I use this to power a remote cisco switch. It supports netgear, cisco, linksys etc. if you have not split your cat 5 cable (eg into phone and 100mb) it should work fine.
Much cheaper alternative to running power or buying a PoE-generating switch and PoE-powered switch pair (which costs approx $300 from netgear).Purchased this POE for an outdoor camera. Works as advertized. If you have a device that is POE compatible, this is the device for you.
