If you like rockband and you like country music, you are going to like this.

One thing to keep in mind, that these are the same songs that are included in the country trackpacks 1,2, and 3 that are available via DLC. So if you don't have any this is going to be cheaper. If you already have 1 and 2, then you are much better off just buying the 3rd.

You might also like to know that there is a country 4 trackpack that is available for $14.99 which includes like 8 more country songs. And then there is also some Toby Keith not included in any of the country packs.

I think this is a great game for all those who love country music. Like any rock band game if you can't sing you get booed off stage; so if you have young kids this can get a little discouraging for them. The game has a wide variety of songs that range from old country to newer country. I would love to see another country rock band come out. This game is a little harder I think than regular rock band but still fun to play!

I have been looking for this title for quite a while. I enjoy country music and this package contains some good ones.

The vendor had it to me prior to the estimated date and I was playing quickly.

I bought 2 of these cables. One for my HD cablebox adn the other for my Xbox 360. The cablebox works, fine. My TV won't recognize the Xbox, unless it is on, and on the correct input. Also, if I am playing xbox, and I press imput/source on my my tv to see what's on, and then switch back to the xbox, it restarts the xbox. This doesn't make sense, as the cable should just be relaying info to the tv. I've read online that it's because the cables are cheap and don't have a "switch" in them. Is that true? I have no idea. I do know that for my purposes, $2.00 was the right price and beats paying 40 bucks each for other cables. It's just a wire dipped in plastic.

First, let's clear one thing up and remember that you're playing along to colored notes with a fake plastic instrument, so I don't see how folks can get all upset that the LEGO tie-in makes the game more kid-like. It's charming!

This review is based on playing through the game on Hard lead guitar, with the Rock Band 1 song exports and about 200 DLC songs.

Let's start with the cons:

1. The tracklist is rather brief at 45-songs. You'll be repeating them a lot of you don't have DLC or the RB1 export. If you don't have it already, at least get the latter!

2. No online play, but the randomness of Career Mode (see below) somewhat makes up for that.

3. There appears to be a Crowd Noise volume setting bug, at least on the PS3 version. Despite lowering the crowd noise level to 0, I still hear it.

PROS:

1. Great overall presentation, with compelling and complete LEGO environments, cut scenes, and challenges.

2. Career Mode is tons of fun in that the game continually prompts you to participate in new challenges and setlists, rather than returning you to a selection screen every time. So the element of surprise is always there, as is the opportunity to simply randomly enjoy the core tracks and the DLC/exports you own.

3. The game makes good use of your DLC... for example, I had a surprise 5-song setlist thrown at me and all songs were drawn from my DLC.

4. It's fun to buy bizarre LEGO objects and decorate your band space with them.

5. Extensive stats are available for your band, including 5-starred songs, gold-starred songs, overall playing time, and many others.

6. SAVED SETLISTS. The game has you create 3-song Albums and stores them for future play. These are essentially saved setlists, an oft-requested RB feature ever since RB2 came out. Furthermore, you can edit the Album setlists in your Band Office after you unlock them.

7. SHORT SONGS. OK, this feature apparently applies only to the core game tracks, but if you're concerned that you'll be playing a bunch of songs that only half appeal to your over and over, you can use the Short Songs feature that knocks the track duration down to two minutes or so.

8. Like The Beatles: Rock Band, LRB remembers gameplay settings such as Breakneck Speed, so *you* don't have to remember to turn it on every time a la Rock Band 2.

In summary, the game provides key new features in a fun, surprising environment that allows you to enjoy the new, included songs as well as your exports/DLC in a new way. If the price drops a bit more as seems to regularly happen with LEGO-themed games, that will just make an already great title a real bargain,.

I've been a fan of the Rock Band franchise since it started, and this latest inception is one of my favorites. While keeping a familiar "Rock Band" feel, this one is different enough to keep you playing for hours. There are so many fun parts to the game that Rock Band has missed in the past. One fun thing is the band challenges, where you take turns playing the song while the rest of the group can watch the video action going on behind it. For instance, at one point you have to clear out a haunted house by playing "Ghostbusters" as a team. When it's your turn to play, the rest of the group can watch the band run around in the background being chased by ghosts.

You also get the choice to customize your rock den with cool little additions you win during the gameplay. That's another thing that's fun: you get rewards all the time! New Lego minifigures, weird items, and new instruments are coming at you all the time.

The song list is a lot of fun. It's short, but you have some goodies like "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Kung Fu Fighting", and "We Will Rock You". The gameplay itself seems a lot easier than the usual "Rock Band" fare. I'm a casual player at best. I started playing on medium and was scoring 99 and 100% on every song, where I would usually score low 90's here and there in Rock Band (curse you, Metallica!). Also, the band player customization is a little weak. There aren't that many cool guitars to choose from (you start with 2 choices), though the drum sets are pretty fun. It doesn't have the customization of the usual "Rock Band", but it's still enough to give you an individual feel. As you buy more road crew members, you can choose from their parts as well.

All in all, this is a great buy and a whole lot of fun for everybody. It's a worthy addition to both the Lego franchise (after Lego Batman, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars) and Rock Band. Can't wait to see Lego Rock Band 2!

The Lego-ized presentation of this game isn't to be everyone's cup of tea no matter how well done it is.

BUT...

If you like the song list on here you should know that for an additional $10 you can download all of the tracks from for use on Rock Band 2, just as you could with the songs from Rock Band 1. So if you like the material but prefer the look & play style of RB2 then this is still worth the money.

We've been playing this game for a couple of days now, and it is just loads of fun. I love the Lego tie in. They have a cute story, and you can tell the developers had a blast making this game. Honestly, I can see a Lego Rock Band 2 coming in the future. With a game this fun, there has to be a sequal.

It has a Super Easy mode for youths that want to play, but not fail out as easily. With guitar, for example, you just strum. No need to worry about pressing the right color buttons. Also, it is impossible to get booed off the stage. We tried, but you always come back to "rebuild" your reputation by collecting lego bricks in the same manner as playing the right notes on your instrument. And we really tried to get booed off by all of us playing on Expert. This is nice, because some young children might not like the game if they were booed off for not being able to play.

The list of songs are excellent. There are some songs on here that I've never heard of, but that didn't make them any less fun to play. Although "Ghostbusters" isn't what I would think of as a typical rock band song, my family and I found that playing this tune was totally fun. Just this song alone makes this game worth it!

Once you are done with the game (or even beforehand), you can use the download code and transfer all the songs into Rockband 1 or 2. We bought this for our PS3 instead of the Wii just for this feature and the fact that you can use some downloadable songs in the game. Unfortunately, the Wii version doesn't have any export codes or allow for DLC.

If you're looking for a fun, family game full of music and good times, then this purchase is definitely worth it.

Even though my preferred genre is metal, this game is the most fun I've had with plastic instraments in a long time! I grew up with legos as one of my favorite things top play with, now the characters come alive to a great song setlist (around 45 songs). The story (career) mode is a hoot, where at one time you have a challenge to tear down a house, or spook out some ghosts to the theme of "ghostbusters". The animation is quite amusing, and you unlock a ton of bonus extras going through the career. The notes are tiny legos also, very neat in keeping with the theme. I would recommend this for as a christmas gift before the Rock Band Beatles anyday. Must have for families who like to play music games.

We purchased Disney Sing It Pop Hits for our Daughter because she loved the first Disney Sing It and still plays it quite often after a couple years of owning it. This new and improved version has 30 songs total. In my opinion 25 of the songs are good and 5 are not so good. There are a lot of cool things about this new version has like being able to sing solo, as a duet or comtete head to head in multiplayer mode. You can play with 1 player or even up to 8 players total. The Sing It Pro mode will help teach you proper breathing and pitch techniques as well as how to riff and harmonize. There is also the ability to record your performances and play them back later, complete with video if you have the playstation eye. It has unlockable wallpapers and themes in order to make the game look the most visually appealing to you. It's a really cool game, I only wish it had more songs on it. Maybe they will offer more songs for download via the playstation store in the future. As of 12/24/09 there are no additional downloadable songs yet on the PSN Network

I read the reviews from people with HDTV's who could not sync the mike with the action on screen. I thought I'd have a whack at it myself, as my girls love the stars and songs featured in this game. Unfortunately I had the same results, a sound delay of a half second or more when singing in the microphone. It ruins the game and there is NO fix for the problem.

I called the Sony PS3 tech support: No idea how to fix the problem.

I called Disney Interactive: No idea how to fix the problem.

I tried hooking up component cables instead of HDMI: No effect

Looked for a modification I could make in the game setup menu: None exists for this issue.

It's too bad. The videos are top notch and the songs are great, but the game is simply unplayable on an HDTV. PURCHASE THIS GAME AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BE PREPARED FOR THE PAIN OF PACKING IT UP AND SENDING IT RIGHT BACK!

Now I have to ask... I am using state of the art equipment with a state of the art recently released game. How in the HECK did the tech wizards at Disney let this glitch get past them without realizing that the game is unplayable???

Gamers will recognize structural elements from Bioshock, which, to my mind, is a very good thing. Here, however, the stealth mechanics work flawlessly, and your magical abilities aren't simply various weapons. Rather, the mechanics allow you to teleport short distances, see through walls (a la Batman, Deus Ex, Assassin's Creed, etc) and inhabit animals and other humans. Not only are these mechanics just cool, they allow you to attack objectives in a multiplicity of ways. DISHONORED is thus a game that can sustain at least a few play throughs.

TIPS:

Get Dark Vision Immediately.

Then Upgrade Blink to level 2.

Then upgrade Agility to 1, as your ability to jump higher will enable higher blinks. Agility 2 is useless.

Then get Bend time. Then STOP time. Stop time costs 8 runes, and it's worth it--especially when you want to kill Tall Boys.

My only gripe would be that the game seems to punish you for being what you are--an assassin-as killing just a moderate amount of people (in video game reality, obviously) leads to the "dark" ending. To that I ask, who hired the Church Lady as a designer on this thing? I did my best to spare non-combatants, yet the game still seems to take a dim view of killing. And I won't give anything away, but the "dark" ending is not satisfying. I was hoping for at least something bittersweet, like the end of The Searchers.

There's also no barometer to give you real-time data on how much "chaos" you're creating. However, you do get your stats at the end of a mission. So if you're going for the no-kill play through, you ca re-do that mission if you accidentally killed someone. (Unlike Deus Ex, which kept you guessing until the end--Lame.)

It would be good to have some "chaos" gradations in this game. Therefore, you could have a play through with

1. a normal ending (you killed a lot of guys because you're a badasss and they got in your way) but spared civilians, knocked out people when you could and weren't a complete psycho),

2. an ending where you were one of the Super Friends (you killed very few people).

3. a REALLY twisted ending where you played through as a complete homicidal maniac--killing everyone and their pets without compunction and without mercy and often without reason except because there's something wrong with you.

However, I simply played how I wanted--with a fairly strict scorched Earth policy--and watched the "happy" ending on YouTube. Maybe I'll do a no-kill play through at some later point.

But this is pretty nit-picky. Playing the game is really fun. I'm just a little irritated by the end (if you didn't get that).

In conclusion, if you dig first person stealth action games with broad (though not strictly open) worlds, buy this game. It's great.

I just finished a stealth playthrough of the game. To me, it was a somewhat frustrating experience, but still fun. I wanted the good ending, so I killed as few people as possible, but I did resort to direct combat at times.

Attacking people directly is not only quicker, but there is also a more satisfying array of options. The game gives you many lethal weapons, such as guns, traps and the ability to reprogram any enemy technology to target bad guys instead. There are also powers that allow you to summon rats that devour your enemies and whirlwinds that slam them into walls.

In stealth mode, there aren't very many ways to incapacitate the guards. There are crossbow bolts that put people to sleep, and you can sneak up behind people and knock them out, but that's about it. The option to knock people out does not always work as planned, either, and, even if the prompt comes up on screen, Corvo will sometimes raise his knife to block instead, usually right before the guard turns and sees you creepily standing behind him, which understandably freaks him out.

In a nutshell, if you're still deciding which way to play, stealth offers the good ending, and violence offers gameplay fluidity.

One decision I thought was strange was that the game always had Corvo carry a knife in his right hand, even if you are doing a nonviolent playthrough and even when you are only attempting to use a stealth skill such as blink. I never used the knife, but it was always there, in a space that could have been occupied by more useful abilities or equipment.

The area levels are relatively open, compared to some of the more linear games that are out nowadays, but it's difficult to fully appreciate your surroundings in a stealth playthrough. At some points, I just wanted to walk around and look at the city, which had a watercolor aesthetic I really liked, but guards are everywhere, and you have to get rid of all of them before you can explore openly.

I did not let that keep me from doing sidequests, though. I am very much a completionist, so I tried to explore all the areas fully before I left. There are many sidequests that don't even show up in your journal until you find a specific area, like saving a woman who's surrounded by rats or protecting an accused witch from overzealous guards, which helps with replayability. It was also fun to find the runes that upgrade your abilities and listen to the Outsider's (the guy who gives you your powers) take on in-game events.

Though I tried to be as thorough as possible, and though I played stealth mode, which is inherently time-consuming, I finished the game in about eight hours. The story was a little formulaic, and the only characters who were really interesting were Granny Rags and the Outsider. I did like the audiographs, though, which important characters used to record their private thoughts (Sometimes too private, actually. If I was feeling guilty about murdering someone, I probably wouldn't record myself saying so.)

Another thing that offers insight into the world is the heart the Outsider gives you, which can tell you more about characters and places in the game. The heart has a really cool voice and sometimes says interesting things about important NPC's. I was especially shocked at what it said about Piero, the scientist who upgrades your equipment at the Hound Pits Pub. Unfortunately, minor NPCs with similar backgrounds all have the same descriptions, like 'she hides her hands, which are red and raw from work,' will be a description for all women who aren't nobles or major NPCs.

The tall boys, which were featured heavily in advertisements, show up very late in the game, and, as far as I could tell, there's no way to incapacitate them without killing them, which was annoying. There was an interesting tidbit in one of the books at Lady Boyle's party, though, which made them way more interesting and sympathetic.

Despite my negativity in this review, I did like the game enough to give it three stars. I enjoyed playing a new IP, and I actually do like stealth games most of the time. Dishonored offers a lot of unique ways to get around without being seen, like possessing animals and stopping time, and it was fun to play with all the different options. The more destructive powers look promising too. Usually I can't stand to play the darker path, but for this game I'll try to give it a go so I can try out all the abilities.

I pre-ordered this game months ago, and I think it was worth it. It was exciting to play something so new and different, even if there were a few flaws. Dishonored is hard to fit in one category, so I'm not sure how to recommend it to others, but hopefully this review will help anyone on the fence about buying the game.

This game was pretty cool and kind of a refreshing play, mainly do to the fact that the player has options about how he or she wants to go about undertaking the game! You can go full bore and just kill everyone, or there is ways to sneak around, and you can also render guards unconsious if you would rather instead of killing them. On my first time through, I experimented with several different ways of doing things and I tried out all the various different weapons & abilities, just to get a taste of everything and find out how I most preferred going about things.

I only had one main gripe about the game, and it was an ever so small annoyance too: Occasionally trying to chose a weapon or skill from the wheel, (especially as you earn more abilities & such) was sometimes a bit glitchy. For example, there were times later in the game that I was trying to chose my pistol with the regular shots over this one with explosive rounds and it would give me the pistol with the explosive rounds, and so on. It was a slight bit frustrating, but fortunately that only happened every once in a while.

The game was a little shorter than I was expecting, but then again it would seem short, especially after playing on a game like Skyrim off & on throughout many months. So don't let that deter you, because the game is actually a decent length...I'd say roughly around 15 hours. And just because I had no life for 2 days and sat on my arse & played it throughout much of release day and the following Wednesday, lulz.

I'd say definitely play it though! If you like stealth & action mixed in one game with all sorts of player options throughout the game, then I highly recommend checking this game out! I for one plan to play through it at least a couple more times eventually and try out different means of getting through the game...first time through was just a trial play to get a feel for everything. Next time I'm going to get down to business! Check this one out fellow gamers! I love a good stealth/assassin game! Looking forward also to Assassin's Creed III and Hitman: Absolution!

After having this game on pre-order for months, I was thrilled with I finally got to play it. I was surprised to see there wasn't a ton of back-story in the game. Usually with games like this, you have to sit through 10 minutes of game story screens before you even start to play. So I was happy to jump right in and get started.

Graphics: 7 out of 10

The graphics were good, but by no means spectacular. What made them good was the items in the game itself were interesting to look at. Menacing Tall-Boys, abandoned buildings, artwork and such gave the game a colonial dark-age feel, but the actual detail of the final thing was a little less than mind blowing. The graphics of the city itself could have been better than it was. What was supposed to appear as a large, wide open city, instead it felt more like an enclosed island, with no other outside world.

Story: 8 out of 10

Protector turns assassin, when the empress he's charged with protecting is killed and the murder is blamed on him. After escaping jail on the eve of your execution, you begin to help a group of loyalists find the missing heir to the throne, the empresses daughter. She was taken by the same men who killed her mother, and framed you for her murder. You're charged with tasks, each one different than the others. Some involve finding documents, some finding people. The game plays out much like the game inFamous, where you chose either an evil path or a good one. Depending on how many people you kill during your missions, the city and story line changes accordingly. The game actually had a fairly predictable ending, which can change depending on how you reach to it.

Violence: 7 of 10

Not as much as many of the games out there. And not nearly as much as I thought there would be. The game previews made it look like the main goal was to go around killing everyone, but in actuality it's the opposite. You are rewarded with points at the end of each mission, and extra points are given for not killing people. While the story-line of the game makes you think you're an assassin out for revenge, the goal is actually to hurt as few people as possible along the way. You are rewarded more greatly for doing so. It's also much harder to complete the missions with out hurting anyone. Your enemies are out to kill you, and if they see you, come out in large numbers and attack. To complete each mission without violence takes a lot of work, but it's encouraged through out the whole game.

Game length: Medium-Long

The game took several days to complete and that was playing many hours each day, on the average difficulty level. It would have even taken longer had I spent the time to explore the game thoroughly, and tried to complete it without killing anyone. At one point I felt like the game was even getting a little too long, and I was ready to be at the end. I believe that was because at one point in the game, you are lead to believe you have completed it, when actually you are only about 2/3 of the way through.

Gameplay: 8 of 10

While the game starts out a bit slow, it picks up as you go along. Gaining magical powers and finding ways to use them really increases the fun in the gameplay. The more you use the powers, the better you get at using them. Physical weapons are minimal, but fun. They work well for the time frame this game is supposed to be set in. Pistols, swords and crossbows are your main weapons. You can also stealthily sneak up on enemies, and knock them out, so that you're not killing them, but disabling them as a threat so you can continue with your mission. One of the two most ominous foes in the game are the Tall-Boys, a soldier in a mean looking mechanical suite, with a powerful cannon attached that he shoots people with. You know when they're coming for you, since each step they take shakes the ground around you as they get closer. The second enemy is one you don't suspect, the rats in the streets. They come out of nowhere and attack at random times. They move in on a subject in a large swarm, and actually eat the person they attack, if they aren't able to get away first. The game does a good job of focusing on a main goal, and not jumping around so much that it makes following the story-line difficult.

Hidden items and how they work:

There are important items stashed all over the city for you to find. Some of these items give you new, much needed magical powers, some are just coins to buy things with, or extra supplies of health of magic power refills. There are books and papers everywhere, and reading them can give you even more back-story to the game, not included in the regular scenes. They offer clues on where to find hidden things, passwords to locked safes hidden throughout the game, and lots of background as to who people are you meet in the game. You are given a heart as a tool, and when you equip it, it will direct you to where many of these hidden items are. It can also tell you what the a game character is really thinking, or information on deeds from their past.

Conclusion:

While the game started out a little slow, and first impressions made me think it was too similar to the gameplay of inFamous, the rest of the game proved to me it was one of a kind. I liked that the game was set in the era of the black plague, and that much of the story line was based off the repercussions of the illness affecting the whole city. Game load times were acceptable, and glitches and lagging were pretty much non-existent, which was a relief, since Bethesda games have had issues with them in the past. While the previews make the game out to be all about getting revenge and killing as many people as you can, there's actually a lot more to it. The game actually encourages you to try and take the more difficult rout, a non-lethal approach. Plenty of hours of gameplay, and lots of hidden things to find along the way. The graphics were acceptable, but had they been better, it could have made Dishonored even better. It's a sold 4 star game, has replay-ability, since you'll likely want to do a play-though seeing the story line for both the good and the evil choices you can make.

Want Dishonored Discount?

First, I have to add the caveat that I typically HATE first person action games. I find the first person perspective to be incredibly disorienting and difficult to control. This becomes particularly problematic during sequences of intense action or where intricate stunts are required. I always feel like I have blinders strapped on that limit peripheral vision and create a confusing and claustrophobic game experience.

However I love steam-punk and dystopian story concepts and felt compelled to give Dishonored a try despite the first person POV.

I was not disappointed. Though the story starts out as a simple stereotypical quest-fest wherein some random NPC you just met starts barking orders at you which you dutifully jump to fulfill, the story eventually evolves into an intricate plot that carries you through a depressing and troubled though hauntingly beautiful realm afflicted with numerous plagues, both biological and political in nature.

Each mission is elegantly constructed and features numerous possible solutions. By numerous I do not mean that there are two or even three ways to complete your objectives I mean there are at LEAST three, probably more, ways to approach each target. This represents what must have been a painstakingly intricate process for the game's developers. The payoff is a game unlike any other in terms of its potential for player ingenuity and personal style. Literally, it is staggering to consider how many different paths are available to you.

The interesting thing about Dishonored is that you can complete the entire game without killing anyone. It's difficult especially if you try to beat the game while maintaining a flawless "ghost" achievement wherein you not only kill no one, but you perform zero non-lethal take-downs as well. One must make expert use of the available skills your character possess and be extremely patient but this option of game play is a strategic mastermind's paradise. Political targets can be taken down without assassinating them. Removing targets from power instead takes a much more political and therefore narratively more interesting tactic, thus allowing the player to become the author of some extremely rewarding plot twists.

Unlike most first person action games, the stealthy nature of game play and the specific powers available to you makes game play smooth and easy to master. The lack of peripheral perception that hampers most first person POV games does nothing to lessen your character's potential here.

But the real star of Dishonored isn't the story or the elegant game mechanics. It is the world itself. The story takes place within the city of Dunwall, which in addition to being in the grip of an illegitimate totalitarian regime is also beset with a deadly plague. The scenery, attitudes of the populace, and overall environmental tone of the game drives Dishonored. It is this prevailing pessimistic sense of doom amid a world that is yet full of wealth, privilege, and beauty that creates such a memorable and mesmerizing game experience. The illusion that this world is real and in the absolute darkest of times is so absolutely convincing and masterfully handled that the initial quest-fest feel and the occasional in-congruent hazard (there are these weird acid-spitting plants that pop up every now and then which are totally inappropriate for the rest of the game) is quickly forgiven.

The music and stylized graphics also serve to help Dishonored stand out among the myriad of new releases hitting stores this season. Although skeptical at first, I have to recommend Dishonored to any player seeking a unique and breathtakingly gorgeous game experience. This one is definitely a work of art.

The first thing that I noticed about this headset which makes it stand out by far is the comfort. The ear cushions are made of an extremely soft fabric that have a smooth "pillow-like" feel when they're on your ears. Inside the cushions is some sort of memory foam that isn't as firm as the padding in most headsets that I've tried in the past. Another very important feature is the overall weight. I've used these for several continuous hours while I'm at work with no strain on my ears. Although these are not advertised as noise cancelling headphones, they perform just as good if not better at blocking out noise than some actual noise canceling headphones that I've owned in the past. Its also nice not having to keep an eye on battery life like I did for those previous noise canceling sets.

The sound quality is fantastic for handling songs with lots of bass. I tend to play around with the equalizer on my music players to really make the bass hit hard, and these can handle my strenuous adjustments very well, which is VERY VERY important to me. If I crank the volume enough to where it feels like the headphones/earpads are actually vibrating themselves on my ears and have no distortion, then they definitely get 5 stars for performance in my book. The volume adjustment wheel is also a very nice feature for when I'm blasting my ears out at work and someone taps me on my shoulder. Its perfect because I typically don't want to remove my headphones while they're blasting so people don't know what I'm listening to or how deaf they think I will be in the next 10 years. So now instead of fumbling for my mouse to find the volume adjustments on my media player, I can just lower the volume on the actual headphones while I'm about to take them off. PERFECT!!!

The headset comes with a very compact carry case which works perfectly for going to and from work to home. If you're considering getting these headphones, I would highly recommend you get the entire gaming bundle which allows you to use these on Xbox Live. It's also PS3 online compatible for all you PS3 users. This is when the retractable microphone comes into play. It's fully adjustable and can be positioned in literally any direction that you want. The Negotiator adapter mounts onto the bottom of your Xbox 360 controller similar to how the old school Xbox mics were designed. I hate how most volume controls for other headsets are attached somewhere on the cable where they dangle around and get snagged up on anything and everything. The Negotiator has a game volume/chat volume mixer that is right at your fingertips while playing.

Overall, these are great headphones that are extremely versatile, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for quality sound performance for in office use and home gaming use without having to shell out hundreds of dollars.

Temptation from its sleek and sophisticated design is what initially caught my attention while researching headsets online. I love playing music and games for extended periods of time and tend to use a headset all day at work. I decided to try, "The Specialist," to see if its product features match up to its pretty face.

Here's what makes it not just something nice to look at and actually something quite special:

First, the comfortability of the headset is amazing. Feels like soft pillows on my ears while in the middle of a warzone in enemy territory.

Second, the circular star shaped buttons on the side are a convenient feature for quick volume and mic control. No one wants to have to pause the game to adjust the volume and lose an arm or match in the process.

Third, sound quality is crisp and REAL. I can listen to anything from jazz to punk rock, my sister on Skype, and Nazi Zombie K-9s, without losing the sound quality of the instruments, my sister, or the bark.

Fourth, the headset folds up to fit nicely into its own carrying case, which makes it great to tag along with you anywhere, i.e. plane rides, trains, buses, roadtrips, camping, long lines at theme parks, etc....

Lastly, "The Specialist," is all I could have asked for from Nox to provide in a multimedia playing headset. Just wish it came in blizzard pearl, periwinkle, or pink...I'm just saying!

Built for extended wear and long hours of gaming/music playing/online chatting, I wouldn't mind falling asleep in its pillowed earphones after a long night of Halo in the barricades.

i bought this item for 30 dollars and its a great fantastic deal for that amount the sound quality is amazing but my only boggle with these is you have to buy an adapter to hook it to your ps3 or xbox i wish it would come included but oh well good price for a good headset.

I love the sound quality and compactness. Durability is left to be desired, however I don't blame that on the product itself. I would pay a premium for a bit of childproof-ness, and extra measure for my own errors. By my experience, the hinges at the end of the stems are most vulnerable.

These headphones are perfect! Full, rich deep sounds with a retractable mic. If you own the headphones only, installation should be quick and simple. If you own the negotiator adapter, installation becomes a little more complicated. The sturdy build of these headphones should ensure any owner that their made to last. My only problem with them is that unlike the Turtle Beach Headset, you can't hear yourself speak in-game, causing you at times to shout without knowing it.

This is going to be a short review on Quantum Of Solace released in 2008 the same year as the movie. You also deal with the plot from Casino Royale. You play as Bond portrayed by Daniel Craig this time. The 1st 3 levels deal with Quantum Of Solace you & this girl named Camille go after Dominic Greene & General Madrano. The levels in between are The Casino Royale missions then the last level is pretty much what you have at the end of Quantum Of Solace. The combat system is good much better than Bloodstone. It uses a 3rd person prespective when you go behind cover the weapon selection is pretty good. I'm going through this pretty quickly cause I covered this game in 2009 on my other account. The controls are great it follows the movie as good as it can. Short review but if you want a more in depth review go to ny older account & look for it you'll have to back track a lot back to summer 09 if you want to read it. Next I will review Bloodstone.

This plays just like Skate 2, it even takes joking nods at it's predecessors flaws like when the annoying camera man from the previous two games hands the camera to a new guy and says, "don't talk a lot, they hate it when you talk." They've also replaced the infuriating s-k-a-t-e (horse clone) game with a much more respectable who-can-get-the-highest-score game. The new editor is fabulous, but I couldn't find any way to invite friends to my skate park. What's the point of being able to design a park if you can't ride around in it with friends? The redesigned multiplayer is nice, but it's not really different from the previous skate 2 multiplayer accept the points are linked. You can't ride around in free-mode with friends, you have to hope from location to location just like before. It would be nice to see a giant MMO-like setting. The only time the game comes close is actually in single player. When you add friends, their avatar will pop into your single player game randomly as a computer AI.

Here's where EA ruins the show. A lot of people are complaining about this new money-making strategy that EA is doing where if you want to use the online features you have to buy a $10 activation add-on. The people who buy the game brand new get their very own copy, but that means people who buy the game used have to shell out extra money to play online. That's just something to know if you're buying this game used.

One more thing. Shortly after I got Skate 3, and I got to about 1.5 million boards, my PS3 broke and I bought a new one. I tried to transfer my save file to the new PS3 but EA doesn't feel that I am capable of doing that so they locked it down. Even copying over the save file from a backup didn't work which is disturbing. I loaded up skate 3 and the game went black and wouldn't load anything (on my new PS3). I know it has some strict online features, but couldn't they just link the save file with the online id as I sign in? That would be a lot more responsible than ruining hours and hours of work.

In short: This game is fantastic, it fixes most of the flaws, but it doesn't really improve on much. The editor is nice, but lonely, and whatever you do don't let your PS3 break. '_'

First reviewer said it best. This is the best SKATE yet. Levels are HUUUUUGE, the tricks are improved, the walking around is better, the build a park is great. The graphics are simply amazing, too. Couldn't be more pleased with this game. Gotta get it!

I really enjoy playing this game. Its a fun game to play with a bunch of your friends on Play 3. The only thing I didn't like about this game is having to teleport to different districts in the city. I enjoy being able to ride through the whole city like in skate and skate 2, but overall its a great game to buy if you like skateboarding games.

I just got my copy of Skate 3 today and had to play it right away. So I have now been playing it all day and I can safely say that this is the best Skate game out there. It surpasses Skate 1 & 2 by so much.

There are endless new and improver features available in the 3rd Skate. The skate park builders are fantastic, the new trick are to die for, the Hall of meat is the best there is and the graphics and the whole new maps are Amazing.

Buy this game if you love skateboarding or just buy it if you like games in general!

Skate 3 is definitely the best skating game I've ever played. It has every feature a game should have, from a skatepark creator to a very detailed environment, skate 3 has it. I purchased this item at the end of August for $60 and it was worth every penny. It is one of the few games I will never trade in, just because there are endless possibilities. I still play the game today. The story mode of the game is possibly the best part. The challenges that you must complete are great, it has every thing from races to photo shoots. For every challenge you complete you sell a certain number of boards, the goal being 1 million. I also have played the online quite extensively, and I can say that the people that play it are very nice, unlike COD players. I have had a great amount of fun downloading Skate parks from people and playing them for hours, many players are quite creative. Overall definitely my favorite skating game, and one of my favorite games of all time.

This HEADSET is slightly adjustable and works very well with the PS3. They are rather small but comfortable. The reason I felt the need to capitalize HEADSET is because that's exactly what they are. They are not headphones, so stereo sound is not an option, and it is not an earpiece like you would use for a cell phone. I must clarify it is NOT an earpiece, as some pictures on the item's page can be misleading. It is a HEADSET, charged with a supplied USB cable.

These headsets(like most for the PS3) only offer sound & communication with others that have headsets/phones/earpieces. This is important, as the only way to hear other game noises is though the TV or another set of headphones. Any headphones for all game sounds must be connected through your TV, as currently they are not recognized by the PS3(unless there's a way I'm not familiar with). Since they are constantly updating, this may change in the future.

As an online gamer the headset is perfect in mostly every way that counts. First, my PlayStation 3 identified it right away. Some gamers might have to go through a System Update (version 2.50 or later) for the quick automatic pairing as well as the headset status indicator that appears on screen. In no time, you'll have the headset working. Then, you can start setting up the volume. As you're playing a game you can either mute the mic or talk to a friend you know. Overall I recommend anyone to use this headset because its simple to use and it's durable.

pros: 8 hours of use before recharging the headset.

fast and easy to pair up with your PlayStation 3 and most new phones.

cons:It can become just a tad uncomfortable for very long periods of use.

i would rate it 9.5/10.

This has to be the worst ps3 headset ever invented. I would get hardly any playtime out of this headset, after charging it for hours (usually 2-3) and the volume wouldnt work at all. I had lots of complaints that people couldnt understand what I was saying, and after only 3 months, it stopped working all together. Would not charge or turn on. BAD! Had paid $40 at the time from Bestbuy for it, and now they dont carry it... wonder why...

You can't tell from the package photo, but this is a one-ear affair. To call that a "gaming" headset, when stereo is essential for many FPS encounters, is a joke.

Note: There are additions to the review below my original review.

--------------------------------------------------

I wanted to provide a review, but I see that most of the others have already addressed most of what this game is all about. This review is based off of the "Deluxe Edition," which differs from the regular edition in that it includes an official strategy guide and a slip cover case that houses the game and strategy guide. The game is exactly the same in both versions.

Demon's Souls is a worthwhile experience in itself, and I highly urge any who are on the fence about it to at least give it a rental. It's a game that one will need to play through more than once in order to feel as though the game has been completed. Read other reviews for details into all of the aspects of the game.

I am going to focus my attention on the "extras" provided with the deluxe version. Is the strategy guide worth the extra $10? As somebody who did not play the import versions of Demon's Souls (many people here have), I can safely endorse the purchase of the deluxe version in order to get the strategy guide. For one, it's beautiful. There was much effort in organizing the art and text in a concise and useful way. It's very easy on the eyes. Each walkthrough section has pictures to go along with the walkthrough instructions, which is helpful. It runs 159 pages and is as big as the game case not bulky at all. Even though it is small, it does not look or feel cheaply made. Here are the topics considered in the table of contents:

Introduction, Class & Gender, Character Building Guide, Survival Guide, Non-Player Characters, Merchants, Living Body and Soul Form, World Tendency and Character Tendency, Demon's Souls Usage, Magic Guide, Weapons Guide, Weapons Upgrades, Armor, Rings, Items, Enemies, Crystal Lizards, Quirks & Tricks, Trophy Guide, Online Mode Guide, Leveling Guide, Walkthrough (Worlds 1-5), End Game, Perfect Run Walkthrough

There are a couple drawbacks to the strategy guide. Demon's Souls has been out for awhile in Japan, Korea and China. This means that there are already plenty of online resources that discuss just about everything provided in the paperback guide. The guide does not provide illustrated maps of each level, which would have been icing on the cake. This is especially true since the game does not have any sort of mapping system. It would have been nice if the guide were a bit fatter more detailed descriptions but sufficed to say, this is a small gripe considering that all items, weapons, rings, monsters, and NPCs got descriptions and pictures to go along with them. It's a blessing and a curse because there is always a want for more content, but an efficient guide is also desirable. This strategy guide is efficient to say the least.

Again, I recommend the "Deluxe Version" even though the only real difference is the strategy guide. If you have no need for a tangible guide then there are online resources that definitely match the content. However, the guide is organized, in full color, and there are pictures that go along with the walkthroughs, items, monsters and other aspects of the game. Most online walkthroughs/guides I have looked at do not provide these things, and the ones that do are not in the same league as the guide provided with the deluxe version.

In summary, the guide is NOT necessary, but it is useful and convenient. Hope this helps!

--------------------------------------------------

*Edit: A few additions to the review. It was brought to my attention that the cover of the guide, most noticeably the spine, fades easily. I found that both the spine and front cover have begun that process.

The information in the guide is still very good. However, after much use of the walkthrough I can honestly say that it's not as extensive as I initially thought it was. It covers the essentials for getting main items and tackling bosses, but it does not cover most items that can be found in each level it does note which levels all items are located, but the walkthrough section skips over where to find them. The walkthrough also minimizes boss battles in some cases and I found myself deviating heavily from the boss guide. Again, it's still a very good guide overall, but do not expect it to have an answer for everything in the game. If you want to get the main, most powerful items, this guide is definitely for you.

I know a lot of people are on the fence about getting this, just as I was, so I will explain my habits and how I feel about the difficulty .

When it comes to hard games I get a temper, I become easily frustrated, frequently yell at the screen, and on more then one occasion have almost thrown the controller across the room. Have you ever played Ninja Gaiden 2 on xbox 360? I think most consider it a very difficult game. I can't stand the game. The difficulty has me screaming at the screen in less then 5 mins.

I consider Demon's Souls to be the hardest game I have ever played, much harder then Ninja Gaiden. Each time you die you loose all your saved souls (cash/experience). Many enemy's can kill you in two hits. You will be ambushed frequently, dieing many times. You will be roasted by dragons. Many times you'll die in places where you can't reach your body to reclaim the souls. On top of all this there is no pause button (This one annoys me. Everyone has to take bio breaks). I know this sounds frustrating, but it's not. What i have just described is what makes the game fun. If this game were easy it would suck. For the record I have yet to yell at the screen and as I previously stated, I'm a "yeller".

You have to go into the game accepting that it's hard. Why is this fun? Every time you level it really means something. Every time you successfully beat a demon it means something. Every time you avoid the ambush and slaughter all of your attackers it makes you feel great. When you finally learn the level and can run around without much fear of dieing, it's a huge accomplishment. Each time you advance your character just a tiny bit you'll feel like you accomplished something. There is no hand holding in this game. When your character increases his stats, learns a new spell, upgrades his weapon or armor, it's from your hard work. You'll just have to trust me (and the other reviewers), this really makes the game GREAT.

If you are on the fence...I recommend buying this now. If you have to choose b/w this or Uncharted 2 (coming out tomorrow), chose Demon's Souls. With all the hype around Uncharted 2, I feel 100% comfortable telling you to buy Demon's Souls first.

With that said here are a few tips that helped me (SPOILERS to some):

1. I found Royals and Temple Knights to be great first characters.

2. When you start in level 1-1, approach every enemy like you will die. Plan ahead. Make sure you won't get to many adds on you.

3. I found a spear to be a great first weapon. The Temple Knights halbred is fantastic as well. You can buy the spear in 1-1 from a vendor you will discover. I recommend doing so immediately if you start as a Royal.

4. Learn to use your shield. It will save you more then turning and running. Get in a corner and "turtle" if you have to.

5. Learn to parry then riposte. When you get this down you'll kill most enemy's in 1 hit.

6. The Red Eye Knight in 1-1 will kill you instantly. Lure him across the walkway with the catapults and down the stairs. There is a place with 2 barrels next to each other. Don't destroy them. When the knight is coming for you, stand around the corner just past the barrels and he should fall and die.

7. When you save up enough souls go back to the nexus and use them. The level will restart, but you'll be stronger.

8. Stay in 1-1 until you can defeat it easily. Then try 2-1, 3-1, 4-1 etc.

9. For the last boss in 1-1, save the firebombs you collect. Use them against the minions guarding the boss. If you have a halbred, coat it with turpentine (fire) and go to town.

Edit:

10. Expect to die when exploring a new area, fighting a boss or going against a named black phantom NPC. Don't go into these fights with 100,000 souls saved cause they will be lost.

11. KEEP this in mind when you start: There's an item in 2-2 you want but requires the world to be pure black. It's called the Talisman of Beasts. This item lets you use both miracles and spells without changing wands/talismans. Every time you are revived go to 2-1 and kill yourself. This will make the world darker (harder). When you kill the 2-1 boss, kill yourself before returning to the nexus. When the world is pure black, go kill Black Phantom Scirvir. Pick up the Talisman. Commit Suicide. Go kill the primevil demon under the building with the guys throwing rocks. Now you can return to the nexus and World 2 will be white again.

12. You get the Black stone when you kill your first Black Phantom NPC. This will probably be in 3-1. At this point you can be invaded by player Black Phantoms when you are in living form unless you're in offline mode (log out from Sony network).

13. IN 3-2. VERY Important. You'll see a platform with several lights, blue red yellow etc. There is a guy hanging in a cage named Yurt. If you release him and let him go he'll eventually return to the nexus and murder all the NPC's. He drops good armor so release him then kill him immediately.

14. In 1-1 you'll meet someone named Ostrava. He has an ongoing quest that continues to 1-2, then 1-3. If Ostrava dies at any point be sure you're there to pick up his key. He annoyed me so I offed him when he appeared in 1-3.

The video shows the unboxing of the Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition. Enjoy!

My Review. So I have just put a good solid 5 hours or so into this game and it's hard lol. But that's what makes it great! I love the challenge those far and it proves to challenge the minds of gamers to come up with different strategies after death.I'll go over a few categories of the game and once I finish the game I'll write a final review on the game!

Gameplay: 4/5

The gameplay is great and easy. You use the trigger buttons for combat, blocking, parrying and for powerful strikes! There is a lock on system that works well and targets the closest enemy to you. The d-pad is my only (nit picky) gripe in which your items and weapons are displayed. You push down on the d-pad to cycle through your items but can't go back to an item you passed instead you must cycle through them again to find it. The combat is great so far and my favorite part is actually dodging! It's easy to do and works very effectively and if you perform it perfectly after a foe throws a strike he's wide open for a nice back stab and the illustration of this is awesome!!!

Presentation: 5/5

This game is so beautiful! I have been catching myself stopping on the edge of towers, cliffs, bridges etc....just to view the scenery in the background the mountains, sky and forests are all so detailed it's gorgeous. The blood stains on the ground brings the creepy vibe of the game together well and the Soul forms of real playing gamers looks great!

Online: Haven't explored yet

I have yet to invade or help out another player but once I get the chance I'll write about the experience

Overall: 4/5 ATM once I finish the game I'll write a full review. Till then please enjoy the unboxing vid!! Take care and have a great day!!

Read Best Reviews of Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition Here

An action-RPG that prides itself on its difficulty, Demon's Souls is not a game for the faint-hearted. However, for a player willing to overcome a few hardships, Demon's Souls is a well-made, well-executed, highly enjoyable game.

Demon's Souls' basic gameplay is hack-and-slash similar to The Legend of Zelda or Kingdom Hearts, i.e. you swing your sword, block with your shield, roll, dodge, and so on. However, Demon's Souls has much higher stakes your character can die in 2 or 3 hits, for one. Enemies telegraph attacks well enough, and are generally as weak as you are in health terms, so it's at least fair in that regard. It's less that the game is hard directly, and more that the game is unforgiving of carelessness; charging at an enemy as though they can be easily dispatched, like you would in most action games, usually ends up with your death.

There's a fairly wide level of customization available in terms of gameplay choices, though. Souls are the game's currency, and are obtained from every enemy defeated. They are used to buy stat upgrades, spells, weapons, armor, and items. In essence, you have a fairly wide set of choices available in terms of how you play the game as a direct fighter, as a lightly-equipped archer, or as a supporting magic-user. Your class influences your starting stats, but there are very few class-based limitations in terms of equipment and spells. As long as you've upgraded your stats to the right level, you can use almost anything.

There is some difference in terms of what weapons are used, so there's at least a lot of diversity in terms of your character's development. In addition to enemy weaknesses, the weapons in the game also take how the weapon is used into account. Most directly, walls and corridors will make it impossible to swing a weapon a problem if you're using a giant sword and can't get the room necessary to swing it. Generally, stabbing weapons like spears and rapiers are useful in close-range areas, while the giant swings of greatswords and polearms are useful in wide-open areas. It's possible to wield weapons one-handed or two-handed; it's also possible to dual wield weapons, to varying levels of effectiveness. The two kinds of ranged weapon are bows and crossbows: the former can be aimed manually, but requires two hands, while the latter must be locked on automatically, but can be used with a shield.

Death in Demon's Souls is frequent, and comes with a few penalties. Upon death you become a ghost, with only 50% of your normal HP (though this is raised to 75% by an item found early on, which is much more tolerable). When you die, you lose all your current souls (but not items or abilities), but if you can get back to the spot you died in and touch your body, you can at least recover it. There are a few ways to recover your body, the most common of which is beating a boss while in spirit form. However, it's often not worth it you can only beat a given boss once, and it's fairly easy to die afterwards to some simple trap or surprise attack. And given the number of things that are trying to kill you soldiers, monsters, dragons, rolling balls, pit traps, and the occasional explosion care should be taken at basically every opportunity.

The game's multiplayer is probably its most innovative feature; rather than a direct sort of "join someone else's game" feature, Demon's Souls is more like a persistent online world where you can only occasionally interact with other people. The most common online interaction is messages. These messages are assembled from premade parts ("look out for the ____ ahead", etc.) and left on the ground near whatever they're talking about. Any player can put down a message, regardless of content, so it can be used to help people ("there's a trap ahead", "don't trust this guy") or to hinder them ("if you jump down into this bottomless pit you'll get some treasure"). Trustworthy messages can be recommended; recommending a message provides the player who put it down with an instant full-heal something that's not to be sneezed at, especially during boss fights. Therefore, it's to the player's advantage to put down helpful notes, and the game is certainly hard enough to warrant them. In one case, for example, an otherwise innocuous NPC was marked with many runes nearby indicating that said NPC was a liar and I should attack him. As it turned out, the NPC was powering a ritual that made the level's boss immortal, and without killing him I never would have been able to beat said boss.

The other way that the game presents a passively online universe is through player ghosts and bloodstains. The former is just a glimpse of other people playing the game i.e., their characters running around in the same level you are in. These are mostly just there for show, though seeing a ghost pull a lever or break down a wall can provide a helpful hint. When another player dies, their bloodstain is left in the location where they died. If you touch a bloodstain, a ghost pops up and runs through the last few seconds of that player's life. This basically shows you where traps are in a lot of circumstances you just have to watch for the part where the ghost "dies" when you go forward. In some cases, the presence of a great deal of bloodstains serves as warning enough.

There are more direct ways of interacting, as well. When you're a ghost, you can offer your services as a Blue Phantom and enter another player's world as a cooperative helper. Beating the level's boss transports you back to your own game and gives you your body back. You can also take the darker path of the Black Phantom and invade another player's world; if you manage to kill them, you get your body back. Overall, there's not a lot of communication possible in-game. The messages serve as the only actual communication; blue phantoms must communicate with gestures and emotes, and there are only a few of these. There's no friend lists or anything along those lines, so you're really just grabbing any random player either as an enemy or a friend.

The graphics in the game are excellent the designs and effects are detailed and well-executed, there are plenty of incredible panoramic views (many of which can be noted with messages) and the characters all move with realistic weight and effort. On the other hand, the Havok physics used in the game are completely ridiculous. Bodies, for one, can be easily kicked around by a player walking slowly into them, which causes them to go into humongous spasms and flail around. The sound is great, being distinctly atmospheric while also serving as a warning. The music is good, but only shows up for boss fights (in a manner similar to Shadow of the Colossus), while the rest of the game is music-less to let you focus on approaching footsteps or flapping dragon wings.

As a whole, Demon's Souls is a great game with solid gameplay and fun online multiplayer. However, it's also a very unique game casual gamers, people who dislike losing repeatedly, and people who want to play with people they know in real life are probably better staying away. The game's difficulty will drive away most gamers; even gamers who stick with it will likely find it frustrating when they die for the hundredth time. The online mode, while interesting and fun, is limited in its long-term applications due to the short "pick up game" nature of coop play.

In conclusion, the game is a 9/10 for hardcore gamers, and a 6/10 for casual gamers.

I ve been eying this game since it was released in japan and after i got the American release all i got to say is this game is money will spent , over 40 hours of gameplay , wonderful online integration you will get so immersed in this game you wont believe it , the atmosphere is spot on , the music is will created and the gameplay mechanics are tight youll rarely feel that you lost control of you character , this is my first time getting a deluxe edition in my life ive never bought any limited edition version before am i happy with this one i am totally 70$ you get the strategy guide which is alone worth 10-15$ in my opinion and a beautiful hardened box , so gt the deluxe edition its will worth the money the game is awesome if you're a fan of action RPGs or RPGs in general .

one more thing is that i never felt that the game is cheaply hard every time i die it was because i did something stupid or i was careless and met my doom , I've been waiting for a game like this that is challenging and i forgot to say that the art style , graphics and other graphicly stuff is all beautiful and what you expect from a PS3 exclusive .

My first experience with Clannad was through the anime. I became so engrossed with it that by the time I had cried my eyes out and been utterly depressed it had ended. The anime is a much shorter experience than the Visual Novel (PS3 game). It basically sums up the VN into a quick coherent experience, but it's great! This game has lasted me 50+ hours so far and I'm only through half of the character routes. There are multiple endings to each character and every decision counts. Be aware, that this is some serious level Japanese, and even if you think you know a lot, there will definitely be Kanji that you are clueless about. Either way if you can understand what's going on you will definitely have a great time! Excellent game and certainly recommended.

I BOUGHT THIS TO ADD TO MY GUITAR GAMES COLLECTION. I LIKE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN SEE THE VIDEOS IN THE BACKGROUND OR YOU CAN USE THE PS EYE AND SEE YOURSELF WHEN PLAYING THE GUITAR! ALL IN ALL I THINK THIS IS A PRETTY COOL GAME!

A fun game in the singstar tradition with the addition of guitars! I like the song selection and the huge library of songs for sale. I just wish more of the songs for sale had guitar on them.
