Really loved this game especially the create fighter feature online community is still active took a while to find a game but single player also fun would recommend to any soul calibur fan

this is the first of the soul calibur games that i own...i only got this version because you can play as DARTH VADER..How cool is that ! the graphics/enviroments are stunning to say the least and shine on the ps3..the gameplay is fast and intense.. sure the storyline might be weak but this is a fighting game..so ill let that slide...

i know some people that have the xbox360 version with yoda..which is great and all but for some reason the ps3 version is a bit superior.. sure people might gripe because you can kick everybodys butt as vader..sure its true but there are moves you can master as well ..also there is another little surprise you can also unlock vader's secret apprentice from the force unleashed games also.. nice bonus.. but going up against him in arcade mode is a pain..

soul calibur 4 is a great addition to your ps3 library..i found this on sale for 10 bucks brand new..not a bad deal..

I tend to hear people call this particular Soul Calibur the worst, that the combat is poor or lacking, that the additions from III are negligible or worsen the experience. I'm not a particularly hardcore fighting game player so perhaps I don't know as well as others, but for the most part, I find this the second best title in the series gameplay wise after II. So... well, I'd recommend this title before Soulcalibur V to anyone who isn't just interested in the Create a Soul mode. Even then, while not as robust as V's, IV's is serviceable enough to create some very interesting characters.

Is a good game to play, it is similar to the soul calibur 2 game i owned. A lot of the old characters still have the same moves with a couple of new ones. If you like this kind of fighting style then this game if for you. Don't buy this if u are into mortal kombat, marvel vs capcom kind of fighting. This is a little more confusing on the move list and not a lot of chain combos.

I always get really bored of fighting games, but I love the detail that goes into the Soul Calibur series. I like the character customization and all of the unlockables. Another good story mode and bonus characters. I just personally get bored of these games after a while and pick it up a month later or so. I'm more of a FPS/Platformer/Racing gamer.

We purchased Disney Sing It Pop Hits for our Daughter because she loved the first Disney Sing It and still plays it quite often after a couple years of owning it. This new and improved version has 30 songs total. In my opinion 25 of the songs are good and 5 are not so good. There are a lot of cool things about this new version has like being able to sing solo, as a duet or comtete head to head in multiplayer mode. You can play with 1 player or even up to 8 players total. The Sing It Pro mode will help teach you proper breathing and pitch techniques as well as how to riff and harmonize. There is also the ability to record your performances and play them back later, complete with video if you have the playstation eye. It has unlockable wallpapers and themes in order to make the game look the most visually appealing to you. It's a really cool game, I only wish it had more songs on it. Maybe they will offer more songs for download via the playstation store in the future.

Since Amazon doesn't have the songs listed that are included on the game, I have listed them below for you.

"Fly on the Wall"

"The Climb"

"Hoedown Throwdown"

The seller does not say anywhere in his/her description that this game is not made for USA made consoles. When my kids could not make it work, I had to do extensive research on it and then go and buy HDMI cable and change bunch of settings in TV and console itself to get it to work. I am not very happy about it. Usually, when I buy a game, we put it in and it automatically detects and plays it because I buy it usually in USA store. It seems to me that this seller traveled to another country and brought bunch of cheep games to sell it here for profit without any precautions about the problems it may have with our consoles. I will never buy a game from Amazon.

I love Resident Evil. I've played every single one since the very first one came out for the Playstation. Survival horror is a genre that has changed quite a bit since that original entry and I'm happy to say that at least part of this game is an homage to that bygone era.

Gameplay: The gameplay is quite solid. The cover system works well and being able to move around while shooting is a welcome change. While it may not satisfy the purists, it's a step up from Resident Evil 4.5/5. The controls are quite responsive and I had almost no trouble at all (I caught some trouble sometimes :).)

Story: There are three separate campaigns, each with a very different feel. My favorite by and far was the Leon portion, which gives that sense of impending dread that the originals in the series gave. Chris and Wesker's son both also had interesting campaigns, and it was really cool when the campaigns intersected in the story. This is also a pretty long game, so you really get some serious playtime out of it.

The Health system has greatly changed. Instead of using your entire herbs at once, you can use them as pills adding them to your case just by pressing R2. They do let you hold more weapons than Resident Evil 5, an improvement.

Graphics: Everything in the game looks great. The action looks good, the new bad guys are pleasingly disgusting and the boss fights look top notch and Interesting how The MT Framework processes the Graphics too.

Overall a very engaging entry in the series. Well worth picking up if you're a fan. I haven't tried Mercenaries yet but hopefully it'll be fun.

Two Wishes:

First: The Anthology version that the Playstation recieved. Poor Xbox 360, Every Resident Evil game should've been on that console too!

Second: It would have been nice if Sheva Alomar made a small Appearance in the game (Or later in DLC).

Playstation 3: One Bluray Game Disc, 1,2,3,4 and 5 Games DLC.

Xbox 360: R6 Two Seperate DVD Game Discs, Resident Evil CODE Veronica X HD, Resident Evil 4 HD , Resident Evil 5 Gold, and Resident Evil Degeneration.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

Just to clarify again since Amazon product feature isn't update yet... "RE5 Gold" is included in this edition.

You get the PSN codes to download to download all the previous RE games... Code Veronica X NOT included (which you can still get from PSN for $20).

There are no instruction booklet at all, so that's a bit disappointing.

Notice that after the prelude opening, you can freely choose which characters you want to start with (Christ, Leon, Jake). But if you focus on one of them from start to finish, some of the story may not make sense to you later on... after doing a bit of research, here is the suggested path:

After Prelude:

Chris #1

Chris #2

Jake #1

Jake #2

Leon #1

Leon #2

Leon #3

Jake #3

Chris #3

Jake #4

Leon #4

Chris #4

Jake #5

Chris #5

Leon #5

I liked that they allow player to choose to play with which ever character they want, but I think they should at least give players a 'suggested' path to understand the story better.

Now I am going to say this right off the bat. I have not completed the game yet. However, I have had a good amount of time with the three initial campaigns. From the amount of time I have played, this is my honest review. I might get some flak from this.

Story: The story is put together in an interesting, yet confusing way. There are three initial campaigns to play through: Jake, Leon, and Chris. The fourth campaign is Ada and it is unlocked after you have completed the first three. The first part of the story goes in this order: Jake, Leon, and Chris. After a certain point, it gets a little confusing. The reason being is that if you progress too far through one campaign, some thing may pop up where you had to have played one of the other campaigns first to understand. Hope that did not sound too confusing. The newly emerged C-Virus has emerged and the protagonists travel across the globe to contain it and find out who let it loose.

Gameplay: This is where I will get the flak. I will not lie. This is not the Survival-Horror game hardcore fans have known and played in the early years. This is more action packed and more modern. More like a game of the third person shooter genre, if you will (Future Soldier, Uncharted without the adventure aspects, etc). However, even though this game strays from it's name, the game is still very fun and enjoyable. With shooting, you can now move more freely while aim. Whereas in Resident Evil 4 and 5, you could not move while aiming. You can also customize the type of aiming laser you like and the color of the laser. They also added action abilities. These include quick shot, counters, dives and rolls, and the ability to shoot while laying on the ground. They added a melee button too. They also added skill points. These are used to purchase skills and level them up. Unlike past Resident Evil games, you cannot upgrade your weapons through a store/menu. They changed the inventory system too. They have brought back the Mercenaries game mode but have added the Agent Hunt mode, which I have not played yet. If you neglect the fact that it is named as a Resident Evil game, you could possibly enjoy it.

Specific to this edition: Resident Evil 6 Anthology comes with Resident Evil 1-6, hence it being called Anthology. This edition costs 90 dollars, about 30 dollars more than the standard edition which is 60 dollars. I believe this is a very good deal. Even though a physical disc(s) would be ideal, I am perfectly fine with these digital downloads. These are the premium editions of the games too (Of the games that had one). As of now from where I looked, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition is 20 dollars. From the Playstation Store, Resident Evil 4 HD is 20 dollars, Resident Evil Director's Cut is 10 dollars, Resident Evil 2 and 3 are 7 dollars each. If you add this up along with Resident Evil 6, the total cost is 124 dollars. You are saving 34 dollars when you buy this. Even though this does not come with Code Veronica, you are already getting a lot for you money. Six games for 90 dollars.

Final Thoughts (as of now): Even though Resident Evil 6 strays from the rest of the Resident Evil franchise, it still maintains some of the Resident Evil features and it is a great and fun game nevertheless. The four campaigns add longevity to the game (all playable in co-op except for Ada, I believe) and each adds its own different feel. The game feels much smoother and the controls are not very confusing. Longtime, hardcore Resident Evil fans may not like the change but I gladly accept it. Most of these bad reviews are coming from longtime resident evil fans. I perceive these reviews as biased but I can see where they are coming from. If you like an action packed shooter that has some of the Resident Evil feel to it, get it.

It would be nice if the product description stated that not all the games listed are included as disks (which is the only reason I purchased this). All versions other than RE 6 must be downloaded. This is not an all-inclusive anthology, but rather RE 6 with download codes...way false advertising!!

I have been with the Resident Evil series since the beginning. I remember going over my buddy's house, him saying, "Man...you gotta try this game!" and he sat me in front of the TV with the controller, dimmed the lights, and I swear I totally freaked when I ran into my first Zombie...you fans remember don't you? A man hunched over a body on the floor, then you approach and he slowly turns and you realize...ZOMBIE!!!! There had never been anything like it before, at least not to me. The clues you had to find, the puzzles, a big spooky mansion filled with zombies. It was the best!

Fast forward sixteen years and quite a few additions to the series. Now we have 6.

RE6 is fun to play, I guess, but I find myself getting a headache from being tense all the time. It's almost non-stop action...which gets exhausting after a couple of hours. There is almost no breaks where you have to do some exploring and puzzle solving. Don't get me wrong...there are a few lame puzzles you have to solve that don't take any kind of thought at all and they are very short. Disappointing to say the least. I like that we get to see the familiar faces of games past...but I'm tired of the non-stop trucks blowing up, planes and buildings and whatever else falling on you and you having to do a couple of button presses to dive out of the way or else get crushed. (Reminds me so much of those books I had when I was a kid where it would tell you to turn to page XX if you choose to open the door or turn to page XX if you want to ignore the door and move on. So you choose to open the door and BOOM! you die.) There is a lot of that in this game...rather than just beating the crap out of a boss or zombie it gives you a timer and the x button on the screen and you have to push the x button at the right time in order to push the zombie off of you. Too much of that...so it feels kind of like the game is playing the game for you. I don't like it. I just want to explore and beat some zombies up by doing a cool move I learned or something. But instead while I'm beating up a group of zombies the R1 and X button show up so I push them and my character automatically takes the axe sticking out of the zombie (that was there already...assuming from some guy he tried to eat) and chops his head off automatically.

I don't know...I just really miss the old action of previous games and the puzzle solving and exploring...It's like the whole game is explosive. And I mean it...I really do have a headache from all the sudden "Oh SH*T...HURRY HURRY HURRY!!!!"s in the game. One right after the other.

If you like action a lot...go for it. It's worth a play to get the story. It's fun to play with people on line. Not a bad game, but not my Resident Evil of old.

EDIT (weeks later):

I just want to add that I've been playing the game for weeks now and I do appreciate it for what it is, even if it isn't like my Resident Evils of old...I have been enjoying the online features very much. It is fun to play it with other people out there in the world. This is new to me...as I had not yet ventured into the online multi-player experience. However, just judging from this RE6 game, it was easy to use it online and when I was new to the game, I had multiple Veteran RE6 players help me out on my quest first time through the campaigns and now that I am a veteran, I am doing the same for others. When you are low on ammo and haven't got all the guns, it's nice to have a vet join you who can blow all the zombies away that are overpowering you when you are low on ammo and are still getting used to the controls. So I thought it only fair to change it from three stars to four.

I was curious about this controller so I bought me one. Not that I have a problem with the Sony DS3 controller but wanted to check out what the whole fuzz about the XBOX360 buttons layout has a better feel. First thing you will notice it is huge making the thumbsticks feel tall. So the thumbstick throw from one end to the other (left to right/down to up etc.) feels long and slow. Not a bad thing just a different feel to it. The D-pad/X/O/TRIANGLE/SQUARE/L1/R1 has a tiny stiff feel to it but perform well with games where you are required to press a buttons repeatedly. L2 & R2 trigger design are comfortable with the pressure sensitive feeling somewhat twitchy. In other words not as smooth as the DS3. For example, In a racing game like GT5 it is a lot harder to maintain the accelerator at low rpms. To find out if this is a problem or not I loaded up GT5 (L2 braking/R2 acceleration). After setting lap times and switching controllers between dS3 & Power A, turns out both controllers set similar times. Just a different feel to it. The L3/R3 buttons do need to be push a little harder than the DS3. I did not find any deadzones in this controller as some say there is. The controller housing has a smooth grip feel to it. Games I tested with are GT5, GTA IV, GOW3, RDR, Dead Space 2, RE5, Skyrim, TR:Underworld, inFamous, Birds of Steel(works great with this game) and many more. All perform well but with one slight problem with the left thumbstick. It seems like it is registering as if the thumbstick is pressing to the right while the thumbstick is in neutral position. Only seen this happen in Uncharted 1 & 2. When the player character is hanging from a ledge. This does not really affect gameplay but it is there. I posted a video to show what I mean. All other games I tested does not have this problem. Will this controller replace my DS3? No, but I have not being able to put it down either. In conclusion it is a great controller with room for improvement. 4 out of 5 stars.

Been using this controller for about a week now and so far its been functioning well, Its light even with the rumble but not too light like the sixaxis. The feel of the controller is smooth like matte or suede. The grips are a nice touch and help if you get sweaty palms and in those cases where that leads to dropping your controller; with the grips this most likely will never happen. I've been mostly playing FPS games with this controller and its been excellent it feels like your playing on xbox 360, the whole controller is mapped like the 360 controller down to the shoulder buttons which look and feel like the xbox controller.

The controller is good for fps games mostly as I tried playing fighting games (MKvsDC,SSF4 etc and it did'nt fair to good thanks to the d pad which is better then 360s but not by a lot.

The only small problem I have with this controller is that you can't turn on your ps3 with it by pressing the home button on the controller instead you'll have to manually do it. Which is not huge negative, you can just turn on your ps3 while your plugging in your controller. But that added convenience would of been nice but its a 3rd party controller so I understand some features would be missing like motion controls; which I didn't care one bit because the ps3's motion controls is a joke and most people forget that it even has that function

There is a wireless version but it costs a little more. All in all I'd recommend this to any ps3 owner whose looking for a great alternate ps3 controller, its the best one out in the market from my use with it.

Buy Pro EX Controller for PS3 Now

As people have already noted, the dead zone is huge. I totally agree with this statement. I see this as a huge problem for serious gamers or for even the casual FPS fan. I am not one of these people. I enjoy adventure, action and sports titles. So the dead zone, while still large and quite noticeable, doesn't have a drastic/negative effect for me. Overall I like how the controller is laid out, the comfort of the grips and mimicked XBox design. I used to get thumb fatigue when playing a couple straight hours of games. Not anymore.

Pros

Overall design and layout = great comfort

I chose the cord version due my concerns with the wireless lag. The cord is very long and provides plenty of range.

Cons

D-pad is quite horrible. In sports game it's used to adjust and call plays. It seems far too sensitive. You have to tap it ever so slightly or it'll scroll through all the menus and options. Quite annoying.

Dead zone while I noted it wasn't a big factor to me, it's still large and noticeable while I play. The controller stick just doesn't have the same response as the DS3 and will take an adjustment period.

Overall I think it's a great controller at the price. I have broken 2 of my old DS3 controllers and don't think they're worthy of spending $45-$55 for a new one, when I know it's going to break again and I have this controller as an option.

This controller has completely transformed the way I play the PS3. The standard controllers are pretty lame since they're holdovers from the 1995 Playstation 1 !!!

The Pro Ex makes games where response time and precision a lot more fun to play. They feel a lot like 360 controllers and as a result I jump on the PS3 a lot more often for games that I have on both platforms. My kill ratio in MW3 has gone up considerably, I can now get a ratio of close to 2:1 on a regular basis. I used to get more like 1.1:1.

I am now a total believer in this controller.

I'm going to buy a couple of spares right now.

PS3 is now my go to platform. Now if Sony could only publish more 1080p games...

Want Pro EX Controller for PS3 Discount?

Within a week, the analog sticks developed an issue where the controller would register the right stick as being UP when nothing is touching it. This is most apparent when playing FPS games where the reticle moves up on its own.

Good concept to create a PS3 controller for Xbox gamers, but the controller itself is a little bulky (size wise, not weight it actually is a very light controller) when compared to the xbox 360 and ps3 controllers and takes getting used to.

This is a nice ps3 controller. I bought it because my Sony quit working. It comes with a USB connector, that is how it connects to the ps3 to be able to use it. The construction of the control is nice, it seems to be pretty sturdy. You can't turn the ps3 on using the controller, which is not big deal, but would be nice. The new Skylanders Giants starter pack did not disappoint. We seriously considered getting a Portal Owner's Pack, since we did have the portal from the original Skylanders game, but the Starter pack comes with TWO new Skylanders characters in addition to the one Giant Skylander that comes with the Portal Owner's Pack. Given that the Starter Pack was only $15 more than the Portal Owner's Pack, and the price of individual figures has risen to $14.99, getting a spare portal AND another figure made getting the Starter Pack a bargain!

Oddly, the portal is wired. The original PS3 portal is wireless. I guess we can still play if we run out of AA batteries, so that's nice, but unless the original portal breaks, I can't see using the wired portal much.

The Giant included, Tree Rex, is a lightcore figure. This means that when you put him on the portal, portions of the character light up. In this case, his eyes, and his Chlorophyll cannon. We haven't gotten any of the other Giant Skylanders yet, but so far, we REALLY like the new direction. Gameplay provides ways of getting through each adventure with or without a Giant in play. You can use your old Skylanders characters, and they can now level up past level 10, but you won't get credit for any of the series one characters in the collections awards/accolades, unless they are brand new. We had a fair number of series 1 characters, but the only one that registers as a collected character is the new Drill Sergeant Wal-Mart exclusive I had recently obtained (before the price increase) and had not played in the old game. He does register as a series one Skylander though.

Don't get me wrong, all the old characters bring all their old levels and powers in, and that can be a big help in playing (especially if you had a lot of gold built up), but they don't appear in the collections, if you switch hats, the old hats are no longer available (unless you go back to the original game), and a significant number of the accolades are related to buying new characters. Brilliant marketing device, but a touch annoying to parents.

One new portion of the game that I quite like is the addition of the Skystones games. In game, in addition to the rotating lock puzzles, there is now a strategic game involving tiles you accumulate as you play the game. The games against in-game characters gets harder over time, and in some cases you need to choose your tiles, as well as their placement, wisely in order to win. I like that the game is encouraging more thinking of children. Kudos for that!

I bought the starter pack instead of the portal pack, because the kids didn't have cynder and jet-vac. So the portal was free when you add all the pieces together and I wanted a backup portal anyway. The new portal is USB powered only, the previous one was battery and wifi, which is better. No more battery or connection problem when the battery is low. The game graphic looks the same as spyro adventure, pretty rough. I was hoping for a higher resolution for the game. So minus one star.

The Giants eyes and other parts lights when placed on the portal. As for the gameplay, I can't say much, but the kids love it... for now... I remember when I bought them the spyro adventure last thanksgiving, they played on the weekend for about couple of weeks and then it sat there collecting dust till the Giants came along. Almost a year! What I am saying is that you don't have to buy all the skylanders giants or the skyalanders, watch and see if they really like it or not.

My just got this for his birthday and he loves it. The coolest feature I think is that the individual figurines get there levels, gold, and weapons "transferred" to the figurine and you can play your character on other people's systems whether it be PS3, Wii, XBox, etc. Know that you only need one portal as this is only a one or two person game and multiple Skylanders can go on one portal. You should also look into Sidekicks and add on "weapons" as they are fun additions.

Read Best Reviews of Skylanders Giants Starter Kit Here

One of the things I hated most about the original was that the Portal was wireless and took batteries. This one is USB powered. We would run into problems with the wireless one with the original because they would need changed in the middle of the game and lock the game up and cause us to lose our progress even after we changed the batteries. The design of all the characters in this version of the game look better than the originals. The Giants are huge and the one that came with this lights up when you put them on the portal. Very nicely done I think. The down fall is that Activision Inc. is charging more for all the new series 2 figures. The series 2 figures seem to go up to 150 max stats instead of 100 max stats. My kids all loved playing this game.

We bought this game for our four year old this past Christmas. She is pretty technologically-advanced for her age, but had not mastered the Playstation controller yet. Thanks to this game and her extremely patient father, she can now enjoy videogames just like him. It is a huge hit, and only three months later, she is able to turn on the console, load the game, and play at least three levels with no help at all. It is a great bonding experience for her and her dad. They have a blast upgrading the characters and picking new ones to try out. We now have a respectable collection, and buying new characters is an easy gift opportunity or reward. It can be a bit of an investment in the long run, but worth it for what she's gaining. It is also encouraging her to read so that she can tell what she needs to do.

I highly recommend this game. It is a great concept for a game, the gameplay is challenging but not so much so that it gets discouraging and the characters are hilarious. I highly doubt you will regret getting this game!

Firstly I did tons of research before this purchase. I can't stand FPS on console. However all my friends are on PSN so I picked this up because MW2 on PC Multiplayer is sorely lacking, so if I'm gonna play something that I'm not completely happy with I might as well do so with friends.

Here's where the FragFX comes in, I have MW2 sensitivity set to max, and the setting on the "fragchuk" to 3. Smooth as silk. I saw so many reviews about it being crap, aftr a few hours hands on I'd have to disagree. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could because there are some minor flaws.

1. Doesn't support Windows 7 64 bit (Website says the Pro will as of Jan 2010, I have the v.2 SE and it says nothing about 64 bit. I tried to force it under XP compatability but it wouldn't do it's thing. Luckily my laptop is 32 bit but I still can't seem to get it to update, I'm guessing because the laptop is Windows 7)

2. Feels a bit cheap

3. The R3 button (where a mouse wheel would be) is kind of hard to hit, and the start button is right below that

The good stuff

1. Smooth as silk on MW2

2. The waggle options are great, I use it to bypass my issues with R3 as I have a side to side motion set (which in MW2 is default Knife). I also have the throw motion mapped to grenade.

3. As I'm unable to fully update the firmware, I'm happy to say that the research I did where people said it's crap for MW2 were completely wrong.

Don't bother doing research on the net as most of the bashing or super hyping of this product is done by 1 postcount trolls. As you can see I've had plenty of other reviews that have nothing to do with the PS3.

So I've been using the PS3 FragFX controller for over 6 months now. I don't bother posting reviews until I HAVE FULLY TESTED THESE ITEMS!

The controller at first did have a "cheap" feel to it. But I gave it's due chance. After 3 hours of play... it was simply awesome! A great solution for ex-PC Game players! I love using a mouse and keyboard for game play and this was the (only) best solution at the time. I soon became very confident in the game play and the reaction time of the controller was top notch!

But here's a negative. The R3 button is way too close to the start button. The R3 button in MW2 is defaulted for knife use. Many times I have mistakenly pressed the start button at the same time resulting in the start menu popping up. As we all know... every second counts in this (these) games and this was and still is annoying.

After 3 months of play, I got the dreaded "auto button pressing" issue. This seems to be the same issue that has been happening with many other users. At first is was just "auto-firing". Then it started pressing the "start button" randomly. And so as a Computer Technician, I don't have it in me to "send in" the controller just to get a different (new one) that will eventually duplicate the same faults in the future. So I did what I do.... I took the thing apart!

Problem solved:

Like many (soft) keyboards, cell phones, and calculators... the PS3 FragFX uses soft plastic "bushings" in between the hard plastic buttons and the controller board. Giving the user the "soft" cushion feel upon pressing the buttons. These soft plastic bushings, after hours of play, simply "pop" out of position internally. It took me about 10 mins to take the "mouse" controller apart. (yes it's tricky) Than I tinkered with the pieces for another 10 mins. Re-aligning the soft bushing into place. Then it took me another 5-10mins to put it back together. Presto! It worked AS GOOD AS NEW immediately!

After 6 months of play, I had to take apart my PS3 FragFX 2 times. About 2-3 months apart. But I'm a pretty HIGH intense player! So I may "beat-up" my controllers more than others may do.

Splitfish will never tell you to open up your controller. By doing so you WILL void the warranty on the unit. So take this thing apart "at you own risk". This pretty much proves that I am in no way affiliated with Splitfish. And I in no way want to "piss them off". Because us gamers appreciate their decision to tackle such an IMPORTANT piece of artillery to my arsenal!! Now I challenge them to improve on their product! Please make the next version better, stronger, faster! Keep it up Splitfish!

(PS I will be testing FragNstein next!! See you in 6 months!)

As I'm typing this I currently use Eagle eye and Fragfx 1. Fragfx 1 is still the best choice to emulate a gamepad for the last 3 years. Splitfish terminated firmware updates a month or so ago when the 3.5 sony patch came out leaving us with bricked fragfx1's. Another site Tuact the competition actually helped us fragfx 1 owners out and released a patch so now it works. Very bad business with splitfish but I still give the version 2 se a fair review. Eagle eye is an adapter that allows you to use your own mouse very awesome and also worth checking out I use this exclusively even with the fragfx 1 working eagle eye is great.

Hopefully the video lets you see what I saw but keep in mind this is still much better than a gamepad if you are a serious pc gamer the choice is obvious.

Tested using

Modern warfare 2

Exactmat SPEED side

Razer mamba mouse feet much better glide than stock

Pros

Smooth movements all around when zoomed in

price

Better than gamepad

Cons

Slower less responsive than fragfx1 while zoomed in

Deadzones while micro aiming you can see that in video

Splitfish track record of terminating support when sony releases 3rd party block patches

This is my 3rd purchase of Splitfish products. Both FragFX V2 controllers have failed. The first in 5 months the 2nd in 1 month. Each had a different issue. The original FragFX worked great for over a year. Company support has been good but who cares. I don't want to wait for a replacement for an item with less than 25 hours of use. Absolute garbage. When it works it works GREAT and helps my gaming.

Want PS3 FragFX Controller V.2 SE Discount?

The FragFX Pro is garbage, but this is a good product. I used it for about a year to play COD: World at War and Killzone 2. The biggest problems is it's cheaply made. I was pretty rough on mine and it didn't break, but the quality is low. The next problem is the R3 button and the start button are right next to each other. I just stopped trying to knife people is COD because I usually just ended up pausing the game and getting killed. A lot of people who loved this controller are going to trash it because they got burned when they bought the FragFX Pro and want to get back a Splitfish. There are better products out there, but this works as advertised.

What can I possibly say that the previous reviews have not already covered? The first COD4: Modern Warfare raised the bar for total immersive first person game play, and the on-line multiplayer mode most certainly contributed to the overall success and popularity of this now classic game. Like many, I wondered how in world could Infinity Ward improve on an already near perfect game? Modern Warfare 2 is the answer to that question. I'm sure I could sit here and write a lengthy review about every cool new aspect of the game, but you really just have to experience it for yourself. Newcomers to this franchise will be blown away, and will no doubt be exhilarated by this gaming experience. Original Modern Warfare vets will appreciate the continuing story line in campaign mode, and the vastly improved additions to the on-line multiplayer mode. I can already see that the devastating new killstreaks will be the bane of those who consistently fall victim to more skilled players in Team Deathmatch. God help us all. If you can't pick up this game just yet, you had better at least hone your skills on the original MW before entering the multiplayer arena in MW2, less you get your feelings hurt. The hardened edition is definitely worth the extra cheese if you like the extra bling. Nice steelbook hardcase with very nice cover art, plus a mini concept art book and the original COD game to boot. But in essence it's really all about the game after all isn't it? So if the extra special goodies aren't your cup of tea and you just want to get right down to it and start racking up as many kills as possible, then save your money and go for the standard edition. I'm sure the special editions may be tough to come by when Christmas shopping season hits, so get it while you can. I will not be surprised if this follows in it's predecessors footsteps and wins Game of the Year. Again.

Man this game is absolutely awesome, I truly see what all the big fuss is about. I have never played Call of Duty before but if those games in the past is 1/4 as good as this then they're great too. I'm not really into 1st person shooters but this is the best there is. The graphics are so realistic, it looks like you're playing a movie instead of a video game the weapons, voice-overs and missions are immaculate. And the multi-player is absolutely perfect I can't find anything negative about this game. I was always taught if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all. But I have nothing but nice things to say. I will definitely recommend this to anybody who's looking for a 1st person shooter. I can clearly see why this is the most anticipated game of the year. GRAPHICS 5stars, GAMEPLAY 5stars, REALISM 5stars, WEAPONS 5stars, MULTI-PLAYER 5stars EVERYTHING 5stars. CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 5STARS...

Okay I am going to be as clear as I can be, this is probably the greatest first person shooter I have ever played.

Unlike most people I am going to say the bad stuff first.

The campaign is a little short in comparison to other games. So if you are a gamer who only plays the single player campaign and will never touch the online, I would rent before you buy. But I can promise you that you will enjoy the single player game.

Now onto what will keep you busy for probably the rest of your life, the multiplayer, competitve and coop. This game takes everything good from the first game and pretty much doubles it in greatness. Everything is better. You can now have 3 perks on instead of one, my favorite is the bling, which allows you to have 2 attachments. The deathstreaks are a nice touch too because they help you if you are having a bad game. So you will enjoy this mode.

Now onto the coop. This is not the full story coop, instead it is just a bunch of missions that you must complete. And they are fun none the less. They vary from killing a number of enemies, snowmobile racing, or covering your friend with a gunship.

Okay this part will be about the extras for buying the hardened edition. This is worth it because not only do you get the game but also the original call of duty.

So go out there and buy this game, unless you like missing out on a very good game.

While I had the first two Midway Arcade Collections for the PS2 the price of this made it worth getting as well since I actually haven't played on my PS2 for awhile. There's really not much to say about this collection other then it's a nice nostalgic collection of 80 and some early 90 games for those who grew up playing these either at the arcade or on consoles. Obviously the graphics aren't going to match up to today standards as most are 8bit or slightly higher but it's sometimes nice to play these longtime classics that bring back fond memories of those times for many of us. The collection is pretty decent about 30 games as the collection is similar to the http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Ultimate-Genesis-Collection-Playstation-3/dp/B001G33V8S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1365461273&sr=8-1&keywords=sega+collection which is another great collection to have for the older generation gamers. Regardless for those of us who remember these games fondly then rejoice as this collection helps bring back those memories of yesteryear this time on the PS3.

I was very thrilled to get Midway's Arcade Origins for the Playstation and overall I was very impressed with it.I'm hoping the Midway,Namco,or even Data-East collections make their way to the PS3 consoles...I felt burned when I found out my copies of the PS2 couldn't be played on the PS3.On that note it was very refreshing for this Midway collection at a reasonable price. Our current 'most helped reviewer' has a pretty negative outlook and strays from logic such as the following....

Controller Functions:

Yes the trackball from Marble Madness had interesting reaction to the slightest touch, but the smooth action on the joystick knobs has pretty smooth response too.Same can be said for Defender or Super Off Road which used a steering wheel,as a substitute the playstation's controller and button assignments are well laid out.The reviewer isn't thinking like an adult 'I want a trackball blah, blah, blah' like a whining child.Technology has progressed (and will continue to) allowing these games to be comfortably played on a flexible controller. If you expect the controller styles to be 100% accurate then buy the original arcade game, actually a product like what the reviewer mentioned probably wouldn't be as heavy-duty or would be very limited to range of use.

The Games:

As far as the games some of these I had from the previous Midway Arcade Treasures collections and I felt the library was perfectly consolidated.Root Beer Tapper?it's a very straight forward game but requires speed and serious hand/eye coordination to keep up.Xybots isn't really in league with Wolfenstein 3D or Doom but it's a decent third person person shooter.Smash TV and Total Carnage were decent shooters of the early 1990's but they ate quarters since you got killed so quick by enemies in mass quantities...but the bosses were awesome!Rampage was alot of fun-who wouldn't want to be a ruthless monster destroying buildings and eating while destroying cars, tanks, and anything that can hurt you.I've never been much of a sports game fan but I liked the basketball game Arch-Rivals which allowed you punch another player to get your ball back...playing by street rules.Gauntlet/Gauntlet II was a quarter burner just like Smash TV and though it doesn't hold a candle to the souped up action games today Gauntlet was a tasty delight just as well as Wizards of Wor.Pit Fighter may not have gained as much popularity as Mortal Kombat due to advanced moves and fatalities. But you could move around more and pick up weapons(shurikens, pool cues, knives, and even a motorcycle) and at certain times there are two opponents at once to fight.Watch out for the occassional character who pops out from the crowd and tries to knife you...you can attack them back.Pit-Fighter came out several years before MK and despite the lack of eye candy gave I really liked Pit-Fighter.Galaga was created by Namco and I believe Space Invaders was as well,or maybe Atari...either way Midway/WB doesn't own the rights to these titles so that explains why they aren't included.Every game on this collection has varying fun factors depending on the player and I like this approach of these vintage collections,it really brings something special to the table.

Presentation:

It was pretty cool to see the old original cabinets of these classic games on the game selection screen,it really takes you back seeing them after all these years and the unique character behind these games. For thirty dollars rather than the typical fifty to sixty dollar price for a PS3 game just released?pretty good value. The ability to choose free play settings such as difficulty, number of lives, score bonus does lend flexibility to the settings.

Final Thoughts:

Not that I'm against the video games of today(as a matter of fact my modern game collection consists of first person shooters),but alot are missing something special behind all that high resolution...to be honest I think the newer/hi-tech games have gotten easy to beat. These retro games were more streamlined back then-some were just fun in general to play and some were flat out challenging.Although this isn't an included game PAC-MAN was a great example of a basic retro game..it required very quick hand and eye coordination to survive. The beauty of these arcade collections is they get re-released in higher resolution without sacrificing the natural low-res graphics and even better...no more quarters to burn through! As I mentioned earlier I had the Gottlieb and Williams Pinball Hall of Fame Collections,Midway Arcade Treasures Vol.1-3,Namco Museum Collection and the Intellivision Collection(it was okay but accurately captured).Altogether I spent alot more time playing these collections than the newer games because they prove to have a focused level of enjoyment.Just like the Sonic's Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection-It doesn't quite shine me on like the arcade collections do,but I do miss those my old Sega Genesis at times.Anyways, the Midway Arcade Origins is great and I highly recommend it...5-stars!

This is a great mix of games. I love Defender, Stargate, Smash TV, Sinistar, Wizard of Wor.

The sound effects are my favorite part. If you have an HDTV and sound bar than this is heaven.

I have read complaints about how it is a re release of last generation's but you can't forget that Midway went under and WB owns it now. The games are presented in HD 16:9 so it offers something the other Midway/Williams compilations don't.

Turn off the lights and escape into the wonderful world of the 80's arcade experience!

I would have paid the price just for Robotron 2084. Honestly there are only about 10 games in the collection that I play constantly. But IMO if we are honest, we remember that when we went to the arcade, there were only a handful of games that we pumped our money into anyway. Sure, it was fun to have our friends around, 80's tunes on the jukebox, the click clack, of the air hockey tables, and the demo sounds of all the surrounding games all clamoring together... But at the end of it all it was just the favorites that we put our hard earned quarters into. This collection of games is no different. Find your favorites and play them until the controller breaks... Buy a new controller and start again!

Want Midway Arcade Origins Discount?

Nothing gimmicky like 80s music or extra minigames in this package just a solid collection of some of the most addictive titles from our arcade past. The HD conversion process actually makes some of these games more playable as well as the dual stick controls for games like Smash TV and Robotron. If you have an arcade stick games like Defender really hold up well and can be hard to stop. These games are almost all classics in one respect or another you can't go wrong with this bundle.

This new Rapala Fishing Frenzy 2009 was so much fun. It even made the controller act like a real fishing rod with both the casting and reeling in the fish. The pictures are very clear and there is quite a choice of tackle and many different fish to catch. Even my son who is an avid fisherman loved the game and wanted to play it again and again. He had the older version for the PlayStation 2 and said that this one was so much better. There are different choices of lakes and you can even stop fishing and drive the boat to different locations on the lake. This game is real winner for all ages. Even my 4 year old grandson loves it and is able to play it.

First let me say that I loved the old, blue box, Trivial Pursuit. It continues to be a great game and I was skeptical that it could translate well to a video game console.

I was wrong to doubt. The PS3 version of the game is crisp, looks great, and has fun animations when your puck moves about. I was also worried that the questions would be too easy, as they are mainly multiple choice wrong again. Some of them are real stumpers. Additionally, there are new ways they've come up with to ask questions, for example a geography question showing a map and forcing you to pick one of four points with no political boundaries shown. Can be tough. Some of the questions also use photos, which is fun as well. The questions are also a great mix of classic trivia and up-to-date information one question even asked to choose the website that was not a social networking site: myspace, facebook, live journal, or icanhascheezburger. I can has fun?

The single-player mode is quite fun, and I can see that I will be spending a great deal of time with it. The classic mode is great for a group (have only played with three so far) and doesn't seem to take as long as a marathon session with the board game sometimes did. There is also a quicker multiplayer mode that's quite enjoyable and can be played in less than 30 minutes.

My only complaint is that they've added a voiceover by a guy who's really quite annoying. He suggests at times that you look up the word loser so you can see a picture of yourself, and is overall tough to listen to after an hour or so. That's OK, you can turn him down or off.

Great job, great game!

I bought this game for my son who lives in another state. I visited his home in Sept. and we played Trivial Pursuit together. I loved it. He is very good at games and I actually beat him one time with this. I highly recommend this for a fun family game.

Want Trivial Pursuit Discount?

First off, I love Trivial Pursuit. Its not that I dont like this game, just this implementation of it.

I was hoping to see more downloadable question packs by this time. They have how many card decks to choose from, and we're getting squat. I'll pay, just make them.

They have an irritating way of asking geography questions. They show you a map with 4 dots on it. However the resolution isn't always good enough to distinguish two cities that are close together. I know the right answer, but you cant spot it on their map

We're also getting asked the same question in the same game. That's just nuts.

As for the question packs I don't live in India. Why so many questions about Dollywood actors, actresses, and movies that I have never heard of. That pack was totally useless. Glad it was a freebie.

Oh and I wish I could turn off the "cute" graphics. I was able to turn off the music, the sound effects, and the annoying answer.

In short, I just wanted to see a great board game translated to a console. It needed no changes.

Whoever did Monopoly did a far better job!

The instructions are really lacking here. After a recharge, once it ran out of juice, the controller now refuses to pair correctly with the ps3. Even with the adapter plugged in, and/or connected via the usb cable, the controller continues to blink 'slowly' but never reaches the 'stable' connection after pressing home repeatedly.

Tried to reset or force the connect via Select+L3 but to no avail.
