This has to be the most broken Madden I have ever played. I starting doing drills because I thought it would be fun. So broken beyond belief. The game decides when you succeed and when you fail. It doesn't decide based on how you perform the drill correctly, but it decides when it feels like it. Example, I had to throw a LOB pass and I have played 10+ years of Madden to be pretty familiar with that pass. My receiver caught the ball and went into the end zone...fail. This happened for hours...and hours. It took all I had in me not to throw out the game. I eventually moved on to a regular game. So I caught the ball in the end zone and took 4 steps before going out of bounds...incomplete pass. I intercepted a throw...incomplete pass. I mean error after error with the game. That coupled with the freezing really did it for me. I love Madden and it seems that all they do is recycle traits from years ago and call it "new features". It isn't new...The drill scenario is in Madden 05. I am sick if Madden rushing through games. I want a game that works. Madden, I fought for you with last year's version but you have disappointed me yet again. Before writing this review, I played 12+ hours to make sure I was thorough. I will never buy another Madden again. I expect any game to have its little issues or quirks but come on Madden. I am tired of you recycling ideas, never truly fixing issues, and how you seem to never put real effort into making this game a good experience for its players.

This game is essentially useless. I've played it for two days, and three times already the game has frozen (meaning I've lost my progress in Franchise.) I shouldn't have to save the game every couple weeks or face losing everything I've done so far! Don't waste your money, trust me. Just keep playing last year's version.

DO yourself a favor and save your money. This installment of madden is the worst ever. Unrealistic in every aspect. Where should i start? NO matter whos the quarterback, the accuracy is the same. You can complete a game with a 100% pass completion. Defense doesn't exist, only bad offense exists. Every bad pass is an interception. The Running game is highly unrealistic. you can jump around better than a monkey. Spins after spins after spins. When tackled, you still keep running for at least another 5 yards. You can truck through a series of defenders. You can use stumble stick to balance yourself in any condition.

IN short, dont buy this game. Its another series of rip off

How can EA send out a game that doesn't even work? My game freezes at all random times in all of the modes I try to play...in three days I have only been able to play 2.5 games..I am ready to throw my game out in the trash. Come on EA get a clue and update the game so it is actually playable.

The reason I'm giving it two stars rather than one is simply due to the fact that the gameplay is much smoother than the last few Maddens. That's about the only positive I can think of. Here are some of my gripes: (Edit: After writing this review, I realized the game didn't deserve two stars regardless...)

It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to stop the read option (online). It's so overpowered that a guy ran it against me AS THE COLTS w/ Luck at QB, and I still couldn't stop it 9 times out of 10, even when I knew it was coming. Did I mention I was using the Bengals, and the Bengals have one of the best defenses in the league?

Also on options... Who remembers the Madden where you could option the ball while being thrown on the ground, and you could throw the ball through the defenders while they were tackling you? Well, IT'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Injuries... The current average for season ending injuries per game is just under two (like 1.8). The current average for game ending injuries is right at three.

KICK RETURNS... Had a guy return 4 kicks on me for TD's, and all of these returns were 107+ yards. The last game I played, the guy scored once on a KR, and he got to at least the 40 yard line 6 out of 8 times. This may be the most annoying part of the game.

Running QB's -Someone at EA wanted a return of the '04 Vick, so he made it ALL of them.

Breaking Contain -How often is a RB able to break contain in the NFL? McCoy might do it once or twice a game, and he's one of the best at it. How about being able to break contain pretty much every single time with just about any RB? Well, if that's you're thing, meaning you don't actually like football, you'll love this game!

There are more, but those are the main ones. Overall, this game feels very "arcadish." Most games are very high scoring, the best WR's and TE's are nearly impossible to stop, QB's are deadly accurate regardless of who it is: I had a 157.8 rating with Tannehill one game and a 144.1 rating with Kolb another game. In fact, Tannehill seemed more accurate than Rodgers and Brady...

Anyway, avoid this game at all costs. I had a feeling that I'd regret buying this as I have the last four (six?) years of Madden, and I can finally say goodbye to the Madden series. It's been a long and mostly good run, but you're way past your prime. Maybe you were never any good... Maybe the rising quality of games in general has shown you for what you truly are: ammunition manufactured solely for use at [dung] fights...

Au revoir, Madden. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. (Actually...)
