speak Japanese.

Not a good idea if it's your first MH game.

As said above, graphics ARE decent, but they are also upscaled PSP ones, so that can lead to some rather "blah" textures.

Game price. I paid around $50 shipped for a new copy of this game, and it's been out for years.

Difficult to find a group to play with online unless friends have the game.

All that being said, I love the game. I can see myself putting many, many hours into it.

The first thing I must say about the game is how awesome it is! For sure, the game is in japanese and for new players it might be really really frustrating not knowing what to do since it's a complex game... but if you played others Monster Hunter you wont have that much trouble! The graphics are pretty impressive for an HD port of the psp game! The controls are a lot better than PSP (for those who have problem with "The claw" camera control) ! The game includes Ad-hoc party(jp) and you can play online with other hunter (which is a nice feature but required a wired connection not Wi-Fi or else you won't be able to play online). There is a 3D feature(I don't own a 3d television so haven't tried it) and being able to hunt epic monster in 3D must be awesome :)! These days, most game have only few hours of gameplay but this one like other monster hunter you can spend lot lot lot and (did I said lot?) lot of hours playing this game hunting and grinding items alone or with friend ! If you have a PSP save of MHP3rd you can transfer it on your ps3! In conclusion... A must-buy for MH Fans! :D

I love the MH series. I was so happy when I purchased this game. If you've played other MH titles before then you won't have a problem knowing what to do. If you haven't ever played MH then leave this one alone. Everything is in Japanese. Unless of course you ARE Japanese. Great game.

Want Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. for PS3 Discount?

Having spent around 1300 hours in all Monster Hunter games, I knew what I was getting into when I got this game, so I wouldn't be absolutely lost playing a confusing Japanese game. Because Monster Hunter is hard enough to get into without being Japanese, If you want to get into this series I would highly recommend Getting 3 Ultimate before even thinking of trying this game. For those who have played Monster Hunter before, this game is basically where alot of the new stuff in 3U came from. Having new monsters, bringing back all 12 weapon types back, deleting water combat-and Gobul and Lagiacrus, And being able to have 2 kitty companions with customizable weapons and armor, this game does a lot that Tri didn't do. (Though Tri had a complete online which is why I personally had more fun with that game). Having spent around 300 hours in this game (PS3 and PSP version) this game is probably my second favorite in the series next to Tri (And second favorite game of all time next to Tri)

The statue itself is VERY fragile and is easy to dislodge from it's position in the display box. If you want this Collectors set, DO NOT have it shipped to you. If you can, go buy it in person and pick it up yourself to keep everything in one piece.

The game itself is good to go, but this review is for the poorly designed statue (and the idea of it in the first place). Once again, don't have it mailed/shipped to you unless you want it broken up and shifted all around the display box (even with FRAGILE & HANDLE WITH CARE on the shipping label). If you wish to add this to you collection, get it from a retail store where you can make sure everything is as it should be...

I am a huge Hitman fan and opted for the top edition. I was disappointed to receive it with one of the arms bouncing around in the box and some black paint smears on the face and back of the head.

They should have done a better job with the packaging and secured the base of the statue and arms to the box.

Although I do most of my purchasing on Amazon, this is my first written review of a product. Because of the lack of higher reviews, I felt like my positive input/support of the game was necessary. Hopefully people aren't too quick too judge and will ignore some of the mediocre reviews of the game, but Dog Days was honestly one of the most intense games I've played in a while.

Sure, the single player was short (which is why I'm giving the game 4 starts rather than 5), but it was definitely an extremely gritty, violent, and immersive one. I honestly had a great time playing through the single player campaign, and have started tackling Arcade Mode, as well as the creative and entertaining multiplayer components. Top notch voice acting and audio effects, along with an amazing environmental recreation of Shanghai, made for a great experience.

Maybe the handheld, shaky cam style isn't for everyone, but I found that it really contributed to the game, and definitely separated it from other third person shooters on the market (which was the whole point of it, but they really did succeed in making it work), and if it's too shaky for some players, there is an option to toggle the 'camera bob' on or off. Also, I'm never a fan of short single player campaigns, and I do wish that Dog Days had a longer one, but because it was fun and entertaining the entire way through, I feel more compelled to go back and give it another playthrough on a higher difficulty, which I don't often do.

The bottom line is that the game is a bit underrated, but really gritty, intense, and entertaining. The campaign is a short one (roughly 6 hours on Normal difficulty), but a very fun and stylish one nonetheless (greatly supported by the shaky cam and other visual/audio effects). Arcade Mode and the other multiplayer modes are all addicting, unique, and include a ranking system. If you're hesitant, give it a rental, or just wait a couple months for the price to drop and pick it up.

I never played the first game, but I was drawn to the style and presentation of this new installment. I have played through the single player story and it is shorter than most. It took me about 5 hours the first time through. I wish they could have created a more varied and lengthier campaign. It would have rounded out the game into a top notch title. The story was pretty simple and lacked a good story arc, but I enjoyed the one liners and off the cuff comments that came out as the story developed in game.

The game really pulls me in with how different it is with its presentation. For me it is a very welcome change from military shooters like Modern Warfare 2 and Killzone 2. Neon lights and dirty street alleys and the frantic fire fights through restaurants are so great. It feels like the best moments from the movie Heat turned up to 11.

There are two more game modes beyond the story, Arcade Mode and Online Multiplayer. They are mirrors of each other, but hold many hours of great fun. You play through a variety of heists with 7 team mates in several different game modes, designed to make sure you turn into a greedy, nasty, heartless criminal. Normally I like to play as the good guy, but after a few hours I was perfecting ways to kill off team mates and steal their part or the loot for myself. It became so much fun and challenging as you try to get to round 10 on a certain map. To me this is where the game really shines and stands out from the crowd. If you enjoy multiplayer this game is a blast.

Overall the game has flaws but can really shine in certain places.

This game's not even half as bad as people say it is. I had played through and completed Max Payne 3 before checking out this title. Kane & Lynch 2, at least to me, reminds me A LOT of Max Payne 3. Same game genre, and even though the game play mechanics aren't the same, but similar (which it should be for being in the same genre), the game still felt good to play. Considering that Kane & Lynch 2 is two years older, and though it's not as well polished as Max payne 3, it's a good 3rd person shoot, especially for the price it's at now ($10).

STORY: The stroies nothing to ride home about (as it usually is for most 3rd person shooters, or just shooters in general), but it's got a good story, not great, but good. It was interesting compared to most, and it held my interest.

GAME PLAY: There are several game play modes with this title. Like Max Payne 3, Kane & Lynch has a story, arcade and multiplier mode, but it also has a co-op mode. I found the gameplay to be pretty good. I enjoyed it. Like Max Payne 3, Kane & Lynch 2 is a simplistic glorified shooting gallery, a cover based shooter, moving from point A to point B. AI is good, I never noticed AI being ridiculously dumb or hard to deal with. AI was challeging at times, they flanked, and I felt that the AI was balanced out well for most part. There's a few neat game play mechanics in this game too. You can in some cases (if you're skilled enough) come up behind an enemy and grab hold of them, use them as a shield as you take out their allies, throw them, or you can execute them on the spot. You can also find explosive items within most of the levels that you can use to your advantage, and most you can even pick up and throw at your enemies to blow them up. I even found out that it's even possible to kill an enemy just by throwing the explosive item directly at him. All in all the game plays solid and enjoyable.

AUDIO: The audio in this games not bad, but it's not top notch either. lip syncing is good, it never seemed off, and the music in the game worked fairly well too. Also, the guns in the game sounded believable. I really have no complaints about the audio in this game.

GRAPHICS: The graphics in this game are top notch for being a late 2010 release. Everything's well detailed in the game, both characters and the environment. Only downside I'd say is that you see a lot of the same A.I. Cops are all the same person, and you kill a lot of the same bad guys, but it's balanced out well, characters and environments are very detailed, it's a hardcore 3rd person shooter, and it's in China (asians all have the same skin and hair color, so really it's as not as noticeable), so it really doesn't matter or ruin the experience.

Now to talk about what people probably dislike about this game the most. The game has this art style to it were it looks and feels as if someone's following you with a camera. I personally didn't mind, and you can even turn it off. It didn't effect my game play, and it reminded me somewhat of the effects (different, but similar) rockstar used in Max Payne 3. It brought a good uniqueness to the game, made it feel gritty.

CONS: Now my only complaints with this game, and one is more of a grip, and that's the AI in this game. I just wish the AI was more varied in the game. I saw and killed a lot of the same bad guys, and the cops and military are always the same person. But, since this is a fast paced shooter, and it's so detailed, it's easy to over look. My only other complaint is that the campaign is pretty short. I completed the game in about 5-6 hours.

VERDICT: Kane & Lynch 2 is a fun 3rd person shooter. This games developed by the same guys that gave you the hitman series. So, it's not nearly as bad as people say. It's a soild game and it's only flaws is it's short campaign and lack of varied AI models. At the price it is now it's definitely worth a purchase. It may not be as well thoughtout or polished as Max Payne 3, but if you're looking for a soild 3rd person shooter or a game similar to Max Payne 3, this is your best bet. All in all, on a scale from 1-10, I'd give Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. For the quality and price, this is definitely a title I'll be keeping in my collection.

I had played a demo for my 360 then I rented this game for my PS3 and thought the same thing both times. I gave this one a decent chance even though I hated it from the start. But I figured I should play a couple levels to give a fair chance and it never got better. If anything, it got worse and more pointless. The camera play is ridiculous, and it's like playing a crappy vigilante game. The only point is to kill people and whoever you're after. If you want a good vigilante game, play Saints Row: The Third. I sent Kane & Lynch back 20 minutes after I started it. Even if this game was $1, I would rather buy a can of soda than waste my one dollar on this game. Yes, I think it is that bad. If people like it, then more power to them and I hope they enjoy, I most certainly did not enjoy this game!!

thats how long this game is. 4 freakin hrs! thats insane. as far as the gameplay goes, the shooting mechanic is horrible, the cover mechanic is broken too. to top it off, the game ends abruptly. i was sittin in front of the tv goin, "wait, is that it?"

I had the Playseat EVO and enjoyed it for several years. When I upgraded to the rSeat V3 I found the cushion to be quite unsubstantial. I tried using foam from my local fabric store but I felt it in "the end."

I compared the shape of the cushion in my old Playseat (which I was getting rid of) and the shape required for the rSeat, whatya know, it was a pretty good fit.

So I ordered a new Playseat cushion to use in my rSeat rig. Works like a charm!

Regardless of your application this is a nice seat as the foam is quite dense, probably close to automotive quality and the cover on my original held up very well.

the button layout is alot nicer than the normal dualshock ps3 controls. the r1 and r2 buttons have been moved down next to the normal layout, making combos alot smoother. the dpad is high quality and works alot better than the dualshock. if a stick is to hard for you, try the pad. i did and it's the best way to play.

Don't buy this model (you might get the one I returned).

Right out-of-the-box, one Port would not charge any controller. All ports had a hard time holding the smaller controller. After finally getting three controller ports to start charging, I let them charge for a day. All of the Port Charging Lights changed from Red (Uncharged) to Blue (Full Charge). When I started to use them, they did not have a full battery charge. I had to plug them in to the USB on my Playstation before I could play a full game. I am VERY disappointed.

The Design looks great, and I like the Lights... but I didn't order a Lamp.

JUNK.

I got this item because it charges four controllers at once. I've just resorted to buying the Sony-manufactured one because this one is garbage. First off, only one of the charging ports worked most of the time, and then it didn't always work. The rest would every now and then start to charge only to stop a second or two later. The controllers did not fit into the port, falling out if touched ever so lightly, and the chargers in the port scratched the bottoms of the controllers. Do not buy this product.

I ordered this charging station with full hopes the negative reviews were wrong, and for one day I thought it wasn't all that bad. Yes, it was hard to get a navigation controller to charge, but I was able to get it to work. Then 24 hours later, the whole thing stopped working properly. None of the controllers would keep charging on it...I'll have to side with those who cannot recommend this product...I am returning it and getting the official Sony charger instead. Two less ports is a shame, but two working is better than four broken any day!

I purchased this charging station due to the great price, even after i read all the bad reviews after all it couldn't be as bad as they all said right? Well it's not that bad, in fact after using it for a week the only thing about it i dislike is the bright lights, but that was easily taken care of by covering then with some thin strips of black electrical tape. Now i hardly see the lights at all.

It charges very well as long as yo make sure the controllers are in place correctly, and that is not a hard thing to do. Just place the controller into the charge port and give it a slight turn until they fall into place. Once they are in the correct place they will hardly turn at all and there you have it a correctly docked controller. Not at all that hard to do.

My charging station works with all four ports. I am sure things can go wrong during manufacturing that can cause a port to not charge but it obviously doesn't happen on every single charging system like some of the reviews say.

In the end the charging station works just as described, charging up to four controllers at a time without to much of a issue and at a great low price.

This is a piece of JUNK! Don't buy it. All of the connecting pins have either broken off or bent over to the point of no return. None of my controllers will charge in this anymore and I have only had it a couple of months. What a poor design for a charging system. I took other peoples advice on Amazon and bought the NYKO Quad Charging Station it's $3 more, but much better engineering.

The instructions are really lacking here. After a recharge, once it ran out of juice, the controller now refuses to pair correctly with the ps3. Even with the adapter plugged in, and/or connected via the usb cable, the controller continues to blink 'slowly' but never reaches the 'stable' connection after pressing home repeatedly.

Tried to reset or force the connect via Select+L3 but to no avail.

This game is a lot of fun with freinds and family. The songs are great and have a wide variety to choose from. I never heard of some of the artist or listened to them such as justin bieber and iaz and since have become fans of their music.

My sister and I always pllay this game and see who can get the top score. There are a lot of new ways to play this game in mutilpalyer mode.

The only thing I would wish for is that they add more downloadable songs.

Like babyby justin beiber. Year without rain by selena gomez

This boy this girl hannah montana feat iaz

I love this game and would recomend to my freinds

Makes for a terrific gift for children and young teenagers.

My 8 and 5 year old daughters saw the cover and loved it. Then we opened it and they played it all day. That was the only day they played it and they never asked to play it since then. I'm not sure if they didn't enjoy it or if they just don't want to stop playing Wii games.
