Okay we all know that good "Movie Games" are hard to find. Once in a while one is done right ( I, for one, loved the punisher game for the ps2) and this game is one of them. Wolverine is a lot of fun to play. There are a few lines from the movie so if you don't want to spoil anything then I suggest you wait until after to play the game. If you have seen the movie..well I think you will be pleasantly surprised. I was expecting it to be ripped straight from the film but there were a lot of differences and fresh story to play through. Comic fans will enjoy the various Wolverine costumes, cameos, and references to other characters. The game does live up to the Mature rating. The cut scenes are fantastic and there is a lot of action! I have only rented the game because I am usually weary of adaptation games, but already I have spent well over six hours playing...and I have only had it since this morning. I have found it to be very addicting considering I usually only clock in an hour or two at a time with most games. This could also be because I am desperately trying to get to the end so I can get the Deadpool trophy. I am disappointed that there isn't more of Wade in it but I suppose if I had it my way it would be nothing but The Deadpool Show! I have not finished the game yet so I do not know exactly how long it is but so far I am having a great time impaling enemies on spikes, solving puzzles, slicing through mountains of limbs, earning trophies, and enjoying the story. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I have had a few glitches while playing ( bodies and heads floating after being cut, and one time a cut scene didn't kick in so I had to go back to the last checkpoint.) Overall great game if you are a fan of Wolverine!

I had a great time with this game, but I tend to rate my games on more than one play-through. After all, what is the point doling out 60 bucks on a game if it lacks the second or third time through?

Overall, the game is really well made. The graphics are solid, and the gore is a nice touch. However, it takes more than some flashy graphics and flying blood to make a good game. Especially today, the game needs to EARN its sixty dollar price tag. To be honest, the game really IS well made. The controls are easy to pick up and barring a few annoying tendancies, such as being mid-combo and combo-ing yourself right off a ledge, the game allows you to hone your feral senses. It really IS like playing Wolverine. The voice acting is excellent and the "puzzles" are just challenging enough to give you time to pause and think.

That being said, this game has almost NOTHING to offer you once you beat it. It reminds me alot of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Once you unlock the alternate costumes which amounts to a handful...... there is nothing else. Just more of the same. I have been down this road before. The Force Unleashed was a fun game the first time through, now sadly it collects dust. To be honest it takes more than trophies to keep me going. Either the game has to vary enough each time through that it allows you to at least pretend it is bringing more to the table, or it has to be SO much fun each time through that you don't care that it's the same. Unfortunately, it is a pattern of kill a group of baddies, run to the next part, kill a group of baddies, kill a new type of baddie, run to the next group, rinse and repeat. Occasionally it is broken up by some pretty spectacular boss fights such as gunships or just very BIG baddies. I hate to go against the grain on this but I do not consider this to be a 4 or 5 star owner. It is a 4 or 5 star renter. A very well-made game with plenty of action to satisfy your bloodlust, but until this game hits the twenty or thirty buck mark, I'd recommend renting it when the need for violence takes you because on that ground, you'll find few better than this.

Okay, it's common knowledge that most movie games suck, however, every rule has it's exception. Wolverine Origins Uncaged is one of them. Let me start by saying that while the game doesn't offer the diversity of games like Zelda or Bioshock, it is one of the best hack 'n slash games I have played in the past several years.

Some people may try to comepare this to God of War, but it's actually a lot more like Ninja Gaiden 2 as far as the style of combat goes. Now it's true you don't have multiple weapons to choose from, but does that really matter, this game allows Wolverine to DISMEMBER enemies with his claws! Warning, if you are a parent, I really would not recommend this one for your 9 year old son. The rumors are correct, Wolverine does decapitate, dismember and disembowel enemies with his adamantium claws. Also, when Wolverine takes damage, it shows and it also shows as it heals. Players can also upgrade wolverine with increased claw damage, healing factor, and multiple combat and rage attacks.

Fun game, new enemies every level, challenging, but not impossible, overall good solid game. I really haven't found anything to complain about yet.

This is a game that is surprisingly good. It is probably one of the best movie-tie-in games ever made. But those games tend to trend to the abysmal. The game follows the plot of the movie in loose way but features characters and events not portrayed in the movie.

PRO's:

1) Extremely fun and engaging combat system.

2) Wolverine's abilities seem accurately reflected in the game. The regeneration system works well. You can see him heal in front of your eyes. The claws damage most enemies as you might expect.

3) RPG elements are fun. The upgrades work and you do become more powerful as you progress.

4) Excellent voice-acting and plot.

CON's:

1) Some repetitive boss fights. It gets pretty tiresome jumping on big dudes' backs and stabbing them in the hump.

2) Incredibly frustrating timed platforming with controls that are subpar for platforming. (For example in good 3d platformers such as Assassin's Creed 2, or Prince of Persia, trying to jump off a platform and mistiming the jump results in your walking to the edge and stopping, or catching yourself. In this game you just walk off the edge. Also, most platforming in this game seems to require double jumps, which is tuned overly tightly, making it very difficult to execute.) Overall the platforming seemed nonsensical. Wolverine can leap 30 yards to stab an enemy, but without that enemy his range seems to be 5 yards.

3) Some poorly spaced checkpoints which force you to repeat long tedious sections in even of failure. Although for the most part the checkpoints were pretty decent.

4) Somewhat subpar graphics for a PS3 game.

Overall, the game was pretty awesome for anyone who is a wolverine fan. It also is fun to replay, with the exception of the platforming parts.

In the world of "movie to video game" disasters, we've come to steer clear of new movie games. After watching Wolverine in the theater, I knew that this game had potential, it was just a matter of whether they would harness this potential or destroy another good idea. Let me be the first to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how great this game really was! From start to finish, this game had me hooked!

First off, let me start with the controls. I have to say that this was one of the easiest games to pick up, pop in and start playing. From the beginner moves, to the rage moves, the controls are very easy to learn and master. Personally, there is nothing worse than a new game that takes 5 hours just to learn how to move your character.

The graphics and "screen play" type action sequences are great! The game is your basic "flash-back, flash-forward" type scenario. It keeps in line with the comic books and movie (so that is a plus), but also has some other plots to keep the game fresh. The game does live up to its mature (M) rating though, so keep that in mind if you are considering this for your younger gamers. Plenty of gore to go around in the Uncaged Edition.

As for game play/time, it took me a little less than 10 hours to beat the game on medium difficulty. But please keep in mind I spent a lot of time wandering for items to achieve the trophies for this game. If you are looking at this game because of trophies, it will take a minimum of two play throughs for the platinum (once on medium and once on hard, maybe another play through for straggling trophies you may have missed).

Overall, I loved this game! From the cut scenes, to the puzzles, to the slicing and dicing, to the trophies and the pure enjoyment of the game play! If you are a big fan of the Wolverine comics, you will love this game! If you are a fan of slice and dice games, you will love this is as well! Or, if you are just looking for an action/adventure game with some killing, then this is the game for you. Enjoy! I know I did.

This cable is as cheap as it's price. First time I tried to remove the cables from the port on my TV the red and yellow end popped off the cable. Now it is worthless. Spend a few more bucks and get a decent cable or better yet, connect via HDMI.

This drum set is a great value for under $30. If you have Guitar Hero World Tour (PS3) it works great, thats why I bought it. The software automatically converts the game play to 4 spaces from 5 (since guitar hero world tour drums have 5 drum pads, and this has only 4). If you're considering buying guitar hero world tour drums, not only will you spend $80 more on ebay for them, they don't work as good. I've played both a good amount and the symbols on the guitar hero drums set often fail to respond. You have to hit them just right, its very annoying. Just type "symbol problem guitar hero drums" in google and you'll see many people complaining about this issue. Another issue with the guitar hero drum set is that it doesn't have a bar to hold the bass kick in place. I have to commonly pause the game to readjust it. This one does have a bar, and the all of the drum pads work every time. If they cost the same I'd still buy this one.

My reccomendation, buy guitar hero world tour bundble (often available for $60 many places) add this for $27, and add a mic for $15, you get the whole set for about $100, can't beat that.

Pro: Compatible with guitar hero world tour ps3, inexpensive, very responsive, Pretty sturdy set for the money, has bar for bass kick.

Cons: Its wired, which isn't a big deal for me, and it doesn't have the symbols (which are fun when they work). I've read alot of reviews about the bass kick breaking, but I've used mine alot for about month with no problem.

Conclusion: If you own guitar hero world tour (ps3) you should buy this drumset.

This is the old version of the drums. They do not work with the cymbals and do not work with "PRO" mode on Rock Band 3 (you need the Cymbals for that). It's nearly impossible to find affordable RB2 or RB3 drums, so you may have to settle on these. They're not a very good value for $90.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my 12 year old son. He had ask for Rock Band 2 for Christmas and I had a hard time finding this item in the local stores. He thinks it is awesome and plays it everyday. The drums do come with two drum sticks.

My son loves this game and plays it more than any other. I rate it a 5 for fun but a one overall as it is expensive and is not made very well. The bad thing about this drum set is the foot pedal. It is cheap and not very sturdy. As a matter of fact the drum set that I just purchased less than a month ago already has a broken foot pedal. This is the second broken foot pedal for us in a three month period . Contacting the mfg is difficult and getting it replaced is difficult. They really need to make a better pedal and also should make it so that the pedal can be purchased as a separate component with buying a complete new drum set. Look on the Internet under "rock band drum pedal" and see how many people have had the same problem with breakage.

The strongest part of 2K has always been presentation, and they really took it to the next level with 2K12. The court looks amazing, the players seem twice as real and detailed, even with 2K11 doing a pretty good job last year. No more alien faces or generic-looking bench players. The soundtrack is the best I've heard on a basketball game.

Now for the gameplay: The movement is much smoother and feels considerably more realistic. Ball physics are slightly improved, but still not great in my opinion. One thing that really annoyed me in 2k11 was how you would swipe at the ball and knock it loose, but the AI would always grab it before you could. This flaw is minimized, but still exists. The shots are smoother, but it's hard to get used to each player's different release. Proximity of a defender seems to have little to no effect on whether a jump shot goes in or not. I find that I make more contested shots that open ones. I had a wide open fastbreak layup to win the game and the PG completely missed it. Once you get position in the post, it's much easier to make a shot, but it's also extremely difficult to guard the post on defense. I've quadruple-teamed guys several times down low and somehow they got it to go in, followed by the commentator saying how porous my defense is and how wide open the paint was. Defense, even on Pro and even Rookie, is much more difficult than in previous games. Staying in front of the ball-handler is nearly impossible, and it's too easy to accidentally run past your man. My team doesn't seem to listen to the defensive control pad sometimes. I'll tell them to "lock down paint" and they run out to the perimeter to double-team the PG and leave the paint vulnerable to a 1-on-3 mismatch. Also, blocks happen much more frequently and the AI seems to have a slight advantage on the boards, particularly on the offensive end.

In conclusion, this game looks amazing. The presentation will blow you away. The gameplay is fun, but will certainly take some getting used to. I've played a lot of NBA games, and I've found it really hard to win in this game, even on Pro. Some of the AI's impossible makes, especially in the paint, can be frustrating, as can some wide open misses. The defense got the biggest revamp, and I'm not sure whether I like it or not, but it's certainly more difficult. The modes have been improved, but are basically the same, with the addition of create a legend. If you're a die hard fan, you will probably love this game. If you're a casual fan, you might find it somewhat frustrating. Still, I give props to 2K for trying to improve significantly even after 2K11's success. Rosters will be updated if and when the lockout ends. Grab this game to fill that empty void left by the lack of actual NBA basketball.

This is a review from a big fan of "classic" NBA, the great teams and great players from days gone by. So as you would expect I looked forward to this title with much eagerness and got it on day one. And when I first played it I was in awe of the packaging, the cosmetic touches used to recreate some of the great all-time teams and rivalries in NBA history. The graphics are great for a basketball game (aside from the occasionally odd animation or player rendering) and the presentation is heads-and-shoulders above any sports game that I have ever played.

But when I got past the cosmetic some intense frustration with the game play quickly followed. Much like last year's iteration the passing system is just incredibly bad. I know they wanted to create a sense that in order to acquire steals you needed to play the passing lanes etc., and they wanted the defenses you play to be operating in this way as well to enhance realism. The problem is that you have no ability to determine what sort of pass you throw (bounce pass, lob, etc.) and so you are left up to the mercy of the game's passing logic to try and make the best pass available for a given situation, only it makes absolutely horrible choices most of the time. You will see a a wide open teammate and attempt to pass him the ball with the PG (not a poor passer and not on the run but at a complete stop) only to have it sail over his head or to a player on the opposing team. This makes running a fast-breaking offense like the 80's Lakers anywhere near efficiently a nearly impossible task. Hell, simply running a conservative offense I still garnered double digit turnovers each game.

Another significant problem is the seemingly sheer randomness of most button presses when attempting to do pretty much anything in this game. You think by pressing a button designated "shoot" you would then release a shot, but often that is not the case as you may find yourself thrust into an animation where you shove your shoulder into another player to create space (where you really didn't seem to need any additional space I might add) and not shoot the ball but rather hang on to it until you press it at least two more times (the other press causes you to then pump fake) by which time you have been blown for a three second lane violation. This is far from a rare occurrence as random animations seem to be the rule of the day in NBA 2k12, and despite what is advertised I have found them to rarely be "interruptible".

Driving the lane is usually an effort in futility as there is apparently an invisible force field that the opposing teams players can extend past their bodies to prevent your player from going past. I am playing with Michael Jordan on one memorable occasion and I have the baseline and plenty of room to get by the other player and he doesn't move his feet and cut me off (at least according to what I saw) I merely am unable to proceed past him and instead shoot a fall away jumper. Supposedly you can use "isomotion" dribble moves to penetrate, but I found these to be so maddeningly complicated and inconsistent (this particular motion does this one move this time and then another move another time etc.) that I have given up anything beyond the most basic.

Also the game is extremely glitchy. Teams that I have unlocked via the "Legends" mode will later be re-locked with it no longer registering that I did indeed won those games and unlocked those teams. I put in code that was available with purchase to unlock a couple of teams (and that was tedious as the server was down for like two weeks) and now I find I have to redo the entire process.

Those are perhaps minor complaints compared to the sheer frustration this game is to play at times. Passing and shooting the ball are the basics for any basketball game and when you can't get that right then all the packaging in the world isn't going to make it a good game.

okay, i bought 2k11 last year as soon as it came out. Played 2 MP's and a lot of exhibition/online games last year. I would say this is my most played game aside from the far off blackops.That said, i think im a decently experienced 2k basketball player. 2k12 has a lot of the things that we as gamers wished 2k11 had, but it also has a lot of annoying flaws and under-developed new features. I understand that not everything is always perfect with games (specially with only 1 year) but i hate how people keep telling others to wait for the "patch". Why should a patch fix the incredibly bad passing? Didn't we let 2k know about this last year? Bad lop passes last year, so now this year our guy tries to through it through his defenders face. nice -_ It was too easy to get into the paint and dunk. After 10 games played my layups end in blocks 60% of the time. How i get blocked by a C who has his back turned to me and is running in the other direction i don't know. Taking away the crew mode? fail. Why play MP if you can't show your guy off? Okay, so people hack and cheese...they do that in normal online.I wish instead of just avoidin the problem they had implemented ways to limit cheating.New training camp? awesome! I have to go through all of the shooting drills to get to the last one (the only want i want to practice) not so smart. Online association? Awesome! It lags worse than normal association, not awesome. Improved ball handling and more "realistic" gameplay? GReat! My ball handler bouncing the ball off his teammates foot twice a qt? annoying. I think the realism isn't the problem here, more along the lines of still crappy A.I. Teammates still tend to do REALLY dumb things and like i read on some reviews the game needs Base offense,defense plays that run when no plays are called. Overall, while 2k12 will probably feel better than 2k11 i think this game is not worth the 60 i spent on it. I could of stayed with 2k11 for a few more months and then bought it for 40 or even 20 :/ maybe instead of 2k13 they should go for 2k14 and not rush games.

They were kinda difficult to get on but once they were on, they fit well and worked as advertised. I give them a three because once they are on they will not fit in any kind of charger stand. Since they are so hard to get on and off I had to give up on them becuase trying to charge four different items without a charger stand is too much. However if you don't charge your move controllers with a charger stand I would say they work great.

I really enjoyed the first game but this one surpasses it in every way, The Fighting is better, The World is better and quite a bit bigger, and is just plain better. The story is on par with the first games story and takes place at the same time so there isn't a whole lot of spoilers if you haven't played the first but there is at least one big spoiler from the first game that you may run into so I would recommend playing the first Darksiders before this one.

I was really impressed by what they did with this game. This one is more like an Action RPG. You acquire more armor in this game so you can customize the way you look, There are several different styles for the Armor, boots, Guantlets, and Shoulders. There are also different Scythes and secondary weapons, when it comes to secondary weapons there is a pretty big variety. You can choose from Axes, Maces, Glaives, Claws, Hammers, and Gauntles, I may be missing one but the selection is really good for changing up your fighting style whenever you want. The Fighting in this game is action packed, especially in boss battles they are awesome and I always got on the edge of my seat just filled with excitment.

The world itself I would say is about 3 times larger then the first game maybe even larger. This game is definitley more open world and the scenery is just beautiful and also has dark scenery like the first game which is really cool mixture.

Now to review the Collectors Edition.

ART BOOK: of course has some great art in it and is great to look at, alot of cool concept art in there.

SOUNDTRACK: This game has a wonderful soundtrack that was created by Jesper Kyd who is a great composer, The music is quite beautiful and he just did a really good job at making music suit the game.

DEATH MASK: The mask is the best part of the Collectors edition, It is very detailed and just looks great, It comes with a stand so it makes a really good decoration for your room.

Well thats the end of my review, I could say more but I will leave it at that. I highly recommend this game if you played the first even if you weren't a big fan of it this one is quite the improvement. I definitley recommend the Darksiders series to anyone who hasn't played them, they are great games and are a very enjoyable experience.

Awesome game with a lot of content that will keep you busy for a long time. Collector edition contains death mask (its not made from resin, its made from plastic), three codes (Soundtrack which you can download three time, Argul DLC-still in production-, and a full armor set only available in the collector edition).Also, there is an art book (the art is done by vigil team, but mostly by the awesome Joe mad.

*Disclaimer: This is a review for the packaging! I am still in the process of finishing the first game!*

I just got my copy earlier. The box Amazon put it in was BIG. There was also ample air packets to cushion the box, so I have no problems with Amazon here. Good job.

My issue was that the actual box that the game came in was really flimsy. The carton itself was the same as the one used in slipcases. There was only one layer of carton, and it bent easily to the weight of the contents.

The plastic that holds the mask itself was fine mine was unharmed. However, the artbook and the game case is held up by a thin carton that was supported by the same plastic that held the mask, and their combined weight pushed this thin carton down on the main box, creating a bulging line at the bottom of the rear. The main box has basically lost its "collector's value".

It would have been better if the main box had just been corrugated, and the artbook/game case rested on an individual stand and not on the mask's plastic support.

I've played loads of action games, ps1 and up and until i hit my worst fear i was enjoying the game fully then because of my slow reflexes this game is no longer fun and more of a do not try title. Now the collectors edition is awesome. This got 2 stars because it totally ruins the game for me to have a button mashing mini game integrated into the gameplay other than that its an awesome game and worth a rental not ownership.

as a HUGE fan of the streetball games i was given this one as a gift because i have already beaten all the "NBA Street" games.. and let me tell you that the "NBA Street" games are a thousand times better than this garbage.

not only is this game very dumb but it doesnt let you do what you wanna do. and what i mean by that is for example.. when i shoot a 3 everyone jumps to block it.. INCLUDING MY OWN GUY! as well as when your doing your "combo moves" its impossible to control where hes going once you get him started.. and even though you cant go out of bounds you lose the ball

and story mode is complete garbage.. the horrible controls and stupid combo moves that you HAVE to do to beat the challenges make it near impossible.. like coming back from 22 down with 3 minutes left (and you have to win by 2) and even if you shoot 3's all day it doesnt matter because you didnt find the 5 hidden dunk moves.. but does it tell you you have to? nope i had to read stupid walk throughs and other customer complaints..

i guess this game could be fun if it made a few minor adjustments or if youve never played the real streetball games.. but either way this game is not worth it unless you only wanna play 1v1 or 1v1v1 or 2v2(which is pretty bad because of the controls)

like i said the "NBA Street" series is the absolute best series if you want to play "streetball" i suggest that..

I enjoy playing Ballers. Up to four people can play, which raises the competition level a high. What I don't like about the game is that there only a selective few of legends to choose from. Of course, no Michael Jordan. But other than that I enjoyed the game.

Unlike other reviewers, I'm going to base my rating on what the game offers, not what could have offered.

Positives:

1 The game offers a bunch of driving aids for n00bs.

2 The graphics are fantastic even though the output is only 720p you will be amazed when the rain starts to pour down.

3 The tracks and the environment around them are perfectly detailed.

4 The presentation is 99% TVlike. Including displays, commentary, camera angles, etc.

5 You can set up the car just the way you want. You can change more than 15 aspects, including the basics (tires, wing, brakes) and advanced (camber, gear ratio, brake bias).

6 The online mode is really entertaining. There are a bunch of options that allow you to enjoy the race without getting bothered by n00bs or a-holes.

7 You can earn rewards like tracks and cars by playing the different game modes (career, single race, time trial, etc).

The only negative thing I could find is the difficulty mode. Easy mode is too easy, and medium feels almost impossible, forget about difficult, you'll never see the cars infront of you again. And also, when racing in the dark, either dusk/dawn, the track is almost impossible to see, even in hd. You'll have to guess your way around the track for the career mode tests.

Of course as an avid f1 fan I would have liked to see more things included in the game, the pace car, corner workers, marshalls, etc. But that will not stop you from having a heck of a time with this game.

The game was released incompleted, packaged just with the basic funcionality for F1 game. SOME flaws:

1) No replays, unless during the race, we can't get a save not even for one lap.

2) No Pace Car and poor managing the accidents events.

3) Pit stops are dummy, we need to press the 4 controler buttons, when it should be done for itself.

4) No race delegates with flags anywhere, not even crossing the line for chess flag, nobody waving a flag there, just a symbol in top of screen, very poor.

5) Running outside the track and eating the sand or grass don't bring much trouble to car speed or performance.

6) Chase right in back of another car don't shows very good air tunnel effect.

7) Multiplayer: US version DON'T allow on-line play with EURO version and vice-versa !?!?

8) Crashed cars (our ours) disapear from track moments after accident or other event that not allows to proceed in race. Big flaw. If we see one accident, in next lap the track is completely CLEAN, not a clue if any accident happen there. (I raced one lap where I saw one car engine blowing in front of me and when I turn I saw it disapear and I got up one position in race, not realistic at all.

9) I tested Logitech Wheel (Driving Force Pro) with it, no Force Feedback at all.

...and many others flaws, not to forget its based on 2006 championship, not allowing us to update/customize drivers or team names.

...BUT, the game is the best F1 game ever, provides lots of fun and is addictive, mainly because PS3 power provides it, visualy and speed almost make us forget the flaws. This game need to return to dev time and should came a new version as UPGRADE for F1 owners, as its really incomplete.

My 4 starts goes mainly for the addictive fun we can get from it. Gameplay = good but imperfect, Simulation = far form reality.

We can just hope the 2007 version with all the flaws fixed and some extra bonus for all people who got this dated 2006 version.

I am addicted, plain and simple. I am a big NASCAR fan. I don't follow Formula 1 on TV, but when I saw the demos for this game and the graphics of those demos, I was hyped to give this a try. I was not disappointed. The look of this game is AWESOME, the physics of the game are AWESOME, the adaptability and varying modes for this game are FREAKIN AWESOME !! There are so many options that make this game appealing to hardcore racing sim lovers and newbies alike !! I am so used to EA's cheesy NASCAR games where cars flip 4 times and recover with no damage and finish the race. This may sound weird, but having experienced that, I was thrilled when I braked late in this game and destroyed the front of my car. BAM and I am out of the race, the way it oughta be !! Now, that may frustrate me later, but right now, the realism is exciting.

Another cool point...I was driving and made a turn going down a straightaway and I suddenly found myself mad at the game because I couldn't see hardly where I was going because the sun was in my eyes...but then I thought....holy cow, the SUN IS IN MY EYES !! Like it would be in a real driver's eyes !! Talk about realistic !!

The speed in this game is also very realistic, you actually FEEL just how fast you are supposed to be going. The sounds and environment are great also.

Bottom Line: This is one of the games to use to show off your new PS3 !! We had to wait a bit for this game, but it was worht it. If you are a fan of racing games at all, then stop reading, grab the wallet and head to the game store to get F1 Championship Edition !!

After a long wait, F1 is finally back to the US in the best format available: PS3. A lot has been sad of graphics and sound, but when it comes to recreate a sport that is son technical, Sony has done an outstanding job. By now, it is obvious that this is no arcade game. I've tried several F1 games in the past, but none capture the essence of the sport, specially when EA sports was in charge of licensing. Car setup is very detailed. I haven't seen this amount of options available since the PC game Gran Prix II from Micropose, back in 1992. Starting from the downforce all the way down to manage individual gear ratios, this game takes the simulation to a next level.

Unlocking classic race cars from the past was my favorite feature. Driving a Lotus and just enjoying the sound of those V8 engines is simply priceless. Great detail too!

Minor details could be improved, such as more commentaries from the pits and commentators, a better celebration at the end, or a more interactive pit stop. None of these however, will change the fact that the game rocks.

One thing that could improve though, is the multiplayer options. There is no mic option available, and the interface is a bit confusing. Trying to get realistic is a challenge, for example, if somebody ignores a pit stop and rans out of gas, he will just be re spawned in the track with more gas. The lenght should be bigger, I know there are several fans dying to try a full scale race, with the actual qualifying session. For what the games costs nowadays, multiplayer support should be something to keep in mind. Anyway, this games is 99% solo game, career mode is quite a challenge. Simply the best F1 simulator out there.

Just wanted to make sure that people are aware that the only way to play this game with other people is to play them online or through a "lan." There is no way for two people to play if they are in the same room with each other and you have one console with two controllers.

Seems weird for a game to discourage playing with people with whom you might have a genuine relationship and to encourage playing with people who you are less likely to know. Actually, seems kind of stupid. Just an FYI.

When you see the roster that this game offers, you immediately see the selling point of the game. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing about the entire game. Rather than take the Raw Vs. Smackdown 2009 control scheme, this game gives you a horrible tiered-fighting scale that only opens moves as you progress in attacking your opponent. Forget the hip-tosses or flipping off the top rope you could do before, you are allowed to punch and kick here...and that's pretty much it.

As a result almost every wrestler fights the same way to start out. As you begin to win a match, you get a few "custom" moves to the character open up, but it's nothing to write home about. If it wasn't for the fact that this game finally offered the dream roster of players (minus Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, and Dynamite Kid--all of whom were involved in key Wrestlemania matches). You also get actual video of some of the matches represented here and the chance to change the outcome of said matches. Again, a cool addition in theory, but very poorly executed.

This game will probably drop in price quickly since it has such a horrible control system. Why they didn't just take the existing controls of Raw vs. Smackdown I'll never know...especially considering the fact that you can import characters from that game if you wish.

A great roster with authentic entrances (for the most part) gets this game 3 stars. That's the only positive thing about it.

Some are suggesting that this game suffers from having controls that differ from that of the Smackdown! vs Raw series. To be honest, that is one of the qualities i enjoy most about this game. It isn't trying to be SvR2009, nor should it. As great as the SvR controls are, they do come off as a bit stale. Legends offers a new and refreshing control scheme, and i for one welcome it.

I am not suggesting that the controls in Legends are better, in fact i do prefer SvR overall. Although, i like that the controls in Legends are different. Also, being of the 80's generation, i will take the Legends roster over anything SvR has to offer on their best day.

The control scheme in Legends of Wrestlemania relies more on timing, and less on learning complicated controls. So it is much easier to just pick up and play. Some SvR enthusiast's may consider these controls to be dumbed down for mass appeal. While i do see their point, i also believe that the timing based controls provide a better flow for the game, even better than SvR to some extent.

The roster is impressive, but not extensive. There are around 40 legends, with some very obvious ones left out. You can import your SvR2009 roster, but i think that only compromises the nostalgic experience. Hell in a Cell feels a little out of place here, since most of the wrestlers in the game were long retired when that match type came to be.

If anyone here remembers the extremely disappointing Legend's of Wrestling series, I would say you would certainly be better served playing this instead.

I grew up watching the WWF in the late 80's and early 90's and then got back into it when I was in college with the dawn of the "Attitude Era". It's a product that I fall in and out of love with. When I heard about this game the love affair was back on!

I think the last time I purchased a WWE video game was the first installment of the `Raw VS. Smackdown' series but I went out and purchased the 2009 version to help get me ready for `Legends of Wrestlemania'. With the overhaul of the controls my preparation was rendered nearly useless but I did utilize the `roster port' feature which brings the majority of the superstars of `Smackdown VS Raw 2009'.

There have been many negative reviews about the roster and the control set up. Personally, I think the roster is about 95% dead on. The notable omissions of Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Tito Santana, Rick Martel, Demolition, Slick, Sensational Sherri and Earthquake among others are regrettable but not enough for me to dismiss this game as a failure.

The controls were a little weird at first but I found using the L stick exclusively for movement and using the D-Pad for executing holds made for a more intuitive and fluid experience.

The graphics are great and seeing the entrances and celebrations with the old school music brings a smile to my face almost every time.

Every Wrestlemania arena from 1-15 (including Caesar's Palace for Wrestlemania IX) are faithfully recreated aside from the extra long entrance aisles of Wrestlemania's III, IV, V, VI and VIII. A vintage Royal Rumble arena is also available.

Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler provide a good commentary although I though it would be more fun to have snippets of classic wrestler specific commentary as provided by the great voices of the past like Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, Jesse Ventura, Vince McMahon. Also, finding a way to sneak in Mean Gene Okerlund and Lord Alfred Hayes would have been great as well.

The `Relive', `Rewrite', and `Redefine' modes are fun additions. I have played all three and they all have a more epic feel than the standard exhibition matches. You have the option of completing certain tasks during the match that re-create, move for move, these classic matches. Each of these matches is preceded by a video of WWE footage showing what led up to the confrontation and highlights from the match itself.

As an old-school WWF fan I think the game is a blast. The graphics are great, almost all of the old original entrance themes are here, and the game modes are very addictive and rewarding. Hopefully an expansion pack will be made available in the near future which will feature new wrestlers, managers and a new venue or two.

A great game for those who loved wrestling during the golden age of the WWF.

I'm going to make this brief... I've bought every WWE video game that has ever been released going back to the original Wrestlemania game for the Nintendo. Some are much better than others, but this one has to be the most disappointing game in a long time.

Following the release of the Smackdown vs Raw 2009, I was really excited about this game. I thought it would operate a lot like those games. WOW!!! Not quite!

I just don't feel like this game really has any playability beyond unlocking all the wrestlers and arenas. Maybe I'm missing something, but I've played the game three times, fought in maybe 10 matches and I'm pretty sure I'm done with it.

The one thing I that is neat about the game is it will link the SVR 2009 game so you can bring your favorite current superstar over to play against the legends.

My advice is that you download the demo before you buy the game. Had I done that.... I could have saved $50+.

I'm a huge wrestling fan. I watch every week, order the PPV's, check websites daily, and talk about it often with my friends and family. Needless to say, when I heard about Legends of Wrestlemania, I was psyched. I tuned in weekly to IGN's roster updates, which fed my hunger for more information on this game. I set aside extra cash from my budget to get it on the day it came out, and even planned on skipping my afternoon classes to spend all day with the game.

15 minutes into the game, I shut it off. You know that feeling when your parents tell you about the cute girl in church who's single, and when you meet her she looks like a hippopotamus burn victim and has the personality of a loose-leaf notebook? That's the feeling I had after playing this game for the first time.

Let's address some good decisions, and some bad decisions, on the part of THQ's development team in designing this game. I've always believed in ending on a positive note, so first, I'll address the bad.

THE BAD:

The control system is suspect at best. There are 3 "levels" in which you progress depending on the amount of offense you execute, with each level unlocking new moves (level 3 unlocks your finisher). You end up repetitively punching and performing the same grapples over and over again as you progress through the levels. So, while there are different moves for each level, you spend enough time on each level that just as soon as you're completely bored of bodyslamming your opponent, you go up a level and can now suplex him.

Certain moves are nearly impossible to pull off. Irish whipping is nearly impossible, and getting on the turnbuckle takes some time to get comfortable with. It's listed as an achievement in the cage match, with the biggest problem being that you can't climb the turnbuckle in a cage match without climbing the cage to win the match.

One HUGE misstep is that you CANNOT run towards your opponent without running backwards off the ropes first. This is an EXTREME annoyance.

The "chain moves" system is extremely limited, and while a good idea in theory, it just doesn't work. As you perform the chain, you end up being more distracted about which button to hit than actually watching what move you're performing. When you do pay attention, you see that many of the moves aren't really "chain" moves at all, but rather cut scenes of different moves. For instance, in one moment Hogan is giving you a big boot, and the very next moment, he's bouncing off the ropes and giving you a leg drop. There is no animation for him actually moving towards the ropes... you pick up the action mid-stride.

There are several bugs with the animation. In the ladder match, when you pull down the belt, it's always the WWE Championship, even if you're battling for the Intercontinental belt. This shows that the game was rushed. Additionally, when the Ultimate Warrior shakes the ropes, his hands are about 5 scaled inches above the actual ropes. This is a minor annoyance, but still enough to where it looks odd. Batista does it better in SvR 2009.

The game modes are limited. Steel Cage and Hell in a Cell matches can only be fought as 1 on 1 encounters. Thus, if you want LOD versus the Brothers of Destruction, it can't be in a Hell in a Cell. Additionally, in the HIAC match, you always begin the battle from the top of the cage. It was cool at first, but after awhile it gets annoying.

In the ladder match (which also limits to 1 on 1), you may not attack someone with the ladder if they are laying on the ground. All you can do is swipe at them with the ladder when both of you are standing. I know ladder matches were much more simple back in the day, but they were more involved than this.

The Royal Rumble match limits your moveset to mostly stomps and kicks, which means that, while exciting at first, it quickly becomes an annoyance. No Finishers are allowed in the Rumble either. It's nearly impossible to throw someone out of the ring unless they are highly damaged. Throwing someone out is much harder than in SvR2009, therefore broken controller buttons are foreseeable.

The create-a-moveset is a nightmare. The create-a-legend has the ability to create Savage and Razor Ramon, but their finishers aren't included on the move-sets. Why not? Obviously, the strict control system doesn't allow for them. Once again, this is a huge ball drop on the part of THQ.

The game flashes blue or red every time you get hit. I thought at first something was wrong with my tv, but apparently it's considered a "feature." It's quite annoying.

The entrance themes are nearly there, but the Big Bossman's familiar "hard time" theme has been replaced by his late-career theme. It was a big let down. I know I can change it by uploading the theme to my ps3, but I paid 60 bucks for this game, I shouldn't have to take extra steps to put in a wrestler's classic theme music in a game that depicts that wrestler from a classic era.

That's enough negativity. It's obviously a very flawed game.

THE GOOD:

The Roster is awesome. Many people hate on this game because there's no Savage or Razor Ramon, and Michael Hayes was included, but that doesn't bother me at all. It's perfect. The character models look great for the most part, and the arenas are perfectly recreated.

The interactive Cell and Cage match environments are great. You can do a lot of neat stuff, such as throwing people through the cell walls, and throwing them off the top a la Mick Foley.

The Commentary is wonderful, smooth, and much less repetitive than SvR2009.

The ability to upload characters from SvR2009 is amazing. I don't know how they do it, but it gives almost limitless opportunities for dream matches.

These are the only good things I can say.

The final verdict? Play at your own risk. Don't pay full price, and rent it if you absolutely MUST see this game for yourself. The only, and I mean, ONLY way I won't feel cheated out of my $60 is for THQ to make this roster available to upload into SvR 2010, and does away with this horrible control scheme. Otherwise, I feel that, as a fan of classic wrestling, and of wrestling today, I was scammed by THQ into buying this poorly planned, marginally executed game.
