Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time is a great conclusion to the series, but the beautiful part about it is that you can play it without having played any of the other games before it. When you first pop in the disc you're greeted with a short movie that explains all of the events leading up to this game. Once that's over, you're up to speed and ready to roll.

The story is quite interesting, it's loaded with laugh-out-loud humor, and the characters are voiced to perfection. This rivals any of the Hollywood CGI movies that have come out in recent memory in terms of animation, story, humor, and the acting performances.

The game is loaded with variety. As Ratchet, you'll be flying around in your spaceship, in kind of an open-world setting, where you can visit various planets and moons in each space sector and accomplish side-tasks. The moons are spherical and come in two really fun varieties: platforming segments which will you remind you of Super Mario Galaxy, and shooting segments which will you remind you of Super Stardust HD. The planets are where the story actually takes place and you will explore much larger environments and meet new characters. In space, you can get into dog-fights with Dr. Nefarious' minion space-ship fighters, or you can meet up with various other space-travelers and help them with their requests. Your ship is upgradable, you just have to find little creatures called Zoni. There are 40 of them hidden throughout the game's universe, many of them are found by completing the optional moons. While roving around in your ship, there are also 4 fictitious radio stations to choose from. They all feature wonderful music of different varieties for different tastes, and DJs that will make you laugh out loud with their banter.

The weapons are ingeniously conceived, and you'll find yourself laughing when you see what some of them do. Humor is a big part of this game. But it's not all about humor. There is some serious gameplay here, too. Fun platforming, creative puzzles, RPG-like systems where your character levels up as he gains experience, granting him more hit points, and all of your weapons level-up with use, as well. Also, the weapons can be upgraded with parts that you find hidden around the universe, and some of the weapons can even be custom-painted.

Some of the best gameplay in this package comes from Clank and the new time-based puzzles. There will time-pads placed around the Clock at the Center of the Universe (the area that Clank traverses throughout the game), and you can record yourself doing things on these time-pads, then play back the action simultaneously while doing something else with your present self. In other words, you can set up recordings of past-selves to help your present-self accomplish tasks that would otherwise be impossible alone. The mechanics may remind you of a game called Braid. It's all very-well implements and often ingenious, always fun.

The game itself is rather easy to get through on the lower difficulties, it will be appropriate for children and adults alike who may not have much experience gaming. You'll get to see the whole game without much difficulty. But there are also Normal and Hard difficulties, which amp up the challenge, and seasoned gamers will find them more than sufficient to give them a fun time that's not too easy or too frustrating. This game is perfect for all-ages, it's appropriate for kids as well as adults, and I recommend it highly!

First let me start off by saying if you liked Tools of Destruction (I loved it), stop reading and buy this game, it's quite a bit better, really the same game with a bunch of noticeable improvements! The story is great and the writing is quite clever as usual. This is definitely the funniest Ratchet game yet, getting to play with Quark is worth it on its own! They have a lot of cool new puzzles (During Clank's play time) and some great action with Ratchet. The weapons are brilliant again, you get some of your old favorites (with minor alterations) and some great new additions. Not to mention the voice acting is great yet again.

Now in the interest of keeping this spoiler free, I won't go into Clank's story/gameplay because it will give away some of the fun, but just know that his new abilities and his new responsibilities are tied to the game title and they are very cool!

Ratchet plays the same as usual except for a few new gadgets (hover boots being my favorite) and some awesome new tools! They've also added a bit of a space shooter into the game which is a blast and introduces many "side quests"(Not to mention a great little Quark mini-game). Lots to do in this one guys, tons to collect, it's quite long and the replay is immense as usual!

My advice, add this one to your collection if you've played Tools of Destruction, if you haven't you may not get the story right off the bat and you'll really miss out on a lot, although the gameplay will still be fun as usual. I do suggest playing Tools of Destruction first.

Well that's about it, this game is just what you would expect from the Insomniac team, a very polished, fun, pixar-like experience that will excite and compel you to play forward.

Buy Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time Now

As someone who has played every Ratchet & Clank game (except for the PSP games) and loved them all, I was quite disappointed by this latest game.

-Is it bad? Definitely not! The voice crew, plot, and dialogue are all, as usual, top notch.

-Is it not fun to play? Again, definitely not! The game is short, but is thoroughly enjoyable throughout.

-Is it ugly? Nope, absolutely beautiful in 1080P.

-Are the controls difficult? As usual, they're amazing.

-Are you confused, unless you bought Quest for Booty? Nope, the important parts are described at the opening then.

So, what IS the problem then?

-Gameplay is short. Clank's time puzzles with multiple selves are interesting little brain teasers. Other mini games for clank are dull. Ratchet is in full force again. The hoverboots are fun, it feels like Deadlocked again without Clank on your back for a good part of the game.

-The plot is way too obvious from the start. About a quarter into the game I immediately guessed who the "surprise" final boss would beand I was right. There are some small, minor twists I didn't see coming, but overall, it was easy to discern most of the plot.

-Without spoiling anything, the ending feels half baked. A big question/issue isn't resolved.

-The game feels unfinished. Ratchet was practically amphibious in previous games, he can't swim at all in this one. Where are the Leviathan souls? This game never mentions them. There are numerous aspects of this game that feel unfinished. And the worst part is they created a planet (the Insomniac Museum) to show you all of the amazing stuff they cut out. Pretty much every description is followed by "But we had to rush to get the game out, so we cut it out".

Overall?

If you're a die hard fan and you haven't bought it already, you're going to crack anyways. Just buy it. You'll enjoy it.

If you can wait, I would wait for the price to go downfor the length of the game, it's hard to recommend.

If you've never played Ratchet & Clank before, buy Tools of Destruction first (if you own a PS3) or Going Commando/Up Your Arsenal for the PS2. All of them are greatest hits games and should retail for under $30.

Read Best Reviews of Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time Here

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time is a phenomenal game which is leaps and bounds above Tools Of Destruction...which is quite impressive because the first in the "Future" trilogy of Ratchet & Clank was no slouch of a game.

The controls are easy, the camera (although sometimes having a mind of its own)complements and follows play smoothly, and the sound (my biggest gripe with ToD and QfB) is fantastic.

The graphics are much improved (may sound odd...seeing as the graphics are purposely cartoony) to the point you can see individual Lombax hairs and subtle changes in the shape of faces for expression. So far (two stages in) I'm missing the comedy bad guys that were present (yet still effectively tyrannical) in the prior two episodes. I will, however, admit to one giggle-worthy moment from Dr. Nefarious.

The weapons and gadgets (still have a TON to get) are truly original all over again and massively fun to use in the creation of explosions and wanton destruction around Ratchet. What is there not to love about a genetically enhanced belching reptile with a hair trigger?

Side missions with Clank still feel a little...meh...but it's good to follow his side of the story and is a welcome break after joining Ratchet in narrowly avoiding death 62 and 1/3 times. Clank has his own brand of humor that works...but works better when combined with a certain wrench-wielding, sarcastic Lombax.

There has been an element of...almost non-linear gameplay added which I have fallen absolutely in love with. I can get to the story when I want and have fun things to do on the side (with very pleasurable rewards) to build me up for story missions.

The radio is a rather creative addition. I keep going back to the techno-trance station while cracking heads and cooking threads with 'ol Mr. Zircon and his smack-talking self while jetting around moons and asteroids in search of bonuses on my jet boots.

I'm rambling now so I will end here by saying that Insomniac has, once again, produced a real gem. Hilarious, action-packed, and a welcome addition to any gamer's library. I wouldn't rent this one or wait for it used, folks...there's fun to be had RIGHT NOW and you shouldn't be missing out.

I'm already hoping for the next R&C game that will have to work to make it above an even higher bar set by Crack In Time.

Want Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time Discount?

I wasn't honestly excited about this game when I picked it up. How many Ratchet and Clank experiences can a person be expected to take in, after all? While I love the series, the last thing I wanted was more of the same. Luckily this entry introduces some ingenious elements into the gameplay. If you played any earlier R&C games, you probably loathe the idea of playing as Clank, with no Ratchet. And it looks as though the developers have grown wise to that bit of truth. Clank may be a great addition to Ratchet's back, but he's just a bore on his own. At least he was before this game. Here you have a Clank who can use bombs to slow time and use recorded clones of himself to progress through challenges. This gives the title a great amount of real puzzle action. Clank also has some great shooter-type challenges here as well. You will look forward to playing with him in this game. The ability to travel through open space and take on side challenges was a great addition too. Even Ratchet has been given new abilities that make this a truly original platforming experience. The numerous ways in which you can customize weapons almost makes this game too good to be true. The series has always been focused on great platforming, wicked weapons, and the best stories you'll find in the gaming world. A Crack In Time is no exception. My only real complaint here is that a few of the weapons aren't as memorable and don't control as well as they did in Up Your Arsenal. But Insomniac doesn't seem interested in making carbon copies of its older games, so we may never see weapon control capabilities that strong again. Regardless, it's a very minor complaint. The combat still controls ages better than other platforming games I've played. There's lots of replay value here, the game is enjoyable for people of all ages, and the platinum trophy wasn't that difficult to obtain. This is one of the best games available on any system.

Set in the dystopian, post-apocalyptic world of Russia's underground subway system, the Metro, Last Light is a tale of humanity's claustrophobic and bloody fight to survive. With the oppressive and dark life of the underground, it's a dog eat dog world, with various regimes vying for control, the innocent bystanders caught in the crosshairs, various trouble makers in between and the risk of all out war. Match that with the surface world's toxic air and mutated horrors that will rip you to shreds, and the future is looking pretty bleak.

You play as Artyom, a newly-inducted member of the Order of the Rangers, one of the only (if not THE only) neutral faction in the Metro. You must traverse the Metro, scavenge for supplies, triumph against the monstrosities that could lurk behind every corner, and find a way to save humanity from itself.

Last Light is an immersive game. Like its predecessor before it, Metro 2033, LL takes every step it can into making this game as realistic as possible. The HUD and UI only show themselves when needed (or is completely nonexistant in harder difficulties and in the Ranger modes), and your character moves in realistic ways. When wearing a gas mask, you can change the filters manually, the mask can crack and almost break in places, when water blood or other gunk blurs your vision, you can wipe it away with the tap of a button.

When scrounging in the tunnels, your flashlight is your best friend, as certain areas are unforgivably dark, and some nasty spider/scorpion hybrid creatures are physically harmed and kept at bay while trying to swarm you. You can use a manual pump to keep the light from going out. You can use a lighter to burn away cobwebs to clear your path. You find yourself completely enthralled by the universe this game creates as you begin acting in slow, methodical ways, as anyone would to prolong their life. You come up with creative strategies to deal with enemies, and at times, you feel the pressure and heart-pounding anxiety of holding off multiple foes at once, with your flashlight on the verge of dying and leaving you in the dark.

If you're looking for a creepy, fantastic, expertly-paced, atmospheric adventure into the depths of an almost alien future, then Last Light is your game. The interactions you find between the people that live in this world can be so utterly hopeless sounding that it leaves you on the verge of tears, and nearly makes you feel even more desperate to find a way to solve all of their problems.

Last Light is a rare game that blends atmosphere, great gunplay, fantastic sound design and a convincing, realistic world, all into one beautiful package. This is a game, above all others that have been released in the past six months, that you owe it to yourself to play.

Completely and unequivocally recommended.

I cannot recommend this game highly enough to anyone looking for not only a game but an experience. Metro Last Light is a polished first person shooter with a great story. The graphics really set the tone for the journey through post apocolyptic Moscow. Item management is key in this game as resources are hard to come by and searching the barren, radioactive landscape for items is high risk for little, albeit precious reward. Maintaining gas mask filters is key to survival and when they start to run out it's a frantic race to find safety. The shooting mechanics are suprisingly tight for a story-driven fps. I especially liked the rotating barrel shotgun. Great sound rounds out the package and only serves to enhance a setting already dripping with tension. For me this game is in a rare category as I actually care what happens and want to finish it unlike my last purchase Resident 6, which lost my interest about mid-way through. You'll want to finish Metro and want to play it again in ranger mode.

Metro Last Light is a real gem and shouldn't be missed by anyone. The experience this game provides is second to none. It is hard to turn off and events from it stay with you long after you put the controller down. As an extra note, the limited edition that is shipping now comes with the ranger DLC included (there is a code in the box).

looking forward to a sequel to this as soon as i finish it

I have never before seen a game so unfairly reviewed by major pro reviewers like IGN and Gamespot. It seems that some very realistic games are outgrowing those sites in that when they require real skill the reviewer is lost and takes it out on the game with an undeserved poor review. This game is amazing. True 1:1 control and so much of a learning curve that you really feel like you are in full control and rewarded for improvement. Totally ignore the pathetic reviews of sites and listen to the real reviews here and by other users.

Got a chance to play it quite a bit and have to say the hype doesn't do the game justice. So at first I felt it was kind of slow and that I was seeing the impact that I felt I was dishing out. You have stats for your fighter and while you might be amazing in real life your character needs to improve. It's not that he won't move with you perfectly, because he will, it's the fact that his hits won't be measured as a perfect punch. So you have to boost Strength, Speed, Stamina, and Technique to get him up to your level and beyond. That's just the beginning however. You also have Chin which allows you to take more hits and Heart which helps you get back up if you have been mowed over. Only bad part is you really can't move your feet as you will be told during the tutorial. The rest of you is fine, but they have you rooted to that spot and probably to stop people from getting out of the cameras view. Custom soundtrack is supported so you can abuse people to your favorite fight songs.

Finally you have career mode and training facilities to improve your fighter. Career mode is like the one person stand alone to get you used to the ups and downs while earning yourself a little bit of cash along the way. The money is used on clothing, healing (since broken bones make for a weak fighter), and training facilities. Training includes things like the tutorial which gets updates from time to time, a spar which is just for practice and doesn't give you anything, the large punching bag, the small up high punching bag, an accuracy test, and an endurance match. The last four I mentioned give you upgrade points that you can spend on boosts which I named earlier. I tend to use either the large punching bag and/or the accuracy test since I'm better at those, but in all fairness did not try the endurance match.

Almost forgot some really important things. There is a gauge that measures how good or evil you are in a sense. Fighting using straight up boxing techniques makes you a good guy and shows you as being respectful. Fighting using the dirty moves and/or cheating (i.e. buying the download content to improve your fighter) lowers your respect. Not sure what respect does yet, but my guess is increases the price of items such as shoes, jewelry, tattoos, and other clothing while also warning other players online this guy might have paid money to improve his stats. Improved stats does not equal ability since you still have to be able to move and punch with precision. No stat is going to make up for really horrible skills.

I also recommend a well lit room for the camera as you will not be able to use the head sync if the room is kind of dark. Trust me it's a lot better to be able to bob than holding the X button which makes fighting a pain.

As far as multi-player is concerned I have not yet tried it and not sure if I can even do so online yet. I can tell you the features include spectator, tournaments and betting. Betting also gives a percentage to the winner. If the person you bet on has won a lot of fights and therefore those who had bet on him previously won a lot of money, you get a percentage boost for that. You also get a percentage boost for betting on winners multiple times.

Now this brings me to the trophies. You want them and badly. Trophies offer stat boosts and unique abilities that cannot be gained by any other means. These include stamina speed rate up, easy dizzy and/or stun/stagger break, easier to stun/stagger or dizzy the opponent and many other skills that will greatly improve your character in later battles and I'm sure for online fights as well.

The disappointing side is the lack of options in character customization. I did not see any long hair styles and on top of that for females who play you cannot be a woman. I'm surprised since there are definitely some woman out there who are pretty beast and you wouldn't want to mess with them. I guess they don't want guys beating up on woman since it could create all sorts of unwanted issues, but for women who play the game it's going to feel a little off I'm sure.

All in all this is an amazing game and at less than average dollar value. It offers more than pretty much any boxing title out, but in fairness they only paid for one big representative versus a huge cast of sportsman faces that would sue daily if they didn't make a certain amount of money for the use of their likeness. As far as the Playstation Move controls are concerned those are really good as well. It matches everything you do. For those of you who know eastern martial arts the turning punch motion won't increase the damage in the game, but is still useful. Boxers can easily show off as well. Great buy, a lot of fun, and a push to keep you at it with the stat system. All the fury of a real fight with the lack of a real hospital bill.

I review a lot of games that can be used for fitness and exercise. Very rarely has a game provided such an intense workout that just after a few minutes of playing with it, I'm covered with perspiration and my muscles feel tighter. It happened with this one.

It takes a while for you to get started with this game. When you pop the disc into your PS3, you need to wait a few minutes while the game data installs. You're instantly introduced to "Duke", your virtual trainer who looks like he's been in a couple fights himself in his day (the graphics are so detailed it's hard to tell if he's a real person or a computer-generated image).

You start out by entering your weight, height, and age. Your BMI is calculated for you.

You can then choose a look for your fighter. You select from a variety of faces, beards, hair colors, and hair styles. Chances are you can get someone approximating your look.

In the next step, you divide 60 "ability points" into various categories: strength, speed, stamina, chin (your charater's ability to take a punch), heart (your character's resolve in staying up despite taking a beating), and technique. In the course of the game, you can win more "ability points" to further strengthen your character.

In the next step, you calibrate your Move controllers (you need two of them). The process is a bit more involved than usual. You need to center yourself in the camera, stretch your arms straight out, and then move your remotes back and forth. You can also take a picture of the background without you in it to enable head tracking, which will supposedly track your head movements just like a Kinect (I couldn't get it to work on mine, possibly because I had objects in the background).

Duke will go on to tell you how to play the game. You'll need to keep your feet in place when boxing. You press the Move button and flick the controller to dodge and jump.

You'll also learn how to read the various elements in the game which represent your character's well-being. There's a health meter and a stamina meter, neither of which you want to run out. There's also a rage meter, which goes up each time you get hit and adds fuel for "dirty moves". A diagram of a skeleton will tell you if any part of your fighter is injured and needs to be patched up.

Once you finished the tutorial, you'll see four menu options:

Events: Takes you through different fights of increasing difficulty. With each fight, you'll earn money, reputation points, and new moves.

Training: Will let you re-do the tutorial or take new tutorials on sparring, heavy bag, speed bag, target practice, and endurance sparring.

Fitness: Shows you how many calories you burn while playing.

Fighter: Lets you adjust your character's appearance, assign new "ability points" you earn, heal from injuries, and apply "boosters" which you earn during your fights. You can also download cheats online (which, of course, come at an extra price).

As for the actual fighting, it is by far the best fight experience I've had in a video game. Your onscreen character reflect your motions almost perfectly--and even mimics hooks, jabs, and uppercuts pretty well. It does take a little while to get used to fighting on a two-dimensional screen--it's hard to gauge depth and so often you may be swinging and missing at your opponent (the game does work with 3D, so I suppose with a 3D television this issue would be solved). You can also switch camera angles, which helps. Other than that, it's a remarkable simulation of actual fighting.

After each fight, you can view the calories you burned as well as statistics (punches thrown, punches connected, "dirty moves", and punch accuracy). You can even view a video replay of your fight.

Like I said, after about 5 rounds I was breathing hard and felt my muscles tight. What's great is that I didn't want to stop--I just wanted to keep pounding the tar out of my opponents. I have a feeling that of all the games I have to get in shape, this is going to be the one I go back to most often. This is motion gaming to the extreme, and a great title which showcases the capabilities of the Move.

I was waiting for this game for a long time, but I was a bit concerned that reviews for this game from various websites were not that positive. But I bought it anyways, and boy I am glad I did!! I lost 5 lbs in about a week playing this game, and the best part is that it was a fun process, and I keep wanting to play despite my sore arms!!!

You have to have a right expectation though. Although the control does give you an excellent 1-to-1 representation most of the time, sometime it does get out of whack (but you can quickly readjust during the game by pressing "o" button). Aside from some basic punches (straight, upper cut, hooks...etc)and easy special moves, other advanced moves are hard to pull off especially if you haven't built enough character attributes. Also the game is simple and straightforward keep training to get stronger and beating up various opponents. No fancy storyline or breathtaking graphics...etc

But if you just want to workout sweating & getting your heart pumping while having lots of fun (assuming you don't mind this type of violence), I highly recommend this game!!

Update (12/11/2010) It's been about one month since I started playing this game. I beat all the opponents, but replaying them is still super fun, and now I have added this as a part of my daily workout routines. I was never this disciplined and persistent with workout until I started playing this game because of the fun factor. It guaranteed to make me push the envelop because you really don't want to get beaten up in the game and you will fight for your life without realizing how exhausted you are until the fight it over! As a result, about 20 min into the game (5 or 6 fights), I am soaked with sweat completely exhausted, and then hit the shower, a nice way to conclude a workout. Now I am 8 lbs lighter (from 193 to 185 lbs)than I was a month ago, and with this pace, I am sure i will shed a few lbs more. Online play is super fun, but it's tough, and you need to be well prepared through practice. Oh, they released a patch that makes the fighter semi-transparent, which is a highly welcomed feature. It helps you see the opponent punches better, which helps you fight more strategically. Also, there are several different viewing angles, and once in a while, you play in a different angle, and it will give you a completely different feel for the game, which is very refreshing. I really hope they make a sequel with other scenes (maybe more bright settings this time?) and stronger and smarter fighter with various styles. Also, it might be even more fun if it adds some elements of arcade and humor as this version is very dark and serious. I will gladly pay $60 for it.

The game was pretty good I was happy when it arrived as I having been waiting to receive it. The shipping was right on time and the seller even provided tracking. The only complaint I would have is that the disc was not attached to the little handle inside the case. Must've been the mail carriers doing a bad job at handling. Overall the game worked great.

The graphics on the Playstation 3 version of this game are a travesty considering the console it was made for. The graphics would be considered a bit less than average on even a Playstation 2 console. Wall-E is not much more than a cube with a low-res wallpaper on it. Other characters don't fare that much better. While they aren't polygonal looking as Wall-E they still aren't up to snuff graphically. Even though The backgrounds are serviceable they are nothing near the potential of what the console can do. Debris effects hearken back to the original Playstation days. This is very sad considering all of the potential that can be had considering the source.

The game itself is a decent 3-D platformer that gives you various puzzles to solve. The solutions of these puzzles aren't all that obvious and can challenge you to a little logical thinking, but aside from that the game doesn't travel new ground. Seems more like just repeating puzzle after puzzle. I never felt that connected to the story because of it.

All in all the kids may enjoy it and once the price goes down it should be worthwhile. At this moment I can't really endorse it considering there are much better platform games out there that do take strides in making a good looking PS3 game with an engaging story like Ratchet and Clank. Wall-E doesn't endeavor to anything more than capitalize on the movie franchise.

My most advanced game system before my PS3 was a Super Nintendo, so I'm always amazed by the graphics. I bought Wall-E because I liked the demo that I downloaded from the PlayStation Store. Once you figure out the general routine of what to do in the game, most of the frustration goes away, but there are still parts that I had to do over and over, almost ad nauseum, before I made it through. At least you have unlimited lives and your progress is saved often, so you don't have to do the whole level over. The best parts were flying around with Eve with the motion-sensing PS3 controller, unless you're like my wife and 3D first-person POV games make you sick. I think there are nine levels to the game, and each one can take a long time, especially if you try to find all the bonus items. But when I beat it, I had that "is that it?" feeling.

It's pretty basic, kind of short but tons of fun. I got hooked on it immediately. The characters are really cute and fun, the levels are straight forward and most important to me I didn't have to have much skill in aiming or firing a weapon like most games. Fun but I probably wouldn't recommend it new unless you could get it for cheap. Graphics weren't all that good. Game play was fine.

Ya know, I'm going to start off by saying this: I'm not the biggest of Gundam fans. I haven't seen an entire series all the way through. Unicorn on the other hand was short enough for me to finish. After that I noticed there was a game.

For a Japanese import it was quite cheap. Cheap enough for a non Gundam fan? Maybe... The Story mode isn't much. I believe it only goes up to episode 4. It's mainly pictures with a VO for the story. The story missions have some cut scenes however.

The true gem lies in the Custom Cast mode. It is quite challenging. Pick your pilot, your Gundam, your weapon, your emblem, your ship, your captain, your crew, your teammates, their Gundam, and so on and so forth. I do admit, I spent hours upon hours grinding. You can upgrade a lot of things in this game. Your Gundams armor, defense, fuel use, fuel capacity, locking on, strength, it's built in weapons. Then you can upgrade the pilots and weapons. It's a lot of grinding.

The game looks pretty good. I mean, the Gundams are well polished, but some of the textures could be better. The rocks, ships, and other random things dont look too pretty. So when you see a cutscene that kind of hurts it. However with all that being said i recommend this. It was quite the experience.

As a mom who was worried that guitars would be stepped upon or sat upon, I have found that my sons have an easier time putting their RockBand guitars away now that they have a cool place to put them.

I needed something to put my mics and guitars on, and this does exactly that. It's not fancy by any means, but well worth the price tag. The guitars stay in place well. The only problem I've had is the mic holders not staying in place, but that's probably my fault because I think there are sticky pads on the inside of them and I didn't take the tape off.

Overall a good purchase.

Its a decent stand. however, it is to long for the new Guitar Hero(warriors of rock) controller to fit in. The microphone holders are also not very snug to the guitar tree, so your microphones might have issues with sliding down to the bottom.

this product is a pain in the butt, falls apart when you try to pick it up. it holds the guitars fine, but the bottom pieces come lose over time and just picking it up to move from one side of the room to the next makes the whole thing fall apart.

I just bought a ps3 slim 2 weeks ago. I wanted the original phat ps3, but the gamestop rep said not to bother with a "gamestop refurb," so I got the Black Ops Slim. The original ps3 looks much nicer with the Piano black, whereas the ps3 slim is an ugly duckling. In order to fix the looks, I bought this skin. Once applied, the skin looks great! There is enough of the skin to cover every part of the ps3, even the bottom and most of a controller (comes with 2 controller skins.). It took me about 15 minutes just for the top part because it's the biggest part. Take your time and it will come out really nice. I posted some pictures of mine above.

If you take your time putting the decals on, it ends up looking pretty nice. It's also very easy to mess something up even just slightly, and it'll end up looking pretty stupid. The decals are EXACTLY the same size as the piece they're for, any slight stretching will make the piece thinner and leave black showing on the sides. It's easy for the decals to stick to themselves as your trying to apply them, and pulling them apart is tricky without stretching or tearing. I got a smaller decal for the controller stuck to the back of the big top piece, I had to peel it off with a knife and ended up with a tiny little bubble there once I applied it. When you apply them, make sure you use a credit card and dish soap solution they talk about in the instructions. Otherwise you'll have a lot of bubbles, and you definitely won't get it in the right place the first time you place it. The controller decals werent important to me, the one I did apply looks kind of dumb, they're even harder to apply.

Let me say I've always wanted a white ps3! Ordering one from Japan for at least $550.00 was not cost effective for me. Being as though my 2nd ps3 is not even a year old! That's where the skins came into play! The skin arrived on time and unwrinkled. Only put these skins on when you have the proper amount of time! If you rush, I could see how you could destroy the skin. Pulling and stretching the skin will make it lose it's shape! You don't want that because each piece is tailored to fit! Hint: this is not a two person job, but the extra eyes and hands helps with the application and saves time! End result you ask? Flawless white ps3! Everyone down to my wife ask me if I bought a new ps3! It's a great product! The white really stands on! Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention the controller decals suck. Don't waste you time! I just went and bought a white dual shock controller! It looks soooo real! Sorry I didn't post any pics but you get my drift! For anyone wanting to give their ps3 a face lift this is the way to go! Remember TAKE YOUR TIME during the application process! Now back to MW3!

This really adds a great look to your otherwise boring PS3. A few things to keep in mind when applying:

-Take your time! The amount of effort you put in to the application is directly related to the end result.

-Use the spray bottle technique/card squegee technique. You're able to slide the pieces around instead of stretch them one they're on.

-It really helps if you have another person to help. Having another person helps with perspective.

-If you have a sweet bod with a plumage of chest hair like me, wear a shirt.....

The game is pretty good, it leaves you with a good feeling, like after you eat a slice of cheesecake. There is a lot of room for improvement, however, for an old game as this, can't complain. The limited edition is pretty sweet, love the action figure.

I will admit that run and gun is fun for a while, but realism is what makes a tactical shooter game, especially a WWII-based game, more appealing to me. Each mission requires you to think tactically in order to complete each operation successfully. You can even reload the level and try a different tactical maneuver. I encourage everyone to try the game first on the easy level just to get use to the controls. They are slightly different from your traditional shooter setups. Second, after completing the easy setting, try it again on Normal difficulty, and if you are really adept, try the authentic mode where all assistance is turned off and requires a higher skill level to complete. The enemy AI on the Normal and Authentic difficulty settings will definitely challenge you. One shot can kill you so no heroes are made here. The game has a high replay value in my opinion, since the enemy AI does not behave the same each time.

I'm still playing and enjoying this game long after buying it. Although I wish the controls hadn't been changed from the first two (PS2) games and were more like most of the other games I play, I've gotten used to them. More importantly, the story of this game makes sense, and the opportunity to move 2 fire teams into a position that allows me to flank the enemy adds to the game's challenge, fun and satisfaction. Anyone who enjoys playing WWII games, great music, an engrossing story, and challenging game play should enjoy this game. At this point, my main disappointment is that the Battle of the Bulge sequel has not been released.

Im a long time metal listener, and I have a wide range of metal tastes, but it seems like someone who doesn't know much about metal put this together. Theres a few bands on here that aren't even considered metal bands(Queens of the Stone Age, I Mother Earth, Hawkwind) and they managed to leave out a few major genres of metal, like Black Metal. For those that dont know Black Metal and Death Metal were pretty much the predominant metal genres of the 90's. So apparently it made sense to them to include some non-metal bands at the expense of including ANY black metal at all. Lame.

So lets go through some fundamental metal genres and see if any of the widely recognized major acts were included:

The "big 4" of Thrash Metal:

Anthrax? Nope

Megadeth? Nope

Metallica? Nope

Slayer? Nope

Major Death Metal Bands:

Morbid Angel? Nope

Death? Nope

Cannibal Corpse? Nope

Obituary? Nope

Major Melodic Death Metal Bands:

At the Gates? Hey! theres one!

Dark Tranquility? Nope

In Flames? Nope

Children of Bodom? Ok! thats two! But why this song?

Major Black Metal Bands:

Emperor? Nope

Mayhem? Nope

Burzum? Nope

Immortal? Nope

Major Original Heavy Metal Bands:

Black Sabbath? Nope

Judas Priest? Hey! thats 3!

Iron Maiden? Nope

Motorhead? Ok! thats 4!

Major 80's Glam Metal Bands:

Motley Crue? Nope

Ratt? Nope

Skid Row? Nope

Europe? Nope

Major Power Metal Bands:

Iced Earth? Nope

Blind Guardian? Nope

Stratovarius? Nope

Helloween? Nope

Major Progressive Metal Bands:

Dream Theater? Nope

Opeth? Nope

Symphony X? Nope

Nevermore? Nope

Major Doom Metal Bands:

My Dying Bride? Nope

Katatonia? Nope

Paradise Lost? Nope

Anathema? Nope

I could go on and on with other metal genres but you get the point. I understand that they cant include everything on this disk, but what is shocking is what they chose to put in INSTEAD of what I listed above. Some big genres aren't even represented on the disk. With such a wide selection of metal to choose from in this world they only decided to include a few, threw in some stuff that wasn't even metal in order to fill up a disk, and ignored a whole bunch of metal. This gets 2 stars because they at least got a few right, but for the most part this disk is way off. Metal is my favorite music genre and I dont even want this track pack! That says something!

These track packs are a great and fairly cheap way to get a bunch of songs into your RB3 and/or RB Blitz setlists. This one has some really great songs on it:

Godsmack--I Stand Alone

RATM--Bulls on Parade

BFMV--Waking the Demon

Lacuna Coil--Closer

Nazareth--Hair of the Dog

For the record, I typically just drum (Pro Hard/Expert) or play Blitz so thats how Im reviewing them.

I have the 80gb PS3 with the 4 USB ports and was excited when I saw that this item's description claimed it was compatible with my specific system. The Menu button (really a PS button) was stuck and kept opening and closing the PS menu repeatedly. I sent in a complaint, which resulted in an apologetic response and a replacement adapter which arrived in less than a week. Plugged it in to my PS3 after attaching it to my favorite PS2 pad, only to find the same error. Another complaint, and another prompt sincere apology, this time accompanied with a pre-paid mailing label to return the two converters as well as the promise of a full refund.

I recommend the seller for their wonderful customer service. I do not recommend this product if you are in the same boat as myself, in terms of specific system in possession.

I originally bought this to play Stepmania on PC with my Konami dance pad.

I knew it said PS3 adapter on the title, but it turns out that it actually does get recognized on pc, but it takes a while to work out the kinks.

BUT... for ps3, it worked like a charm. All I had to do was turn on my ps3, plug it in, and press the menu button and I was playing COD4 with a dance pad in no time!!! HAHA, anyway...

Summary: Great adapter for getting your PS2 dance pad to your PS3!

I assume that regular ps2 controllers also work on this adapter, but I haven't tested it.

I have been looking for a converter for the dance pad for 2 years. I originally had one that would not work and I could not get it to work. Then I heard that they were coming out with a DDR for the PS3 and assumed that the dance pad would work with the older PS2 games if you had a backwards compatible PS3. Sadly I was wrong. Then I decided to give this converter a try before I just decided to trade in my DDR game. It worked. I just got done playing and the converter works perfectly. There does not seem to be any lag and doing two arrows at the same time does work. I've read reviews for this product that says that it doesn't work so maybe it is the system, pad and game I'm using it with. Just in case I'm using the 80 gig PS3 with 4 USB ports. I was playing DDR supernova 2 with the dance pad that came with the bundle. I just wanted to let anyone know that from what I can tell the product works and works well.

I bought this product a few months ago. Compared to other PS2/PS3 adapters I've bought, this one actually works with my 40GB PS3 and my PS2 dance pad. I tried using it again and it did not light up (the lights blink like when a regular controller when it's is on). Opened it up and found some of the wires were not properly soldered in right. Two of the wires snapped off their points when I checked their connections, barely even had to pull on them. Some connections had a large amount of solder on them while other had barely any.

I would buy another one, but the price is a bit much for me as well. Other sites have the same product for ~$20; I would rather use that money to buy a new dance pad if that's the case, but my ~8 year old dance pad still works.

I'm glad I found a product that works, but the price is a bit steep for something that's fragile.

I was using it too hook up a dance pad to a PC and it was working great. After owning it for about two months it just stopped working, I tried different usb ports to see if it was the usb port that was the issue, no luck.

Pros: It worked for two months

Cons: It stopped working for no apparent reason after two months.

I recently got a PS2 slim and wanted to have improved picture and sound quality since I didn't feel the default composite cables were doing the job. I looked around for PS2 specific s-video cables, since my TV doesn't have component inputs, and I kept finding third party brands that didn't seem like a good idea.

Through research I found that all three Playstation releases can use the same cable to connect to a TV so I searched for PS3 S-video and found these.

The construction in them is great, because the cables are very thick and have gold plated contacts. They feel very strong and hopefully will last a long time. The cables also have shielding in them which prevents interference from nearby appliances and other cables they might be draped over.

As for picture quality increase, I found that there was a rather noticeable improvement in picture quality using these cables over the default cables that came with the system. Considering my TV doesn't have component cables, that makes these cables the best that I can get for my TV.

If you are looking to hook up a PS1, PS2, or even a PS3 to a SDTV that only has S-video as the best connection, then these are for you. If your TV has component cable inputs, I would recommend using those as they will provide better quality.

If you don't have a high definition television, this cable is essential if you want to read small text on games like Metal Gear Solid 4.

This cable is great for the PS3 for Svideo or component. High quality connectors with a grip that does not get too large to plug into tight spaces like audio/video switches. Many cables widen after the connector and make insertion into audio/video switch boxes difficult, this cable is not one of them. Very well designed.

Sincerely,

Ira Carmel.
