This charger is super cheap and does a great job. You can plug it in anywhere to a wall socket and charge up your controllers -two at a time. Nice to not have to have your PS3 turned on just to charge up the controller.

This thing is great. I use it to charge my GPS unit, cell phone, playstation 3 controls,etc......... Definately worth buying! Gonna take it on vacation with me.
