Along with the third game this is one of the few rpgs I consistently go back to playing every now and again. Unlike the other various atelier games, you aren't punished in this one by time constraints so you are welcome to farm as many materials for alchemy as you want to.

There isn't anything too amazing about the stories in either game, but it is the combat system that really hooks you. Not enough jrpgs have a fun turn based battle system. They use a battle gauge that fills up on regular attacks and you spend it for more powerful attacks or spells. On top of the decision making that requires, the turn order gauge also plays an important role. Higher speed determines how fast you move to the right side of the bar for your turn to be had. Pushing the enemies back to the far left side of the bar with a break attack stuns them and allows for an auto crit on them. Since break attacks cant build up the attack gauge, you have to balance out each players turn to figure out how best to beat each boss.

Since then i've enjoyed other games with this sort of shared system in place. I highly recommend arc rise fantasia if you like this combat style. It is another hidden gem with one of the best story lines i've ever played.

When I got my PlayStation Move bundle I figured I was all set until I realized that charging two Dual Shock controllers and all of my Move equipment from one USB charger was going to be too much to keep everything properly charged. I went on the search for a charging dock and ran across some of the bigger name brands that ranged from $14 $25. Luckily, I found this for only a fraction of the price of the others on the market. The USB cord that's included can be connected from any USB port, which is double ended, I will explain that a bit more later. and ran into the charging dock, which snugly holds the controllers into the sunks as they charge. A blue ring lights up around the charger to indicate it's working, which also looks very stylish. Back to the double ended USB cord, about midway of the cord, it splits in half and the end that's doubled is the side that goes into the charging source, so it's the big end and doesn't really help charge any of the Move controllers, but the four ports available are enough to do what I need. So far, I've had no problem with getting them to charge and would recommend this product to anyone who needs to charge more than one Move controller simultaneously.

This game has amazing sprites and backgrounds. Characters are blanced and the action is intense and fast. Its different from Guilty Gear as a whole, but after some practice aspects of the game make it feel guilty gearish. The spirits of Sol and Ky and others really do do live on this new franchise. This game is newb friendly, but unfolds as you learn the tricks of the trade and develops into a complex fighter. This is a must own!!! Its a shame because this game will not be recognized by many gamers. I say try it out and support ARKS...if you own the PS3 version i'll be there :D I main Ragna and Rachael

Get ready for the most technical, combo heavy fighting game in existence. But instead of playing online and wanting to throw your fist through your HD tv when you lose a match, this game will make you stare in awe at how awesome it is. No matter how many times I lost, I never got upset, and kept trying harder and harder to get better with my main character. Now on to the review.

Graphics 10/10 The best looking 2D fighter to ever grace the market, period. Everything is smooth and well rendered, and even the backgrounds and simple animations don't disappoint. You have to see this game in action at the highest resolution, period.

Sound 10/10 Both the English and Japanese dub are amazing, and the little quips that happen mid-fight between two of the story characters is also a nice little touch in immersion. Every sound in this game is amazing, and the soundtrack does not disappoint. If you've played any of the Guilty Gear series, then you know exactly what to expect with this game.

Control 10/10 Blisters. In a good way. I haven't enjoyed playing a game so much since SFA3, and the blisters were a welcome badge of honor. The controls for every character are smooth and responsive and really help to make you never feel cheated when inputing a chain, or combo.

Overrall 10/10 If you're a fighter fan, anime fan, or just love art, buy this game....now. Don't wait, don't think on it. Go down to Gamestop right now and pick this up, immediately, you will not be disappointed.

First let me give praise to what the developers have done here. This game offers some of the most impressive deep gameplay that you can find in a 2d fighter. The game, even though a spin-off of the Guilty Gear series may as well be a GG game. It keeps a similar art style, over the top characters, and general gameplay as its GG counterpart. With that being said I am also going to say that this game isn't for every 2d fighter fan. The extensive possibilities in the gameplay can be a turn off for some and at the same time a thank you to other players. Let me explain.

When you play through arcade mode you may find yourself winning, but once you go online and run across veteran players they will show you how you know absolutely nothing about this game and have a lot of learning to do. This is no button masher. This game requires precise planning, when it comes to combos, strategy, how to atack your opponent, when to attack your opponent, etc. On top of that this game is so fast at times that you don't have much time to think at all. Now these things can either be good news to you or bad news.

For those who are GG veterans, they will probably have a much easier time learning how to play than others. For those who are coming from let's say Street Fighter, they will find themselves in very unfamiliar territory. This is game is not your normal 2d fighter. The combos take a while to learn and master and you aren't going to get any where online unless you learn them. For those who appreciate all of these things I mentioned, you should go out and get this game; for those who are put off by the steep learning curve, well you decide.

I give the game 4 stars because I feel it deserves it. Perfect games deserve perfect ratings and this game falls short of that because it caters to the hard-core. It is not newbie friendly. The bonus tutorial disc is well appreciated, but I can't imagine how lost customers who buy the regular version in the future will be. For those who do buy the limited version, make sure you write down all the combos the tutorial disc gives you. You are gonna need them.

In various previews, honestly, BlazBlue came a bit too strong for me. High-paced fighting accompanied by flashy, in the word's truest sense, super moves only seemed... again, honestly, pretentious. After I thought I'd just burned off $65 on a mediocre, new (for me) fighting IP, I was only to be simply amazed at this astounding video game.

BlazBlue features 12 characters. 12 very different, clearly distinct stylish guys and gals and others. They are not like characters from the King of Fighters, all with different moves stemming out of same semi-/quartercircle + punch/kick commands. To get to know, to be able to play with a character means that you have invested in a fair amount of time. Doing so is necessary for not only playing against other players online but against CPUs in Versus or Arcade Mode.

BlazBlue's initial release package (the Limited Edition), along with the game, includes a bonus Blu-Ray disc and two whole discs of soundtracks. Please, if you're able to appreciate video game music and are going to get this game, don't wait until Standard Editions replace the Limited ones on the store shelf and get it now because as good as the game is, those two discs of soundtracks are a legitimate music album themselves. You want a fighting game music to be on a orchestral, up-class, and royal atmosphere (contrary to SF or KOF or any other conventional fighters before), this is as good as it gets.

Even if you didn't care much for each character's unique move-sets or even the accompanying soundtracks, I want to believe that you, at least, care for what you see. I just cannot say enough for its fantastic visuals colors are full, animations well-executed, effects notably placed. Cel-shading has never been presented at a better level and until the end of the ps3/360 cycle, it is not going to be outdone.

I want to end this short right about at this point, but I have to applaud the U.S. localization team. Well, sure the translations were smooth, but the voice actors and actresses. Watching dubbed animes these days, I guessed the U.S. performers just lost their fire or whatever, but boy was I surprised. From the objective point of view, it is definitely on par with the Japanese dub. I was pleased to be able to enjoy the game without having to toggle the sound to the original recording. Kudos.

BlazBlue is a bar-setting, near-perfect fighter that is, as complicated as it is, even beginner-friendly with its "Easy Specials" utilizing R3 on the ps3 controller. Original SF or KOF fans might feel a little uncomfortable at the characters' slightly different ranges of motion per press, but with time, that's bound to fade.

Actually, if you've been ready (for a long time) to embrace a deep, profound fighter with class and originality, BlazBlue would be the perfect game.

BlazBlue, the spiritual successor to Guilty Gear. Developed by Arc Systemworks, music composed by Daisuke Ishiwatari, original creator of Guilty Gear!

PROS:

Comes with two disc official sound track

DVD containing basic info on Bread and Butter Combos for all 12 characters

HD 2D animation is gorgeous! Can't say this enough, the 2D characters with a 3D background is eye candy. The animation for for Distortion Drives are well drawn. Online mode is superb. The netcode is quite impressive. It offers replays of top players with a rank of 1500 or higher for all characters to download and watch. Playing several hundred matches, even with lag, matches don't disconnect unless your ISP service just drops. Each room supports up to six players, so you can go vs. against several friends or co-workers.

CONS:

Small roster of characters, just 12

Even though the roster isn't that big, each character is unique with their own play style and Drive. No character is a clone of another which adds variety to the cast. I bought this Limited Edition a few months back, and never regretted it once. Best Fighter and new Fighter IP of 2009. Recommend this to anyone who loves 2D fighters or grew up playing them in the arcades.

I read all the hate about this game and how it was an unrealistic rail shooter that you can't control your movement. I seen it compared to Area-51 and other rail shooters that I actually really enjoyed so I just assumed the people tearing it apart where just FPS fanatics that only like games like Resistance, so I went ahead and bought it.

Long story short, it's a very bad game with very cheesey voice overs. I played it with my gf for about an hour and haven't played it again since. I want to stress that I do enjoy rail shooters like Time Crisis and House of the Dead, but not this game.

I didn't buy this game through Amazon, I happened to purchase this at Wal-mart and have since regretted it. Heavy fire Afghanistan is not worth the money I spent on it, I consider this a learning lesson. It is a rail-shooter through and through. You can't control your movement and if you see ammo SHOOT IT FAST cuz you won't get the chance to get it later or anything for that matter, grenades and health. I played maybe 10 minutes of this game and already know that it just sucks. If I can't move my avatar or take cover when and where I need to then forget it. This game can sit here and grow dust. I would not recommend this game to anyone. If you need a break from games like COD or Battlefield, even Socom, try Sniper Ghost Warrior or even Spec Ops The Line, heck even I am Alive is a better game. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

This is a classic "shooter on rails" style of shooter game. Sorta like a time crisis style game. I had a lot of fun beating this game 2 times and getting all the trophies to get the platinum. There are no collectables and its just a "play the game" type of game.

I really enjoyed it. It is not like COD or Battlefield and there is a reason it is priced inexpensive but for what I paid for it I got WAY more value out of it than it cost

First off, if you are expecting a first person shooter along the lines of Battlefield 3 or Call of Duty, you will be disappointed. This game is straight up old school, on rails, shooter heaven. If you ever played a Time Crisis game, that is what you can expect from this. For the price this game is an excellent value. I'm surprised at how much content is in here. And the replay value as you try to prefect each level is high.

There are multiple ways you can play the game: with a regular controller, with a Move motion controller, with a Move motion controller and a regular controller, or the way the game was meant to be played, with a Move motion controller and navigation controller. You control aiming and firing with the motion controller, and reloading, throwing grenades, and ducking into cover with the navigation controller. Utilizing both those controllers gives you a great experience, and in my opinion is one of the best uses of the Move controllers I've played with. Occasionally you'll need to use the motion controller to jump over crates or duck out of the way of falling objects, and the implementation of these actions is done very well, with simple hand motions that are indicated on the screen.

The graphics are good, especially when you consider this is a $20 game. Pacing is excellent, you never linger too long on one section. The only knock I would give this game is for the gun sound effects. I agree with another reviewer that the gun sounds are rather flat, and don't sound realistic.

Other than that one flaw, I would highly recommend this title, especially when you consider the value you are getting for $20.

Want Heavy Fire: Afghanistan Discount?

the pretext for this game is interesting, but when you actually play you discover that the computer moves the player from scene to scene, and you the shooter have no mobility control other than pivot and fire. when you are ambushed, the computer moves you to the side street, and you cannot run to another spot to return fire. trapped in an intersection? caught in a crossfire? you can't seek shelter because the game format keeps you there as a target until you kill all the baddies, if you live. excellent graphics and fire control, but a serious lack of mobility under fire.

If you're looking for a quality PS3 controller, this is not the company you should be shopping with. I recently bought two controllers from this company because the price was right and I thought I was getting an actual playstation 3 controller. I was wrong. The controllers themselves are simply playstation 2 controllers with a PS3 cable. They are not wireless and there are no stickers for the square, triangle, circle, and X buttons. I went to use them and the analog sticks do not work well at all with any of my playstation 3 games, including Ghost Recon 2, NCAA 08, Splinter Cell, Formula 1 Championship, etc. I tried to contact the company to see about returning the controllers and I have yet to hear back from them. Just spend the extra money to get an actual PS3 controller, I promise you'll be dissapointed with these.

No issues with it thus far, received it swiftly, the select button is a little tough to press but the rest of the buttons have a nice stiffness to them personally. Definitely a good buy for the price, no compatibility issues yet either. Plays Street Fighter IV and I made a Pinnacle profile for it, no rumble unfortunately but for 14 bucks with s+h no other real complaints.

Well if there was any doubt that the PS3 would be able to hit a homerun and kick start the console those fears can be laid to rest as Insomniac delivers one of the finest games to grace any console.

Ratchet and Clank Future: TOD will go down as one of those games that changed the landscape for platform games. Why? Well for one if you have ever had the dream of wanting to actually play a Pixar movie this is as close as you're going to get. The graphics are nothing short of amazing and truly shows off the real potential of what the PS3 is capable of producing. If you have an HDTV set that can handle 720p or higher you are in for a real treat as your TV is going to be bursting with smooth frame rates, tons of characters on screen and loads of beautiful colors. It's just total eye candy at every single turn. You will be blown away.

The game play is smooth as butter too. Smashing enemies and blowing things up is a real joy in this game and the action never lets up, not for a bit. The game has a pace to keep even the most hardcore gamer on their toes moving faster then a Lombax with his tail on fire it just keeps the adrenaline junky satisfied. You will not get bored playing this game.

Humor wise this is one of those rare games will you be laughing out loud to. This is like I stated above playing a Pixar movie. Not only for the graphics but the actual content of voice acting and story line. It's just fun all the way around.

One thing I wanted to point out that had me smiling from ear to ear was the sound. WOW! If you have a 7.1 system you will be blown away by the uncompressed 7.1 PCM that this game delivers. This is what your home theater system was bought for and it really shines in this game. Totally immersing and very impressive down to the last bolt pinging across the room in glorious 7.1!

In closing this is without a doubt a must have game. This is the type of game that can and will sell systems. PS3 owners can breathe a sigh of relief that all the promise of the great next gen games that were coming for the PS3 have finally started to arrive and Ratchet and Clank is a benchmark of excellence that will be leading the way into the holiday season.

Enjoy!

I have always been a little slow on getting into platformers. Usually my intrest wains after a few hours. As beautiful as this game is I was thinking I would fall into the same trap. So I decided to give it an hour. I couldn't put the controller down. The problem became so bad that I couldn't get up. Yes it is that addictive.

What makes this game a masterpiece is not just the beautiful graphics or the exciting storyline. The fun characters keep it going but what really impresses me is the diversity of each level. I have played this game for over six hours and each level looks completly different from the next. From being in the asteroid belt to going to a destroyed city and then travelling thru a prehistoric land.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction should be on everyones buy list. This is what gaming is all about. For children or adults this game doesn't discriminate. Never overlly difficult and not to simple. This game does it well on all levels.

Buy Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Now

This is arguably best platformer I have ever played. This game really captures the feel of a pixar movie and throws in great gameplay. If you have a PS3, you owe it to yourself to buy this game. If you do not have a PS3, well you're just crazy ;) this machine is pure class.

This is the best looking game 'til date on any platform. I literately just stop playing and admire the beautiful environment.

Pros

+ Best graphics this generation so far. This is Pixar quality people!

+ Gameplay is very well done.

+ Very fun to play

+ Crazy weapons that will have you trying different things out for days. Groovitron will rock you!

+ Good Lasting Appeal. Like all Rachet and Clank games this one will give you alot of mini games and reruns to keep you busy.

+ 12-15 hrs of regular game without counting the extras.

Cons:

If your played the previous games, it may not seem as original...

Yeah I really have to reach to come out with a negative, sorry there just isnt much wrong with this game.

Don't believe me? How about the critics?

100/100 GamePro

An amazing PS3 game that fully leverages the power of the console. It sets the bar high for not only the series but for all PS3 games to come. It is, without a doubt, reason enough to buy the system.

100/100 GameTap

It's rare that a game critic feels the way I do about this game, but in all honesty, I find it really difficult to find something that's not to like. The controls feel great. The graphics look great. The score sounds great. The weapon selection alone make me want to play the game over and over again, just to test out all the cool offered.

95/100 PSM Magazine

Combines absolutely jaw-dropping graphics with familiar platforming/shooting mechanics and genuinely funny humor to make one of the PS3's few true masterpieces.

94/100 IGN

Not only has it supplanted Going Commando as the best title in the franchise, it's also the best game of any series on the PlayStation 3 thus far -and that's saying a lot when you're up against Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden, Warhawk and Insomniac's very own previous effort, Resistance: Fall of Man.

Let's face it you love the PS3 and everything about it, except the games that are out. You were wondering when is that game going to come out that is going to make it truly irresistible to own the PS3 for those who are hesitant buying it just for the blu-ray movie value. This is that game! Our family has always been fans of the R&C series and own all the games except the PSP "Size Matters" game.

The graphics and sound are truly stunning in this game. I agree with the other reviewer who died looking at the backgrounds you will keep falling off the map watching the graphics in the game. With this R&C you believe you are playing in a Pixar movie.

This is the game we have been waiting for one that is truly playable and looks and sounds amazing. It's time to buy that PS3 if you don't own one already.

Finally, a horse race game with which I can be successful, especially in the easy mode. It's a really good game and I'm glad I bought it. I am 73 years old and play this game on a PS3 with no glitches of any kind. The game has flat courses and jumping courses as well as falls or accidents, fouls and inquiries and you can study the traits of dams and sites when deciding to breed your own horse.

Click Here to Read More Reviews >>

Just got this game from Gamestop used during buy 2 get 1 free deal. I was looking forward to this game since "G1 Jockey 3" for Playstation 2. Compare to Gallop Racer series, this is more jockey based with story mode rather than breeding. I personally enjoy jockey based and story driven as well as RPG style type of horse racing. I finished 1 year in "G1 Jockey 3" and going for 2nd. Got top first place after 1 year but there's more to the game such as better horses, try to be friendly with more stables, etc. Anyway, with that said, here's my review on "Champion Jockey: G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer."

First the name itself is interesting. Since Tecmo merges with KOEI, guess it makes sense to have two series together.

Graphics---Graphic definitely has improved, however, racing part looks similar to Playstation 2.

Sound---Need voice over. I think it's about time the game needs voice over. Expect a lot of reading from this game. Also, there's no commentary during race. Rather, you just get some techno music and others.

Gameplay---Join a stable, try to get fame to ride better horse, train horse before racing, all part of jockey's life. I must say, this one is more faster pace than PS2 version. Hit right timing to start from gate, accelerate with triangle depends on your horse racing style then keep normal pace, and finally, during optimal meters left, accelerate to max then whip to make horse "Go" condition and time triangle following horse's pace and you will get first. Yep, this is definitely a treat if you've played before. I love how Koei/Tecmo kept same gameplay; it was easy and little bit complex at the same time. Also, you can MOVE controllers so that's definitely a plus! Needs 3D too and that'd be nice.

In any case, this game is more for people who've played G1 Jockey and Gallop Racer series before. If you haven't, expect learning curve. But once you master it, you will get a lot of fun that you can't quit. Besides, you can more than 1 year in the game and things you've earned carry over except places in leader board which resets itself.

I actually prefer GR, but I tried out G1J and got hooked. When I heard this game was coming I waited with baited breath for it to go on pre-sale then ordered as soon as it did. LOVE IT!

This is the successor to both series and is developed by the now-merged Tecmo-Koei group. This game brings in aspects of both titles and blends them quite well. It also expands on some areas familiar to players of both titles.

It's based largely and heavily on G1J:

-Follow the career of a Jockey from Apprentice to Pro

-Gain the ability to breed one horse each season, selecting parents from you trainer's string and selecting flat or jump style preference

-most of the rest of the gameplay will be familiar to anyone who's played G1J

-Unicorns, Red, White, and the other unlockables have been included

It also imports some features from GR:

-horses have a surface preference: Dirt and/or Turf

-Horses have Abilities that can be activated in race and inherited when breeding

-Abilities can be upgraded, though the method is different from what GR used

-Night Racing

New features exclusive to this title:

-Jump Races have been added along with Abilities exclusive to the jump horses (Likes Jumping, for example)

-Jockey's can transfer to a new Region if they have done well-enough during the year (US in year 1 gives you the option to transfer to Japan, EU transfers to US [North America, in game]) note that you can not take your bred horse(s) with you if you transfer

-Trophy Support on PSN

-A bred horse may spontaneously mutate and develop new abilities based on how you train it (my horse was born with no abilities then suddenly developed 4 "???" abilities for her first race [a hold-up/Follow runner, 2 abilities wound up being Free and Closer, I suspect another is Last To First])

-The bots may now be disqualified by the stewards if they interfere with you.

-Live network functionality: local and WiFi multiplayer

-Mo-cap: PS-eye and Move controller required for this functionality, though the game is 100% playable on a standard Sixaxis/DualShock3 controller.

Gameplay tips:

Do the tutorials; every one of them. Run the practice races in Jockey School at the beginning. The paper manual is like all the others in the G1J franchise: lackluster; GR's manual was much more comprehensive. The tutorials teach you the basic controls as well as how to jump properly.

Falls and Stewards Enquiry can both be enabled or disabled; it's a riot to see your jockey fall in the gate or from tripping over someone else coming down the stretch, though it's likely to result in you losing out during your career due to protracted recovery times. Note that the horses may also suffer injuries and be sidelined. Would suggest setting these to "disabled" if you're just starting out; they can be adjusted later.

This title is NOT available on the XBox in USA. If you have a USA XBox console you'll have to import from UK or Australia. PS3 title runs with standard AV cables, but you'll see amazing video quality if you use HDMI (mine is in 1080i and it's fabulous I can see the horses' breath steaming and even the dirt clods kicked up from their hooves).

Highly Recommend this title.

First off, I must admit that I have always been a devout fan of the Gallop Racer franchise. My first game was Gallop Racer 2001, followed by 2003, 2004, and then 2006. I have always been impressed not so much with Gallop Racer's graphics or race elements, but the depth of customization the games offered through breeding your own horse. In the Gallop Racer games, the focus was always put more on your horses and horse ownership than it was on being a jockey. Not so anymore with Champion Jockey.

Players of Gallop Racer 2004 will be more familiar with this approach to a horse racing game. Like in 2004, you begin the game as a newblood looking to make their name in the racing world. After some short tutorials (which can thankfully be repeated as much as necessary), you are turned loose in the racing world. Within twenty minutes of playing (or more, depending on how fast you read the ofttimes silly but nevertheless engaging story text) you are playing the main part of the game.

I feel this game is more realistic than Gallop Racer in the sense that it focuses on the life of a jockey. This includes the improvement of skills, the ability to train, and the relationship between yourself, other jockeys, the stable trainers you work for, and the press. This is a formula that will be familiar to those who played Gallop Racer 2004, just without the silly rival jockey and trainer caricatures. Your ultimate goal in this game is to establish good relationships with the trainers so that the trainers offer you more rides. The better relationship you have with your trainers, the better horses they will ask you to ride or become stable jockey (regular rider) for. Having good relationships with other jockeys and members of the press and training staff at your stable will also give you perks.

The racing experience can be as simple or as difficult as you want it to be. Players who are familiar with the G1 Jockey controls may choose to manually control everything from the horse's bit position to flying lead changes in the middle of the race. Newer players may opt to use more basic controls with more of the more difficult controls taken care of manually. One of the things I love about this game is that it allows complete customization of the controls. You could have a very easy race experience, or a more realistic race experience complete with horse and jockey falls and injuries and race enquiries which may change your finish position if you block another horse and interfere with the flow of the race.

The game includes several different tracks which were inspired by their real-life counterparts. As your skills and wins increase, you will be able to transfer to different countries to ride and participate in different races. While you might not be able to participate in the famed Kentucky Derby or Breeder's Cup, the American races have suitable equivalents ("The Louisville Derby" and "Jockey Cup" series). The races in Japan are authentic. This game includes races on both dirt and turf, and brings with it the formerly G1 Jockey exclusive jump races (steeplechases). Steeplechases are only run at certain times during the year, and are a lot of fun to ride in.

The graphics are alright. The horses look very good, and I like the variety that Gallop Racer seemed to be lacking. Each color has two to three variants. Your horse can be grey, dark grey, black, brown, bay, dark bay, chestnut, dark chestnut, or flaxen chestnut. You can also unlock other colors such as red and cremello ("albino") through breeding and mutations. The horses vary in size as well, which is different from Gallop Racer.

If I had to have one gripe with Champion Jockey it would be with their stable jockey and breeding system. The depth is gone from the breeding system, and works as it did in Gallop Racer 2006 where you are allowed to select two horses from your trainer's stable to breed and then train. The foal stage is gone, and you can begin training the resultant horse from your chosen pairing immediately after the breeding. In order to train your horse, you must complete mini-games. Your success in the mini-games determines the growth of your horse's skills. I personally found the mini-games very difficult, and cannot be successful in many of them. Thankfully, the game has an "auto ride" option. When choosing auto-ride, the game takes into accounts your skills and the condition of the track, and you get a randomized result from training.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoy Champion Jockey and would recommend it to any horse fan or racing fan.

Best jockey game since Gallop Racer 2001. For those who don't have the Move yet they let you use your Sixaxis controller and it works great. I was able to jump right into the riding portion of the game. But I'm still learning the RPG portion. It's very exciting riding a closing horse blasting through the pack.

My only fault with this title is that they use European tracks and the metric system for a North American release.

I rate Winning Post as my favorite horse racing game, even after 16 years. You Sega Saturn owners know what I am talking about. But this would be tied for second with the 2001 version of Gallop Racer.

I am still hoping for a N. American update to the great Winning Post. Go KOEI!

I bought this unsure if a PAL region game would work with my NTSC region console. I can say that it works and this game is brilliant, even 3 years after the original release. Sure, I could have bought it on PSN, but I am a fan of physical media.

Its an okay stand, but the description is misleading, also the photos of the item is misleading too, the usb ports on the stand can't be recognized by the PS3 since theres no way to hook it up with the ps3 because monster stopped producing these as an usb hub, so basically this is a stand/charger,not an usb hub.

Ok so I got this product not to long ago on here. Shipping was very fast.

Some IMPORTANT things to know before getting this.

The blue stripe you see on it is supposed to be like in the movie and light up, But it DOES NOT light up. The only part that DOES light up are these little white/light blue dots in the front.

The charging station is meant ONLY to charge controllers and headsets. It is NOT a hub. Which means you cant put a external hard drive or USB flash drive in it and use it there. However it is very nice because the PlayStation can be turned off and you can still charge stuff even when its not powered on!

There is NO installation software for this product you simply just: Unplug the power cord from the back of the PlayStation. Gently slide in the Power Station onto the console. and plug the cord that comes with the Power Station into the back of the power input. Note: This will NOT cover up any fans or overheat the console. It may add a little room but its very cool!

It has a very advanced power surge protection system to prevent power complications from ruining the console and WILL alert you with a alarm saying that your PlayStation has been protected.

It also acts as a vertical stand with a slide out part to make it vertical, But I would HIGHLY recommend NOT doing that as it MIGHT damage the game discs.

Lastly this is ONLY for the PlayStation 3 SLIM. The older model PlayStation 3 console and this product will NOT work together.

Pro's

+ It adds 4 new charging ports to your console

+ It has a optional vertical stand

+ It adds power sure protection

+ It is easy to install, and takes up only a little bit more room

Con's

There is no long blue light on it. It is in fact a STICKER.

It is not a HUB for extra external hard drives or USB sticks

OVERALL: This is mainly to make your PS3 look really cool and show off to your friends! but comes with a added bonus of a charging ports and safety!

9/10 Very good product!

UPDATE: I have had this for about a month or so now and everything is just fine. No problems!

pros.

+ looks nice: Looks much sexier than any other stand on the market, plus it's TRON styled. I wish the white stripe would light up but only the T arranged square lights towards the front light up. Note: these are always on, even when the ps3 is turned off.

+ clean power: though debatable, the added Monster 'clean power' adds some peace of mind for your $300+ ps3.

+ surge protection: though most people already have a surge protector they aren't always high quality ones; even so, surges can still damage electronics, so it's nice to have the extra protection just in case.

+ USB ports at front of stand are always on, therefore you can charge controllers or other electronics (eg, cell phones, headsets, etc.) even when the ps3 is turned off.

cons.

USB charging only! the USB ports can only be used to charge and will not be recognized by the ps3 for any other purpose (eg, instrument dongles will not work, microphones, etc.)

price! premium price considering the lack of USB functionality and the fact that most people already have a surge protector or USB charging station

Overall, it's a very nice product and adds a unique look to the ps3.

Works great and looks great. I didn't realize it was TRON licensed when I ordered, but a true fan of the series may recognize that a little better than I would. Looks great when installed, takes only seconds to hook up. Perfect for someone who wants to charge controllers/accessories when the PS3 is shut down. It would be better if it allowed the USB ports to read a device, such as a flashdrive or mp3 player, but this attachment doesn't obstruct the two original USB ports, so it's really not an issue. LEDS look great, not too bright in my opinion, which is a common complaint about these types of products. Having a built-in surge protector is an added bonus, though I still run it through a surge-protected power strip. Great product overall.

I like the concept a lot and the power conditioning is good to have. At $20, it's a steal. The 4 USB ports are handy. Wondering why the smaller USB port shown in pictures wasn't on the product. What was the design change for?

These triggers work, but not as good as the previous ones I had. (Can't remember brand of those). They do stick the trigger if squeezed to hard, so I had to manually unstick one. Not bad for the money, but not professional.
