I have an HD-TV with only one HDMI input, and I wanted to connect both my PS3 and HTPC to it. I was interested in getting some sort of switch so that I wouldn't have to manually re-plug the cable every time I wanted to change between the two. All of the other solutions were crazy expensive or generally reviewed as unreliable, so I decided to grab this smart switch as it is cheap and was reviewed well on other sites.

I was actually kind of skeptical about the "smartness" of this thing, as I keep my HTPC on -allthe time, so I had a feeling it would get stuck on that input, and I would just have to use the manual override when I wanted to play my PS3 (which I do power off). I would have been totally fine with this (pressing the button to switch is easy), but when I got the unit, it was smart enough to figure out that when I turned on my PS3, that's what I wanted to use. As a result the thing works -perfectly-, and I don't have to touch it at all.

Great deal.

This does the job.

I have a Scientific Atlanta converter box and PS3 connected to a Sony Bravia TV. One of the HDMI connectors on the TV broke and I bought this instead of having the TV fixed. When I turn the PS3 on, the TV switches to the PS3 even if the cable box is on. Shut off the PS3 and you are back to TV. It also has a switch to select an input, even with both on.

It comes with all the cables you need, they are somewhat stiff, so the box will not sit on top of anything. I have in hanging behind the TV. I can just reach under the TV and hit the button. The only time I need to use the button is when I am downloading on the PS3 and want to watch TV. The PS3 is the priority for the switch.

If it had a priority for the last device on and would sit better, I would give it 5 stars.

I have a Sony Bravia with only one HDMI port on the back and I have two HMDI devices I need to attach: 1. ) DirecTV+ HD DVR and 2.) Panasonic DMP-BD35K 1080p Blu-ray Player. I had tried some other HDMI switches (ie. Terk HDMI-31 Smart Switch, but it didn't work with the Panasonic Blu-Ray playerm, the Terk wouldn't pass the HDMI 1.3a signal to the TV), so I tried this Universal HDMI Quick and it worked great. I have both my DirecTV HD DVR and the Panasonic Blu-Ray player connected through the Universal HDMI Quick Switch and then to my TV and they work fine.

The Auto-switching between devices doesn't work perfectly because when I turn off a device, it doesn't really go off, just goes into standby mode, regardless, if it doesn't switch, just press the button on the Universal HDMI Quick Switch and it manually toggles between the two connected devices. If auto-switching between devices doesn't work for you and you really don't want to get off the couch to press the button to toggle between devices, then you may want to look at HDMI switches with a remote control.

It even comes with an extra HMDI cable...my blu-ray player didn't even come with an HDMI cable, so having this extra one was a good thing.

Simple two port switch that gets the job done better than more expensive HDMI switches that may not support HDMI 1.3a and higher.

The item works, I'll give it that...but it doesn't work well. I plugged in a PS3 and an xbox 360 into this device. The 360 worked fine, but the PS3 didn't. When I would walk by the tv, the picture would fade in and out (meaning that the movement of the floor would shift the device and screw up the picture). Eventually, this started happening when I wasn't walking by it and actually sitting on my couch. It worked occasionally, but I'm not sure that you would want to take a chance with it costing bucks. It's up to you. It may do what you want, just not all the time.

I only have one HDMI input for my LCD TV and I put my PS3 and HD Cable box to this. It works great that even my wife knows how to work it (she hates technology). If you are watching TV and then decide to power up the PS3 for netflix...tada...the PS3 is now showing. No fiddling with switches or any of that nonsense. And when you turn the PS3 off....tada...back to HD cable TV like magic. It's simple and simplicity speaks volumes. I like the fact that it came with an extra v1.3 HDMI cable since I didn't have one and the switch has a low profile. Highly recommend this product.

I've played the entire Resistance Trilogy and have not been disappointed at all. These are some of the 3-Best games for the Playstation 3.

I'll start my review discussing the 3 Games Separately and will strictly discuss the Campaign portions of the games, as I believe that the Multiplayer aspect will change depending on how each of you perceives it (good or bad).

Resistance: Fall of Man

The first game in any trilogy should be able to set the tone for how the rest of the games will be played. It should also create a solid and complete opening story to draw the gamers into the world. This game has done that and more! The first Resistance sets the tone which is continued throughout the trilogy. It also gives a very solid story line which does not break or seem incomplete in any way.

Resistance 2

The second game in this trilogy keeps the tone and mood going. It has an enhanced story line that picks up where the first Resistance leaves off, and continues to a great (yet somewhat sad) ending. By far, the 2nd Resistance is the best in the trilogy.

Resistance 3

(Trying not to spoil the game), The 3rd Resistance starts out with a new main character who you play as the entire game. The story line in this game seems slightly askew from the other games, but then again it takes place much later than the previous 2 games. As the final game in the trilogy, I do not feel as though it made a good solid end; however, the story in itself was very good.

Since Insomiac's contract with Sony has ended and there are no talks about renewing it does not seem as though there will be another Resistance game (or at least one made by Insomiac). Due to this, I feel that Insomiac did a good job leaving the game such that another developer could pick up where they left off.

Overall

As a trilogy, I think this is one of the best out there. All 3 games offer great stories and amazing gameplays. Also, for the $39.99 Price Tag, this is a very good deal, as Resistance 3 retails for $20 alone.

I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a nice solid Trilogy to add to their Playstation 3 collection!!

I never played these games before so I jumped on this deal! I tried the demos and didn't like them that much... but after actually playing the games from start to finish im glad I gave them a chance! If you love shooters then this game is for you! The story is interesting, showing an alternative timeline where Earth gets invaded by Aliens in the late 40's. The weapons are also very unique and a blast to use! All three games also have a co-op mode which I believe has a separate campaign for the 2 sequels. There are also online modes but the first two games have pretty much empty servers and the third game usually only has a server or 2 filled with a couple dozen people. If you have a PS3 and want to try a shooter that has unique weapons and story then this exclusive 3 pack is well worth the $40.

Resistance is an all around sturdy shooter, the games are all of adequate length, in the 8-10 hour ranger, longer if your a trophy/ collectible hunter. Just a heads up though the first one is piss hard and challenging.

Seriously at the asking price (me was 25), its practically a steal. Definitely alot of bang for your buck

Great game collection. everything is new and the vouchers codes are there. Too bad that they must be used before march 30th. eventhough it's a great collection even without the dlcs.

These games have been around long enough that I don't need to review their merits. There are plenty already. Just know that I am a huge fan of the series and will be for a while.

What I'd like to say is that this "package" is a bit of a disappointment. Unlike other collections that have been released recently, i.e. inFamous, God of War, Killzone, this release is simply the three games taken off of a shelf and put into dressy box. The other collections are condensed into a single disc (good if you are looking to streamline) & they included some extras (DLC or a remastered PS2 title or two). The Resistance Collection has no extras. Don't get me wrong, the package price for three games is a steal at $39.99 if you don't already own any of these titles. But if you're looking to streamline your collection or already own at least one of the titles, this won't be anything special.

Remote is very light and the quality of materials matches it's price. The painted or printed symbols already show signs of fading. It works fine for what I use it, which is to play, pause, rew/ffw. You do have to keep the remote pointed at the dongle for it to work so make sure the area is not obstructed. By the way it needs two AAA batteries (not included)so have them handy.

I have to say I was a COD type of player. My friends would talk to me about BFBC2 and I would say "That game looks boring, where is the action?" But got to admit, I got tired of COD, same old gun and run. I wanted something more complex.

I played the BF3 beta, and damn after getting in the Metro Station, from the Operation Metro Map, and hearing the bullets, the RPG's on the edge of getting you, and the explosion all around, I got hooked up. It is so realistic, having "TurtleBeaches" or so, really helps a lot. It is intense, full of action, and really fun.

For all those people saying "I get killed really fast, they are all just camping, I can't even get close to the objective, I get lost on the map 'cause is too big" Well, don't run like a noob in the middle of the street! take the long way around, be sneaky get behind them and kill them, and most important of all press the SELECT button when you see an enemy to "spot" it, as this is a team based game, your friends will see them when you "spot" the enemy. When spawning get into a vehicle, better if it is a Tank or an Amphibian, with them you can get close to the objective and kill lots of enemies, it is better if you are an engineer as you will be able to "fix" it when damaged.

I can't deny there are some issues such as: Voice chat being choppy, bugs here and there, but no game is complete when it first comes out. I think it will just get better after some patches, don't listen to the trolls, and just give it a try. Hope you find out how good this game is. CHEERS!

Ok, I gunned half through a few hours of single player simply for the trophies and then dropped it for a few hours into the MP end of stuff. This is an early rummage of thoughts to give some people on the fence an idea of what they are getting into. Even most of the PC reviews out there have been pretty vague. I haven't cleared this 100% for the Platinum or put in 100 hours of ranking. But I have been playing Battlefield games for awhile so some early thoughts after a few hours.

First off -200+ meg update before you can play then you're off to the races. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 was similar to Crysis, in that you could navigate the landscape the way you wanted, within an admittedly small area. Wooden huts and hideouts were for the destroying if you were so inclined. In Battlefield 3, you are literally led by the nose with little blue and red boxes on EXACTLY what to do. It's pretty insulting. Walk one foot too far this way or that way, and you are immediately told to "RETURN TO THE BATTLEFIELD." The levels are much more confined than the last game, but I think they went way too far on the scripted confrontations. On the realism end, there is a a few instances where a Marine will drop dead right in front of you and the other soldiers will just walk right by. Pretty lame, Marines don't tend to do that sort of thing. So the story sucks, but nobody reads Playboy for the articles right? Character models are not the strong point here. Where in CoD, everything looks like shiny plaster, here they look like clay . The environment textures look good most of the time, but occasionally do load slowly. Also, first thing I would do, is jack up the controller sensitivity, the default setting is way too slow. So far, I see a real missed opportunity in the single player end. I don't know why they just don't take the large maps from multiplayer and come up with a story based task for the single player. Corridor shooting needs to finally die. Anyway, the campaign doesn't do much new thus far, but there are good points. The audio is absolutely stunning. On my surround sound, the bullet hits and muzzle sounds are really awesome.

But playing Battlefield by yourself is like buying a banana just to eat the peels.

There is the new seemingly obligatory online pass to jump through and then you are greeted with a "free" M1911 pistol reward. Yay.

Online, there are still some occaisional collision problems from the beta. I have been sapped by a LMG more than once half stuck in the floor geometry of a building, but other than that the game does play pretty good. This is Battlefield so when you can spawn on a boat and grab some airpower you'll probably crash right away. haha. It happens every time. In 1943 it took me awhile to get the plane over Suribachi too. But there is a new feeling of dominance gunning around with the Apache's instead of just having tanks or jeeps with machine gun mounts. I haven't had too much time with the jets in Conquest yet, but I'm getting there. Tanks are still the main fun for me. There's nothing more satisfying than blasting down an entire roof where a sniper is camped out stopping your troops from getting the Gas Station capture point. Bullet drop with snipers from BC2 seems less pronounced or it may be a placebo.

Maps range from HUGE to more conventional "CoD" style boxes for deathmatch. For me, TDM really is pointless in this type of game but it is a game mode that never seems to die no matter what game they put it in. Whatever, I prefer the larger skirmishes with objectives, but I think the larger maps do bring up the obvious. This game is probably better played on the PC for one real reason and it has nothing to do with graphics. The PC will hold 64 players and that is where the real meat of the series has always been. Eventually, I'll probably up for the PC sku when I can afford an upgraded rig, but this does well for now.

Battlefield 3 is not for everybody. Black Ops this is not. MW2, this is not. You cannot hide in a tin roof building like in Favela during an Apache onslaught and expect to ride out the bulletstorm. You can't run around and knife from 10 meters away. If you played Battlefield BC2, MoH, or even the PSN/XBL 1943, then you'll know what you're getting into here. Weapons sway, reloading takes time and there's no MW2 pinball score counters. If you are curious and big on CoD quick turn maps where you can noob tube to a nuke with OMA this is probably not your game. Battlefield matches can be long drawn out affairs and inching your way on foot to objectives or blasting your way through buildings to a flag is a better way to success. Not to say the knifing isn't useful. If you don't play as a team you will have a very bad day. FYI you can't jump off the top of a three-story building doing a 360 turn and pop a guy in the head with an Intervention and run off into the sunset with a 73-7 k/d in Scrapyard with the chopper gunner singing in the background. Battlefield isn't about killstreaks, it is about a 'battlefield.' Ironic I know. Battlefield 3 pretty much holds to the history of the franchise thus far. There are some mistakes here and there all of them in the single player end mostly because I feel it is a mistake to try to compete with Call of Duty. Call of Duty is a slowed down Quake 3 fun but aging, fake and in no way a war game. Battlefield 3, on the other hand, is pretty much the game it was 10 years ago, but now with much better graphics, more lethal vehicles and stunning sound design. Don't buy into the hype one way or the other. But if you're tired of endless 'nade spamming, chopper gunner spamming, host lag, knife spamming, and want something objective based give Battlefield 3 a look.

*****

UPDATE: I'm going to just drop a few last pieces in and leave it at that. Right now I'm rocking the ever popular M416, suppressor, bi-pod and Holo with the M26. There was a point around level 7 or 8 where you really start making a weapon your own with the sights, rail attachments and the game really starts to come into it's own. It no longer feels like the early "grind" and you start to know the maps. Even TDM starts to make sense at least on Metró. Though CQB is still clumsy. I haven't touched the single player again and I doubt I will. Frame rates could be a tad better, but this was built for a PC with SLI cards, so what can you do? Oh and the Battlelog stats site is ripped almost completely from the Killzone stats site. Go figure. Not sure if Xbox live lobbies are back up yet, but 3/4 time I get dropped immediately into a game from PSN. Once in awhile I get kicked during search. Server list is helpful and would be welcome in any other console FPS. I'm in for the long haul. If you got the stomach for the climb to level 45, it's worth it. There are few things more rewarding in online gamedom than making a push with a good team in conquest, hopping over a rail to heal a fallen teammate and throwing up cover fire with a well tuned weapon with an Abrahms tank on your back blasting the wall of an apartment building with laser sights bouncing around on your position to take the win. Hard to find this type of experience anywhere else.

*****

I've got my MW3 preorder in on the 360 but I absolutely have to post this. It's so funny because I think it's true.

Look up -14 Ways to Spot a CoD player in Battlefield 3 on the OXM UK website.

*****

Well I caved. Finished a new PC build with a Core i5 2500 and 2 GTX 560 ti's. Battlefield 3 runs like glass. EA's Origin is awful, but the game is just stunning. Maps are much bigger and even single player earns a few points back. I'll still be playing on PSN, but the PC version has to be seen in motion to be believed. If anybody has any questions on the differences, let me know.

Buy Battlefield 3 Now

Overall i think its very good,

It is Bad company 2 with better graphics and enhanced maps, new weaponry and upgrades for all you can drive. Is very fun to get into the battle because it feels closer than its predecessor, there is no calm in any place of the maps, the sound and visual effects are very good and has the same destruction that BC2, which is something important in the franchise.

I think the intensity itself of this war game will be always better than the COD games.

I had to do a review on this because of all the negative reviews. It's almost like they're not even playing the same game! The graphics on this game are right up there with Killzone and Crysis 2's campaigne. Definitely top notch for this generation of consoles. A review below says the game is messed up because the mini-map doesn't show your enemies when they are shooting.. THIS IS BECAUSE THE MINI MAP ISN'T SUPPOSED TO SHOW YOUR ENEMIES WHEN THEY ARE SHOOTING! The only way for an enemy to show up on your mini map, is if you or someone on your team highlights the enemy in their cross-hairs and pushes select, this calls the enemy out to your entire team for a short amount of time. How about instead of saying the game is faulted, learn how to actually play it! The ONLY people complaining about this game are the ones that are comparing it to Call of Duty. Well it's not Call of Duty, and that's a good thing! I'm not a 'fanboy' of either and I'm without a doubt getting MW3 as well. I can already tell that I'm going to play MW3 for a week, then go right back to BF3. This game is amazing, it took BF2 and improved on it in every way possible. I haven't even touched the single player yet. The multiplayer alone is worth the money. I haven't had any kind of lag, freezing or kicks of any kind. No glitches either. The game runs like a sewing machine! The graphics are insane for a console, there is TONS of unlocks to get, the maps are GIGANTIC and you can even fly a jet over the battle grounds and parachute into battle.. AGAIN, THAT'S FLY A JET, JUMP OUT AND FREAKIN PARACHUTE INTO THE BATTLE!! How is that not awesome? Great game and it's worth every bit of the hype. It's not Call of Duty, it's Battlefield 3!

Want Battlefield 3 Discount?

I could write a page telling you about the different abilities and strategies of the soldiers...

or the many vehicles you could master driving and flying...

or the team and squad based strategies you could employ to dominate...

or the fully destructible environments so no one is truly safe. Like hiding in buildings? Well watch out for that tank, chopper, or jet. The building is going down!

or even the awesome different game modes including Rush, Conquest, and Team Deathmatch....

I have played all the FPS games including all COD, Battlefields, Homefront, Halo, ect...

If you are looking for something more than kids running around seeing who can kill the most people first with no strategy and the same redundant gameplay... game after game, after game, after game... ummm... well look no further.

I loved battlefield 2 and this is even better. MW3 is the first COD game i am passing on. I have lost all interest in the franchise. To me it has gotten stale. I found I was only playing Zombies in black ops after getting bored with the multiplayer.

After playing Battlefield and seeing all it has to offer I cannot go back to COD. This game even got my 30 year old friend who never played games before hooked.

It takes a little getting used to if you are used to COD but once you get the hang of it you will love it. HUGE boards, large teams, so many strategy options, so many vehicles... Damn I have to go to work. I just wanna play!

Get it and I will see ya on the Battlefield!

Playstation Plus is a paid service that is OPTIONAL for users of the Playstation Network. The service provides users with discounts, free games, online storage and much more that I will outline below. The offered digital Playstation Plus subscription code is a safe alternative for users who do not Own, or wish to give their credit card to Sony, or use Playstation Network Cash cards.

COST

There are currently two models of subscription; 3mo @ $17.99 or ~$6.00/mo and 12mo @ $49.99 or ~4.17/mo. Obviously the best deal is the 12mo offer. **This card gives you a 12mo subscription**

ADVANTAGES

Every month the Playstation Store will have featured products available for Playstation Plus users. This often amounts to at least one free "featured" game offered per month, as well as various other free titles.

Playstation plus holders will also receive special discounts on select items, which changes every month. The price reduction can be anywhere from 10% to 75% off an item or package deal.

Exclusive features! Automatic Download service to keep all your games up-to-date without physically having to launch the title. 150MB of online data storage for your save game files or data files (You can even back up copy-restricted saves)

FULL GAME TRIALS. That is right folks. On the boarder about that new title that just came out. Playstation Plus members get a "full game trial". It acts as if you physically bought the game and allows you 1 full hour of game play before disabling itself.

Early access! As a Plus member you will receive early access to game demos and be given priority when it comes to specific Beta invite handouts, Plus members are first to get access.

Free Plus themes and avatars. Not exactly amazing but who doesn't love free stuff!

DISADVANTAGES

As a playstation plus member you have access and perks from all the above. HOWEVER if you do not renew your subscription things can get a little complicated.

*** Any content received that was *FREE* will become "disabled" upon expiration of your PLUS subscription (Excluding: Avatars and Themes)

**Note: Any Item you had to physically pay for, even if it had a special PLUS discount of 99% will not be disabled upon expiration of your subscription

So what it amounts to mostly is that the GAMES you get for FREE are essentially long term rentals so long as you keep PS+ ... While Free avatars, Free themes, and items purchased at a discount will always be yours.

OVERALL

The playstation plus plan is not for everyone. However it is a plan that rewards its subscribers with plenty of perks and loads of content each month. If you think about it, at $4-$6/mo and a free $10-$15 game each month in theory the subscription pays for itself each month, not even factoring in all the other perks like the free full game demos. At just $4.17/mo you are getting quite a great price for a PLUS subscription; one that could easily pay for itself in just a few months.

I'm a fairly casual gamer, and only really play a lot when a highly anticipated title is released (Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil or Silent Hill titles, mostly.) I do like to have a few short games to play during my down times as well (Alien Breed and Dead Nation come to mind) and PlayStation Plus will allow you to get many games like this for cheaper, or free. Since I subscribed, shortly after that PSN outage in April, I've more than recovered my cost for the 1 year subscription. I also really like the automatic update feature. When I do have time to play games, I don't like having to wait 40 minutes to download a system update or patch. This allows me to set it up to download and install patches at a time I choose (4am-6am for me) so I can just boot up and play.

This is a great add-on to purchase for your playstation network account. While its not necessary to play games online, make friends, exchange messages and download content like Xbox Live requires for its online network, it does offer a slew of content at reduced prices and with sony's new essential game collections you get fully featured games FOR FREE not to mention avatars, themes, full game trials and the ability to access "the cloud" to preserve your game saves from loss by any means. I recommend this service to all of my playstation 3 owning friends!

what can i say!! am a huge fan of this great anime and actually this is my first naruto game i play on the ps3. i've been playing ps2 games though.

anyway, i rarely write reviews on amazon but i couldn't resist writing this one because CyperConnect created an awesome game for an awesome anime!!!

you gonna laugh so bad when you reach the ending of the story mode i don't wanna spoil it but i personally laughed and danced.

this review gonna be short because i really want to go back playing this addictive game i'll just mention pros and cons...

pros:

1fluid and very responsive game play

2a huge number of characters!!

3some anime scenes and comic you never seen before not a lot of them but still will interest the Fans.

4an awesome story mode where you gonna see different aspects of the anime story.

5few modes that will keep you playing this game for along time such as tournament , survival ,and online battle mode.

cons:

1-they did not include what happens after naruto defeats pain like how he got this new yellow power from the nine tails daemon (Kyuubi)

2-No Adventure mode this time is such a disappointment, the developer decided not to include one this time.. WHY!!!!!!

to conclude this review i want to say if you are Hesitant whether this game is worth your money don't be if you like the anime i guarantee this game you will love it. and i hope this review was helpful to you

I Have played both Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and 2 and I can happily say that Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Storm Generations is without a doubt my favorite Naruto Game out there! With more than 70 playable characters this has the largest roster in a Naruto game to date! I have been playing it non stop since I picked it up this morning and wow am i really enjoying it! While i can say a bit was taken away from the story as a whole most major points are covered and of course more stories are told not included in the other two games. The graphics ars stunning as always and combat is really fun! Do yourself a favor and pick it up

The creators of the Ultimate Storm video game series seemed to shoot themselves in the feet with UNS: Generations. This game appeared to be, at least to me, a sort of buffer between UNS: 2 and UNS: 3. The fact that Generations came right in the middle of the Storm 2 and Storm 3, combined with the lower quality of this game, makes it obvious that developers were trying to keep fans of the video game series interested while waiting patiently for the 3rd installment. Unfortunately, as a fan of the series, I was not satisfied with this game as I anticipated to be.

PROBLEM AREAS: (Sadly, there are many.)

-Lack of story mode: Obviously because developers were putting Naruto Shippuden UNS: 3 into process, and did not have the money to spend and the time to promote a more extensive game with longer game play and larger worlds. Taking away a key component of the game series to be able to move around as Naruto, Sasuke and other characters in a story mode where one can gather items and interact with the environment is a HUGE draw back to me. It'll lead me into my next point...

-Fixed, narrated story mode: This made up for the lack of free play. To me, the narration was inconsistent and the individuals used for narration in the Japanese version, which I vastly prefer over the dub did not seem to mesh well with the personalities/storylines of the characters they were narrating for. That's just an opinion, but for example, the Japanese narration for Sasuke's arc was heavy, drawn-out and awkward sounding. Not to mention that I didn't feel like sitting through a lengthy, verbose narration about things I already knew well of the characters in the game! With this new and mediocre mode, one unlocks new arcs without free play by finishing initial arcs first if you beat Sasuke's tale, you unlock Itachi's, and so on and so forth. To me, this didn't seem challenging.

-Lack of difficulty: Again, this game did not have a difficult layout. You beat one arc, you unlock another, and if you are very bored of watching 5-10 minute narrations about things you already know [if you've watched the show or read up to date what is happening], you skip the cutscenes, head into battles we've sometimes even seen before in previous games, and then move onto another narration/cutscene. The game itself is very FLAT.

-Some CGI glitches: Just something I noticed. Movement could get awkward at times. The developers aimed high to make character movement more fluid but now and then it becomes difficult to maneuver the characters and how they move. Hopefully it will be better in UNS: 3.

-Poor concept art: I might be picky with this since I am an artist myself, but I found the art for this game the drawings of characters as we select them for battle in the free play arena/computer vs. player, etc. mode to be poorer than previous concept art we have seen with the UNS series. I found the new drawings of our favorite characters to be somewhat... off, and not as aligned to Kishimoto's vision. Essentially they seemed like a fan artist's version of these characters, a very good version, but not the Kishimoto version. This irked me, and seemed to reinforce that the time put into this makes it a cheap buffer game and nothing more.

-New substitution meter: For some reason, developers put in a substitution bar for doing substitutions that makes it impossible for one to do an unlimited number as we could in Storm: 2. You have a certain number of substitutions available and if the bar runs out, even if you have chakra at your demand, well... good luck! This was annoying. Substitution is a huge win factor in the Storm series. Without it, you could very well die...all the time.

POSITIVE AREAS: (Yes, this game does have some positives, but not many!)

-An attempt at more fluid game play. Stated in the above. It was a major improvement from the last game and I appreciate this despite some glitches.

-Very attractive visuals, which is always a huge plus for this game series.

-A wide range of characters to unlock and play... but perhaps too many? It's really a matter of opinion. I see the 'generations' theme they were going for though. I think that the wide range of characters could be fun for individuals who are newer to the Naruto/Shippuden series.

-Some interesting new battle areas. Not fabulous, but the effort is put in and you can tell. They were going for variety here.

VERDICT: This game is definitely a buffer game, and take that as you will. You will NOT find the high quality, free play story mode of Storm 2 and previous games, and this might make some of you out there, if you're anything like me, very frustrated. The visuals are excellent, but is that worth paying even 27 or 28 dollars for this game, when you could save up to pre-order Ultimate Ninja Storm: 3? Absolutely not. If you're a big fan of this series you're bound to face disappointment.

Don't waste the cash. Even though I was thinking of giving this 1 star, the effort put into SOME areas, like visuals, more fluid game play, and a greater variety prevented me from giving this game 1 star, but it still not worth paying the money for. It's only so-so.

I'm pretty sure I've played most, if not all, of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games. While this one is my favorite (mainly because of the new characters you can use), there are some things of the past I wished this game had.

Game Modes: There's no explore Konoha and surrouding areas RPG mode! While this aspect isn't necessary in a fighting game, and I've seen other recent fighting games also eliniate this part, it definitely allows the player to take a break from the sometimes monotony of continuously battling. I'm not a big online battler either, so an RPG mode would have been greatly appreciated. The story mode is interesting as it takes you through the perspectives of different characters. I was definitely looking forward to the new Anime scenes that were being promoted, but, honestly, only a couple of them were of any real worth or fun to watch. Another downside to the story mode is that, even though you do get to play as different characters, some of them have intertwining stories, and therefore it's possible for you to fight the same battle two or three times...just as different people. That to me became too monotonous to a point. Also, the lack of "cinematic/quick time" battles leaves the mode a bit lacking. Free Battle Mode has your typical VS, Online Battle, and Training. There's also a Survival Mode and Tournament Mode. I have tried Tournament yet, but I do like the survival. It provides a good amount of chalenge at times, and I'm only at the intermmediate level right now. You have to start at Basic or Beginner Level (can't remember what it's called) and work your way up. The other modes are the Store and Collection, which are all self-explanatory.

Gameplay: The battle system really hasn't change from the past couple games. The attack, jump, item, and chakra charge buttons are all the same. Every character has one jutsu attack and one Ultimate Jutsu (which, sadly, were all recycled from the last game except for the new characters). This is actually one of the things I hate the most about the last couple games. in the past, although you could still use only one Ultimate Jutsu, but at least almost every character had a few of them to chose from. There's still Awakening Mode. For those new to the series, this mode becomes available when your HP gets below 50%. You charge your chakra to the max, and your characters gain heightened defense, attack, etc. You also still have to support characters, each with pre-assigned characteristics (attack, defense, or balance). You have a team gauge, and the more you use your support characters, the more the gauge fills. When you fill the gauge up once, it automatically activates your supports' passive abilities. If the ability is Attack, your support will join you for a few hits when you attack your opponent with regular attacks, and when you knock and opponent back (either with a jutsu or regular attack) your support will appear to knock them back for an extra hit. If their ability is defense, your support will protect you while you chakra charge or when an opponent tries to dash at you in order to stun you. Finally, if their ability is balance then your support will join you when you when you chakra charge and throw shuriken and they will also take your opponent's Ultimate's Jutsu instead of you getting hit (which can be useful but it also knocks out that support for the remainder of the battle). Now, if you fill the gauge up a second time, it allows you to do a team attack, which is always fun to watch and can take away almost 50% of the enemy's HP. The one thing I wish the game implemented was switching out your team of characters during battle, kind of like Marvel vs Capcom instead of having one main fighter and two supports. The only really big change that I noticed was that you can't spam the subtitution jutsu. You have a gauge that lets you do it a maximum of four times, and then you'll have to wait for the gauge to refill any of the four bars before you can use it again. This definitely adds more strategy to the game, which is good.

Characters: Yes, there are over 70 characters that span from the beginning of the Naruto timeline to the 5 Hokage Summit Arc. Here's my beef though. Only like 20 of those characters are from before Shippuuden, which is disappointing to me because I was really looking forward to playing as characters that they stopped using in the recent games like (Anko, Kurenai, the Sound 4) and maybe even some new ones from that generation like (Genma, Raido, Ibiki). Oh, but it's not that those characters don't appear in the game, they're just support only. So not only are there less characters from teh first generation, the ones you can use are just younger versions of Naruto and his friends. More diversity would have been nice.

The only other thing I can think to comment on are the stages. There's a good number of them, but there is also some repetition. A few of the stages are the same place just different times of day or different weather.

Despite all of the things that I found to be a downside (they are all personal opinions), this game is a ton of fun, and the new characters are a definite welcome addition.

Well, I bought this like three months ago, I usually don't care about online playing so I just spend my playing time against the computer or completing the story modes, so for a fighting game is the same than all the others naruto games for ps3 very repetitive, so the only way you enjoy this game is if you love this tv show otherwise it doesn't have much to offer, besides the big character roster.

I will by ultimate ninja storm 3 when the price drops because even if it's like the second part which was very good, naruto games don't deserve to be so expensive. They are too silly for being so expensive :P

This was a fantastic game. The style of the game is stealth, though if you are on easy difficulty you could just kill whoever the heck you wanted. The online is good you pretty much chose a setting from the game and play through it to create the rules for a high score. you can mark up to 3 targets. In each level (Beat it in two days) there are TONS of ways to do things. There is hidden weapons among the world, hidden outfits, DLC, and random objects you can draw peoples attention by sabotaging things. Its just a massive environment were you can do a lot of different things. At the end of each map it gives you and overall score from collecting items, who you killed, what objectives you fulfilled, etc. If your looking for a game where you kill everyone you can do that but you will more than likely get a negative score on that level. The less causalities (besides your target the better) bought this game when it came out and no regrets.

I am going to take 2 stars away because I am an America player and those two stars are from the frustration and discrimination they did to us American and European players.

Minus 1 Star Discrimination of the American European DLC and forever locked it.

Minus 1 StarFor shutting down the American European servers.

I bought this game because of the discrimination of the America/European version. After that we Americans/Europeans got our servers turned off. The discrimination does not end there. Japanese players are the meanest players of them all. They are extremely racists and will not quest with anyone who does not know Japanese. This experience is the worst online experience that I have played. Now being said, the Japanese version is just like the America/European version with all the missing Avatar Knight Parts and quests. However ONLY get this game if you love playing by yourself. Or know a few American players on the Japanese servers. I also warn you that it will become frustration because of the high level enemies in the new quest. I still love the game but I hate the company and those who choose to be racist against English speaking people. That ruined the online part of the game for me.

Very much works fine for the N64 system. Very hard to find a unit that will connect to your tv in where the cable wire goes. This one connects perfect. No issues!! From previous reviews and from pictures it's hard to tell if this will hook up to the back of your tv but it will.

UPDATE: Just wanted to give a quick update. Unit is still running fine but the picture quality is not as good as the NyKo N64 wire avalible from Amazon. If you want the best picture quality, go with the NyKo cord. The NyKo cord also plugs into where the cable wire goes in the back of the tv. Picture Quality is dramtically improved as well as sound on the NyKo. I own both.

I have used these in the past, and I thought they worked fine. That is UNTIL ... I don't know what happened, and NOW the two that I have (one on an Xbox and one on N64) are all the sudden not allowing the cable to come through. Don't waste your money.. buy something that will work for more than a few months.

Although I think the seller should be more descriptive in the item page, the product shipped fast and works perfectly.

The cable is in no way distorted when using the RF swtich, and the picture comes out fine. It works for my GCN/Xbox, I don't have a PS1/2 to try it out with.

This was the exact thing that my son was wanting. It was new, Sony brand, looked like a baseball, and only cost me 44.00, no shipping or tax. At Wal-Mart it cost 60.00 for a new controller and it is just plain. When he told me what he wanted, I did not think that I would ever to be able to find anything like that, but leave it to Amazon. If you need or want it, that is the place to go.

As a caveat, I'm just a casual gamer who only within the last two or three years finally branched out beyond the likes of Ms. Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat Trilogy (lol) so my standards for what I consider "good" are probably quite different from the guys (and gals) who run out and buy every new game that is released each week. But with that said, I actually found this PS3 Clash of the Titans game to be pretty decent despite what all the "official" magazine reviews and my fellow Amazonians might say.

Yes, film-wise the 2010 remake of Titans was terribly miscast and lacked the cheesy charm that made the original such a classic, but the game proves to be more engaging and definitely keeps you on your toes throughout. I really appreciated the creative license that was taken with the design of the enemy creatures encountered and thought most of the boss battles and cut scenes looked pretty cool from a cinematic standpoint. It successfully avoids trying to mirror the movie to a T, and aside from the most basic plotline which everybody already knows, I had a good time never knowing exactly what kind of original environment I'd end up in next. The voice acting isn't horrible per se, but there are lengthy pauses between lines of dialogue that give character interactions an awkward flow, and a lot of it can't be skipped over.

Gameplay is simple to pick up on, for the most part, but gets repetitive after a short while. Despite dozens of weapons available to acquire, along with their subsequent upgrades, the bottom line is you can get by perfectly fine with button mashing. The closest thing I can compare it to in that respect is last year's Dante's Inferno. Plus the whole thing seems drawn-out in general, asking you to complete endless inane "quests" before finally reaching a certain goal and letting you move on. My main gripe however is that several of the bosses or tasks are actually quite difficult to conquer on the first try, and when you die it tends to restart you at a point set much further back and you have to replay a good chunk of the level, which is frustrating. Not a lot of room for error.

But overall I thought it was a fun game in and of itself, and wanted to take a stab at defending it against all the negativity. Like I said, I am not a seasoned gamer so maybe I'm a little easier to please, who knows. As long as you don't go into it expecting a history lesson, or are still harboring resentment from the movie, I think you'll find it's worth a look.

well i know my comment might confuse or upset ppl but this truly is the 2nd God Of War & based on something that existed as well from GOW series. I haven't played the whole thing i'm currently on the City Of Argos before venturing out in the Valley where Peresus & the others fight the Giant Scorpions but they are called Scorpinoks lol anyway the fighting is very interesting & the combat sequence is different from GOW but reasonable. This videogame has potential to the story & basically it rocks don't believe me try it out 4 yourself :)

Clash of the Titans is based on the recent remake of the classic Greek mythology film. Red flags go up immediately with the title as it was released several months AFTER the film instead of coinciding with the theatrical release which is usually the norm. When films are delayed its usually not a good sign so the delay in the videogame for a bad film doesn't bode well. At Clash's core it is a "God of War" clone but lacks that series' gorgeous graphics and terrific gameplay.

The developers incorporated an interesting twist which allows Perseus to steal his enemies weapons and special attacks. The result is a staggering arsenal of some 80 different weapons in all. It's a fun potpourri that includes scythes, scorpion stingers, bows, magical powers, etc...The problem is that many of them are so similar in nature/power that it doesn't feel like there's much uniqueness to them. Even worse, despite this impressive array, your standard sword is going to suffice most of the time, rendering most of the weapons useless. This has become an annoying trend in a lot of games recently. Dante's Inferno offered a huge number of combo attacks but again, Dante's main weapon did the job just fine.

This weapon-seize system is horrendously clunky and annoying. You find yourself constantly swapping out weapons off the menu because they can only be upgraded by performing another steal. You'll find one use for a weapon and then you're putting it back in inventory and grabbing another weapon as you can only equip four at a time. Sticking to your sword is your best bet for the most part.

The main "plot" involves Perseus waging war against his estranged father Zeus and the rest of the Gods and dispatching all manner of mythological beasties along the way. Perseus' life, weapons, and abilities are powered by gathering the souls of life force of the enemies he kills. The combat system is as glitchy as the weapon selection...You are constantly surrounded by multiple enemies but switching to a new target is cumbersome and loses your orientation, often making you have to constantly re-target an enemy.

Outside of hacking and slashing enemies, Clash of the Titans offers little challenge. There are a wide variety of side quests but these become monotonous after a while and serve only to add padding to the game. These involve finding food and items but it's strictly filler material. Should you put in the MANY hours that it will take to finish the game, you can play co-op with a friend...if you have a friend you particularly dislike and want to torture. There is a Challenge Mode that allows you to take on individual missions that you already completed during the single-player campaign.

The graphics are average at best...while the game moves with a fair amount of fluidity, the visuals are jagged and look dated. Definitely not up to par with even the average PS3 game. The voice acting was hollow and stony as one of Medusa's victims. The one saving grace was a dramatic musical score but that's hardly enough to raise the grade.

Bottom line...Clash of the Titans the video game is as ill-conceived as the big screen remake. While the game COULD have been a decent God of War wannabe, the poor design dooms it from the word go. Rent it if you must, but save your $60 for something else.

The re-imagining of the Clash of the Titans not only disregarded Greek mythology but also gave us this game to add in the long honored tradition of watered down and crappy movie based titles. A hint to the studios, if the game is going to cost $60 and somebody is willing to pay for it, please feel free to "spoil" the movie and try to resemble the plot and characters, especially if it's going to be released months after the movie.

Big Spoiler: The Kraken looks nothing like his movie counterpart, nothing, since when did the Kraken have wing-like ears?

The sub-weapons are useless and annoying to find and upgrade and your main sword is as effective as a rolled-up newspaper and yeah, its non-upgradable. This game tries to emulate the superior God of War series with upgradable weapons, varied enemies and of course, Greek mythology but it fails miserably.

There is some entertainment value if you already mastered all the God of War games and want to see Kratos' wimpier counterpart take on the left overs he didn't kill during his quest for vengeance.Final word of advice, save your money or get it for less than 10 bucks.

Want Clash of the Titans Discount?

This game started out great. Graphics were really good, soundtrack and effects very good. The character likeness looks just like Sam Worthington. The thing I liked about this game is the number of monsters and bosses you fight. The cool thing are the weapons that you can "take" from the enemies. For example, when you first start out, the enemy is a skeleton with a huge hammer like weapon. At some point in fighting the enemy, it allows you to press L1 to steal the weapon. When you do so, you can actually take that weapon and it becomes part of YOUR arsenal!! This goes for most of the enemies.

Now, what didn't I like? Well, it's very loosely based, and I mean VERY loosely based on the movie. In fact, don't let the cover or the main character fool you. Sure, there is Zues and Hades, and the Kraken, but there were many enemies that weren't part of the movie.

There are a lot of side challenges, but they began to be boring and the game took too long to complete. It became uninteresting and I didn't want to play anymore challenges.

The ending is anti-climactic. Very much so. I didn't think the final battle with the Kraken was exciting at all. I won't spoil the ending.

So, it was an OK game, but don't buy it. Rent it.
